Best price for value out there
Nicole, Colleen, and the rest of the Urban Allure team did all of the florals for our wedding and it completely exceeded all of my expectations. Nicole worked with me over several meetings to help me bring my vision to life. She had amazing creative ideas that I would have never thought of on my own and really understood what we were going for. They hung florals, disco balls, and even chandeliers over our dance floor, creating the most stunning environment. Colleen, who handled a lot of the floral sourcing, even included some beautiful blooms from her personal garden in our arrangements. It was such a special touch.
Choosing Urban Allure was one of the BEST vendor decisions I could have made and I'd recommend them to anyone. -

Having a wedding planner is the absolute best decision you can make for your wedding day, but an even better decision is hiring Urban Allure Events as your planning team.
We had the incredible pleasure of having Nicole, the owner be our lead planner for the day of our wedding. She is proactive, responsive and a masterful timeline creator. Our wedding day was flawless in large part because of Nicole. Whenever she had even a whiff of something going sideways, she had almost a sixth sense to get in front of it and fix it without me ever having to worry about it. Details I thought I had nailed, she thought of and made it even better than I dreamed.
From our first call with Nicole she asked what we were worried/stressed about and as a marketer who's planned and hosted many events I told her my only worry was being wrapped up in making sure everyone else had a good time and that I wouldn't focus on myself having a good one. She took that to heart and made sure literally the only thing I thought about was being present with my new husband, family and friends the entire day.
People kept asking me "how are you so calm?" and my answer was "I don't have to worry about anything, I have Nicole and the Urban Allure team."

Issabelle is amazing!
We worked with Issabelle from Urban Allure as our month of coordinator, and she was incredible. Very helpful, always responsive to questions, and kept us on track leading up to the big day. She made sure our day of timeline was thorough, including to make sure we had time before the reception to see the space and practice our first dance. Issabelle made sure we had time alone to take it all in. She checked on us throughout getting ready, photos, and the reception to make sure we were happy and things were going smoothly. She coordinated with all of our vendors and was a great communicator when issues arose. Highly recommend Issabelle and Urban Allure for your wedding! -

Sanity saver!
I worked with Gina for almost a year leading up to the wedding (partial planning package) and, on the big day, she made our vision come to life and took all of the stress off of me (and my mom and bridesmaids). Absolutely Amazing
Jennifer was absolutely amazing! Not only did she make sure the day of the wedding went smoothly, but during the months before she would check up on me regularly to make sure I was doing okay and wasn’t stressed. Whenever I needed to talk or vent, she was available, and I am so appreciative of that. The google sheet she created really helped us stay on track and organized. All my vendors were super impressed by her and loved how involved she was with them. She attended multiple zoom vendor meetings, a venue walk-through, and our wedding rehearsal... I honestly don’t know how I would have done all this without her. She made me feel so at ease the day of. When an issue arose at the wedding, Jennifer completely took care of the situation and made sure I didn’t have to worry. She recommended me hands down the BEST drag performers which completely made the whole night, everyone was blown away! Jennifer and her assistant Kyleigh made sure my day was everything I imagined. I definitely recommend UAE, specifically Jennifer, to any bride who wants a stress-free wedding, you will not be disappointed, these girls truly care, and I will forever be grateful. -

If you're on the fence - DO IT
As a partner vendor with Room 1520, I had the pleasure of working with Kyleigh as my day of coordinator. What no one told me about a day of coordinator is that they actually begin working with you about a month in advance of your wedding! Kyleigh took over as the main contact for all my vendors in advance and had a few sessions with me to let me know what to expect day of. She was AMAZING to work with and handled every detail with grace and a smile on her face. We had about an hour delay due to my transportation company not picking up guests as scheduled and Kyleigh went above and beyond to resolve the situation day of as well as calling them and myself the Monday after to ensure a resolution was executed. Even though we had that delay, Kyleigh worked with the vendor team to shorten up some things so that we could get the guests to eating and drinking as soon as possible. If you’re on the fence about getting a coordinator - IT’S WORTH IT - and Urban Allure is the best in the biz. -

Newberry Library/Washington Square Park Wedding
Kelley, with Urban Allure Events, was the perfect person to coordinate our wedding. She is incredibly organized, and her goal is to make sure the couple has the best day possible. She did so many things to help the event run smoothly such as running to Walgreens to get Benadryl for a guest with an allergic reaction, ensuring all of our luggage was brought to the hotel and running a smooth operation. Her coordination on the day of the event was critical to everything running perfectly. Kelley helped take so much stress off of me and truly helped me to enjoy our wedding day to its fullest.

Our wedding wouldn't have been the same without Nicole.
Nicole is the best in the business. Even if I hadn’t been a pandemic bride, I would have been so lost without her. She was there for every phone call, every meeting, and every major planning decision so that our wedding didn’t even have a minor hiccup. Mind you my Husband and I are in Pittsburgh, Nicole is in Chicago, and our Venue was in Destin, FL. Being in different time zones was never a problem she was always so on top of everything. Nicole helped us to replan and reschedule everything when the pandemic hit. She was a shoulder to cry on as well and was so supportive through the entire thing. On top of rescheduling a year of weddings she was also taking on new ones for the following years and not once did she miss a detail; and I’m talking about small details like placing origami boats at the tables before the reception. From the exact position of the aisle and alter I wanted… to receiving and coordinating every delivery the day of the wedding I did not lift a finger. She took thorough notes for two years and even reminded me multiple times of things I missed or things I had mentioned in the past that I had forgotten. She is truly the best. My husband and I will never be getting married again, but I wish we were just so Nicole could help us plan! Her organizational skills and experience are second to none and she was prepared for anything that were to happen the day of our Wedding. We did almost all of our photos before the ceremony and were on a strict timeline all day. She was on top of every second making sure no one got lost and even escorted the groom to the first look to ensure he didn’t see me!! We would not have been even close to on time if it weren’t for Nicole. We even did an event after rehearsal dinner that she helped us coordinate the entire event and all the transportation for and ensured all our guests made it to the beach and back safely. We absolutely adore Nicole and if you’re on the fence about getting a wedding planner. YOU WON’T REGRET IT. -

Nicole is the absolute best!!
Nicole was AMAZING and we truly would not have been able to do it without her. She was with us through every step of the planning process from the initial stages while we were decided where to hold our wedding, through the difficult decision to postpone and re-plan a small wedding for close family and friends due to Covid. She always provided invaluable expert advice and thoughtful guidance when rescheduling with our vendors and selecting the right ones for us. She made the day of our wedding as seamless and smooth as possible and anticipated every possible need that might come up. She went above and beyond through the entire process. We would highly recommend Nicole and her team to anyone planning a wedding or event. She made the entire process and day an absolute joy. Amazing Wedding Planners
Without Nicole, our wedding would have been so stressful. We ended up postponing our large wedding plans due to covid, and Nicole was with us for every step along the way. She helped us change the date with our original vendors, she helped secure some vendors for our new small ceremony, and she made the day run so smoothly. She even helped us book a few vendors even 48 hours prior to our small wedding. We couldn't have done it without her! -

Peace of Mind
Nicole and her team are so valuable. Any bride works hard to plan every detail of their wedding day and Nicole allows you to enjoy all the time and energy on the wedding day by not having to worry about anything! She literally ran the show but did it in a very respectful, kind, and loving way. She calmed me down and made me feel very comfortable while getting ready so I could enjoy every moment of the ceremony and reception. Couldn’t have pulled off all the details without her (or without going crazy)! -

You need to hire Nicole and Urban Allure Events!
We cannot thank Nicole enough for all she did to make our wedding day so magical! We were on the fence about hiring a wedding planner and seriously could not have made it through our day without her. We got married at a hotel in downtown Chicago, so a lot of our vendor decisions were through the venue, and there was a coordinator with the hotel, but I am SO happy we decided we needed Nicole as well! She was there to offer advice, calm the craziness of the month, weeks, and days before, and she was there to coordinate all the details between all the vendors. We had to deal with someone at our wedding venue who had a very strong, and at times, difficult personality to deal with, and Nicole handled it like a pro! She also helped us SO much the week before, from taking everything to the hotel, to picking up our wedding favors, which took so much stress off of us! We are just so thankful to Nicole and her team for everything they did for our wedding day! If you are on the fence about hiring a wedding planner, or just aren't sure who to hire, look no further, hire Urban Allure now! -

Nicole & her team are the key to truly enjoying your wedding day!
Here’s the short version: a “day-of” wedding planner is more than worth it and Nicole and her team are the perfect people to do it.
Long version:
We worked with Nicole through a partial planning package. I was initially unsure about having a wedding planner, but the moment my husband and I met her, we knew she would make sure that we’d ENJOY our wedding day. She was on top of it all and such a pleasure to work with. Her experience in the industry (she knows everyone and everything!) and calming presence will make sure that your day goes smoothly. We also loved that she would give us advice if we needed it, but was down to handle whatever decision we made – whether it was the easy/pricy option or an alternative DIY option! Moreover, she’s simply a great person and it was wonderful for her be a part of such a special day.
She made me feel very supported and confident throughout the planning process and WE HAD A BLAST during the wedding because of her. Instead of playing the part of the planner, we were able to just be present as everything came together magically around us. In addition to her coordinating all the vendors and sequence of events, she transported all of our wedding items to and from the venue, making sure everything was setup as we wanted and got back to us. This was HUGE and we were grateful not to have to ask any of our guests to setup, or worse, clean up. Nicole and her team were essential to us feeling that our wedding was the “perfect wedding” (a direct quote from so many of our guests!). As a person with no small amount of anxiety and who likes to be in control, it’s hard to feel like things ever go perfectly, but Nicole made it happen. Being able to enjoy your own wedding is priceless. -

The best doc
All you need to know is that Nicole is fantastic, and you want her to be your coordinator. She's the absolute best. We booked Nicole for Day of Coordination for our 7/20/19 wedding, but she was a helpful resource all throughout our wedding planning. Not only is she kind, helpful, and accommodating, this woman gets things done. She worked seamlessly alongside our other vendors, and they all said that she is a joy to work with. So many times throughout planning, we'd mention that we hired Nicole from Urban Allure for our coordination, and they would tell us about how wonderful she was, completely unsolicited. She's a source of calm for you on your wedding day, and she has no problem standing up to venue staff or difficult family if the need arises. The best part, she is on your side and makes sure your vision as the bride and groom is executed. I'm a detail-oriented person, and I was able to relax and just let my wedding day happen because I knew Nicole and her amazing staff were taking care of the coordination and details. I was able to be present and fully enjoy my wedding day - something I could not have done if I had all those other things on my mind. We didn't have to field any questions on the wedding day, Nicole and her team took care of everything. Urban Allure was the best money we spent, because there is no substitution for getting to truly enjoy your wedding day.

Above and beyond planning
Our wedding would not have been the same without Urban Allure and Nicole. We only had day-of services however, the process started before the week of our wedding and our wedding was stress free! The best part was Nicole made it easy for my mother and mother-in-law to relax and enjoy the day as well! Not only did the day go flawlessly thanks to Nicole, she managed to get us on the video board at Wrigley Field the next day when we took our family to a Cubs game. She was there (not working) and took the extra step to celebrate us! Nicole is AMAZING. Urban Allure is an essential part of any wedding. -

The Single Best Wedding Investment Possible!
Nicole is genuinely a miracle worker - we could not imagine having planned and executed our wedding without her and the Urban Allure team. Upon meeting Nicole, we immediately felt so much trust - this feeling only grew and progressed as the planning process went on!
We planned our wedding in Chicago from Boston, so we decided to elect for Partial Planning services in addition to Day-Of Coordinator (whatever you do - at the VERY LEAST hire Urban Allure for this service - you will thank yourself!). She ended up recommending every single vendor we utilized, negotiated contracts, walked through every detail (which we 100% would have omitted without her support), and met up every time we visited Chicago to talk through next steps. My husband and I are both super laid back and aren't ones to sweat small details, and she never pushed us to go above and beyond where we felt comfortable/helped us find ways to secure everything we needed without any finicky additional work.
On our wedding day, Nicole was there from the morning on, ensuring that everyone was where they needed to be and we were calm, cool, and collected! She skillfully combated an emergency dress-mud situation - pulling seltzer water, lemon, Shout pads, and baby powder from her fanny pack as though this were an extremely typical situation. Our wedding was absolutely perfect and the true embodiment of who we are - Nicole even ensured that a very elaborate wedding dance to Beyonce's Homecoming (with Beyonce's actual performance playing in the background...) was executed to perfection. We were at ease the entire day and overwhelmingly and blissfully happy.
Overall - I'd say Urban Allure was hands down the best investment we made in our wedding. I could not recommend them highly enough and will refer them to anyone possible, as everyone deserves a wedding that is a true reflection of the love they share with their partner. Thank you so, so much, Nicole & team! -

MVP for Our Wedding
Nicole is INCREDIBLE! I can without a doubt say that Urban Allure Events was the most important vendor at our out-of-state wedding and played an instrumental role in our wedding weekend being perfect. I was a SUPER indecisive bride with a lot of life stressors in advance of our wedding, Nicole eased all of my concerns, answered all of our questions (on top of things we never would have thought of!) and helped us immensely through the entire planning process.
As wonderful as Nicole was throughout our planning process, the coordination and organization of the UAEvents team the weekend of our wedding completely blew us away. We had a welcome party at a remote location and Nicole and Brittany set up the room for us, filled our welcome bags, and ensured that we were completely stress free for the entirety of the party. The wedding day also could not have gone more perfectly, at least from our perspective! Nicole, Brittany, and Jenny were SO organized and prepared for anything—it was amazing! They were there from the very beginning of the day to the very last minute and managed the vendor arrivals and payments, ensured our shuttles with guests made it from one incredibly rural location to another, managed guest/vendor needs, and so much more totally calmly and discretely. Communication by the UAE team was also impeccable. We were unable to have a rehearsal at our venue and they ensured our vendors, bridal party, and families knew where to be and that we all remained on schedule for the entirety of the day.
From steaming dresses and decorating the venue, to the complete teardown of the venue and saving us desserts/appetizers we otherwise wouldn’t have been able to enjoy, the UAE team went above and beyond. I could not believe how calm I was the day of our wedding and that is 100% due to Nicole, Brittany, and Jenny’s efforts, friendliness, and organization!
Bottom line: you at the very least NEED a day-of-coordinator and you cannot do any better than Urban Allure Events.

DO NOT GET MARRIED WITHOUT UA EVENTS. You may think you can do it yourselves because yours is "simple," but there are just too many moving pieces, and you're supposed to relax and enjoy yourselves. Nicole was amazing from start to finish! At first, I was skeptical of needing a planner but my wife convinced me into it. Whatever makes her feel better for our wedding day I said. But I'm so glad that we hired Nicole as our day of planner. She was incredibly helpful and hands on, not just for the day of but the entire month leading up until our wedding day. She was a big reason our day was so incredible.. We couldn't recommend her more and if you're looking for a planner to make your day extra special, Nicole is the perfect planner! -

Like a best friend planning your wedding
There is no other planner I would look to than Nicole to help in the planning and coordinating of weddings. She is professional, efficient, and responsive, even for a bride who has a hard time making decisions and who needs to talk through everything. On the day of our wedding she went out of her way to pick up cookies from family across town for the reception and dropped off boxes that I had misplaced but desperately needed for getting ready. She was on top of it all and did it with a calm demeanor that immediately put me at ease. Could not recommend Nicole (lead coordinator and owner of Urban Allure Events) more! We hired her for month of coordinator services and she was amazing! She is extremely professional and never stressed about anything. She put me at ease and everything went off perfectly day of. Our wedding was at Room 1520 and she is super familiar with the space and knew all of my vendors, who all highly recommended and loved working with her. If you are looking for a wonderful wedding coordinator, look no further! -

Nicole with Urban Allure Events was incredible! From the first day we first spoke all the way through our wedding day, she made everything run so smoothly. We hired her for day-of coordination and she was so helpful beyond just the day of our wedding. We ran into issues with the weather and Nicole still made sure that our vision was executed. She also saved the day when our wedding cake did not arrive--we had a beautiful cutting cake and amazing sheet cakes with the ingredients that were listed on our menu for our guests. Nicole's calm demeanor kept me sane and she made sure our day was amazing! We cannot recommend her enough!-

We hired a wedding coordinator for two reasons 1) so we didn't have to "work" our wedding and 2) so there was someone ready to deal with any issues that could potentially arise on the big day. Nicole and her team delivered on both fronts. Not only was she great to work with leading up to the wedding...recommending vendors, helping my mother-in-law plan the rehearsal dinner, picking up our personal items etc - but she was an absolute life-saver the day of. There were NUMEROUS challenges that came up on our wedding day. It rained on-and-off the entire day, the photographer was a half hour late, the shuttle that was scheduled to pick up our guests was an HOUR late (stay far away Infinity Transportation!!), the floral coordinator we worked with to plan our event was sick and the person they sent clearly didn't get the notes on our decor scheme. Nicole and her team handled it all in stride to the point where we almost didn't even notice! Nicole was on the phone non-stop with the shuttle driver, dispatch, and hotels to work through the situation and she made sure every last one of our out-of-town guests had arrived before starting the ceremony so they didn't miss out. All this craziness was unknown to my husband and I until she had a clear plan and found the right time to tell us. Nicole & her assistant ran for umbrellas when the rain started up right before the ceremony, helped direct the floral coordinator to set up our dinner decor, and worked with all our other vendors to make sure they could accommodate when the timeline got pushed back. This girl is cool as a cucumber under pressure and I can't imagine how stressful it would have been had we hired someone else. We couldn't recommend Urban Allure Events more! -

Highly recommend. Your planner is with you every step of the way. They do as much (or as little) as you require. Response time is always lightning fast, and they keep an eye on those vendors so you don't have to. To say that Nicole and her team turned my wedding dreams into a reality would be an understatement. Nicole swooped in a little more than halfway through the wedding planning process to take all of the stress off of my shoulders. Most of the vendors were set and the vibe chosen, but Nicole came in like the conductor of a symphony and brought all of them together in perfect unison for the big day. We even had a backdrop crisis about 2 weeks before the wedding (the venue changed what we picked) and Nicole came to the rescue with the perfect vendor when my crazy idea for balloons and flowers popped into my head. She even made sure that vendor respected my budget. I can't recommend Nicole and her team enough! -

If you are planning your wedding, you need to hire Nicole at Urban Allure Events.
My fiancé and I were married in Chicago this past July 2018 and hired Nicole early in the process. Not only was she remarkably well-connected with the Chicago wedding scene (she ultimately recommended our venue, makeup artist, and photographer), but she took the time to get to know my fiancé and me, and understand our likes and dislikes.
In the month leading up to the wedding, Nicole was a godsend. She streamlined much of the communication between our various vendors and created a master schedule for the entire wedding weekend—encompassing everything from the rehearsal dinner to the day-after breakfast. And during the hectic week of the wedding, Nicole kept our schedules free. She worked in the background to ensure that we could just enjoy the week and spend time with our family and friends. Nicole not only filtered out the unnecessary minutia of the pre-wedding craziness (from coordinating vendor needs to handling the placement of the centerpieces, decorations, and signage) but anticipated details that we had never even considered (like vendor meals and parking). I witnessed Nicole handle a tremendous amount of the work, and I am convinced that is only the tip of the iceberg. So much of her work and organizational genius occurs without anyone noticing.
By the time of our wedding, she was the ringleader. She anticipated our needs before we had even realized they were required and was always ready with a drink or plate of food. While we were eating, she was getting ready for the speeches, and while we were dancing, she was already getting ready for the teardown. Most importantly, she tackled our event with grace, patience, and empathy.
Hire Nicole; you will not regret it. -

We hired Nicole from Urban Allure Events as our day-of wedding coordinator. She was absolutely amazing. Although we did a lot of the vendor research on our own, she was always a great resource for us when we needed suggestions. She is so much more than a day-of coordinator. She was really an integral part of our wedding planning, because she was a support system for us through the whole process. She was always available via e-mail or to meet for coffee and let me know if I was on the right track with my to-do lists. Nicole has the calmest, warmest, kindest personality. This helped me to keep my stress level down. I'm telling you, I wouldn't have been about to do that without her. She is one of the most organized people I have ever met, she has a great eye for detail and she is easygoing. Most of our vendors had worked with her before, and were so thrilled when they found out she would be there because they love working with her. Two days before the wedding she came by and swooped up all of our DIY decor, hotel gift bags, my dress, you name it. I thought those last couple days would be hectic and stressful, but she took all of that away and made sure we were relaxed and able to enjoy our time with friends and family. I could go on and on about her. Every family member and bridal party member loved her. She is amazing at what she does, and we feel lucky she was recommended to us by Room 1520. She helped to make our wedding the best day we could have imagined! -

My husband and I got married March 31, 2018 at Ovation in Chicago, and Nicole was beyond instrumental in making our day perfect and incredibly special.
We were so very glad that we decided to work with Nicole after a wonderful recommendation given to us by Tricia Clarke, who amazingly transformed my makeup/hair for the day. When I spoke with Nicole for the first time, I knew right away that she was kind, friendly, super knowledgeable, professional, crazy organized, and so down to earth and sweet. After that conversation, it was obvious that we should work with her for our day-of wedding coordination
And we're so glad that we did! Our wedding day was flawless and came together so well. We couldn't be more grateful to her for executing our wedding day vision perfectly! And to her husband, who was a magician in hanging our copper piping ceremony backdrop. :)
Also hugely important, Nicole eliminated any and all stressors for us and went above and beyond in ensuring we were happy with every single details about decor, logistics, etc. This meant that we could relax the week/day of our wedding and not have to worry about anything! That. Was. The. Best.

We cannot say enough good things about Nicole and Urban Allure Events! We hired Nicole to be our DOC for our September wedding after she was recommended by a friend of mine. From the moment we connected, it was clear that Nicole was very organized, experienced and someone who we could trust to make sure our big day went perfectly.
Even though we technically only hired Nicole for the day of our wedding, the support, recommendations and experience she shared in the weeks and months leading up to our wedding day were invaluable! Every time my husband and I were feeling overwhelmed by the number of details we needed to attend to, Nicole was there via text, phone or email to calm our worries and assure us that everything would get done.
The day of our wedding, Nicole made sure everything went smoothly despite the fact that I was running behind schedule and the air conditioning at our venue was not working at full capacity (on a 90 degree day)! The day was everything we could have hoped for and so much more, thanks to Nicole. We cannot recommend Urban Allure Events highly enough! They are worth every penny!

My husband and I got married February 24, 2018 in Chicago at Salvage One. I met with multiple planners after we got engaged and then on the recommendation of two friends who had just recently been married, I met with Nicole. In the first few minutes after meeting with her, I already knew she was the one! Throughout the wedding planning process, Nicole went above and beyond for us. I can not say enough wonderful things about her was a wedding planner and also as a person. She always followed up after our meetings and I never once questioned if she was going to get things done. I truly enjoyed the planning process and Nicole is the main reason that I am able to say that.
During the weeks leading up to the wedding, Nicole took on all the tasks that a bride should never have to think about or deal with. She was calm, cool and collected on the day of the wedding and without being pushy or intrusive, kept us on schedule and made sure we had everything we needed and that our day was perfect. I will never forget the end of the night when the wedding was over and my husband and I were dreading packing up and cleaning. We walked in to the bridal suite and Nicole had everything organized and then ordered us a car to take us back to the hotel. It was so thoughtful and meant so much to us to be able to get back to our suite and relax without having to worry about anything.
So needless to say, Nicole and Urban Allure were worth every penny and I would definitely recommend them!!!! -

We got married in Feb 2018 at Room1520 and used Nicole as our DOC. Cannot say enough great things, and if she charged twice as much she would be amazing value. Nicole is extremely familiar with Room1520, so she had a lot of great insights on room layout, table setup, vendors, etc. She has also worked a lot of weddings so just generally helped us along the way with various details on timeline and décor. Leading up to the wedding Nicole coordinated all of our vendors and helped organize all other key details of the wedding. Most importantly, on the actual day of the wedding, we did not worry about a thing. We drank, mingled and danced all night, and that freedom on your wedding day is priceless.
It snowed on the actual wedding day and Nicole stood outside with us to assist with awesome winter pictures. When the bride’s dress got muddy before the ceremony, Nicole herself colored the dirty areas with white chalk. She was the first one there and last one to leave on the wedding day. These are just a few examples of the many times Nicole went above and beyond while working with us. Looking back, we highly recommend that all couples consider using a DOC, and Nicole executed better than we ever could have expected!

I would highly recommend hiring Urban Allure Event. I worked with Nicole and it was a dream. She was willing to above and beyond what I asked her to do and made everything easy and fun! You can tell she's been in the wedding industry for a while because she has so many tips to make sure it's perfect. I loved that I could sit back and relax and know that everything was taken care of. Nicole was an absolute angel helping us plan our winter wedding. The moment we met with her we knew she was the perfect fit, very laid back and confident we could the wedding within our budget. We hired her for “partial planning” but felt like did even more than that and was there every step of the way. She was a lifesaver because we had no idea where to look for various vendors and helped us narrow down and negotiate prices (which I hate doing). Hiring Nicole as our “day of” coordinator was one of the best decisions we made for our big day. Even though we hired her for the “day of” she helped us a ton throughout the whole process. She did an up front phone consult, sent over vendor recommendations via email, attended our “detail meeting” with our venue, set up another meeting to talk through my vision for the day when I was having trouble picturing how everything would come together, and met us at the venue one more time to confirm plans for our day with everyone involved. Any time I had a question, she had a quick answer to melt the stress away. On the day of the wedding she ensured everything went flawlessly. She did a quick shoe shopping mission when my reception flip flops didn’t arrive from Amazon on time. She worked through an issue with the florist. She ensured everyone was in the right place at the right time. Most importantly she allowed me to focus on my bridesmaids, my family, and my husband on my big day instead of having to worry about every little detail. Initially I was on the fence about hiring a wedding coordinator, it seemed frivolous or unnecessary. Trust me, throughout your planning process, you will definitely get faced with decisions to spend money on things of varying importance - chair covers, a photo booth, center pieces, etc. None of these things are as beneficial as your peace of mind on your special day. Prioritize your sanity and hire Nicole - you’ll be so glad you did! -

We hired the wonderful Nicole for our wedding at Room 1520 last month to be our day of coordinator. She was super helpful throughout the planning of the wedding, quickly responding to email questions leading up to the event and working with our vendors in professional manner. We had some big challenges thrown our way a few days/weeks before the ceremony and I don't think we would have recovered fully if it wasn't for Nicole's help. Hands down,my experience with Urban Allure Events was the best money ever spent. My husband and I were so pleased with our experience. I can't say enough about the professionalism, attention to detail and timely responses we received. I imagined I would be a nervous wreck on the day of the wedding trying to get things done. However that was not my experience, at all. I felt completely confident in Nicole and her team. I only worried about being the bride for the day. I will also say, I ripped my veil about 10min before I was to walk down the aisle and with no hesitation, Nicole and Annie came with what seemed to be a wedding day tool box and patched it right up. As the moment got closer to walking down the aisle, i began to get extremely emotional and Nicole helped me calm down, got me some tissue and made sure my dress and veil were perfect for the photographer. She took a bunch of things off my plate weeks out from the wedding, suggesting ways she could pitch in, offering great ideas and solutions (that were often more affordable than what I was thinking I needed to get!), and answering my mannnnnny questions (she has a clear, confident answer for all, which I loved!). This gal's feathers do NOT get ruffled - she takes everything in stride and with a calming presence that me, my husband and our families appreciated. We also loved that she knew the space well and had already worked with many of our vendors. Simply put, she made everything easier :) Thank you, Nicole! -

I recently told my wife that I wanted to write the review for Urban Allure for a very specific reason. Of the stifling number of decisions and costs associated with our wedding, the hiring of a day-of planner was the only proposed expense against which I truly dug in my heels. I viewed this service as the embodiment of predatory wedding scams aimed at vulnerable couples with open wallets. I could not have been more wrong. To my utter surprise, hiring Nicole was the single best decision we made in the lead-up to our wedding (aside from agreeing to marry each other, of course). "Day of" does not give Nicole justice for the tireless work she put into making our wedding weekend as easy as possible to allow us to focus only on enjoying the experience. Following our initial meeting, Nicole took immediate action coordinating with our vendors and formulating a detailed plan for every aspect of the weekend. This enthusiasm and hard work continued throughout the remainder of the planning process, for 18+ hours on our wedding day, and into the day after when she and her partner Jeff personally delivered our gifts and everything else we left at the venue. My only negative feedback is that Nicole did not charge enough for what she did - a bargain at twice the price. We could not recommend Urban Allure any more emphatically. -

They were fantastic throughout the entirety of the wedding planning process and also on the day of the wedding. Their responsiveness was always extremely fast, they were very attentive to the details that we discussed in our conversations and messages, and they were great at keeping up communication with all of the vendors that we used. Just to give a glimpse of how great they were I'll explain one situation (of many that occurred during the end stages that they helped us sort out) that we ran in to toward the end of our wedding planning process.
Our wedding venue was unexpectedly shut down for tax issues three weeks before the wedding, specifically on the day that we were planning on doing our final walk through at the venue with some of our family members. While my then fiancee and I were freaking out because we couldn't get in contact with anyone at our venue, they were already setting up plans for a back-up wedding and also making calls around to any contacts they could find who might be able to figure out what was happening with our venue. Within a matter of a few days from that closure they were able to set-up all of the details for an entirely new, second wedding that fit within our price range. While we were tired and frustrated with the issues from our initial venue being closed and unresponsive, they were on top of their game and set-up everything for the back-up wedding based on the ideas we gave them for what style and feel we would like for the wedding. They were constantly in contact with us during this time, sending us quotes, bouncing ideas off of us, contacting vendors, and setting everything up so we could pull the trigger for the back-up wedding once we hit the point of no return on our initial venue. The venue did eventually re-open and we decided to go with our original plans, but I am confident that the back-up wedding would have been fantastic based on the work that I've seen from Urban Allure Events! -

Urban Allure Events went above and beyond to make our wedding day memorable! We even had a crisis with our venue and the Indiana Department of Revenue and they were on top of it making sure we had a back up if needed. If it weren't for Nicole at Urban Allure, we would not have had a wedding! I am truly blessed to have used their services and would recommend them to every bride that I know! -

I had the pleasure of working with Nicole for a wedding that was recently held at the Omni Chicago Hotel. Nicole was extremely responsive and easy to work with. Her husband helps her with décor and anything else she needs, and he was equally professional and easy to work with. Nicole was really great to work with for our wedding in May 2017. The ceremony and reception were both held at Room 1520 and Nicole made the day so easy. She coordinated all vendors, set up our ceremony and cocktail hour to PERFECTION!!!! She even got my grandparents an uber at the end of the night! We were married in Ireland this past fall, and we had a post-wedding celebration in Chicago. We met Nicole purely by chance when we visited Room 1520 on our quest for the perfect venue for our post-wedding celebration. We had a wonderful conversation and she invited me to reach out to her with any questions as we made our venue choice. She talked me through our venue decision and gave us some helpful tips even before we hired her, and by then, I was hooked. I wasn't thrilled with the idea of DIY, but did not think a planner was within our budget. Turns out, I was wrong, and Nicole was worth every penny and more.
Having a stress-free celebration was very important to us, and without Nicole, this would not have been possible. She guided us to quality vendors throughout the planning process, and we ended up with the best of the best without having to research the thousands of caterers, florists, and DJs, available in Chicago.
Nicole is such a calming presence, and eased my anxiety many times throughout the planning process. The best example of this would be our invitation crisis. We ordered from an online source and had an absolutely terrible experience. The vendor did not take steps to correct the problem in time for us to get our invites mailed. Nicole quickly stepped in and provided us with an alternative that allowed us to get our invites out on time. Her actions were truly above and beyond.
Most importantly, our celebration...wow...just wow. It was beyond perfect. The venue looked gorgeous, the evening flowed perfectly, we did not want it to end! It was better than my vision, and I know this would not have been possible without Nicole. She is an ideal event planner, and we highly recommend her!

How can I put into words how incredible Nicole was?
Let me put it this way - Without Nicole and her team, there is absolutely no way our wedding would've come close to the absolute blowout that it was.
We had around 175 people attend our wedding, and Nicole made sure every single aspect of the event was perfectly executed and on-schedule, without ever being (visibly) stressed. Not even once. All in attendance marveled at all the little tiny details that made the day so special.
From putting out decorations, coordinating perfectly with our caterer, our photographer, our DJ, our bartenders, and my wife and I alike, Nicole acted as our counselor, our firefighter, our crutch and our mediator. There was no question too big or too small, no idea too crazy, and absolutely no friction when that special day finally came and went - My only wish is that the wedding could've lasted forever. This was the greatest day of my life, and Nicole had the responsibility of making sure I left the venue feeling that way. She totally nailed it.
The best part? She OWNED it - For the entire day, neither me nor my wife were faced with any decisions. We were not burdened with one extra shred of stress if she could help it. She made the day about US.
In terms of value, paying Nicole's fee is an absolute no-brainer as far as services go. It was like buying a Ferrari for the price of an Amtrak ticket.
If you don't hire Nicole, that's your loss. -

Heading up the event, she was available as needed to provide guidance on vendor and event design choices, and really helped me feel like I was both supported and staying on track. She was also a super help the days before, during, and after the wedding, making sure that everything was taken care of seamlessly, and really lifting the load off of me and my family so we could focus on the celebrations! These Urban Allure ladies are super cool and seriously know what they're doing. I certainly didn't know how to plan a wedding, so I'm so glad we had them!
We hired Urban Allure for day of coordination for our wedding at Morton Arboretum. Anney was our point person and had advice and ideas for us at every step of the way. At our first meeting with Anney and Nicole a few months before the wedding, they presented us with a day of timeline based on all of the info they'd consolidated and asked questions to highlight anything we may not have considered yet. We walked out of that meeting knowing that we were in good hands.
In the weeks leading up to the wedding (as things really got crazy), Anney was super responsive to my many frantic emails, always ready to help and offer solutions to ensure that things could work out the way we wanted. (She wasn't even phased when we added a bagpiper into our plan only a few weeks before the wedding!) She and Nicole coordinated a walk through with our venue to nail down all of the final details and were amazing at capturing all of the details even if I forgot to bring them up.
The day before the wedding, Anney helped run our rehearsal and make sure all of the final details were in place. On the day of the wedding, she and Nicole amazingly seemed to be everywhere at once - making sure our families and wedding party knew where to be and when, coordinating our musicians/bagpiper/videographers/photographers/officiant/DJ/florist/etc., and ensuring that the reception was set up the exact way we wanted it. Everything went WAY more smoothly than we could have imagined, and we even had guests comment about how well our coordinators had everything under control.
I can't recommend these ladies enough. I still can't believe how well everything worked out with our wedding (isn't SOMETHING supposed to go wrong??) and I attribute a huge amount of that to Urban Allure. Thanks again!! -

Nicole was a such a lifesaver!! We initially did not want to hire a day of coordinator, but oh my gosh are we glad we hired her! She made the planning process and our wedding day run so smoothly so we could enjoy every minute of the wedding. Leading up to the wedding she helped us with coordinating our decor deliveries and handled all of our vendor contracts.
She was the organized breath of fresh air we needed on our wedding day. She took care of everything and made sure that my husband and I were taken care of and happy! Our wedding day would not have been possible without her. I cannot recommend working with her enough. -

I got married on 8/6/16 at Room1520. A beautiful venue made for an unbelievable wedding, and partnering with Nicole gave me and my breathtakingly beautiful wife the peace of mind that everything would be taken care of. We partnered with Nicole early on, and cannot say enough how awesome she was. She understood what we were going for, had answers to every single question that came up (no matter how ridiculous mine were...) and most importantly was our point person the weekend of the wedding, allowing my wife to focus on family drama, not wedding drama (kidding, but seriously... Why so much family drama around weddings?!?). Nicole accepted deliveries on our behalf, oversaw all vendors the day of, coordinated our rehearsal, made us laugh uncontrollably multiple times, and looked out for me and my wife the night of the wedding to make sure we ate and had enough booze in our systems. She brought us our own tray of apps and drinks during cocktail hour!!
Nicole is awesome, knowledgeable, fun, and can lay the hammer (without you even knowing) when vendors try to deviate from the plan. I don't anticipate getting married again, so unfortunately the chances of working with Nicole are pretty slim, BUT would tell every single person I meet to bring her on board if they want a wedding executed to pure perfection.

I got married this past weekend and could not have had a "perfect" wedding without Nicole. The guests gave great feedback from the arrangement of the centerpieces to the decor setup to the overall ceremony and reception. Nicole was very attentive to my needs, especially on the big day, getting me water and cake, dealing with guests so that my husband and I could enjoy the moment, and calming my nerves. Prior to the wedding, she was also a big help in communicating with our vendors, mapping out our seating chart, drafting a detailed and complete reception timeline, and delivering welcome bags to our out-of-town guests. It's a plus that she is familiar with and works closely with Room 1520.
In all honesty, there is NO way we could've made this wedding what it was without her help. We had initially intended on going without a day-of-coordinator, but we're so glad we did not. We highly recommend hiring Nicole for your big day! -

My wife and I got married in April at Room 1520 with Nicole as our day-of coordinator. Don't let the title fool you. She did SO much for us in the months leading up to the wedding, as well as the day of. We were the type to think we could take care of everything and it would all fall into place. We were very wrong and it wasn't until we hired Nicole that we realized how badly we needed her! She liaised with all the vendors, helped us with our timeline, helped set up and make our simple ideas look great, and pretty much took all of the stress out of planning.
A little bonus: A bridesmaid spilled a dark drink on my dress literally 3 hours before the ceremony was supposed to start. We texted Nicole, who had us return to the venue, took a case of club soda, and along with our bridesmaids, fixed the dress. There was no visible reminder of this, however it would have been disastrous without her help.

The biggest benefit to using Nicole as the day of wedding planner is that her office was at our venue (Room 1520). So she was able to get us into the venue at various times and discuss logistics more thoroughly. The rest of her services were sub-par. Often, emails took days to receive a response or I had to send her another email asking for an answer. She did not speak up on our behalf to a vendor that was treating us unfairly. The day before, there was miscommunication with her and my fiance so when he showed up no one was there to let him into the venue. When I asked her about this, she was not very apologetic and make it seem like it was completely our fault. The day of, she did make me feel comforted that she had things under control, she was able to cover dirty spots on my dress, she checked on us often, and, I think, made sure the wedding starting as close to on time as possible. Once the wedding was complete, there were various times when, I believe, she could have been more assertive in getting guests to move from spaces they shouldn't be in or direct people to where they should go. The biggest issue we had that night was that many people, including us (the bride and groom!) did not even see hors d'oeuvres being passed around but somehow we had a ton of food left over. Afterwards, we found out that this was because Nicole told our caterers to not pass food whenever we were doing anything like our dances, bouquet toss, or garter toss. This would make sense for other weddings that had a designated time to sit and eat food. Ours was mostly passed small bites throughout the reception and with all the dances and etc. there was less than an hour of time for food to be passed. This is something she should have realized since she had our timeline of events. Overall, she was a nice person to work with and did help in many aspects but I do not think she was worth the money and did not provide any more expertise than a well organized friend. -
