Monique was such an important piece to our big day, it’s hard to put all of the crucial things she did for us into one review. She is a wedding planner that just had the X-factor, she does it all!
From day one of working with her, we could tell she wanted the best for us and wanted to make our lives easier by keeping wedding planning fun. One of the greatest things about having Monique was her responsiveness and ability to answer ANY questions we had. There are so many questions that pop up and before we worked with Monique we didn’t know where to go to get them answered, but after working with her it was such a relief to know she would help answer all of them.
On our wedding day, she truly made our wedding dream come to life. We still don’t really know how she did it all, especially with our wedding or 250 people. We even added in an extra photo shoot to the timeline and some fun little things, and she helped the day flow so smoothly. All we had to do was get married and enjoy our company! It was so much fun, and a large reason we felt that way was because Monique was there to take care of all the stressors behind the scenes. (She even steamed my dress the morning of!!)
If you didn’t know, she also does content creation packages and I think it is one of my favorite things that we decided to do for our wedding. She captured so many special moments and we got to relive our day right away! She sent over all the video and pictures and we are still rewatching and going through all the content she captured to this day.Unique by Monique Weddings's reply:

There are really no words to say how absolutely LIFESAVING it was to have Monique coordinate our wedding!!! From the start of the process with filling out our questionnaire to packing up the end of the night, she is THE most detail-oriented, efficient, get things done professional. She is so warm, welcoming, and open to getting to know your vision and making it happen. We had quite a large bridal party with multiple events, and her wedding master document made it so much easier to keep everything and everyone organized and make sure nothing was missed. People always say to expect something to go wrong on your wedding day, it's not going to be perfect, but honestly nothing was missed and it was everything we could have hoped for. All of our decor and details were in place, everything was accounted for at the end of the night, and so many people in our party commented what a perfect combination she was of "professional and firm but friendly and not overbearing at all." I don’t even know where to start with how amazing Monique was as our wedding coordinator. From the very beginning, she was so kind, detail-oriented, calming, and effortlessly cool — the kind of person who instantly makes you feel like everything is under control. Throughout the planning process, she kept me on track without ever stressing me out, and on the wedding day, she truly went above and beyond.
She managed to keep our timeline perfectly on schedule without rushing us, handled every little hiccup with grace (including sewing a bridesmaid’s strap back together in minutes), and somehow anticipated every need before I even knew it existed. It was a hot August day, and she constantly had water bottles in hand for the entire wedding party to make sure we stayed hydrated — something so thoughtful that really showed how much she cares about her couples!
She answered every question from guests and vendors, took care of packing up gifts, cards, and décor before she left, and made sure I never had to worry about a thing. I got to be fully present, soaking in every single moment of our day, because I knew Monique had absolutely everything handled.
She went far beyond the role of a coordinator. She was like a big sister watching out for us, making sure we had everything we needed, and keeping the day running seamlessly. I can’t stress enough how thankful I am for her easy-going yet completely on-top-of-it personality. Monique was hands down one of the best investments we made for our wedding day. From day one, she was incredibly responsive, supportive, and fully aligned with our vision. She helped us troubleshoot with vendors, kept us organized, and made sure every detail was thought through long before the big day arrived.
Our one-on-one meeting with her brought us so much peace of mind — every loose end was tied up and we felt completely prepared. She ran our rehearsal beautifully, and everyone walked away confident and comfortable with the ceremony.
On the wedding day itself, we didn’t have to think or stress about a single thing. We knew Monique had everything under control, and she absolutely did. The decor was placed exactly as we envisioned, communication with vendors was seamless, and she kept the entire day running perfectly on time — without us ever feeling rushed. Because of her, we were able to be fully present and soak up every moment.

I could write a book explaining why Monique was essential to our wedding day! We had our wedding ceremony and reception at two different locations and did not have access to our reception venue until 2pm the day of our wedding. I originally was unsure about a day of coordinator but after talking with Monique, it was clear she was my girl!
Leading up the wedding, she came to vendor check ins, checked in with me, and was always a call or text away if I was feeling anxious. She asked questions I would never even think of asking vendors because she is so experienced in this industry. Once we got closer to our wedding day, Monique made sure all of our vendors were on the same page with the timeline we created together.
I honestly thought I was going to be very nervous the day of our wedding. But the minute I saw Monique at our ceremony venue I felt at ease. It was honestly the least stressful day of my whole wedding experience and it helped my husband enjoy completely enjoy our day without worrying about anything. From ceremony to cocktail hour, everything fell into place and the rest of the night flew by because of how much fun we had. Everyone always says there will be something that goes wrong at your wedding, but ours was literally perfect! If I could recommend Monique a million times I would! She is very professional, thoughtful, patient, and has everything you need in case of an emergency… even a tool kit for your neon sign!

Monique is truly incredible. We got married at Turner Hall in Milwaukee on 5/31/25 but live in Chicago, so planning a “destination” wedding felt overwhelming.. until Monique stepped in. From the start, she understood our vision, kept us on track, and brought a level of calm, organization, and creativity we didn’t even know we needed.
She’s thoughtful, honest, detail-oriented, insanely well-connected, and genuinely fun to work with. She helped us find and coordinate vendors, used her connections to secure our dream DJ, and handled every last detail so we could be fully present and stress free on the big day. Her energy, laugh, and lighthearted attitude are contagious. Even our guests adored her and still talk about her months later.
Our wedding was seamless, magical, and everything we hoped for because of her. We highly recommend booking her content creator package, too! The videos she sent us the next day were perfect and brought us right back to the day.

We had the pleasure of working with Monique as our day-of coordinator, and she was absolutely incredible. Everyone told us that something always goes wrong on the wedding day, but I can honestly say our day was seamless—and we fully credit Monique for that.
Our wedding involved multiple locations (ceremony, dinner, and reception), and Monique was one step ahead at each one. She brought the organization and attention to detail that my fiancé(e) and I, both being more laid-back, truly needed. She anticipated needs before they came up, like having small fans and ice water ready on a hot day and quietly working with venues to adjust the temperature—things I didn’t even realize were happening behind the scenes.
She also went above and beyond in ways we didn’t expect—like creating short videos throughout the day that we absolutely love and repurposing decorations creatively across each site. Monique was present whenever we needed her, yet gave us the space to enjoy our day without interruption.

If you’re reading this and debating to hire Monique, here’s your answer. HIRE HER! We quickly realized that a day of coordinator was a necessity for our wedding, and we immediately realized that Monique was the perfect person for the job.
Right from the initial consult, Monique put us at ease that our day was in good hands with her as our coordinator. She was available for communication when needed for the months prior, and met with us multiple times to ensure we were all on the same page for the wedding. Additionally, she even came to our rehearsal to make sure all went smoothly and all of our wedding party knew what to expect the day of.
We had a decent amount of DIY decor for both the ceremony and reception, which was all executed perfectly by the guidance and hard work of Monique alongside other vendors. This included a full room flip in a small amount of time! Additionally, Monique got all of our decor from us during our rehearsal, and took it home with her the night of the wedding so she could bring it to us the next day (which was a huge help!).
Ultimately, Monique was most valuable in the way she worked so hard to not only give us the perfect day, but also to make it completely stress free for us. We were able to truly enjoy all the special moments of our wedding day, and I know this would not have been the case if her didn’t have Monique. We had the BEST experience with Monique. We decided to hire her as our day-of coordinator about 2 months prior to our wedding because the stress of decorating the venue and keeping a timeline for the day was just too much for me. Monique SAVED US and helped create the best day of our lives! Her knowledge of the industry was so helpful with figuring out the small, last minute details when we met up about 6 weeks before the wedding. Her communication was great and she knew exactly what to do when we reached a bump in the road when it came to our rehearsal. She managed running our rehearsal and her ability to (patiently) corral our bridal party in order to remain on task was very impressive. Our wedding day ran so smoothly and my husband and I were able to fully enjoy the day and it is all thanks to Monique! I can’t imagine my wedding day without Monique running the show! She is so incredibly easy to work with, listened to our vision and executed it perfectly. To say we were blown away by Unique by Monique Weddings is an understatement! If we could give her 100 stars we would!! From the very beginning, Monique went above and beyond to ensure that our wedding day was everything we dreamed of and more. Her attention to detail, professionalism, and genuine care for our vision truly made our wedding day the best day of our lives!
Walking into the venue (The Gage) and seeing our vision come together was nothing short of magical. She coordinated and communicated with our dream team of vendors, set up signage and decor beautifully, and ensured that we could focus on getting ready and truly being present with our family and friends.
Monique went above and beyond the week before our wedding as well. Nick was sick, and we had a lot of last-minute tasks left to complete. Monique picked up and folded all of our table and welcome signage, making sure everything was ready without even mentioning it! Her calm and organized approach made us feel completely at ease, even during the very few stressful moments. If anything little did go wrong that day, we were not aware of it; she handled everything flawlessly!
Not only was she efficient and on top of every detail, but she also brought a warm, personal touch to the entire process. We were pretty nervous about the prospect of wedding planning, and Monique consistently assured us that we were on track or ahead of schedule, checking in with us several times before the wedding.
Monique has an amazing ability to bring a calm, considerate, and uplifting presence wherever she is. It was clear that she genuinely cared about making our day special, and we felt that throughout the entire process. She was also fantastic at coordinating our large families for pictures after the ceremony, ensuring that we could all stay on track and enjoy some of our cocktail hour!
Thanks to Monique, we were able to relax and fully enjoy every moment of our wedding day, knowing everything was in perfect hands. Best Planner!
Monique is incredibly detailed and ensures you have a stress free wedding day. When she was our venue coordinator we really appreciated how she went the extra mile. Even with the instructions we left for some of our decor, she made great decisions for placement on our behalf, and communicated with all our vendors, ensuring our wedding went exactly how we planned for. Monique is keen on detail planning and is very organized when it comes to execution.
