Beautiful Setting, Incredible Staff, Epic Environment

Darlene and Annie and the entire UB team were exceptional from start to finish. From our first visit to the Meeting House to check out the ceremony and reception space through the end of our reception and beyond, we can’t say enough about how organized, thoughtful, and thorough the team is, and how special they helped make our most important day. Working with Annie as our coordinator provided a seamless experience planning our wedding day. She kept us organized, communicated quickly and with timely and relevant information, and was doing a little bit of everything on wedding day to ensure everything was perfect. She answered questions very quickly leading up to our wedding day and was very helpful and thoughtful while guiding us through the planning process. Darlene took over the planning of our Rehearsal Dinner at the UB Grill and was extremely helpful in getting us on track, answering all of our questions, and ensuring that us and our guests had a great night.
The picturesque setting and the ability to arrive and spend the whole weekend in York is what drew us to the Union Bluff, but they delivered beyond measure. The entire staff was wonderful, helpful, and extremely kind to us and our guests. The food was exquisite, everything we ate all weekend was delicious. When choosing where to throw the biggest day of your life, the Union Bluff team is all in to make it easy and enjoyable for you and your guests, and we can’t recommend them enough.

You won't regret it!

BOOK YOUR WEDDING HERE - YOU WONT REGRET IT! The planning, the food, the drinks, the scenery.... and not obscenely overpriced like others on the water. Kelsey and her colleagues are nothing short of amazing at what they do, and with this venue, you have a truly magical combination. I'm not the girl that's been planning her wedding since she was four, and the engagement was a surprise - so it goes without saying we needed a lot of help. The support from Kelsey made all the difference in the world.- she's a model of professionalism, poise and experience, and we would be lost without her. We had just the most magical day ever, and that wouldn't have been possible if she and the team were less than perfect. I truly don't know how they do it.

10/10 Experience at Union Bluff!

My husband and I fell in love with the Union Bluff several years ago when we went to a close friends wedding. We loved it so much that we decided to get married there this summer and wouldn't have changed a thing! The venue itself is absolutely beautiful, you can't beat the view. Our wedding planner, Darlene, was beyond helpful and organized. She thought of every last detail and our wedding went off without a hitch. I would recommend this venue to ANYONE - but especially to folks who have guests coming from out of town. Everything is so convenient for family and friends visiting the area. We got married on a Friday, and most of our guests stayed the whole weekend at the Hotel - so it felt like our wedding lasted 3 days! We had such a beautiful wedding here thanks to Darlene and her team at the Union Bluff.

Wonderful Venue

Fantastic wedding! Not a thing I would change.

As soon as we met Darlene when we went to visit the Union Bluff, we knew she was who we wanted to work with! Darlene, plus the incredible beachfront ceremony location, sold us on the venue. Darlene was available the entire process to answer any question promptly and fully. The day turned out to be absolutely perfect and everything we could’ve hoped for! Everyone raved about how delicious the food was - we had stations (everyone loved the pasta bar and the prime rib!). Darlene and her crew made sure everything in the ballroom was exactly how we envisioned it and it was beautiful. After hearing friends/family say they hadn’t eaten at their own weddings, I was nervous about getting food. I mentioned this to Darlene and she and the staff checked in on us through the whole event to make sure we had plenty to do eat and got to sample everything. I would not hesitate to recommend the union bluff for a wedding. There isn’t a thing I would change about our day and choosing the Union Bluff was the best move we made in wedding planning.

Amazing staff and experience!!

Had the most perfect wedding day at Union Bluff! Most of our guests were from out of town and everything was really convenient. Amy was our coordinator and did an absolutely amazing job!! She went above and beyond, even helped blow dry my dress after it rained! She was calm, and kept everything on schedule. She made the suggestion for our rehearsal dinner. She truly made wedding planning such a breeze and we were so fortunate to work with her. Everything was decorated perfectly. We had to move our ceremony inside due to a storm and the transition was seamless. Staff during the reception was super friendly, they set aside food for us and made sure we were eating. Overall highly recommend Union bluff!

Wonderful service!

The Union Bluff Meeting House was a perfect venue for us. They were incredibly flexible with us as we had to change our wedding date three times, and everything was perfect on the day of. The food was delicious, and our coordinator was happy to answer any questions that came up during the process, and was with us on the wedding day. We had our wedding off season in November and had the area pretty much to ourselves.

Most Amazing Venue & Staff

My husband and I got married at the Union Bluff Meeting House on 10/23/2021 and it was absolutely the best day of our lives! Amy is amazing, we toured 4 venues total and she was a huge factor in our decision. The whole planning process was seamless and fun, from the tasting to our check ins we always felt we were in the best hands. Everyone warned me to prepare for little things to go wrong on our wedding day and literally nothing went wrong. We had both our ceremony and reception at the Union Bluff and EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT. Amy and the staff at the Union Bluff are incredible and know how to execute a wedding! Even in the year 2021 when the wedding season is busier than it's ever been! Our guests raved about the food, atmosphere and the location! We had crazy little requests like our "beer boy" instead of flower girl and Amy was there to make it happen! I could go on forever, but I cannot thank Amy enough and the Union Bluff for our dream wedding. It was truly more than we ever imagined!

Exceptional Wedding Event Coordinator and Staff

Being a 2020 Bride who had to reschedule her wedding to 2021 due to COVID, I couldn't have asked for a better experience than I had with the wedding event staff at the Union Bluff Hotel especially Darlene Yankura. They were professional and helpful, but most importantly they cared. When we had to make the difficult decision to postpone the wedding a year, Darlene took the time to talk with us and talk through all our options. She was understanding and compassionate. When it came time for our actual wedding day I couldn't have been happier with how it all turned it out. Darlene and her staff thought of every last detail so that I could simply enjoy my wedding day and for that I am forever grateful to them!

Seamless experience

One of my best decisions my husband and I made in it wedding process was picking the Union Bluff for our wedding! Darlene and her group were amazing. They were very responsive and very helpful through the whole process. They literally think of everything you can imagine. The day of our wedding was amazing. My husband and I had both had a server who made sure we had the food we wanted for cocktail hour and always had a drink throughout the night and were well fed. Our guests couldn't get over how great the food was and how beautiful the venue was. Food at weddings can be hit or miss, but our guests are still raving about the food! The bar tenders were also great and efficient. I honestly can't say enough great things about them!

Amazing! Can't recommend them enough

Everyone says wedding planning is super stressful, like a second job. It was for us...until we found the Union Bluff Meeting House and chose it as our venue and we found Darlene, our wedding coordinator. Where many other venues and coordinators came from a place of "no" Darlene and her team came from a place of "yes, we'll take care of that". Darlene's advice not only on things related to Union Bluff was incredibly valuable but also her recommendations of other vendors we used were outstanding. We were happy with all of our vendors and the wedding was everything we had hoped for and more. Everyone also told us that something is bound to go wrong on your wedding day, but Darlene made sure that did not happen for us.

If you are looking to have a stress free day this is the team for you--I dropped off all of our reception decor and other items earlier in the week and Darlene and the staff at UB took care of everything. The following day everything was packed up neatly for us. We really didn't have to worry about a thing. Darlene even busted and unbustled my dress (twice!) when my sisters were intimidated by this task.

The food and service was amazing, all of our guests raved about the staff. For example, one of our guests forgot to let us know about an allergy and her meal was quickly swapped out for what she needed and the team was happy to do so.
We had many out of town guests and they appreciate the proximity of the hotel, reception venue, and ceremony to each other and the town of York, many of our families made a week or weekend out of the wedding and the location is very convenient and beautiful, right on Short Sands beach. We lucked out with the weather for our 9/21 wedding but this would be a great venue even on a rainy day. The bridal suite was great and was large enough to be comfortable for my 14! girls to get ready and have a team of hair and makeup stylists come in. It is also beautiful for photographs.
We also utilized the hotel bar and grill for our afterparty where the staff was more than accommodating and everyone had a great time. Most vendors we worked with were very comfortable with this venue and staff at UB and this working relationship was helpful and we didn't have to worry about coordinating everything. We really can't say enough positive things about Darlene, the team at UB and the venue. We have absolutely no complaints. We would make this decision ten times out of ten. You should book Union Bluff for your wedding...You won't regret it!

The best venue ever

If you are looking to have the most perfect venue, then you MUST book at the Union Bluff. To start out with, Amy Sallese was the most AMAZING wedding coordinator we could ever ask for. We had a longer engagement, so I was constantly emailing her with questions and advice. She always got back to me so quickly, and was the most helpful person throughout the crazy planning. She made all of my annoying questions seem like no big deal at all. On the actual day, there were so many different things going on, and Amy made sure that nothing ruined the day. She checked in with me, my husband, the bridesmaids, and groomsmen and got whatever we needed when getting ready. After the ceremony and pictures, she had food waiting for my husband and I, and of course, champagne. The food was absolutely amazing, the reception was perfect, and our guests have NOT stopped talking about how amazing Union Bluff is. The staff went above and beyond for our perfect day during the ceremony, reception, and of course the after party! I wish I could redo the whole day over again because of how perfect it was. This place is just stunning, but the staff members make it even better. You are crazy if you don't get married here!

Speechless!

There are no words to express how incredible the Union Bluff Meeting House was for our wedding! Amy was our coordinator and she was amazing. Throughout the whole planning process she was so responsive and helpful, and always made time to meet with us when we were in town. On the wedding day, she came to the bridal suite numerous times to check on me and to show me pictures of everything being set up downstairs. This was super helpful! I honestly didn't feel like I needed to worry about anything because she was so on top of it. Even the staff throughout the night were so attentive, and made sure my husband and I had a drink in our hand and food to eat. We were gently reminded when we were supposed to be somewhere or do something, and it never felt like we were being dragged around. The after party at the Union Grill was also great, and the food was delicious! I could go on and on about how great this venue is, and I highly recommend it for anyone's wedding!

Beautiful, fun, and not crazy expensive!

Union Bluff was the PERFECT venue! My guests have been RAVING about it and the wedding for the past month. The view is gorgeous. We had great weather and did an outdoor lawn ceremony. The food and drinks were great. The bar was never crowded and I had 200 guests. We did food stations rather than a sit down dinner, and they were flexible in accommodating that. Amy, Darlene, and the whole staff at the Meeting House and hotel are professional and easy to work with. Amy was great about answering all my million emails!

dream wedding

The Union Bluff Meeting House was everything I dreamed my wedding to be and more. Darlene was my coordinator and was SO organized which I loved as I am a type “A” personality. She made every detail exactly what my vision was! We had the ceremony outside which was perfect. The weather was perfect. The entire day ran so smoothly and when people asked what went wrong I couldn’t think of a thing. Darlene is the best of the best! I look forward to continuing to vacation at the Union Bluff and highly recommend their venue for any function.

Best venue out there

If you are looking for a gorgeous beach or ocean venue or trying to go for a nautical theme there is no venue more perfect! Honestly there are too many good things to say about this venue that I can't even write them. My wedding day was truly exactly what I wanted and perfect thanks to this beautiful venue and their wedding planner Darlene! Seriously Darlene takes care of everything! I can be a bit of a control freak and went to the reception to put decor where I wanted it, but I didn't have to touch a single thing. Darlene had already gone above and beyond and made the room perfect! Any wedding disaster or if anything goes wrong Darlene is on it and fixes it before you can even freak out...Every bride needs that on her wedding day! My guests are raving over how beautiful the venue was inside and out and how great the food was! Sometimes wedding food isn't the best because it's cooked in bulk, but let me tell you our food was perfectly cooked! Guests said the filet minion was best they ever had, harvest stuffed chicken was nice and moist, and the butternut squash raviolis (vegetarian) were tasty! I could go on and on about this place. So if you want the best and most beautiful venue for wedding look no further than the Union Bluff!

Fantastic experience

We couldn’t have chosen a better spot. The hotel and the view are beautiful. We had our ceremony and reception in the meeting house and it was perfect - plenty of space while also feeling very intimate. A special thank you goes out to Amy who helped answer every question along the way and was genuinely invested in making sure we had the best day ever! Two thumbs up, 5/5, A++, and nothing but the best to the Union Bluff Hotel and their phenomenal staff.

Amazing weekend had by all!

Union Bluff was absolutely amazing in helping us plan and execute our dream wedding. From our first meeting with Amy, she was so professional and answered all the questions we had, honestly. I never felt like we were being pushed upsell items & they truly helped us navigate how to plan a wedding. Amy is always available through email, quickly responding to even the silliest questions I had. They were upfront about their costs & were very affordable - we did get married in the off season which helped this part. The wedding weekend was unreal. The attentiveness of Amy and her staff was something I had never seen before. Whatever we needed, we had it immediately keeping everyone’s nerves at ease. Amy made sure the flow of the night went smoothly for us and our guests. Always checking in on us & making sure we were doing okay throughout the night. The meetinghouse is a gorgeous venue & having the rooms above the ballroom was awesome. We had our own building & were able to hang with friends and family without worrying about disturbing the rest of the hotel. All of our guests raved about how beautiful the venue was and what a great stay they had in the hotel. When I say Amy & Union Bluff are top notch, that’s even an understatement. We could not have asked for a better wedding weekend & we owe so much to Amy for that!! 5+ stars!!

Outstanding Service

The Union Bluff is an outstanding location for a wedding, but location is only part of what happens that day or weekend, It's the staff involved in treating the guests from check-in to check -out and they were outstanding. Our wedding coordinator Amy was such an asset to the bride and groom from day one, She has the ability to handle all situation and "oh" keep the parents under control.

Union Bluff Meeting House

From the second we walked in to the front doors of the Meeting House we knew this would be the best place for our wedding. Our first meeting with Darlene she made us instantly feel like family. As it should be whether you are two men, two woman, a man and a women she treated us as a couple in love wanting to have the perfect wedding. Once we chose the Meeting House as our venue Darlene listened to every little detail of what we wanted. The execution on our special day was flawless (even with last minute changes). Every recommendation she made, the DJ, photographer, florist were the right choices for us. Having your ceremony on the lawn with the beautiful ocean backdrop made for stunning pictures. Most of our guests stayed at the Union Bluff Hotel which was so convenient for out of state travelers. My wife and I would recommend anyone looking for the best wedding experience to contact Darlene and her Team for your special day.

The Union Bluff was a dream venue for us! It had everything we wanted from a beach front venue without the enormous price tag that a lot of other vendors had. Genna was an amazing coordinator and helped us with everything about the wedding and always responded to us very promptly. My friends and family couldn't say enough great things about how beautiful everything was on our wedding day!

The Union Bluff Meeting House is an amazing venue! I got married there on July 15th, and it was such a wonderful day - all thanks to the amazing staff! Amy Sallese was my coordinator, and she went above and beyond to make sure my big day was a success. She was there for me every step of the way - with great vendor recommendations, food tastings, checklists, etc. And on my wedding day, she was there to make sure everything ran smoothly (and she made sure me and my husband ate something - that was huge!). It was a perfect day - we got married on the lawn, had cocktail hour on the patio, and had the reception in the ballroom. I highly recommend getting married here!

Genna and the whole UB team exceeded all of our expectations for our wedding in June 2018! From the minute I walked into the ballroom to scope out the venue, Genna was so friendly and willing to show us around and answer all our questions. Considering I had dropped by unannounced, I was surprised by the warm welcome, as this is NOT the norm, as some of you may have already experienced visiting wedding venues. It really put me at ease. At the time, we were in the middle of lengthy negotiations/contracts with another popular venue in the area and I was feeling pretty anxious and deflated by the experience so far. Once I walked into the UB Meeting House, it felt right. We scrapped our plans with the other venue immediately, and I am honestly so pleased with our decision to have our wedding at the UB Meeting House. Mid-way through the planning process my husband got an international job offer and we relocated to the London. Genna didn't miss a beat, and we still managed to complete the planning process via email and phone as needed. Everything went smoothly the day of the wedding. The food was incredible. The staff was amazing and so accommodating to our guests (many of whom were visiting from around the country and world -UK, Nigeria, India). We were able to customize the ballroom and the experience exactly to fit our vision. We also loved the fact that for a Saturday night wedding you get(or are required to book) the 8 hotel room directly above the venue. It really made it feel like our space, and it was so convenient to be able to pop up to my room to bustle the dress, change shoes etc that night of the wedding. We also hosted a wedding brunch in the ballroom that next morning, which was awesome for guests to enjoy a little more of the venue together. I don't hesitate to recommend the UB to other couples!!!! Thank you UB for everything!

I am so happy we chose Union Bluff for our wedding weekend. The food was AMAZING and we're still getting compliments about it. The location is perfect. Genna was our coordinator who was super responsive and helpful throughout the planning process. There were a few hiccups at our reception (my husband and I forgot to tell the DJ I wasn't doing a bouquet toss!!) and Genna made it 100% work and was totally calm. They have tons of in-house decorations that they let couples use which is also super helpful!
If you're getting married on a Sunday be aware that moving rooms can be a bit stressful! We stayed in the main hotel on the Saturday night before our wedding and switched to the bridal suite for Sunday as the Sunday wedding can't have the bridal suite on Saturday nights. But, the Sunday minimums are VERY reasonable (as are plate prices) so it's totally worth it for brides on a budget.
My one complaint would be the hotel staff wasn't super pleasant and a few guests said certain ones were rude. But otherwise, The Meeting House, Genna and her staff were amazing. If I could do it all over again I'd choose the Meeting House a million times.

My husband and I were married in June 2018 and I couldn’t have been happier with the Union Bluff Meeting House and Staff. Amy and her team were like a well oiled machine. I didn’t have to worry about a thing and everything ran so smoothly. She was very responsive to our questions throughout the process and was extremely helpful. The location is so beautiful overlooking the water and the food was also great. I highly recommend the Union Bluff Meeting House for anyone looking to get married in the York area.

Where to begin?! This venue was a dream come true! The entire union bluff team was amazing and especially Genna who was there to make everything go smoothly through the whole process! The big day could not have gone better. From the food to organizing the decorations was just amazing! I received so many compliments from friends and family through out the whole day. I would 100% highly recommend union bluff meeting house for your dream wedding!

I don't even know where to begin with the amazing experience we had at the Union Bluff Meeting House. Darlene and the team were amazing! I am an event planner and was worried I would have a hard time letting go and enjoying the day without thinking of all the little details, but the moment I met with Darlene I knew I was in good hands. She was always there to answer questions and was very flexible when we had changes. Every detail that I envisioned came to life in the most perfect way and the ballroom looked even better than I imagined!

The food at the Union Bluff is amazing. People are still telling me how delicious it was and what their favorite hors d'oeuvres was. The service was also fantastic. A waitress was assigned to me and my husband during the night to make sure we got food at the cocktail hour and were able to enjoy our dinner. You hear so many horror stories of the bride and groom not getting a chance to eat, but the Union Bluff took care of that.

I would highly recommend the Union Bluff Meeting House to anyone looking for the perfect seaside wedding venue.

To sum it all up... WOW!

Amy and the entire Union Bluff staff were absolutely incredible. I was an ambitious DIY bride - I did all the flowers, centerpieces, decorations, etc. myself and I was worried things wouldn't be set up the way I had pictured. I should have known better because Amy is AMAZING. When she brought me down to see everything all set up, I was moved to tears. Everything was absolutely perfect. I barely gave her any instruction and she knew exactly what to do... she is truly talented! She made sure everything ran smoothly and I never once felt stressed out.

The food was outstanding. We chose NY Strip Steak and Seafood Stuffed Haddock... the steaks were huge and the haddock was done perfectly. Our guests were shocked that wedding food could taste so good!

What really surprised us was the service we received from everyone at the Union Bluff. Bartenders, wait staff, housekeeping, front desk staff... everyone was so friendly and accommodating. We had a bunch of our guests spend the weekend and everyone we talked to was blown away by the beauty of the hotel and the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff.

Words can't describe how incredible the Union Bluff was. Our wedding was absolutely perfect and the Union Bluff is a huge reason why. Thank you to Amy and everyone else for such a wonderful day!

Our wedding at the Union Bluff Meeting House was almost exactly one year ago, so this review is a bit overdue. One year later, and my husband and I are still SO happy that we chose the Union Bluff as our wedding venue. Our whole wedding day felt like a dream, and went so smoothly thanks to Darlene and her team. They took care of all the details (from setting up, to making sure everyone in our wedding party knew where to be and when, etc.). Darlene is truly a pro and is really so good at what she does. We had initially met with Genna and know we would have been in great hands with her as well. We have received many rave reviews about the Union Bluff and the food from our guests! We also loved having everything in one place and chose to have our rehearsal dinner at the Union Grille, which was also a great choice! We can't thank everyone at the Union Bluff enough!

My husband and I got engaged August of 2016 and had a family vacation two weeks later in York. At the time I was an event coordinator in Boston which meant my planning mode went into high gear and I snuck in a few venue tours mid-week of our vaca. The second we stepped foot at Union Bluff my heart dropped. Now we just had to sell the groom! We met with our planner Amy who explained all of the packages, ceremony options, and reception. Our guest count was around 135 and everyone was coming from Massachusetts. The moment we saw the menu I knew my husband would approve ! We splurged and did the platinum package which included cake dj valet and so much more......we adored every single vendor Amy recommended. I cannot rave enough about this woman. Throughout the engagement my husband and I bought a home had a child and I transitioned from city event coordinator to a stay at home mom. Translation: Amy got hundreds of emails from me that could have easily been trimmed to a handful but she responded quickly every single time. Any question I had was answered the following Email! Being in the business I know That brides with a wedding one year away don't need linen colors immediately, but Amy never made me feel that way! It was as if I was the only bride Union Bluff had, the connection and experience I had while planning made our day even more exciting! The food was to die for, the views were breathtaking, and the staff stole my heart! We chose to have both our ceremony and reception on property and the pictures attached speak for themselves ! No matter where you are on the property it is perfect for photos ! We settled on the Saturday of Labor Day weekend, so unfortunately guests did pay the expensive Maine room fee BUT every single one of my guests complimented the hotel service as well. The location sells itself but it is truly the employees who make the venue the most amazing venue in New England.

I couldn't be happier with my wedding at the Union Bluff! Our wedding coordinator, Amy, was amazing. We viewed several venues in the area and chose the Union Bluff partly because of how great she was! Amy was so easy to work with and kept us on track throughout the entire planning process. We had our wedding at the Union Bluff Meeting House on 8/26/17, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to get married in Southern Maine! Darlene is AMAZING. She is organized, professional, helpful and always on top of everything - she is literally everything you would ever want in a wedding coordinator! We had the best weather for our wedding with the most beautiful outdoor lawn ceremony, lovely cocktail hour on the patio, and incredible reception in the ballroom. The food was amazing and the entire staff was phenomenal! We received so many compliments from our family and guests, and we continue to receive compliments to this day about how perfect the venue and location was! Our wedding experience with the Union Bluff Meeting House and Darlene truly surpassed anything we had ever dreamed of! The venue itself is absolutely amazing and speaks for itself. Everything from the view of Short Sands, to the pristine inside, to the delicious send off brunch. We worked with Darlene as our coordinator and she made the entire experience (both planning and day of) so easy and fun. Darlene was extremely helpful with any questions that we had and responded to emails right away with numerous suggestions. The day of she was extremely calm/fun and made it so that we didn't have to think about anything but each other. We cannot wait to go back every year for our anniversary. Genna and the entire staff at the Union Bluff made our wedding day flawless. The Union Bluff was absolutely perfect for our wedding. Not only did it have an amazing ocean view, indoor and outdoor space, and an amazing facility, but also an incredible staff. When my dress strap broke, Genna, my wedding coordinator was right there with a sewing kit. Everyone was very helpful and made it easy to plan the wedding along the way. The food was delicious, and everything was beautiful. I couldn't have asked for a better day. I was able to enjoy every second without worrying because the staff was so trustworthy and on top of everything. Also, the price had much better deals and was cheaper than many venues that were less nice. Thank you, Union Bluff!

We had our wedding at the Union Bluff Meeting House on 8/5/17 and we couldn’t have been happier. It truly was a magical day. Our coordinator Genna Perry was absolutely amazing. She was organized, helpful, calm and friendly. Everything you want in a wedding coordinator. Our ceremony was under a tent on the lawn and it was wonderful exchanging vows with the waves in the background. They were calling for rain and thunderstorms but they passed and it ended up being perfect weather. I got all the pictures I wanted on the cliffs and the beach. The ballroom was decorated beautifully and the food was incredible. I had the haddock with lobster sauce and my husband did the filet. Both delicious! We also did the sendoff brunch which Amy did a great job helping with. Everyone was raving about what a blast they had at our wedding. I recommend the Union Bluff Meeting House for your wedding. They do a fabulous job and it’s a great value for being right on the beach!

My daughter got married at the Union Bluff Meeting House on 8/5/17. We were so impressed and pleased with how professional both Genna, event coordinator and the entire staff was. They went out of the way to make the day special; it was evident to me that they loved their job.

We had family travel from all over the country to attend the wedding; it was great that once they got to the Union Bluff House, no one had to drive the entire weekend. The ceremony was held at the lawn of the Union Bluff hotel and the reception just steps away. The food at the reception was awesome. We also had a send off breakfast after the wedding which was also wonderful.

We got married at the Union Bluff Meeting House on July 8th, and it was absolutely perfect! The venue is amazing- we were married in front of the ocean on the lawn, had a fabulous cocktail hour outside on the patio, and so much fun during the reception inside. It is such a beautiful, classy, and comfortable venue! Genna coordinated our wedding from start to finish, and we couldn't have asked for someone more attentive, calm, and caring about making sure our day was perfect! She handled everything from recommending vendors, to preparing the timelines and decorating the space, to helping me when I ripped my dress- she was absolutely amazing and we can't thank her enough! Amy did a fabulous job with our wedding and breakfast too, she was so friendly, helpful, and accommodating to us! We also can't thank Evan enough, he took great care of transporting my grandmother from the ceremony to the reception so she wouldn't have to walk far, and we greatly appreciated his help! All of the staff, servers, housekeepers, and bartenders were awesome at the Union Bluff Hotel & Meeting House, and we can not thank them all enough for making our dream wedding weekend come true! My husband and I are so happy we chose the Union Bluff Meeting House for our ceremony and reception. Darlene and the entire Union Bluff team were wonderful! What could have been a stressful planning process, was nothing but smooth with the Union Bluff team. They were extremely helpful with our vendor search, planning the day-of events, and just keeping our overall stress level down! Darlene was always very responsive with both e-mail and phone calls; she was with us every step of the way!

Our wedding day went off without a hitch. The ceremony on the lawn was beautiful. And that view was perfect! Our cocktail hour was out on the patio. The wait staff kept the appetizers coming - our guests were never empty handed! My husband and I escaped for a few minutes during cocktail hour and we even had a plate of appetizers and drinks waiting for us in our room. It was such a nice surprise!

Darlene made sure the reception stayed on track. She is extremely organized and professional. My husband and I didn't worry about anything because we knew Darlene had it under control!

With the Union Bluff we definitely had the Best Day Ever!

The Union Bluff Hotel and Meeting House surpassed our expectations from start to finish. From the planning process to arranging room blocks, choosing our vendors, and the execution of each of our events over our entire wedding weekend, we could not have asked for greater professionalism and excitement from all we interacted with. Genna was our coordinator and she was extremely responsive, personable, informative, and most importantly kind. Amy was also great to work with and very friendly. Chris helped us with our room block and our guests could not say enough good things about her and the entire hotel staff. We truly had the best day/weekend of our lives and could not be happier with our experience. Our guests felt the same way! The Meetinghouse at the Union Bluff was an absolute dream come true for our wedding! The setting is beautiful. Honestly, if it were possible to award 10 stars, we would. Our wedding at the Meeting House was beyond incredible. It was everything we dreamed of and more thanks to Darlene and her wonderful staff. We loved working with Darlene; she felt like family from the beginning! She accommodated all of our requests, and helped us through every aspect of our wedding planning. On the wedding weekend, she was right by our side whenever we needed her, managed everyone, and made us feel so at ease, like everything was taken care of. She anticipated every possible problem and fixed it before we ever even needed to worry. Our wedding was beautiful, well orchestrated, and incredibly fun. We got married on November 5th 2016! It was most definitely the best day of our lives. Our wedding coordinator Darlene was amazing! From the day we started planning until the big day she was there every step of the way. As a long distance bride living in New York and planning a wedding in Maine, Darlene was so accommodating. She helped us stay without our budget and was willing to go over the wedding details as much as we needed! The day of the wedding was smooth sailing and I felt confident in Darlene and the rest of the Union Bluff staff that our day would be everything we had hoped! From the venue, to the food, to the service and not to mention the beautiful setting in York Beach, Maine I can not say enough wonderful things about the hotel and the meeting house. The Union Bluff is a perfect wedding venue! We highly recommend it to anyone looking to get married in Southern Maine!

The outdoor ceremony location is gorgeous (as in the inside of the venue if you're caught in the rain). The patio for cocktail hour is lovely. The reception room is beautiful, from the bathrooms to the Chiavari chairs. The food is fantastic - particularly the seafood stuffed haddock! The location of the venue is in the perfect spot for out-of-town guests to explore and walk on the beach. On the day of the wedding our coordinator, Genna, was on top of the details and made sure everything went smoothly!

A few things I would tell others looking to get married at the Union Bluff:

- The pre-wedding tasting party is so much fun! We brought our parents and made a night of it. Definitely one of the highlights of the planning process.

- All the venue staff are absolutely amazing! They are helpful, efficient, professional, and so nice. They took care of everything!

- Ask in advance for the list of questions you will be asked at the 6-month meeting. This will help you better plan for the meeting and will get you thinking about things you wouldn't otherwise (i.e. how do you want your napkins folded? What time is your photographer arriving? etc.). I wish we had had a bit more guidance on this so our meeting was more productive.

- Don't order the cotton candy champagne for the formal toasts. We loved the passed cotton candy champagne at our tasting, so we ordered it for the toasts at our reception. However, by the time we were introduced and sat down at our table, the cotton candy in all the glasses had dissolved. If I had a do-over, I would have cotton candy champagne passed around during cocktail hour instead.

- The ice cream sundae bar is awesome! We received so many compliments on this.

We loved having our wedding at the Union Bluff and are so thankful to all of the staff for helping to make it such a wonderful day!

We fell in love with the Union Bluff the second we drove into the bustling but quaint little town of York. As soon as we saw the incredible outdoor ceremony views, the elegant ballroom reception hall, and met with a very helpful wedding coordinator, Genna, we knew we had to lock this place down. Our wedding took place on a rainy October Saturday in the middle of a summer long drought. Genna couldn't have been more supportive as she allowed me to make the decision to move our ceremony indoors 15 minutes before the ceremony start. Everything went off without a hitch, and not only have my husband and I been constantly raving about how amazing of a day/night we had, but we keep hearing 5 star reviews from all of ours guests as well. we can't thank the UB enough for a incredible, memorable, and perfect wedding day!

They gave Phil and I each an extra meal to take home, Darlene was to the rescue with tape when my matron of honor’s dress didn’t fit just right, Darlene even found a Tide Pen and helped clean one of my bridesmaid’s dresses when it got dirty. The service we received was unbelievable. After we checked out the day after the wedding we left some of our flowers in the room because we didn’t have room to transport them home, and the hotel called to make sure we didn’t want them and didn’t leave them there by mistake. Also, we chose all of our vendors from the list Union Bluff recommended and I’m very glad we did. We felt like we had the A team and there were all great working together. It made our wedding so efficient and perfect! I have nothing but great things to say about Union Bluff and I highly recommend it!

We got married on 8/27/2016 at Union Bluff and could not have asked for a better experience. We planned the wedding from London and had full support from Genna, our wedding coordinator at Union Bluff, throughout the entire process. The day of the wedding we were never worried about where we needed to be at what time or concerned about other details because the staff made sure that everything was covered without us having to worry about any of it. All of our guests raved about the beautiful ceremony and reception settings as well as the professionalism of the staff. We are so happy we chose Union Bluff!

My husband and I got married at The Union Bluff Meeting House on 7/29/16. I couldn't have asked for a better location, venue and a more accommodating staff! Genna was our Wedding Coordinator and she made my vision come alive with her attention to detail. The food was amazing and all our guests had a blast! Even the weather which didn't look promising (80% chance of rain) turned out amazing, which Genna says they have great luck with! My daughter and son-in law were married at Union Bluff last weekend. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful venue and more helpful staff. Gonna was the wedding coordinator and she was helpful, organized and quick to respond. She understood my daughter's vision and helped to bring everything together beautifully. My husband and I recently got married at the Union Bluff on Memorial Day weekend (May 29th 2016) and we had the most amazing experience! From the moment we reached out to set up a day to look at the venue to the day we left, everything was AMAZING! Darlene and her staff really listen to what you want, and they make it happen. They always answered our emails in a timely manner, and we never felt like they had any other weddings going on (and trust me they did!) We never felt pressured to pick a more expensive package or pressured to add a toast etc, whatever we wanted they did for us! The venue it's self is beautiful, right on the water with a wonderful view, and the reception room is very pretty, and allows you to dress it up or down to fit your wedding theme! The food at our wedding was AMAZING, we still have guests telling us how it was the best food they have eaten at a wedding! We had the most beautiful wedding and we really owe it all to Darlene and her staff, it wouldn't have been as great without them!

We honestly cannot say thank you enough for the job that the Union Bluff event staff did with our wedding. We worked with Darlene, who was exceptional. We live across the country in San Francisco, and Darlene made everything so easy and effortless. She helped coach us along the way, and always kept up in the loop with everything & anything we needed to do. She was extremely organized leading up to & during the day of our wedding, all the way until the end. She even had our cards & some extra cake waiting for us when we got to our room! We felt that everyone we worked with went above and beyond to make our day special. This includes making a special appetizer plate for me, the bride, because I have a lot of food restrictions.We chose passed appetizers that the majority of people would like, and I would not have been able to eat, which I don't mind. But the staff made me my own special plate of lobster and shrimp. We were blown away. We had also been using the least expensive table settings, but they went through the trouble of providing us with the much fancier settings because they had them there for a wedding from the day before. So at no extra cost the went to work to get them prepared so we could have beautiful linens. The location is stunning! great for photos and ideal for guests. The parking was easy, and there are so many interesting places for guests to explore by foot. We are so grateful to have found the Inn at Union Bluff. We enthusiastically recommend them.

AMAZING!!! Our wedding was perfect due to the fabulous laid back staff! We could not of had a better wedding coordinator than Darlene! She was so flexible with our choices and ideas for our wedding. I loved most that she was honest when we asked opinions and checked to be sure we were "put together" before we made it to the isle! We cannot thank Darlene and the staff at the Union Bluff Meeting House enough for such an amazing wedding reception. Our coordinator Darlene was exceptional!! Throughout the planning process she was extremely professional, organized and fun to work with. Since we were from out of state the vendor lists and suggestions she gave were extremely helpful. She was always available to answer our questions along the way and made us feel so at ease on the wedding day because we knew we were in good hands with her.

The venue is truly one of a kind! We knew from our first visit that it was the perfect venue for us since it had both the formal ballroom combined with the beach scene. Our guests are still talking about how beautiful the venue was and how much fun they had dancing the night away. Having the opportunity to dance in the ballroom as well as take in the views from the deck overlooking Short Sands Beach was something everyone raved about.

We plan on making many visits to the Union Bluff in the future and all the wonderful memories it brings from our beautiful wedding.

The Union Bluff exceeded my highest expectations. We planned our wedding from another state and had our reception there. The service was phenomenal. Darlene Yankura was a pleasure to work with, she pulled off every detail and made our day run beautifully without a hitch. She was also very helpful during the planning and quick to respond to all of my e-mails. Everyone who works there is so friendly and truly cares about customer service. Secondly, the food was delicious!! There is nothing like fresh Maine lobster! All in all, if you are considering this place, go for it! You won't be disappointed.

While we didn't end up booking Union Bluff for our wedding, it was a close 2nd. I was in contact with Carrie multiple times prior to visiting the venue and she was very flexible when we weren't able to meet her the first time. Upon meeting Carrie, she was very professional, prepared, not pushy, and very helpful. She even put together multiple proposals based on different ideas that I had at different price points. Based on the proposals she sent me, I'd say that Union Bluff is a great value, especially for the location and for having everything basically done for you. We loved the venue - it is beautiful, clean, and right on the water. The only reason that we didn't book UB is because we found our dream location (which is a barn setting and a totally different look and feel). I don't normally review businesses unless I actually pay them for something but I felt the need to give Union Bluff a great review. Had we worked with them for our wedding, I'm sure it would have been amazing.

My husband and I got married at the Union Bluff this past August, 29th, and I honestly can't say enough about what an absolutely incredible experience it was from start to finish! Both with the venue as well as the onsite planner, Darlene, who exceeded our expectations in every way.

Darlene was extremely reliable, professional, consultative, laid back, fun and helpful every single step of the way - which was so key for us. She provided great planning sheets, tips, vendor recommendations (if needed), ideas about the layout, and she hosted a "mock reception" for couples as part of the tasting so you could get a feel for the reception room in action - which was super helpful.

When we met Darlene there was no doubt in our minds that she and her staff would knock the details out of the park and boy did they ever! The day of the wedding, everything was perfect. I honestly looked for something to be off and every detail from welcome bag delivery, to napkins, to signature cocktail signs, to the favors setup, the candles, etc. was all set up perfectly. During the clean up after the reception, Darlene and her staff collected all of the items from the big day (guest book, left over napkins, favors, items guests left behind, etc). and they even packed us two extra entrees to take home as newlyweds since we didn't eat that much during the night of! What an awesome touch that was.

All of our guests absolutely loved the venue and the area! There was something for everyone there, and it was a great way to bring families and new friends together. It was also great that no one had to drive or worry about getting from point A to point B once you were there.

My husband and I wish we could do it all over again! It seriously was the weekend of our lives!

We had our wedding at the end of August 2014 on a beautiful, warm and sunny Sunday at the Meeting House in York, Maine. Darlene took care of us from the first day we met in December of 2013, right through the very end of our amazing wedding day. She was extremely helpful with suggestions, recommendations and small pointers that really showed her experience in coordinating not only the reception, but also the ceremony. She made our wedding day so seamless, we cannot say enough about how helpful she really was.

The venue is classic, yet modern, and so much fun. Our ceremony was on the lawn next to the Union Bluff restaurant and hotel, which overlooks a bustling beach and a light ocean breeze. After the ceremony, our photographer took us across the street to take pictures on the benches, sidewalks, in the arcade, and bowling alley, which was really fun and the pictures came out really nice.

The reception afterwards and dinner went perfect! Darlene's staff was polite, funny, fast, and did a great job, even with special requests from our guests. With the great weather we had, the doors to the outside stone patio were opened and the outdoor bar service was available for the guests. The whole wedding went so well and was so much fun, it of course went by too fast.

If you're considering having your wedding here, take our word for it - Darlene and the Meeting House staff will make your day easy and will take care of everything for you, allowing you to enjoy your spouse, family, friends, and best of all - your wedding day! People are still talking about how beautiful and fun our wedding was. We are so excited to return to the Union Bluff to see Darlene.

I used to email her daily with questions and she always responded with so many answers and advice. If you are getting married in Maine, there really is no better venue than Union Bluff. Ocean in the background for your vows, the beach across the street, and the ballroom with the biggest dance floor around! I highly recommend The Meeting House for a wedding venue. My daughters wedding was AMAZING! Darlene and her entire staff were wonderful to work with and very professional. It was perfect to have everything in one place hotel, venue, and all the shops and restaurants in walking distance. Many guests came for the weekend and never got back in their car. The food was exquisite and service was top notch. I never noticed the waitstaff coming or going.
Darlene was on top of everything and I never needed to ask for anything. She was ahead of it all. She took all the stress off of my daughter and me!
My daughter and new son in law looked beautiful and enjoyed every moment!
Venue is beautiful and views are amazing!

My wedding was in June, and 3 months later people are still complimenting me on the Food, the Location, and the entire weekend. Several people have even said it was the Best Wedding they've been to, I know you can't believe everything you hear, but to me it was PERFECT!... We had our Rehearsal Dinner at the Union Bluff Grille (clambake, YUM!), perfect weather for guests to enjoy the beach for the weekend, and we had a Breakfast at the pub on Sunday, where my left over centerpieces decorated hotel :). The most important thing for me was for my guests to have fun. I had people traveling from Australia, Ireland, California, Hawaii & Virginia and I wanted to ensure that family and friends could spend time with each other for more than my 5 hour reception, and that's exactly what the Union Bluff helped me accomplish. I can't take much credit for it, b/c Darlene and her staff were amazing. Darlene checked in with me throughout the months leading up to the wedding to ensure I was on track with everything, she helped me plan my menu and assured me everything would be OK, and it was!.. CarrieAnn did an amazing job coordinating our wedding~~ fool was delicious and service was outstanding! The ball room is beautiful and elegant ~ CarrieAnn Added her own little special touches around the ballroom that made it very personable. I cannot say enough about The Union Bluff Meeting House. I have visited York Beach Maine every since I was a baby. It was like a second home. After getting engaged on the beach, we knew we wanted a beach wedding. I honestly didn't think we could afford the Union Bluff so I didn't even look. It wasn't until after seeing venue after venue that I figured why not try... It will not disappoint! They literally can work with any budget, and even the most modest wedding looks like a million bucks! The room is gorgeous and they have so many stock pieces available in a beach theme to save you money. We used the house linens, lobster trap for cards, and hurricane candle, sand and shells centerpieces and they were outstanding. The food was amazing, which in my opinion most wedding food or any food that is made in bulk is just ok, and the service was extraordinary. Carrie Ann was very attentive and took care of everything ! She kept us on time and was always there to answer a question. I highly recommend taking advantage of a lighting package if it comes with your dj or getting the lighting from another vendor. It really takes the room to the next level. To save money we had our wedding in April on a Friday night, and it was amazing. Our whole family, being from Mass took over the hotel and it was an amazing weekend worth every penny--A DREAM WEDDING!

My husband and I just got married at the Meeting House on June 27, and we could not have been happier with that decision! We are from MA and so planning an out of state wedding was hard enough, but working with the main coordinator Darlene made our lives so much easier! Darlene was available any time we ever needed her, in fact it was a running joke in our emails how many novels with questions I would ask her! She was professional and always responded immediately to all my questions. The day of the wedding was a gorgeous day with the ocean right behind us! Darlene and her staff were there every step of the way and the guests RAVED about the food. We took our wedding photos right on the beach and my dress got very sandy. Darlene was the best. She kept everything on time and above and beyond doing her job . Even after the ceremony was over she packed everything up for us. The view from the meeting us is spectacular also. We had more than one person go out of the way to tell us it was the best and most fun wedding they had ever been to. When I was a little girl and spent each summer in York Beach, ME where the Meeting House stands now was the old movie theater. Several years ago when they knocked the theater down and built the Meeting House I said to my family that this was where I was going to get married!! Low and behold my boyfriend proposed and this was the First and ONLY location we went to visit for our reception. My fiancé and myself along with our entire family could not have asked for more!! From the planning to the actual event, Darlene and the staff of the Meeting House and Union Bluff did an amazing job. The ceremony, food, decorations and staff of the hotel, there was nothing we would have changed. If I could give more stars I would!!

I LOVED getting married at the Union Bluff Meeting House and its a special place I know I will visit for years to come! The ceremony site is so perfect, right overlooking the beach/ocean. We loved the comfort of the The Meeting House ballroom, with an enjoyable deck to mingle and enjoy the stars and full moon. The food was delicious and our guests raved about our surprise Smore bar. Darlene was the best part of it all! She was our designated coordinator and she was so great at getting back to me right away. I never felt stressed because I know I could always contact her for quick advice, even if it was regarding other vendors. She always went above and beyond and I am so grateful to have had such a stress-free vendor to work with. I loved attending our tasting too!! Highly recommend the UBMH. The rooms are the nicest and probably the nicest we have ever stayed in!

My husband and I are still on cloud nine from the perfect wedding at the union bluff meeting house! We knew we wanted to get married there because of the location, which was everything we dreamed and more but Darlene and the rest of the staff at the hotel and meeting house helped to make this our dream wedding. From day one, we were impressed by the organization, timely responses, advice and helpful hints. That day she ensured that every single thing ran smoothly; she went around to tables and made sure everyone was happy and she even managed to fix a rip in my dress, before anyone else could notice. She is the best and we would most definitely recommend The Meeting House!!! The location, the quality of the food and the unbelievable staff can't be beat!

Darlene and the rest of the staff at the Meeting House helped give me the wedding of my dreams. The location itself is spectacular. The food was delicious and served in a timely manner, our specialty cocktail was fantastic, and the decor of the room was exactly what I wanted. The staff is extremely professional and my wedding was smooth, energetic, and an absolute great time was had by all. I can't compliment Darlene enough about her responsiveness and availability throughout the planning process. She even checked in with me during the day of the wedding to show me pictures of the ballroom to make sure it was to my liking. Overall, she is phenomenal and I recommend her and the Meeting House to all future brides.

We had our wedding here on June 7th and the ceremony was suppose to be outside but it poured! Darlene and staff were wonderful getting everything set up inside and looking great. The food was fabulous the set up of the room was great. The hotel was so clean and nice.

Darlene and the Staff at the meeting house were beyond amazing. The food, presentation, staff, and overall space was beyond our expectations. This is the venue to beat in Maine, I have worked as a wedding planner and this space is simply the best! I could never have pictured our wedding any where else, any season wedding here would be amazing! Darlene is also the best of the best!!

Amazing amazing amazing- absolutely amazing! We did the whole wedding long distance and Darlene and Susan were amazing! Anything I needed, any melt down, and question was handled and with just the right amount of professionalism tough love and encouragement!! The venue speaks for itself with its gorgeous views- rain or shine its stunning- however its the team that really makes it all! Darlene was so fantastic and so helpful- we can't say enough good things about it! If you want your dream wedding to really come true- this is a perfect perfect place! The food was amazing- people were in awe of how wonderful the whole day turned out! Everything was just what we had wanted- Thanks so much!

Our wedding at the Union Bluff Hotel was perfect! Thanks to Susan's incredible organization and professionalism, we didn't have to worry about a thing throughout the entire planning process. We wanted a venue on the beach where everyone could stay for the weekend and we got exactly that. Our ceremony was on the lawn and then our guests stepped right over the beautiful meeting house for the reception. It was so nice to have everything in one place. The hotel was perfect and everyone was incredibly accommodating to our guests. We are so happy that we chose the meeting house for our wedding. We would highly recommend it!

This venue is amazing! The spot is beautiful and right on the water. We couldn't have asked for anything better. Darlene and Susan are great at what they do. The food was delicious and everything from the hotel to the meeting house kept up extremely well! All of our guests had an amazing time and raved about the food!!

Ok - my husband and I cannot say enough about the Union Bluff and Meeting House, and about their coordinators, Darlene and Susan. We worked mostly with Darlene...and she is just amazing. Firstly, the entire hotel and reception space is GORGEOUS! For an outdoor wedding, there is a grassy knoll area that overlooks Short Sands Beach and the ocean. They have an arbor you can use, too, if you wish (we had a Chuppa made). The space is just so gorgeous! Everything at the hotel is amazing too...the food at the pub rocks (no, really), and the food at the Union Grill is impressive gourmet good that isn't overpriced considering it overlooks the Maine coastline. We had our rehearsal dinner there and EVERYONE RAVED about how good the food was. Appetizers, too. We booked a corner ocean-view room with deck for three nights...the room was slightly more compact than I expected, but it was still great. (We couldn't afford the best of the best rooms...) The deck made the experience even better - we even had some bride/groom and wedding party photos on the deck. We also did our first look on the deck and it was AMAZING to be on the ocean, to feel the breeze and for us to see each other for the first time.

The Meeting House reception space is probably once of the nicest spots I've seen. The patio overlooks the ocean, the bar opens up to both the patio and the reception hall, AND the bride and groom get to chill out in a private room with apps and drinks before being announced to the reception. The food was amazing, too (not that we ate much...but that's the word from our guests). We'd rented just half the hall with our smaller numbers, and it was the perfect amount of space. As for the options, there are so many to choose from...from the food, to the linens you can rent out through Darlene, to the well bar drinks, to the seating arrangements and table arrangements...you can pretty much have everything the way you want it. We weren't picky about these things, but it was nice to be asked and get Darlene's opinion.

And Darlene is so wonderful to work with. From the very beginning when we met with her about the Meeting House as a potential spot, she was professional, pleasant and totally in the know about how weddings work. Again...we were such rookies, we depended on her feedback and opinion on everything and she did not disappoint. She is available via phone and email pretty much any time you need her, and there was never a time when I was made to feel like my questions were silly. AND...whomever you work with will also be at the venue the entire time during your ceremony and reception to make sure things go as planned. From the decorating, to the set-up, to the organization of people, to the ceremony parts (procession and recession), to the order of reception events, and even to how to cut the cake (which we still managed to botch!)...they are there for whatever you might need. And I think they sort of hang back after the bride walks down the aisle so it's still "private", per se, but they are there in case. And during the reception Darlene was totally receptive to us. It was a great comfort to have someone there to keep track of things and in case something went wrong.

If you're considering the Union Bluff for your ceremony/reception...you will not be disappointed in anything!

My wedding was held on March 10th at the beautiful Meeting House in York, Maine. I like to call it the Wedding of the century! J My Mom, Husband, and I had the pleasure of working with Darlene and Susan who are the Event coordinators. Darlene is the main point of contact for event planning and is wonderful to work with. She was always very responsive to my emails (felt like daily) I would send her, solve any wedding related drama that arose on my end, and provided tons of options and ideas. She also made our dinner tasting so much fun by inviting us to a private tasting since our wedding was off season! Darlene made every aspect of wedding planning a breeze, and not to mention the rehearsal and wedding day a cinch! From the moment I saw the Meeting House ball room I knew it would be my venue, but my only fear was that it was out of our price range! If you haven’t had a chance to check it out go take a peak! We scheduled a meeting to meet Darlene, but she had been stuck in traffic in Boston and couldn’t make it back in time. We was very apologetic and we were casual and could reschedule. A very nice woman at the front desk brought us to the room and provided the wedding packet! We were able to ask her a few questions as well. Darlene definitely went above and beyond to make up for missing the meeting. She provided us with dinner at the Bluff grill for after our next meeting! We met with her, loved her personality and creativity -- then had a fabulous dinner! She certainly did not have to do this, but it certainly gave us a chance to experience what the Bluff could do! She also showed us rooms above the venue where my guests and I would be staying. I was so excited to actually think my wedding would be here. It was a dream! The rooms are pristinely clean, modern, and comfortably cozy! ! I highly recommend working with the Union Bluff to plan your wedding. You certainly will not be disappointed!

To sum up our amazing experience with the Union Bluff Meeting House, I'll tell you what my husband said the day after our wedding: "If Darlene asked us to be in a commercial for the Union Bluff, I'd do it for free." We cannot say enough good things about this venue. First of all, through the planning process, Darlene was a life saver. Never once did I have to wait more than 24 hours for a response to an email I sent her (even on days she was "off"). Any request I had, the answer was always “yes, we can do that.” She is a rock star wedding coordinator.

The day of the wedding, Darlene and her staff run things like your wedding is the most important wedding they have ever done. The food comes out quickly and everything moves along so that dancing time is maximized! Oh, and the food… the food. The food was SO GOOD. A few of my family members commented that the steak they had with the surf & turf was “the best steak they have ever had in their life.” I didn’t get to try any of the apps during the cocktail hour, but I hear those were good as well! Darlene had accommodated our request to customize the beers behind the bar, and it was fun to see guests walking around with all the local brews we had picked.

After the reception was over, the hotel staff accommodated our large group of guests who wanted to keep the party going (it was an Irish wedding, it wasn’t going to end at 10pm) by opening up the restaurant side for us so we basically had our own pub for the night! They let us have an Irish sing-song in there (who doesn’t bring an instrument to a wedding, right?) and kept the drinks flowing until they closed up at 1am. It was a blast and the perfect ending to a perfect day. We also had a brunch the next morning for our guests, which was a huge success and the Union Bluff kept the food coming despite the fact that twice the number of people showed up for the brunch than I thought would!

In terms of pricing, I did find that setting up our own menu a-la-carte style was much cheaper than the packages. It allowed us to have surf & turf as a menu option, which would have been prohibitively expensive at most other venues!

Obviously, the venue is gorgeous. I mean, you’re looking at the ocean. The Meeting House is a beautiful space, and the porch is perfect for the cocktail hour. The bridal suite above the Meeting House is absolutely gorgeous and perfect for getting ready in. York Beach is a great place to host out-of-town guests because you can walk everywhere and the town is so cute.

I feel like my review can’t do the amazing experience we had with the Union Bluff Meeting House and Darlene justice. Book your wedding there and you won’t regret it!

Darlene and her staff went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make our day perfect in every way. Every email I sent, she responded within a day (usually within an hour). I am a overly detailed-conscious person. SO IS SHE! We worked so well together. She had suggestions for me which helped me reach the "Beach Elegance" theme I was going for. Everything on our day was PERFECTION. Thank you to everyone at the Meeting House...from the housekeeping ladies who got my bridal suite ready for me in record time, to the chef who prepared the most amazing dinner, to the valet guys who ran back and forth parking people's cars for them...but, most of all to Darlene...without you, our memories wouldn't be what they were! LOVE GERRILYN & MICHAEL!!!!

My husband and I LOVE the Union Bluff. We got engaged on the beach infront of Union Bluff and I knew that is where I wanted to get married!! The food is/was so good and the wedding coordinator Darlene is awesome!! She knows her stuff and gets things done and makes it so easy!!! I would recommend getting married or just staying at the Bluff anytime....I cant wait until I stay their again!!

The Union Bluff was more than incredible with our wedding day/night! They not only provided us with our own pre-ceremony changing room, but they offered us glasses, water, brought the bouquets right to us so we didn't have to worry about picking them up, and were all around a wonderful experience!

Then when it came time for dinner, the service and food was extraordinary! They had put out a banquet of cheese and fruit for people to pick at until we arrived, and they were so pleasant and accomodating the entire time! Everyone had a great night, and everyone LOVED the food there! There was not a single plate left with food on it by the end of the night! :) Bravo!

I can't even say enough about The Union Bluff Meeting House and their coordinator, Darlene. From day one, Darlene made us feel totally comfortable and relaxed. She tries her very best to remove all the stressors of your wedding from you, and she handles everything to a tee. She will answer your emails at all times very quickly and does her best to keep you focused on the 'big picture'. We had a lot of little details as part of our wedding and she executed every single one of them just as (even better!) than we dreamed of. She really made our wedding dreams into a reality. She is so on top of her game and stayed 5 steps ahead of us at all times (which was not easy with me as a bride!!). Not a single thing went wrong on our wedding day largely in part to her! The venue is beyond gorgeous, as well as the ceremony spot outside, you can't beat the location, the food is to die for, and you have one of the best coordinators ever at your beck and call! Everyone is still talking about how our amazing wedding and how it was the best wedding they've ever been to!

I wish I could give this a 10 out of 5 (that's how good it was)!!!! Darlene is hands-down the BEST coordinator that we met with, and is a HUGE reason why we booked at The Meeting House. She could not do enough for us, or our families. She is so on top of her game, that it put my "super organized, almost OCD" personality at ease right away. The whole day could not have been better. It was GORGEOUS!!! She definitely worked with our budget and gave us the best ideas. We had a quilt for guests to sign, and needed to make sure that it was turned halfway through the reception. My mom said she would do it, and without hestitating Darlene said it was already undercontrol. She took care of everything so that our family and guests could enjoy themselves. She worked so well with all our vendors as well (as we booked our DJ, photographers and cake separately). I cannot say enough about how great our day was and what a huge part Darlene played in it. The whole place is beyond beautiful. We already have a one-year anniversary trip to go back (with our friends and family)! Thank you so much for everything! Absolutely, more than we ever imagined!!!
