Hiring Sonia was one of the best choices we made for our wedding. From the very beginning, she made the process feel collaborative and truly took the time to get to know us. She understood the vision and aesthetic my husband and I wanted for our wedding day, and throughout the planning process, she offered thoughtful suggestions I hadn’t even considered, helping bring our vision to life and make it even better. I can easily get overwhelmed by a long to-do list, but Sonia gave us a clear month-by-month checklist and checked in regularly, which reassured me that we were on track and getting everything done in a timely way. Her calm, steady energy was exactly what we needed throughout planning and on the wedding day.
On the day itself, Sonia and her team made sure every detail was taken care of — from having our signature cocktails ready right after the ceremony to setting aside food for us at the end of the night. She coordinated all of our vendors, served as the main point of contact, and kept the timeline flowing seamlessly. Because of her and her team, my husband and I could simply enjoy being with each other and our loved ones. By the time the evening wrapped up, everything was already packed and ready to go.
For a day that can easily feel stressful with so many moving parts, Sonia made it feel effortless. We were able to be fully present in every moment, and guests still tell us how beautiful, meaningful, and fun the day was. It was an honor to work with her, and we are so deeply grateful. We will sing her praises forever!

From the very beginning, Sonia was exceptional, and I cannot recommend her enough. After interviewing several others, I chose Under the Vine Events because of Sonia's deep knowledge of Napa Valley and the wedding industry, along with her calming energy and fun nature. As a Napa native and an outdoors enthusiast like myself, I instantly felt we connected and that she truly understood the vibe I envisioned for our wedding. I chose her full bridal package after considering what I might need, and I’m so glad I did.
Despite living across the country in Atlanta, her frequent and thoughtful communication made me feel supported and confident every step of the way. She would video the venue as the vines and flowers began to season. She went out of her way to get local items for our welcome bags. She even helped me secure the rehearsal dinner location and contract, which she didn't have to do. She was always attentive to my preferences, checking in regularly to ensure nothing had changed and patiently exploring my ideas whenever they evolved, even though I usually stuck with the original plan.
She created an incredible design board that beautifully captured the elegant black, white, and green theme I had dreamed of. Sonia succeeded in blending our personalities with a touch of eclectic style, adding candles, whimsical flowers, a hint of velvet for the cocktail area, and plenty of lighting to create a romantic and joyful atmosphere for our celebration. Our wedding, with about 65 guests from around the world (my husband is part Australian, part French), turned out to be truly magical. Even though it was unexpectedly hot (95 degrees!), she made sure our guests had extra thoughtful touches that helped make the day as comfortable as possible.
As a clear example of Sonia's above-and-beyond approach, she helped us handle a stressful situation when our venue unexpectedly canceled our guests' and our reservations two weeks before the wedding for another event. Sonia stepped in immediately, took charge of the problem, calmed my anxiety, and helped get it resolved, even though it wasn't part of her job. Without her, I honestly don't know how we would have managed.
Sonia exceeded all my expectations. Her professionalism, warmth, and dedication truly made a difference. I would love to work with her again, and I honestly miss our regular check-ins now that the wedding has wrapped up. If you’re looking for a knowledgeable, calming, and highly capable planner, Sonia is absolutely the best. -

Sonia and Under the Vine Events are the absolute dream wedding team! Last year, at the beginning of January, my husband and I, after planning to have a long engagement, had to plan a wedding in four months due to a family member's illness. We both worked full-time corporate and often worked well over 50 hours a week. Planning a wedding seemed nearly impossible, but Sonia made the entire experience wonderful. For years, I had heard that wedding planning was stressful, but I had the most fun planning my wedding. I showed Sonia my Pinterest board, told her the vibe and color theme I was going for, and she helped me put together my dream wedding. She was beyond organized, easy to get a hold of, catered to our schedules, and pretty much did all of the behind-the-scenes, so my husband and I rarely spoke to any vendors. We only did the fun things; she handled all the coordination with vendors, timelines, payments, and helped us search for vendors, all the stuff you don't want to do! Day of, she was amazing, anything that needed to be communicated, she would check in with MOH first, so I was never stressed - I had the best day ever and just got to take it all in. I cannot recommend Sonia and Under The Vine Events enough! I mean, planning a dream wedding in 4 to 5-ish months without stress - that alone speaks volumes!! -

Working with Sonia was an absolute dream from beginning to end! My husband and I are still glowing from our wedding day, and we owe so much of it to Sonia’s incredible planning and design expertise.
One of the things we appreciated most about Sonia was how she anticipated needs and often suggested small but crucial details that we never would have thought about on our own. She also has great recommendations and relationships with other vendors in the area which was super helpful for our planning process.
If you're looking for someone who is not only professional and organized but also genuinely caring and thoughtful, Sonia is the one you need. We can't recommend her enough! -

We had an absolutely amazing wedding, and I attribute that 100% to Sonia. I made the crazy decisions to have my wedding during the most insane period of medical school and when my husband was extremely busy with work (not to mention we live across the country), so there is no way we would have been able to pull it off without her. Sonia was extremely patient with my chronic indecisiveness, and delivered on everything we asked for. Her experience and knowledge of both event/wedding planning and the Napa area was vital. We constantly deferred to her for advice and opinions, and she brought important things to our attention that I never would have considered. Not only is she great at what she does, but she is also a genuinely great human and truly a pleasure to work with. Her energy was exactly what I needed on the day of- calm, in control, and excited. I felt SO good knowing she was there, and I trusted that she could handle whatever came our way. Even when our videographer canceled day of due to Covid, she was able to coordinate with the last minute replacement and I didn’t think about it once. I honestly didn’t stress for even a second on my wedding day, and that is thanks to Sonia. Ultimately, she was able to really understand our vision for the day, and then miraculously bring it to life. If I were to do it all over again, I would not hesitate for a second to hire Sonia again. -

The BEST Napa Valley Planner!
Sonia is the BEST!! My now husband and I could not be happier with working with Sonia from start to finish. Her attention to detail, prompt responsiveness and kind personality made it an absolute joy to work together. She always thought of small (but important) details I never would have thought about it she hadn’t brought it up. She even made our dinner menus for us and picked them up from the print shop. Our wedding was PERFECT all thanks to Sonia! Couldn’t recommend more! -

We had a great experience with Sonia. She was extremely helpful and responsive with our May 2023 wedding. The weather in Napa was not looking promising for our all outdoor wedding, so naturally we were extremely nervous and stressed out. Sonia was able to calm our nerves and hold our hand through the extremely stressful wedding-planning process. She had some great ideas for how to elevate our wedding, and she was wonderful with finalizing all the details with our vendors. We couldn't recommend Sonia and the UTVE team enough! -

Sonia guided us flawlessly through the process of bringing our wedding together and executing the big day. We had a large wedding (170 people) at a private venue that had not previously hosted weddings so there was a lot to do and Sonia helped us build our dream wedding from the ground up! We hired the Under the Vine team for the "month of coordination" package. Sonia gave us recommendations even before she officially came on board full time, and then was completely involved 45 days before the wedding. I could tell she wanted us to have OUR perfect wedding, and let us lead the way, never trying to push us into anything we didn't want. She was always focusing us our goals and pointing out any details we missed. She is so easy to talk to and I really trusted her judgement. She coordinated all final details-timing, contracts etc- with the vendors, especially working extensively with catering and rentals as our facility required bringing in everything we needed. She built a timeline that played out the entire day, and several diagrams mapping out our set up across the property and communicated that with everyone who needed to know.
On the day of, everything was amazing. I have attached the thank you email I sent to Sonia immediately after with my reflections on how the day went to share how truly amazing she is. I highly recommend working with Under the Vine!!

And, I will be forever grateful for you bringing me what I later learned was the last pizza on the property to eat after dancing! I have seriously never enjoyed a pizza so much. I also loved getting to meet your husband- it was so cool that you two work together and that he was there too.

Sonia is hands down the best wedding coordinator we could have possible chosen for our day. She went above and beyond to make sure every single detail was taken care of. Our day was flawless and I know that was due to all of her organizing. Throughout the planning process, she knew what questions to ask before we did. As a second time MOB, I had lots of ideas and needed help with the organization and execution of a 180 guest, church & reception venues, COVID-timed wedding. Sonia stepped up to the challenge and helped to create a day that was "more beautiful than I imagined", a quote from the Bride. Some of her best qualities were keeping me on task, respectfully communicating with vendors, and maintaining a presence that was reassuring, thoughtful and low profile...that is, she was always at work on our project, while respecting my wish to stay in control. Highly Recommend Sonia!
Hiring Sonia was the best decision we made in planning our wedding! My husband and I got engaged in September of 2021 and got married in January 2022, a short four months later. We hired Sonia for the Partial Wedding Planning package and were extremely pleased with her work.
Sonia is very organized and thoroughly prepared with everything that goes into planning a wedding. She had checklists and timelines at hand to keep everything on track which took much of the pressure off. Sonia has a kind and calm demeanor while still being persistent in “checking things off the list” which was the perfect balance for me!
She was accommodating with my schedule even though I was working full-time. She was professional yet also felt like a good friend that I could be open with in sharing ideas. She also had some awesome suggestions which showed that she really knew what she was doing and had a great eye for décor, theme, and overall timeline flow. She coordinated with all my other vendors until our wedding day and balanced checking in and relaying questions without overwhelming me.
On the wedding day everything worked flawlessly. I can honestly say that I was able to enjoy my wedding because I had full confidence that Sonia would handle every detail and would take care of anything unexpected. Everything flowed smoothly, exactly as intended, showing her great attention to detail and her character in truly going above and beyond to make our wedding day beautiful. I would highly recommend anyone who needs a wedding planner to hire Sonia!

Great experience working with Sonia!
Sonia helped with our month-of planning for our wedding in Napa and was very generous with her time (especially since we had to reschedule our wedding twice due to the pandemic!). Sonia was wonderful to work with
I was hesitant about hiring a wedding coordinator for my small destination wedding, but I am SO happy I did! Sonia was professional, organized and personable. Not only did she provide invaluable support in planning the wedding (keeping in contact and coordinating with all my vendors, building a detailed schedule to share with me and all the vendors, providing advice, and finalizing details), but I also had multiple people come up to me on the wedding day complimenting on how helpful and friendly she was.
She asked permission to take some pictures the day of and I am so glad I said yes because they turned out beautiful. If anyone is debating if they want to hire a wedding coordinator, I definitely recommend it and highly recommend Sonia! -

Absolutely Amazing!!
This is an extremely overdue review. I would 1000% recommend Under the Vine Events to help coordinate a wedding or any other event. Sonia is absolutely amazing in every way.
We hired Sonia as a day of coordinator for our wedding on October 10, 2020. Our wedding plans had to be completely altered due to Covid. We originally planned for a 150 guest wedding at a venue that had to be changed to a 40 guest wedding on a private property in Napa. The whole event was executed seamlessly, and that would not have been able to happen without having Under the Vine Events. Sonia handled a very stressful situation with ease and had great connections with vendors. Our wedding was actually more beautiful and special than we could have ever imagined.
Sonia was there for us every step of the way and is extremely organized. She help with all vendor contact the month before the wedding, had a detailed Google doc with all of the day-of information, helped with creating a rental list, and always there for my thousands of questions.
I would not hesitate to reach out to Sonia. She is a great person and an amazing coordinator. She is so easy to talk to and is very calming during such an exciting time. I was actually sad when my wedding was over because I wouldn’t be talking to her on a regular basis. Thank you again Sonia for all of your help making my wedding dreams come true! -

Sonia came highly recommended from a trusted planner in the Napa region and she did not disappoint. We hired her for month of services and our only regret was we should have found her sooner! We were originally hosting our small wedding at a private residence and when it fell through a month before our wedding Sonia was always calm, positive and jumped in head first to find us a new venue. Day of she again brought her positive energy (something that was very important to my husband and I), ensured the details were taken care while doing so with professionalism and a smile. When you work with someone for nine months, you can’t help but develop a special connection with the person. :) Words cannot express my gratitude for Sonia. She is professional, organized, friendly, and extremely helpful right from the start. When I had a million questions and requests, she was patient and quick to respond. I even had some slight freak-outs throughout the process (mostly as the big day was getting closer), but she was there to listen and help calm me down. I truly felt confident that everything would come together nicely and that everything would run smoothly. We were in great hands, and our wedding turned out to be absolutely perfect and we enjoyed every minute of it.
