Working with Alison and Jonathan was truly the best experience as they are the best people and planners!! Our wedding weekend was the most incredible weekend of our entire lives and exceeded any possible expectation or dream we could have ever had, and that is all due to their extremely hard work and expertise on all things weddings and events. Not only was the weekend perfect, but working with them from the very start - picking our venue and getting the ball rolling - was exactly what someone would want in a planning process. Alison and Jonathan made every decision feel easy, organized, and well thought out, and for people like us who are not always the best with these things, we felt like we couldn’t have been in better hands. Every problem that arose, it always felt like it was all of us vs. the problem - we were on the same team. Alison and Jonathan always felt so extremely trustworthy- everything they said or did was absolutely spot on and it was truly so impressive. It’s rare in life to be able to work with people who are so skilled at what they do and it’s a breath of fresh air to be able to say we did! Hoping we have another event in the future to plan with them soon!! -

I worked with Jonathan & Alison of TKE for my August 2025 wedding and would strongly recommend them to anyone. My priority in looking for a planner was to find someone who would think of everything and stay on top of it so I didn't have to, and that is exactly what Jonathan and Alison provided. Not only were they there to stay ahead of things I didn't even realize needed to be thought about, but they were also great sounding boards and we would often make decisions based on what they thought had worked best in their experience (perfect for anyone who is slightly indecisive, especially with so many decisions to be made)! Then, on the day of, they were there making sure everything ran smoothly and that my husband and I were happy, calm, and well-fed :). They are truly a dynamic duo and you will never regret hiring them for your big day! -

Having TKE as our wedding planners was the best decision we made! Jonathan & Alison are extremely responsive and detail oriented. They provided several resources, made countless recommendations, and ensured every detail was taken care of leading up to our wedding.
Our wedding day could not have gone any better. Everyone says something always goes wrong on your wedding day, but fortunately our day was perfect, and we credit this to Jonathan and Alison. We'd highly recommend their services!! -

Alison and Jonathan are THE team you want by your side as you plan your wedding and on your wedding day. They were the reassuring calm amongst chaos, and we felt that relief almost immediately after we hired them. Their advice and recommendations were invaluable, especially in moments where things got sticky or we were lost and/or overwhelmed with the direction we should take. If given the opportunity, we’d work with them and every single vendor they recommended again. They made sure to call attention to the small details we either forgot or hadn’t even considered. On top of all of that, their kindness and patience in the moments leading up to and throughout our wedding were noticed by our guests and wedding party - who then made such wonderful comments back to us! It’s great when the choice of planners reflects so positively. -

Alison and Jonathan provided the best help and guidance while planning our wedding. They have so much wisdom and experience, turning an overwhelming process into one of ease. They kept us sane and calm, always providing the reassurance and support we needed. Alison and Jonathan are truly the perfect duo, they work together so well and assure that all of our needs were taken care of. They helped us pick amazing vendors and made sure everything was perfect; the day-of - the flowers were breathtaking, the food was next level, the music and dancing was insane, and literally everyone could not stop telling us how unique and special the entire day was.
Overall, Alison and Jonathan were incredible partners, helping us plan our wedding in a calm, efficient and organized way. We could not have asked for better people next to us throughout the process.
We will be recommending Two Kindred Events far and wide to all of our friends who get married in the coming years. -

From the bottom of our hearts, we are SO appreciative of everything Alison and Jonathan did for us over the 15 months we partnered with them for our wedding. Particularly on the day of the wedding, they were around to handle so many little pivots (due to the weather and a number of other unpredictable things), requests from family members, operational things and so many little details we did not have time to cover or think about. They covered it all! Also worth mentioning how well they collaborated with our venue in the Catskills, our DJ, our make-up and hair team and our photographer. They figured it all out so quickly!
We are so grateful to them for helping us carry out the wedding of our dreams! I could not recommend them more! -

If you are considering Two Kindred to help plan your wedding, stop looking and book them immediately! You will not find anyone more responsive, knowledgable or down to earth than Jonathan & Alison.
TKE helped plan my full weekend wedding at Cedar Lakes Estate in December. While never having worked at the venue before, they did not miss a beat. As you can imagine, a multi-day event is a lot to take on and the two of them did it without question and helped with the flawless execution of multiple events.
Throughout the entire process, I could not get over their responsiveness (which is SO important with the many moving pieces of wedding planning & a high strung bride), depth of knowledge of the most nuanced aspects of planning and their ability to keep calm when other vendors were unresponsive or when I changed my mind many times throughout our 1.5 years working together.
I am a bit type-A and have a hard time relinquishing control but J&A worked with me in a way that let me feel in control while also offering their expertise. The entire weekend went perfectly all because of Alison & Jonathan. -

Alison and Jonathan are the best duo you can bring on! We brought them on about 8 weeks before my wedding and my biggest regret is not doing it sooner. They swooped in and saved the day and allowed me to actually enjoy the tail end of planning, knowing they had everything under control. They were positive, prompt and always equipped with any answer we needed. Day of, I was able to have fun and truly feel at ease because I knew they had things covered. The next morning I had the moment of panic thinking I had lost the sleeves to my wedding dress.. but of course Alison was a step ahead of me and had in my hotel room already. We cant thank them enough!!! -

There’s no way we could’ve pulled off our wedding without Two Kindred Events - it’s as simple as that.
With COVID looming overhead, my husband and I had to press go on a date about four months out - leaving us with little time to plan.
Jonathan and Alison guided us through the process with confidence and ease - making vendor selection, scheduling, and liaising with our venue an absolute cinch. Our wedding may have come together in 16 weeks - but ultimately, it looked and felt like it’d been in the works for years.
Alison is warm and reassuring - she’s great at quieting anxieties and staving off frayed nerves. And Jonathan’s unafraid of hard, pragmatic truths, always working to inject as much magic into our wedding as possible… without letting it break the bank. Together, they make the perfect team.
TKE is massively additive across the process, but their true superpower is masterful logistics and programming. Alison and Jonathan know how to think through the flow of the night - how to make sure every minute is accounted for, to cut out ‘dead time’ and confusion, and to wring as much activity and joy out of your day as possible.

Alison and Jonathan are an awesome team. They really take the time to get to know their couples and help guide them in the direction that best suits their wants, needs, and personalities. We hired Jonathan and Alison to do month-of-coordination plus a few extra weeks so that I could have someone to bounce ideas off of as I was putting the finishing touches on planning the wedding.
They are both incredibly quick to respond to all emails, which was extremely important to me as I had a lot of decisions to make in the final weeks of planning.
The day-of was also well planned. I hardly ever had to talk to the venue or vendors as Jonathan and Alison took care of everything. This was especially important as we had to move over to our rain plan at the last minute, and I would've been very stressed if I had to deal with it on my own.
I would recommend them! -

Look no further than Jonathan and Alison. These two exceeded our expectations of what wedding planners could offer. Another postponement wedding here (originally set for Aug ‘20, postponed to Aug ‘21). Clearly a stressful year where they had to navigate this new event planning world, and they did it with such poise and professionalism it’s obvious these two can handle any complex planning. Seasoned and creative - honest and simply just cool people who want you to have the best day. Hire them immediately! -

TKE did a great job with our Brooklyn raw space wedding. We initially planned for a 2020 event and rescheduled to July 2021. Jonathan and Alison helped with all the rescheduling and saved us a lot of time and stress. They are very professional and responsive and led with so much confidence as we navigated ever-changing covid regulations. They are on top of every single small detail and have so much industry knowledge and expertise. The day of the wedding not a single thing looked out of place and we had such a great time because of their hard work. AMAZING - you cannot go wrong!

AMAZING!! Truly the best in the business. Not only are Alison & Jonathan the nicest, coolest people EVER, they are meticulous, organized, and so helpful. Jonathan and Alison were so enormously helpful as our wedding coordinators! They worked with us for the six weeks up to and including the wedding day at Blue Hill at Stone Barns. We considered ourselves very hands-on through our planning process, but there were dozens of details that the TK team helped with that we could not have foreseen—informing vendors of other vendors’ plan changes, ferrying supplies, being there to course correct when the inevitable last-minute change happens. They kept in super close touch with us throughout via phone, email, and video chat, and were always extremely prompt, responsive, and friendly. On the wedding day, they served invaluable functions, like photography direction, helping the band set up, cueing the ceremony, outfit adjustments, and end-of-night supplies gathering—all in a gentle and non-obtrusive way that let us relax and enjoy the moments that made up the day. Our wedding had some moderately non-traditional elements, and J&A were incredibly instrumental in getting our vision made into a reality that we were able to experience fully and enjoy completely! -

Jonathan and Alison are amazing wedding planners. We hired them for mostly month of planning, with some additional help leading up to the wedding. They probably saved us thousands of dollars and hours of time in recommendations for vendors alone. When they stepped in to take over communications with the vendors, they did it seamlessly. I am a type A personality and felt totally calm and taken care of by TK Events. They are lovely people, and on the day of the wedding I did not spend a minute of time worry about anything - they had everything covered. Got many compliments about them from our wedding party, and will add that when one of our guests had an anaphylactic allergic reaction, Jonathan and Alison swooped in and helped her get medical attention so quickly. They are really awesome - from day 1 until the day of the wedding. Can't recommend them enough. -

Jonathan from Two Kindred Events was one of the most integral vendors of our wedding. He was incredibly organized and didn't leave anything up to chance. We had him for the month of our wedding and helped us coordinate with other vendors throughout the month and day of. Our guests also noticed how hospitable Jonathan was during the Big Day. Our money was well spent with Two Kindred Events and would recommend them to anyone planning a wedding. -

We can’t imagine pulling this wedding off without Two Kindred Event Planners!!! We had been trying to lock in our day with Alison and Jonathan for almost a year before our wedding. We were interested in the month of planning package but they only accept those contracts six-months before the event. We reached out every month leading up to the six-month mark to make sure our day was still available. Alison responded to each of my inquiries consistently and pleasantly. When the time arrived we were really excited that they were still available to work with us. We knew we were going to need help the day of the wedding but because one of us had to move cross-country for a gig the month before the wedding, we didn’t know how invaluable these two would become for our special day. They were always responsive. They managed our 15 plus vendors with ease. They communicated throughout the entire process but they kept us away from the drama. They made our wedding look easy, and it wasn’t. Everything about our day was seamless and smooth from our perspective. They made sure to highlight all of the details that were important to us. Needless to say we would highly recommend them for anybody’s wedding. Part of the appeal is that there are two of them and they pay such close attention to detail that no “t” is left uncrossed and no “i” un-dotted. They’re young, professional, cool, calm and collected, and they go way above and beyond. We appreciated their experience and input. They do this all the time. Our plan is to only do this once. When we got engaged, we knew we wanted to hire a planner for partial planning services (i.e. managing our vendors, organization, etc. plus month of services) to keep us organized and share great ideas. After calls with several companies, we decided to go with TKE. Alison and Jonathan are a great team and throughout the year that we worked with them, answered all of our many calls and emails within the same day, if not the same hour, and shared many helpful resources along the way.
They were also key in helping us pick our vendors. Rather than spending hours and hours browsing through vendors online, we told them our budget, style and what we were looking for, and sent us 3-5 vendors that were spot on every time. It made putting our wedding team together a breeze!
On the day of our wedding, my husband and I didn't have to worry about a thing. We really got to enjoy the day without the stresses of "hosting", and Alison and Jonathan moved everything along smoothly and flexibly. If there was an issue, we either didn't know about it or they took care of it immediately. We're so happy we hired them! -

Alison and Jonathan are amazing and were an absolutely invaluable help in planning our wedding and on the day-of. We hired them after trying (and struggling) to get started ourselves and it was the best decision we could have made. There were a couple little things that happened the day of the wedding that changed what we had originally discussed and they made the necessary decisions making things better than originally planned (without freaking me out)! I would recommend them to any one that is thinking of hiring an event planner for your big day! -

Vanessa Sent on 08/20/2018Can’t speak highly enough of Mr. Jonathan Stamper-Halpin!! We were married at Wythe Hotel in BK and he was our day-of coordinator. Upon signing him, I knew I was in good hands as the hotel event staff immediately recognized and said they were excited and eager to collaborate with him and Two Kindred Events once again.
Jonathan offered excellent advice and was able to settle ideas/decisions that my husband and I weren’t in agreement of. He explained wedding traditions and provided examples of scenarios and setups similar to ours. We had a very high guest count which would challenge the normal layout of a family style dinner at the Wythe, but Jonathan’s catering background put us in good hands, as he has a thorough understanding of what works best for the flow of events.
Leading up to our big day, we endured a death in the family. Naturally, this threw a curveball our way. Jonathan was sensitive and compassionate. He eased the difficult situation, stayed on top of the crucial last minute changes to our setup and vendor invoices, along with our shifting guest list affected by the tragedy. He did whatever he could to help given the solemn circumstances.
That aside, our wedding day turned out amazingly. Jonathan facilitated everything and as a bride I felt totally secure and taken care of. He arranged for my husband and I to be at ease, and I was so happy (and surprised) to have gotten as much downtime as I did on my wedding day. I even ripped the slit in my dress just minutes before the ceremony and within seconds Jonathan magically appeared with sewing kit in hand.
Post-wedding, following up with my vendors, each one mentioned how professional and easy to work with Jonathan was, involving the day-of timeline as well as organizing their final contracts/payments.
Thank you Jonathan for your great energy, attitude and capabilities. Your white glove handling and overall approach to your job made our special day everything that it was supposed to be. -

They guided our ideas and were consistently able to help us keep our planning realistic while still honoring the parts that felt authentic to us. Jonathan and Alison provided us with very helpful google spreadsheets and tools that kept our budget, RSVPs, deadlines, and other details clear and easy to follow. We had an extremely DIY wedding, with LOTS of details to track and quantities to order ourselves. TKE made sure we were not in doubt, and had the information we needed. They always came through for us during a freak-out, and provided solutions at every turn when we most needed them. The day of our wedding, they made sure that everything flowed flawlessly. It was truly the best day of our lives, and we couldn’t have done it without Alison and Jonathan!
