  Best day ever!

  Our wedding reception went as best as we could’ve imagined thanks to all of the staff at Turtleback! We had a large amount of people, and they accommodated us very well. The food was great and service was wonderful. And we can’t forget to mention how absolutely stunning the venue is - both inside and outside!

  Great wedding venue!

  Turtleback exceeded my expectations when hosting our larger wedding (250 guests). From the planning process, the set up and tear down, to the rehearsal dinner and wedding day itself. The staff went above and beyond to make sure that our day was perfect in every way. On the days leading up to our wedding day, they did all of the set up and tear down including between the ceremony and dinner. We received many compliments on how fast the buffet lines went and how wonderful the food was. The bartenders were very attentive and made sure every guest was served in a timely manner.   The wedding prep was great with frequent and timely communication. Their wait staff the night of the event was good however I questioned the age of the individuals they were relying on to be professional, efficient, and knowledgeable about the reception (under 16?). The food was amazing, all of our guest raved about the food, best Chef ever!

  As a long time resident of Rice Lake, I always knew my wedding reception would be at Turtleback. My family has worked with and for this location many times and were excited to collaberate with them on my wedding. The reception was great. I was unaware of any major issues or problems, the food was good and the vendor fit and accomodated all of our guests. However, there were some downsides to our experience. Leading up to my wedding, the "event planner" took a lot of personal time off due to illness.   As a long time resident of Rice Lake, I always knew my wedding reception would be at Turtleback. My family has worked with and for this location many times and were excited to collaberate with them on my wedding. The reception was great. I was unaware of any major issues or problems, the food was good and the vendor fit and accomodated all of our guests. However, there were some downsides to our experience. Leading up to my wedding, the "event planner" took a lot of personal time off due to illness. I understand her need to be absent, but Turtleback had no one qualified or knowledgable enough to fill her place. It was difficult to get any straight or consistant answers on pricing, decorating, time in the space, etc. On the day before the wedding, we were working with the Assistant Manager of the Proshop on details, who didn't really know what he was talking about. Also, we were somewhat lead astray in terms of payment. Upon signing the contract with this business, we were told that a 18-20% service gratuitiy would be added to our bill. We were under the impression this money woudl go to servers and bartenders, only to learn with week of the wedding if we wanted to tip these service people we would have to the night of the reception out of pocket as the "service gratituity" went straight to "the house." Basically we were charged 18-20% more than our contract stated.
  
  I had a beatiful and smooth reception, but preparing for it was somewhat frustrating at times...
