  Fantastic photographer who works hard to make you feel authentic

  We had the pleasure of having Grace photograph five events over the course of our covid wedding saga. Not only is just a wonderful human outside of her work, but she is also an incredible photographer. She adapted quickly to our more laid back approach to photos and we absolutely love all of the moments she captured. She also captured so many beautiful candid moments of our guests that many of hanging in their own homes. I love that she not just captures the couple's love but also the joy of the entire event. If you have the chance to work with Grace you should.

  Heirloom photos with amazing service

  Grace is an amazing photographer, inspiring creator, and wonderful person. Over the past few years, I've had the privilege to work with Grace at multiple weddings. Her artistry is only matched by her empathy. Grace makes people feel seen, known, and cared for and the photos she takes make perfect heirlooms.

  The Absolute Best

  I'll make this easy: HIRE GRACE! As a wedding planner, I've worked with dozens of amazing photographers. For my own wedding, I knew it could only be her. Grace is the total package and so incredibly talented. She captures little, candid moments and big photo ops equally well, in any kind of venue with any kind of light. I love her personality and communication style because she is cool, confident and reassuring even in tough situations. Grace is the kind of person you want with you all day, and by the time you get to the wedding day you feel entirely at ease knowing that she's a complete pro. She put so much thought and care into photographing my wedding, just like I've seen her do for other couples. Looking forward to working with her much more in the coming years! Thank you, Grace!

  So thrilled with True Grace!

  Before we even made a decision about our photographer, Grace spent a significant time on the phone with me asking about our life and our vision for the big day. She made me feel so at ease instantly, so choosing her was a no-brainer, and we are so happy we did! Grace was our photographer for both our engagement session and our wedding. We are not very comfortable around cameras, but her relaxed, genuine, positive demeanor was so reassuring. She never made us feel like we were a block of time in her schedule- she spent as long as she needed to make sure everything was just right. She perfectly captured every aspect of our vision, from cozy home pictures to classic Lincoln Park, the Chicago riverwalk to our venue to Lurie gardens and the iconic Wrigley building. She even managed to get some priceless photos of our crazy dog! We are so incredibly grateful for our experience with Grace already, and we don't even have all our wedding day photos back! We can't wait to see the rest!

  Timeless Character

  Grace has now been with me through multiple transitions in my life. When I was just dating my boyfriend, she photographed my immediate family. When that boyfriend became my fiancée, she was there to shoot our engagement session and then our wedding. More recently, she captured our infant son’s early days as we navigate becoming parents. There aren’t enough words to describe the precious images she’s captured from my life. I am forever grateful to have invested in her talent and to know her as a friend. Her talent is more than what she captures form her lens, she is one of the good ones.

  Grace’s positive and genuine soul is contagious to all— every time we had an encounter with her during our wedding planning process, we left in the best mood about our client relationship and were eager to work with her for our wedding. Fast forward to the wedding, Grace was incredible. She listened to our wants and made it happen..every single time. We are very camera shy but Grace made us feel comfortable— she worked really well with our videographer as well whom she met that same day.
  
  We are so completely blown away with our wedding gallery— she delivers ultimate quality. The photos are beautiful and timeless. Her efficiency, professionalism and attention to detail are just the cherry on top when working with Grace. Her creativity is transparent-- when walking into new settings, she treats them like a blank canvas and imagines up beautiful photography. I originally thought I would be so fatigued on the wedding day from posing but that was no where near the case. She captures moments and sprinkles in all the important portraits from your wedding day. I was able to enjoy the day and have so many amazing “in the moment” photos that I will cherish for years to come.
  
  If you decide to work with Grace, you will be hiring an ultimate story teller who invests in you and your significant other. I know I will cross paths with Grace again-- her talent is undeniable and she was a treasure to work with.

  Grace is an amazing photographer and we extremely happy with our photos and our experience. Grace shot our engagement photos downtown Chicago. My fiance and I were a little nervous as we have never had professional photos taken before but Grace put us at ease. She made us feel comfortable and relaxed in front of the camera, we didn’t feel too poesy or stiff. She also researched and scoped out the areas that were in walking distance. This was very helpful as we trusted her eye to know what would look best and this helped not wasting any time trying to decide where to go. Grace provided us with quality photographs, we love how our photos truly look like us…at our best. Grace has an eye for natural, unobtrusive, fun, lifestyle photos that captures true emotion. Grace, without a doubt, is a very talented photographer. Hiring her was the best wedding planning decision I have made. She will be go to photographer for moment we will want to capture in the future.

  I would give True Grace Photography more stars if I could! Grace was wonderful to work with. She had such a calming effect amongst the chaos of a wedding, and she made our day feel really special. Not to mention the pictures she took turned out BEAUTIFUL! If you are in need of a photographer for a special event, look no further.

She is the most intentional, real, genuine, person who takes extra care in getting to know her clients and their vision for their special day. Grace is flexible and adaptable when it comes to scheduling meetings and during photo shoots whether new ideas emerge or when we have to improvise due to weather. Grace is an expert when it comes to wedding day tips, the timeline, and truly knows how to turn a vision into a reality. She gave us great advice and helped with planning and organizing our day. Finally, Grace is an extremely talented artist! She beautifully orchestrated and lead our group into the most beautiful wedding photos we’ve ever seen. She’s got a gift finding the most candid, real, authentic, emotional moments, and capturing them in all shots.   Grace is AMAZING! I love her as a person and a photographer. She was beyond accommodating of our requests and never once made me feel needy for everything I wanted in a photographer. We also had our engagement photos done with her and we received SO many compliments. It was really important that our dog was a part of the engagement shoot and Grace couldn't have been better with working with her! She was so patient and even was talking to her to get her to look at the camera. It was SO cute!
  
  Grace has a way with her brides and grooms to make them feel so special and like they are supermodels. I love how she just goes with the flow and is up for recommendations too! We even forgot she was there at one point because she stays out of the way and captures such great candid moments. Such a wonderful professional who I would STRONGLY recommend you book immediately!!!   I don't know where to begin as I share our experience working with Grace from TrueGracePhotography! Grace is a personable, kind, and talented photographer. She also has significant experience in wedding photography which was clear as she helped us begin the planning process from day one. Grace takes the time to get to know her clients well in order to capture the moments and people that are most important to them. She is also incredibly diligent and met with us on two separate occasions prior to the wedding to go over innumerable details. Furthermore, it was Grace who helped me finalize our timeline, and she gave us some excellent input that made our wedding day so much more enjoyable!
  Not only was she wonderful to work with prior to the wedding, but the day of the wedding she was fantastic to have at our side. Her easygoing and calm personality made the wedding photos really enjoyable for everyone. My husband and I got married about a month ago, and we have already received sneak peak photos from the wedding that are BREATHTAKING! Grace's work is simply gorgeous... To have her photograph our wedding was a great privilege. We truly enjoyed every minute of working with Grace and would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone looking for a top-notch photographer.

  Working with Grace was a complete dream! Not only was she organized and professional from the start, but she brought warmth and care to every interaction. During a time when things are bound to be stressful she was a bright spot in my day and in all our vendor interactions. During our initial meeting she made a point to learn about about us as a couple and what we wanted to capture on our wedding day and we talked about her style, which was perfect for what we were looking for. She has an artistic eye but also captures details and all the special moments that aren't planned or posed.
  
  At the planning meeting before the wedding Grace started with checking in personally - it was a hectic time, so that time to care meant a lot. She also went over the details she needed and despite all her planning and our extensive list, she didn't flinch (at least to us :) the day of when the time we were allotted for pictures at the church went from indefinite to 35 minutes (!!)
  Grace was so sweet with everyone involved with the wedding - our little flower girl and ring bearer included. We were all impressed how she kept the pair of 4-year-olds engaged and focused, and even got our flower girl to temporarily ditch her purple jacket (in January!) to capture a few of the whole wedding party.
  
  We were so happy with our final product, Grace's work speaks for itself, but working with Grace was like working with a friend - the experience overall made this the best choice we could have made. She will go above and beyond to make your experience and your day everything you want. We would recommend Grace to anyone and will absolutely be using her again in the future!

  I wanted to give a huge shout out to Grace who did my boudior shoot! She is SO talented! I am definitely not one to be overly confident with my body, but she makes you feel like a total bombshell! She is very comfortable and easy to work with (even when in lingerie) and will make sure to pose you in the most flattering angles. She's such treat to work with! If you're debating a Boudior shoot, just do it already! :)

  Grace was a dream to work with! I found Grace via Instagram, took the chance on hiring her, and am so thrilled we did! My husband and I are so thrilled on Grace's photography! She captured our wedding exactly how we want to remember it.   Grace was a dream to work with! I found Grace via Instagram, took the chance on hiring her, and am so thrilled we did! My husband and I are so thrilled on Grace's photography! She captured our wedding exactly how we want to remember it.   Not only was Grace was a pleasure to work with, but--most importantly--we also love how our photos turned out! My husband and I weren't living in the same city prior to our wedding, and Grace was super accommodating in squeezing our engagement photos and planning session into our busy and somewhat inflexible schedules. At the planning meeting, Grace was a good listener--she made the most of the time we had together and made sure we had all the details nailed down, but in a way that wasn't at all rushed, despite our (self-induced) tight timeline. Our engagement photos turned out beautifully, and I felt like Grace had really listened to what I said about wanting them to be natural and fun. On the wedding day, Grace and her assistant were amazing--they were organized, fun, calm (!), and great at managing my family and the wedding party. Grace has a very gentle way of giving direction where it's needed, but also stepping back when it's not needed--several of my guests commented on this rare skill. Grace also did a great job of capturing the everyday beauty around us. For example, my bridesmaids and I got dressed in my childhood home. We hadn't planned on taking any pictures outside my house, but Grace saw a setting she could work with in the ivy growing up the bricks. Ultimately, Grace turned an everyday reality that I took for granted into something special--and the pictures are especially meaningful to me because they capture not only my wedding day, but also the home I grew up in. At the wedding and during the reception, Grace also managed to capture a number of sweet and important moments between my husband and me, and the the people we care about most. Thanks to Grace, my husband and I--and our families--ended up with a ton of beautiful pictures that will help us relive this day for years to come!

  Picking a photographer was such a stressful task. We had a particular budget in mind and wanted 2 photographers for our ceremony. Although Grace was initially a bit over our budget it was worth every penny. We loved working with Grace! She was so nice, answered emails quickly, was so professional and attentive. It was a pleasure to spend our wedding day with her! The photos were stunning and I would highly recommend her to any bride/groom!

  We are basically obsessed with Grace! She was the second shooter for our wedding and we fell in love with her. Since our wedding she did an anniversary photoshoot for us that was seriously so great!

  UPDATE: It’s been over 4 years since my wedding, and I’ve watched True Grace Photography explode with success. Yet, when we recently met with Grace to do family photos with our first child, it was as if no time had passed. Despite how massive her star has grown, Grace continues to be the most humble, kind, and warm person. It’s this unique feeling of coziness—that when you’re in her orbit, you know you are well taken care of. I don’t need to talk about how exceptionally beautiful the photos are; those clearly speak for themselves. But please know, when you work with Grace, you make a friend, you invest in an amazing small business, and you support such a good human being.
  
  ORIGINAL REVIEW: Grace and her assistant Rachel were EXCELLENT photographers, and the best decision we made for our wedding day! They were incredibly organized but also incredibly fluid with their approach. Grace made sure to touch base with us before our wedding day to make sure we got our shot list organized, but then was very easygoing the day of with any changes or time limits. She also was able to adjust for natural elements, and she had a creative eye that allowed for fun shots. Our wedding party also commented that Grace and Rachel were very easygoing and nice, which was much appreciated. For anyone who has ever stood up in a wedding, that is key; the last thing you want is a photographer acting grumpy and barking at the wedding party. Meeting Grace, you can tell how much she loves what she does, and that love translates into her work and her approach. You will NOT regret choosing True Grace Photography!

She was very personable, able to work well with the bridal party, family, and guests, and she made me feel comfortable and beautiful all day.
