The perfect hair and makeup

I don't have enough words to describe how amazing Jenn is to work with. A friend hired her for her wedding 6 years ago, and when it came to my wedding, she was the only person I wanted. She is so sweet and so kind, and her work is outstanding. Both mom's were really nervous about makeup since they don't wear it normally, and Jenn made it look so naturally and beautiful, they couldn't be happier. All 5 bridesmaids were ecstatic with their makeup, and mine couldn't be more perfect. She kept it natural but still added a bit of pop I wanted for my eyes. Plus she uses great products that held the entire time through the hot summer day and me crying the entire ceremony. All of our hair came out exactly like the pictures we shared with our hair stylist and she was so accommodating. I cannot recommend Jenn and her team enough!!!

Amazing, amazing, amazing!!

Jen made me look like a bombshell! My makeup was perfect for my wedding day. Not only did I look amazing but we also finished ahead of schedule! My makeup and hair stayed the entire night and looked so great in pictures. Hire Jen immediately!

I am so happy to write this review for True Grace Makeup. If you are reading this you are likely considering hiring a hair and/or makeup artist for a special event. I hope this review helps you decide to hire True Grace Makeup- you will be thrilled with the result!

One of the best decisions made for our wedding was hiring Jen for our event. Jen is professional, experienced, reliable and truly excellent at her craft. A few months prior to the wedding she did a dry run of hair/makeup and I was thrilled with the look she created. On the day of the wedding she did my hair/makeup and makeup for my wife, mother and a friend. She managed all of it expertly. Not only did we all look beautiful, but we looked natural, timeless, elegant and classic.

Beyond her technical experience and experience with creating beauty, Jen has a characteristic that was really valuable to us on our wedding day. She is a bubbly, fun person who puts people and ease. Given how much time you will likely spend with a makeup/hair professional on your wedding day, spending it with someone who is both professional and fun is important. Jen is able to connect with any client because she is authentic and really loves what she does.

I will also add that my bride and I are a gay couple. Jen was wonderful with us – she genuinely celebrated and affirmed our marriage which is not something all vendors do with sincerity.

I recommend her without reservation!

Did an amazing job

Jennifer at True Grace Beauty was absolutely phenomenal for my wedding! Due to my hair/makeup person cancelling a month before the wedding, I was in a pinch and was referred to Jennifer who had availability. We had a phone conversation and hit it off! She did the bride's makeup along with 4 other family/bridesmaids and her prices are super reasonable. She's excellent with communication, super easy to get along with and made you feel really comfortable. Our makeup was beautiful and flawless. I highly recommend her!

so much fun

Jen and Jenna came to our Vermont inn to do hair and makeup for myself, 6 bridesmaids, and moms. They absolutely nailed it. Not only did they make us all look beautiful, they are so enjoyable to work with. Thank you so much for spending the day making us pretty! We love you!

Felt like a princess!

Jennifer was amazing to work with. I want to her studio in order to have a trial and she was very knowledgeable about her products and she personally tests them all to withstand sweat and smears. She was so sweet and made me feel so comfortable with the whole process (since I typically wear very little makeup). She kept my look simple but fabulous. She traveled to my parents house where all us girls were getting ready and got us all together right on time.

Loved both Jen and Jenna.

Jen from True Grace was makeup was truly amazing. I felt like her best friend from the moment we met. Her makeup was light and natural and stayed on all night. We got so many compliments through out the night on how well our hair and makeup held up and how beautiful we looked!! Jenna our hair girl was also amazing as well as, my hair held up all night and I it was beautiful!

Wonderful Make-up Artist

Jen McCarthy Norton did make-up for my daughter's wedding party this past weekend. She did a truly amazing job. She is so nice and easy to work with. Her knowledge of skin types, tones, cosmetic choices and achieving different looks is incredible and very impressive. We would highly recommend her.

Jenn & Jenna are the Beauty Dream Team!

True Grace Jennifer McCarthy Norton and Jenna were a phenomenal team who truly do amazing work. My wife and I were very happy with their work and their expertise on our wedding this past September. With 2 brides to beautify and 2 bridal parties they truly made us all feel comfortable, listened to and beautiful. These woman are SO fun, hilarious, warm, inviting, genuine and creative artistic geniuses. I cannot thank them enough for all of their reassurance and knowledge during the whole process. We told Jennifer in our first conversation that neither one of us typically wears a lot of makeup and wanted to look natural but also with some extra for our day. Jennifer knew the exact right amount to highlight your features without overdoing it and listens to what you want!
I highly recommend True Grace for your wedding day, they are experts with passion and share a true love for their work and their clients!

Best experience ever it was like working with 3 best friends!

Working with Jen, Jenna and Molly was truly one of the best things on our big day! It was like I had 3 more best friends in the room with us getting ready! Jen was fantastic during the planning phase, ALWAYS answering my calls and questions and with each call we ended up laughing a ton! With my first call with Jen I immediately felt a connection and knew she would be the best addition to the day! The hair and makeup trial was so fun with Jen and Jenna and Jenna was very flexible and worked with me on a couple style variations until I was completely satisfied. We all looked beyond gorgeous and the compliments we received were countless. The makeup was flawless and lasted all night! True Grace Makeup is amazing!

Jen and Jenna are THE BEST

I hired True Grace for our wedding on 12/14, and I could not have made a better choice! These girls are a well oiled machine, and they do a fantastic job. I knew from talking to Jen on the phone that I loved her already... meeting her in person for the trial just sealed the deal. Kind, enthusiastic, and NAILED our vision!

I had first met Jennifer through the hair artist (who we had known personally) I chose for my wedding. The hair stylist couldn't say more wonderful things about Jennifer and her beautiful make-up skills and she was totally right!!! Jennifer is not only kind, enthusiastic, warm, and makes you feel immediately comfortable, but it is clear upon meeting and working with her how knowledgeable she is in this field. In the hair trial, she always explained what she was doing while she did it and was so open to feedback throughout, which made me feel comfortable in asking to adjust certain things to help give a better picture of the look I wanted on the wedding day. Her style is definitely more of a natural look, which I appreciated because I tend to not wear too much make up on a daily basis. On the other hand, when I asked to to add a bit more, she was totally able to take my feedback and integrate it into what she did on our wedding day. She did an absolutely fantastic job working with me and my 9 bridesmaids and mothers of bride and groom; we all truly felt that she had individualized and listened to what we wanted. We all felt beautiful, which as a bride, was exactly what I wanted. I would recommend Jennifer to anyone!!!

Absolutely stunning!

I hired True Grace for hair and makeup services for my wedding on 9/8/18. From the beginning, Jennifer was a dream to work with. She is so friendly and bubbly she reminded me about the excitement of a wedding in the midst of the stress of planning! She was great about communication and timelines for the girls.
On the wedding day, we were able to stick to a schedule. Every single girl looked absolutely gorgeous. They did such an amazing job with hair and makeup. I felt so beautiful on my wedding day, and they helped get me there. They were also so much fun to hang with!

Where do I start with Ms. Jennifer McCarthy?! I may not be a make up guru but I am certainly someone who has been getting their make up professionally done for over 14 years. I have been in the modeling industry for a good part of my life. I have worked with so many talented artists but when it was time for me to get married; I knew exactly who I wanted. JEN MCCARTHY! Jen has done my face for many modeling projects and I knew her technique and talent would be the best fit on the biggest day of my life. I know I am one of the few in life to get their make up done professionally quite often and what I can say is that; for the biggest day of my life I wouldn't have anyone else touching my face. Only Jen! She is extremely flexible and worked with the vision I had for my glam. She really brings out someone's inner beauty. My girls were over the moon happy with how they looked as well. They commented for many days on how amazing they felt the day of my wedding. Not to mention, they all knew I would only have THE best working on their glam at my wedding. On top of the pure talent Jen brings to the table....her personality lights up a room!

Her partner in crime, Chris Burt, does the hair and he was very accommodating with my picky vision. Both Jen and Chris put forth a ton of effort and extra hours in making me happy; whether it be early morning calls or offering to sift through pictures of wedding day looks to pick the perfect one. I was first introduced to True Grace Makeup when Jen did the makeup for a wedding I was in. I was so impressed with the way she made me look and feel that I asked her to do my makeup for my son's wedding.in 2016. When my daughter got married this past November, we knew True Grace Makeup was our go-to not only for both my daughter and I, me, but also for her 10 bridesmaids. We had a tight timeline and Jen and an associate had it down to a science. Everyone's makeup was flawless and fabulous! True Grace Makeup is the ultimate in quality, value and service!

Jen did my makeup for my wedding shower and wedding almost 5 years ago. Friends still comment on how natural & pretty I looked, which was important to me because I still wanted to look like me and not be hiding behind a ton of makeup.
Jen is very responsive and super friendly. She definitely puts me at ease and makes me feel comfortable.
I recently contacted her to see if she could do my makeup for my upcoming maternity session. She was not available, but she immediately recommended someone else who uses the same products and has a very similar style. So, she’s also very accommodating and helpful!
I highly recommend her!

Jen and Chris are such an amazing team!! Not only did they do exactly what my family/friends and I wanted with hair and make up, but they are SO fun and energetic! They make you laugh the entire morning while getting ready, which is exactly what a nervous or anxious bride needs to relax and enjoy the day. We all gave them pictures of what we wanted for hair and make up and they knew exactly what to do. I did not hesitate to ask them to change one minor detail of make up or hair because they are more than happy to do so and only want you to be completely satisfied. My first phone call with Jen lasted 45 minutes. It’s not like she had nothing better to do, she just has a way of making you feel like your wedding is the only one. That connection never changed throughout the entire process. She was not only available and accessible, but also encouraged communication whenever I needed it, even when I felt crazy for changing my mind. (For those of you getting married, there may come a time when the stress of wedding planning makes you feel like somebody you can’t even recognize. It happened to me, not in a Bridezilla sense, but showed itself in my inability to settle on a hairstyle - at first I wanted it up, no pieces, so I wouldn’t have to worry about it, then maybe a few pieces to make it softer, which evolved into wearing my hair down. Crazy, right? Super out of character.) Anyway, I couldn’t give you a good explanation for why I was all over the place, other than I wanted to make sure I felt like myself on my day… my husband did too. And this is where Jen and Chris excel. They made me feel like a) I wasn’t crazy, and b) between the hair and makeup, they transformed me into a natural, more beautiful me. AND THEY DID IT ON TIME! You don’t have to worry about a thing!

Beyond that, their energy, positivity and hilarity were the perfect way to start the day. My girls all loved them! It’s hard not to… what you see is what you get. They’re genuine, down to Earth people, who just want you to feel stunning on your wedding day. (And if you spit your mimosa out from laughing too hard, oh well!)

True Grace did makeup and hair for my wedding party and me on my wedding day. Jen helped set up a timeline so that everyone’s hair and makeup were done promptly and before our photographer arrived. Both Jen and Chris did a phenomenal job. I have never felt as beautiful as I did on my wedding day and it was due to Jen’s and Chris’s stellar work. I should also mention that my makeup and hair lasted all night long, despite the fact that we went on a drive in a convertible with the top down! My wedding party and mother were also thrilled with their hair and makeup. Jen and Chris were amazing to work with, too. They both have incredible personalities and kept everyone entertained and laughing on what could have been a stressful and hectic morning. I wish I could keep them in my pocket so that I would always look and feel as fabulous as the day of my wedding.

Jen and her team were phenomenal! I cannot say enough about her and her team as professionals- their work was just stunning of myself, the moms, flower girls, and all of my bridesmaids- but they are just wonderful people and so fun to be around. They showed up on time, ready to make us beautiful, had each persons invoice ready to go so no one was confused, and everyone loved their final look! They are a well oiled machine so we didn't have to start getting ready super early for my early afternoon ceremony. From the first time I talked with Jen I knew I had to book her. Words cant express how amazing and talented Jennifer and Chris are! From the first phone call I had with Jen not only did I know I wanted her and only her to do my hair and makeup but that we would also become friends through this new journey. Jen and Chris were very warm and welcoming the day I first met them at my trial. I showed them some inspirational pictures off my 10,000 Pinterest wedding board. Needless to say the results were stunning! In addition, I happened to set up the trial the same day as my engagement photoshoot. Before leaving the salon, Jen touched up my make up while Chris re-curled my hair. When I received my engagement proofs I knew then that I made the best decision to go with Truce Grace Makeup for my wedding. Two weeks before my wedding I received a phone call from Jen to finalize some minor day- of details. When I hung up the phone, I wondered if I spoke to my makeup artist or a long time girlfriend. The day of the wedding was a blur. Both of them were so accommodating to scheduling in unexpected family who saw their work and wanted to look glamorous as well! Periodically Chris would check in with me to make sure I was ok. "Do you need anything bride?" or he would turn up the music and start dancing. He is extremely personable and connected with each one of girls. Chris was a great asset to my day and helped keep my nerves in check! I felt I had a lot of imperfections with my dress and self image leading up to the day of my wedding. But after Jen and Chris did their thing...I felt like I belonged in a magazine. I remember looking in the mirror while getting dressed with my MOH and mom. I started to cry and said "I have never felt or looked this beautiful in my entire life." I owe this memory and feeling to True Grace Makeup. They are talented and caring individuals who care about the wants/needs of their customers.

Advise to a couple looking to book this vendor: Book True Grace Hair and Makeup. Aside from having great personalities and being extremely flexible, they do fantastic work. Everyone in my bridal party looked absolutely fantastic and my mother and mother in law and grandmother in law looked fantastic as well. They worked within our extremely time crunched timeline and Chris even became "that guy" to make sure all my bridesmaids would be dressed and ready within a timely fashion so I could just relax and enjoy my champagne. Jen did a fantastic job on everyones makeup! Even my best friend who hates wearing makeup felt light and great about her look!! Jenny and Chris are amazing to work with! They make sure that you are 100% confortable with your hair and makeup and that your opinion is heard. Jenny is great to work with during the planning process and responds very quickly. She provides many ideas on when and where to get ready, to make sure the "getting ready" part of the day is flawless. I am someone who has never worn makeup, so wedding makeup was a big anxiety for me. I wanted to look as natural as possible. I expressed this concern to Jenny and she was very receptive and said that would be no problem. She was absolutely right! She explained everything she was doing while applying the makeup, and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. Everyone loved both my hair and makeup up on my wedding day. On top of all of this, Jenny and Chris are absolutely hilarious and a blast to get ready with. It is clear that they have been working together for years. They made our morning 10x more fun. Jennifer has been amazing since day we asked her to do make up for our daughter's wedding. Any and all questions we had she answered within hours. She has also been very accommodating to needs of some of the girls in the wedding. We had our trial run and it was a great experience, we can't wait to see our daughter on her wedding day. . I have had the pleasure of having Jen do my make up for 2 other weddings where I was a bridesmaid and this time I was the bride. She brings such an amazing and fun energy to your day along with the most amazing looks. She is professional, informative, and extremely good at making sure you look your best on your wedding day. We were married in September this year, I thought I would be gifted with a beautiful 70 something degree day and it was in a closed and semi open place with no a/c but on a lake where I thought would provide a beautiful breeze. Well we had the last extremely humid days of the year but I still danced my butt off. Even after all the sweating and dancing when we went back to the hotel room and end our night with night caps at the hotel bar, the pictures from that still show my make up in tack as if it was just done 10 minutes ago. Working with Jennifer was absolutely delightful! After seeing her beautiful photos that were elegant and showed a clear sense of design style and talent, I arranged to meet with her for a trial. My makeup was done flawlessly and I looked exactly how I envisioned looking for my wedding day - I had to book her!
Communicating with Jenn up until my wedding day was a breeze. It was one less thing to have to worry about, knowing that at least my makeup would look flawless! She is worth every penny and more.
All of my bridesmaids and family who had their looks completed by Jenn were extremely pleased by her- they loved her and also loved how she made them look! It wasn't just me who was blown away! Having excellent, professionally done makeup is something I recommend for every bride, and if I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't have anyone but Jenn be there on my big day! My ONLY regret is living out of the state, so I can't see Jenn more often!

From the very beginning I absolutely loved Jennifer & Molly. Jennifer was booked for my wedding date, but Molly was there to make everyone look stunning on the day of. Jennifer handled the contract part & put me in touch with Molly who is part of her team. She is so customer oriented and extremely responsive. Molly drove 1 hour to do the trial for me and met us at the hotel the morning of the wedding; everything was perfect. She has only the best makeup brands, all water proof, and a talented eye that can only be innate in an artist! She was so funny, professional, and it was evident she just loves what she does. I had a very diverse bridal party who all had very different styles and a VERY picky mom. Molly kept us on schedule throughout and I never had to worry or even think about anything. Everyone felt absolutely gorgeous. Most of all, I felt the most beautiful I ever had in my entire life. I looked flawless. It was the first (second, including trial) time in my life I ever liked my makeup more than what I can do for myself and the best part was I still looked like myself. I wish I could have her do my makeup everyday! Seriously look no further than Jennifer & Molly to take care of you on your wedding day!! She gave me touch up lipstick & mascara to take with me to venue also but I didn't even need it because my makeup didn't budge on a hot august night where I was crying at all. There aren't enough amazing things to say about Jen and Chris. I found Jen about a year and a half ago when she did my makeup for a friends wedding and I was so blown away with her at the time that I grabbed her number before she left. As soon as we had a wedding date, I called her to book her. She's got a great personality and made the planning process so easy and fun. Her and Chris were a blast and we all had a great time getting ready with them. They were super accommodating and helpful and honestly, everyone looked amazing. Jen also gave everyone who got their makeup done a little take home kit with some supplies for touch ups throughout the day.
I would recommend them in a heartbeat!

True Grace Make-Up made my wedding amazing! I have known Jen for a long time and I knew that I wanted to work with someone that I knew and was comfortable with on my wedding day. Her and Chris are an amazing team that brought so much more joy and fun to the "wedding prep" experience. I was not stressed and had a blast. They did hair and make-up for 9 people in my wedding party and we were done with time to spare for our first look photos. We even worked out the payment method in advance so that it was easy and taken care of and less stress. My make-up lasted all night, even through my sweaty dancing! I do not wear a lot of make-up in general and Jen did an amazing job of making me look natural. I have never felt more beautiful in my life. I wanted my wedding day to be the best day ever, and it was. One of the many reasons was because it started with Jen and her team at True Grace Make-Up.

Side Note-Jen also referred me to my photographer, who referred our DJ. I loved every single vendor that we used for our wedding and would recommend them to anyone.

True Grace Makeup + Hair provided the make-up and hair services for my January 2016 wedding and I cannot say enough about the work these ladies provided! From start to finish Jennifer McCarthy Norton provided outstanding customer service and attention to detail. She was helpful with planning out the timeline for the morning of the wedding and with a rather large bridal party she made sure to bring enough additional stylists to get everyone done with time to spare. Jennifer and Molly did an amazing job with everyone's make-up, keeping the girls looking natural but flawless. Jenna and her rolling assistant did 8 updos, extensions, and three other hair styles in record time and although each style was unique to what the girls wanted the looks were cohesive and turned out fabulous. One of my favorite pictures from the wedding is of the bridal party facing away from the camera because you can see all of the amazing hairstyles and they look stunning side by side! Jennifer's natural enthusiasm and upbeat, positive energy was contagious and kept us laughing and enjoying the little moments throughout the entire morning. Highly recommend!!!

I had picked a make-up artist previously, but that individual stopped responding to e-mails and phone calls, so I was left, with only 5 weeks until my wedding, with no make-up artist or hair stylist. Jen was AMAZING. I contacted her and she set things up right away. She got back to me immediately to answer any questions, and was able to make sure we not only had hair and make-up for wedding day, but that we had AMAZING hair and make-up on wedding day! Jen and Chris were fun to work with and great at helping to make sure we were all happy with our looks. My mother-in-law also wanted to get her hair and make-up done, and they fit her right in on wedding day. I can’t say enough about what an amazing job the stylists at True Grace Makeup did for my wedding! I’ll start off by saying that about 6 weeks before my wedding I still hadn’t secured a hair stylist or makeup artist (you can imagine how frantic I was getting). I searched Wedding Wire for traveling hair/makeup stylists in my area and I found True Grace Makeup. I called and spoke with Jen, and I could tell right away that I wanted to book her! She was so friendly and immediately began taking notes on my wedding details and timeline. She had another wedding booked for the same day as my wedding but she called that bride to confirm her timeline and got right back to me and said she’d definitely be able to take care of hair and makeup for me and my bridesmaids. She asked me who my photographer was and come to find out she was a regular makeup artist for his photo shoots! She coordinated with him to ensure their timelines were in sync and on point. She told me that she always sets up solid timelines so that I wouldn’t have to stress or worry about being on time for the ceremony and she definitely put me at ease! On the day of my wedding, she arrived with her hair stylist Chris and her makeup assistant Molly. Jen and Chris were absolutely amazing and transformed me into the exact image of a bride that I had always imagined for myself! (Molly didn’t style me but she also did a great job with the bridesmaids). Chris even helped one of my bridesmaids who wasn’t scheduled for hair but was having trouble finishing her style. We all had such a great time getting ready in the suite; they were so funny and had us laughing the whole time! Not only did they do a spectacular job on everyone’s hair and makeup, but they truly added something special to my getting ready experience. I have never felt more beautiful, and everyone was commenting on how stunning I looked. Jen and Chris are phenomenal and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for travelling hair/makeup stylists! :)

I never put make-up on so I wanted a natural look. Without a cake of make-up, she made me look so beautiful, people couldn't stop commenting. Living out of state from my wedding venue, I was nervous about finding vendors. Jen was absolutely amazing once I contacted her about being interested in having her do my girls make-up and my make-up for my wedding. We chatted on the phone for a while and then communicated via e-mail up until the morning of the big day. I didn't even have time to do a trial with her, but after seeing her reviews I knew I had nothing to be nervous about. She brought her assistant/bff Chris with her and they were amazing. Jenn and Chris came to my house to do mine, my bridesmaids, mothers and flower girls makeup. They were so fun to hang out with! Jenn had a drink with me to celebrate and Chris was enthusiastic and got us all excited for the events to follow. I had a lot of girls, so we had to start getting ready at 7 AM. I am so so happy I was able to book Jen & Chris of True Grace on my wedding day. First and foremost, their work speaks for itself. They are the best in the biz! I found their style to be a bit more natural, which is what I was looking for. No caked-on foundation or hard hairspray hair for these two! I actually considered doing my own hair/ makeup or asking a friend to, and boy am I glad I didn't. These two have the wedding-specific know how that make them so perfect for your big day; What looks best in photos, how to make your hair/ makeup stay perfect ALL day, how much time it takes. I absolutely loved the way they did my hair and makeup!! Many of my bridesmaids came up from NYC where they've had hair and makeup done for weddings and they all raved about how amazing Chris and Jen were.

And of course, like all the other reviews note, they really do have the best personalities! They're not going to let you dwell on your nerves because they'll keep the mood lighthearted and the laughs coming all day. Jen is just the absolute sweetest, and Chris entertained us with hilarious stories (and made a new best friend in my mom). I don't even know where to start; not only are Jen and Chris amazing professionals but they are HILARIOUS! I was planning my daughter's wedding and not living in the area I had to trust pictures and other brides' reviews, which paid off. We first met during Christina's hair/makeup trial and right off the bat I knew we were all a perfect match. They made us feel at ease, worked with all of our suggestions and the trial went smoothly. Jen made her look her natural self but enhanced features for a perfect look; Chris worked his magic and her hair was stunning even for the trial. Of course, like many brides day of wedding came and my daughter completely changed her mind on style. We were worried but as the true professionals they are, Chris didn't even flinch. I cannot say enough wonderful things about my experience with Jen! Since I live out of the area and was extremely limited with my availability, Jen and I had to coordinate my trial by phone and email. She was incredibly patient with me and was so kind and funny over the phone that I knew we'd hit it off in person. My trial was amazing and Jen took pictures and notes in order to ensure that we'd have a similar outcome on my wedding day. On the day of the wedding, she arrived early and managed to finish makeup for myself, 3 bridesmaids, and my mother almost an hour ahead of schedule! I never felt rushed and Jen had us laughing and enjoying every moment of our morning. To top it off, everyone looked absolutely amazing! I couldn’t have been happier with the way everything had turned out. Hair and Makeup started around 10am and we were dressed and ready for pictures my 3pm. Jen is simply amazing and knows how to create the exact look that you are looking for! The price was a little more than I had wanted to spend but once I seen the results it was more than worth it. After doing plenty of research and talking to a few hair and makeup artists in the area, I talked to Jen on the phone and immediately knew that I had to hire True Grace Makeup! Jen assured me that she would set up a timeline for hair and makeup that would leave us a buffer so that we didn't feel rushed and she did just that! Jen (Makeup) and Jenna (Hair) did the hair and makeup for 11 girls and women, ages 7 to 72. The bridal suite was incredibly calm the entire time ... we didn't feel rushed and each and every person got individual attention, all while we had fun and Jen and Jenna were definitely part of that fun - we all felt like we knew them for years!

Jen and Jenna brought out each person's beauty ... no one looked exactly the same and each person's hair and makeup was tailored to their personality. I cannot emphasize enough how nice this was to see - everyone was glowing!

As the bride, I have to say that I felt absolutely beautiful on my wedding day. The trial was a must and I suggest scheduling on the same day as a dress fitting if you can - it was great to see everything together before the wedding day to be sure it all worked! Jen and Jenna were fantastic and I would recommend True Grace Makeup to any bride and bridal party.

Jen was absolutely amazing. She was super friendly, flexible with time and accommodating for everything I requested. For my trial she used airbrush and gave me two 'looks' to decide from by taking photos on her camera. I could tell she was really aware of how makeup responds on film.
The day of my rehearsal was extremely hot and humid and I wanted to get my make-up just right for the wedding day. She suggested we use traditional make-up for my rehearsal and I was able to decide between the two for the wedding day. Both were great, but I felt more comfortable with the airbrush. My wedding day was the maybe the most humid day of the year and it lasted through taking sweaty pictures outside, dancing all night and even through the after party with minimal touch-ups in between. She used traditional make-up for my mom and bridesmaids and they all looked beautiful way into the night as well!

I would highly recommend Jen to anyone! She did my makeup for my rehersal dinner and she did my makeup along with all the bridesmaids, the MOB and the MOG the day of the wedding. We all looked absolutely gorgeous! I am such a sap and ended up crying the night of the rehersal dinner and at the wedding and the makeup did not run or anything. The makeup even made it through cake being somewhat pushed in my face! Haha. From the moment you talk/meet Jen you seriously feel like you have known her your whole life. She is very talented and really takes the time to give you the look that you want. I am not big into makeup, but definitely wanted to glam it up for my wedding day, and Jen took the time to explain different things we could do for the big day. I seriously can't think of anything bad to say or anything I would change. You will not be disappointed if you book Jen. She is very talented and has an amazing personality who will keep you calm and laughing on your big day!! I just want to mention that my hairdresser did the hair for my wedding so I did not end up working with Chris, but I can guarantee that he is probably just as amazing! Where to begin?! Jen is the most amazing woman you can have in your face on the most stressful day of your life. She effortlessly and happily accomidated all of the changes I made including the ones the day before my wedding. When I fired my original hair vendor Jen stepped in and got us the most amazing replacement, Chris. The two of them did all of our hair and makeup, made us laugh and relax all afternoon. Words cannot describe how awesome they are and how beautiful everything came out. If you want to have fun and look beyond amazing, this is the place to go!!

awesome! I was a little nervous at first because we had never met them prior the wedding day, my hairdresser connected us. But when they showed up to do hair and makeup we had an awesome time! Because of time restrictions hair and make up had to be done a little early, but it lasted all day and still looked awesome after the night was done.

True Grace Makeup gets an A++ in my book! they made me and all my girls in the wedding look and feel amazing. We had a blast and so many laughs. Future brides I suggest using True Grace Makeup they were to my house on time, they finished everyone in a timely fashion and gave us enough time to relax before the craziness began! Jennifer and Chris are an amazing duo! Three friends of mine had suggested that I use them for the big day and I was not disappointed. From the first phone call, to the trial, to the wedding day- they were both professional and quick to respond. Jen and Chris are AWESOME! I was very hesitant about having my makeup done for my wedding, probably because I've seen a lot of bad makeup and I don't wear a lot myself. I was immediately wowed by Jen when I met with her months before my wedding. With all her knowledge and experience I knew I was in GREAT hands. Jen and Chris were kind enough to come to my hotel the day before the wedding for my trial since I live in Rochester. This was GREAT and another example of what they'll do for their clients. As soon as they arrived it was like they were old friends, no nerves what so ever! Chris immediately knew what I wanted done with my hair and Jen's vision for my makeup was perfect. The next day they arrived for the wedding and the party continued. Chris did an amazing job on the girls hair, by just talking to the girls he was able to style them and they absolutely loved his work. Jen went above and beyond with our makeup and we all looked stunning. I have never felt so beautiful and received compliments all night on how natural and beautiful my hair and makeup looked. We continued to look gorgeous for the whole day and night as well, even with all the hugging, crying, and dancing we did! I can not recommend Jen and Chris enough, they really are THE BEST! You would be so lucky to have them with you on your big day!

Jen and Chris are the best! I did a lot of research before contacting Jen about doing the make up for my bridesmaids and I. I loved the idea of not having to rush around in Albany to have it done. Having someone come out just seemed so much less stressful. I really had no idea the fun I was signing up for at the time! I live in Atlanta, so planning my wedding in the catskills from so far away made for some challenges. It also meant I couldn't do a test-run on my hair and make-up. I'm not a very girly-girl, but luckily for everyone involved, I'm pretty laid back about hair and make-up and had complete faith in Jen and Chris to make sure I didn't look like a homeless prostitute (like I've seen so many people look after wedding make-up). They did an incredible job! Not only did I not look like a prostitute, I actually looked PRETTY. Even my husband was amazed (thanks for the faith in me, husband). I had no idea what I wanted, but had a couple ideas of what I didn't want. They listened to me, took everything into account, and made me look like a real bride. The same for my bridesmaids. On top of how incredible we all looked, they were just downright a blast to work with. Great sense of humor, great chemistry, and they were wonderful with everyone including my 3 dogs.

My only disappointment is that I can't kidnap them to come live with me and do my hair and make-up every day.

Love, Love, Love True Grace makeup!!! Jennifer and Chris did such an amazing job on everyone's makeup for the wedding! They made our mother's feel comfortable while giving each bridesmaid the fun and fabulous looks they each wanted. I LOVE Jen and Chris! At first I was not going to hire a makeup artist but after hearing the glowing reviews of Jen from a friend at work I booked her a year in advance! I am so so so so SO glad I did! Jen made me feel like we were old friends when we spoke on the phone. Jen and Chris (amazing hair stylist) came to my house to do my makeup and hair trial and also came to my room at my wedding venue. They were hysterical and a lot of fun! All of my bridesmaids were laughing with them and having a great time which actually calmed my nerves. I do not wear a lot of makeup normally and I am so glad I hired Jen and Chris because they made me look awesome. The makeup stayed on all day and did not come off even when I was crying! I want to get married again just so I can re-hire them! ha ha I would definitely recommend them to any bride, you won't regret it!

Jen is a miracle worker. From the first time I met her I knew she would do an amazing job. She is professional, personable and passionate about what she does. Her bubbly personality put me at ease. I don't wear a lot of make up and wanted a very natural look. Jen knew right away what would look good on me. She came to my house for the trial appointment and to the venue the day of the wedding. My family and bridal party absolutely loved her. She had everyone laughing, and talking right up to the ceremony. I received so many compliments on how beautiful I looked, everyone wanted to know who did my make up. I spoke with many people before Jen and was shocked at how reasonable her prices were compared to everyone. Her prices, her experience and her personality are second to none. Jen was awesome to work with both at my makeup trial, which she came to my home for, and on my wedding day. She did my bridal makeup as well as 4 bridesmaids and the mother of the bride, and everyone was extremely happy with the experience having their makeup done and how their look turned out. Jen is extremely outgoing and accommodating, and an absolute pleasure to work with! I don't wear very much makeup as a rule, and Jen worked with me to get the perfect look for my wedding day. It's amazing how much of a difference Jen's makeup made, because everyone who had their makeup done still looked amazing in photos from the very end of the night! Jen and Chris took my day from drab to fab!!! The day was rainy and cold and when they walked through the day they brought their laughter and smiles and everyone in my suite was laughing and having fun! Jen is AMAZING!! I'm not much for makeup on a daily basis and it was the best choice I ever made to have someone take care of that aspect for me on my wedding day. Jen and another member of her team, Chris, were great on the day of. Having my trial-run a few weeks before the big day took the guess work out of what to do the day of and they were great at talking with my attendants and mom before applying any makeup. Jennifer and Chris are AMAZING! In the beginning I was behind in finding a hair/makeup artist for my wedding because I wanted the best. I was so nervous because the good vendors are reserved out so much in advance. I called Jen praying she had my wedding day open. When we talked to explained that she had my wedding day blocked for family time as she is busy every weekend with weddings, but without a second thought she sacrificed her family time to help me,such a giving peron. I am so grateful. Anytime I had a question Jen was there to answer it, phone calls and emails were always promptly answered. They both worked around my schedule for meetings. Jen was even nice enough to do my trial hair/make up style the day on my bridal shower, I felt so beautiful!
I can't say enough about Jen and Chris, they are so fun to be around, whether its a joke to cheer you up or a shoulder to cry on because your maid of honor is a crazy physco person lol :).
Also I had a large bridal party including my mother/ mother in law and flower girl to get hair and make up done. They are awesome at time management and keeping everyone in line the day of the wedding. The showed up at the hotel on time and ready to go. Such a stress reliever!
Everyone looked GREAT! They have the top of the line makeup, and they hair was perfect, just what I asked for.
When I looked in the mirror I couldn't beleive it was me, such an amazing day that I will never forget, and always be grateful for. <3
People are still complimenting me on how BEAUTIFULL myself and bridal party were that day!

Jennifer McCarthy-Norton and Chris Burt were fabulous. Jennifer was so much fun and so easy to work with leading up to the wedding. We met initially to chat and ended up having a coffee for three hours! The trial was included for me and it was greet to meet them both and to try a few different styles. We took photos so that I could see what my face looked like on film and I was blown away by their work and knew I had selected right! I know when you see 5 stars across the board it seems like the client didnt take the rating system seriousky, but Indid and I honestly would have given HIGHER if I could. Jen and Chris were amazing. I originally wasnt going to have my hair or make up done because I typically keep both pretty simple but was convinced by family to splurge. I was a little nervous, I didnt know anyone in the field and didnt want to look like a clown with prom hair....so I asked my photographer who to use and i am so glad he suggested Jen. She and chris didbhair and make up for me, 2 bridesmaids and my mom, all of whom have different styles. My sister, for example, came in with her own fake eyelashes, wanted a dramatic updo she had already picked out a photo of and dark, smokey eyes. I on the other hand only knew that i wanted an updo and "light" make up. Jen helped me understand how to choose appropriate tones and shared some make up tips that i never learned :) not only were she and chrisntotally professional but they were happy and soooo sweet....even though they had to meet us at 7am on a cool rainy fall morning. I couldnt have been happier. And the prices were WAY LESS than I expected and much less than what others had quoted me (I got some other quotes since I didnt know what to expect with pricing). I would have paid much more if I could have known upfront how happy I and my bridal party was going to be with the results :) thier shinning personalities and the chemistry they have when they work together were just as impressive as each of thier individual talent. Its great to work with an expert but some personalityband kindness go a long way too. I would definitley recommed Jen and Chris to ANYONE, whether they are a makeup artist and hair stylist themselves or have never had either service before, they are truly talented and amazing!

I worked with Jen recently on a bridal shoot and she was fabulous. Her energy was infectious. Not only was she on time and ready to work, she took direction well and added her own flair to her art that only elevated the pictures we took. The fact that she can also do beautiful hair is an added bonus. I asked for a hair pin on the model, bam, it was done. I asked for a shine on the lip, boom, there it was. I'll be working with this fabulous lady and her team again soon, I'm sure.

Jennifer has amazing energy & does beautiful work! I don't normally wear makeup and I felt like I looked very natural and that the makeup was not caked on me! Chris did my hair and he was so much fun! They are a great team and wonderful to work with.

One word, AMAZING! I absolutely LOVED my makeup and all of my girls makeup on my special day! Jennifer is such a sweet, fun and talented lady! From the beginning Jennifer was responsive and helpful! She even did my makeup two ways at my trail and to my surprise I went with the look that none of my ideas were like at all and like I said I LOVED it! Jen and her assistant even came to my bridesmaids rescue when our hair didn't quite go the way that we wanted to! I highly recommend Jen to any future bride!

Jen was AMAZING!!!! she made this day so special! she came to my house for the trial and before she came my bridesmaids didn't want their makeup done. after seeing he work all 5 of them and mothers got it done! We all looked so good I couldn't believe it! jen is the nicest person ever! I would totally recommend her no doubt about it!

Jennifer was terrific! I am not usually a big makeup person, so for my trial she showed me different options, one darker and one lighter. It really allowed for me to choose what I liked the best. The option we chose on the day of was perfect. She coordinated some test shots with the photographers to make sure it all looked great in the photos which was really cool. The makeup lasted through the entire time, even well into the after hours party :) Jennifer was great in keeping everyone on schedule and relaxed so that I wouldn't feel the stress of the big day!

When I got engaged, people started buzzing around me about all of the details from the dress to flowers, hair, makeup etc...Honestly, I never thought about having someone do my makeup. Especially not on my wedding day! I am very fussy when it comes to those things :) The prospect was scary, but I decided to trial with Jen to see if maybe she could make it special for a special day as opposed to my own everyday makeup. I told her how nervous I was and we just talked for a bit about my makeup likes, dislikes, techniques and products. She was so warm, knowledgeable, and receptive that I forgot about my nerves and decided to go for it! The entire time she asked for my feedback and made sure it was what I wanted. Not how she thought I SHOULD wear it (as commonly heard from many stylists). She never took offense to each of the times I asked her to change something. I left the trial feeling like we established a game plan for the wedding day.

The day of the wedding I had 8 customers for her including myself. She was so professional, yet so approachable, fun and sweet it made the whole morning fun for my girls and me! Just as I thought, I didn't have to tell her to change a thing that day. She incorporated everything discussed during the trial and I loved the end result! My bridesmaids all looked beautiful and they fell in love with Jen too! Even though this was the first time she was meeting with them she was able to sit and chat with each person before she began without falling behind in our time frame.

We had a really diverse group. We had people that love makeup and wear it heavily, those that never wear makeup, my mom who just turned 60 and my little sister who just turned 17. Each person left with a timeless look they were happy with. Most importantly, everyone still looked like themselves. She used top of the lime products that stayed put all night for each photo and each hug.

I didn't realize until my pictures came back, how important of investment this was. I know people think makeup and, "big deal you wash it off and its gone forever." Not the case with wedding photos!!! I have 1500 shots with Jen's work in them! I have to say that each face Jen touched was flawless in every picture!

Thank you Jen for making my morning spectacular, helping make my wedding day perfect and my photos glowing reminders of it all! YOU ARE THE BEST!!!! xoxo
