My husband and I recently got married at Tourterelle, which was recommended to us by a local vendor who enjoys working with the venue. We actually booked it without seeing it in-person, as we live out of state, and were floored when we came to see it in person. It was the perfect balance of elegant and down-to-earth for us, and exceeded both of our expectations. The bridal suite/inn is absolutely gorgeous and I was so excited to have my bridesmaids stay there that weekend. I received feedback from guests that this was the best wedding food that they had ever had, and they have been to many weddings (agreed!). Christine was wonderfully accommodating and on top of all of the details the day of the wedding, leaving us to just be able to enjoy our day. Would definitely recommend to prospective couples. Big thanks to the venue for making our day so special. -

Amaaazing!
We had our wedding at Tourterelle in June. It was AMAZING- better than we ever could have imagined!! Christine was incredible. She walked us through every aspect of planning: developing a menu to accommodate gluten-free and vegan guests, helping to build our day-of timeline and decorating the venue!
The food was delicious and Christine and her team went above any beyond to help us put personal touches on the day. We wanted refreshments available for the ceremony, our favorite local wines to be served, and a gluten-free cake. She made it happen!
We had our ceremony and cocktail hour outside and our reception in the bar. The scenery was absolutely gorgeous and our pictures are stunning. The majority of our guests came from out of town and were in awe of the vistas.
Lastly, we reserved the bridal suite upstairs. It was great to have that space for prepping day-of and Christine made sure we had everything we needed.
We are so glad we chose to have our wedding at Tourterelle and can’t recommend it enough!!

My husband and I got married at Tourterelle on 10.10.2020 in a beautiful small outdoor ceremony with our closest family. Tourterelle is an absolutely breathtakingly beautiful venue! Christine is fantastic to work with and she ensured that everything went smoothly. She did all of the day of coordination and communicated with me in the months leading up to the wedding to make sure we were on track. Even when my husband and I changed EVERYTHING about our wedding in response to COVID concerns, Christine was so calm and collected and helped me stay calm as well. We are blessed to be having our vow renewal ceremony and our bigger reception at Tourterelle again next year!! We can't wait to go back and to work with Christine again! -

From start to finish Christine and the Tourterelle staff was such a pleasure to work with. Even though 2020 threw numerous curve balls including a pandemic and a fire in the restaurant and inn portion of the venue, Christine continued to be friendly, gracious and extremely flexible with whatever choices my husband and I felt comfortable making for our wedding. She and the rest of the staff were so lovely and accommodating on the day of our scaled back wedding. I can't thank them enough for how special they made our day feel and would not hesitate to recommend them. Not to mention how beautiful the venue itself is! -

Tourterelle was excellent to work with for my daughter's wedding. The food was wonderful, Christine and Whitney were wonderful and we could not have asked for a better experience! They were very helpful and I was not worried about anything! The setting is lovely and perfect for photos. -

the most dreamsy
we didn't even consider any other venues-- we booked tourterelle based on it's situation between 2 mountain ranges and based on its FOOD. it has my favorite food in Vermont. its menu is so creative and elegant, but also so unpretentious and straight up yums. if you care about your guests enjoying themselves, food is critical-- they literally don't give a hoot about anything else, and tourterelle is destined to be delicious every time. it's slow, purposeful elements that make every meal so memorable.
we were blessed with a really weatherly perfect day, but we were also blessed with a wonderful wedding coordinator, whitney. she comes with the venue, and she's an in real life angel. she's so sweet, patient, thoughtful, smart, and she cares about getting it exactly right for you. I gave her pretty minimal direction because i'm a clueless person in general, and I just trusted her, and im glad I did. she made it all happen; I just showed up. and that's exactly what I damn well wanted. thank you, whitney!
I have no regrets about our wedding day-- it was so fun, peaceful, and wild, and that was in large part due to the staff at tourterelle and the little mountain barn grotto they provide. thank you, my stars.

Irene Sent on 10/06/2018We loved our experience with Tourterelle. Whitney and Christine were so nice, helpful, and easy to communicate with. The venue is absolutely beautiful. All our guests raved about the food. One guest said they felt like they were at a wedding from a movie :) The view is breath taking. Even though you are close to rt 7, dont worry you cannot hear it at all! I actually ended up getting sick on our wedding night and Whitney and Christine were really helpful with making me feel comfortable. Highly recommended! -
Ann Sent on 09/03/2018We could not have found a more perfect venue for our daughter's Vermont wedding than Tourterelle! Christine was wonderful to work with, beginning with our first meeting, throughout the months of planning, and on the day of the wedding. She was always gracious, responsive, and positive, and we could not have been more thrilled with every aspect of the wedding!
As you can see from the photos below, Tourterelle is a magnificent spot - the ceremony by the pond, the outdoor area - perfect for cocktails and socializing after the ceremony, the beautiful barn, which provided a lovely setting for the reception, and the outdoor area adjacent to the barn (which we covered with a tent), which was perfect for dancing. The bonus: all of these spots come with lovely mountain views looking East and West!!
Tourterelle is not just a perfect setting... Christine and her husband, Bill, who is the chef, own Tourterelle, and they made a point of working with us to make very aspect of the wedding perfect for us! The food was delicious, the bar was supplied with everything we requested, and the staff was friendly and attentive!
We are so glad we chose Tourterelle, and we would highly recommend it for your Vermont wedding! -

It was a one stop shop: all of the organizing for tables and food and the layout for the ceremony and reception was amazing. Super friendly and would answer all of our questions even if they seemed silly. Having them cater the food was incredible and worked very seamless with everything else. The grounds were beautiful and having the overnight rooms was a great place to get ready. Whenever we drive by Tourtelle or we see friends from the wedding, we always smile and will have wonderful memories forever. Thanks for making everything so perfect!

User1329903 Sent on 09/15/2013We could not be happier with our choice to hold our wedding ceremony and reception at Tourterelle. As other reviewers have mentioned, Christine is wonderful. She made us feel at home from the first time we met, and was so thoughtful throughout the planning process. We spent a weekend at Tourterelle a few months before the wedding, to finalize things with other vendors and go over details with Christine. The dinner she served was amazing, and the dinner at the reception was definitely of the same caliber. We loved her commitment to seasonal and local food, and guests raved about the great selection of local beer and cider on tap at the reception. We were lucky in that the weather was gorgeous throughout our wedding weekend, but even in rain I am sure Tourterelle would be beautiful. It has such amazing views of the mountains. The covered deck was perfect as well - still outside but covered and shielded from whatever elements Vermont weather may bring. We could write pages about how much we love Tourterelle, and are always looking forward to returning for our anniversary next August. -
User999124 Sent on 11/01/2012Tourterelle was the perfect place for our wedding. From day one, Christine and Bill made us feel like the bride & groom. They sat down with us, offered wine while we discussed our vision for our wedding day. They immediately saw our vision and made it happen. It was the easiest wedding planning ever! The wedding day was perfect, the food delicious (our guests raved) and the staff more than friendly and capable. We stayed at the Inn for two nights and our every need was taken care of. We felt more like friends than guests. We would recommend them for any event. -
User989618 Sent on 10/25/2012Beautiful venue and lovely staff. They worked with us to get what we wanted out of our wedding day. The downside was the cost, but they took care of everything(food, alcohol, wedding cake, table/chair/linen rentals, etc! It was worth the extra money to not have to worry about it on our wedding day!
