As a wedding planner, I work with a lot of photographers — and Tory truly stands out. He arrived on time, was incredibly easy to work with, and handled the entire day with professionalism and calm confidence. What I appreciated most was that I never once felt the need to check in or stay on top of him throughout the wedding day — he just knew exactly what needed to be done and did it flawlessly. His communication, eye for detail, and overall presence made the day flow effortlessly. From start to finish, Tory was a true professional. He kept things light and stress free while also maintaining a high degree of professionalism. I was blown away by the portfolio he shared with me at the very beginning and his expertise with how he navigated the entire process. He ensured that every moment was captured, being everywhere without ever being in the way. He was flexible to the specific shots we wanted while also allowing us to rely on his expertise for classic poses and expert management of the event itself by capturing shots with all our friends and family. I rarely write reviews, but for Tory, I am happy to give him my highest endorsement! -

Tory was the ultimate professional and extremely invested in making sure my wedding photos were perfect. My wedding was on August 1st, 2021 and I can’t help but to look at my gorgeous photos over and over again. He even caught some off guards of us just enjoying each other. Those are the ones that I will cherish the most. I loved working with him and will continue to recommend him to everyone who wants gorgeous photos. ❤️ -

I Can’t Wait to See All the Photos!
Tory Bass Photography is and will forever be my go-to photographer. My groom and I did an engagement shot with Tory (kind of like a trial run before the wedding) and the shots were amazing! The photo shoot was fun, exciting and he did a great job of making me feel comfortable individually, as well as together as a couple.
We did 3 outfits, in 2 different locations and he created beautiful images. Any event in the future, any seasonal photos for any reason at all, I will be contacting Tory!
For the wedding: Tory’s motto is “if you paid for it, I’m shooting it”. Any details (monograms, embroidery, wedding favors, decor, dresses, rings) Tory made it a priority to capture. Any moments with family, and friends, Tory was there to shoot it.
My groom and I got ready separately, so he had a second photographer go to the guys and shoot “getting-ready” photos. There’s so many things I know I may have missed (cocktail hour details, setup before the wedding start) and I know the images will take me right back to my special day! -

Tory did an an absolutely amazing job capturing the engagement shoot (which included our TWO dogs) the bridal portrait shoot and our wedding day.
My husband is an entire foot taller than me at 6’6” and because Tory is tall himself he was able to properly frame the two of us.
My husband and I are both pretty awkward on film, he made us comfortable and got the best shots.
Tory is extremely professional has a great personality and has very fast turnaround times. Cannot wait to get to work with him again -

We wish we could give Tory 6 stars
It's hard to even know where to begin in reviewing Tory. I'll start by saying that he was our favorite wedding "vendor" that we worked with. I put the word vendor in quotation marks because it doesn't feel like Tory was a vendor, but rather a friend or even a member of our family. He was a consummate professional throughout our entire relationship with him, patiently answering our seemingly endless array of questions and even going above-and-beyond to meet us for a venue scouting tour one time. I can't stress enough how Tory's personality and the way he related to us colored our entire wedding experience as he made us feel comfortable, supported, and uplifted the entire time. Plus, he has a huge personality and huge heart, and he and my husband related a lot over personal upbringing and interests (my husband likes that Tory is also a bit of a nerd like him, haha). Now that our wedding is over, my husband and I even joked about throwing another party just so we'd have an excuse to hire Tory to shoot another event. That's how impactful his services were. Of course, the photos Tory took were all beautiful (we're attaching some photos so you can see for yourself). And when we look at those photos now, we're so thankful that not only do those photos represent the best day of our lives, but the best photographer we could have selected to shoot them. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, Tory!! -

Tory is an amazing photographer!! I saw some of his wedding photography on Instagram and decided to give him a call. He by far was more professional, and had more experience than any other vendor we talked with, and I'm so glad that we chose him!
He completed our engagement photos for us about 7 months before our wedding, and they were absolutely beautiful! He was quick, efficient, and came up with beautiful poses with lots of different background settings.
On our wedding day Tory, truly shined. I was already a little behind schedule with hair for the day, but Tory popped right into our bridal house and was ready to go. He and his assistant got right to work taking pictures of all the little and important wedding details such as jewelry, shoes, invitations, etc. When myself and bridesmaids were ready for him he took amazing photos quickly and efficiently so that we stayed on time for our wedding day.
At the venue, before and during the wedding, he was every where that we needed him to be. He took amazing shots of the bridal party, groomsmen, venue, and ceremony details. He got all of the specific shots that I asked for and even more that I didn't know to ask for! He worked great alongside my videographer, and our pictures were stunning!!!
Do not hesitate to choose Tory as your photographer. He is professional, and truly talented.You will not be disappointed!! -

He’s professional, he explains everything you’re paying for, and there’s great value for your money! He initially met with us on our schedule and gave recommendations for different packages. He let us provide input on photo locations and he makes you feel at ease in front of the camera. We got our wedding photos back recently and I can't stop staring at them! From getting ready, to first look, to ceremony and reception...everything was wonderful. I'd book him again and again!

Lauren Sent on 06/23/2017I searched high and low for a photographer and I ultimately feel like I ended up getting the most bang for my buck with Tory. He was very easy to work with because he's really professional but laid back at the same time. He has a great eye so I didn't feel like I needed to be overbearing with a bunch of shot lists. My husband and I trusted his vision completely and he did not let us down. Tory had quite a few of our wedding pictures ready for us to view on the second or third day of our honeymoon. I don't know how soon other photographers work, but I felt like this was very fast and I was pleasantly surprised. Within 6 weeks of our wedding day, we had all of our pictures. I hope to use Tory again in the future for other events. -

He communicated all useful information clearly and was right there to answer any concern we had. They were very professional and willing to customize a package that met both our needs and our budget. They are a husband and wife couple that are committed to being sure you look back at your pictures and see the true essence of your special day captured. They did both our engagement photos (Greensboro, NC), our wedding (Charleston, SC) and are at the top of our list for maternity and family photos in the future! We were extremely pleased with their work even in looking at their photography before hiring them.
