Wonderful experience!

My husband and I were fortunate to have Tom take our engagement photos in October 2020 and our wedding photos this past June 2021! Tom could not have been more laid back, flexible, patient, or easy to work with. He is also extremely reasonably priced for the amount of time he offers and the number of photos he takes. He captured the immense joy and happiness of our wedding day from start to finish. We've received many compliments on our photos, specifically on how well Tom captured our love for each other, our families, and our friends. We highly recommend Tom!!

An Absolute Pleasure To Work With

Tom was so fun to work with for our wedding. We met him for our engagement photos over 2 years before our wedding (thanks COVID), and throughout the years he was still checking in on us, making sure all our questions were answered prior to our big day. On the wedding day, Tom was fun, easy to work with, and made me (the bride) laugh even when I was stressed. He indulged my requests for silly angles and strange requests. We cannot recommend Tom highly enough. It was a privilege to have him at our wedding.

Wonderful Photographer for our Elopement

Tom made our day perfect!

We had Tom as our photographer for our wedding that was suppose to take place august 2020 and with the pandemic and having to reschedule that next year of 2021. I was extremely stressed to delay the wedding but Tom was very understanding and so kind through it all! Fast forward to the day of! He captured moments I will look back on forever! He was easy and fun to work with! Very happy with how everything turned out! I will recommend him to anyone!

Tom is a great photographer!

Tom is genuinely such an amazing person to work with. We had such a great day with him on our wedding day. We had a very windy wedding day and Tom literally ran after my veil after it flew off my head and almost went into the creek (even took a picture of it where it landed :) ). He truly went above and beyond and even did a late night session with my husband and I which turned out beautifully. Working with him was a great decision and it's really refreshing to work with someone who truly loves his art and cares a lot about making your pictures the best he can. Thank you so much Tom!!

Great Value, Great Pictures

My husband and I really enjoyed having Tom share in our special day in June. We enjoyed his company very much and Tom was willing to go above and beyond to get the right shot at the right angle for us. He literally walked through fire and ice for us as out engagement shoot was outdoors in February and our wedding was outdoors on a 90 degree morning! Tom Nicol photography also offers great value for great pictures; many other photography services offer a set amount of time at a set price, then require you to purchase additional time and add ons (thumb drives, photo books, etc.) ala carte which can add up quickly. For a reasonable price, we got GORGEOUS pictures of both an engagement shoot and our wedding, a photo book, online gallery with printing rights and a thumb drive. I am really looking forward to working with Tom in the future for other memorable occasions.

Tom is the best!

Tom was amazing to work with! He went above and beyond in every way. We are so grateful he is who we chose for our photographs. Our wedding day was super rainy and cold, and he was still able to make our photographs beautiful works of art that we know we will cherish forever. Blown away!!

Tom did an AMAZING job as the photographer for my wedding a few weeks ago. Several people at the wedding commented on how he "did not miss a beat" and that definitely shows in the pictures... he really did capture everything. Fantastic Photographer!

Tom did a fantastic job as our wedding photographer! He spent the entire wedding day with us to get pictures of every detail, and he was very patient with our crazy family members.
He knew the location very well; so he was able to take beautiful pictures inside, outside, daytime, and nighttime.
He returned the pictures very quickly and was kind to us throughout the process.
We can't recommend him highly enough.

Absolutely amazing!

Tom is absolutely the best! He is local to the Geneva area and knows all the best spots for engagement and pre wedding photos. We went with his suggestion for me to get ready at the Herrington Inn and Spa and it was a stunning place right on the Fox River and the photos taken there were gorgeous. He has a great working relationships with other vendors which was fantastic to see with how he and our videographer worked together. He is willing to get down on the ground to get different angles and was great at directing us when need be to get the right shot. All our engagement photos were beautiful but we were beyond impressed with the photos from the wedding. We love love love them all and don't know how we will we choose which we order for our memory book or to have as prints to hang on the walls of our new home. He also made a slide show using our first dance song and I tear up every time I watch it because it is so beautiful. We weren't expecting the slide show so it was such a lovely surprise. We just can't say enough good things about Tom's work and how much fun it was to work with him on our special day.

Tom is fantastic!! He did our engagement photos as well as our wedding, and they are absolutely breathtaking. He truly has an eye for great shots and is very knowledgeable of the surrounding Chicagoland area for really cool photos.

Whether you have specific pictures in mind or need help thinking of things, he's extremely flexible in that regard. I had a few things I wanted specifically but he managed to give us some cute ideas (Husband stealing a donut from the treats table before the wedding? So fun!)

Not only did he work to help accommodate our budget, but he stayed a little late for some last minute family photos my mom wanted. Also, he stood out in pouring rain to get the COOLEST shot of me and my husband.

If you want photos you can look back on and be so proud of, this is your guy. Thanks again for everything Tom!

There is too much to say in just one review. Tom was absolutely wonderful and we would highly recommend him to anyone getting married in the St. Charles/Geneva area. Our day was made so special because of him and we have perfect, lasting pictures to remember it by!

Looking back on the day, I would say the most important vendor is your photographer. This is the vendor who will have the most contact with you, your wedding party, family, and friends. After the day is done, the thing you remember it by is your pictures. It is not someone you want to choose lightly!

To give a few examples of how great Tom Nicol Photography is...

Tom was there for the entire day. And because of that, he captured everything - it feels like we are re-living our wedding day when we look back on all the pictures! It also showed he genuinely cared about you as his client!

He is a very skilled photographer. We received a wide range of photos on our day - the "intagram worthy" pictures, traditional pictures, candid pictures, party pictures, and ceremony pictures. He knew how to position everyone to get a great shot, work with the weather (we had a very sunny and windy day), and which pictures were the best to capture - even when we were not present or busy (like during the ceremony).

Finally, we found that some wedding vendors ran like a business and lacked that personal connection. Tom, however, greeted us with hugs on the morning of our wedding, stayed until the end of the night, offered advice in planning, and overall was a great addition to have with us on our wedding day!

When it came to wedding planning, photography was one of the checklist items that I cared most about, but that I felt was the hardest to select a vendor for. There are so many options to choose from, and price ranges can vary greatly for seemingly no reason at all. Tom was our choice for photographer first and foremost because you can tell upon meeting him he is one of the nicest, most genuine people. He is accommodating, and cares solely about working with your schedule to make sure planning is not a hindrance to you. He takes his job seriously, and came so well prepared to our first meeting that we had no doubt he would be the perfect photographer for us. AND, not to mention, he is one of the highest quality, most reasonably priced photographers out there. His pictures are gorgeous, and he has SUCH an attention to detail that, when I flip through our photos, I can instantly put myself back in the moments of our day. He also spent way more hours with us during the day than what was initially talked about, and he went above and beyond to accomplish all of the 'shot list items' I had sent him beforehand. All in all, Tom was truly a spectacular vendor to have participate in our day. We weren't the only ones who thought so, as our other vendors raved about how nice he was, how professional he was, and most importantly, how beautiful his photos are. We lucked out finding such an affordable, yet world class photographer for our day, and he comes highly recommended from my husband and me!!!!!

Tom was incredible! After checking out Tom’s portfolio, we fell in love with his style and how he used nature and other surroundings in his shots. After booking Tom, we setup an initial meeting to discuss the wedding plans and so he could understand more about what we were looking for. We really loved how personal he made the whole experience. He took the time to get to know us as people and really took the time to plan out and personalize our day. Tom included a complementary engagement session, which we chose to do at the Morton Arboretum. Pictures were great! Rain did not stop Tom from producing amazing pictures. For our wedding day, Tom arrived early to capture the bridal party getting ready, pictures of the rings, flowers, etc. He worked quick and smooth and was very easy going and adjusted to every situation. He stayed until the very end of our wedding, and was able to capture our entire night. He worked so hard and put in an extremely long day, and he maintained such a calm, cool, and sweet attitude the entire time. The final wedding pictures were breathtaking!!! I am really not one to like pictures of myself. He put together a slideshow to our first dance song, and both my wife and I teared up. I have watched that slideshow over and over and still can’t get enough. He truly captured the entire day! What was also great to see, is he really got around to all the tables and caught pictures of people my wife and I weren’t able to spend a lot of time with during the wedding. That really meant a lot to us. I cannot say enough great things about Tom, you certainly will not be disappointed! We could not have asked for a better experience.

Tom is fantastic! I contacted Tom over a year from our wedding date. He met me at a coffeeshop to have a conversation about my vision and what I was looking for in a photographer. We had two ceremonies, a reception, and two separate photo locations planned for the same day, so I needed someone willing to accommodate a long day of logistics. Tom was SO attentive, encouraging, and knowledgeable about what was possible. From our initial meeting through booking through the following year of planning, he kept in touch via email to ensure plans for the day of. We booked Tom for an unlimited hour package for less than $3000--this does not compare to so many other vendors with very limited hour packages and high prices. He also secured a second photographer for an hour of additional photos at a third location at a great price within the final cost. Tom was so accommodating and captured every moment and location. I valued his suggestions and help with making the day move along smoothly. He captured beautiful photos, and I'm so happy with them. You will not regret working with Tom for your special day!

Tom was an absolute dream to work with! He is extremely kind, patient, and passionate about photography! We chose Tom as our wedding photographer and also to take our save the date photos. Tom spent several hours walking around Chicago with us for our save the date photos, and they turned out amazing! He had a lot of great ideas and suggestions that came across beautifully in our photos. He was very responsive with any questions we had, and his calm personality was extremely helpful during planning. The week leading up to our wedding we were told it was 100% chance of rain and he texted us ideas for unique weatherproof photo spots in Chicago! He also surprised me on our wedding day and came extra early to take photos of my bridesmaids and I getting ready at the salon which turned out beautiful! Luckily the rain stopped during our trolley ride throughout Chicago and Tom went above and beyond to get the perfect shot! Our wedding photos are absolutely amazing and we received so many compliments on how nice Tom was the day of our wedding. We would definitely reach out to Tom again with any photography needs!! Tom was fantastic. My husband and I lived far in the beginning of working with him and he was so willing to accommodate our location needs for our engagement shoot. Both our engagement and wedding pictures came out so beautiful. We received so many compliments from out friends and family on our photos. Tom was the hardest working person at our wedding. He was there the entire day and got a lot of candid photos that really brings the day back when looking at them. His price is extremely reasonable and well worth it for his work! He was also extremely prompt with emails/phone calls which is very helpful while planning a wedding and trying to coordinate with many vendors.

Tom has given us such beautiful photos to remember our wedding day. He definitely loves what he does, and it shows in the time he takes with you from the very beginning of the process. He is very kind, calm, professional, and I cannot imagine choosing anyone else as my wedding photographer. He is timely in responding to questions and had some great ideas for pictures that felt very natural, which was important to my husband and me. We were unable to schedule an engagement session - due to personal reasons on my part; Tom was very flexible, it just didn't pan out timewise - so the wedding day was literally the first time he'd taken pictures of us, and it all went off without a hitch. I want to start out by saying I am only giving Tom a 5.0/5.0 rating because it is not possible to give extra stars. He has truly blown my husband and I away with how talented he is. My husband and I recently got married on 09/03/2016. We booked Tom for our engagement photo session and was so happy with our photos we asked him to do our wedding. Unfortunately, he had already been booked so we were forced to go elsewhere for our wedding photographer. We ended up with a photographer from George Street (a fancy photography business). These people were not only not as professional and easy to work with as Tom was but our photos also didn't turn out as outstanding as they had when we had booked Tom. Last minute, we came to Tom begging him to find time for us to book an outdoor wedding photo-shoot. Tom not only came through for us in booking something last minute so we could get fall pictures, but all the pictures came through beautifully. My husband and I both agree that even the best photo we got from our day-of wedding photographers didn't even come close to the quality of the ones Tom took for us. He really does have a vision he brings to life and he's also a fun guy to work with. I would definitely advise anyone looking for a photographer to use Tom. He offers great deals for amazing photos.

You cannot find a better photographer than Tom Nicol!!! His pricing is very competitive, and the quality of his work is EXCEPTIONAL! I heard SEVERAL comments from people about how amazing our pictures turned out!!! They were blown away!! One woman told us she had never seen better wedding pictures!!!

Tom very obviously LOVES what he does and it shows forth in his work and the time he is willing to invest with you! Unlike other photographers who try to nickel and dime you, Tom has one flat rate that covers the wedding photography AND includes the engagement session--an added bonus! Within a very short period of time, he begins posting pictures on Facebook! That was such a pleasant surprise because at first I expected to wait a very long time to see our photos. The entire album was sent to us to view only 2 1/2 weeks after our wedding!! Tom gives you the right to the photos so that you can have them printed anywhere you choose instead of having to purchase them for outrageous prices online.

In addition to his excellent work and competitive pricing, Tom has such a pleasant, friendly personality; my husband and I knew he was the photographer we wanted to hire the very first time we met him. I cannot recommend Tom highly enough! You will NOT be disappointed in hiring him as your photographer!!!

My husband and I had such a great experience with Tom! From his very reasonable pricing to his professionalism we could not imagine our Wedding without him. He was very flexible and traveled with us to several venues throughout our day. Tom was very easy to work with and we have beautiful memories because of him!

My husband and I had our engagement photos as well as our wedding done through Tom---and we couldn't be more thrilled!! We are not the type who enjoy getting our pictures taken, but Tom made us feel totally at ease during our sessions. Every picture is terrific! Tom captured the feel and the mood of our special day perfectly, I cannot possibly give a higher recommendation for a wedding photographer. Aside from the amazing photos we received, is that Tom is such a nice person! He is fun and wonderful to work with; we found him to be helpful yet unobtrusive at the event and he was so patient with everyone. Our day could not have turned out anymore perfect; we had beautiful weather for the end of February and was able to take all our pictures outdoors! Tom did such a beautiful job I honestly can't say enough good things about him! Thank you, Tom, for capturing this day for us so well; these are pictures that we can and will always treasure.

We planned our wedding on a shorter timeline and I did a lot of research looking for a photographer. Tom did a fantastic job! When I first contacted him, he was detailed and provided some great things to consider for the photography on our special day. At the wedding, he captured many moments that were very special. He was very professional and everyone really liked him. When we received the pictures--it was so great to see pictures that bring back all the emotion and fun of the day. I really am happy with the pictures and really appreciate all his hard work! So glad I chose Tom for our special day!

My husband and I are not the type who enjoy getting our pictures taken, but Tom made us feel totally at ease during our engagement shoot and on our wedding day. He got all the pictures I asked for and even some that I didn't even think to ask for. He was able to catch so many wonderful moments of our special day that it helps us relive it. These pictures are truly special and we will treasure them forever. What I loved most about Tom is that he isn't pushy or in your face, and didn't make us do anything cheesy. He definitely made it pain free for us and that's what we were hoping for. I keep looking through my photos and can't possibly choose a favorite because I love them all!

We could not have been happier with the services Tom provided. His photos looked amazing and he got them to us very quickly after the wedding! We met beforehand to go over some photos we needed/wanted, but after looking through some of his samples we could tell he had a good eye for what would make a meaningful wedding photo! We can't recommend him enough!

We just received the photos of our wedding today---and couldn't be more thrilled. Each one is terrific--Tom captured the feel and the mood of our special day perfectly and the photos are beautiful. I cannot possibly give a higher recommendation for a wedding photographer. Another big factor is that Tom is such a nice person; he is kind and wonderful to work with; we found him to be truthful in his dealings and totally helpful yet unobtrusive at the event. I felt like I had a friend taking our photos. We had planned a lot of outdoor images and it poured on our wedding day, yet Tom still managed to get in a lot of wonderful shots and we don't really miss all the outdoor ones as a result. Thank you, Tom, for capturing this day for us so well; we will always treasure these pictures.

Tom's photos are simply amazing! He shot our engagement and wedding. We felt extremely comfortable working with him on our special days; most of the time we rarely even knew he was there. We received the photos after only a couple of weeks. I was blow away by the way he captured exactly who we are and the perfect moments. I can't wait to put the pictures all over our house!

We just got our pictures back from our wedding today, less than 2 weeks since our big day and I cannot stop looking at them! Tom did such an amazing job capturing how happy we were. Our Engagement photos by Tom were great, we loved them! His professionalism and creativity really showed throughout our engagement session and pictures. There are not enough words to describe how great Tom and his work are. Tom has a natural eye for great shots. He captured my guest, my husband and I perfectly, We are a quirky bunch!!! I loved each photo more than the last. Not only did he take great pictures, he gave us suggestions on poses and also stayed longer to get all the pictures we wanted in. Everyone that has seen my wedding photos has said how great they are and my family and guess felt comfortable being in them. Tom was so great! We really appreciated how he consulted with us on what locations to choose for our outdoor wedding photos. He was very flexible as we were changing the plan around a bit the day of the wedding and he also was great with all our family photos, even though we did these outside in the cold with a large group an hour before sunset.... Overall we couldn't have been happier with our choice for a photographer. Our wedding photos were available quickly (we got the teasers while on our honeymoon!) and they are so beautiful. We have received so many compliments on the photos as well as on how unobtrusive Tom was, yet he captured the entire day perfectly. Thanks Tom!

We hired Tom Nichol as our wedding photographer and his services more than exceeded our expectations. Searching for a photographer was time consuming and not an easy decision simply because there are many wedding photographers in the Chicagoland area to choose from. When we came across Tom at the Geneva Wedding Walk we felt very comfortable speaking with him and was impressed with his work he had on display.
We had Tom for the entire day for our wedding. He was on time, very professional, a tireless worker as he was constantly taking photos during the course of the day up to the very end of the reception.
We received many compliments from our family and friends when we displayed our wedding photos online. We had an overwhelming number of great photos to choose from for our wedding album which was a challenging (and good) task to have.
Tom has a great artistic eye and with his enthusiasm and passion towards his work it's not surprising why he very good at what he does.
My husband and I highly recommend Tom and we feel fortunate that we made the right decision to hire him as our photographer.

Tom did an awesome job capturing all the special moments on our wedding day. We were blown away with the quality of our pictures and professionalism that Tom portrayed. We get nothing but compliments from our family and friends about how beautiful our pictures look. I think the best part of working with Tom was the type of person he is. Although our wedding wasn't until 4:30pm, he was willing to meet our bridesmaids early in the morning at the salon without hesitation. He went above and beyond what he needed to do to make sure our wedding day was the most important day of our lives. I would recommend Tom Nicol to anyone who is looking for a wedding photographer.

Tom did an excellent job for our very informal wedding. We emphasized that we wanted mostly candid photos - capturing people's conversations and eye contact with one another. He was always looking, preparing for the moments when no one was watching. When someone's giggle turned into a laugh, when a hug became an embrace. He saw these moments at our wedding; between my husband and I, and between our family members. There are pictures of moments that only those in the photo will remember, and cherish.

Tom captured the memories of our wedding day, superbly.

Tom was wonderful to work with. He was willing to work around my crazy work schedule to make our meetings, engagement pictures, and wedding day pictures happened. I am not photogenic, and really had no clue what I wanted in pictures, and he was very insightful and full of ideas.

Also, I really wanted to have a lot of pictures of my family (I have a HUGE family) included in our wedding day. We took many group shots, and he remained patient and flexible through the whole process.

He did such a wonderful job capturing those candid moments.

Tom was Fabulous to work with! Very accommodating and helpful. We had a possibility of a slight glitch of changing our date (due to the holdiay. Tom was willing to work with us and even give us our deposit back if it didn't work out. You don't see that type of professionalism/understanding theses days. Well, It ended up going as planned and worked out PERFECTLY!

Tom was absolutely fantastic. I had previously met Tom when our paths crossed several times at various events around Chicago, so I was familiar with his work. I knew that he was the best choice to photograph our wedding. And I was right. From our engagement session until the end of the reception, Tom was nothing but professional. Tom was fantastic to work with from start to finish! My husband and I could not be happier with the finished product. My husband is actually a photographer and videographer, so choosing someone for our wedding was no walk in the park! In the end, we were both beyond thrilled with Tom's pricing, professionalism and of course the final prints!

It did rain on our wedding day, but Tom managed to work through that complication without any additional pressure put on us or our guests. He spent all night on the dance floor capturing some of the best moments of the night, and we received multiple compliments from family and guests on his professionalism and work throughout the evening.

My husband and I just received our photos from the wedding and could not be more pleased with how they turned out. Tom actually had to travel a few hours to get to our wedding venue but was there from the morning through the reception with us. He was super easy to work with and caught some amazing moments we will treasure. We are ecstatic about our experience with Tom.

The candid and posed photos truly captured the joy that we all shared at our wedding. He seemed to be present everywhere without being intrusive in any way. Tom grabbed pictures that were only available for fleeting seconds--children dancing, people laughing, tears, smiles and hugs.

Tom understood our wedding and what we wanted after just a couple of chats. He made a plan to record the event and had the flexibility to respond to things as they happened on the wedding day. The event was outdoors on a sunny day and provided challenges for appropriate exposures and posing that used available light. The final pictures show Tom's attention to detail and eye for excellent composition.

He was very responsive to e-mail. We both live far away from the wedding site so we worked out all of the details remotely and over e-mail. When the plan didn't work out the way that we all thought it would, Tom just adjusted what he had planned to do.

Tom did an absolutely amazing job on our wedding. All the pictures were exactly what I wanted. He was great at communicating through email. This is especially helpful because I had booked him about a year in advance. The early part of the day of the wedding was chaos. When Tom showed up (early!) I didn't have to tell him to do much; he went ahead and took beautiful pictures of the bouquets and my dress while I ran around getting ready. They turned out wonderful. He was extremely nice and a pleasure to work with. The greatest aspect of hiring Tom was that we received the rights to the photos along with a CD of them all. This one on thing that set him apart from the other photographers I was looking at. Not only did we get copies of the pictures but he also sent us a wedding photo book with 100 pictures that we chose. We absolutely loved how it turned out. He is a remarkable wedding photographer!!

I honestly could not say enough wonderful things about Tom Nichol. His dedication, patience, and creativity gave my husband and I the most beautiful way to remember our special day, through his spectacular pictures. We were never the kind of people who love to have our pictures taken,but after working with Tom on our engagement pictures, we felt so comfortable we knew we had chosen the perfect photographer. He is talented as well as unobtrusive, and during the entire wedding we never had to worry about our guests' experience being ruined by a pushy, "in your face" photographer. I received numerous compliments on Tom's professionalism both during and after the ceremony, and that was before seeing his magnificent work. My pictures are breathtaking! Let me say it again, amazing! Both engagement and wedding photos exceeded any and all expectations. As for value Tom cannot be beat. I worked in the sales industry for over ten years and I know value when I see it. Not only are Tom's prices extremely reasonable, he is upfront and consistent. There were no unpleasant surprise charges that some brides encounter. I have known many brides that paid double what we paid and their photos do not compare. On the opposite end I know couples that spent just a little less than we did and the photos had no excitement and looked canned. It took me so long to write this review because it's truly hard to put into words how much it meant o us to have Tom there for our special day. The best part, besides our big day, is being able to relive our wedding anytime we want by looking at our special pictures hitch we will cherish for a lifetime! I can't express enough how pleased we are with not only his service but the finished product. Best decision hands down! Thank you Tom! We are recommending you to everyone!

We absolutely LOVE Tom. He is flexible, affordable and goes above and beyond. He even got us a few previews the day after our wedding. Our engagement photos were great-he was able to capture the life of hte party and listened to what was important to my husband and me. He started at 930am and went until 11:30pm and was a great sport in the freezing cold. I highly recommend Tom!

My husband and I are so happy that we chose to work with Tom for our wedding day photography! When we first met Tom, we knew we had found the right fit for us. We had a great time working with (and getting to know) Tom during our engagement session at Fabyan Forest Preserve on a slightly chilly but beautiful spring Saturday morning and loved the outcome. Tom really captured our love for the Chicago Bears and each other! On our wedding day, Tom was already at Prairie Landing ready to work when the girls and I arrived. Our engagement and wedding photos from Tom were absolutely AMAZING!!! I cant rave enough about how happy we are with all of our photos. From the very beginning, Tom was easy to work with, had wonderful ideas for picture locations, poses, etc., and we never felt rushed working with him. Our engagement shoot lasted well over 2 hours and the only reason it wasnt longer was because the sun went down. I was very nervous about how our engagement photos would turn out because I had braces on for them. Tom assured me that they would still look wonderful and he was completely right- you cant even tell I have them on!!

The day of our wedding, Tom was early (huge plus) and got every photograph we could imagine!! He was extremely professional and braced the 40 degree Dec weather to get the perfect outdoor shots. After seeing our photos, it is going to be so difficult choosing what images to hang throughout our house because they all turned out well. Even during our "viewing party", all of our friends and family commented on how exquisite our photos looked. As a bride, I couldn't be any happier and would recommend Tom to anyone looking for a photographer!!!

We found Tom based on a friend's recommendation, and we couldn't have been happier with the results. He includes an engagement photo session in the package, so that he can get a feel for each unique couple and form a personal relationship. The day of the wedding, he got all the right candids without drawing any attention whatsoever, and he stayed until the very last song was over.
We live overseas, so communication could have been an issue, but he was very responsive, flexible, and understanding. The photos are beautiful, and I can't look at them enough!

I cannot say enough about Toms value and abilities as a photographer. He was so easily accessible prior to answer all of my questions, and provided me with everything I wanted. His composition and ability to capture a moment is amazing. I would recommend him to anyone. One look at his work and you'll be hooked.

Tom was excellent. I could not have asked for better pictures of our wedding and an amazing engagement session to boot! Very flexible Tom was willing to travel to our any and all of our desired locations and was very attentive to our questions and emails leading up to and the day of. Offering great advice about day of timeframe his attention to detail was spot on.
We had some unfortunate weather on our big day but Tom did not bat an eye he was on top of the last minute changes and worked with us getting extra indoor shots and when the weather gods blessed us with a break in the storm he was right there to help us get some of the best shots in the shortened time frame getting all my requested pics and more. The short video he put up of our pictures was way better than a videographer and a product that my family continues to ask to view. I could not have asked for a better experience.
I advise all brides to have a list of people they want photos of instead of poses and Tom will make sure that the photo is at the perfect time and setting. Attentive service, quality product, friendly and flexible and very affordable, Tom Nicol’s photography is a service I would recommend to friends, family and more!

Only have good things to say about Tom Nicol We won a free engagement session from him at the Eaglebrook CC Taste Testing, and the photos he captured were priceless! I asked for his advice on where to have our pictures taken and he recommended Leroy Oaks in Saint Charles- what a beautiful place, and he took full advantage of all the natural elements Leroy Oaks has to offer! Tom is great at responding quickly to calls/emails and he is very flexible. I could not believe how fast he got our pictures available to view online! Would recommend him to anyone!

Tom was fabulous to work with - from start to finish. He agreed to meet us before signing the contract, and he did so by meeting us close to home. He was very quick to respond to questions, and he made sure we received the package/services that we needed. On the day itself, he was very prompt, friendly, and was very comfortable to work with. He made everyone feel at ease, which is key to making sure that the pictures turn out great, which they did. Overall, Tom made the entire photography process from planning to delivery an exceptional experience. We highly recommend him.

Tom Nicol is the best photographer for many reasons not just the awesome pictures he took of my daughter and her fiance for their engagement photos. He was easy to get a hold of, always returned our emails timely!! The engagement pictures are beautiful all different poses and backgrounds. The pictures were available for us to look at almost right away!!! His prices are also very reasonable. He is very personable and open for suggestions if you want a certain pose!! I would highly recommend Tom Nicol and your wedding day will be photographed beautifully!!!

Tom photographed my wedding this past August. I was extremely pleased with Tom's responsiveness (before and after the wedding), his experience and his attention to detail. He was very professional and took incredible pictures. He captured exactly how I would describe my wedding through the photographs. We received great value and service throughout. Tom Nicol Photography is excellent! He is such a great photographer and it's evident that he takes great pride in his work. He made us feel very comfortable and took some amazing shots of our surprise wedding. I was very pleasantly surprised when I received the photos and saw all the great candids he took of the day and how well the posed shots turned out. He really has an eye for photography.
Our photo package was also a great deal and a big selling point for us! He provided so much at a great price.
I love looking at my pictures and it brings me back to my wedding day every time I see them.

Tom Nicol’s photography is more than taking photos. He has an eye and instinct to capture those special moments in time in a photo. My wedding photos are absolutely gorgeous and breathtaking.
There are moments he caught that I don’t remember and there are others that brought joyful tears to my eyes. My friends and relatives who have viewed the photos are absolutely amazed at the beautiful pictures. Tom has a great personality, is wonderful to work with and his skill in photography is superb.

Tom was excellent. Our engagement and wedding pictures turned out beautiful. I was greatly impressed by the fact that he was able to have our pictures ready within a week. We were also able to view our pictures on his website and I loved how he had a slideshow with music in the background. I definately would recommend him to all my friends and family. The price was also excellent, we saved over $1,000.00.

Tom was easy to work with and flexible. Our engagement shoot was on one of the hottest days during the summer, he kept us going and engaged in the session and got some really nice shots.
The wedding day was fantastic. He arrived at the salon on time and ready to go. He blended into the group and everything we were doing so well that often times I forgot he was around!
We had an outside wedding and the photos are amazing. His use of the landscape and placement of the attendants is such a beautiful composition.
Only time we had any reservations was during family photos. He was indecisive on where to place people. We have a large extended family and we were really looking to for his expertise on placement and felt this was his one weak area during our wedding.
Other then that, he was fantastic. Easy to get along with and wonderful to have as an addition to our wedding day.

Tom is an amazing photographer and so wonderful to work with! My wedding pictures are beautiful. He takes his time with each picture to capture the just right moments. This is his strongest quality as a photographer. I feel some photographers snap away like crazy taking pictures of whatever surrounds them, Tom spends the time to get it right, but still takes plenty of shots! I got all the tiny details at the reception that I worked so hard on. He was extremely flexible and willing to travel to meet us at whatever location we wanted. He is extremely affordable, which is of course a plus. He was always professional and responsive and took time to get to know my family. He always responded quickly to all e-mails and we received our pictures very quickly. The only things I wished I had pictures of at the wedding was a picture of each table at the reception right after dinner so we could remember all of our guests (we got some groups of people, but not all) and I wish I would have asked for a picture of myself with each bridesmaid and my husband with each groomsman. I don't have a really great picture with just my maid of honor and I. Anything I would have asked for though, wouldn't have been a problem. Tom is more than willing to take shots of specific poses or other things you want. I 100% recommend him as your wedding/engagement photo photographer. You won't be disappointed! Again, my photos are absolutely amazing!!!

Amazing photos at a great value!

Tom was amazing to work with! His pricing is reasonable and his pictures are stunning (especially the outdoor photos). Our wedding day was July 10th, 2020 and we ended up doing a small ceremony to honor the day but pushed the reception and everything else back to next year due to the safety concerns of our guests. Tom was flexible and super accommodating. He came to our ceremony this year, without additional charge, to capture the day for us and then agreed to helping us out next year as well! We can't thank him enough and we are so happy we chose him!
