Amazing experience
Panina is so skilled and versatile that she perfected a glamorous look for my best friends wedding back in October 2019 and went above and beyond to bring to live a boho woodland look I’d dreamed for my own wedding this past week. She has such an amazing vibe and really made the whole experience comfortable and fun. I’m so grateful that she was there and able to be a part of my wedding day. I would highly recommend her to anyone with their own big event coming up since she’s proven how versatile and skilled she truly is.
Attached I have a picture from an hour into the day and the back of my hair at the end of the day (5 hours later). -

I first had the opportunity to meet her when she did my makeup at a friends wedding where I was a bridesmaid. Her charm and wit attracted me to her, and her knowledge of products made me feel that I could trust her to make me look amazing (and to tell me the truth when I don't!) Pinina has since been the MUA for my wedding, more of our friends weddings, and even some special events and portraits. She is extremely flexible, approachable, and well liked by her clients. I would never recommend a MUA to my best friend on her wedding day unless I was SURE she would deliver the most exceptional product. Pinina is my number one go-to. -
User1821933 Sent on 09/21/2014Hired for bridal hair, MOB hair, and 3 BM's hair. Day of hair looked different than my trial but there was no time to have her start over and fix it. Her curling iron barrel was too large and didn't create the same curl I had during my trial. Asked if she had experience with African American hair before hiring her, she said yes, but on the wedding day she was unable to get my matron of honor's hair to curl and I basically paid her to put her hair in a side pony tail! Not what she had wanted. While we did have a 15 minute late start, she took over an 1hr longer than she stated on completing everyone's hair and made us late for the ceremony. When she demanded payment she charged me $175 more than what the contract stated. I realized this in the days following the wedding, and had to contact her for a refund. She didn't apologize nor do I think she would have ever notified me of her error. Very unprofessional. I would be very careful about choosing to use her for special occasion hair services.TicTacToeArtistry's reply:
It's extremely unsettling to hear your version of the day's events. I spoke with my bride during the trial and informed her it would take 30 min per client to execute hair and that on the day of we would need to start at 10:00am in order to do 5 people's hair and be ready by 1. This would give us 30 min of wiggle room in case anyone was running late. I contacted my bride the night before to confirm the time we were starting and to wish her a happy rehearsal dinner, which I believe goes above and beyond to ensure my clients happiness. The bride then asked if we could start at 10:30 instead and I cautioned her as to how time usually works at these things and that she wouldn't want to rush. She then told me that she would not be there at 10 but her bridal party would. Day of I was prompt and there was only the mother of the bride in the bridal suite who was getting her makeup done. After setting up, I waited and waited and finally went down to the lobby to look for bridal party members where I met the bride and one of her bridesmaids and then helped them carry things up to the bridal suite. When I was finally able to get started doing hair it was a 10:45. I then proceeded to do 5 ppl by 1:30. The brides hair was not exactly the same as in the trial because after doing 3 different looks in the trial she decided to do a combination of the first and third looks and is now trying to pass it off as me not being able to recreate her look. As for African American hair, I am well versed in African American hair styling but as any African American will tell you, it doesn't matter how many times you try to curl it the pre-straightened oiled hair will not hold a curl, b/c of the oil. I executed the style to the best of my ability to the picture given to me (a stylized side pony). Twice curling the hair yielded the same results. Yes there was some confusion of payment that was resolved as soon as you called me and I never demanded payment and apologized profusely for the mistake.
