I never would have thought to get my wedding cake from a casino, but a friend recommended them. I LOVED my cake! I gave them a picture of what I wanted from Pinterest and they made it perfectly. I even was a bit difficult by asking for cake flavors that weren't on their order form, but they were able to do it! I can't recommend them highly enough. Definitely contact David with Thunder Valley Cafe/Bakery. The price was great too!

Lost our credit card authorization form on our wedding night and nearly made the father of the bride drive all the way to Lincoln to fill it out before the couple could check in.

I hope this review helps not only prospective brides, but also Thundervalley. The quality of customer service provided was low and the accessibility of the Day of and Event staff was lacking. One thing that a staff member stated and continued to stick with me throughout our process was “a wedding is just like a corporate event”. I understand Thundervalley has hosted many corporate events and banquets and may be very good at timing and food service execution, but please know a wedding is NOT the same as a corporate event. The emotions and expectations that go into planning a wedding run very high and if the wedding business is something Thundervalley is planning on breaking into they need to increase the level of service provided to the bride. Other venues we considered were very attentive and I know from my other girlfriends (some of who are in the wedding industry) that the level of customer service other brides receive was/is much higher than we received. It would often take weeks to hear back on questions I had. We would set an appointment and then they would cancel or reschedule on us (this happened multiple times). The communication was pretty much all via email, which again, might be fine for business events where an office is admin is writing a check and ok’ing small details, but for a wedding where the bride has dreamt of this event for her whole life, the level of hand holding and catering needs to be much higher and personalized. I even told them a couple months into the planning that I was unhappy and needed some more hand holding, but it didn’t really improve. I don’t think they even asked us how we met or how he proposed…which may seem small, but it is a big deal and just goes to show their mind set of business first. I don’t mean to keep harping on the Thundervalley staff, I know this was new for them, but I don’t think I had unreal expectations. I was just looking for some customer service and help.
