You need Thrive to cater your wedding!

We began working with Thrive a little over one year before our wedding. Nikki was our point of contact throughout the process and made everything so easy! We had a lot of changes throughout the planning process and Nikki was incredibly patient and accommodating the entire time. The food for our wedding was the most important part to us and Thrive truly knocked it out of the park. We had three passed apps for cocktail hour, family style dinner and a dessert buffet. We got so many compliments on the food! I promise that no one left hungry. The service was amazing as well! We did have a sweetheart table, so even though we did family style, they still plated everything for us. The captain was attentive, but not disruptive and kept our drinks full! Something that really stood out to me was how custom the whole evening was to us. If you want something, just ask and they will make it happen.

Great food & service!

Thrive food is top notch. My husband and I were planning a destination wedding which meant taking a leap of faith and not trying the food prior to the big day. The food was better than anyone could have anticipated, seriously. Every single plate had either nothing left on it or just a bit of food left, and I heard over and over again how great the cocktail hour, dinner and late night snack (grilled cheese!) were, and we agree! There’s a reason Thrive is on every vendor’s favorites list. Thank you so much for everything!

Professional Staff and Delicious Food

I booked Thrive for my wedding and it was one of the best decisions. My guests loved the food! Lots of options for different budgets/tastes. Both my husband and I have food allergies and Thrive went above and beyond in meeting us with those!

absolutely delicious

Everyone was raving about the pecan-crusted fish. So many people complimented us on the cinnamon rolls we had along side our decadent chocolate cake. Honestly, the food was just so delicious. The team was great to work with and was very accommodating of food restrictions and allergies.

Delicious Wedding Food Stations

Carrison and I would like to thank the whole Thrive Catering team for providing such excellent service at our wedding. Everyone loved the hors d'oeuvres served during cocktail hour. We received so many positive comments about the ease of the fabulous stations. The prime rib, shrimp and grits, potato bar, and biscuit bar were favorites of our guests. Highly recommend Thrive catering!

We would highly recommend Thrive to anyone getting married in the Savannah/Beaufort area! From the first tasting we had with them, we knew we would be in good hands using their services. The food was fantastic, and the whole team was amazing to work with. Niki was extremely helpful and prompt in the planning process as well. They went above and behind to help adjust our menu to make vegetarian and gluten free options as well. We feel that it is such a high honor when guests continue to rave about the high quality and taste of the wedding food! We decided to serve everything family style- which they executed perfectly! Guests loved that they were able to try all of the dishes and commented on how prompt everything was served. They also checked in with us/our planner several times throughout the night and ensured we had a plate to go! They even picked up the bartending duties when there was a glitch with the bartenders. We would highly recommend over and over again :)

Excellent Caterer

Delicious and Amazing!

I could not recommend Thrive Catering enough! We booked Thrive for our wedding at the Mackey House in November and they were excellent! From the tasting, which I definitely recommend doing, I knew we made the best choice possible! They helped us create the perfect menu with the southern flare we were looking for! Niki was super helpful and responsive while planning! Our guests are still talking about how amazing our food was at our wedding! Definitely recommend!

Best of the best!

From our initial inquiry to post-wedding vendor stress - Thrive Catering was the most pleasant, helpful, stress-free and caring vendor for our big day! When planning our first food tasting, they ensured that everything we wanted to try was available and plated to give us a sense of how it would look on our big day. The communication and care that the team at Thrive took throughout our planning experience, into the night of the wedding itself was second to none. Not to mention the food - 10/10!! They made it so hard to narrow down our selections because everything was SO good! Throughout our cocktail hour and dinner - they treated my husband, myself and our families like royalty. They knew how important the food experience was to us - and even had us sit down during the buffet-style dinner so that they could serve us our plates, full of each menu item! I was never empty handed, because their team brought us drinks (when the bar was technically handled by the venue.) They also handled our cake in-house - which was AMAZING. They boxed up our top tier so that we could enjoy it later in the week/month/year. Post-event, we had some issues with different vendors who left behind their inventory - and Thrive was able to locate the inventory and HAND-DELIVER it to the other vendor (40 min away) so that we weren’t charged an outrageous fee. I cannot say enough good things about the care that Thrive provided to us as clients. I 100% recommend them for any event, and plan to work with them again if I’m ever planning in the Savannah area. THE BEST OF THE BEST!!!

The Perfect Catering!

Working with Thrive Catering couldn't have been a better experience. The food was phenomenal, gorgeous and exactly what we wanted. The compliments from our guests were endless and im honestly still craving those crab cakes!! Chef Wendy was thoughtful and knowledgable and we truly couldn't have wished for a better catering experience for our wedding!

An amazing southern stations experience!

Yummyyyyy!

Thrive Catering was fantastic and exceeded all of our expectations from the very beginning. The initial tasting with Chef Wendy was out of this world delicious. Her flavors are so unique. Everyone loved our food at the wedding and raved about how different it was. We had wild salmon cakes, lamb, and other amazing sides. It was served family style which was fabulous because everyone could taste different things. Highly recommend!

Professional Catering at its BEST!

Our food for our destination wedding was AMAZING due to Thrive Catering. Niki, the Catering Sales Manager, worked with us from the beginning going over the menu and pricing. We also met with Chef Wendy and her team for a tasting and we couldn’t have been more satisfied with our food selection from the shrimp and grits and spring rolls during cocktail hour, to the farmers market salad, mac and cheese, buttermilk potatoes, bourbon collards, herb roasted chicken, and the grilled salmon, which we added last minute, for dinner. We had a family style table setting and it worked perfectly due to the size of the serving plates. We were very pleased with Thrive and would definitely recommend their services!!

Thrive is great!

Thrive catering is great! They are professional, friendly and easy to work work. Steven spent plenty of time with us before our event to make sure everything was just as we wanted. Chef Wendy is fantastic at what she does! All of our guests were happy and we were happier. We highly recommend Thrive for any event.

Wonderful food and service!

From the very first time we contacted Thrive to the very last time the service has been top notch. They will help you plan every part of the food service and then some. Steven and Chef Wendy made planning of food part of our wedding the least stressful part of our wedding. The guests could not stop talking about how delicious the food was! Fantastic Service

Steven and Thrive did an amazing job with our wedding. They paid attention to all the details and were very thorough, especially paying attention to COVID protocols. We loved all the food at the tasting, which made it difficult to choose, but we were extremely happy with our choices! We received rave reviews on the roasted acorn squash from guests - definitely a favorite! We also loved the boiled peanuts to start. They were professional and attentive and did a wonderful job making our day special!

Highly recommend!!

I cannot tell you how many rave compliments we received about Thrive catering at our wedding reception, they're amazing! Definitely recommend the hot honey sauce with the fried chicken (sooo good!). They were so easy to work with! Would recommend to anyone for any event!!!

Fantastic food!

It goes without saying that 2020 weddings aren't the same as their predecessors, but Thrive pulled it off with their new service standards and our wedding night was great. All our guests complimented the food, and their staff was absolutely phenomenal! I would hate for my guests to experience terrible service, but their waitstaff were professional, friendly, and very attentive. 100% recommend for any event in Savannah!

Best Caterers Ever!!

Chef Wendy is incredible, but so is her entire team! On the day-of, everyone we met from Thrive was so kind to us, constantly congratulating us and asking if we needed anything! Leading up to the event, Nikki, the sales manager, was amazing! We switched the menu so many times and she was always open and honest about everything we chose! For our meal, we had a cheese display which was stunning, and then passed chicken satay and shrimp and grits in little cups—so cute! Then we had a biscuit bar and paella station, both of which all my guests raved about all night long and for weeks after the wedding, and also we had a carving station with potatoes and Caesar salad. Then we had late night chick fil a esque sliders and fries for everyone—also out of this world! And they also did our entire dessert table, with passed Cuban coffee, one of the best key lime pies I’ve ever had, a cookie cake wedding cake, profiteroles that we’re unbelievable, and the list goes on and on. At the end of the night, we got to go boxes for each of us, which came in handy because we were starvinggg and barely got to eat during the reception. On top of which, their displays are really elegant and beautiful. 100% hire them! You won’t be sorry!

Upscale Taco Bar

I LOVE Mexican food and knew I wanted it to be a part of my day. I reached out to Thrive who created an upscale taco and quesadilla bar with quality and organic ingredients (i.e. homemade guac, cremini mushrooms, baja fish and homemade salsas in a variety of flavors) that was delicious and exceeded all my expectations. Additionally, Chef Wendy and Niki were so easy to work with -- incredibly communicative and full of great ideas to tweak their traditional menu to fit more with my theme (like swapping out traditional cornbread for jalapeno cornbread and infusing the water with mango). My guests are still raving about the food. I highly recommend Thrive Catering!

An Amazing Vow Renewal Weekend on Tybee

There is only one word for Wendy Armstrong and her Thrive team - SPECTACULAR(!) - in every phase of event planning and execution.

Thrive catered our daughter's wedding two years ago at the Gingerbread House and were 5 STARS in every category. We recently renewed our vows on Tybee and hosted two days of culinary-driven events for 30 close friends and family. Thrive knocked it out of the park - from meetings and menu planning to and through the events - both in food and service categories.

Friday was at the Guardhouse and started with a beautiful ice sculpture and seafood display and other original and creative appetizers. Dinner featured local prime prime rib, sous vide lobster tails, house smoked chicken and too many other beautifully prepared entrees, sides and desserts to mention.

Saturday was a near ocean-side low country boil and pig roast. Absolutely amazing - and Chef Carl really knows his low country boils!

They worked diligently to ensure that food throughout the weekend was local and farm to table as much as possible and even pleased our vegetarian friends and dessert lovers.

Wendy and her team were outstanding in EVERY facet of our events. Every dish was perfectly prepared - no hiccups whatsoever. The service staff deserves 10 stars for their fun and impeccable service. I wish we could remember everyone's name - they really deserve individual kudos for their level of service!

Thrive is an absolute pleasure to work with and, without question, the best we have ever worked with on catered events!

Thrive Catering was EXCEPTIONAL at our wedding!

My entire experience with Thrive Catering- specifically Niki, Steven, and Chef Wendy- was incredible! I cannot recommend them enough! So many of our wedding guests commented on how delicious the food was at our 142 person reception, from the passed h'or doeuvres to the beautifully presented dinner buffet. I myself have never had better food at a wedding- it was amazing! Great food and professional service

First I want to say THANK YOU for providing amazing service throughout our whole process. The food we sampled was amazing and the food on our wedding day was delicious!!!

I have a family member who does catering at their restaurant who admitted that your food was better and was VERY impressed.

Your staff was amazing and very kind and professional!!! We ran a little ahead of schedule and they made sure to get the food ready a little quicker than expected. They also made sure my bridesmaids and I were taken care of in the back room before the ceremony started.

Great food!

From the very beginning Thrive Catering has taken great care of us. They warmly welcomed us to our tasting, thoughtfully walked us trough our options and thoroughly assisted us in our selections. I rave about them because they made a difference in our day. Steven was the day-of Captain and he made it a point to find us and feed us - so important brides. Amazing Vegetarian Menu!

My wife and I are so happy that we chose Thrive Catering for our wedding last February! Chef Wendy did an amazing job helping us build a vegetarian menu that ALL of our guests raved about and loved. We had a wonderful time at our tasting (make sure you go on an empty stomach). It was extremely difficult to whittle down our selections since we loved absolutely everything we tried! We ultimately settled on avocado fries, empanadas, vegetable lasagna, vegan stuffed pepper, and a delicious portobello steak. Again, even our most difficult to please meat eaters were impressed and satisfied. We planned our wedding from out of town and working with Chef Wendy and Nikki was a complete breeze. We highly highly recommend you book Thrive Catering for your wedding or large event!

Stellar, Dream-like, Scrumptious

The service and food was amazing. It was even better than I imagined. The attention to detail, flavor and service. Everyone from Nikki, the customer/bride manager, to Wendy, the chef, and everyone in between - made the day feel like a dream come true.

Nikki helped me come up with various price options and buffet styles. The tasting solidified what we wanted. Three weeks before the event we solidified the menu. I thought it was rushed, but oh my...! They know what they are doing and it went off without a hitch - and even better, and more delicious than I imagined.

I regret I did not get to thank each of them personally with a hug and big thank you. It was absolutely stellar!

Thrive is the best!

Thrive Catering is the best! We were looking to give our guests a true southern cuisine experience so we chose stations- a Biscuit Bar, Shrimp & Grits, Salad and Brisket. I won't lie, people are still talking about the shrimp and grits- it was SO good. Other big highlights were the passed horderves-chicken & waffles, fried green tomatoes and lobster rolls- and the dessert bar with chocolate mousse shooters, pumpkin whoopee pies and cannolis. Another wonderful part of Thrive is their presentation- their food stations look like a work of art. The tables are uniquely decorated and extremely appetizing looking- no boring silver buffet treys. Not to mention the fact that they utilize organic and sustainable ingredients which is a great plus. They also offer bamboo plates for those who want to be a bit more environmentally conscious while planning an event. Also, the staff is amazing- Niki and Wendy are so easy to work with and extremely communicative. You always hear stories about how the bride and groom never got to eat their own food at the wedding and Thrive went out of their way to make it easy for us! They made plates for us and even packed us to-go boxes when we left for the hotel!

This is NOT your run of the mill wedding catering company, Thrive is the real deal with great food. If quality food is important to you when planning your wedding, we highly recommend using them!

Cocktail Reception

The food was for our cocktail reception and was AMAZING! Everything was just exactly what we expected, and more, and everyone raved about the buffet. I can't say enough about this fabulous caterer. Thrive catered my husband's 60th birthday party and they were simply outstanding on every level. From the moment the staff and chef arrived to the moment they left, I felt we were in the most capable hands. In addition, the food was simply exceptional. My husband and I are from Colorado and South Africa and we wanted to incorporate a "sustainable" and "healthy" theme for our party. Thrive had numerous options on their extensive menu and our guests raved about how delicious the food was. They were also extremely accommodating to those with food sensitivities, so several of our guests were provided with alternative choices. I can't think of a single thing that could have been improved upon. Thank you, Wendy. Your food, staff and business model is simply exceptional.

We worked with Thrive Catering for our wedding in March 2018. It all went great and we would highly recommend working with Thrive. Wendy and team were easy to work with and communicative and responsive throughout our planning process. We tasted samples in advance and requested a few customizations, which all were implemented perfectly for the event. The macaroni and cheese bar and pie stations were both particularly big hits with our guests. We want to particularly note that we appreciated Thrive's willingness and ability to embrace sustainable practices. We wanted our wedding to be as sustainable as possible, which is part of the reason we chose Thrive. We were very happy they provided non-disposable china and, for the few items that were disposable, the items were recyclable and/or compostable. We also appreciated their sourcing of local food. We had a Cinco de Mayo themed rehearsal dinner and Thrive did not disappoint. From the first email to the night of our dinner the Thrive team were attentive, responsive, professional and friendly. You could tell they cared about the food and your experience. We had a vegan special request and they knocked it out of the park! The vegan sweet potato and black bean empanadas were FANTASTIC!! Everything the ladies cooked was top notch. I wish we could go back and have our rehearsal dinner again, it seriously was delicious! The wedding/reception was held at the Gingerbread House. The entire event was spectacular and Thrive Catering was truly outstanding. The entire Thrive staff, from chef/owner Wendy Armstrong to the entire team, were very easy to work with and personable yet professional. They responded quickly during the planning process and all communications were clear and right on point. The event staff was gracious, accommodating, congenial and first class. The final reception menu presented exceeded our expectations - presentations were outstanding ... and creative, action stations were staffed with friendly faces who knew exactly what they were doing ... and cooking, all food items were perfect (flavors, doneness, etc.) and were accessible to the many diverse taste buds at the reception. There were too many specific food highlights to mention but our guests raved about EVERYTHING! Very HIGH-5's all around! If we did another event in Savannah, we would make ONE phone call ... to Thrive!

Thrive couldn't have been better. They're the only sustainability minded caterer in town, which was a bonus, and were incredibly kind and responsive. Katherine was quick to respond via email, which was great since we were planning from a distance. Thrive made adjustments to the menu after the tasting, which was all delicious and beautifully presented. They truly are fine dining that comes to you! They pay their staff a living wage, and that was important to us too.

Our guests (and we!) had a marvelous time and as someone who's family was in the catering business there were no complaints at all. Water glasses always full, shrimp cooked perfectly, happy vegetarians and vegans, great cleanup, on time set up. Everyone on staff was very kind and the food was delicious. Thank you for working with us and your attentiveness!

I am not from Savannah but wanted to celebrate my birthday there. I consider myself extremely lucky to have found Thrive Catering, Katherine was so profesional and helpful....I am a hotelier and a hostess at heart...so I really wanted everything to be perfect ....The night of my bday was when Hermine hurricane was supposed to hit Savannah, the people from the table and chair rentals cancelled on me the last minute...I called Katherine immediately and she was so calm and fixed it in a couple of hours...she coordinated for me to get tables, chairs, decorations, the day before of my bday with a hurricane on its way!!! To make matters worse the power went off at the house where I was doing my dinner party! BUT OMG..everything turned out PERFECT PERFECT!! Everything was on time....the table was set to look like a million dollars..wish you all could see it! The service was impecable....it was a plated dinner ....the food looked marvelously plated....tasted amazing.....what can I say...it looked like I had planned it for a year...and we did it over the phone a week and half before!! I wish Katherine lived where I live so I could cater from Thrive all the time!!

Thrive Catering is simply brilliant. My husband and I are from California, so planning a wedding across the country proved to be difficult. I stumbled across Thrive through my various searches and after our first phone call with Katherine, I knew we found some truly special folks. The tasting only solidified that. Meeting with Katherine (Catering Manager) and Wendy (Chef and Owner) in person really put me at ease. They took the time to hear my ideas, lend their expert knowledge, and craft a menu that was personally tailored and absolutely delicious!

On our wedding day, Wendy and her team worked their magic! While the wedding party was running around taking pictures during the cocktail hour, Wendy and her manager made sure to keep us fed and brought up a tray of appetizers. (thank you for that, it was much needed!) All of our guests were blown away with the professionalism of the team and could not stop complimenting the delicious food.

The biggest thing I looked for when choosing a vendor was how well we worked together. Katherine was simply amazing. She guided me through the menu selection process and wasn't afraid to lend her opinion if she had other ideas. I could not have asked for a better person to work with - she really helped to make our wedding something special!

Thrive definitely takes pride in their work and the quality of their food. If you are looking for locally sourced, delicious food, with fantastic customer service that will blow your guests away - look no further!

The staff at Thrive goes above and beyond your needs. First class all the way. The attention to detail is top notch. As a chef myself, I could not ask for better food and service. We were taken care of from the very beginning and never had to ask for anything. Katherine made sure that the wedding party was fed first and brought food out to us while we were taking pictures. The food was amazing and we felt like family members, not clients. Our plates were served and drinks kept full without us even seeing them do it. During the tasting everything was so good and it was difficult for us to narrow it down to a wedding menu. We had MANY guests tell us it was the best wedding food they had ever eaten. They are worth every penny.

It was a pleasure to work with Katherine at Thrive Catering!! My husband and I did a destination wedding and met with Katherine back in October 2015. Katherine's baker did our wedding cake. I was beyond amazed at how our cake and food turned out!! The red velvet cake was to die for! We also did the hummingbird, lemon, and chocolate mini cupcakes. Our dinner was buffet style and we did the really local low country broil along with the biscuit bar with chicken and shredded Pork bbq. Everything was amazing as well as the service that her waiter/waitress' provided. We did not do a taste testing when we met in October, a I was always worried about how the food and cake would turn out. Weather you decide to do the taste testing or not, I can assure you, Katherine will take care of everything. Hands down the best around Savannah/Tybee Island, GA!!

Katherine and her team provided catering, a bartender, and linens for our March 5th wedding reception at Red Gate Farms. From the very beginning of the planning process working with Katherine was such a breeze. She was very prompt with answering emails, provided great suggestions, and was totally flexible when we decided to pretty much completely change the original menu. On the day of the wedding, Katherine and her team arrived right on time and got to work making the barn and buffet area look awesome. Everyone raved about how good the food was during the reception and kept going back for more! Our menu included salmon, beef brisket, mashed potatoes, asparagus, and chicken fingers for the kids. The buffet worked well for my group of about 75. My husband and I sat at our own private sweetheart table and we were both grateful for a server from Katherine's team who was very attentive to us, asking if we needed anything, opening our champagne bottle, and refilling our champagne glasses. Such a special touch that we weren't expecting! Katherine, thank you for a delicious dinner and awesome service. You and your team helped to make our reception a night to remember!

We used Thrive Catering for our son's graduation from SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design). Katherine was prompt, helpful, creative, and delivered a five start meal. Every aspect of the meal exceeded my expectations. Gourmet food and service for a very competitive price. I highly recommend them. Having a destination wedding can be hard enough on it's own, but thanks to everyone at Thrive Catering, we were able to enjoy ourselves and have the most memorable wedding experience! We contacted Katherine after seeing good reviews on "TheKnot.com" and scheduled a tasting for the next time we would be in Savannah. At the tasting, we met Wendy, the chef, and were absolutely blown away by the food. Katherine was also able to help us by recommending other vendors for our wedding since we were from out of town.

Thrive's pricing was just right and the website was easy to navigate. They were able to adjust our menu so that there was something for everyone to enjoy. On the day of our wedding, the staff arrived right on time and did a marvelous job-they really made it easy for us to enjoy everything else that was happening! I would absolutely work with Thrive again in the future!

Thrive went above and beyond what a normal caterer would do! The food was amazing, everyone at my wedding told me multiple times how incredible the food was! They were able to execute a very unique menu combination of both southern and Cuban favorites! The depth of the chef's talent was exceptional. The staff were very professional and easy/flexible to work with. A true bargain for delicious food and a refreshingly friendly and professional service!

I used Thrive for catering for my wedding on 4/10/16 and throughout the entire reception I had guests commenting on how good the food was (we did buffet style) and how it was some of the best wedding food they'd ever tasted. We also used them for a 2 tiered cake (we did the lavender flavor) and it was absolutely delicious... again, we had guests commenting on this all night as well. In addition to the quality of the food (who doesn't love farm to table with local ingredients) the staff was incredibly helpful and quick to respond throughout the entire planning process. Katherine was amazing and always wrote back so quickly; I felt like she always had our best interest in mind. I would highly recommend this catering company to anyone looking for an event caterer!

This was a destination wedding so we had no knowledge of local caterers. We had rented a large home in the historic district and the owner had given us a list. My daughter was drawn to Thrive Catering because they featured locally sourced items. After a tasting, we also chose them to do the rehearsal dinner, a Low Country Boil. The food was absolutely delicious for both events, beautifully presented as well. Our guests raved about the food. The staff could not have been more helpful and gracious. Katherine Hankey, the catering manager, was so helpful from beginning to end in choosing items to serve, ideas for setup, etc. I can't say enough nice things about her and her staff! They were a big part of it being a fabulous weekend!!

We wanted to hire a caterer that used green practices and sourced local, organic food while providing unique and high quality dishes. Thrive gave us everything we asked for, and worked with us to create a delicious custom menu for our wedding. They also provided the cake and it was just scrumptious. I loved working Katherine, and all the staff at our event were quick and polite and professional. I had absolutely no complaints from any guests, only compliments and people thanking me for "upgrading" the food. So many thanks to Thrive for making our wedding unforgettable!

Thrive provided bartenders in addition to the catering and cake/cupcakes a wedding reception. The food was absolutely delicious and we received numerous compliments. The cake was gorgeous and many guests said it was the best wedding cake they had ever had (including the mini cupcakes). The serving staff and bartenders were very professional and pleasant. They all worked so hard to make sure everything was perfect. In the planning process, Thrive was very accommodating and very easy to work with. We even added some menu items when I gave the final count. All in all, we were thrilled with our decision to use Thrive.

I cannot say enough amazing things about Thrive. Katherine was the fastest vendor we had responding to us and she was always on top of everything. She was a huge help in assisting us to select the menu that was best for our budget, the number of guest, the time of day, and accommodating various food allergies/food preferences. We had a phenomenal time at our tasting, which the chef insisted on ending with dessert even though we weren't getting dessert through them. We had just a few minor changes and Katherine was sure follow up with us to make sure they had noted exactly what we wanted for our big day. She even helped me out choosing beer/wine when our bartender calls at the last minute. The food at our wedding was outstanding! Everything came out at the perfect temperature, was presented beautifully, and the servers were very professional . They were always nearby but were never the way and managed to gracefully navigate 16 children running around and handled one very drunk groomsman with more grace than I could have imagined. Our guests are still talking about the food and said that we could not have come up with a better combination of items. The kids buffet was a huge hit too....even the little ones were happy. If you have the chance, I would definitely use Thrive again and would highly recommend them!

Katherine and her whole team are simply amazing! They worked with my budget and catered to our tastes. She had great ideas for how to make my budget stretch and even helped set up a bar tender for us. We had our reception in our backyard and of course, it rained, but they quickly moved all the food inside so it didn't get wet and soggy. They moved our furniture around and made our living room into a great looking buffet. We didn't know any of this even happened because we were busy saying our vows. When we arrived, she had a glass of wine for me and a beer in hand for my husband. Everything looked great and all 175 of our guests raved about the food and the service. After the reception was over, her team cleaned everything up until it was spotless. It probably looked better after they left which was nice. She packed us a to-go box which we devoured later in the evening because we didn't have time to eat at the reception. If you're looking for a professional and personable team, look no further! Highly recommend!! Hope to use them again for other events in the future.

Thrive's food was delicious! We enjoyed a combination of passed appetizers (folks raved abut the wild mushroom tartlets and the creamy shrimp and grits) along with several serving stations. Our guests ranged from avid vegetarians to sophisticated beef eaters - and Thrive provided a wonderful array of food that meet everyone's needs. They also provided the correct quantities. We were both delighted with the catering.

Katherine at Thrive was very easy and pleasant to work with throughout the planning process for my daughter's wedding. The food was wonderful at the wedding! We went with heavy hors dourves and the presentation on the table was something that I was very concerned with and it turned out great! Very creative and fun and exactly what I had in mind. We were so happy that we picked Thrive for our wedding! Katherine was amazing to work with. She was quick to respond to our emails and very flexible when we made changes and additions to the menu. The food was delicious! We had the oven roasted chicken, pulled pork, green beans, mac and cheese, and herb roasted potatoes. Thrive Catering was everything we hoped for our wedding caterer and so so much more. With all the details it takes to plan a wedding, it is important to feel like your vendors not simply hear but truly understand your requests and then take your vision and perfect it. After all, they are the professionals. This is exactly what Thrive did. Katherine was our main contact and couldn't have been more helpful. She truly heard our wants and made them realities that were beyond our expectations. Every detail was considered and executed wonderfully. Wendy created a menu that was delicious, unique, beautifully presented and most importantly for us, made with locally sourced ingredients. The serving staff were delightful and always present but never obtrusive. We truly couldn't have been happier with Thrive and will be forever grateful for the amazing event they helped create. Thrive provided absolutely mouth-watering deliciousness that our friends and family are STILL talking about!!! We wanted fresh, locally sourced and creative food for our guests that was representative of the lowcountry because that is where we have made our home. Working with Katherine was so easy and so much fun! She worked with us to put together a menu that was even better than what we had hoped for. Most other caterers around would not deviate from their set list of "standard" wedding food but Thrive was open to all sorts of ideas, flavors, and the final result was deliciously wonderful! The set-up was beautiful and we did not have a single complaint--I would use them again and again for big events!

Thrive was amazing! We first tried Thrive Cafe back in Savannah a few years ago so when we got engaged and decided to do the wedding somewhere in the Savannah area we contacted Thrive right away. Katherine was so helpful and she actually helped me decide on the venue, Tybee Trees and Gardens. She gave great insight was very responsive even from the other side of the country ( I was planning from CA). We had a tasting a few months after booking and were just amazing and so excited. From the appetizers to the cake - sooo good! She also worked with us to add gluten free and paleo friendly options to the menu. The best part that evening was that they served the kids first (chicken tenders - fresh not from a box, and roasted potatoes) and so the kids were happy that they didn't have to wait which made for happy parents :) I asked a lot from all of them and they all did an excellent job!

Thrive catering literally is the reason our wedding went as smoothly as it did. Katherine and her team are attentive and wonderful to work with. We live in Augusta and when we had our tasting in savannah we went in at 11:30 with another tasting at a different catering place at 5:00pm. After meeting with Katherine and the chef, we called the other company informing them that we were no longer in need of their services. They were fantastic. They helped clean up champagne glasses that were brought from another rental company and my husband had asked them to help with setting up cupcakes if he wasn't there and when he came back they were set up perfectly. I would 100% recommend thrive, their food was fantastic and was only overshadowed by how wonderful the staff was.

Thrive was incredible! Great food was important to us at our wedding, and Thrive knocked it out of the park. After our planner, Andrea Gray Harper, recommended them, we looked around to do our due diligence, but quickly realized we had already found the best. I love their focus on local food and being green, so it was a delicious as well as an ethical decision to go with Thrive. The food was casual but exquisite, and impressed even the foodiest foodies at our wedding. Katherine was a great communicator all along, and she and her team were flawless at the event, with big genuine smiles on their faces. If memory serves me correctly, it was Sarah especially who took great care of me and my husband and made sure we had everything we could need or want at a moment's notice. And they really loaded up our bride & groom to go boxes, so we got to enjoy leftovers for days! Thrive really helped make our wedding everything we wanted it to be!

We are SO THANKFUL to have had Thrive Catering for our wedding reception in Savannah. After a very rocky start with our reception venue's onsite caterer, Thrive swooped in and saved us! Katherine - Thrive's catering manager - was incredible to work with. She's friendly, very responsive, and super helpful making lots of suggestions and recommendations to fit your needs/wants along the way.

The only tough thing about Thrive was choosing what we wanted to serve from all of the options! :) They can definitely cater to any tastes, traditions, dietary requirements, etc. etc. We chose a buffet and it was beyond amazing! We loved it, and so did our guests. I HIGHLY recommend - you won't go wrong with this choice!

Amazing Food and Service
Having a destination wedding in Hilton Head via GA is hard enough but Katherine of Thrive Catering made the food a breeze! From the start of our talks to the day of not once did I fell nervous. The food was amazing and the staff professional and efficient. Not one time during the day did they let anything go. All our guests loved all the food and be sure to order extra sliders and chicken satay as they went fast! I was so happy with the entire experience I just wished they were closer to us here in north ATL! I highly recommend them to anyone needing a top notch caterer in the Savannah or Hilton Head area! Katherine and team provided the food for a post wedding brunch the day after my daughter's wedding in Savannah. Everything is sourced from local farmers and organic. We served a frittata with spinach, tomato and mozzarella, pancakes with a mixed berry topping, hash browns, a fruit platter, yogurt, locally roasted coffees and juice. Everything was top notch and I didn't have to lift a finger! From the moment they arrived and set up, everything was taken care of.

Thrive was everything we were wanted for our wedding catering! They have passion for food and support local farms, have superb customer service, and are reasonable in price! We went with Thrive after looking into other options and we are SO Happy we did! They catered our wedding reception in April 2014 and we cannot thank them enough for the incredible job they did leading up to our day and day of!

Thrive was the perfect fit for us. We love entertaining (from setting the table to greeting guests). We also love big flavors and attention to plating! When it came to our wedding, I wanted something that matched our personalities. Katherine gave us great tips (for fun with plating, Lillian's China). At our tasting, Katherine and Chef Wendy really listened to our feedback and made sure the food was exactly what we were striving for (big flavors!).

The professional and friendly wait staff, fresh mint in water glasses, efficient dinner service, amazing food - Thrive blew us away! I couldn't stop thanking them. Hands down Katherine is a top catering manager in the business! She takes care of all the behind the scenes planning details with timelines, flexibility, professionalism and good humor. By having someone like Katherine, Chef Wendy and her culinary team are able to focus on what they do best!

We are excited about their future and know they will continue to grow in reputation!
Our menu had two options local blue crab cakes or braised short ribs. Both were served with mushroom faro risotto (with lemon), asparagus. We wanted something that would do well in a catering/big crowd environment and this menu really worked for us and our guests seems to love it! We skipped bread/butter and did cheese straw vases. We did mini cupcakes and a small wedding cake. Apps. included the pulled pork biscuit bar with a variety of toppings and a few other passed hor'derves!

Thrive Catering is an absolute MUST if you cater your wedding or event in Savannah, GA!!!! The food is amazing and great quality, Katherine makes sure you have everything you want and feel completely comfortable, and no one is lacking a full stomach by the end of the night. It was very important to us to have ORGANIC/non-GMO foods at our wedding and Thrive had all that and more - they helped us pick our menu, offered suggestions for foods that were in season, and really just let us have fun with the menu! Katherine was also incredibly responsive and personal, always responding within a few hours to an email, if not sooner. I had absolutely NO worries on the big day. We knew that Thrive would prepare, serve and organize food service for our guests at Bryson Hall and that I had no reason to think twice about forgetting something. It was such great luck that we found Thrive and I only have the best to say about their service and food - a BIG recommendation from me, my husband, and all our guests who kept raving afterwards that it was the best food they'd had at a wedding ever. We recently used Thrive Catering for our wedding reception and it was fantastic. Katherine was great and very responsive to all of my emails. Everyone loved the food and is still talking about it!

I can't imagine having anyone else better to host a wedding! Would highly recommend Thrive, particularly Kat, who went beyond our highest expectations!!!

Dealing with Thrive Catering was hands down the best part of my wedding planning experience. Katherine does an amazing job. She will go out of her way to make sure your menu is exactly what you want. Compared to other Savannah caterers, Thrive gives you more unique choices of appetizers, main dishes and sides. They will also work with you to create something that isn't on their menu as well. And, I found you get more bang for your buck with them. The food was amazing, just as good as the tasting. My guests are still raving about how tasty everything was. Many said it was the best wedding food they have ever had. Katherine will make sure everything flows flawlessly the day of too. She is wonderful!

Katherine from Thrive was my LIFELINE. This was a destination wedding for us, so we needed lots of advice and guidance for Savannah. We didn't go with everyone she suggested, but the fact she was so willing to help (with no personal benefit to her) was pretty awesome. She was almost my "secondary" planner. I cannot say thank you enough Katherine.
The big question: but what about the food? Well, my husband is German, so having authentic food was a big deal for us. We had schnitzel - and…it was Fabulous :) I remember and enjoyed every bite (in the blur of the big event). We were able to meet with her and do a tasting beforehand, we picked our cupcakes, our frosting, and the entire course, piece by piece.
Everything from start to finish was Excellent - whats even better? They pride themselves on doing things organic and using local farmers…how can you say no to that?
She was well worth it and is highly recommended!!

I am so happy that we chose Thrive as our wedding caterer. Katherine Hankey is super friendly and helpful, and she worked with our small budget to ensure that we were still able to serve a great meal to our guests. The service and staff are fantastic, and the food is SO good (the pulled pork is my favorite) I definitely recommend Thrive to any bride in the Savannah area.

Because of my interest in using local products, Thrive was at the top of my list for catering vendors. Katherine Hankey and her team exceeded my expectations on every level. From the point of my first correspondence with them, I was impressed. They were patient and professional and imaginative and helped me realize my dreams while staying inside my budget. A huge plus! We hosted a Thanksgiving style feast for my 100 person wedding party that was both flawless and delicious. They even created an alternative wedding "cheese" cake (made with wheels of local and artisanal cheeses and decorated with fruit and herbs) to accommodate the diabetics in my family. It was beautiful. It was elegant. I have never-ending warm fuzzy feelings for them for helping to usher me and my family through such a special day.
