Woodwinds catered my wedding offsite in October and we could not have had a better experience. From the very first conversation with Randy it was clear that they were professionals. The planning was seamless and communication was great, any questions were answered promptly and they had dates set to go over certain aspects of the wedding which helped me stay on top of things.
During the wedding everything on their end was incredibly smooth, we especially appreciated having someone bringing us food and drinks while we ran around taking photos and speaking to guests. Food was awesome and we got a lot of comments on the dishes especially the lamb. Was so happy with all the choices for the buffet and the appetizers.
I would 100% have Woodwinds cater another party for us in future and would recommend them highly for any occasion. They took a huge weight off our shoulders during the planning process.

The Most Perfect Day — Thanks to Woodwinds & Gastler Farm!
Our fall wedding at Woodwinds at Gastler Farm (September 2025) was nothing short of amazing. The food was out of this world — we heard over and over again how delicious everything was, especially the salmon, pastas, and appetizers. People actually told us it was the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding!
The Woodwinds at Gastler Farm staff went above and beyond to make the day perfect. Our wedding attendants — lovingly dubbed “the fairies” — were everywhere we needed them to be, often before we even realized we needed help. From fixing my train to making sure we always had a drink in hand, they thought of everything.
We felt completely taken care of, and it let us relax and truly enjoy every moment. Woodwinds at Gastler Farm delivered a perfect mix of professionalism, warmth, and magic. We can’t recommend them enough!

Best.Caterer.Ever
First of all- I looked at tons of caterers. What you get from The Woodwinds for your money is unmatched- and my guests kept talking about how good the food was. The bartenders were wonderful, I felt like they were old friends that were part of the party. Infact- every single staff member was personable and friendly and helpful. But what sets Woodwinds apart? How much more above and beyond they go. I was able to bring ALL my decorations to them and write a quick little note. They transformed my venue. My cousin showed up to see if anything needed setting up or help, and she said it was perfect when she got there. They took a few sentences of ideas and made it look beautiful. Prior to the event, and the day of the event, Randy was ALWAYS there. Every single question and email answered fast, and he stood there all day to make sure everything was perfect. Now as if this wasn't enough- lets talk about Cristina. Every bride in the world needs Cristina at their wedding. I joked all day that she was actually my MOH. From the second I walked into the venue (STRESSED) this angel human walked up to me and said "how can I help" and that was her motto the entire night. My drink was NEVER empty. She made sure my husband and I were fed. She followed me around and lifted my dress and fixed it for every picture, and she was the sweetest human being in the world the entire time. I am SO thankful I found this place and would suggest it wholeheartedly to anyone. 1000/10 experience.

Amazing venue!!!
The Wooodwinds was an absolutely perfect venue for our February 2025 wedding!!! The venue is absolutely beautiful and the staff that we worked with were fantastic throughout the entire process! Not to mention that the price compared to every other venue in Connecticut that we looked at was unbeatable! Even though the price was reasonable, that didn’t take away from the quality of the food, ballroom, and quality of service! The staff made all of our wedding dreams come true and we wouldn’t have changed a thing! They made us feel comfortable and supported throughout the entire planning process!!!!

Winter Wedding
We had a great experience having our wedding at the Woodwinds. The value for their winter wedding packages was unmatched by any other venue we considered. We would recommend it for anyone who is on a budget but prefers a more all-inclusive option. They made picking our menu and creating a day-of timeline very straightforward.
Every staff member that we interacted with was very courteous and professional. On the actual day of our wedding everyone was very attentive but not intrusive and our event went seamlessly. All our guests had high praise for the food and the venue itself.
While the inside does have a banquet-hall feel, there are unique features such as the fireplace and the large staircase that created good photo opportunities and made it feel more special. The outside of the venue boasts areas such as a footbridge, waterfall, and gazebo that are perfect for photos as well.

Best day of my life because of woodwinds
My wife and I got married earlier in the spring of this year and we both still recount our wedding day at the woodwinds as the best day of our lives! We had an absolutely amazing time having our wedding at The Woodwinds!! The staff was beyond professional, kind, and made our day a smooth and enjoyable experience!
We literally kept saying, “They have weddings and events down to a science!” — which they do!
The entire wedding planning experience to the actual day was incredibly organized and handled with the utmost care
I’m a project manager and details are my thing and it was such a Godsend to be able to relax and fully trust their team to see the details like we do!
Michael our event coordinator responded fast and intentionally to our questions and was so on top of it all. He made us feel relaxed in the wedding planning process and truly taken care of.
Emily my bridal attendant made my now husband and I feel like celebrities on our wedding day and was so incredibly kind and comforting throughout the entire day
Sergio is a master at presentation and was our tour guide throughout the day we got to enjoy our day and he handled every detail and kept watch on our timeline for us. That was such a gift to be able to be fully present on your wedding day and not have to think, “Oh the bouquet toss is coming up let me keep an eye on the clock”
The general manager during our rehearsal was so funny and had my entire wedding party laughing and at ease
If you are looking to be fully present on your wedding day and have your guests say, “You had a perfect wedding!” (Which I got multiple texts the next day saying so — the food, open bar, dj setup, everything was on point) then you want to go with The Woodwinds. I toured plenty of venues in Connecticut and it’s truly the best deal you’ll find in the entire state.

Couldn’t have choose a better wedding Venue! I knew this was going to be our pick as soon as I spoke with Vanessa. So happy to have found Woodwinds on this app. The staff has already went above and beyond to accommodate us, you can truly feel the difference from this family owned venue and other venues we’ve visited. My husband and I fell in love with Woodwinds at first glance. They were always there for us with any question we had (and I had alot). On our wedding day the help from Sergio was remarkable. He had everything under control and the day went smoothly. He was always one step ahead of everything and extremely helpful. Seriously Incredible!
Where do I even start with my review about WoodWinds? Well, they were the only venue we physically looked at, that’s how sold we were from the start. Seriously from the first visit until our wedding day, every single person we interacted with at WoodWinds was phenomenal. Vanessa, Ken, Michael, Sergio, truly everybody went above and beyond and it was clear how highly not only they value what they do, but how highly they value you having the day of your dreams. The food was incredible, communication was fantastic every step of the way, last minute changes were never an issue for the staff; they just know what they’re doing. Everyone I know says how stressful wedding planning is, and I honestly have to say mine wasn’t bad because of the wonderful team at WoodWinds. Thank you all so much!!

Absolutely Perfect!
We had our wedding at WoodWinds on 9/2/22 and I wish I could go back and do it all over again!! The food was absolutely AMAZING, everyone raved about the venetian table, I highly recommend it! Sergio was there for everything we could have needed and kept a watchful eye on us the whole night making sure we were taken care of and making sure everything ran smoothly! Even stepped in when we had some trouble with the bustle of my dress. My bridal attendant who I unfortunately can't recall her name was an absolute gem! Carrying my dress around the grounds as we took pictures, held my shoes when I couldn't bare them anymore and brought food to our table at dinner to make sure we ate, I think I told her at one point I was leaving my husband for her! The bartenders were fabulous, I rarely saw a line at the bar, and for the small moments there was one, if they saw me coming my drink was being made and ready for me by the time I got up there. I genuinely can't say enough good things about the entire staff at woodwinds, I wish I wasn't so in love with my husband so I could do it all over again!

Our wedding 10/14/21
Woodwinds was absolutely FANTASTIC and we are so thrilled we picked this venue to host such a special day for my husband and I. From arrival to departure everyone was so very attentive and made sure our entire time went smoothly. My husband and I both cannot think of a moment our drinks got empty or our food plates weren’t filled due to the staff being so on top of everything. From start to finish not a single thing went wrong and that was completely due to the staff being absolutely wonderful to us.
All our guests, almost a year later, continue to rave about the food and how great it all really was. The Woodwinds made our day so special and we cannot thank the staff enough the entire planning process all the way through the event! Hopefully soon we will be able to attend another event with there, but for now we will continue to spread the good word about The Woodwinds to all of our friends & family.

Amazing Wedding
After having to cancel and reschedule our wedding due to covid, we finally had our dream wedding at Woodwinds on 1/15/22 and it was everything we could have dreamed of. Woodwinds was extremely accommodating with our situation , as we live in Alabama and everything had to be done virtually.
Originally, our wedding was planned for 1/2/21, but with the way covid was panning out, we made the call in August ‘20 to move the wedding to 2022. Ken was extremely helpful through this whole process and they honored all of our original contract details and deposits with our wedding date move.
As we approached closer to the wedding, we worked with Randy who was also very helpful and responsive in our final months leading up to the big day. Our biggest concern was with the new covid variant and people deciding they no longer want to come/test positive for covid. Randy reassured us that we have up to 7 days before the wedding to finalize the guest list/number of guests attending. We ended up having about 25-30 guests back out in the last month, thus pushing our total guest count below the required minimum of 125 with the venue. Although we paid for 125 guests, Randy allowed us to use the extra money we paid to go toward add-ons with the venue, which we ended up with a late night Buffalo wing bar, pretzel bar, and chocolate liqueur cup station that were all such a big hit.
The wedding was perfect, absolutely no complaints. Our coordinator for the weekend was Sergio. He did an amazing job through the entire day to ensure everything went smoothly and flawlessly. He also made sure there was a drink in my hands at all times, and I appreciated that! They still had their beautiful holiday decor up which was the perfect touch for all of our photos. The bartenders were great and they made a phenomenal Espresso Martini that was wanted by all. The food was absolutely unreal. From the cocktail hour to the dinner, everyone raved about all the amazing appetizers and entrees. Chef Silvio’s Sunday Sauce is no joke!
Their Winter Wedding Package deal was awesome. It included everything with the venue, the DJs, the wedding cake and some of the basics from the florist. It was everything we could have dreamt of and still well within our budget. The team at Woodwinds takes pride in their work, and it definitely shows. Highly recommend for weddings. Especially in the uncertainty of the covid era, they will not leave you out to dry and will help you along the way.

Great place for a fundraiser!
I attended The Woodwinds on 11/4/21 and have nothing but wonderful things to say! The lights outside make the place shine magically before you even enter. The bartender remembered our drinks. The second time I went up I didn't even have to say what I wanted, he just recited the exact drinks I needed and said "I never forget a face." The food was great too. But the BEST part of the great service at the Woodwinds was that it was service with a SMILE, and yes you could actually see the staff's smiles because they were not wearing masks. :) A major plus for me!!!

From the moment we walked into this venue, no other venue compared. Perfect wedding day
Woodwinds is amazing. We toured other venues but we kept saying to ourselves that when we walked into woodwinds we got this different feeling. The staff was great to work with. Every step of the way they kept us on track with what we needed to do.
Our guests have been raving about the appetizers, meals and especially the Venetian table which was a great hit with our family and friends. Some friends even told us that they have never been to a wedding with the Venetian table. From the start of our ceremony to the end the staff was incredible. Randy paid great attention to detail. Sergio rearranged chairs for our ceremony and he ensured all decor was in place. Melinda our personal day of was phenomenal she ensured we had a drink and whatever we else we needed the entire day and night.
I cannot say enough good things about this venue. I hope someone else we know gets married here in the future so we can go back!

Our wedding was perfect. Not an understatement. Walking into the venue and seeing the garden room and the flower centerpieces. It was truly breathtaking. Literally we were in awe the whole night. You guys did that!

Woodwinds truly is THE BEST. My husband and I just got married on 10/3/20. We can’t say enough good things about woodwinds. Planning our wedding during the pandemic was made so much easier with Woodwinds as our venue. They thought out and planned everything before we wouldn’t even ask the questions. The tent was absolutely stunning, and our guests felt so safe and really enjoyed themselves. Our guests also can’t stop talking about how delicious the food was! They made the wedding planning process so lovely and did an incredible job. They are so easy to work with and really helped us make our wedding day a fairytale. I HIGHLY recommend Woodwinds!

The Most Blissful Experience
O. M. G. What a magical day. It was exactly what we envisioned and when I tell you that nothing went wrong. Nothing. Went. Wrong. I’m usually a very reactive person and freak over the littlest of things and I sincerely cannot think of one moment where I was like crap, day is ruined 😂 the entire team at Woodwinds is incredible. I feel like that’s not even the best word to use.
My mind was BLOWN after my husband and I had our first bite of cake and there was a damp napkin ready for our faces and a mirror so we could see if we had cake on them. (Randy, Neeka, you guys ROCK!) I mean are you KIDDING?????? That’s genius! It may seem small to others but I remember saying to Kevin right after how absolutely freaking wonderful everyone is. Neeka is the SH*T. That woman holds a smile and grace and a helping hand when you don’t even realize you need her. The entire night was so blissful I could go on and on and on about how absolutely perfect everything turned out.
The responsiveness from Ken and Randy and Vanessa were 12/10 and we literally could not have asked for better human beings to assist us. The venue is incredibly lucky to have these people working for them.
Oh, and the food???? TO DIE FOR. And yes, Neeka even made sure we ate. *mind blown*

The best venue
The Woodwinds made our reception a dream. The planning with Randy was so easy and painless. I left our detail meeting with complete confidence that my day would go exactly how I wanted it to. We dropped off our decorations etc on Monday before our Sunday wedding. They were set up perfectly at the wedding and back in boxes for us to pick up Monday morning. During the cocktail hour and reception, Neka met our every want and need before we could even ask. We felt like royalty. I didn't worry about anything. I ate delicious food, hung out with my guests, and danced the night away. I could not have picked a better venue or a better team to run my reception. Our guests had an incredible time and more than one person told us our wedding was the best they had ever been to.

We had a date conflict with our original venue which we had assumed would be a very cheap budget friendly option, so we decided to tour Woodwinds and we are nothing but happy with our experience. So affordable and you get so much for what you are paying. It even came out to be more affordable then our original venue option! So much is included, so it's a lot of stress off of the couple's shoulders. The staff is also wonderful. Vanessa is the absolute best! Booked our wedding the day we toured!

Beautiful and All-Inclusive!!
Woodwinds was PERFECT!! When we first toured the venue, we loved how classy the facility was and their beautiful outdoor grounds/ceremony locations. Vanessa was a lovely host and made us so excited about the venue! Woodwinds was the last venue that we toured because we were sold! This venue is timeless and the food is excellent! I had guests raving about the different appetizers and our Venetian table!!
I cannot imagine what other venues must be like since they don't have Randy or Ken in their office--both of these men went above and beyond for us! I think I sent Ken at least 40 emails leading up to our wedding date but he was always so pleasant, and answered every question quickly! He made every bit of the planning process SO much easier. Randy was an expert on our wedding day; he took care of everything and made sure that we hadn't a care in the world! I don't know how I could have pulled off a wedding ceremony and reception if I didn't have someone like Randy to organize everything. Randy makes sure that your wedding day is fun instead of stressful and he absolutely is responsible for our wedding going off without a hitch!
Despite all of the wonderful things I can say about Woodwinds, we are undoubtedly most grateful to Neka!! I am not kidding when I say she is a pro and a saint. When I arrived at the venue before our ceremony, I was rattled and stressed not knowing the status of everyone/everything. Neka entered the scene and I can honestly say that I IMMEDIATELY felt relieved. She updated me on where the cake was, where the groomsmen were, brought our flowers to us, pinned all of the boutonnieres, and made sure everyone was prepared and lined up for the ceremony. Neka adjusted my dress and train before my procession and at the altar so I looked flawless. She carried my dress around during photos, put drinks in our hands, and even bustled my dress so that my mother could enjoy cocktail hour! She took care of us throughout the reception and it was such a blessing having a bridal attendant that was looking out for us and making sure we were comfortable. She is seriously a fairy godmother!!
We booked Woodwinds because we loved the environment, but I would recommend Woodwinds because they are professionals who will do anything and everything for you. Our wedding was perfect thanks to everyone at Woodwinds!!

Awesome Venue
I attended a wedding and a bridal shower at Woodwinds and both events were just so amazing. The food is great, the outside patio and ceremony site are beautiful and the lighting is perfect. I had such a great time at both events and I highly recommend them to anyone who is having a wedding or larger event.

When comparing this venue to our other options, the Woodwinds definitely shined above the rest. We were able to get so much for our money, leaving us quite a bit of financial flexibility for the rest of our vendor choices. However, the thing that really won us over was not the money. It was the staff. Vanessa is such a delight and personable. Just remembering how comfortable we felt with her during our tour, really made the decision an easy one. I look forward to the exception of our big day!

Our magical winter wedding!
We got married at The Woodwinds on 12/22/18, and it couldn’t have been a more perfect day! First, they were so responsive to all of our phone calls and emails throughout the year and a half of our planning process. When I just couldn’t decide on centerpieces, I called the main office and Kristy put me in touch with their in-house florist, Joanna. I sent her a few photos of some ideas that I liked and she managed to incorporate everything that I wanted! Ken was also totally accommodating when we made several changes to our guest list and seating chart in the week leading up to our wedding due to last minute cancellations.
As for the day of the wedding, the entire staff was amazing! Randy and Neka were on top of everything. Neka even swapped out the pens for our guestbook to ones that would work better on canvas before we had a chance to ask, and she showed up at our table with cough drops for me because she noticed I was getting over a cold.
We’ve gotten so many compliments on how beautiful the wedding was, thanks in large part to the wonderful holiday decorations; how great the food was--from cocktail hour and dinner to our late-night donut bar; and how wonderful the wait staff and bartenders were. It all made for such a magical day.

My fiancé and I are in the process of getting married here this fall coming up & we knew from the very beginning that The Woodwinds would be the place where we would want to say I do before God! I was almost immediately in tears when I arrived. Upon leaving we received a complimentary bag with vendors, a specialty pasta sauce (that was super tasty) & they were very flexible with our payment options. Pictures truly do not do justice for the amazing grounds & the service we have received by Vanessa, ken and the rest of the team so far has been impecable! AMAZING! From start to finish, Woodwinds was perfect. From our first meeting with Vanessa to our wedding day last Sunday everything was smooth as silk. Ken made the planning process super easy and was always prompt with answers to any questions we might have had. They have the best staff of any venue we have ever been to, everyone was unbelievably helpful. Randy made our wedding day go exactly as planned. we honestly could not have asked for a more perfect day! Nika our bridal attendant was always there to take care of anything we could possibly think of, as well as spoiling our bridal party with drinks and appetizers during our pictures. We had our ceremony by the waterfall and it was perfect. the food was amazing, our guests had nothing but good things to say about the staff and food.

I only researched other vendors because I didn't want guests to think I was just recreating my sister's wedding for myself. But from the minute we left our tour visit with Vanessa we knew we'd get married at The Woodwinds just as my sister did 4 years ago. Everything was above and beyond from the beginning. They were the only vendor we would've felt horrible saying "we've decided to go with someone else" to, mostly because they were extremely helpful, genuinely caring, and very accommodating. It certainly helped that we had already experienced a great wedding as guests! Pricing was well worth what you get and they made payments easy. I thought I had odd requests during drop off but Randy didn't bat an eye, nothing affected him and he made me feel like I wasn't as crazy as I sounded to myself. I truly can't put into words how magical our wedding night was. It was over 90 degrees, and we got married by the waterfall and had our reception in the beautiful garden room. My bridal attendant, Kim, fanned me while wearing long sleeves and long pants under the hot sun! Staff was waiting for us after the ceremony with cold towels, water, and appetizers. Kim made sure I didn't want for anything all night. She took my husband's tux jacket to clean a stain he didn't even notice. If my bridesmaids tried to help, she sent them away to enjoy themselves only after making sure they were taken care of as well. My guests haven't stopped raving about the delicious food, the phenomenal service, and the gorgeous grounds. We were all made to feel like royalty by Woodwinds. This was a wedding that won't soon be forgotten and a venue that should be number 1 on everyone's list.

My experience with the Woodwinds was EVERYTHING!!!! I have never been to a venue more beautiful. From my initial visit with Vanessa, to us saying I do, it was superb!!!!! Everyone at the Woodwinds were very attentive, pricing was within our budget, the staff was so helpful, polite, even the chef was super nice! Randy was our coordinator the day of the Wedding, and the two young ladies who stood by me alllll day, were phenomenal. I LOVE this place. I would so do this again but only at the WOODWINDS!!!! Thank you so much! Nicole and I were impressed beyond measure with the staff for our wedding. They accommodated us when we accidentally showed up early, they even brought out food and drinks to the lawn for the bridal party taking photos. Inside, Scott did such an incredible job coordinating everything, and worked with Harry our DJ so seamlessly.
All of our guests continued to express their feelings about the beauty of the reception, the kindness of the staff, and the quality of the food. I was especially impressed at the immediate action of all staff members to make sure my friend Michael was looked after due to his severe peanut allergy.
At our sweetheart table, Scott’s wife went the extra mile at all times to make Nicole and I comfortable. She and I felt touched and at ease throughout the whole evening.

Oh My God. We just cant say enough good things about the Woodwinds. We looked at what seemed like 30 different venues for our wedding on March 2, 2018. Once we met with the Woodwinds, all searching stopped. Between the office professionalism and the gorgeous grounds, we knew that we had found the right place. We worked with Ken Broccoli for all of our meetings and final details, they were not only extremely flexible, as my now husband and I work crazy hours and shifts, but anytime we had a question, issue, or just wanted to touch base about small details, we got an immediate response. Once the wedding day arrived, Scott was probably the best thing that ever happened to us. He helped the night move as smoothly as possible and was always there to assist with anything I needed that night. The food was to die for, I still have guests commenting on how delicious the dinner and cake were. We were comfortably able to host all of our guests in the gardenside room, and although due to the nor'easter conditions outside, we weren't able to spend a lot of time outside, but the venue had plenty of indoor space for all. The bar and wait-staff were excellent, and I will never forget that Antonella helped bustle my wedding dress after seeing that all of us were struggling and literally always had a fresh beverage waiting for me when she saw I was getting a little low. Best night ever. If I could do it over and over again, my husband and I would choose the Woodwinds every.single.time.

Booking at Woodwinds was an absolute blessing! We had looked at nearly 20 venues and had it narrowed down to a few. Then we saw Woodwinds. The staff was beyond helpful and made us feel at home instantly. They were incredibly knowledgable and helpful throughout the entire process. Not to mention affordable! Ken responded to every email the same day and answered all our insane questions immediately. We never felt like a nuisance. Our wedding day was absolutely perfect! They made my wife feel like a princess the ENTIRE time. Especially her bridal attendant, Kim. She was running around nonstop and always doing so with a smile on her face. Me and my groomsmen were taken care of incredibly well and any time anyone needed anything they were there in a second. Randy, our coordinator, was fantastic. He made sure we were where we needed to be, had everything we could possibly want, and made us sit down and enjoy the entire process. The entire staff was truly a part of our special day. We can't thank them enough. If you're looking for a place to make your wedding special, memorable, and easy on you and your loved ones, The Woodwinds is a must!!

The team at the WoodWinds has been more than accommodating during our wedding planning process. We've reached back out to them several times since booking and have always received answers quickly. I'm having a large, multi-cultural wedding and they are not phased by it at all! We're working with them to do a slightly different menu than what is normally offered to include Indian cuisine and it has been a breeze to discuss these logistics. We looked at several other venues and none of them were as willing as the WoodWinds to work with us to get the food situation sorted out. Throughout the booking process, they answered multiple emails from me, my fiance, and my parents and made sure we all understood what was being discussed. I highly suggest visiting the WoodWinds!

My fiancé and I want a small intimate wedding, and finding a venue for a party of 100 or less limits options. Most venues require a high minimum count. Woodwinds however, can accommodate both the small and the large wedding. The mangers of the venue and owners have great attention to detail. You'll notice that the grounds are very well maintained, the interior and exterior of the building are in excellent condition, and paint and carpets are maintained. All things one would expect of every establishment, but something we didn't find after touring several. You'll also notice that the quality and attentiveness of employees and organizers is top notch. Most have been with Woodwinds for years; a very good sign. In addition to all this, the price was competitive. We also appreciated them quoting a single figure that included tax and gratuity so there were no hidden fees we didn’t expect. Booking Woodwinds was an easy decision for us and we couldn’t be happier!

Our experience has been nothing but a pleasure. We scheduled our tour and were satisfied with the level of professionalism exhibited by our guide Vanessa. She was a pleasure to speak with not in a rush, very detailed. The conversation was clear and concise with no pressure to book that day. I highly recommend the Woodwinds for your wedding venue. My fiancé and I are currently in the process of planning our wedding and the staff at the Woodwinds have made it that much more of a pleasurable experience. We had been to 4-5 venues before going to the Woodwinds, and just when I thought I lost hope, this venue was everything I could have imagined. My fiancé and I both had so much relief after we booked. Vanessa is awesome! We are currently working together with her to pull our Christmastime wedding off! Her flexibility in scheduling is great as well as her response time. So very helpful, making what a stressful time planning that much more exciting and a breeze! They are so easy to work with. Menu options are fantastic and so reasonable, good quality for a fair price. The venue is beautiful, especially for a winter theme in which I am having! So far our experience has been great. We absolutely have no doubts on having gone with different venue.

We chose this venue because as soon as we walked into the door we felt very welcomed and catered to. All the staff down right to the cleaning crew made us feel calm and at ease. We got there 1hr early due to me mixing up the schedule and the cleaning crew welcomed us, sat us down, served us coffee, and let us explore the venue. Even though they were super busy cleaning and getting ready for a wedding. I got to see the place beautifully decorated. When my consultant arrived she gave us the tour and was very attentive to our needs and wants. We fell in love with the place after looking high and low for venues. The process is easy, they are not pushy and they even do financing. They let us tweek the menu to fit our unique style too!! They even gave us a gift bag with suggestions from local vendors and complimentary signature spaghetti sauce. We were so impressed.

My fiance, parents, and I met with Vanessa to take a tour of the venue on 9/16/17 . The reception space is beautiful, with high ceilings, neutral colored walls, and a lot of space so it doesn't feel over-crowded which is exactly what I was looking for. Unfortunately it is hard to find what you are looking for when your'e planning a wedding on a budget, but luckily Vanessa was able to work with me and we ended up booking our wedding that same day! I can't wait for the big day!

We are so happy that we decided on The Woodwinds for our wedding venue. The ENTIRE team was absolutely amazing from start to finish. Everyone was friendly, professional, and accommodating. Scott met with us a week before the wedding and reassured us that we had nothing left to stress about and that they would take it from here. I can't tell you have true this statement was. They did a beautiful job setting up our centerpieces, favors, place cards, and our sweetheart table. Scott and his team made sure we were taken care of in every way possible. From lining us up for the beautiful ceremony in the garden, to setting up food and drinks for the wedding party during pictures and in our bridal suite to the cake cutting and providing a mirror for us to check our face. He made sure we sat down to eat the amazing dinner and always made sure we had a beverage. Just when we thought it couldn't get any better a huge Venetian table unexpectedly appeared with a large variety of amazing desserts!!! We were beyond happy with our experience and would recommend The Woodwinds to anyone looking for a great venue.

This place is amazing. The grounds are absolutely stunning and the staff is incredible. We got married in the Garden Room and our ceremony was in the back on the patio. The back was set up beautifully and the inside was set up just how I pictured it. The food was amazing and there was a nice big dance floor so all of our guests could get up and dance and weren't crowded.
But, I can't say enough about Scott! Scott made sure that everything went perfect from the final meeting, to the walk through and of course the day of. You could just tell he knew exactly what he was doing and truly cared about us. He even made sure that we sat down for a few minutes to have dinner.
Overall, we had a great experience from our first meeting with Carmine and from the moment we left our ceremony. I highly recommend them as a venue and if you're having a mid-large wedding, recommend the Garden room as well.

This place was a dream to work with! We toured the venue after seeing a few others and were sold. Booking it was easy. Negotiating the details of the package was a breeze. Their staff was super accommodating leading up to the wedding when I needed to stop by with my florist. The staff were also fantastic during the wedding day - everything went off without a hitch! They helped us (wedding party) stay organized and on time. The food was incredible and each course was served quickly and efficiently during the seated meal so our guests were happy and FULL! They coordinated with the other vendors to work seamlessly together. Overall, we cannot sing their praises enough!

My husband and I were married here on September 30, 2016. We absolutely loved it! Every staff member was amazing, especially Scott who makes sure everything runs perfectly. We started with the tour and booking with JoAnna. She was super helpful in the beginning with answering the millions of questions that we had. Once we booked we were getting regular updates and letters in the mail advising us when our next payment was due, and also a checklist to help plan the actual wedding. The folder they gave at the tour was my lifeline! Once we got closer we met with Scott a few times to discuss everything for the big day. He was awesome with giving us advice and he has so much experience that everything he said was 100% accurate. The day of was beyond amazing. Scott was guiding us through the entire event. He made sure that we went table to table to greet our guests. He then gave us time to sit and eat, and even had us go into the photo booth because we wouldn't have time later. Scott kept us on time for the ceremony, being introduced, the parent dances, and the cake cutting. And of course WoodWinds is known for the food! Scott gave us all left overs from dinner and dessert, which of course were eaten by all of our guests back at the hotel. Everyone raved about the food. WoodWinds was absolutely perfect and we were so happy we chose them to celebrate the best night of our lives.

I could write all day about how amazing this venue is. Their communication is instant. The grounds are gorgeous. Scott makes sure the bride and groom eat and also makes sure they are aware of everything going on. He is there all night, but you would never know he was around. He stays out of the way yet is still right there. The food is out of this world, and anything from the Venetian table that doesn't get eaten goes home with the bride and groom. I would recommend this venue to anyone without an ounce of hesitation

We had our wedding at Woodwinds on July 16, 2016 and it was perfect! The venue is absolutely beautiful and the staff was very attentive and professional. The wedding planning process was made so easy because their staff are super knowledgeable and you can tell they care! From the initial tour to the rehearsal to the wedding day everything was easy and smooth. We had our ceremony on the private patio off the garden room. It was an amazing setting with the waterfall in the background. Everything went off without a hitch. Scott and his team took care of everything. All we had to do was show up and have an amazing time! The food was so delicious and they even sent us home with left over entrees and desserts from the Venetian table! Scott's vintage Rolls Royce was an unexpected surprise! We have so many beautiful pictures with the car and so do our guests who loved posing with it! Scott even allowed our photographer to get on the roof for amazing pictures of our ceremony! Woodwinds was worth every penny we spent. You will not be disappointed if you book your wedding there!

We couldn't have asked for a better venue! We knew we had found the one as soon as we met Joanna. She made sure we would have the perfect wedding. Then when Scott took over, we knew we were still in good hands. Scott was able to set up a rehearsal, which was difficult because we couldn't coordinate everyone. And on wedding day, Scott and his wife Antonella were on top of everything. My dad uses a walker for long distances and was worried how he'd get around. Scott made sure he had my dad's walker available for after my dad walked some short distances (walking me down the aisle). My dad never had to worry. He also had my lipstick and a mirror available for touch ups so I'd still look good in pictures. The food was amazing! The appetizers at cocktail hour were a hit! The guests said they just kept coming, they were never without! And the buffet... People couldn't get enough! The sauce on the pasta was so delicious, and being half Italian, the sauce was important to me! The waitstaff (and those that helped with the ceremony) and bartenders were so nice and made sure everyone was happy all day. Couldn't have been a better wedding!! Thank you again!

We had a perfect wedding day. All the staff we worked with prior to and on the day of the wedding were friendly, helpful and accommodating. We had a brunch buffet and all the guests raved about the food. The grounds were beautiful and I was pleasantly surprised that the outside patio for the ceremony had some extra decorations I wasn't aware would be there.

Don't even bother looking elsewhere. You will find many venues to be beautiful and their staff very friendly. But the Woodwinds' cohesiveness of their staff, reliability, and attention to detail put them miles above others. If you go with the Woodwinds, you will not have to worry during your wedding day and will be able to actually enjoy the company of all of your cherished guests. Especially if you're doing an Indian wedding, they know what to do and how to run it!

I cannot imagine choosing another venue for our wedding. Woodwinds was by far the best option for food, cost, space and flexibility out of all of the venues we looked at in Connecticut. They have several locations for outdoor ceremonies and, when it rained the morning of the wedding, Scott and his team were able to immediately set up for the indoor ceremony in front of the fireplace of our reception room. In spite of the last minute change, everyone agreed it was beautiful (and far more suitable than a wet outdoor ceremony!).
Scott was incredible about making sure each part of the ceremony ran smoothly, and Antonella was always ready when I needed something: she was there to bring us our food, get a stain off of my dress, take my bouquet for the first dance, and basically handle any need that arose. Food was one of my biggest concerns for the wedding, but Woodwinds did not disappoint. We knew from our complimentary dinner at Cafe Allegre that we were in for a treat, which was proven true when we received rave reviews on the food from our guests. If you want one of the more affordable venues in the state without sacrificing quality, I highly recommend Woodwinds.

Our night was magical thanks to all the hard work the staff at The Woodwinds put into making our night perfect! The food was amazing and one of the main reasons we picked this venue. The grounds are also gorgeous and perfect for a backdrop for all our wedding photos. As a vendor (It's All About You DJ Services), we recently had two opportunities to do business with Woodwinds providing both DJ & Photo Booth services. As a business owner of our DJ business, we have the opportunity to work many different venues all over the State of CT and by far, hands down, this is the very best venue we have ever worked at. The venue is so beautiful!! The food is incredible!! Every single staff member that we have interaction with was so friendly and right on point with everything!!!! We truly had the wedding of our dreams thanks to the amazing staff at WoodWinds. Every single person with whom we interacted from our very first email contact to picking up our items the day after the wedding was professional, kind, and seriously on top of their game.
Throughout the entire planning process, the team was there for us to answer questions, offer advice, and help with coordinating with other vendors. We truly did not have to worry about a thing, which was such a relief over the year of planning. On the day of the wedding, we truly had a personalized experience that fit us and our families, went perfectly smoothly, and was so much fun for us and for our guests. Everywhere we turned, staff members were going above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect, special, and unique to us. As every review seems to mention, the food is spectacular and in abundance, and Scott and Antonella are there to guide you throughout the entire event and make sure you are having the time of your life. Scott even drove me up to the ceremony in his vintage Doval car to give me an entrance that our guests are still raving about.
We felt so taken care of and loved the day of our wedding – the WoodWinds team gave us the gift of being able to enjoy our day the whole way through, which we truly could not put a price on. (Although for all the venues we visited before signing our contract, WoodWinds really is where you get the most bang for your buck.) My fiance and I had our engagement party at Woodwinds this past July 2015! We could not have been happier with their service, friendliness, and professionalism from start to finish! We had 150 guests at our event and everyone had an amazing time and great things to say about the venue! Also, a very important factor to us was the food, and it all tasted AMAZING! We could not be happier with our choice of venue. All of our guests commented on how delicious the food was and how much they loved everything. Scott is AMAZING, I seriously can not say enough about him and his staff, if anything went wrong I certainly don't know about it. They are professional, courteous and so incredibly on top of their game.

The Woodwinds was a perfect venue - we had an outdoor ceremony under the beautiful willow tree, followed by the reception in the "Firelight" room. The food was awesome (our guests are still talking about how good it was!) and the staff was incredibly friendly and professional; they truly made our day flow perfectly without a hitch! Scott and his assistants were right there with us the entire night, always checking in to make sure we were okay or if we needed anything. Many of our guests have complimented on how beautiful of a venue it was and how smoothly the entire evening flowed.
I was a little worried about having another reception going on at the same time on the other side, but we never knew the difference! The venue is well divided and the staff was diligent about making sure no guests from other side made their way over to our reception.
Many wedding venues along the Connecticut shoreline were simply out of our budget; the Woodwinds was very reasonable yet we never felt like we had to compromise on anything. They truly exceeded our expectations and we would highly recommend them!

We came here on a whim after another venue stood us up for our appointment. It was late in the day, but they were so welcoming to have us come in. We worked with JoAnna and she was incredibly helpful and sweet. We loved the venue, and the offered so many services for such a great price. We booked our wedding 8 months in advance and they were very flexible on prices and dates. We worked with Scott for the rest of the wedding details, and he is ON TOP OF EVERYTHING. He makes it really easy for you. The day of the wedding went perfectly. There's always small errors, but the staff is so courteous and responsive that it eases your mind completely. Our guests loved the venue, especially the food. They have 2 separate rooms for events, and ours was in the Firelight room, with a beautiful fireplace (which is where we were married as well). They have awesome outdoor seating for the cocktail hour, and a beautiful waterfall area for your ceremony if the weather is good.

We could not have dreamed of a better wedding! If you are a bride/groom looking for a venue that has excellent food, terrific service, and a phenominal wedding coordinator team this is your venue. Scott and his team attending to every detail for our day and were always five steps ahead. Not once did we (bride/groom) have to think about anything.....he literally did all the thinking and organizing for us so we could take in and enjoy every moment of our wedding.

We can't say enough good things about our wedding. Everybody was just so easy to work with and caring. Scott & Antonella were just incredible and very very sincere and genuine.
They coordinated everything with all my vendors especially my photographer Ross "wedding elites" making sure I got every little thing and detail that I wanted...!

My wedding day was nothing short of magical! Scott and his team are fabulous. They were there whenever I needed them, treated me like Royalty and made sure the day went so smooth. The staff at the WoodWinds were great at helping with the planning and coordination of our wedding and reception. They are efficient and know how to make an event successful. The quality of food was excellent and our family and guests couldn't have been happier. Very highly recommended and great value for the price.
