  I absolutely love Westin La Paloma for having my venue and reception for my wedding! The service was beyond excellent and I would certainly recommend for future reference!

  Westin La Paloma has always been very helpful in all my events!
  They are the best to work with!
  I highly recommend them!
  The service is the best you can find in Tucson!
  I have done some events with them and they are very flexible!

  La Paloma did an amazing job for our wedding.They were on top of everything! The venue is absolutely gorgeous as well.Cherie, the wedding coordinator, is very talented, kind, and organized. Perfect choice for an elegant affair :)

  Beautiful Venue, our Wedding was handled by a wonderful first class operation crew. We began to plan our wedding eight months in advance, from our first consultation with Donal Drayne, Senior Catering Manager, we knew it was the perfect place to have our wedding. The years of experience, patience and good listener made our experience outstanding.
  
  I believe what sets this venue apart from others, besides the hotel just finished a complete beautiful renovation is the staff, from the Front Office, Bellmen, Office Assists., Catering Manager, Reservation Manager, Banquet Captain, Setup Supervisors, Waiters, Beverage Managers. We got to work with many staff members and they were always very knowledgeable, and eager to help us.
  
  We had over 200 guests that have continuously commented on how beautiful the reception was, excellent dinner and the great service they received. We occupied about 100 rooms and we had excellent feedback on their stay at Westin La Paloma & Spa.
  
  If I can give a word of advise to anyone planning a wedding or event it would be work with Great vendors and your special event will turn out beautiful. I highly recomment Westin La Paloma & Spa for any event.

  My wedding weekend (Oct. 2009) was the first time I had ever been to Tucson. I planned a destination wedding in Tucson (we live in SC) and we had our wedding at the Westin La Paloma Resort & Spa. I worked with Donal Drayne (Catering Manager) to plan the wedding details and I can?t stress enough how wonderful he was to work with!
  
  As I live on the east coast, we did a lot of our correspondence via email and phone. Donal was a pleasure to work with from the very first conversation that we had. He was very responsive to my emails and phone calls and certainly made it much easier on me since I was planning from such great distance.
  
  The resort was beautiful and has many wonderful areas for photos. We had our wedding at the Catalina Basin, which has the mountains as a backdrop. Our reception was in the Cottonwood room, which has an amazing terrace just outside that offers beautiful views of Tucson at night. Both the Catalina Basin and Cottonwood room were perfect for our special day. All of the resort employees were so helpful, kind, and accommodating to us and our guests.
  
  Our wedding went absolutely perfect; I couldn?t have asked for a more memorable day!

  Although there were a couple of other weddings going on at the same time as ours the staff made sure that we felt as if we were the only ones. Very nice venue to have both your ceremony and reception.

  I loved having my wedding at The Westin La Paloma. Donal Drayne was awesome to work with. It has beautiful views for the pictures. But the best part is the staff, they make you feel really special.

  amazing place to have your wedding, Cristina the wedding coordinator was nothing less than fabulous. So easy to work with and always responded quickly to emails/calls. It was the most beautiful wedding.

  The Best Venue & Staff

  The Westin La Paloma was absolutely perfect for our wedding! We got married in the beautiful fiesta basin and held our reception indoors at the golf clubhouse. Everything was absolutely stunning and delightful! Working with the venue coordinator Jennifer was the cherry on top - she was so kind, helpful, and responsive - she never got tired of answering our endless questions! Every step of the process from our tour, to the tasting, to the big day was absolutley perfect and they made us feel so special!

  We were recently married here and the service was amazing. They handled every detail and we couldn't have asked for anything more. The grass area at the front of the hotel has a wonderful view of the mountains and our reception area had a view of the city lights. We also did a cocktail hour at the lounge and rehearsal dinner at JBar, with great service at each. The only thing we didn't like was the 24% service charge that they added to our cocktail bill... Even with that, it was overall a good experience

  This was a great location (Catalina Basin) and everyone was wonderful to work with - from booking rooms to sending you weather information for the week of my wedding!

  The staff was very attentive and professional throughout the ceremony and reception. Our banquet coordinator even borrowed his friends nice car to drive us from the hotel to the Catalina Basin. However the hotel room had no amenities, it seemed as though no one in the hotel was responding to my requests as they should for a bride who is getting married at their hotel. I had asked specifically for spicy pasta at my reception and I was not offered a dinner tasting before the wedding, which I figured was normal for them. The "spicy" note was on my Banquet Event Order as well. However, the pasta was not spicy at all and I was definitely disappointed. I feel that the 75 dollars per person that I spent could have been better spent somewhere else, but I wanted the mountain views that this resort offered.

  Our ceremony and reception sites were fantastic. It's hard to top the beautiful views and location at the Westin La Paloma, and that's what I felt we paid for-- the lovely venue. However, the service left much to be desired, particularly with our wedding coordinator. Up until the two months prior to our wedding, our coordinator--Cherie--was entirely unresponsive. We had to email and call her numerous times to get a response. Nothing was proactive but reactive, and it never felt like she was on top of the game. She ran late on our wedding day--we kept having to call her to find out where she was and when she'd be arriving at various locations. Transportation for the wedding party was not coordinated ahead of time; if you are familiar with the resort, it is large, and our ceremony was at the Catalina Basin, which required shuttling to and from. Various details we had requested, such as our signature drink, were forgotten. The catering was very good. We had several foodies at our reception, and they raved about the canapés and dinner. We were glad to be able to give our compliments to the chef the next day.

  Well, I Tried...

  I was really excited to see La Paloma and possibly have my wedding here. I called and left my information with the venue and was told I'd get a call back from the wedding coordinator. Three days and four venue connections later, it's safe to say I won't be using La Paloma. Communication is key with wedding coordination and they just didn't have it for me.
