We had an absolutely wonderful experience with The Westin Governor Morris for our wedding room block and could not recommend it more highly.

The rooms were incredibly spacious and so accommodating for both us and our guests, especially with many people traveling in from out of state. From start to finish, the entire staff was beyond friendly, attentive, kind, and welcoming — everyone truly made our guests feel taken care of throughout the weekend.

A special thank you to Charday and Christina, who were absolutely amazing to work with. They were always quick to respond, consistently answered the phone, explained everything thoroughly, and went above and beyond to accommodate our wedding guest list and all the moving pieces that come with wedding planning. They made the entire process feel seamless and stress-free.

The shuttle service was also incredibly convenient and easy, which made transportation simple for all of our guests and helped everything run smoothly.

Our stay at the Westin hotel was nothing short of amazing. We had a great experience using The Westin Governor Morris for our hotel block for our wedding! The pricing was reasonable, the communication was great, and they were very helpful throughout the entire process. My guests said the rooms were clean and hotel staff were very nice as well! The shuttle driver even called me to make sure he was not leaving me behind because I had to stay back at the venue and have a family member bring me to the hotel later! Everything was truly great and we're happy we chose The Westin.

My husband and I just recently got married at Crystal Plaza in Livingston NJ. During the wedding planning process we wanted to make sure to find a hotel nearby that would be accommodating for all of our out of town guests. The Westin was recommended by our venue so we reached out and began communicating with Christina. After our initial tour of the hotel we decided this was the place to book. The cleanliness of the interior, new cozy feel of the rooms and professionalism from the staff was remarkable.

From the very start Christina was always available via email and phone call. She answered every single question I had and she was always quick with her responses. Christina made the entire process so simple and stress free and I am very thankful she was our point of contact throughout the planning stages.

When it came to our stay we were greeted by such a friendly staff at check in. Everyone was so kind and made the check in process seamless. The staff at the bar for our welcome drinks event were amazing! All of our guests had such nice things to say about the staff. We were also so happy with how our breakfast the morning after the wedding turned out. The room was spacious, food was delicious and the staff were fantastic!

Overall, I would highly recommend the Westin Governor Morris if you plan to book a hotel block for a wedding in the surrounding area!

I truly can not explain how incredible and simple it was to work with Christina and the entire staff at The Westin. From the first email & tour of the rooms to the very last check out and breakfast they went above and beyond to help me and my guests feel welcomed. The hotel was clean, organized and had incredibly spacious rooms for everyone! Also not sure if it was just the pure exhaustion from such a long wedding day but the beds and pillows in the hotel were probably some of the most comfortable I have ever experienced! LOL! Christina you truly made everything so easy and simple and I would recommend The Westin to every single person!

Our wedding at The Westin Governor Morris was absolutely perfect from start to finish! From the moment we toured the venue, we knew it was the one, so beautifully maintained, with an incredible staff that truly goes above and beyond.
The entire team made the planning process so smooth and stress-free. They were attentive, organized, and always available to answer every question (no matter how small!). On the day of our wedding, everything ran seamlessly — from the setup to the last dance — and we didn’t have to worry about a single thing.
The ballroom looked stunning and felt so romantic, with beautiful lighting and plenty of space for everyone to dance and celebrate.

They offered a great price for our guests, so much so that a few of our guests stayed at the hotel beyond our wedding weekend timeframe to explore the area and sightsee. They were communicative and helpful throughout the entire experience.

The brunch was also perfect and our guests thoroughly enjoyed the food and the private room. Truly, everything was perfection. Thank you also for the treats in our suite, free suite for our wedding night and for everything you did for us!

The process of booking my Sept 2025 wedding room block at the Westin was easy, affordable & incredibly professional. The room were large, clean and modern. They coordinated my guest's transportation from Hamilton Farm with zero issues & the bus was very clean and comfortable. Bonus - you and your friends can hang out in the lobby seating area late at night after the bar closes to keep the party going! Thanks Christina & team for the great service!

The Westin Governor Morris was a great hotel for our wedding block. As a recommended hotel at our venue we reached out at Cristina Rodriguez quickly got back to us with all the necessary information. The staff was extremely responsive with emails and calls about day of planning. The hotel supplied us with two shuttles at two different times for guest pick up and were right on time and did not leave a single guest behind. The Westin allowed us to drop off our hotel favor bags for our guests and handed them out to each of our guests upon arrival. We cannot thank them enough!

We worked with Christina to help set up a hotel for our guests to stay and from the moment we started talking to the hotel, Christina made sure we had everything we needed. All of the services were clearly lined out and each question we had was followed by a quick response. We highly recommend using this hotel if the opportunity arises.

We utilized the West Governor Morris for our hotel block for our wedding mass at St. Vincent Martyr in Madison, NJ and our reception at the Indian Trail Club in Franklin Lakes, NJ. The Westin was the perfect space to welcome our ~80 wedding guests to New Jersey! All of our guests were very impressed with the cleanliness and high caliber of the hotel. Additionally, it was incredibly convenient to be able to offer our guests transportation services (courteous of the hotel) for our wedding. We concluded our wedding welcome with a farewell brunch that far exceeded any expectations in terms of food as well as price. Could not have found a better place for our hotel block! Thank you, Christina, for all the assistance throughout it all!

We decided to work with Christina in regards to setting up a wedding block at this hotel for our wedding located in Bedminster. Christina was extremely helpful and arranging the shuttle times to and from the event for the entire day as well as helping with all of our guest needs. In addition, we ended up using the hotel for our morning after breakfast, and Christina was extremely attentive and helpful with all of the planning and help with our guest. All in all it was a great time.

My Wife and I used this hotel for our wedding block and it could not have gone better. Each member of the staff from the doormen to concierge were kind & attentive, and The Blue Morsel Restaurant on site was fantastic. Christina with the hospitality team could not have been more helpful if she tried, absolutely flawless experience which without her may not have gone as smooth as it did. I truly cannot recommended them enough.

We could not have asked for a better stay! My husband and I did our wedding room block at the Westin at the end of February. All of our family and friends enjoyed their stay as well! The staff was so accommodating and kind to us. Our room was even set up with a bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries to enjoy on our wedding night! We also did the farewell breakfast the next morning. It was so nice to be able to spend more time with our out of town family and friends while enjoying a delicious breakfast and coffee! We booked the room block and farewell brunch for our wedding weekend at the Westin Governor Morris hotel, and it was the perfect complement to our perfect weekend. All of our family and friends were super comfortable in the hotel, the staff was attentive, and a quick shoutout to Christina, Charday, and Mitchell who made us feel at home away from home! The venue is a beautiful and perfectly decorated for the holidays in December! Getting married at Crystal Plaza nearby, this was the perfect location for us and our wedding guests to stay. The transportation provided to and from the venue is convenient and the bar is a great location for welcome drinks!

We got Brooklake Country Club in Florham Park and used the Westin Governor Morris for our wedding hotel block and I am so happy we did!!! Christina was so wonderful to work with throughout our wedding planning process, she was always willing to meet with us in person, was always responsive through email/phone calls, and was so helpful with organizing our bridal suites/bridal party rooms near one another, sending us extra barstools/chairs while getting ready, transportation to and from the venue, and planning a beautiful set up for our college football themed farewell brunch! Thank you Westin for being one of the least stressful processes of wedding planning lol! Highly recommend using their services!!!

The Westin Governor Morris was absolutely an outstanding hotel for us and our out of town guests to stay for our daughter’s wedding weekend.
Even though our daughter was married in our hometown church in Bernardsville and had reception at the Mansion at Natirar, the majority of our guests staying at the hotel (131) traveled to New Jersey from all over New England, North Carolina, Illinois,Florida, California and even Norway. We knew having a great place for them all to stay was incredibly important and was one of the first things we booked when she got engaged. Our wedding planners, Peony Events, highly recommended the Westin Governor Morris and they were so right! Our meetings with Christina were so reassuring and we knew we were in good hands. We booked Welcome Drinks at the Blue Morel, planned a Farewell Breakfast, reserved the Presidential Suite and a large room block including several rooms for us. Christina kept us updated on reservations and helped us increase the block since so many guests were booking early. Christina also took care of reserving 3 motor coaches to take our hotel guests to and from the reception, which was included with the room block, such a wonderful perk of staying at the Westin.
Everything went fantastic the weekend of the wedding from the drop off of 80 Welcome Bags (thanks Narissa!), the Welcome Drinks for over 100 guests (thanks Kevin!), smooth transportation to and from reception (thanks A-1) and a fabulous breakfast on Sunday to end the weekend wedding celebration!

We used the Westin Governor Morris for our wedding room block this weekend and we were more than satisfied. We worked with Christina throughout the entire process and she was fantastic. She helped us through postponing our wedding and getting a couple of last minute guests their rooms. The hotel is gorgeous and extremely clean. The junior suite was spacious enough for seven bridesmaids and the moms to get ready, and it was conveniently located to our venue (Basking Ridge Country Club). We highly recommend this hotel!

Christina at the Westin Governor Morris deserves a shout-out for being so helpful through our long two year process. Christina was there for every question and concern. She was so helpful when we had to postpone our wedding from August 2020 to August 2021. She and Emile were wonderful when time was getting closer and my endless requests for the hotels that were booked seemed daily. Thank you for all of your help and support. Everything went wonderfully the whole weekend! From our hotel bags, to our stunning presidential suite and junior suite to the shuttle back and the breakfast the morning after. My new wife and I recently partnered with The Westin Governor Morris for our wedding block, and they were incredibly helpful + easy to work with. Christina and the full Westin team made our entire process as frictionless and positive as possible. Her team quickly accommodated last minute changes, and truly contributed to making our wedding the success that it was. The hotel is going above and beyond with safety protocols to ensure that all guests feel both welcome and protected. The rooms themselves are beautiful, clean, recently updated, and spacious (not to mention reasonably priced). All of our guests had a seamless experience with their stay, and commented on how friendly the full staff were.

The hotel itself has a beautiful lobby with a bar, and is also located in a convenient location, right next to major highways as well as close to activities in town. It boasts a large parking lot, and a classic structural design.

I used The Westin Governor Morris for my wedding hotel block for 3 nights and I couldn't have been happier. Kelly, the sales manager, is the best. She answered my endless questions very quickly and was extremely helpful in setting up the room block, and help arranging transportation for my wedding guests. The hotel was accommodating to any and all changes I made leading up to our weekend. The front desk staff is warm, welcoming, and there to help with all your needs!

The rooms are large and the beds are so comfortable. The hotel has been refurbished so the bathrooms are clean and new.

The front lobby was decorated beautifully for the holidays and our morning after breakfast was set up so well, it could have been a wedding! The food in the Blue Morel restaurant is delicious and the staff are extremely attentive.

I can't say enough GREAT things about this place, highly recommended.

We highly recommend the Westin. Kelly couldn’t have been more professional and helpful to every detail. She and her staff had every detail to perfection, from booking over 60 rooms, a rehearsal dinner and farewell breakfast. Also transportation for over 120 guests to our venue was flawless.

My Husband and I booked our room block with the Westin. The staff that we dealt with over there were all so helpful, professional, and kind. Kelly helped us out throughout our entire process, she was so helpful and replied quickly with any questions I had. Kelly helped us by recommending places for our rehearsal dinner, she helped book our farewell breakfast the morning after the wedding, and keeping our room block organized. I can't say enough good things about The Westin and their staff, 5 stars from us!

We used the Westin Governor Morris for our room block on labor day weekend. We worked with Kelly and she was wonderful from the first day when we took a tour of the hotel. She answered every email I had with reassurance. We worked with Emily for reservations and she made everything stress free. We held our wedding reception at the Westin. With nearly 75% of our guests coming in from out of town, holding the reception at a hotel made the most sense for us. We worked with Joyce from beginning to end. She was great and the whole process was painless! She worked with us on all of the details including food, table settings, timing, and any questions we came up with she answered. Any last minute changes she helped with and accommodated. We received SO many amazing comments from our guests. They loved the hotel, the food, and the wait staff and bartenders. Everything turned out beautifully! We owe that to Joyce, Pedro, and Julio for all of their hard work!

We held our room block at the Westin Governor Morris and were extremely happy with the service as well as the rooms. They were very easy to work with and the hotel itself is beautiful. My wife and I stayed in the suite given to us for reserving such a large block of rooms and it was absolutely fantastic. We hosted our entire wedding weekend at the Westin Governor Morris from June 8 - 10 and cannot say enough about the venue and the team. It was beyond incredible! We had a large guest list (approx 260) with many out of towners, and early on knew that we wanted to simplify logistics as much as possible. We were able to host a full weekend of events all on site at the Westin: the rehearsal dinner, a welcome reception, cocktail hour, dinner reception, after party, and welcome brunch. The hotel is quite large and really stunning, so we were able to host each event in a unique space with different menus, room layouts, decor and music. We also had our room block there, so our guests absolutely LOVED having so many events without having to travel anywhere. In addition, we had large suites for the bridesmaids and groomsmen to get ready on site. Julie, Jabari, Joyce and all of the others were worked with were a dream team, making all of these events and many, many details come together so seamlessly. They were so friendly and responsive, and had so many great ideas and suggestions that we were able to incorporate. And the food was incredible, we are still getting compliments about the amazing food choices that were available at pretty much every turn! Thank you for making our wedding weekend beyond all of our greatest expectations!

We worked with Kelly at the Westin Governor Morris to coordinate our room block for our wedding weekend. We chose the Westin for our room block because of the quality and the fact that they provided seamless shuttle service for guests to and from our wedding venue. Our wedding was during Labor Day Weekend so I was concerned that it would be difficult for guests to book rooms, but Kelly made the process extremely easy. She was always easy to reach and responded to all questions immediately. We even ended up hosting our farewell brunch at the hotel - the room was beautiful and the food was excellent. Every part of the process was seamless and the hotel provided top notch service from start to finish. I would highly recommend this hotel for a wedding room block and brunch!

Our wedding was a traditional Indian wedding with almost 400 people, so managing the event was not easy. Although the wedding was in Morristown, NJ, I lived in Northern Virginia so a lot of communication between the senior catering manager, Julie, and I was via email and phone. Nonetheless we were able to connect often to exchange all pertinent information. She never once said anything like "I'm not supposed to do that" or "Thats not my job." She double and triple checked every detail - it was clear that the hotel staff knew what they were doing. Kelly was very easy to work with when it came to hotel room booking. The hotel staff made sure we were fed :-) Overall, my family and I felt we were in very capable hands through the majority of this process. We're very thankful to making our day a wonderful time for everyone! My comments: 1) After the ceremony, there was no direction on where guests should proceed to for post ceremony snacks, so 350ish people were quite confused. I got flustered a bit seeing that and wondered why no one was there because we needed to stay in the ceremony hall for pictures with our families. By the time guests reached the post ceremony reception, food was already gone because earlier guests took many items, much more than they should have. I don't know whose fault this falls upon, but if someone else was there to direct people, it would've worked better. 2) Along the same lines for cocktail hour and dinner. People crowded to one side of the food area while the other side was completely open. People later saw there was another side and it did even out. 3) The Bride's family and groom's family rooms should have been on the second floor so the elevator piece is eliminated and easy access to each halls. 4) In the midst of everything we were re-told the hospitality room for the bridesmaids to make\change etc. We hardly addressed the detail but it could have been beneficial

My husband and I began our search in the North Jersey area since we had family traveling from New England. I decided to do a venue visit based off of other brides' reviews online, who raved about the Westin Governor Morris. The hotel property, ballroom, and the lobby were all beautiful!! I knew right away that this was the venue we would host our reception in. Our guests still to this day tell us how beautiful the reception was and how awesome the Westin was. Everything from the check in process, to the food /drinks at cocktail hour & dinner, the after party and the farewell breakfast were 'all perfect' in the words of our guests. We knew that booking the Westin was the best decision, as not only was the venue beautiful, but the convenience factor for our guests could not be topped. The room block, wedding reception, after-party, and farewell breakfast the following morning were all hosted under the same roof! I truly think that because of this, the energy of the party and of our guests never died down throughout the weekend. We have the Westin to thank for that !

Family & friends LOVED the two-tier ballroom in the Westin -- it added another space to mingle and socialize with other guests. The chandeliers were beautiful, and the ballroom itself was a neutral color, perfect for any bride who wants to use the color of her wish!

We were thrilled at the level of service we received throughout the entire process. Julie was a great face for the Westin - she is awesome to work with - in the wedding and hospitality industry there is a lot that goes on behind the scenes, and it requires a lot of teamwork in order for the wedding venue to execute. The Westin did not disappoint, and their team showed us that they were there to make your wedding a success!!! Pedro and Julio also made sure our reception, after party, and farewell breakfast went off w/o a hitch!! We used the Westin Governor Morris as the hotel for our guests for our wedding on July 28, 2017. It is such beautiful hotel with a gorgeous lobby and great rooms. I worked with Kelly the months in preparation for our wedding and she was extremely helpful throughout the entire experience. She was so accommodating and always available to answer any questions or concerns I may have had. The complimentary shuttle for our guests to the Park Savoy and back was so appreciated! I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone getting married in the area!

The Westin was home base for our son’s bar mitzvah. We booked a block of rooms for our guests, held the reception there, as well as a welcome dinner on Friday night and farewell breakfast Sunday morning.

All weekend, operations were seamless. The staff was professional and friendly. The food high quality, beautifully presented, and delicious.

Our guests were delighted with the abundance and variety of food during cocktail hour. Even before going into the ballroom, there was a sense of fun and excitement. We knew from the tasting that the adult dinner was going to be excellent. I heard that the kids' buffet was great and the dessert buffet legendary ! The coffee and cordials bar, the doughnut factory and the candy buffet all helped to cushion the blow of the party ending.

It was a distinct pleasure to work with Joyce. She is a consummate professional who radiates warmth and kindness. Her experience, effectiveness, responsiveness, and calm were so appreciated by this first-time Mitzvah mom. I would definitely choose the Westin again !

Kelly was awesome at the Westin in planning my room block for my daughters wedding which consisted of 100 rooms and breakfast the next day for our guests. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Joyce and team were incredibly helpful and made the day an amazing success. Great facilities and perfect choice particularly given our many out of town guests who were able to stay at the hotel and our need to have a kosher menu.

The Westin Governor Morris in Morristown, NJ was the perfect venue for my daughter’s wedding. The wedding took place the Sunday night of Memorial Day Weekend, 2017. We couldn’t be more pleased with the entire wedding! We had many, many out-of-town guests, and the hotel accommodated them all – we ended up with 75 rooms booked! We worked with Kelly Bartolome regarding the room block, starting one year prior. She held the “bridal nook” for the wedding party – which was the perfect location for our after party. It consisted of the very large hospitality suite connected to a junior suite (2 room suite) on each side. We had access to the hospitality suite the night before the wedding, and all day on the day of the wedding, for hair and makeup, and for the after party. The service at the Westin was outstanding in every way. Julie Olsen, our catering manager, was great to work with. She was extremely responsive, and helpful. Great attention to detail – I didn’t even need a party planner. The hotel is beautiful – it’s historic, but has been restored so everything is top notch. The front lobby, the ballroom, the chandeliers – all gorgeous! All our guest commented on how they loved the hotel. Morristown itself is a great area. Since it was a 3 day weekend, many of our guests enjoyed going into town, or to the Morristown Museum, or to the nearby Arboretum. Of course, many just wanted to relax at the Westin’s large outdoor pool.Overall, I’d highly recommend this venue. It’s perfect if you have people flying into Newark airport – less than a half hour by Uber or cab.Great location for NJ, great customer service, and, I almost forgot, phenomenal food! From the filet mignon to the mushroom risotto, to the fresh sushi at the cocktail party, everything was fantastic! Really good quality. And priced very reasonably! Literally no complaints about this venue. It was a great wedding. My guests were telling me it was the best wedding they’ve every been to!

We used the Westin for our hotel block and post wedding brunch! Kelly was great to work with - very responsive and flexible as we tried to keep adjusting our hotel room block. Everyone also loved the brunch there and it was very convenient for our venue. I would highly recommend!

We used the Westin Governor Morris for our room blocks for our wedding at Crystal Plaza. We worked directly with Christina who was very helpful and professional throughout the entire process. The hotel was absolutely gorgeous and our wedding guests who took advantage of the accommodations were raving over this hotel. On top of that, we did add a farewell breakfast in our package for the next morning. They had set us up in a beautiful room with a REAL breakfast. We had an excellent assortment of hot and cold breakfast foods as well as a variety of drinks including a Westin plus Starbucks coffee. I even had a surprise secretly set up to have a birthday cake brought out for my husband since it was his birthday and even that was just wonderful. Thank you to the staff at the Westin Governor Morris for truly showing us and our guests a luxurious overnight experience for our wedding!

We used the Westin Governer Morris hotel to house our guests for our wedding in March 2016. From the very beginning working with Kelly was extremely easy and she did everything she could to make us comfortable and prepared for our wedding day. In the end everything (the rooms, the hotel staff, the breakfast, the transportation service to our venue) turned out perfect as she promised. I would definitely recommend this hotel for any wedding or event in the area.

We chose The Westin Governor Morris for our wedding room block and private farewell buffet breakfast. Our wedding reception was approximately ten minutes away at The Park Savoy. Our contact at The Westin was Kelly and she was fantastic. From our initial meeting through the day of the wedding, Kelly was very attentive and responsive. She regularly checked in to ensure that everything was correct and up to date throughout the process. Due to the number of rooms that we booked, The Westin provided complimentary shuttle service to and from The Park Savoy. The guest rooms were in excellent condition and very spacious. Due to the number of guests in our block (~100), our farewell buffet breakfast was in a private room. The food was delicious and the staff was extremely attentive. We would highly recommend The Westin Governor Morris for your wedding room block if you are getting married in the Morristown area.

The Westin Governor Morris was a DREAM of a wedding venue. Not only is it beautiful and warm, but the staff is incredible. I do not have a bad thing to say about anyone. We worked with Joyce Beighley as our Sales Manager, and she could not have been more accommodating, knowledgable, and easy to work with. She was always available, always had an answer to our questions, and made our whole wedding weekend run so smoothly. Christina Rodriguez did our room block, and she was outstanding. We never ran into any issues with rooms, and she was so on top of our block through the whole process. The whole staff at the hotel was absolutely amazing and made our families feel like royalty. It was perfect!

The Westin Governor Morris was the very first venue that we visited during a very long day of location scouting, and it clearly set the bar too high for the other places to match!

We selected the Westin for our October wedding in 2015 and it was one of the only places that could accommodate our ‘all inclusive’ vision including an on-site ceremony, reception, after-hours gathering place (an in-house wine bar) and a send-off breakfast the following morning. The Governor’s Ballroom has a very large dance floor and a unique two-tiered layout with extra seating space, which we loved. Just make sure that you need all of the space, as there was a minimum spending clause in the contract which was not an issue for us given the number of guests that we invited, but certainly could be for a smaller group with more modest needs.

Our wedding coordinator Julie was very responsive to all of our many inquiries and had a lot of helpful suggestions for setup and style arrangements that could work well for us. I was really impressed by the quality of the catering options, and Julie was very flexible on letting us slightly rearrange the menu to include our favorite beer for our guests, and she only worried a little bit when we mentioned the idea of ‘confetti cannons’. Although we were the only wedding on the premises that day, there were 3 other wedding groups staying at the hotel taking shuttles to other venues in the area, so be sure to ask about that if having your run of the place is important to you. Regardless, we were still able to get more than 100 rooms at the hotel. Thanks as well to our booking manager Kelly, as she managed to squeeze a few extra rooms into our wedding block at the last minute (to accommodate all of the guests that somehow forget that we were having a wedding that day).
Overall, we were extremely pleased with the Westin. It’s a beautiful venue with an experienced staff, and if we could do it all over again, we would gladly use the Westin again.

The Westin is not only a beautiful hotel but a great wedding venue. The food, décor, ambience and quality is amazing. All the staff, especially Julie, was absolutely wonderful to work with. I can not say enough good things about working with Julie. She really went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for our wedding. The Westin gets 10 gold stars from us!!

We used the Westin for our wedding at the Park Savoy and it did not disappoint. Kelly was my primary point of contact and she was wonderful. She was super responsive throughout the entire process and answered any question I had. We had about 40 rooms of out of town guests and everyone had great things to say about the hotel and the Blue Morel restaurant. Our shuttle service for our guests went off without a hitch, and the rooms at the hotel were great. I had a very positive experience dealing with the Westin and Kelly in particular and would definitely recommend them.

We chose the Westin to book our wedding block after they were highly recommended by our venue, The Park Savoy! The customer service far exceeded my expectations! Kelly Bartolome was amazing to work with!!!! She was very on top of everything and always answered my millions of emails! Having over 120 guests staying at the hotel it was not easy to accommodate everyone's needs, but Kelly went out of her way to make everything smooth for me and I can't thank her enough for that! The hotel is beautiful and all of our guests were very happy with their stay there. Thr welcome bags were given out without any issues, the breakfast was great, everything was perfect! The buses picked up and dropped off our guests in time, and even accommodated our groomsmen earlier in the day. Kelly also let us use a hotel shuttle to bring the bridesmaids to the Park savoy the morning of the wedding! I have been to many weddings where there were transportation issues but this was not the case for ours! Thank you Kelly for your patience and everything you did to make everything go so smoothly! I highly recommend the Westin for any wedding needs, they were fantastic!

I used the Westin governor for hotel accommodations for my guests that were coming from New york. Christina Rodriguez the sales manager coordinated everything easily and gave us a beautiful complementary room for us.

I specifically came on this site to shout out Kelly Bartolome, who is the sales manager at the Westin Governor in Morristown. Our wedding was November 22nd of last year (Yes I know this review is late) and Kelly worked with us to secure rooms for our hotel blocks. I will like to say that dealing with family members in the midst of planning a wedding can be a bit messy, and we called Kelly numerous times with changes to our hotel room block. Kelly was always patient with us, and always professional. We can't say enough about her service. Thanks Kelly and Westin Governor for the great service and a great wedding night experience.

This past September, we booked our wedding block at The Westin Governor Morris, and we're so glad we did! Highly, highly recommend for other Jersey couples. Here are a few reasons why:

- The rooms were clean, comfortable, and VERY reasonably priced - definitely something of huge importance as we wanted to take our wedding guests' budgets into consideration
- The Presidential Suite where we stayed on our wedding night is BEYOND gorgeous and so spacious - the perfect place for me to get ready with my bridal party!
- Beautiful hotel lobby, which made for a great backdrop for some pre-wedding photos
- A completely professional, attentive, and helpful staff; we worked with Kelly, who was always more than helpful and quick to respond to our emails

And if these reasons aren't appealing enough, transportation for hotel guests to and from the venue was complimentary - a perk I didn't find at any other hotels when doing my research.

Bottom line: if you're looking to book a wedding block for a North Jersey wedding, the Westin Governor Morris is the place to do it!

Our family really appreciates all of the hard work and preparation that went into our daughter's wedding by the crew at the Governor Morris. Julie Olsen, the coordinator, took all of the guess work and frustration over for us and gave us a perfect day! Now, two years later, we have heard from so many of our guests that attended that the wedding was the best and most beautiful they had ever been to. My husband and I were able to sit back and let other's do the work, so that we could really appreciate our daughter's big day. We have been back to the Westin quite a few time since then just for dinner, and are planning on having future celebrations there as well.

The Westin Governor Morris was an amazing venue for my wedding. Julie Olsen, in charge of catering, was with us every step of the way. She was always available to answer questions and make sure that everything was absolutely perfect. Our ceremony was held outside next door at Acorn Hall, which was just a beautiful location. I loved that there was a contingency plan of having the ceremony in a small ballroom if the weather wasn't perfect. All of my other vendors had no problems working with the Westin - all deliveries were coordinated without me having to act as a middleman.

Kelly Bartolome worked with our room block. We had a lot of rooms due to many out of town guests, and everything was great. They set aside rooms on the second floor for us because we had families with small children that wanted to be near the reception site - this was no problem for the Westin.

During the reception, our maître d was Pedro. He anticipated what my husband and I needed and was always making sure we had something to eat or drink. During our Viennese hour, he and another waitress brought a sample of all the pastries to our table for us! The food was delicious, and all the decor was elegant. Honestly, we had no concerns or problems with the Westin during our planning and the wedding itself. Everything was amazing, and I will continue to recommend it to others!

Just recently got married at the Westin Governor and it was simply amazing. The venue is gorgeous ... We had both the ceremony and reception there and it all went so smoothly and exactly as planned. Julie Olsen was so wonderful to work with and made our day so special. I will miss working with her! I would highly recommend this venue especially if you are looking for a place to host the ceremony as well. Many hotel venues have a conference room feel and this hotel does not at all. They only host one wedding at a time as well. All of our guests keep telling us how beautiful this venue was. We couldn't be happier. Thank you again Julie!

The Westin Governor Morris is an absolutely outstanding and hotel. We stayed there for a week in August for our son’s wedding (held at a nearby venue) and arranged the block of rooms for our wedding guests at the hotel. The rooms and lobby are all very modern and beautifully done. I can’t praise highly enough the incredible service we received while organising the wedding block from Christina and the Westin Staff. It was always a pleasure to work with Christina and she made arranging everything completely stress-free – she is very detailed orientated and was on top of everything and very quick to respond to any query. We had about 30 rooms in our block and organized a pre-wedding lunch at the hotel. Our guests loved the hotel and its warm and friendly service and the lunch in their State Ballroom, organized by Tina, was amazing. We booked our event shuttles through the hotel and the service was flawless. Every request however small or big was dealt with a smile and the staff went out of their way to accommodate us. I would not hesitate in recommending this hotel to anyone whether for a stay or a wedding.

Julie and Pedro were incredible and this is not to say that the others involved at the Westin (whose names I can't remember!) didn't contribute to making this the best day of my life. Having Julie there for us (even through her pregnancy) made us feel like we were taken care of from the first moment we met with her. This was important to us as it is not just the actual day that we want perfect but all the careful planning leading up to it. She had such a calm and centered demeanor that really put myself and my family at ease. Pedro, the maitre'd, was as attentive as they come on the day of. He had drinks at the ready and plates of food set up at our tables (we opted for a buffet) that went uneaten as we were having such a good time! Since everything ran so smoothly, we were able to focus on our guests and all the fun we were meant to have. We felt as though we were the only couple scheduled for an event at the Westin this year- it felt that special. Highly recommend this vendor!

My husband and I had our wedding reception at the Westin Governor Morris last month, and cannot say enough good things. We worked with Carrie Sinnott, who was absolutely wonderful. She was knowledgeable, professional, warm, and was very quick to respond to my many emails and phone calls throughout the entire planning process.
Our family and friends are still raving about how good (and abundant) the food was, and many of them have told us that it was one of the best weddings they've ever attended.
We also held the after party at the Blue Morel which is located in the Westin. With plenty of space and a gorgeous atmosphere, it made for a wonderful and convenient after party.

Our wedding reception was held at the Westin Governor Morris on May 18th and they did a fantastic job! The food was plentiful and really terrific, all of our guests were very pleased with the cocktail hour food selections as well at the dinner! The hardest part was selecting the menu during the tasting because everything we tasted was really great! Julie did an amazing job with the planning of the event, she really helped out with making decisions easy as she had a lot of spot-on recommendations. The night of the wedding Pedro and the entire staff did a tremendous job ensuring everything went smoothly and exceeded our expectations. I would highly recommend having a wedding reception here as the venue is very classic and elegant, the food is amazing, the ballroom is very large but not overwhelming, the lighting is great and the in-house lighting folks did a great job (and the cost for that was reasonable), the hotel rooms are very clean and having a wedding in a hotel is convenient for guests. I was planning on taking wedding photos outside next door to the Westin at beautiful Acorn Hall, but due to weather, we had to take pictures indoors, however the hotel lobby is very pretty and since it has beautiful natural lighting, the pictures came out great! There is also a wine room which also looks great in pictures! Also, the Westin offers Starwood Rewards points for every dollar spent at their hotels, by having the wedding there, we were able to earn enough points for a free honeymoon in the Virgin Islands! If I had to do the wedding all over again, I would still have it at the Westin Governor Morris - it was that good!

We used this hotel for our family and friends after our wedding at the Crystal Plaza on 3/1/13 and they were AMAZING! Christina Rodriquez was a DREAM to work with. She was very professional and accomodating to not only myself and my husband, but to all of our friends and family members. She responds promptly to your emails/phone calls and goes ABOVE AND BEYOND to satisfy her clients. The hotel provided a shuttle bus to all our guests that were staying at the Westin of Governor Morris to and from the Crystal Plaza and this service was outstanding! The shuttle buses were clean and efficient and they made sure to have enough buses for all of our guests to be transported comfortably from the hotel to the Crystal Plaza and back to the hotel at the end of the night. Safe transportation for our family and friends after our Irish Wedding was a huge concern of mine and the Westin of Governor Morrs exceeded my expectations with their attention to detail.
Our guests are still raving about the service they received (the staff is very friendly and goes out of their way to make your stay enjoyable) and all have commented that it was the best hotel they have ever stayed at for a wedding! In fact, some are even considering purchasing the heavenly bed after sleeping so peacefully the night of our wedding and all of our guests thoroughly enjoyed the double shower heads installed in each room. I would highly recommend this hotel to any bride/groom that is looking for a fabulous hotel for their guests to stay at. my wedding was nothing short of amazing at the westin! from the staff helping with preparations they were all so helpful. The food(biggest part of a wedding) was beyond delicious! The ballroom is gorgeous and the suite that they give you to get ready in is huge!!! after the wedding the party did not stop we all enjoyed ourselves at the blue moral. i could not of picked a better place to have the most amazing day of my life:) family & friends are still raving about it. Carrie Sinott was my wedding coordinator and really was a pleasure to work with from beginning to end. always answered any questions i had promptly and made my fairy tale vision come to life. I recently had our wedding reception at the Westin Governor Morris Hotel in Morristown, NJ. The reception was held on July 27, 2012. Though we didn't have our ceremony at the Westin our reception (we had it at a local church), the reception that the Westin planned was incredible! Everyone we worked with was so professional and they truly went out of their way to make our day special. I specifically worked with Carrie throughout the planning process and I cannot rave enough about her. When I contacted her in October she made me feel comfortable right away. I knew I was in good hands. She was so patient and always responded to my questions with care. She was so easy to get along with. She takes pride in what she does. The food was amazing! The attention to detail regarding the decor was unreal. Everything was beautiful. Our Maitre d', Pedro couldn not have been more wonderful. He was son considerate and made sure everything ran smoothly, which it did. I highly recommend checking out the Westin Governor Morris if you are planning a wedding! Can't thank the staff enough!

The Westin Governor Morris was the perfect venue site for our wedding. we loved the modern decor of the hotel. We had both the ceremony and reception in the Governor's Ballroom. The Westin was WONDERFUL to work with. We used them for guest accommodations after our reception nearby. The rooms were lovely and the hotel was easy to find. They were great in distributing gifts to our guests that we dropped off the week before the wedding. The special events staff always quickly responded to any attempts we made to ask questions (and it was very helpful that the staff we dealt with was usually there later at night and on weekends). They arranged one shuttle large enough for all our guests who stayed with them from our reception venue - and it was so nice that we took it afterwards! We also hosted a brunch there the day after the wedding. The food selection was decent and the space was good for our group of 50. Rooms are slightly above average but very nice. We truly got the royal treatment on our wedding night in our complimentary suite with some special surprises! It was a great touch.

My husband and I booked our wedding block and farewell brunch with the Westin Governor Morris in Morristown, NJ for our Memorial Day Weekend wedding. We worked with Kelly in the sales department there to setup the block and brunch. She was extremely helpful and accessible as various needs and questions came up as we approached the wedding. One great perk of booking with the Westin G.M. was the roundtrip transportation that they provided to the reception at the Stone House at Stirling Ridge. Kelly coordinated transportation for guests who booked rooms on the day of the wedding through a local limousine company. All of our guests were safely returned to the hotel at the end of the night, which was a concern of ours that we didn’t have to directly plan. The farewell brunch was excellent. Both a hot buffet and continental options were served. The rooms and quality of service were very impressive and we would recommend the hotel for a one night stay or for booking an event.

The event was perfect. Everything was delivered as promised. Christina is such a pleasure to work with. Very cooperative, responsive and always camee up with ideas to make the event special. We blocked rooms at the Westin Governor Morris for our wedding weekend and couldn't be happier! Christina Rodriguez was an absolute delight to work with from start to finish. The hotel is stunning (rooms are slightly dated but still lovely), and they handled multiple weddings that weekend seamlessly.
Highlights: Christina went above and beyond with breakfast setup coordination, even managing details while she was out of office. They were incredibly flexible with food storage from our venue after our wedding. We negotiated complimentary suite upgrades for us and both sets of parents. They included shuttle service to/from the venue and that was a huge plus. Great location near downtown Morristown, and our out of town guests loved the area.
Monthly then weekly booking updates kept us informed, which was crucial with 85% of out-of-state guests. When we had last-minute breakfast changes (family issues, not their fault), they were insanely helpful and accommodating. The bellhops were phenomenal! Remembered our names and wouldn't let us carry a thing all weekend.
Note: No free breakfast included, so budget for their restaurant or private buffet if you want a morning-after event. Highly recommend negotiating for upgrades because they can be very generous!

We had our Indian wedding on 10.12.2019 at the Westin and it was wonderful. The location and building is absolutely stunning. Working with Julie throughout the year was a pleasure. Julie is super organized and helpful, and made the wedding week so smooth for us! She knew the vendors we selected well and had a great relationship with them all. She paid extra attention to our needs and always responded quickly to our questions. The Westin team was super professional and they made sure we got to taste our amazing wedding food! Having the full day of events at the Westin made things so easy.

This was a beautiful hotel, and they gave us a wonderful deal on our room block. I used Wedding Wire's hotel blocks tool to ask for bids for our small wedding. Kelly, the sales manager, was very responsive to questions or concerns, and they were helpful to any of our guests that had troubles booking or had special requests. The staff at the hotel were friendly, capable, and never made our small wedding (we only had 11 rooms booked at time when the hotel was completed full hosting guests for 4 other weddings and a bar mitzvah) feel any less special or important. Free wifi in the rooms would've been nice (gotta stay connected) but honestly it was really nice. Instead of an upgrade to a suite for us for the wedding night (which they give the couple if a certain number of rooms are booked) we got an upgrade to a deluxe king for the whole stay, which was so much better than trying to change rooms as our photographer was scheduled to arrive. Fair warning, their elevators are slow. They made our small wedding feel special, and my guests were happy with their rooms. What more could you ask for?

The elegant Westin Governor Morris is the perfect venue for anyone who wants quality and convenience for their guests! It is close to the train line for our guests traveling from NYC. Choosing a hotel venue instead of an off site one kept transportation costs down and made it very convenient for out of town guests. The personal service we received was fantastic!! If dancing is important to you than this is the place for you with the largest dance floor in NJ!! We had a 12 piece band and the entire wedding party of almost 200 were up dancing the night away and there was plenty of room for everyone!
The dinner was exceptional, all our guests raved about the delicious filet mignon!!

We had a phenomenal experience at Westin Governor Morris for our wedding in May 2025. Our guests had a room block there and we hosted our welcome wedding event (Sangeet) in the Grand Ballroom. Christina made it exceptional — she worked with us to make it seamless and smooth. Come here to see a 10/10 experience.

The Westin Morristown did a great job with helping us block rooms and give our guests the best possible service during their stay. They were very responsive to emails and also very flexible on changes in numbers for our post-wedding brunch. Everything was super seamless and they're team did a great job with wedding welcome boxes and handling the post-wedding brunch setup! We would highly recommend this location for wedding room blocks!!

The Governor Morris was great! They met all of our requirements and more. We worked with Christina Rodriguez in Sales, and she was always so accommodating. Everyone in our party enjoyed the stay there including the rooms, meals, and overall hospitality. We had both family and friends stay there.

They completely coordinated all of our transportation to and from the wedding, and it went off without a hitch. We then had our after-party there on Sunday evening, at the bar area. There was ample room for our guests and we were fortunate enough to pretty much have the whole bar to ourselves. Drinks were good and everyone had fun.

We ended the weekend with a farewell brunch Monday morning. There were no surprises and the food was good. We had the room for 2 hours.

Overall, we had a very positive experience with both Christina and the Westin and would absolutely stay at another in the future as well as recommend it.

The Westin Governor Morris was our hotel of choice for our guests the night of our wedding at The Park Savoy. We worked with Kelly and she was absolutely amazing! I was very concerned about the complimentary shuttle service to and from the hotel and reception (typically a nightmare) and she assured us that everything would go smoothly, and it did! The rooms were comfortable and the hotel bar was the perfect spot for an after party! The next morning my in-laws hosted a farewell brunch which was exactly what we were looking for as well - simple and comforting! No fee for the guest bag distribution and very easy to work with!

Our wedding day was perfect, in large part due to the staff and attention we received at the Westin. The whole staff treated us like royalty and made us truly feel special on our special day. The food was delicious and everything was well organized. During the planning leading up to our wedding all questions or requests we had were answered immediately and our wedding coordinator Carrie was the best!! Would recommend the Westin Governor Morris to anyone:)

The staff at the Westin Governor Morris were very good and accommodating to their clients. I had no complaints about their services on the day of the wedding and they made sure that everything ran smoothly that day. They are a little bit on the pricey side and all of the services that you are going to get from them will definitely be 4x the price from other places however, their service is very good and I guess you really pay for good service and customer service. If you want to feel good and deal with pleasant people without worrying about the cost...then this is the place for you. You will not go wrong with their food either. Our guests said that our weddingover all was meticously done and that it was very classy but at the same time comfortable. Of course, my wedding planner played a big part as well.

On the dwonside, I have heard though from my wedding planner that my other vendors including her were not treated well.

The Westin Governor Morris is an outstanding hotel. The rooms are so comfortable that it's tough to check out. They also helped to provide us with a 60 passenger bus to take us back and forth to the reception. That is so convenient for guests so they don't have to wait forever for a little shuttle bus to take back 10 people at a time.

Our original contact (Archieline Arzadon) had left 6 months prior to the wedding. Our new contact (Elizabeth Stacey) was still learning the ropes when she became assigned to our contract. She wasn't always very responsive but we made the best of it. The quality of the hotel made up for what she lacked.

The Governor Morris Westin has incredibly responsive, hospitable, and attentive staff. They create a tremendously welcoming environment and excel at appeasing their guests. I was happy with the staff in how they created an excellent vibe for my entire wedding weekend. Dennis and Christina were great partners in planning the weekend. As a unionized hotel, pricing is challenging; however, the staff works with you to build up the value of the spend. Overall, I felt the hotel and its staff labored to deliver an excellent experience. We chose Westin Governor Morris for our hotel block and to host some events over the wedding weekend. Christina was our contact for the rooms and she was amazing. Responsive and so helpful, she made sure all of our guests were comfortable with VIP treatment for our families and helping with accessibility needs. 10/10 would work with her again in a heartbeat. Rooms were comfortable and clean and the lobby was beautiful. Working with the catering department was a bit trickier as they are a union property and had additional (expensive) hoops. However they worked to accommodate us which was much appreciated and the rooms we used were hosting events were spacious and nice.

Service was excellent. A bit expensive, but totally worth it!

We had our Sangeet, Baraat, ceremony, and lunch at the Westin, along with a room block for our guests. For the most part, everything was excellent and what we had planned. Working with Christina and David was a very good experience - Christina in particular was very responsive and tried to make things as seamless as possible for us. As with most hotels though, there was very little flexibility from what they offer, and some basic things were very expensive. The lobby and event spaces are very nice, but the rooms are not the most modern, Wi-Fi isn't free unless you sign up for Marriott rewards, and the lighting in the rooms are pretty poor which is a minus for wedding getting-ready. For the room block, having the shuttle included was so helpful and ran quite seamlessly. Unfortunately this means the rooms are not actually cheaper for guests, but with the shuttle included, it was still a good deal. Overall, we are still quite happy with the hotel, and would recommend it.

The Westin is what we used for our hotel for our wedding. They were easy to work with when we set up our wedding date to book hotel rooms and shuttle services. They even handed out our hotel goodie bags as guests checked in. I was upset when the time of the shuttle service to take guests back from the venue changed after the time was confirmed, so guests either left the wedding early or had to call to get back, including myself. Other than that, my guests stated that they enjoyed their stay.

We had our room blocks, after party, and farewell brunch at the Westin Governor. Julie Olsen and Kelly Bartolome were fantastic. They were extremely responsive and helpful. Kelly helped us with our room block. I had the presidential suite for my bridal party and it was PERFECT for getting ready the morning of! It was big enough to hold all 8 bridesmaids and the 6 hair/make-up artists. We also had breakfast and champagne served to the room for everyone to enjoy. One thing I absolutely loved about the suite was it had a large hook high up in the closet for that is meant for your wedding dress. I was coming from NYC and my dress wrinkled on the commute. It was great being able to hang it and let it straighten out. I do have to say, I had the dress steamed at the hotel (they use an outside service) and it didn’t really help, so I recommend bringing your own steamer.
We had a day wedding so the after party was a big deal. We decided to have it at the State Ballroom in the hotel and it was a blast! Julie helped us pick the food options/amount and she did not disappoint. We had a great selection of food that lasted for all of our guests. She also helped us set up music and games, which everyone enjoyed. The brunch the next day was perfect. We had our own room so we were able to say goodbye to our entire group.
Another selling point for us was that they provided transportation to and from the Park Savoy. It put our mind at ease knowing that they have worked with this limo company before and they were reliable. We worked with Jennifer Holbert and she made sure we had buses for our bridal party and our entire group. It was a very easy to coordinate with her. We are very thankful for everyone who helped us at the Westin Governor and highly recommend using them for your hotel block.

Incredible food. Nice Hotel. Several staff members on hand on the day of the wedding.

My husband and I really like W Hotels, but they're very expensive for events, and their event spaces can be a little bland and business-like..... we imagined spending even more money trying to dress the spaces up for a wedding. So we expanded our search to all Starwood brand hotels and we really liked the WGM! It's charming and unique, not gaudy and over-decorated like so many other venues in NY and NJ, and it has amazing food! Plus, for having the wedding there we were awarded bonus Starwood points which we used for our honeymoon....we stayed at 5 star hotels in Rome & Florence Italy with points! How many venues give you THAT?

Our contact left the hotel about 6 months before our wedding....we were disappointed since we liked her and she was clearly experienced (with weddings and with the WGM in particular)....but that can easily happen to you anywhere, turn over is high in hotels and event venues. We wound up being sold on a ceremony set up by our first contact/sales rep, but were then told 2 months before our wedding that it "wouldn't work".....didn't love rethinking it that late in the game, but with continued tweaking it worked out just fine in the end. We opted to use the ballroom w/ the airwalls pulled out for our ceremony and it worked great. Our new contact was a little green (Carrie) but she was an absolute pleasure to work with! She gave it her all leading up to and the day of the wedding! Their operations person (Susan) isn't the type to think out of the box, and she's the one that nixed our ceremony set up....otherwise, Susan really knows her stuff and we felt like we were in very good hands that day and it all ran pretty smoothly. Feeling like we didn't have to pay attention to small details, or really any for that matter, the day of the wedding was wonderful! I also loved not having to print menus, the ones the hotel offers just happened to go well with our invitations.....what a time and money saver!

We received rave reviews from our guests on the cocktail hour and reception food.....the volume of which was amazing, and the quality was unreal! The slider bar was a big hit. For dinner we had a 4 course meal: choice of 3 entrees, plus a cold (salad) course and warm course (risotto) and a plated dessert, plus wedding cake! I was so pleased to have the cake included in our package (highest level pkg available at the time), figured it was one less thing to bid out, travel to places for a tasting, and then order.....and then we were really happy to find out it came from an award winning bakery! It was beautiful and delicious! I really didn't give the cake a 2nd thought since another plated dessert was included....how often have you had lame wedding cake?....not this, it was from Gourmet Touch in Liberty Corner, wow! They have what seems like hundreds of cakes to see online, and they're pretty flexible.

The hospitality (bridal) suite they provided was VERY useful, even more so than I thought it would be. It was a great home base for vendors, our wedding party and my family.....no one had to call us to find us, they just went there. My bridal party and I had our hair done there, and we had the entire wedding party and family meet us there before the ceremony.....it was also a place to chill for a few minutes after the ceremony was over and we were just overcome w/ emotion, and I was able to get my dress bustled there vs. in the ladies' room. Not that the general restrooms aren't nice....they are, I've been to venues where they're really small (2 stalls w/ 100+ people doesn't work) or they're cramped and uncomfortable which is horrible when your guests are dressed up.

Unfortunately, once our event coordinator/sales rep left for the night, the service went down hill. It was open bar, but it's embarrising to hear that full (new) drinks that our guests got from the bar were removed from their tables immediately, right from under their noses. Guess the kitchen was having a party. We also heard that a table or two never got wedding cake.....thank goodness they all got the awesome chocolate mousse dome dessert....but not serving guests our wedding cake is well, inexcuseable.

We found the front desk/registration staff to be pretty helpful to us and our guests. We also had an online room reservation link to post to our website. Our contact for the guest room block wasn't all that helpful, but she's a small part of the process. And, we had a few odd issues w/ our Presidential suite......one of the TVs wasn't hooked up, there's no full length mirror (even the Jr suites have one, how are you supposed to get dressed the day of your wedding w/out one?), and one of the two sinks backed up a bit....but otherwise it was huge, comfortable room, with a dining table, amazing shower and comfortable bed, two closets and a high hook for my wedding dress......we just didn't even have time to get those other issues addressed, and we were walking around on cloud 9!

The Copeland.....while having the restaurant there allowed us to get a sneak peak at the food (same kitchen is used for catering) before booking w/ the WGM, the service there seems to get worse and it's pretty pricey. We found the manager to be less than gracious. While they told us the capacity for the private wine room was 18, we were very cramped at the table despite some of our 18 being children. We were disappointed when the steak on the contract we signed and on the menu that night made no mention of a spicy sauce, yet there was one. Every other entree was listed in detail correctly on the contract and menu (again, the menus were printed for me!). It was really disappointing, we had been so careful to take our guests' preferences and needs (vegetarian, peanut allergy, and 4 ppl that dislike or can't eat spicy food, etc.) into consideration....and then no one enjoyed the steak. What was worse, the manager's reaction when we brought it to his attention....he got defensive and had to be asked to address it with our guests. Not the attitude you expect to come across when you're spending about $2k on dinner that night alone. But then again, his rehearsal dinner menu suggestions started at price points that nearly rivaled the per person price for the wedding which included 5 hours of open bar! At breakfast the staff can barely be bothered to wait on you, we ate there for the convenience factor only.....and in fact, we used the Copeland restaurant for the rehearsal dinner for the convenience factor too. Some of our wedding party was traveling from 2 to up to 4+ hours away. This hotel isn't in the downtown area so you can't walk to anything, despite the service issues the food is usually amazing, and except for the steak that night it was.

Overall we were very pleased with the WGM!

Although this review is full of pros and cons, we wouldn't have had our wedding anywhere else even if we did it all over again. We got an attractive venue (wow, the lobby photographs well, the images online don't do it justice!), amazing food, and tons of food at cocktail hour, and a delicous and beautiful cake, and the wonderful convenience of the hospitality suite and being in a hotel. If Carrie is still there you'll have a very nice and responsive event coordinator. Any other venue we were even silghtly interested in wasn't a hotel, we really loved that convenience factor for us, our wedding party, and our guests......and this is the least expensive room rate I've ever seen for a wedding and the rooms are very nice. The value for the price overall was very good. My rating is influenced by our experience w/ the Copeland for our rehearsal dinner, that's the one thing I'd do differently.

We used the Westin ballroom and booked a large block of rooms for our wedding in June. Julie and the catering staff were wonderful to work with- very responsive and willing to work with our budget and needs. However, we really struggled with the staff managing the room block- it was a popular weekend and they were hosting 5 other weddings at the hotel. Despite us actually having the venue booked as well, some of our guests were told at check in that the hotel was full even though they had pre booked within the ball. They clearly oversold and didn’t apologize or even let us know until we heard from our own guests after the fact. Additionally, they charged my in laws for the free parents suite and didn’t tell us- we realized the mistake ourselves months later. Really disappointed with the room block experience but loved the venue.

I liked the westin. It was the venue for my reception. The staff was courteous. Overall, good experience.
