I had the best experience at the Westin Annapolis thanks to the incredibly dedicated William Grace! His knowledge, dedication, taste, and execution are truly remarkable. He was responsive to me with any questions or comments I had, no matter how big or small. Working with him made you feel like the only bride in the world!! My Christmas themed wedding was truly the best day of my life and the Westin Annapolis will always be so special to me.

Our wedding was originally planned for April 2020, but we ended up having to reschedule twice due to COVID. William Grace at The Westin Annapolis was always so responsive and so professional, and he helped make everything happen. We had both our ceremony and reception in the Capitol Ballroom (had about 150 guests day of, original wedding planned for 250). It was set up so nicely and the room flip during cocktail hour was seamless. William and the incredible reception staff made sure everything flowed so well, and the food was really delicious. There was also another wedding happening in their other ballroom, but we wouldn't have had any idea if we didn't see the other couple leaving for their ceremony at one point! William is so good at his job and really makes you feel like you're the only couple he's working with. We were really happy with our wedding at The Westin Annapolis and would recommend it to anyone looking for a great downtown Annapolis wedding celebration.

The Westin Annapolis was the PERFECT venue for my dream wedding on Friday, August 20, 2021. The accommodations from the food, ballroom space, to the guest rooms to the valet were PHENOMENAL. I had both my ceremony and reception in the Capitol ballroom and the space was perfect for my 150 guests to enjoy and be safely distanced. The staff was very friendly, responsive, and treated my guest and I like royalty.
I had the honor and privilege of working with William Grace from my initial contact with the Westin all the way through until my wedding day. Over the entire 11 months of planning my wedding, William was amazing to work with. He was super responsive to emails, answered all my questions and truly made me feel as if I was the only bride he was working with at the time. With all the 2020 wedding cancellations due to COVID-19, I know that was far from the truth. William was thorough, organized, and very knowledgeable on the entire process. Being a first time bride planning a wedding in a pandemic, this put a lot of my anxiety at ease. I would recommend this venue and William directly 1000x over if I could. They are truly amazing!

I only rated high for visibility. I would NOT recommend this place!!!!!!!!!!!

I was so excited to get married here after working with Lindsey who was amazing! However, when the pandemic hit, she unfortunately was no longer my point of contact and everything went absolutely downhill.


I ended up working with William Grace who is NOT FRIENDLY at all. He was very responsive to messages when he wanted to be, but he selectively didn’t respond to certain questions. For example, whenever I asked a Covid related question, he would just ignore that portion of my email. As a Medical Student, it was really important to me to make sure that we were safe and our guests would be as safe as possible. I ended up having to call him to get these questions answered because he would never fully respond in email!!!!! It was ridiculous. He specifically never wanted to fully answer questions about cancellations or rescheduling weddings during the pandemic. He would always say to me “check back 4-5 weeks before and we can discuss at that time”... mind you.... The contract specifically states that if you wait until 4 to 5 weeks before you will not receive any money back for cancellations. So essentially, he was always trying to defer to get me to wait until the point when I could not receive any money back for canceling!


He was also horrible to deal with for scheduling. With less than 3 months before the wedding, he knew we were on a time crunch to meet with all of our vendors and do walk-throughs. I reached out to him to schedule these things as well as our tasting, and it was always so difficult to schedule! When I finally got the opportunity to schedule a perfect date for myself and my florist, he told me less than a week before that I would not be able to come.

HERE’S THE KICKER: He only told me because I had to call him after he wasn’t responding to a question asked repeatedly my email! Otherwise, he made no effort to inform me that he booked a whole event on the day and time of my walk-through. I am from out of state and would have come all the way up there to meet my florist only to be told that we couldn’t even do it that day. How unprofessional is that?

IT GETS WORSE!!
When I was on the phone with him, the way that he informed me was as follows...


“By the way you won’t be able to do your walk through.”


Me- “wait, why? And why wasn’t I informed before now?”


Him- “we booked another event at that time so you’ll need to reschedule”


Me-“ given the fact that I am out of town, it is not easy for me to reschedule. Why would you book an event knowing that I had this date and time for a walk-through, especially given how difficult it’s been to even schedule it?“


No lie.. he then says to me these EXACT WORDS.


“Um. REVENUE.”

WOW!!! You do not say that to somebody who’s paying you the astronomical prices you are charging for a wedding and reception!! Am I not also providing revenue??? My husband and I stared at each other in disbelief.

From there, I spoke with a lawyer and was advised to keep everything in written format. Whenever we did end up having a conversation verbally or in person, I always took their own notes and sent a meeting summary. After this, and asking to speak with his supervisor about options, he seemed to be much more careful about his words and was a lot more willing to work with us.

On the day of, he was not friendly at all to my wedding party or my guests. We had not fully disclosed to everyone how we were treated by the venue, and even without letting them know, several people made comments about how rude the staff was. Several members of my bridal party and wedding guest list were told that they could not get drinks from the bar. Specifically, one of my bridesmaids was asked to go to her hotel room to get her ID, despite the fact that ***no one else was asked for ID***. Although irritated, she went to get her ID and returned to the bar area. At that point she was still refused a drink!!!!!

While my groom and his groomsmen were getting ready, they were listening to music in the provided space while our photographer was taking candid photos of them singing. They were told by hotel staff that William thought the music was too loud. What?? Come on now. We had booked the large ballroom on the first floor and we’re about to have an entire reception with the DJ and sound system. How was the music too loud from a personal speaker???

On top of that, one of the groomsmen brought champagne and drinks to the room that the guys were getting ready in. As you can imagine, during a wedding sometimes people like to have a drink to celebrate. WILLIAM GRACE however threw a fit, saying that NO ALCOHOL was allowed??? WHAT!?

How does that make sense, when three hours from now we will all be having alcohol provided by the bar that is already paid for? And, we are in a hotel! Since when were people not allowed to bring their own alcohol to the hotel at which they are staying?!? What kind of sense does that make? Myself and my bridesmaids had champagne as well and we were not told anything like this. We even asked for champagne glasses and they were provided by the hotel!!!!!!

Lastly, after the wedding several of our guests complained that their food was cold and we even had some guests complain that their CHICKEN was NOT COOKED all the way through. For $100 a plate, you would think they could at least cook chicken to a safe temperature.

There is so much more, but hopefully you get the point! Not sure whether William treats everyone like this or if he’s not fond of black people.... no clue. But I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND this venue to anyone for any event.

We are getting married at the Westin Annapolis in October. Lindsey has been truly amazing to work with. We do not live in the area, but it feels like she is right down the street! She is incredibly responsive to (my one million) emails, she is thorough in her details, etc. I am super excited about all of our planning and what I imagine is going to be an amazing wedding!

William Grace at the Westin Annapolis Hotel is the best! He had so many great ideas and advice for my daughter's wedding! He was always available when I had questions about the food, bar, decor, table settings, transportation from the USNA chapel, hotel rooms, etc. I can't say enough good things about William. Also, the Westin Hotel Annapolis has a great location in downtown Annapolis and has so much parking available (which is a big plus in Annapolis). I would DEFINITELY RECOMMEND him and the Westin Hotel Annapolis. They were more than accommodating with the planning and implementation of my daughter's Christmas wedding reception. The food was phenomenal, the service was perfect and the timing of all the events was on time with no issues. William had so many unique ideas that I didn't even think of and helped me every step of the way. William always seemed to know exactly what to do and say when I had a question or problem. He is a miracle worker!!! Thank you William for making Christina and Andy's wedding magical!

We had a wonderfully magical wedding. All the details of the decor, table settings, lighting, serving staff and assistants were executed to perfection.

Lindsey and her team are a dream to work with. My husband and I had to plan our wedding from the West Coast and by ourselves. Lindsey was so kind, helpful and communicative that it was an absolute pleasure. We could only fly in a few days before and had planned to have minimal decorations because of the distance. She and her team were so thoughtful, they tastefully decorated the family tables without us having to ask- just being thoughtful! It was a great reception - we didn’t have to worry about a thing. Food was superb, service was flawless and we were able to enjoy our first hours as man and wife because of Lindsey and the Westin team. Thank you so much!

The Westin Annapolis was the perfect venue. It is absolutely beautiful. The food was delicious and there was a huge menu to choose from. I have to say, the sea bass was the absolute best I have ever had!
We had the pleasure of working with William (the director of catering) in planning our wedding there. From start to finish, William helped with everything. He honestly went so far above and beyond for us. Any question was answered almost immediately and he strived to make my dream wedding a reality. Thanks to William and The Westin, I got my perfect fairy tale wedding.

We have booked the Westin for our upcoming July wedding and are super excited. Lindsey has been a dream to work with so far, and she is incredibly efficient and knowledgeable when it comes to ever detail and question I’ve had in the planning process. We can’t wait for the wedding!

The entire Westin team was truly amazing! William Grace assisted us with locking in our contract, confirming our set-up table decor etc. He was there every step of the way, from the tasting to the day of set-up. The bar and wait staff made sure my husband and I actually ATE! Ahh amazing. And the ballroom was just perfect. When I walked into the ceremony and reception, I barely even recognized the room.

We recently had our wedding at the Westin Hotel in Annapolis. Fantastic experience. William Grace from the hotel was very responsive, helpful, and on top of everything. The day of the wedding was seamless. The guests loved the food, the decor, and of course, the drinks. The DJ was great. He was a referral from William. Also, the majority of our guests stayed at the hotel. I would definitely recommend the Westin in Annapolis as a place to have your wedding.

My daughter's wedding was spectacular from start to finish. Communication with William was easy and he always responded immediately to all of our questions. The tasting that he set up for us was amazing and not what we expected at all. Every detail of the wedding was executed flawlessly!! The ballroom looked simply magical! It was stunning! All of the food from cocktail hour, the main meal and the snack station was superb. So many people commented on how good the food was. Someone asked me if anything went wrong or was not quite like we hoped and I can honestly say that The Westin handled everything flawlessly. We could not be happier with our decision to have our daughter's wedding at The Westin - we made the absolute best choice in doing so. William and his staff truly made it the best day of my daughter's life, we are beyond grateful.

We absolutely LOVED working with William Grace and the staff at the Westin for our wedding. William truly knows his stuff when it comes to wedding and event planning and thought of everything down to every last detail. He was a pleasure to work with and helped us create a beautiful wedding. The food was probably some of the best food we have ever had at a wedding too! If you're looking for a venue that will give you five star service then the Westin is for you!

The experience we had at The Westin Annapolis far surpassed our expectations. The wedding reception was perfect from beginning to end. Thais Joy, our wedding coordinator at The Westin, took the time to get to know us and had a clear understanding of the mood we wanted to create for our guests. She had an eye for detail and didn't leave any "stone unturned". Since most of our guests traveled from out of town to attend we provided a brunch the next morning. Again, Thais made certain everything was perfect. My husband and I were able to spend quality time with our guests at the reception as well as brunch because we knew Thais had everything under control. The Westin Annapolis was very accommodating, welcoming, and had excellent follow through. It was perfect!!

William Grace and the entire Westin team met and exceeded all expectations. The entire team are experts at what they do and it shows, from signing the contract to helping pick out linens, to finding the best vendor in the industry. At no point in the planning process did any questions go unanswered which took a lot of stress off of us.

Working with William Grace truly made my wedding planning experience! He is so kind and enthusiastic and extremely responsive! Throughout the process, he made sure everything was perfectly organized and kept everything moving the day of the wedding. It was an absolute joy working with him, and my husband and I couldn't be happier with our experience with the Westin Annapolis! Highly recommended!

We just came back from our son's wedding at the Westin Annapolis and we could not have been more happy with the weekend. The hotel staff was very responsive to our needs including handling unexpected guests at the brunch the day after the reception. The food was delicious- not your normal wedding appetizers or entrees and Thais, the event manager was so helpful with helping us make selections and stay within our budget. If you're planning a wedding in beautiful Annapolis this is the place to have it!

From beginning to end, the Westin provided excellent service! I was really impressed with their responsiveness, customer service, and professionalism. All of my wedding dreams truly came true with William's help and advice along the way! I recommend having your next event at the Westin in Annapolis!

After our original venue cancelled on us (yep it was awesome) the Westin stepped in no problem. Thais was the miracle worker of our wedding, made it so simple for us, from check-in, to guiding us through which table set up was best for our guest numbers, to getting us lined up for the ceremony and me down the aisle. Would highly recommend you will NOT be disappointed!

The Westin did a fabulous job! The ballroom was simply stunning. Thais Joy was a pleasure to work with. She made the process lovely. Everything from the food tasting with the Executive Chef, Wine pairing and the fine details. I could not have asked for a better Hotel or Wedding Coordinator. My daughters wedding reception could not have been an better. The food is fabulous. The staff is professional and service oriented. I would recommend The Westin and Thais Joy to any bride considering their reception here. We had a little over 250 guests and it was unforgettable. The Westin & William Grace were absolutely a DREAM to work with. We began looking for venues last June (2015) for a summer 2016 wedding and quickly realized that Annapolis venues were nearly booked. After submitting multiple venue requests throughout Annapolis, we visited the Westin and instantly fell in love. The venue is absolutely beautiful, the food was FANTASTIC and our wedding coordinator at the Westin was truly what made our experience 10 out of 5 stars. To say William Grace was perfect would be an understatement. Being a bride who took on the role of not hiring a wedding planner, I quickly realized why people pay so much money for one. However, William was the perfect addition to all of my planning needs. An email to him never goes unanswered and even better, is usually answered in less than 5 minutes. He answered all of my out of the blue questions and even helped me to create a wedding timeline for our wedding weekend. William coordinated with all of the vendors and each one had nothing but outstanding things to say about how professional and timely he was and how he went out of his way to assure all aspects of our wedding were beyond our expectations. I could list all of the other tasks that William helped me with, but the list would go well past the allowed character amount of this review. If you are thinking about having your wedding at the Westin, do it! It was honestly the best decision we made. Also -- splurge for the draping of the ballroom. When William told us in the beginning that it was a complete transformation, we didn't realize just how true that was. Simple draping with uplighting made the room look absolutely stunning.
The Westin, and mainly William Grace, made all of my wedding dreams come true. When you let William use his fabulous designing skills and guide you in the direction of your vision, you will have a wedding that you thought was only in your dreams.

Words can not express how pleased we were with William Grace and the Westin. From our initial contact with William to the last dance,all of our request and dreams were fulfilled. Beyond our expectations. His professionalism, guidance,communication and knowledge was amazing. Working for the public we are tasked with responding to our customers in a timely manner, William puts me to shame. My daughter and I communicated with William quite often during our 13 months of planning and I can honestly say my emails and phone calls were returned within minutes every time. William is an asset to the Westin and to all bridal families lucky enough to have him by their side as they plan for that special day. Five stars are not enough for the service we received, William is amazing!!! Thank you!

The Westin Annapolis is a top-notch wedding venue and no one is better that William Grace. From the moment I started looking at hotel venues in Annapolis, William was consistently super responsive, accommodating and informative. Other hotel venues in Annapolis either took days to get back to us, or never responded at all!! I would do it all over again in a heartbeat!!!

From our initial visit to the The Westin Annapolis in November 2014, when we were visiting various venues to select a wedding venue, to our wedding day in October 2015, we were made to feel like we were the hotel's only clients and our wedding was the only wedding being held at the hotel. I did not have a wedding planner so selecting The Westin Annapolis was the perfect decision, because my wedding was amazing! I feel blessed to have found The Westin Annapolis for my wedding. I initially worked with Hope S. up until about a month before my wedding. She was amazing to work with and I was very lucky that the hotel has an amazing staff, because William Grace, the hotel's Director of Catering became my new contact. William took over where Hope left off. He responded immediately to my many email questions and concerns, and made me feel confident that my wedding would be fabulous! I was able to enjoy every aspect of my wedding day, because William and the catering staff made everything seamless. So many of our guests have shared with us how they enjoyed the venue and the food, and found the staff (including William, the front desk, valet, servers, bartender, etc.) to be great! William's passion in his email signature is "creating fabulosity." His passion was seen by my husband and I, and our guests. We are forever grateful to William for helping to make one of the most important days in our lives an amazing success!! If you are looking for a venue for your special day, look no further, The Westin Annapolis is the venue and you will not regret your decision.

Everything provided to us from the Westin in Annapolis was first class ! William, the Catering Director is amazing, he made us feel so secure about every detail associated with our event. I would book this facility again and highly recommend it if you are planning a wedding or any other special occasion. I give them a 10 out of 10 !

Our experience at the Westin was Exceptional!! From the moment we went to the Westin to see about having the wedding reception there, we knew that we had to have it at the Westin. William Grace, Director of the Catering at the Westin was by far the most pleasant, accommodating, fun, professional, talented individual to work with....he made you feel like you were the only client he had. We knew it would be fabulous because of him! Our guests are still raving about the wedding reception, they told us that it was the best wedding they had ever been to. We had 193 guests of which 111 stayed overnight at the hotel. In addition to hosting a reception, we had a breakfast for all of the guests that stayed at the hotel. William was also in charge of the brunch and we could not have had a nicer experience. The guests raved about the FOOD, it was exceptional. They claim that it was the best food they have had at any wedding and even 5 star restaurants. We will be back to the Westin. You too will have a pleasant experience and especially if you get the privilege and honor to work with William and the fantastic staff at the Westin...from William, to the front desk staff, to housekeeping and the CHEF...you will be treated wonderfully!

I planned the wedding with my daughter who lives in England, Responses to requests were always within 24 hours and that includes the booking of hotel rooms. Staff used their initiative by using the flowers from the wedding at the breakfast brunch tables. Staff were discrete but efficient. The wedding was a great success made possible by Hope and her staff.

Our experience was amazing with the Westin Annapolis. William Grace and his staff were first class from beginning to end. Every detail was the most important detail and we can truthfully say that the entire wedding reception went on without a hitch. One of the most important points is that the parents of the bride were able to actually enjoy the wedding reception and were not burdened with logistical issues and constant disruptions. We highly recommend the Westin Annapolis and its professional team for a truly memorable experience.

To express how extraordinary William and the entire staff at the westin is an understatement !!! William, Michael, the chef and the staff exceeded our expectations by one million percent! The food at the celebration was off the charts! Most of our guests were from New York and they have not stopped raving about the hotel accommodations, the celebration and the brunch! It was a perfect weekend, not a stone was unturned!
It was a pleasure working with William! His proffesionalism and patience with me, my daughter and my husband was extraordinary! He is a man of his word and sure goes the extra mile to keep his clients happy ! Most important the bride and groom are still on cloud nine!

Incredible is the best way to describe my experience with The Westin Annapolis and staff. I have dreamt about this day since I was little and I don’t know how William Grace and The Westin Annapolis staff were able to take my dream and exceed it. William was always very responsive, which was perfect for this spastic bride. He always made me feel as if I was the only bride he was working with! Donna Flynn, the lady who handled the room block, was also amazing! One phone call or email to her and Donna took care of all my needs. Both William and Donna made the wedding planning process less stressful. The day of the event could not have gone better. William and Michel Cote, the banquet manager, made sure the entire day went smoothly. They both worked well with all the vendors, which helped my dad be completely stress free. I heard so many stories from other brides about how you have to let go of control the day of because things will always go wrong and you will never stay on schedule. Obviously these brides did not get married at The Westin Annapolis or have a team as fabulous as Williams’s team because my day stayed on schedule and not a single thing went wrong! I will forever be grateful to William Grace and his team for making mine and my husband’s dreams come true. Thank you

My husband and I had our reception at The Westin Annapolis in September 2014. We could not have had a more excellent experience! From the beginning, our coordinator at the Westin was very communicative and responsive. They always provided answers to our questions and all of the information that we needed for planning. The food was amazing and many of our guests commented on how much they enjoyed their meals. Both the quality as well as the presentation of each course of the meal was wonderful. The large ballroom provided a spacious and comfortable room for our guests for the reception. William Grace made sure that every last detail was looked after in preparation for the reception and we knew that we were in good hands with his management! From the table settings, to the logistics of the reception, to the wonderful food and beverages, everything was of the best quality and we were very impressed. The Westin provided a beautiful environment and treated both us and our guests with the highest level of service throughout our wedding. We enjoyed every minute and couldn't have asked for a better experience!

Our guests were raving about how awesome our reception was. They loved the duet for dinner and the petite filet was like butter. Service was excellent, friendly, and attentive to our special requests. With William, you can trust that every detail will be taken care of. He is a true professional! No question left unanswered. Hotel staff was incredibly helpful with our ever-expanding room block. Guests loved exploring Annapolis pre and post-wedding on the circulator. All in all it was an incredible value for all the elegance, service, and convenience that we received in return. Nothing but good things to say about the Westin!!!

My husband and I had looked at several other properties to hold our ceremony and reception (including another Westin), and we ultimately settled on this one. We had such a beautiful wedding here on 8/9/14! The food was great and the service was exceptional. William Grace was my main point of contact at the Westin Annapolis, and he made sure that everything was taken care of.

My husband and I visited numerous wedding venues, but nothing compared to the Westin Annapolis. It is centrally located in the heart of Annapolis, near public transportation, ample restaurants, and it is a beautiful hotel! Looking back, we are so glad we decided to have our room block and wedding reception at the Westin Annapolis. The hotel and location are incredible, but what truly "sold" us on the venue was the event coordinator, William Grace. He is essentially a professional at creating FABULOSITY! He began carrying out my vision for the reception from day one until the night of the actual reception, when it was executed flawlessly by William and his set-up team. My guests are still talking about how wonderful the reception was from the decor, layout, food, and service.

Our wedding was planned from a different state (essentially a destination wedding), but William communicated with us almost daily and responds within minutes. He answered all of my questions and concerns throughout the entire planning process. He was extremely flexible and creative when it came to decorations, etc. William also met with my husband, my Mother (co-wedding planner), and I on several occasions to discuss wedding details. He made the planning process fun and seamless!

Also, the room block coordinator, Donna Flynn was remarkable. She sent frequent emails with an attached updated rooming list for our guests. In addition, our guests received the welcome bags we provided upon their arrival with no issues.

We HIGHLY recommend this venue for a wedding reception or catered event!

I am so incredibly happy my husband and I picked such a fabulous venue to have our wedding and reception. William Grace is superb..I can't say enough about how they handled with every little detail to the physical tasks as well as my nerves. Donna Flynn (rooming coordinator for guests) had excellence service as well. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this venue for ceremony and reception.

We had a wonderful experience hosting our wedding reception at the Westin in June. Nicole was so great to work with! She was very responsive and thoughtful. She offered us great ideas and advice throughout the planning process that played a roll in the success of our event. Every staff member we worked with at the Westin was great to work with, from our tasting in December, to room/guest needs, to the day of, they were receptive to our every need.

The Westin Annapolis was the perfect place for a large wedding - we had almost 200 people. The area surrounding the venue has so many fabulous things to do - which is great for out of town guests or anyone that chooses to spend the weekend there! Our event coordinator at the venue was okay - sometimes we felt he didn't have our best interest in mind - however the wedding coordinator we hired on our end was able to work many things out with him. The food was amazing! We offered filet or seabass and the kitchen was very accommodating with food allergies - everything was delicious. Any changes we wanted to make the chef was more than willing to work with us and try different things. And the hotel bar after the wedding was on point! Highly recommend The Westin!

William Grace was the Director of Catering and Convention Services for our wedding, and was always an immense help! From the very beginning when we first contacted him, he was always willing to answer questions and help guide us through the process. He even sent my husband and I an email before the wedding reminding us to eat at the wedding reception. William is extremely kind, and GREAT at his job!

This venue for our daughter's wedding was truly amazing. William Grace is the most organized and detailed professional I have worked with in years! Him and his courteous staff made our daughter's wedding the best day of our life! Truly amazing-I look forward to hosting other events at the Westin in Annapolis!

The absolute best decision we made was to have our wedding at The Westin. The very first meeting we had with Nicole she impressed us so much that we decided on the spot to have our wedding there-she is AMAZING! Every time I emailed her I got a reply back usually within a few minutes- I emailed her on a Friday night and she replied immediately. The level of service and professionalism she exhibited make the Westin shine! The days of our rehearsal and wedding and the breakfast the next day we experienced such wonderful service from every staff member we encountered from valet to bartenders to servers. My hair and makeup people were stunned that they were helped up to our room by a Westin staff member-they stated to me that this was the 1st time any hotel staff had ever done that for them. Our wedding was flawless, the food was delicious, the ballroom was beautiful, our personal server was so sweet, no one had to wait for a drink, the guest rooms were comfortable, we just cannot say enough about what a wonderful experience this was for us! You cannot go wrong having your wedding here!

I would highly recommend The Westin Annapolis, William Grace & the entire Westin Annapolis staff! They all made planning my daughter's wedding so easy! The Westin Annapolis is a beautiful venue. Our guests raved about the hotel accommodations, the service throughout their stay and the food at the reception! William Grace was wonderful to work with! He and his staff were attentive, professional and so kind. He gave us great ideas and was willing to do whatever he could to help make the whole process as stress free as possible. That was no easy task given we live out of state!!

I worked with Nicole G at the Westin Annapolis. She is so responsive, patient and kind! She was able to answer all of the questions that my father and I asked her pretty much daily in the months leading up the wedding. She was just so easy to work with and was great at giving us ideas for parts of the wedding that we were unsure of.

The day of, was just amazing. The ceremony was set up exactly as expected. Our decorations were handled with care and placed in just the right spots. The cocktail hour was amazing! We had a mashed potato bar which was such a hit!! I've been told that all of the other appetizers were delish as well, even though I didn't get to enjoy any of them.

Every table was set up exactly as planned. The gift table, guest book table, and the placecard tables were all set up perfectly as well. I was so happy to see how beautiful the room looked with everything put together.

The food, omg, the food. We had the Beef tenderloin with gorgonzola butter, the roasted chicken with sherry sauce and the mahi mahi topped with crab as our options for dinner. Every steak that came out was cooked uniformly and to perfection, a nice medium rare. It was soooo good! I have also been told by those who got the chicken that it was moist and delicious and those who got the fish that it was also delectable. We were concerned about the food at first because we know how hard it is for a caterer to get 175 dishes out of the kitchen at the same time and all be cooked perfectly, but some how they got it done! I couldn't have been happier.

The rooms- We had about 60 rooms booked in the room block, about 1/2 of them booked AFTER the deadline for the group rate, but were still able to get the discount. We did have some people say they were charged extra though, but once they called up the Westin to talk to them, they were able to get it straightened out.

I absolutely loved the Westin for my 1/11/14 wedding, I don't even know where to start! The venue is the biggest, newest and nicest in downtown Annapolis. The hotel accommodations are unmatched, if you're having a block of rooms for your guests. The food was phenomenal...seriously. Their lowest tier of bar is on par with other venues' middle tier,. I thought about having my reception somewhere closer to the water and the bottom of Main Street, but the niceness of the Westin far outweighed being a few blocks closer.

As far as the services they provide, that might be the biggest unexpected value. I worked with Nicole, had no wedding planner and was on a tight budget, so almost all of our stuff was DIY. She didn't mind at all. She was available throughout the entire process to answer a million little questions and provided a lot of guidance for the reception that made it go very smoothly. The weekend of the wedding, we pulled up with our dozens of boxes of stuff and she checked them, let us know what was missing, tied up any loose ends we forgot, and set everything up the day of. I was completely at ease when it came to anything that was in her hands.

As for the price, the Westin is definitely among the more expensive options in downtown. However, I researched other options thoroughly and kept finding hidden fees (venue, bartender, adding extra entree options, etc.). The price you see at the Westin is the price you get, and that's it. Also, I would have had to rent linens or chairs or added extra decor for other venues because what they had wasn't nice enough. The Westin price also includes a 5-hour reception instead of 4-hour, which in my mind was a must. So, overall, it wasn't actually that much more expensive than other places for what we got and I definitely felt it was worth it.

If there were anything else I could say to make it clear just how perfect the Westin was for our wedding I would say it! The entire process was wonderful from start to finish.

From the first day I contacted William Grace at the Westin, I have experienced the utmost courtesy and professionalism. I had spoken to or visited seven venues for my daughter's wedding reception, and William was the deciding factor in choosing The Westin. He was prompt to our meetings, kind, and very responsive to any question or request. I had a feeling of confidence and very little stress over the planning of this event. William was always available. He assured me from the beginning that the reception would be amazing and it was that and more.
The hotel itself was wonderful to me, my family, and my guests. The accommodations were wonderful, the front desk was very quick to assist, and the wait staff was great.

I normally do not do reviews of places, restaurants, etc but for once I feel the need to share with everyone the amazing experience I had at the westin Annapolis for my wedding reception on october 18, 2013. I had a very small reception of just family and a few close friends. After checking out most places in Annpolis for a venue that would fit our needs (main need was that we needed a wheelchair accesible room for one of our family members) we happened upon the Westin almost by accident. The room was perfect and from the very beginning of planning with William Grace (the best catering director you will find) everything came together seemessly. We don't live far but only had to visit the site once before the wedding and that was just for final numbers(which I am sure still could have been done trhough email) as the rest of my correspondance with William was through email. When the day of the wedding came, everything we had planned was not only perfect but it was above and beyond our expectations, even down to the lovely woman who checked us in/out of the hotel. The bar and reception food area was beautiful and way above what I expected. The food and drinks were amazing and I would reccomend it to anyone who is looking to have a wedding, or even any other event, in the Annapolis area....I know that if I am planing any other sort of function in the future I will definately be talking to William Grace again. I don't know what else to say other than the whole experience from check in, to dinner, to check out was nothing short of extrodinary!!

William Grace and his team at the Westin Annapolis really did create the wedding of my dreams. My husband and I got married August 17, 2013 and it was everything we had ever wanted and more! The staff members at the Westin really do go above and beyond to make everything perfect.

William Grace is an absolute DREAM to work with and I have no other way to describe it! He is extremely knowledgeable for all things wedding and always willing to answer any questions. His quick responses to email are unlike any other vendor which is extremely helpful when planning a wedding! He will make sure everything about your event is flawless.

I stayed in the Presidential Suite the night before the wedding and it was amazing. Perfect space to get ready with all your bridesmaids in; I would highly recommend booking both nights!

All the guests are raving about how great the steak and crab cakes were. Michael Cote, Banquet Manager was very helpful in making sure all the little details were as planned throughout the night. He was there until the end of the night and he was back bright and early the next morning and offering to help us pack up.

In the last couple of weeks leading up to the wedding the Westin had some upgrades both the lobby the ballroom. It looks more beautiful now than it did when we booked it! I could not imagine having my wedding anywhere else and if I could do it all over again I would not change a thing. Everything about it was fabulous.

The Westin is a beautiful place for any event with a gorgeous ballroom and amazing food but without William Grace and his staff it wouldn't have been quite the same. I will always remember him leading my husband and I into the ballroom to get a peak before all the guests. The room was absolutely breathtaking and more then we could have ever imagined. I can't thank William enough for making our wedding so magical. It really was the best day of our lives!

William Grace and his team at the Westin are absolutely fabulous! I had my wedding here on June 22, 2013 and it truly was the best day of my life! William is amazing to work with. He is extremely prompt with email and phone calls and will do everything in his power to help create the wedding of your dreams. We had a lot of guests staying in the hotel for the weekend and everyone raved about how great everything was. I am still getting compliments on how awesome the food was. James Barrett, the executive chef, is also fabulous to work with. We had several guests with severe food allergy's/gluten free/ lactose intolerance etc. and the Westin handled all of these requests flawlessly. We also hosted a brunch the morning after the wedding for our guests which was a perfect way to say goodbye to everyone. The Westin Annapolis truly went above and beyond my wedding expectations. William Grace was my coordinator, and he was FABULOUS! He was extremely accommodating and very responsive to all of my frantic bride emails. I just had my wedding at the Westin Annapolis this past Saturday and all I can say is WOW! Everything was absolutely perfect and I could not be happier with the service provided by the Westin. The attention to detail in setting up for the wedding was incredible - everything was exactly how I requested and the ballroom looked absolutely gorgeous. In addition, the food was amazing and the staff was very attentive. I worked with William Grace in coordinating my wedding, and he did a fabulous job. He was responsive, creative with solving any problems that arose, and flexible in meeting all of my requests. He also worked very well with the "day of" coordinator I hired in helping the day go smoothly. I also had many of my guests stay in the Westin, and Jeff Clark and Donna Flynn did an amazing job in coordinating our room block. Many of my guests told me that my wedding was the best they've ever been to, and everyone had a blast! I should also mention that I found the pricing for the Westin to be very reasonable, given all that you receive in the per person price (linens, chairs, food, alcohol, etc.). All in all I could not be happier with my decision to have my wedding at the Westin Annapolis!!!

5 stars all around. The Westin in Annapolis has the best coordinator, William Grace. He responds to email or phone calls faster than any other vendor I dealt with!! And with his extensive past in event coordinating he offers the best advice with all areas when planning. We liked that there is only one wedding held on each day so that set-up time is all for your event, meaning less worry about scheduling vendors.

The space was beautiful and the transition from ceremony to cocktail hour to reception was seamless (and no traveling in between!). The staff did a great job. Everyone was happy and we had a great time. The day of the wedding, I did not worry about my vendors getting there and gaining access to set up, because I trusted William and the rest of the staff to direct traffic. It was truly the BEST night. My husband and I had a great time and heard rave reviews for a full week after the wedding.

Getting married at the Westin Annapolis was an awesome experience. I must say that my wedding was the best wedding EVER! All thanks to the great catering staff at the Westin Annapolis and of course I had the pleasure of working with the Fabulous William Grace. He was very responsive to my needs and offered great advice on bringing my big day together. When I sent Will an email, he literally would respond in minutes. He is so on point!! I cannot say enough incredible things about The Westin Annapolis!! We got married on 8-25-12 and had our reception at The Westin Annapolis. The level of service at The Westin is above the rest. Throughout the past year, I was always greeted with a smile and always asked how I could be helped by the employees, even by employees I had never met. I am definitely the kind of person who loves her ducks in a row and after my first meeting at The Westin, I knew that I didn't have to worry about a thing.

William Grace is AMAZING!!!! His responsiveness to emails is unbelievably fast and he really goes the extra mile to make sure that your wedding dreams become a reality. Every vision I had for my wedding, William made note of and my wedding day was just flawless. I honestly did not have to worry about a thing because all of the employees at The Westin were there to make the day magical.

The venue is just beautiful as well. I really made a weekend of it by using all of the things around The Westin. My guests loved downtown Annapolis. We used The Wild Orchid for our rehearsal dinner, The Aveda Salon for my hair and make-up, Fado's for our reception after party, and Carpaccio's for our wedding brunch on Sunday. This location is just amazing.

I had my wedding reception at the Westin Annapolis in June and cannot say enough about how wonderful it was. The director of catering, William, was fabulous to work with, he has an amazing sense of style and design and was extremely responsive to any questions I had. Every detail was perfect--from the way the napkins were folded, to the NY strip steak that was served for dinner, and much of that had to do with William. He is very creative and organized and not only ensured that our reception was beautiful, but also that everything ran smoothly.

I would HIGHLY recommend having your event at the Westin. I had high expectations for my reception and they were far exceeded by the Westin and their fabulous staff.

Laura Fosler made our day and the whole expereince with the Westin a Joy. No detail was forgotten, the service was excellent, and the venue is beautiful, clean, and well presented from the minute you hit the door until the minute you left.**** Honorable mention: One of our guest lost a valuable piece of jewelery, and one of the Westin Staff found it and brought it immediately to the me... the bride immediately... I was both grateful and very impressed!.. as well as my guest who lost the jewelery... this is such an honorable action, I wish I had gotten the staff persons name... but clearly it was a natural reaction on her part of working there....jsut turned it in.... did the right thing!!!...........thanks to Laura and the Westin Staff!!!

We loved this venue! All of our guests commented on how beautiful the hotel looked, and Laura and her staff were so easy to work with. This venue could not have been more perfect!

We began speaking with Cathy Sandler and other members of the Westin staff before the venue's construction was even completed. We were sold right away on Cathy's personality and what the Westin had to offer us - we were right to go with that instinct because our wedding day turned out to be everything that we had hoped for. The staff was exceedingly helpful to all of our guests, whether they stayed at the hotel or not. The ballroom is beautiful and just neutral enough to suit any color scheme or theme you could come up with. I dropped off my centerpiece items and gift bags the Wed before my wedding with instructions and at our reception, everything looked perfect and just the way I had wanted. If there were any snags during the 'production', we never knew about it. My husband and I were able to truly ENJOY our reception and leave everything else up to Cathy and her staff. They handled everything. My food was really good (I actually had time to eat it) and I heard from several guests that they enjoyed their food as well. I have no complaints about this venue at all and would recommend it to any bride who wants to put on a classy affair without a lot of hassle. We were very casual with our reception but Cathy and the Westin can put on just about any level you would like. In fact, they turned the room after our navy blue and burnt orange reception was over into a stunning pink affair for the bride whose reception was after ours. And they did it in record time too. Anyway, they were all great and anyone would do well to book here.

Thais, the wedding coordinator, was a key part of our wedding day going so smoothly. I had to plan our wedding from San DIego, and she was so accommodating with questions I had (particularly since I had to book a venue without seeing it in person first!). She was extremely accommodating to our plans and executed our wishes perfectly. I would highly, HIGHLY recommend getting married at the Westin Annapolis!

I don' even know where to begin, our experience with the Westin was so wonderful! From our first meeting when we walked through and knew it was the place we wanted to have our wedding to the last moment of our special day. We worked with Thais and she made sure that everything was seamless. She was so responsive and did a great job managing my large family and all their questions. Our wedding day was more than we could have ever imagined. The room looked absolutely beautiful and the food was amazing! Everybody is still raving about it! Each and every person we interacted with a the Westin was welcoming and worked to make sure that our needs were met.

My husband and I had our reception at the Westin and could not be happier with how everything turned out. We worked closely with Hope who was so quick to respond with any questions or concerns that we had. I definitely suggest staying at the hotel the night before because it really made the getting ready process go really smoothly. Also, Hope was awesome working with the other vendors and helping them get set up so that when we arrived for the reception everything looked perfect! All of our guests said that the food was amazing; we did a buffet option and all the food turned out great! The atmosphere for a wedding here is really nice; If you're looking for a venue in the downtown annapolis area, I definitely recommend checking out the Westin.

William Grace and his staff at the Westin Annapolis were superb. Since we were primarily planning the wedding from long distance, he made planning very simple and I knew we were in good hands. Day of, we had nothing to worry about. Everything was perfect and exactly the way we hoped it would be, if not better. When we walked into the ball room for the first time, we were blown away. Everyone had an amazing time and had nothing but wonderful things to say... the food, the drinks, the room, everything! The Westin & Jeff were amazing to work with. The food was THE best wedding food we've ever tasted, and trust us we've had a lot. All of our friends and family are still raving about how good the food was - grilled ceasar salad, steak filets, and risoto. Can't say enough good things about it!

We were able to work with the Westin to make slight changes that helped to accomodate our budget. The hotel room rates are also significantly disounted for wedding party guests.The staff & service were excellent, however, there was one small mix-up with the ending of the open bar. The misunderstanding was quickly resolved though.

We used house chairs. They are in great shape and we used linens to help blend them in with the tablescape, which turned out beautifuly. Save your money from the popular chivari chairs & use the house chairs.

My mom, who lives out of town, is a DIYer and had a lot of decor she wanted to add to the reception space. Jeff worked to grant us access to the small room next to the ballroom (it wasn't booked) to set-up & store the decor a day before so that my mom wouldn't be tasked with organizing it during the day of the wedding. Jeff went above and beyond to accomodate us & was very vigiliant in communicating with us months & weeks leading up to the big day.

Fantastic service. Great staff -- very accomodating. Very well organized. They hosted the president 3 days before us and gave us the same special treatment that they gave him. No problems with special requests -- they really make the day all about you.

After meeting with several other venders for a venue, we stopped by the Westin without an appointment simply to look around. The event coordinator, who was on her way to another meeting, took a few minutes to give us a tour and schedule a more formal appointment. From the first meeting, Nicole Gruschow, was professional, accomodating and most of all available to answer and adjust details, especially the last few weeks when the bride to be emailed her on a daily basis. We had the ceremony at the Westing followed by the reception and the transistion was seamless. The food was excellent. The entire staff was accomodating, patient, and went the extra mile to insure the bridal party and all our guest enjoyed themselves.

Having my wedding at The Westin in Annapolis was the best and biggest decision that we made regarding the wedding. The hotel was gorgeous, the staff were amazing and accommodating, and the ballroom was so lovely.

We worked with Laura Fosler at the Westin - she was so kind, and professional. I highly recommend working with her. She made sure that the day went smoothly and made sure that all the details were worked out.

The food was absolutely terrific, our guests were raving about the crab cakes and the raw bar. I very highly recommend having a wedding a the Westin. Having the ceremony/reception at the hotel was great - especially for out of town guests, so that guests would just go right upstairs after a night of partying and dancing. There is also a shuttle to downtown Annapolis which was great for our out of town guests to explore the town.

The Westin Annapolis did a fantastic job with our large wedding. We had a lot of different people involved with the planning and everyone had different ideas about how things should be done. The Westin was able to take these ideas all into account and executed an amazing event. There were a lot of details to manage for our wedding and they got all of them just right. The chef is also great and prepares excellent food, even for large groups.

I chose this Westin for my wedding reception venue and was very satisfied with the quality of services provided. Working closely with the catering / banquet manager William was a pleasure. His experience, patience and attention to detail was excellent. There were minor issues with overnight guest check in, & organization of seating, but overall the ballroom setup was beautiful and exceeded my expectations.

We were very impressed with the turn out of our reception (we had a destination wedding earlier in the year, and had the reception locally)! The food was amazing - we did the Antipasto display to start with passed mini crabcakes, then the Downtown pasta and the Downtown Action Stations (the skirt steak was a big, big, surprise hit!). For dessert, we did the fondue which everyone loved as well. The only hiccup was the timing of some of the stuff, but it worked out well anyway.

The staff during the event was great - special shout out to our bartender!

I have to admit I was a little nervous because we had a few switches in planners over the last few months but Thais did a great job pulling it all together!

We recently celebrated my daughter's wedding at the Westin Annapolis and I can't say enough about how wonderful it was to work with the incredible director of catering, William Grace. The Westin is very fortunate to have him, and every interaction with William was a 5 star experience. We had a vision for what we hoped the reception would be, and William partnered with our incredible planners from Elizabeth Bailey Weddings (also a 5 star experience--thank you Lee Kendall and Kate Bittrick) to bring that vision to a reality that absolutely exceeded our expectations! William was there for every minute of our elegant reception The delicious food, breath-taking florals and attention to detail has us still trying to ramp down as we continue to receive tremendous feedback. Best of all, I felt confident in the run-up to the wedding that everything was under control, and I enjoyed myself as much as our guests did! I have nothing but great things to say about the Westin! Cathy and Laura were super helpful, and everything went very smoothly. The ballroom was GORGEOUS and the food was delicious--I got a lot of compliments on it. A pricy venue, I think, but absolutely worth it.

In the beginning, we got stuck with a bad planner who was soon fired afterwards. At the time, we still had about 6 months left in our planning, so it wasn't a huge deal that our bad planner was let go. We soon began working with a wonderful girl, Suzanne, and the catering manager, Bonnie. Both of these ladies provided excellent service and attention to detail!! I didn't have to do anything on my wedding day and my fears were put to rest (I thought I was going to have to have a DOC, but didn't need one!) We got our money worth for everything!! The hotel is brand new and it has a contemporary modern style to it...perfect for any modern couple!!! Highly recommend!

Overall, my experience with the Westin was fantastic. It gave me real peace of mind because they took care of everything. They took care of the food, the cake, the decorations all in one place. I never had so many people come up to me and say what a beautiful reception. Also the package included an open bar, a cocktail hour with hour with hors d'oeuvres, and a delicious sit down dinner with salad and entrees. All of this you get to pick from there wide selection. The food was delicious and everyone had only great things to say about the service.

Everyone on the staff was truly a pleasure to work with, especially Laura Fosler. She is genuine and really wants to be able to make your wedding day special. After the wedding and we went up to our suite, there was a card with champange and chocolate covered strawberries. Those little details are what make the Westin so great at what they do.

The only thing that caught me off card was the six percent tax and the twenty-two percent service charges. Make sure you put extra money aside for this because it added quite a bit of money.

Other than that I would recommend the Westin to anyone for any type of special event. But they are truly fantasic when it comes to weddings.

Our wedding at the Westin Annapolis was absolutely beautiful and very elegant. It was exactly what we wanted and the staff at the Westin were professional, helpful and accomodating!

Many of our guests have told us it was one of the nicest receptions they have been to. We have received many compliments on the meals that were served - I loved how all tables received their meals at the same time!

My only complaint is that the night flew by too quickly!

We worked with William Grace at the Westin Annapolis for our wedding ceremony and reception on March 23, 2019. William was very responsive to all my emails and was very helpful with helping us understand the process and venue set-up. As far as pricing for the events, just know going in that there are always additional costs to the per-person rate (service charges, taxes, etc.) and factor that into your budget considerations.

Everyone at the Westin was very helpful throughout the whole process leading up to the wedding and on our wedding day. The only twist which was difficult was when our coordinator who we had worked with from the start, took a new position out of state and we then worked with a new coordinator. It was difficult at that time to build up a rapport with the new coordinator since we were so far along in the planning process. We made it though though and it was a beautiful day. The food is amazing and the Westin really will work with you to make it unique to your wants/needs.

The Westin really made our day come to a reality. It was a ton of work, but they had many people on staff in contact with me constantly. They answered all of my questions, met with me whenever I needed and always had a prompt and professional answer. The price is high, but for all that they do, if you want a very classy and fun affair, it is absolutely worth every penny. The food is nearly gourmet, all of my guests raved about the food. They accepted a large amount of decorations that I had provided myself and with minimal instruction, set everything up to a picture perfect lay out. AND repacked everything very carefully for me afterward and nothing was broken. William Grace was my event planner after Nicole Gruschow, who initially helped me decide to book there. Both of them went through even the tiniest details with me and my family members, making sure that everything from the room to the table cards were just to my vision. They really do an excellent job at being professional, friendly, stylish, knowledgeable, and most of all, they have everything under control. Which is really what a frantic bride-to-be needs. I am so glad we held our wedding ceremony and reception at the Westin Annapolis! From the first meeting I was very impressed with the venue and professionalism of the staff. We had a Sunday wedding so they were very flexible in working with our budget, while still focusing on making us happy. We also booked and planned the wedding in less than 6 months so they are easily able to work with reduced timelines.

The hotel is very new and the decor is much more modern and minimalist as opposed to many traditional hotels. The staff were exceedingly professional and very easy to work with. We enjoyed the seated dinner and open bar! The only problems we had were that some of the fish entree portions were small and the cake pieces were cut quite small. Other than that, everything went very smoothly and there was no need for a day of coordinator. Another bonus was the free suite the night of the wedding and hotel rewards points that can go towards future hotel stays.

The overall services provided my my Sales Manager, Hope Sulerzyski were outstanding. She and her team were extremely accommodating to our needs. The event catering/wait staff were great. The only issue I had with day was the preparation of the top sirloin beef option. I was asked how I preferred the steaks cooked and I said, Well. However, when they were served a large portion of them were Rare. They were accommodating to cook the steaks for any guests who made the request.

I had the most beautiful wedding reception here-obviously I'm biased but it was absolutely charming. I worked with Laura Fostler who was incredibly receptive to all of my crazy bride requests and the reception went without a hitch. The food was also delicious. It was really expensive, though. I think it was worth it, but it still seems like SO much money! Laura was awesome throughout the whole process except for the actual day of-there was another wedding that day, and she was very pre-occupied which kind of bummed me out. But we got an upgrade to the presidential suite and were really well taken care of. All in all, and awesome experience!

Working with Thais was awesome, she made us feel comfortable and she was very professional and responsive. All of the staff was very helpful and friendly. The hotel suite we stayed in was phenomenal. The venue is just so beautiful and top notch. It really helped us achieve the elegant atmosphere we were hoping for. Everything went smoothly the day of, but there were a few things discussed/promised that didn't really happen on the day of (mostly in regards to catering and setup). This was the only area i felt as though I did not receive extraordinary service. The meal was still cooked wonderfully and well enjoyed by all. Another thing I will mention to brides - be careful in the contract about the linens. The package only includes SOME of the linens and only the base ones - it covers the banquet tables basically. When we met with the Westin's partner linen company, all the sudden it was going to be $1500 more in linens. I advise you to do what I did and order some of your linens from Prestige Linen and CV Linen (google them) and Amazon was helpful as well. We provided a lot of the linens for 1/3 of the cost. I wish I had known that ahead of time but it all worked out. We wouldnt change a thing about our perfect wedding day and we owe a lot of thank yous to the Westin team.

Working with Hope and her staff was so easy, and we felt very taken care of from the moment we chose this as our venue up until the big day! It was also so nice to have all of our out of town guests staying in one spot, where they could relax but also explore downtown Annapolis easily.

I worked with Hope Sulerzyski for my wedding at the Westin. Overall, I was very happy with the reception venue space, service and Food at the hotel. Hope is very prompt to respond to emails. I would highly recommend the Westin for Brides looking for beautiful wedding venues. The Bartender during the reception was slightly rude to my guests which was disconcerting. However, overall everything was perfect.

Be sure to read your contract thoroughly, the Westin charges a 22% service charge for EVERYTHING!!

The Westin Annapolis is a great venue for a Wedding. Staff was attentive, food was awesome and the location was perfect.

Everything was perfect. When we booked the Westin, we dealt with Bonnie and mid-way through the process, we were 'handed off' to Shannon. No worries - not a beat was missed. Everything was essentially seamless. There were questions that would come up and Shannon was super responsive. At some points, it seemed like we were being nickled and dimed for things - but we stuck to our guns and everything worked out. There were a few little issues with communication between Shannon and the linen rental company (that she pointed us to). It all worked out in the end, but not something we needed to deal with the day before our wedding.

The entire staff at the Westin was super professional and helpful throughout the entire weekend. They went above and beyond to help us and our vendors with whatever we needed.

We recently held our wedding at the Westin Annapolis Hotel. It was an absolutely perfect day!! Throughout the planning process our coordinator changed a couple of times and we ended up working with Hope who was incredibly responsive, friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. She really helped to turn our vision into a reality. On the day of the wedding she was there the entire day with us and made sure that everything went smoothly. Our room block was perfect and working with Donna was an absolute pleasure. The were able to accommodate all of our guests and their welcome bags were distributed flawlessly. All guests raved about the accommodations- only complaint we heard was that you have to pay per day for WI-FI! The food was AMAZING. We ended up going with a duet of crab cakes and the beef gorgonzola and both of them were absolutely delicious. The servers and bartenders were all friendly, attentive, and nothing short of professional. If we had to do it all over again we would definitely select the Westin again! It's so conveniently located and the truly do a wonderful job coordinating everything.
Some advice I would give to brides planning their wedding here is to remember that the minimum amount you are required to spend does not include tax which adds an additional 30% to your bill! Make sure you take this into consideration when making your budget. I can't say enough good things about the quality of the hotel, Hope, and the food! If you want a downtown Annapolis wedding, the Westin is the way to go.

The Westin hotel had a very large ballroom. Overall, the execution was flawless. Nicole, our Westin POC, was very responsive to our many questions and requests. My only issue was with the cost of some of the upgrades that we requested (but ended up not doing due to the cost). For example, gelato for $6 per serving or mojitos for $7 (on top of the open bar that we already paid for). Also, a 22% service charge (which was taxed) was very high compared to other venues. But overall, no regrets and we were very happy with the outcome.

Out of all the vendors I worked with, The Westin Annapolis was by far the most difficult, and unfortunately the most disappointing.

Pros- The food was excellent, and the hotel location and natural decor are truly beautiful.

Cons- With any wedding, small pieces of the day don't go as planned, however, the Westin went beyond that understanding.

-The Westin sold me on the fact that they can handle large weddings. Once we booked The Westin as our venue, it felt like it was there first time handling a big wedding (about 380 people).
- I was met with constant resistance throughout the planning process instead of them trying to make things work.
- When an particular issue came up, instead of finding solutions within themselves, they persisently came to me to spend more finances. It took months of back and forth of remaining firm and saying no. It was exhausting!
- The Westin admitted did not have enough staff to properly service my wedding as there was another wedding simultaneously occurring that day/evening. As a result, certain things we planned to have for our guests were not setup timely and properly.
- The Westin staff (even management) actually lost their composure and cursed at some of our guests (the Father of the Groom being one of these guests). Yikes!!!
- The Westin staff told guests that they did not have time to setup the snack/drink food station. This was in the contract to do so. This was so disappointing and embarrassing!

A couple days after the wedding, The Westin sincerely apologized for their behavior and the mistakes made, and kindly offered free nights in addition to reducing some expenses.
Too little too late in my opinion, however :/

The Westin Annapolis is a beautiful venue in a great location, but if you want to save yourself some stress throughout the planning process and on the wedding day, look elsewhere for a venue.
