I didn't want to romanticize the wedding day too much, but it was more than I could've ever imagined. The Wedding Connection is experienced, calm, and relaxed. Casey was great to work with, and highly recommend this team for your wedding needs.
They provided a project planning site with an extensive checklist, vendor recommendations, and checked up throughout the process to see if we needed help with anything. Casey provided recommendations if I ever was unsure of something, and helped make the day extra special.

Amazing planner!
Hired as a day of planner! Everything went great and the wedding day was absolutely perfect! I had nothing to worry about as the bride because wedding connection took care of everything! Best day ever! -

Casey and the Wedding Connection team were wonderful to work with. We felt supported by them from day one. They always responded to our emails promptly and were happy to hop on calls with us as we got deep into planning. Casey provided a preferred vendor list to us which was so helpful as we searched for the right team of vendors for us, and the Aisle Planer site that her clients have access to helped us organize our guest list, seating assignments and layouts, and day-of timeline. They also kept everything calm and running smoothly on the day of the wedding. I highly recommend Casey and her team! -

Planning a wedding is stressful. Over the years, I've witnessed friends get married and been part of several weddings, always vowing to myself I would be the most laid back bride. And I feel I was pretty chill, though the nightmares and screaming matches with my now husband may beg to differ. It's still just a stressful and time-consuming experience no matter how relaxed you are, basically like a part time job I am happy to be done with! For me, not wanting a large wedding but also wanting to compromise with my fiancé during a pandemic, we opted for a medium (145 people) mostly outdoor wedding and came across The Barn at River House on the website Here Comes The Guide.
Through it all, working with Casey made the whole process much more manageable. The River House was breathtaking. It was so nice to see how it all came together the day of our wedding, just beautiful. Casey was so helpful: communicative, supportive, flexible. She reminded us of our timeline for events we needed to schedule, gave us advice on different things she'd seen at other weddings that might work for us, she coordinated with all of our vendors, she was friendly and accommodating with our friends and family, she even snapped and sent a ton of pictures of the wedding day for us to see before our photographer can get photos back to us. I'm sure she did a ton of other things I wasn't able to notice in the whirlwind of the day, but everything is greatly appreciated. We could not have asked for a better wedding coordinator and would definitely recommend her for anyone planning a wedding.The Wedding Connection's reply:

Quote of the night "Don't have a wedding without Casey." I cannot begin to fully describe the level of how much Casey saved our night but I'll try. Casey and Denise go above and beyond to aid in hiring vendors, setting up timelines and ensuring your day goes smoothly. They were absolute live savers towards the end of the week when we needed last minute rentals. On the day of the wedding, I never once had to lift a finger. I knew our day was in good hands, and I even received compliments from guests saying how well Casey was handling the whole day. At the end of the night, we encountered a problem which could have easily put a damper to the way our special day ended but Casey swooped in like a knight in shining armor. From start to absolute finish. Nothing was left out or behind.The Wedding Connection's reply:

We had originally booked our wedding for 2020, but with COVID we switched our day over to 2021. Denise was our main point of contact and did such an amazing job with communicating and making sure we were on track with everything. When we switched dates, she was so great with the transfer of everything. We used vendors that she has vetted, and all of them were amazing. Her and her team worked so well with all the other vendors at the wedding. Day of wedding Casey was lead coordinator for the day, and she did the most amazing job! Everything was so seamless and perfect! She worked so well with my family, friends and vendors to make sure everything happened, stayed on track and was smooth. We couldn’t have been more happy with the help of the whole team of Wedding Connection! They were all so kind and caring to me and everyone else involved. We had a fantastic experience working with Denise at our outdoor venue in Aptos. Our venue was rustic, simple, and knew we'd need to bring in the catering and decor and details to really bring our vision to life.
Denise helped my husband and I stay on track throughout the months leading up to the wedding. She was responsive to phone calls and emails. We appreciated her balance of guiding us, but also letting us make the final decisions that were specific to our aesthetic. She directed us to the top vendors in the area for each category, and then we selected from the list (which saved us a ton of time since we already knew they were reliable). Her recommendation for vendors were spot on, too!
Denise is a great wedding planner for anyone who has a vision in their head, but needs assistance bringing all the pieces together! -

Wedding Connection was fabulous!
Denise and staff were friendly, responsive and supportive from the start. They toured us at two venues of interest, with knowledgeable insight, great suggestions and enthusiasm. Once we selected and signed for the wedding venue (River House), Denise provided preferred vendor referrals and expert guidance every step of the way.
As the mother of the bride and a calligrapher and designer, I chose to take on some of the invitation and decorative details and advance planning. However, when it came to the big day, I knew that I could relax and fully enjoy the wedding day celebration without a worry. With Denise and staff overseeing the day, along with the amazing staff of Feast for a King catering, Kaemmerling Photography, and all the vendors; every detail was well taken care of. From the pre-wedding preparations and photo sessions to welcoming of guests, the ceremony, cocktail reception, dinner and dancing everything flowed seamlessly. It was truly a joyful celebration all around and such a memorable day for our daughter and son-in-law and all our family and friends.

Experienced and professional!
We loved working with Wedding Connection and Casey! Especially planning a wedding from out-of-state (we live in NYC), it helped so much to have the experience and professionalism of Wedding Connection. We had our wedding at River House in June 2023 and they are pros at working with this venue. They helped us so much with providing ideas and recommendations for the Santa Cruz County and made sure everything ran smoothly leading up to the event and the day of. -
