It was really important to my husband and I that our ceremony felt like more than a formality, and that our relationship with our officiant was more than just transactional. From our first call with Tanya, we knew instantly that she was the right person to marry us. She was warm, thoughtful, and genuinely invested in getting to know who we are. It was truly a bespoke and collaborative process to create the ceremony of our dreams with her.
Working with Tanya went far beyond the ceremony itself. We also chose to work with her as our vow coach, and it was one of the best decisions we made during wedding planning. She poured so much time and attention into helping us craft vows that felt perfect for us, and true to our voices. Because of her guidance, we were able to stand up there and deliver vows that felt authentically us, flawlessly, even through all of the wedding day nerves. Not only this, but her presence is so calming, which is exactly what we needed day-of.

It was such a joy to work with Tanya on our ceremony and vows! When we first reached out, we were at the very beginning of planning and didn’t know where to start. Tanya immediately put us at ease, beginning with a full-hour Zoom conversation to get to know us. We connected with her right away, especially through our shared background in the arts, and I felt excited and comfortable from the very first call.
Together we crafted a ceremony I’m thrilled with, guided by Tanya’s thorough questionnaire that made writing our vows simple and meaningful. Her process worked beautifully, and practicing with her leading up to the wedding was both fun and reassuring. On the day itself she kept everything on schedule and was wonderfully flexible with her time.
The ceremony unfolded seamlessly, and we received so many compliments on how heartfelt and memorable it was. I wholeheartedly recommend Tanya to anyone looking for a thoughtful, creative partner to help design the perfect wedding ceremony and vows. -

Tanya did an incredible job as our Vow Coach for our wedding in July 2025! We enjoyed the entire process, from completing an in-depth questionnaire about our relationship, to building our vows, and practicing our vows individually with Tanya. She offers a service and expertise unlike any other, and I am so happy we made the decision to hire her! Having Tanya on board kept our ceremony focused and meaningful, making our vows to one another front and center in our wedding, setting the mode and tone for the entire event. She helped my fiance and I stay true to one another in the midst of a million wedding details, and in return, it made our experience planning for a wedding much more enjoyable. She is kind, listened carefully to the type of ceremony were trying to create, and gave constructive, actionable feedback to help us deliver our vows with polish. George and I wanted a non-denominational yet traditional wedding ceremony that wasn’t overbearing or gimmicky. We needed a professional with presence to help lead us in a ceremony that we were both a bit nervous about. As a couple we are not ones for public proclamations, and now we were faced with putting a wedding ceremony together!
We knew we didn’t want to do personal vows, yet we wanted a ceremony that was meaningful and represented us as a couple. During our introductory call with Tanya Pushkine, she immediately understood our goals and recognized our vision. Tanya not only shared invaluable feedback based on her experiences, she provided a varied collection of readings and ideas for the ceremony as well. She acted as a counselor and coach where needed. Working with Tanya was one of the most organized and efficient experiences I’ve had with a master of ceremonies. Her response time with any of our questions was immediate and detailed. She inspired us to find a reading that was truly unique and meaningful to us as a couple.
The day of the wedding Tanya was a consummate professional; we felt completely safe in her hands. Tanya thought about everything: where should the bride and groom stand? Will I be comfortable walking down the aisle in my massive dress? She even helped guide my father, who is hard of hearing, to his seat to watch the ceremony - things that were important to us though not necessarily what I'd expect to be part of her role. Tanya's presentation was professional, warm and inviting. I was so nervous about the actual ceremony, and Tanya helped make it one of my favorite parts of our wedding. I’m eternally grateful Tanya's presence, and her participation in our wedding day.

June 1st will forever hold a special day in our hearts, a day that wouldn't have been possible without Tanya. I vividly remember coming across The Vow Whisperer on Instagram -- After reviewing Tanya's unique work, I prayed that she would be available to lead our wedding ceremony, the most important piece of our wedding day. She was! Phew!
Throughout the planning process, Tanya was professional, supportive, and an absolute joy to work with. We leaned on her for guidance, and while she supported our desires, we appreciated the fact that she was not afraid to share her opinion as well. Tanya was attentive to all of our wedding-day details, and it was impossible to not trust her in delivering the most exceptional ceremony, one that was personalized to us as a couple.
If you are on the search for an officiant that isn't a family member, I urge you to at least have an introductory call with her to get a sense of how splendid she is.

A truly magical wedding thanks to the Vow Whisperer
We recommend the Vow Whisperer wholeheartedly. A professional, tailored, personalised and supportive service from start to finish.
We are a British same-sex couple who dreamed of getting married in the heart of New York and Tanya and Paula were an integral part of making this happen.
As we are UK based this poses challenges with the time difference, but Tanya expertly ensured that this was never an issue- she expertly accommodated us & walked us through the wedding ceremony, providing us plenty of example texts to use and helping to discuss our relationship and what made it unique. This meant that we had truly customised service and ceremony.
Tanya was incredibly punctual and super supportive (and very gracious when having to chase us when we were late updating information!)- her dedication and expert knowledge meant our wedding service meant the world to us.
She encouraged us to think about what we truly wanted for the service; key words that we wanted to use, any additional meaningful ceremonial traditions etc and this led us to bring in some slightly different aspects. We then decided to include a flower garland exchange as a nod to my wife’s Hindu heritage which was just beautiful. I don’t think we would have thought of including this if we hadn’t had such in depth discussions and encouragement from Tanya.
Paula was our officiant on the day- she was absolutely lovely- welcoming, kind, and nothing was too much trouble. We loved that she took the time to check important details (like name pronunciation of the wedding party), which could be seen as small, but are super important for your wedding service.
Our friends and family all commented on our service- how beautifully constructed it was and how well it was delivered by Paula.
Absolutely wonderful job ladies and we recommend their services for your special day. You will be blown away. -

I heard Tanya on betches brides in 2021 before I was engaged and I knew that I wanted to at least have her be a part of the vow writing process for myself and my now husband. I loved the idea of us having a third party hearing and seeing both of our vows to ensure we had similar amounts of humor, seriousness, and lengths. We ended up hiring Tanya to officiate our wedding as well and we were so happy with the vow and ceremony creation process. Nothing is one size fits all with Tanya and we felt every detail was tailored to us as a couple. She met with us several times individually to practice and coach us on our public speaking with the vows and even met with me the morning of the wedding in the bridal suite to go over it one more time. She is truly a professional and knows when to get out of the way for photos during the ceremony - she even sat on the stairs of our venue while we delivered our vows to each other! We are still receiving compliments on our ceremony and vows over a month after our wedding! Tanya was a joy to work with from start to finish and I would recommend her to anyone! -

Incredible and genuine wedding officiant!
From our first meeting with Tanya, we knew she was the person we wanted to officiate our ceremony. She had a genuine interest in learning about us and our love story. She took the time to get to know us and make sure that she too felt she’d be a good fit. Once we made it official with her she kept on top of us to make sure we didn’t leave anything to the last minute.
She helped us choose our readings and format our ceremony in a way that was tailored to us.
She read over our vows to make sure they both flowed together. She provided HONEST and helpful guidance from day one, which we truly appreciated.
On the day of our wedding Tanya showed up early and was so helpful with our families and with anything that needed to be done. She was such a calming presence to have around us.
During the ceremony it was clear that she was able to draw everyone in. She kept both of us in the moment while reciting our vows to one another.
We aren’t lying when we say almost every wedding guest and our other vendors at the ceremony made comments about how amazing it was. They said our readings were personable to us, but relatable to all. They absolutely loved it.
We cannot recommend Tanya enough. She is someone who truly cares about the couples she works with. Our ceremony was so important to us, but we could never have dreamed how special it could truly be. Tanya was able to make that happen for us. Thank you Tanya!!!! -

Anyone who has ever planned a wedding knows how stressful it is, especially in the weeks leading up to the day of the event. When vendors would ask me what my “theme” or my “vision” for my wedding day was, I would respond, “us.” It was so important that the essence of mine and my partner’s relationship would shine through the hustle and bustle of my wedding day. It sounds silly, but I knew that if I did not find the right vendors for the day of, that so many important moments I was so looking forward to might be overshadowed by worry. But with Tanya, I felt at ease, and she did not disappoint. She made sure to take the time to craft the perfect ceremony, decorated with words and readings that so beautifully demonstrated who we are as a couple. Not only did I feel relaxed, but the excitement I felt was unlike anything I could have imagined, and our guests walked away from our ceremony (even out of town relatives and family friends who we did not know well) expressing how much they now felt they knew us as a couple. Tanya! There are simply not enough wonderful things I can say about Tanya and her incredible business, skill, abilities, and energy. From the second we had our first Zoom meeting in the midst of Covid, we knew that Tanya was the one we wanted to marry us. My husband and I are not particularly religious, so I was actually very stressed about the ceremony - how do I prepare a ceremony when I have no 'base'? What things am I supposed to include? Who do we find to do it? Isn't it weird to have a stranger? Tanya made what I thought was going to be the hardest part of our wedding, the most seamless, ENJOYABLE, and beautiful process. Once the pandemic lightened, we went out to drinks with her and talked about EVERYTHING, from food, to travel, to her and her husband's backgrounds, to her wedding (at our same venue), and the time passed effortlessly. She gave my husband and me such a solid base of things to incorporate into our ceremony, and we were able to work with her on how to make it a bit 'interactive' and inclusive to the people we invited. She also asked my husband and me to answer questions about each other for her to craft her portion of the ceremony, and her questions were so thoughtful and beautiful it was actually a great exercise for us pre-marriage! People are still talking about our AMAZING ceremony, and if you need an officiant, don't go with just anyone - hire Tanya to make your ceremony turn into the best part of the day -

Tanya helped me and my husband ensure our vows were a complete surprise to one another. Due to the pandemic, we had to postpone and reschedule our wedding multiple times but the one thing I never had to worry about was the most important moment, the moment we promised our vows to each other. My husband and I are used to giving public speeches and we had already written our own vows so I thought we wouldn't need anyone like Tanya. But our vows are not speeches and I couldn't get through just practicing my vows without ugly crying! Knowing that I never had to mention my vows to my fiance before the wedding made it so special. I will never forget the moment I got to share my vows with my husband! As the bride, writing our own vows was something I had wanted to do for quite some time. My (now) husband, however, was not excited about the idea but agreed to it because he knew how important it was to me. Where does one start with vows though? What if mine ended up being amazing and his ended up being something a third grader could have done better, or vice versa? Those thoughts ran through my head as the wedding day got closer and closer; he didn’t know where to start either. I found Tanya, we did a Zoom call with her and we hired her... During month 16 out of our 16 month engagement. She was the MOST flexible person I could have imagined, the SWEETEST soul and communicated BETTER than any of our wedding vendors. Her help practicing was much needed and more helpful than I imagined. Oh and the vows? Neither of us knew we (our all five of our guests) would cry so much during our vows- but in all good ways. Our vows were perfect. Neither of us had better or worse vows than the other, we both had a few jokes in our vows to make the other laugh and they were the most genuine vows we could have made. Looking back at the photos of us and our family while we were reading our vows are priceless. We couldn’t have made them without Tanya’s help though- hiring her was one of the best things we did. Everyone talked about how amazing our vows were, including our photographer who told us some cringeworthy stories about vows after our ceremony. Our photographer said our vows were some of the best she had ever heard! We didn’t tell anyone we were writing our own vows or had hired Tanya- so everyone was very surprised during the ceremony and we loved it. I could go on and on, but if you’re thinking about hiring Tanya, just do it. You won’t be disappointed and you’ll be as excited as me to print out and frame your vows for your home! -

We had originally booked Tanya for our end of summer wedding at Brooklyn Winery but when it became clear that wasn't going to happen, we decided to do something do something small and intimate at our local park. Tanya was amazing with checking in and keeping in contact since March, and it was a no brainer for us to ask her to perform the smaller ceremony when the time came. Overall she was extremely open, flexible and receptive to tailoring the it to exactly what we felt comfortable with. Her delivery was warm and intimate and received a round of applause from park goers at the end! Would highly recommend. -

As a non-traditionally aged couple (we are not in our 20s or 30s or 40s ) and planning a large traditional wedding celebration, during a worldwide pandemic, with all of the traditions including a traditional wedding dress, bridal party, and all, our vow writing time kept getting put to the side. We both struggled to hear and write out our own heartfelt feelings in the midst of all of the planning chaos. Tanya helped us reflect, write, and then commit to practice words that we now know will profoundly impact our marriage and carry lasting memories with our mates. I am deeply grateful for her many kindnesses shown to us and for being willing to tailor her services and support to our needs to get the “job done well.”
I have been married for three weeks and have already had my vows quoted back to me twice. LOL!

• “Your vows were amazing” many times.
• “You (Bride) were a very tough act to follow” several times. “I wasn’t sure how he (the Groom) could possibly follow, but he did. He absolutely held his own.”
• “Loved how in Sync both of your vows were”
• Long-time friends said how much our vows meant to them.

We were so lucky to have Tanya as the officiant for our Central Park micro-wedding! We wanted it to be short but also sweet and meaningful. Tanya is incredible. My husband and I are fairly comfortable speaking in public, but I have never done so with so much confidence as I did saying my vows in front of a small in-person audience and a large online audience for my wedding. The perfect ZOOM wedding during COVID times
Tanya helped us create a once in a lifetime memorable day in truly unprecedented times. Our overseas wedding has been postponed due to COVID so we wanted to at least perform the legal portion. With her vision, guidance, and creativity we ultimatley turned the legal ceremony into a ZOOM wedding with over 200 guests in attendance online. Tanya was very helpful to both my daughter and son-in-law. She gave them a lot of ideas to work with in creating their ceremony. It wasn’t easy during COVID-19, but, it all worked out beautifully with phone calls, and emails. Tanya was always available to talk by phone and quickly responded by email or text. We wound up having a smaller than planned wedding, which wound up being in our yard with immediate family. Tanya was awesome And patient with us through it all❣️ -

Tanya was a fantastic guide for me throughout the six weeks I developed my vows. Her questions inspired me and her feedback on my drafts enabled me to fully express my thoughts, feelings and my commitment to my wife in my own words. I was always behind schedule, but her consistent communication along the way really helped me to prioritize writing and to practice saying my vows. I get anxious about public speaking of any kind, but when the day came, I stood in front of my wife and our community and spoke with confidence. Tanya coached my son and his bride on their vows, both of whom are not comfortable being the center of attention. She was able to get them to communicate to each other in front of 140 people as if they were the only ones in the room, with grace and ease! Miracle worker! The tenderness and love was felt by all. Their confidence and contentment after the ceremony set the tone for the rest of the evening.
Tanya was amazingly dedicated and invested in the couple’s success. Highly recommended!
