Beautiful & Accommodating Wedding Venue
The Vinoy has historically been and is a leading hospitality organization in the St. Petersburg area. Thoroughly attentive, considerate of the customer, and willing to go a little past what is expected to make you feel like you are special to their establishment. Today this narrative still holds true. For our wedding they went out of their way to make sure we felt special. Knowing the construction was not in our ideal vision, they took measures and steps to go above and beyond the entire time we worked together. We worked with Katie Z. and later Adriana B. who were tremendously helpful in making our vision come true. Our guests were well taken care of, our families felt like honored guests, and we were able to enjoy our special day and the vision that we had because of their ability to execute it. We are so thankful to Adriana, Katie, and the entire team to the Vinoy waitstaff, bartenders, and valet personnel. Despite the construction, we felt extremely happy that we went with the Vinoy Hotel as our wedding location. Outstanding! Thank you, Chieu & Stephen 09/03/2022-

Dream Wedding!
I wish I could give the Vinoy 100 stars for their flexibility!!!! Planning a wedding in any year is stressful, but in 2020?!?! We had to switch ballrooms 3 months before our wedding date once our RSVP's started coming in and we were running into capacity issues. I can't thank Sheri Morgan from their team enough. She was an absolute dream come true in helping us navigate everything, going above and beyond for us with options and being so flexible in such a crazy year. I also have to very much thank Sean McGrath from their team, who ALSO went above and beyond for us with catering and logistics beforehand, day-of, and even day-after! Their team was so hands-on, professional, flexible and took care of SO much. We had an amazing, SAFE and fun wedding in 2020 and the Vinoy was a dream!-

St. Pete icon!
We love The Vinoy. A St. Pete icon for those who are locals and looking to get married in the beauty of the city. We got married after the renovations, and all the updates made it so modern, but still with that vintage Florida feel. If Megan is still on the events team, hire her! She was a blessing to work with throughout the entire process. -

We had our rehearsal dinner at The Vinoy on the Mezzanine Terrace, which is a beautiful covered terrace at the front of the hotel that overlooks the bay. When we first saw the space we knew it would be the perfect location for a dinner to welcome our families and bridal party to St Pete. Chris and Alex were very helpful throughout the planning process and always answered our questions quickly. We also were able to get a room block at the hotel for our guests, which was convenient since our wedding reception was nearby at the Birchwood. When we arrived to our rehearsal dinner, I could not believe how beautiful the terrace looked - the staff did a great job setting the space up. The food for our buffet dinner was great, especially the desserts! A lot of our guests told us it was the perfect way to kick off the weekend. Thank you to The Vinoy staff for giving us the perfect rehearsal dinner and memories that we will cherish forever! -

This was the perfect venue for my wedding. It's classy, elegant, and I knew it was the place. The staff is top notch. The event manager I worked with was always very responsive and willing to help. The attention to detail and personalization we received from the staff made the weekend amazing. From the time we viewed the venue, to signed a contract, to the wedding day, to even after the wedding with follow up the staff was a dream to work with. This place will always have a special place in my heart. Any couple would have an amazing experiences with this team! -

Jaleesa was our wedding coordinator, and she was fabulous. Incredibly responsive, super enthusiastic about making sure our day was perfect, and simply overall wonderful to work with. The venue is beautiful. It was the first one we looked at and we were immediately in love with it. We did learn during the months leading up to the wedding that parts of the resort were going to be under construction, BUT the Vinoy was fabulous about making sure that the construction did not interfere with the day's festivities. We highly recommend the Vinoy! -

I must admit, we got off to a bit of a rocky start due to our event manager leaving and not meeting our new one until a month before our wedding, but our new one, Jaleesa, was amazing and went above and beyond to make everything happen for us. The staff as a whole made us feel like we were the only wedding they had that weekend (there were 8-10! plus new year's parties!) and everyone was extremely accommodating to all of our needs. Stunning venue! -

We couldn't be happier with The Vinoy. We had the ceremony in the Tea Garden and the Reception in the Grand Ballroom. The only other decorations we had were the flowers. It was so beautiful we didn't need to add anything. The service was wonderful. All the staff members during the reception were so accommodating, the planners were receptive and worked with you on your vision, and the food was delicious. So happy! -

The Vinoy helped make the wedding of my dreams. We worked with Alexandra who was so professional and helpful in making our big day go perfectly. The food and cake were so delicious! They handled all the set up, and organized the vendors to make the day stress free for myself and my mom (my planner). The small details like a welcome platter in the hotel suite made us feel extra special. Our day was absolutely perfect, and we look forward to returning for our one year anniversary night! -

Our venue hunt started in spring 2015, and ended abruptly when we visited The Vinoy. The architecture was unique and gorgeous, the staff attention, and the location incredibly convenient to downtown St Petersburg. We worked with a wonderful team including Sarah Metcalfe, Vibeke Sansone, and Pam Daerr. They were attentive and accommodating to both foreseen and unplanned circumstances. Our wedding would not have been nearly as spectacular if it weren’t for Sarah’s hard work.
We were married in the tea garden, which had a magical, enchanted ambiance. It was exactly how we envisioned our ceremony, if not better! Our cocktail hour and reception were at the sunset ballroom, which was the most spectacular venue I’ve seen yet. We must have given Sarah over 20 boxes of props and décor for the room, which she set up perfectly. Our memorabilia table, candy bar, seating arrangements table, photo booth, gift table, dessert bar, and most importantly: bacon bar, added so much to our special night. I cannot tell you the number of compliments we received on the additives, band, lighting, chairs, décor, etc…
The Vinoy had the BEST food and cake we’ve seen or experienced at any wedding. Guests have still been reaching out to me to ask for tips for their weddings. It was THAT good. They even accommodated a number of food allergies, including my own. I am counting down the days until I receive the photos and video from that night. I wish I could do it all over again…and again!
I cannot thank The Vinoy and Sarah enough! You are in safe hands if you choose them for your big day.

It takes about a year in advance to book your event and I suggest you book them as early as possible, because after our wedding, I understand why they are so popular. We actually booked 18 months in advance and there was another wedding planned that weekend! The location of the Vinoy to downtown St. Pete is the perfect place to have a wedding without having to worry about entertaining your guests. There are enough shops and restaurants to entertain everyone. At the hotel, the staff were very helpful, professional AND responsive to everything we needed no matter how last minute. We had a block of rooms reserved and they had an easy to use website for our guests to reserve their rooms. it worked perfectly. They worked really well with Jessica Ralph, our wedding planner, and allowed her the space and manpower to do what her team and other vendors needed to do to prepare our venue. We had an amazing time at the Vinoy, and they did everything they could to make it a special time for us. I highly recommend them for any event. -

I can't say enough about the Vinoy. Everything we experienced at the Vinoy was perfect. Our wedding events went off without a problem, the food was exquisite, and the staff was wonderful as well. This is a beautiful historic building with a cobblestone street out front. It's the perfect mix of amenities and location and a great location for a fairy tale Wedding! -

My wedding day was the best day of my life and I can thank the wonderful setting and staff and the Vinoy for it.They made Living out of state and planning a wedding so very easy. My wedding at the Vinoy was literally a dream come true. I had always thought a Vinoy wedding would be gorgeous and it ended up being exactly what my fiance and I wanted. From start to finish it was such a fabulous experience. Our tasting was unbelievable and was my favorite part of the planning process. The catering staff was fantastic and worked with us on creating a special fall inspired menu. The food on the day of the wedding was incredible and all of our guests commented on how delicious everything was. Alex was so professional and helpful throughout the entire experience. Being in the event business myself, I had a hard time letting go of control, but come the weekend of the wedding, I felt comfortable having Alex take over. The attention to detail was fabulous. The quality of service provided to us during the reception was top notch. I so appreciate the Vinoy's flexibility to provide us with the experience we wanted for our guests and for ourselves for the wedding weekend. I want to do it all over again! The Vinoy team was fantastic to work with and the setting was fabulous. The hotel comes with so much history and is just beautiful. We received so many compliments on the food and the hospitality of the hotel staff. Many of our guests noted that it was the best food they'd had. We were incredibly impressed with how welcome the team made us feel. Our wedding planner from the Vinoy made every detail and wish we had become reality. We are so happy and pleased with the outcome of the event and would recommend the Vinoy to any couple looking for an amazing wedding day!! -

My wedding at the Vinoy was magically and AMAZING!!!!! I would def recommend getting married at the Vinoy.....we had our reception in The Grand Ballroom and our Ceremony in the Tea Garden. The Vinoy was the perfect place for our wedding! I am beyond happy I chose this venue. The resort and ballroom are gorgeous and we were treated like gold from the second we started looking there. Stephanie Petitta and Sarah Metcalfe went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect leading up to the big day, and the actual day was flawless. Everyone raved about the food and cake, and the service staff was wonderful too.
They were easy to work with and were accommodating for any request I had.
All of my guests were also pleased with "how nice everyone was" around the entire resort. The Vinoy holds a special place with us and I would HIGHLY recommend this venue to anyone... -

We couldn't be happier with the Vinoy. The staff is extremely kind and professional. They assign a staff member to tend to the bride and groom as well throughout the night. This help us eliminate our wait time for drink, food, etc., and helped us maximize the time we spend with guests. Also, only one wedding takes place at a time, so we avoided potential wedding crashers or having two brides in the same area. -

We visited many, many venues before deciding on the Vinoy. We ultimately choose the Vinoy, because they were the most flexible, so that we could have our wedding completely customized. The Vinoy provides a day of coordinator. This was another feature that encouraged us to select the Vinoy. My wife travels for work and most of our family still lives in the Midwest. Having a day of coordinator helped us avoid hiring a wedding planner. I would highly recommend the Vinoy for a highly customizable, worry-free wedding. -

The Vinoy was absolutely amazing! Everyone that works there was extremely accommodating! Our coordinator, Katie Edwards, was great to work with. We were treated like royalty from the moment that we pulled up in front of the Vinoy. The valets, bellhops, navigators, and the entire staff are professional, welcoming and attentive. Our accommodations (our guests occupied 60 rooms during our wedding weekend!) were comfortable, clean and beautiful, and we enjoyed many hours at the pool and restaurants. Our large suite was perfect for my new husband and I, and large enough for the bridesmaids to get ready before our wedding. We'd especially like to thank Katie Edwards and Rosetta Krizansky for ensuring that our friends and family were well cared for. Katie worked closely with us (we exchanged regular emails, and she even returned emails during her time away) and did everything in her power to make our wedding weekend fantastic - she even surprised us with champaign and strawberries on our wedding night! Rosetta helped us create a fabulous dessert and cocktail party for all of our guests the night before our wedding at Marchand's Bar and Grill. Our stay could not have been any better, and we're looking forward to returning to the Vinoy soon! -

We could not have asked for a more perfect, fairy tale venue to hold out "Old Hollywood Style" wedding than the Vinoy! We got married in the gorgeous Tea Garden and the reception was in the Grand Ballroom, and it was even more than I had ever dreamed of! Stephanie and her team were awesome, and Tim was the most patient and caring man I've ever dealt with! Thank you both so much for making our day so magical.
The food was perfect, the ceremony was perfect, and the cocktail hour and reception were perfect! We would both recommend The Vinoy to anyone looking to hold a fairy tale wedding! They will go above and beyond to make all your wedding dreams come true!

We had our wedding reception at the Sunset Ballroom. Stephanie was our event manager and did a great job putting everything together. As we had questions leading up to our wedding, she would return our phone call almost always on the same day.
The food tasting was great, and we were able to modify the menu slightly to our liking. We were even able to add some food that wasn't on the tasting menu. Our guests absolutely loved our menu and we'd didn't hear any complaints about the food. It came out hot and they met our guests dietary restrictions. They also had food reserved for us and our bridal party in a separate room during the cocktail hour and provided us with drinks immediately.
The cake was delicious and we were able to build the tiers how we envisioned them. We were able to combine several different frostings and fillings as well as cake flavors. We showed them ideas we had found on Pintrest and the cake was beautiful! They are very receptive to your ideas.
We had chocolate covered strawberries and champagne in our room after the reception.

Stephanie Petitta and Sarah Metcalfe were the dream team at the Vinoy Resort! Our wedding service was perfect from the moment our guests booked their rooms through leaving on Sunday. The Vinoy provides first class service to make your guests feel taken care of during their stay.
Sarah went above and beyond to assist with the wedding room block. She was helpful with all of our requests and the numerous additional rooms we needed to reserve. The week of the wedding, she was extremely helpful with coordinating storage of all the wedding items and ensuring our rooms were ready to go.
Our guests loved the Vinoy's food and beverage options! Stephanie and her team were organized and efficient with the dinner service, allowing us to maximize our time on the dance floor. The guests loved the entrees, appetizers, macaroni bar (highest amount of comments!), delicious wedding cake, and late night pizza bar. Stephanie and her team worked with us to ensure the food perfectly reflected our personalities.
I would highly recommend the Vinoy Resort for a wedding weekend. They really think of everything! -

I could not have picked a better venue for my wedding. Katie Edwards was my event manager at the Vinoy and she was absolutely amazing. I was out of town during the planning of my wedding, and Katie made it very easy to plan from a distance. Everything flowed seamlessly; this is a very well orchestrated team. Katie was also in contact with all of my vendors, so I didn’t have to worry about a thing on my wedding day. The grounds are also gorgeous (ceremony in Tea Garden and reception at the Sunset Ballroom). The pricing is based per head and includes everything (ie dinner, cake, drink, toast etc), but you can work with them to get EXACTLY what you want regardless. The food was phenomenal and the cake blew my mind. As soon as I saw the Sunset Ballroom of the Vinoy, I knew I had found my venue. I wanted an outdoor ceremony, a terrace cocktail hour, and an indoor reception with a view. It was perfect! The service was top notch. We worked with Stephanie Pettita and her assistant, Stephanie. They were both amazing and always got back to me no matter how many emails and questions I sent them. The wedding went off without a hitch. It was everything I imagined and more. Absolutely stunning. Stephanie was there from start to finish and made sure everything ran smoothly. She was a gem. Our cake was beautifully done with hand made sugar peonies cascading down the front. They captured my vision perfectly. The food was great. Everyone loved it. I couldn't stop eating the gnocchi with pancetta. Delicious! It really was the best day ever. If you book your wedding here, you will be taken care of from start to end and will be treated like royalty. Highly recommend -

Stephanie and her team at the Vinoy did an amazing job to make our wedding reception was absolutely spectacular. She was available for communication leading up to the wedding when we had any questions, and made sure everything ran smoothly the night of the reception. The ballroom is gorgeous by itself, but their team did a great job providing excellent service, delicious food, and the pastry chef designed a custom cake based on a photo that I had provided to him that turned out absolutely beautiful, and tasted delicious as well! I highly recommend the Vinoy and their team - they did an excellent job and helped to make my day absolutely perfect! Thank you! -

If I could give this venue a 100/10 I would. Having our wedding at The Vinoy was an absolute dream come true. Not only was the hotel gorgeous in a perfect location, but the staff continuously goes above and beyond for you. Our Sales Manager was Jennifer Links, and from the beginning I knew that if we chose this location we would be taken care of. She made the contract process such a breeze and her coordinator Sarah Metcalfe was amazing in always responding to me right away with whatever question I might have. Our Event Manager was Katie Edwards and I could go on and on about how incredible she was. She handled every detail with a smile and went way above and beyond to make sure our day was everything we wanted and more. She was so warm and really made us and our bridal party feel at ease. She truly anticipated our needs and had what we working asking for before we even asked! During the reception our Banquet Managers Sean and Rhonda ensured that we had everything we needed and didn't let us lift a finger. We loved working with The Vinoy staff and would highly suggest them to any couple looking for a unique historic venue with the most hospitable staff in town. Thank you Vinoy! -

We recently had our wedding at The Vinoy and found it to be so wonderful and beautiful. All the coordinators that worked with us were exceptional and everyone at the hotel made us feel welcome and so special. Our family came in early to spend some time with us and the hotel was such an awesome place to relax.
The front porch under the fans with drinks made family conversations so warm and inviting. Dinners in Marchands and drinks in the outside bar areas made our evenings glamourous and fun. We love the Vinoy and spend time there whenever we can...but they out did themselves for our wedding! Great Job! -

The Vinoy was a dream come true. We really feel there is no comparison with any other venue in the Tampa Bay area. Our guests from around the country were amazed by every aspect of the Vinoy beginning with the staff. The staff was so friendly and willing to bend over backwards to make our weekend special. We were greeted by name by everyone from the friendly bell captain to the most outstanding banquet captain Rhonda. Our wedding coordinator was Tammy Mendoza and she was with us every step of the way-always pleasant and willing to answer our many questions. When Tammy took a new position within Marriott and was transitioning she always returned my call even when it was late into the evening. The reception in the Grand Ballroom with the incredible Chihuly chandelier is so breathtaking and beautiful-it almost felt surreal in that it was so gorgeous. Anything and everything we asked for was done. When I read reviews and they mention the price it may seem a bit higher than other venues initially however we found it a solid value because you are getting outstanding quality......the food was wonderful! I had two hot buttons that I addressed with Tammy; we wanted to be sure the food was served hot and that there was not a long lag in service so the evening would move along-the Vinoy scored a perfect 10. Every guest raved about the delicious special dinner where the melt in your mouth fliet was served a perfect medium rare and the sea bass was exquisite. The wedding cake was outstanding as well and the cost is included. The bartenders poured great drinks all evening long. I am still hearing from guests raving about the appetizers; favorites were the mini crab cakes and the gorgonzola figs in puff pastry. The Renaissance Vinoy exceeded our expectations in every way and they ensured our wedding was magical and memorable. It is the best decision we could have made! -

The Vinoy was the perfect venue. The Tea Garden was the perfect setting for the ceremony and the Sunset Ballroom was magical. Everyone that works there are very responsive and professional. The food and cake was outstanding. The service was outstanding. Since most of our guests stayed at the Vinoy, Beach Drive was perfect for them to walk around and see St Pete' beautiful waterfront. -

We got off to a shaky start with our event coordinator but she totally redeemed herself by providing us with a WONDERFUL reception venue at The Vinoy Golf Club, Sunset Ballroom. She and her staff were attentive on the Wedding Day and anticipated our every need! We were 100% satisfied with the venue and with The Vinoy! We did pay extra to close the swimming pool as our cocktail hour was poolside and we wanted to have the area to ourselves. I recommend others do the same. The Vinoy coordinated everything with the florist, the DJ, the photographer and the Photo Booth, as well as the OUTSTANDING food, so that we didn't have to worry about anything. The food and the wedding cakes were out of this world--all the guests were raving! Our reception could not have been nicer. -

This is a very special wedding venue and I couldn't be happier that I had my wedding here. First, our wedding coordinator at the Vinoy, Tammy, was very helpful at every step along the way. She was very professional and got things done quickly and efficiently. She was very responsive to emails and calls leading up to the wedding, which was reassuring, since I did not live in St. Petersburg. We had our ceremony in the Tea Garden, which provided a beautiful setting and beautiful pictures. We had the reception at the Sunset Ballroom which is a very unqiue style ballroom and I got so many compliments on the venue. Although the packages do appear pricy, for all they include, it is very much worth it, and you could spend much more at a venue that did not include everything that the Vinoy does (Cake, cocktail reception, full bar, etc). I recommend the Vinoy very highly! -

It was THE most AMAZING place to have our wedding and reception!!! The Vinoy was everything we wanted... and more!! Tammy and her team were so GREAT to work with... they 'bent over backwards' to make our day everything we wanted!! Everyone was professional... they always followed through and were always easy to get a hold of (which speaks volumes when planning a wedding!!). We stayed at the Vinoy as well as had our Ceremony and Reception there. And i couldnt sing their praises enough, you wouldnt believe the treatment we had and our family joked that my husband and i were princess kate and will because no matter where we went we were asked if we needed anything or how or day was, the valet guys counted down to our wedding and we had a great experience we had so many special touches including chocolate covered strawberries, and an amazing wedding suite. You will not be dissapointed with the Vinoy, although it may cost more it is such a beautiful location that you wont be dissapointed. Tammy Mendoza was wonderful, she truly became a part of our family and was there for every aspect of the wedding. They are so detailed and they will reassure that your day will be great. You will feel like aprincess. Tim, Clint, Mark and the rest of the vinoy staff will make sure your have your fairytale day! THe staff was amazing and even went and got my nephew sunglasses one day at the pool because he forgot his, its just an example of what they will do for their guests! Book your wedding there now, or at least stay for a few days you wont regret it! -

The venue was absolutely amazing. If you are having a wedding in a hotel then this hotel is a must. The taxes and gratuity add up, but all hotels are the same in that respect and I am so happy we went with the Vinoy. My wedding was perfect. I could not have asked for more. The staff was great, especially as it got close to my wedding date. Just make sure you negotiate upfront and get it in writing b/c the salesperson and then the catering person you deal with are completely different. I loved the big ballroom and the tea garden. The food was amazing and we got so many compliments on our wedding being one of the most elegant, best weddings our guests have been at. Only complaint we got was that the cake cutting was too late and some people left early without getting cake. only issue I had was the waiter assigned to us didn't get me a drink when I asked so our best man took care of me all night. I was dancing and running around a lot though so who knows. AND I would have loved to have a to go box of food in my room that night. the food was so good and I was too excited to eat much! The sliders and mac n cheese station got amazing reviews from guests! I thought the day was perfect! -

I cannot say enough great things about the Vinoy. The quality of service by my coordinator (Stacey) was fantastic. The Vinoy has everything you need in one location - this was so helpful because it allowed me to not chase around little details in all different places.
The staff was very polite and helpful, the room was beautiful, and the food was delicious. It says allot when you consider that the Vinoy was chosen by our state governor to host his own wedding!

The Vinoy hotel is the classiest and most elegant venue to hold a wedding at in West Coast Florida, hands down. We had a wonderful experience there, and all the staff were fabulous to work with. They really work hard to make your wedding as perfect as possible. The food was delicious and the overall atmosphere just can't be beat. Our ceremony was in the foyer of the grand ballroom, and our reception was in the ballroom itself. Both locations were beautiful. Cocktail hour was out on the Mezzanine terrace, which was great for the guests. Most of our guests stayed at the hotel overnight, as did we. The rooms are gorgeous, with views of the Bay. I would highly recommend the Vinoy as a ceremony and reception venue. -

The Vinoy is one of the most beautiful historic resorts I have ever seen. The interiors are gorgeous and the setting on the waterfront in St. Pete is beautiful. Of course, the service and food were outstanding. If you can afford to pay a bit more, it's definitely worth it. -

My husband spent our wedding night here. It is an elegant beautiful place. Walking up the stairs and into the building I felt like a princess. We only stayed for the night, however, they also have wonderful spa services and a beautiful pool if you choose to stay longer. -

The Vinoy and the event staff (Alex and Chris) made all my wedding dreams come true this past December! From the moment we saw it, we knew it was the perfect venue. The hotel itself is absolutely stunning inside and out and has such a historical old Florida/tropical vibe which is exactly what we were going for since many of our guests were from out of town. We got married in the stunning tea garden and had our cocktail hour and reception at the Vinoy Golf Club Sunset ballroom. There were so many incredible places to take photos it was hard to choose where to take them! What we loved most about the VInoy, besides how beautiful it is, is that each of the events were located in one location and it was right in downtown St Pete so guests had plenty to do. What we didn't expect to love so much was the event staff that came to assist in planning the wedding. Chris Starman and Alex Landry went above and beyond in every single sense to make everything perfect. They worked so hard and had every single detail covered including going beyond their scope of work to make sure everything went smoothly. (Chris literally jumped into the fountain in his suit in 40 degree weather when my garland fell into the fountain!) I am so grateful for both of them and don't know what I would have done without them! Although, we went out of our budget for the VInoy, we truly believe it was worth every single penny. Between the impressive wait staff, beautiful settings, Alex +Chris, amazing food & cake and the ease of having everything included in one price it was a good value. I had no worries going into the wedding day because the VInoy is so professional at doing events and that is priceless!-

Always Working to Make Our Day Special
I was married at the Vinoy on 12/31/21 after postponing a year due to Covid from our original date of 12/31/20. While many things did not go perfectly, I am giving the Vinoy 5 stars because when things did not go according to plan, they were extremely accommodating and did everything they could to make our day special under the circumstances. First off, when the coronavirus pandemic first hit back in March 2020 (we'd already booked for Dec 2020), the Vinoy gave us six months to decide to cancel or postpone our wedding with no penalty. Then, in spring 2021, when it came time to really start planning for our rescheduled date, we found out that the hotel was planning massive renovations. Ultimately, much of the construction ended up being delayed until after our wedding date, however, it did impact our room block and how many guests might or might not be able to stay at the hotel. Jennifer and Danielle on the Sales team were extremely helpful, adding guests to our room block piecemeal, as rooms opened up. The pandemic caused a lot of turnover in the Vinoy's event staff: By August 2021 we were on our fourth coordinator (Rainee). This was frustrating, as we'd already discussed and decided much with previous coordinators, and Rainee's newness to the team meant she was learning as we planned, but she stepped up right away to make sure that every special request that we had, she was able to figure out for us, helping us incorporate some very special touches, like espresso martini shots and cold sparklers for our midnight moment. When the omicron spike happened just two weeks before our wedding and guests began cancelling last minute, Rainee and her boss, Adriana, worked with us to accommodate our lower guest count with our contracted minimum. They were extremely empathetic and helpful throughout our entire planning process, but especially in those last extra-stressful moments. At the end of the day, my husband and I loved our ceremony in the tea garden, which was beautiful and intimate, and our reception at the Sunset Ballroom. The room was the perfect modern, chic background for our vision. We loved the indoor-outdoor factor with the courtyard and the fact that it offers privacy from the hotel guests and members. Bottom line: I grew up a Vinoy member and dreamed of getting married at the Vinoy since I was 10; while not everything went as I'd pictured, it was a wonderful, special day, and much of that was because of the service provided the Vinoy, especially Jennifer, Danielle, Rainee, and Adriana. -

The phrase goes: you get what you pay for! Understated elegance and class is what we desired/invisioned and that's exactly what we got on our wedding day. We recently got married in the tea garden at the beautiful Vinoy, and had the reception in the gorgeous Grande Ballroom. My mother and I worked with Stephanie Petitta and Sarah Metcalf as our event managers. Stephanie was incredibly knowledgable, calm, and knew how to educate us delicately. Sarah was helpful as she assisted answering emails about room block information, contracts, pricing, etc. Stephanie works hard and has extremely high expectations - once we communicated more thoroughly our perfect visions, Stephanie was able to deliver an incredible wedding experience. The cakes were constructed by Chef Michael and were absolutely fabulous - he brought our pictures and crazy traditions (we actually drew together) to life in our cakes! The food was perfect - we had passed appetizers (4- pineapple shrimp, beef medallion, baked chicken, chicken quesadilla) which were SO delicious - my guests raved about them! Dinner was buffet style (highly recommend this) with chicken, salmon and filet mignon - we even did a late night snack of BBQ sliders which the guests LOVED! Overall our experience was incredible - trust the team - they will take care of things and get it done! Great job Stephanie and team - we loved it all! -

We hosted at 180 person wedding inthe Tea Garden and the Grand Ballroom of the Vinoy, and it was an exceptional experience. The hotel provides a team of professionals to help organize the day, and we had a relaxing and enjoyable wedding thanks to their level of expertise. We worked with Erika Hill, as our catering manager, and she was always available to answer questions or come up with clever solutions to budget and decor questions. Erika is really wonderful at what she does, and her years of experience will be of benefit to any bridal party. Everyone commented on the delicious food, and the Vinoy even made a special salad from my own recipe as part of our dinner offering. We had a wonderful time at the tasting, and even met all the chefs involved in the wedding, and we had no worries at all about food. It was delicious.
The entire staff really makes the bride and groom feel welcome and special, and we felt like everyone knew us by name by the end of the weekend from the concierge to the reception staff to the valets.
The evening went off without a hitch, and the team at the Vinoy makes throwing a grand wedding seem easy. A huge thanks to the entire staff for making it a weekend to remember! -

Really good experience. Alex, our coordinator, made sure everything was flawless. We had some issues day of with getting a room for me to get dressed in, but they were able to resolve it in the end. The hotel and golf club are both so beautiful, you can’t go wrong if you book in either venue! -

The Vinoy exceeded my expectations for our wedding! It is always a little nerve wracking when the vast majority of your family and friends are coming in from out of town AND were mostly staying at the Vinoy, but they were all raving about how beautiful the facilities were and how courteous the staff was the entire weekend. Yes, the price was steep for the Grand Ballroom, but it made an impression with our family and friends to the point where several asked about condos around the area and talked about coming back there for a future vacation. That's the best compliment you can get!! I would recommend having a wedding coordinator in addition to the Vinoy's coordinator, and read your paperwork carefully. There were a couple of big misses in our final writeups that I had to change at the last-ish minute. There were also times where our Vinoy coordinator was not particularly responsive. However, she more than made up for it the weekend of the wedding. She was at our rehearsal, entire wedding day, and the day after brunch and mingled with our families, asked us what we needed...she was wonderful. I'd gladly take some slower response e-mails for making our families feel special the entire weekend. But, again, I would recommend at least an additional day-of coordinator to make sure all details are taken care of and you can enjoy yourself as much as possible! -

I cannot give enough thanks to our coordinator at the Vinoy, Erika. She made sure everything was perfect, and kept our wedding planner in line They upgraded the bridal suite for us at no charge, sent bottles of champagne to my room, and just kept us happy!
The food was phenomenal! We were hearing raves about it all night!! The cocktail hour food was also delicious! The whole planning process was made easy with their help. We also had a buffet breakfast the next morning for our guests. Again, the food was outstanding!
When it was brought to our attention that a CHRISTMAS TREE was in the ballroom from a previous party, it was removed immediately, no problem! (This was a ½ Jewish wedding, I am sure you can see the problem here!)
There really were no big problems, or small problems! Grade: A+++

The Vinoy was an amazing venue for many reasons. First, the impeccable quality of the food made it our first choice along with the atmosphere and feel of the historic hotel and its recent renovations. Also, Tammy Mendoza was easy to work with and bent over backwards to accommodate our requests. She was honest and upfront about the cost of add-ons or additional services/room requests etc. I realize now that the most of the interaction with vendors was before the wedding and she knocked it out of the park. During the tasting, my fiancé was unable to go because he just started a new job so she asked the staff to box him a meal to try the food so that he was part of the tasting even if it was at home. Especially today, it means so much to receive quality service. The chef and pastry chef also came in to the tasting to explain the food and cake ---very professional : they listened to our requests-- I wanted goat cheese instead of blue cheese on the salad ...and it was done. The day of the wedding everything ran smoothly. This venue is on the pricier side; however, for the quality, convenience, and level of service it was well worth it. I can't wait to go back for our anniversary. -

Our Dream Wedding Come True!
Everyone always tells you that something will go wrong on your wedding day and to be prepared to just roll with it. Our wedding at the Vinoy went off completely without a hitch and was by far the best wedding we’ve ever been to (good thing it was our own!). This is a testament to our amazing event coordinator, Megan, as well as the entire service staff. With the Vinoy, you definitely get what you pay for: a gorgeous setting amongst a fun downtown with plenty of entertainment for your guests, delicious food and cake, attentive service, and a beautiful hotel for your honeymoon suite. We had our ceremony in the Tea Garden and our reception in the Sunset Ballroom (1.5 miles from the hotel, at the Vinoy’s Snell Island golf course). I was sad at first that we couldn’t justify the Grand Ballroom, which would have been perfect if we were having a much larger wedding or a limitless budget, but I have no regrets now. If you go with the Sunset Ballroom, transportation is easy and your guests will love the outdoor space for cocktail hour and a break from dancing. My tip for couples getting married: Whichever reception location you pick will come with a minimum cost for food/beverage. Try to plan so your guest count + food/bev choices come in just under that minimum so you can add UPGRADES! We were able to upgrade to the top tier bar PLUS we added chicken & waffle poppers, which were a huge hit after a couple hours of dancing! We’ve loved the Vinoy for the past few years and now it will mean so much more to us when we come back to visit in the years to come.-

I will start off by saying that this place is not cheap and we had to adjust our budget accordingly to have our dream wedding there. With that said, it was worth every penny! The place is amazing, full of history and charm. The grand ballroom with the Chihuly chandelier is breathtaking and besides uplighting it really didn't need much additional decorating. The staff (with the exception which I will mention in a bit) makes you feel extremely special. During our food tasting we couldn't decide on the type of steak we wanted and the chef actually had a short rib made on the spot, although it wasn't even on our menu selection, because he thought it would fit our menu best. He was right, because that is the meat we chose for our entree. Also, we really wanted to have fried mac'n'cheese to go with our late night slider station, and although the chef has never made that before, he agreed without hesitation, and it was a hit. Rhonda, the banquet manager the night of our wedding was absolutely FABULOUS! She truly made us feel like royalty, and even took care of a wedding crasher by ensuring they got trespassed from the resort. From the food to having our own server during the wedding, and everything in between, it was truly amazing. The only reason why I did not give 5 starts was because Stephanie, the event coordinator, did not live up to the service and standard the rest of the Vinoy staff provided. It took her a very long time to respond to my emails (weeks at a time) and it seemed that every request we made was a burden to her. She actually lead us to believe that we had the ballroom the whole morning of the wedding to have our vendors come in and set up, only to find out 2 days before the event that we only had 3 hours! Good thing I had a personal wedding coordinator, because I would not trust her with ensuring my event went smoothly. With that said, outside of Stephanie, we loved the venue, staff, and service, and would highly recommend the Vinoy for your wedding. -

After having a destination wedding in Cabo San Lucas, we wanted to have a party for our family and friends. We had a very specific idea of what we wanted: relaxed, colorful, outside, must have a great view, and live music. When we went to the Vinoy to discuss this, we fell in love with the idea of having our reception on the mezzanine terrace overlooking downtown St. Pete. Stephanie and her team did everything we asked and made the weeks leading up to and the day of our party easy, fun, and perfect. THe food was great, bartenders excellent, and they even recommended a guitarist who really brought life to our party. The day was perfect. -

This venue is on the higher price point range, but it was SO worth it. The Vinoy was an absolutely gorgeous venue. Everyone was so impressed with the quality of service from the people involved throughout the entire night. The minute my husband and I arrived, they had a room for the wedding party with food and drinks so we could rest a little before entering the reception. They also had my husband and I's drink of choice ready for us when we got there. The attention to detail was not lost on me.
Aesthetically, the Grand Ballroom is magnificent on its own and needed very little to make it perfect for the reception. Additionally, it was incredibly convenient because they go ahead and do the food, cake, and include a wedding manager for the night of as well as a free night stay for my husband and I on our one year anniversary. We also got to stay in the presidential suite (which was incredible) that night as part of our package.
Everyone was raving about the food and our tasting to pick the food out was also very professional and thorough. I would recommend this to every and any bride looking for a venue in St. Pete. In the end, the cost for this venue including food, open bar, cake, hotel rooms, etc... came out to about the same of doing it at the smaller venues we looked at. -

The Vinoy is a beautiful location and definitely one of a kind. We loved the venue, but it was a little on the pricier side. However, we absolutely loved our wedding and Quinn was amazing. If you get married at the Vinoy, ask for Quinn. She is outstanding. -

The Vinoy is such a class act. Our wedding day was FLAWLESS on their end. Everything was perfect down to the last place card. The service was beyond exceptional and our guests felt like they were treated to a truly high class, unforgetable weekend. The price was high, but worth every dime. The location is perfect and gorgeous. We felt like we were the only guests in the hotel the entire weekend. A++++ -

Stephanie V. was awesome! She was out some during the intial planning stages so I had to deal with another person in the event planning office and I wasn't as pleased with her work. I was so glad when Stephanie returned as she was super helpful, very flexible and handled everything perfectly the day of the wedding. I could not have done it without her and she did most of it without needing much from me (which was nice). The prices at the Vinoy are high and I did have to work with them to bring it into my budget range, but they did work hard to do that. Even though it was still pricy, it was worth it! The food was awesome and many guest (including my parents) thought it was the best meal they had in a very long time. The hotel rooms were also very nice! Although, I would recommend using expedia to find a better rate. I wouldn't change anything about my wedding as it truly was perfect! I definitely recommend using the Vinoy- just be ready to spend some money :) -

Beautiful wedding
The catering team was very nice however we did have issues with response time. Overall, the wedding was beautiful thanks to all the hard work put into it by all our vendors. If you decide to go with this venue be prepared to rent everything from chairs, linens, lighting, silverware, and so much more. The options provided by the venue are not very elegant.

Painstaking process, can be worth it
The Vinoy is a Tampa Bay icon. A literal historic site. Absolutely stunning. We were so excited to have our wedding in the Grand Ballroom! However we did not have the greatest planning experience. Megan Noldan was our contact there in the events department. While our wedding was beautiful, Communication for the 13 months leading up to our big day was the most painstaking process of wedding planning. Don’t get us wrong, we LOVED the Vinoy as did our 400 guests. The food was DELICIOUS. The packages were accommodating to our plans but it took a significant amount of time and discussion to get things settled out between us and our planner reading over every word to ensure it was what we had agreed upon. As for the cake in the package, we were told our super simple cake idea (plain white icing cut down the middle for florals) was too much and would be significantly extra and we ended up having to find an outside vendor. We were guaranteed certain things before signing then once we signed so many things changed including the number of people we could have and which ballroom we could use (we had to rent our own chairs and tables to make it work in the grand ballroom). We have had payment issues that just got resolved a few days ago nearly two months after our wedding. The Vinoy is beautiful and the food is amazing. The process to get those things, however, is difficult. -

To begin with, I'd like to say that even though our experience at the Vinoy was not perfect, the staff in the Event Management department has worked to make things right with us and I do believe that they have taken our issues to heart. The Vinoy is without-a-doubt one of the most gorgeous venues in the Tampa Bay area. I was delighted to be a Vinoy bride. Our actual wedding and reception was incredible - I have been told by many people that it was the best wedding they've ever attended and have heard SEVERAL wonderful compliments on the food and the bar especially. We had some trouble with our event planner - she wasn't very timely and she let quite a few behind-the-scenes details slip through the cracks. It caused a bit of frustration and confusion on our day. As I mentioned, though, the Director of Events at the Vinoy has really gone above and beyond to make things right for us. My recommendation would be to be very detail oriented and to stay on top of all of the pieces of your day to make sure that everything is being executed in the way you plan. -

Sales Experienced Based on How Much Money They Think You'll Spend
Disclaimer: I did not have my wedding at the Vinoy. This is a review for the sales experience only. Don’t bother looking here if you aren’t having a 150+ wedding. Your treatment by the sales team is based on how much money they think you’ll be spending. After touring the event spaces with my intended date of NYE 2020 for 75 people with a sales member, including not one, but two ceremony locations, I was told the next day they “did not have a ceremony space/time to offer for New Year’s Eve at this time”. With the “not at this time” added to that statement it’s pretty clear they are holding the spaces for a larger wedding’s ceremony and willing to lose my business over it. After push back they offered a 3pm ceremony time which is ridiculous for a NYE wedding. I was also told I could look at the sunset ballroom on the golf course portion of the resort on my own and was disappointed a member of the sales team couldn’t be bothered taking me there. Unfortunately the Vinoy was on the top of our list because we love to stay there multiple times a year but sadly won’t be having my wedding there due to their shady and snobby behavior. Go to the Don CeSar if you want a historic hotel in St. Pete where you’ll be treated as a person and not a dollar sign.The Vinoy Resort & Golf Club, Autograph Collection's reply:
