The Vine Shakers were absolutely incredible and made our wedding unforgettable! So many of our guests said it was the most fun wedding they had ever been to—and we couldn’t agree more. They kept everyone on the dance floor the entire night and created such an electric, joyful energy. They even learned a Pink Floyd song that was really special to me and my dad, which meant the world to us. On top of their talent, Ryan and the band were just such kind, wonderful people to work with. I can’t recommend them enough—they’re the best. -

We hired The Vine Shakers for my June 2024 wedding in Vermont, and from the start, Joanne and Ryan were a joy to work with. I spoke with a lot of bands before landing on them, and I ultimately chose them because they felt like more than just a cookie-cutter wedding band. They seemed authentic — talented musicians who have played together for years and are passionate about what they do.
Well, I chose right. Our dance floor was packed all night, and we received so many compliments about them, including requests for their info for other weddings. What I loved the most was how personable they were throughout the whole event — listening to speeches, making funny jokes and connections between songs, offering me a tambourine to shake, and even signing my guest book!
Our venue coordinator said they did the best version of the hora she had seen in her eight years of experience. They also accommodated all our requests — learning new songs for us, singing our first dances live, and even doing a second line (a tradition from New Orleans).
They were communicative throughout the entire planning experience, helping me figure out venue-specific sound issues, making last-minute changes to my ceremony music, addressing any concerns, and offering great suggestions. They never hesitated to connect on a call or video chat!
And back to the talent — AMAZING voices! We also wanted a horn section, and WOW, it made a huge difference! Plus, they know so many different songs that we honestly had TOO many to choose from. Please do not hesitate to book this band. They are the real deal. They made my wedding so fun and special, and I’ll be forever grateful to them.

Months later our wedding guests are still talking about how incredible our band was! Ryan and Joanne did an amazing job interpreting our vision for the whole event, from sourcing and managing ceremony strings, to learning songs for our special dances, and (most importantly) keeping the dance floor packed all night with fun songs that didn't make it feel like any other wedding. We are so glad we opted to include horns; the trumpeter was absolutely phenomenal. Despite being nervous about originally booking the Vine Shakers sight unseen we couldn't be happier! -

We used the Vineshakers for our wedding on Martha's Vineyard and they were fantastic. They were incredibly easy to communicate with throughout the planning process, amenable to our requests and absolutely rocked our wedding reception. For our ceremony we used a solo guitarist from the group who also sang during the processionals which provided a really nice touch. For the reception we would highly recommend the 10 piece band; the energy was really palpable. The band read the room of the reception incredibly well and multiple older guests remarked on the familiarity of the songs they played. We cannot recommend The Vineshakers enough!!! -

Title says it all! They played at our wedding this summer and our guests danced the entire night. Amazing voices, amazing selection of songs and just great people all around I cannot say enough good things. -

The Vine Shakers were absolutely incredible for our wedding. They were incredibly kind and flexible during our planning process, and they absolutely rocked the house, even though we had a small wedding. We had the best time, and they kept everyone dancing the whole night. They were so kind and we really can't thank them enough. I'm going to have to have another party just so we can have them play for us again! -

The Vineshakers were the cornerstone of our wedding - so many guests complimented us on them. I had multiple people come to me the day after to tell me that they had never been to a wedding where so many people were dancing for so long. The Vineshakers kept everyone on their feet (but still gave breaks for people to eat, drink, and refuel between sets). We could not have had the amazing wedding that we did without them! Would not hesitate to hire them again and again. -

From the moment I came in contact with The Vine Shakers, they were friendly, accommodating, patient, and GAME for whatever. (I had some obscure requests :))I will endlessly recommend them. They captured and created the energy of the tent, and, as they promised, even got people who don't usually dance on the dance floor. I continue to get compliments on everything about them. Joanne and Ryan were vibrant, responsive, willing to be flexible, and just plain FUN. Vine Shakers were fabulous! They got everyone on the dance floor and singing along. Multiple people (including my wedding photographer who has been to SO many weddings) said it was the best wedding band ever. The singing and energy were superb. We had so much fun and did not want it to end. -

I seriously couldn't have asked for a better band and more helpful people planning the music - they even learned some new songs for us. It was wonderful! We are still getting rave reviews from friends and family!

The music prior to the reception was excellent and during the party the joint was jumping thanks to them. Joanne and Ryan were flawless. They switched from pop to soul to classic rock seamlessly. Where do I even begin!!! The Vine Shakers are absolute rock stars in every sense of the word. From keeping the dance floor moving and 'shaking' all night long, to learning an incredibly obscure song that was a favorite of the grooms father, the vine shakers made all of our musical dream come true. We had a number of professional/well-known musicians at our wedding who came up to us a multiple points to say; "Where did you find this band??!! They are absolutely crushing it!". Where else...Martha's Vineyard! -
