We absolutely LOVE working with The Venue staff. Not only is the location perfect with the ability to walk to absolutely everything FUN and interesting in Downtown Asheville, but it's also on a very peaceful street. The staff are super organized and extremely talented. They take your vision and make it a reality. We have had the pleasure of working countless weddings with their crew and the space makes everything look good, including us. It's a great place to party and we love that the owners are dedicated to contributing to their local community. They are simply good people and I believe that really matters when you choose who to do business with.

We had our wedding at The Venue on 9/23/23 and it was perfect! From the beginning everyone we worked with was professional, organized and helpful! They were able to answer all of our questions. The location is absolutely gorgeous and didn't require a lot of extra decor. The food was delicious and the drinks were exactly what we wanted.

Wow, I cannot say enough good things about The Venue. Deandra, Paige, and entire staff really made the entire experience so much easier than I was anticipating.

These were some of mine and my now husband’s favorite things about the venue:

-The food: This was on my husbands “ most important” list, and he has a pretty high standards since he was in the culinary industry himself. Months later, we still have guest talking to us about how delicious the food was!!

-The staff: As a self proclaimed perfectionist, I actually relaxed and enjoyed our wedding day. Everything executed perfectly by The Venue.

-The location: Seriously, this could not be more perfect. Right in the heart of downtown Asheville.

There are so many things we enjoyed about our wedding at The Venue. It would be hard to list in one review. We don’t currently live in Asheville (and didn’t at the time of our wedding) but still recommend The Venue all the time!!

Deandra and staff at the Ridge and the Venue did an outstanding job making this event perfect for us. Food was delicious, outdoor wedding and reception center were beautiful. They took care of everything for us and all we had to do was enjoy our guests in the evening.

We had a great time coordinating everything and everyone was more than willing to accommodate us in preparation for the big day. There was some difficulty getting a hold of anyone after after the wedding day but that’s all.

The Venue was one of 4 locations we toured when considering options of where to have our wedding. Located in the center of downtown Asheville, it is conveniently located within walking distance of pretty much everything downtown. Being in a historic building, the owners and staff have kept the rustic appearance with exposed brick and high ceilings.
The staff at the Venue were extremely helpful during the planning phase, and very responsive, even when we had last minute changes during the week building up to the wedding. The Venue were very helpful in allowing us to reschedule due to the pandemic. We chose to use the Venue for our reception. At our arrival, the staff were attentive to all our needs. They brought us drinks and appetizers while we waited for our introductions, ensured our glasses were never empty, and made the entire reception seamless.
Having a resident chef, the Venue provided their own meal options, removing the need for a caterer. So many of our guests commented that the meal (Arctic Salmon) was one of the best they had ever had at a wedding. The Venue also allowed us to serve the meal “family style”, which made the reception even more welcoming. The staff of the Venue went above and beyond in providing us a magical evening for our wedding day. I’d recommend the Venue to anyone looking for a place to host their ceremony, reception, or both.

Our wedding at The Venue was everything we dreamed it would be! The space is so unique and beautiful and was exactly what we wanted for our big day. I can't say enough good things about Paige and Nicole, they were absolutely amazing! We booked the Venue a significant period of time out from our date and there were some staff changes along the way, but Paige was our constant the whole time. She was so responsive, answered a million questions and went over all the details with me. Paige went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect and the event was exactly what we wanted! Nicole with The Planning was assigned to us later in the process but once we got going with her she was on top of everything and I really enjoyed working together. She made sure all of the details of the day were right and double checked anything there might be a question about.

The event itself was perfect. We have had some many compliments on how beautiful the wedding was to how absolutely delicious all the food was (our guests are still talking about the food days later). We would definitely recommend The Venue and would love to have another event there in the future!

The Venue gave us a wedding that impressed all of our guests and that gave us a night that we have cherished every day since. Paige, in particular, was spectacular. She handled our long distance planning efficiently, patiently...all of the positive adverbs. When we encountered brief friction with the owner, Paige was calm and poised and friendly while bridging us back into our planning. The crew was perfect, our tables and setup were arranged and shifted without any hiccup. The chef provided us meals that every one of our guests complimented us about. Even though we were that same couple who didn't get to eat everything right away, we did get take-home dishes and they were still phenomenal. The Venue without decor at all would still be wedding-ready, and the cute location on the cobblestone street will give you easy amazing pictures.

We had our rehearsal dinner at the Venue. I could go on about its stylish and fun atmosphere and great food, but what I think is so much more valuable to say is that the staff truly make this spot incredible. Deandra, Nicole (from The Planning), Marta, and the rest of their team are truly the best. They have a great sense of humor, which made the planning process fun and full of laughs. When my wife and I felt overwhelmed with the number of details, Deandra’s calming presence helped us feel at ease as she organized the night into manageable to-dos. The staff welcomed my wife bringing a bunch of her own DIY decorations; they were fully invested in helping us make our own vision come to life. We quickly realized that working with The Venue felt more like planning a spectacular night with hyper-competent friends than any kind of formal process. In writing this review, I really don’t feel like I can do justice to communicate how the unique contributions by the staff at The Venue helped create the best weekend of our lives in a way we would not have had if we had worked with anyone else. They are wonderful.

We had a rehearsal dinner here and is was absolutely wonderful!!! The service, food, atmosphere were all very good. Everyone raved about the night.

Jameson and I got engaged last October and we weren’t really sure where we wanted to get married. We played with the mountain idea and talked about Tennessee and it didn’t feel right. Asheville has been apart of our story. While we dated long distance we visited Asheville twice and both times were beyond extraordinary and we knew that was the city we would celebrate the union of us. We were really hoping for October, because duh and in December we decided to set up some venue visits. We had our first visit at The Venue with three other locations scheduled. We walked in and instantly we both were like, “is this real life? It’s BEAUTIFUL.” We met with the owner, Marta who showed us the space but most importantly we loved how passionate she was about creating magical moments for her clients. We were already sold on the location, but Marta is the real reason we fell so in love with it. We ventured into our next appointment with a date of October 9th open and we weren’t nearly as impressed but we felt we had to do our due diligence. Marta called us and let us know she had another showing after us and they were interested in the same date, realistically it comes down to who is faster to pull the trigger. We never stumbled through credit cards so quickly. From our initial meet to the day of the wedding everything was so incredibly organized, thorough and the experience could not have been better if they tried. The food was AMAZING, the staff was incredible, friendly and I loved how much they loved their job, that is such a huge reflection of the organization as a whole. We worked closely with Nicole and Deandra and those two beautiful women are ROCKSTARS, you guys! I am thoroughly so incredibly happy and impressed with how smoothly this has been and how perfect the evening was. If you’re looking for a spot in Asheville, there really is no other place than The Venue!

Our wedding was the most amazing day of our lives and that was fully due to the expertise of The Ridge, The Venue, and The Planning's (RVP's) amazing team. We are SO thankful to have had the opportunity to work with Marta, Darian, Kay, Deandra, Amanda and Nicole throughout our planning process and extending into the actual event. I can’t speak highly enough about RVP – their professionalism was impeccable and kept me, as the bride, calm, confident, and organized while also being very efficient.

We made a full wedding weekend out of our event in August 2021. Starting on Friday we had a Chinese Tea Ceremony out on “The Knoll” which is THE most beautiful site. Following that we hosted our Welcome Party at “The Chateau” (which is also part of The Ridge). Our guests were blown away with the event orchestration and the simple elegance and undeniable beauty of The Ridge.

The following day we held our wedding and reception at The Venue. While getting ready my bridesmaids and I utilized “The Loft” – which was particularly charming with warm sunlight pouring in the windows.
Throughout our weekend, our bridal party was chartered around by the RVP Sprinter van. This wound up being perfect and ensured everyone was where they needed to be at the right time. For our actual wedding we utilized the entire space available at "The Venue". We started out by having our ceremony on the Second Floor, guests were then led downstairs for a cocktail hour on the first floor "Market and Mezzanine level" and then finally into the the reception in the back. I loved the way this was done as each room was a bit different and served as a little surprise for everyone! Our reception was catered by The Venue and our guests were blown away with the quality of food and service... Chef prepared a delicious meal with very satisfactory serving sizes (I was extra critical of this as I've been left hungry and unimpressed with the meals at other weddings I've attended!). As a whole, everything was orchestrated with precision and I was beyond thrilled with my wedding both during the weekend and in retrospect!

As for the individuals involved: Nicole was the most amazing planner throughout the process – she tolerated my questions and any last minute changes like a champ! She was always warm, welcoming, and helped to make it the best day ever! Darian, Kay, Deandra, and Amanda were equally wonderful and were able to put together the wedding of my dreams while accommodating and helping me put together exactly what I was envisioning.

I recommend The Ridge, The Venue and The Planning with every ounce of my being! They were wonderful - my husband and I are so fortunate to have been able to experience our dream wedding weekend!

The Venue made sure our daughter's wedding reception was beautiful with delicious food and drink. The staff was extremely attentive and "can do" when requests were made. The space lends itself to a lovely antique French country feel especially in the evening. We enjoyed working with Deandra and staff to make the reception exactly what our daughter and son-in-law wanted. Hats off to The Venue and its caring staff.

I can't say enough wonderful things about this venue and everyone who works there! I am a recent bride who had my wedding reception at The Venue, and everything about our day was perfect. The space is beautiful, the staff are very friendly and helpful, and the people who help you throughout the planning process are so responsive every step of the way. Additionally, the food is delicious, which is not always a given at weddings. I cannot recommend enough renting The Venue for your next event!

I will try not to use the word perfect over and over in this review, but it was! Amanda answered every email & call promptly. She was patience, understanding, & her guidance helped make each decision an easy one. Everyone commented on the delicious food and the professional staff. The Venue was amazing from start to finish! It is such a gorgeous location, and the staff really did all they could to make my special day perfect. I planned my wedding in three and a half months and didn’t decide on the Venue until 5 weeks out because of Covid issues. They made sure to cover all the bases (and some that I never would have thought about) in that short amount of time. I couldn’t have asked for a better team and a better venue. Thank you!

We found The Venue to be the perfect place for a wedding reception. Convenient location, EXCELLENT food, beautiful facilities, and extraordinary communication and professionalism. Amanda handled our requests and rescheduled reception without a hitch and with complete attention to every detail. The flexibility at The Venue under pandemic times was unparalleled and we appreciate their cooperation in helping us put the reception together under these unusual circumstances! Amanda, Marta and the entire Venue team absolutely blew our wedding out of the water!! Long story short, we had to postpone our original wedding plan back in March 2020, originally scheduled for May, then completely change everything for our new wedding date in October 2020 because of the pandemic. Roughly two months before the new date in October, we found out we could no longer have our ceremony at the church we had planned for, since COVID was still very much a thing, and because of that, we decided to shift having both our wedding ceremony and reception in downtown Asheville to having both events in the Lake Junaluska area (about 30 minutes away). We scaled down our guest list, chose a new ceremony location (The Chapel at Lake Junaluska) and also moved our reception to an outdoor / backyard event. We asked The Venue if they would still cater, organize and run our event, and they stepped up to the challenge and delivered something beyond our expectations! (Side note, Chef Mike is a genius and people cannot stop talking about the food at our wedding!) But in all seriousness, 2020 brought about a lot of struggles and planning a wedding during a pandemic (and then a hurricane that decided to make a last minute appearance) was LESS than ideal, but it is because of vendors like The Venue who came together and helped us come up with a new plan and adjust to last minute changes that made our weekend so incredibly special! We so appreciate Amanda, Marta and the entire Venue staff for helping to plan and execute a perfect day! 10/10 recommend :)

We had a Welcome Party for my daughter's wedding at The Venue in July. Deandra was fantastic to work with. She walked us through it and everything came together so beautifully. The setting is gorgeous with the exposed brick, beams, candles, and lights. We also received so many compliments on the food. I cannot thank the staff enough for making such a memorable evening for our guests. I would highly, highly recommend The Venue for any wedding event.

The Venue did an excellent job organizing and making our sons rehearsal dinner amazing! Amanda was easy to reach and always responded in a timely manner.
The space is gorgeous and the fire pits after dark were a big success!

Working with The Venue was THE MOST FABULOUS experience! The venue, food, and service were excellent. I had to cancel our rehearsal dinner at the last minute at another restaurant due to restrictions and Marta and Amanda were so accommodating. Their facility was beautiful, food was spectacular, and our guests are still talking about it! I would use them again in a heartbeat!

The Venue made all of our wedding dreams come true! My husband and I primarily worked with Deandra and Nicole and Cloie from The Planning, but any staff member that we came in contact with was professional and answered our questions and concerns promptly. We started our wedding planning process early into our engagement and Deandra was so helpful through it all. We had to make A LOT of changes over the past 1.5 years of our wedding planning process, especially in the past few months because of COVID. The Venue handled all of our requests and changes professionally and made us feel at ease when we were stressing. They went above and beyond to make our day beautiful, special and safe with restrictions in place due to COVID. The day of staff was amazing and made sure everything was seamless. Nicole from The Planning was focused on every detail and set up the decorations beautifully. Our day was better than we ever imagined. The best part was knowing we could relax and enjoy our day and The Venue had it all covered!

We got married at The Venue in Jan 2020 and it was absolutely a dream come true. I loved working with Amanda and the staff. They are open and so willing to help cater the day to your needs, budget, and desires. Multiple people told me after the wedding that they had not been to a wedding that ran so smoothly before. I give all the credit to the staff and organization of The Venue!

Deandra and the entire team at The Venue provided exceptional service and attention to detail which ultimately lead to an exquisite wedding for my daughter.

The Venue was not only an amazing location for our wedding, but the level of service, quality of food and constant communication from everyone on their staff made the reception part of our wedding absolutely perfect. Amanda who was our on-site contact after we booked was very detailed and kind. She made sure that there was not a hair out of place. My husband is a chef and we cared about the food and wine and Chef Michael worked with us to create our dream menu. My only regret was not hiring The Planning as our wedding coordinator. The owner, Marta is a complete professional and is a no-bull kind of lady...which speaks right to me! If you are a perfectionist like I am, you won't be disappointed!

We live in Florida and after a lot of research, my daughter and (now) son-in-law, chose to have their wedding ceremony at the Ridge; their reception at The Venue; and The Planning assist with all of the (long distance) preparations. After only one visit to North Carolina and almost a year of numerous email questions; last minute changes; and suggestions on things I hadn’t thought of; the “Big Day” arrived. The weather cooperated so the view at The Ridge was breathtaking; and the food and service at The Venue was extraordinary. Needless to say, we could not be more pleased with the way everything turned out. Many, many thanks go out to our wedding planner Cloie (The Planning), Darien, Olivia, Hope (The Ridge) and Deandra (The Venue) (plus countless others on their respective teams) for their professionalism, patience and for all of the hard work and dedication they put into making this “Big Day” a huge success!!!!

We absolutely love touring the venue in Asheville North Carolina. We were just blown away with the layout plan and the flexibility when it comes to customizing your wedding details. They truly go over and beyond. One of my favorite portions of the tour was getting to see their bridal suite. It really blew me away and I could envision myself getting ready for my big day there. I recommend the venue to anyone and everyon we absolutely love touring the venue in Asheville North Carolina. We were just blown away with the layout plan and the flexibility when it comes to customizing your wedding details. They truly go over and beyond. One of my favorite portions of the tour was getting to see their bridal suite. It really blew me away and I could envision myself getting ready for my big day there. “Where do we begin....
It has been the upmost pleasure working with The Venue for our wedding! We count our blessings that we found you to be the ones to pull this off in the grand style that you did. From the first meetings to the farewell confetti, theyfulfilled all of our expectations and more! The atmosphere and beauty at the church and the Venue was so special, everyone has raved about it and many commented, “Best wedding we’ve ever been to!” Our retired minister said that about the reception and he’s been to a lot of them over 40 years!

The delicious food and the chef talking with people was so impressive. The special surprise of the imported ham was loved, as well as the buried bourbon ceremony! People were very impressed from the beginning with the cocktail hour charcuterie and marlin ice sculpture over the seafood display. The servers and bartenders were plentiful and first class. The groom and father of the bride were especially pleased with the individual service that was provided, nothing was missed or left out. They are truly are a top of the line, professional outfit from the top to the bottom.”

We can't thank Amanda and the entire team at the Venue enough for our incredible wedding day. The Venue is absolutely beautiful and the team knows how to seamlessly pull together an amazing event. We loved that it's right downtown, which gave our guests the freedom to explore and enjoy Asheville between our ceremony and the reception.

We planned the wedding long distance from Brooklyn, but Amanda made it so easy - Amanda was so responsive and answered all of our questions thoroughly - and she was also patient when we weren't quite as fast to respond as she was. :) It alleviated a lot of stress to not have to worry about providing our own decorations and candles and trust the team to make it look spectacular. Amanda was incredibly thoughtful and made sure to check in with us throughout the reception (she had drinks waiting for us and even brought some of the late night biscuits to us on the dance floor and packed up some of the desserts for us to take with us that night too).

Also - I'm not sure if my parents had more fun at the wedding or the tasting - definitely do the tasting if you can. Chef is amazing and has such a passion for the food and local ingredients. Definitely one of the best parts of planning the wedding!

Exactly one month and one day ago my fiancé and I had our wedding ceremony at The Ridge followed by our reception at The Venue. If we could do it all over again - the planning, e-mails, phone calls, the visits to Asheville, then of course the actual day of the ceremony and reception...we wouldn't change A THING. We cannot thank the team at The Venue enough. From day one, Marta, Deandra, Jillian, Darien, and Chloe made us feel completely comfortable and that whatever it took to make use feel stress-free and at ease, they would take care of. Planning a wedding from a distance (we live in Charleston) can be stressful, but the team at The Venue went above and BEYOND to take care of all of our needs, wants, and wildest dreams. Their level of professionalism is outstanding - from the early days of planning to the execution of the events, they never once failed to accommodate. I also felt like I became friends with the planners, as they were so welcoming and easy to talk to, and reassured me constantly that everything would be beautiful - and it was. The space is incredible, and they nailed our vision in every way. The FOOD...AMAZING. All of our guests commented about how delicious the food was, and couldn't get enough. Our friends and family also couldn't believe how smoothly everything ran considering the change of venues (The Ridge to The Venue). This proves that their entire team works incredibly together to ensure that every moment of your (our) special day runs seamlessly. I am someone who can easily become stressed out, and the day of my wedding, I didn't worry one bit - I knew I was in good hands at all times. We can't thank the team enough for the time and effort they put into making this truly, the best day ever. To be honest...I miss them all! I would recommend them now and forever. I can not say enough wonderful things about our experience at The Venue!! We worked with Marta and her fabulous team to plan our daughters wedding reception at The Venue! From my very first meeting with Planning Team, I felt so comfortable .....they are such amazing people to work with. Amanda and Jillian are the absolute best.....they were patient, courteous, fun to be around and responsive to my emails, phone calls, etc. They made wedding planning a breeze knowing they had everything under control!!

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Venue in May and from day one we knew we made a great choice! Throughout the year long planning process, Marta, Amanda, Amy and many others went above and beyond to make our special day perfect. Amanda is a dream come true. She was always quick to answer any questions that we had and did an amazing job of keeping us on track. We could feel the love and enthusiasm they pour into each of their events each time we connected with them. The day-of was absolutely perfect! Not only is the space simply gorgeous but the team is so accommodating. They were attentive to all of our needs (me, my husband, multiple family members) before things got kicked off and then during the celebration, they were ever present making sure guests had what they needed and were well taken care of. The food is DELICIOUS! My husband is a chef, so we had high standards going in, and their chef, kitchen staff and wait staff were beyond what we thought was possible for a wedding. So many guests have complimented the food and desserts they did for us. The Venue’s team made our day so perfect. We couldn’t have pulled it off so successfully if they were not such a professional, caring, talented and amazing team. Thank you all for everything you did for us!

Used the Venue for my wedding a couple of weeks ago- and I am still blown away how perfect the day went. Leading up to the big day, Jillian and Deandra were both extremely helpful with making decisions, and responded promptly to all of my questions. The day of the wedding, everything went very smoothly, and never once did I feel overwhelmed by the planning process. When I walked into the ceremony and reception space for the first time, I was brought to tears. It was so BEAUTIFUL! How someone is able to flip a room like that in a matter of 45 minutes, beats me. The girls and guys at the Venue have weddings and events down to a science. If you are looking for the perfect venue for anything in Asheville, look no further.

I cannot say thank you enough to this team!

We held our son’s rehearsal dinner at The Venue in Asheville on November 17, 2017 and we are from out of town. We knew nothing about Asheville, but our experience with The Venue was exceptional. From my first interview with Deandra of the Venue staff to the end of the evening, I had help all along the way and every question was answered by email right away. We used their tablecloths and table accessories which were beautiful. I did order some cocktail napkins and koozies for the bar. The waiters and waitresses were plentiful and so hospitable. They got us anything we needed. Their service was excellent. The food was delicious. The meat was cooked perfectly as were the vegetable medley and potatoes. Also, the amounts were perfect. The candles all lit all over the room made for an inviting space for the dinner and for friends to gather afterwards. Deandra helped so much with the food and amounts, and any leftovers we brought to the hotel room for later. This was one of the most pleasant experiences I have ever had in entertaining any number of people. My son and his fiancé thoroughly enjoyed the whole evening as did other “ young people” as well as our friends from out of town. I would highly recommend The Venue for any event!

We got married at The Venue on 12/2/17. I cannot begin to say enough amazing things about Marta and her staff. From day 1 over a year before, everyone was extremely helpful and attentive. Amanda has the answer to anything you could possibly need! Amy with The Planning was on top of everything the night of our wedding. We had to ask for nothing. Our guests are still talking about how amazing the food was and the space was decorating unbelievably. I wish we could do it all over again! They truly made our dream wedding come to fruition and we could not have asked for a better night!

Our wedding day was nothing short of wonderful at The Venue. The staff was incredibly attentive and caring, and treated our special day as if if was their own. We couldn't not have been more pleased with the amount of effort, time and care Marta, Amanda, Paige and Amy put into making our day go off without a hitch, and making sure that our vision came to life. We would recommend The Venue to anyone looking to make their big day one to remember! A huge thank you to all the staff at The Venue that worked their tails off all night long! I cannot say enough positive things about the Venue. Our son had his wedding reception there a week ago (early September). The staff - starting with Deandra - was so easy to work with. It was a destination wedding so all of us were dealing with things from afar throughout the planning and Deandra could not have been any more responsive or helpful. We had a tasting with the chef in March - lots of choices for appetizers and the main meal. The staff the evening of the event was awesome as well. The food was great and it was served very timely which is a definite challenge when you have 180 people at an event. The atmosphere was wonderful - we had cocktails on the street level and then dinner/dancing in the Mezzanine. All the feedback we got from invited guests was very positive. Thanks so much for setting up such a beautiful display of all our family made cookies too!

I cannot say enough positive things about the Venue and their staff. My husband and I had our ceremony, as well as our reception at the Venue. The day after our wedding, we went on and on about how wonderful and how perfect our wedding was. It brings tears of joy to my eyes to think back!

People always say there will be something that goes wrong, but as I look back I can't recall a single detail that was out of line. I cannot begin to express the gratitude we feel toward the Venue and their staff. The day of the wedding, everyone was so accommodating and did so with a huge smile on their face. However, being the bride, and doing most of the planning, I want to specifically call-out Paige and Amanda. These two girls are hands-down nothing short of rock star planners and master organizers! :) All the while smiling and just having fun through the process WITH you. You always talk about the actual wedding day, but you are planning this one day for months! My planning process with Paige and Amanda was stress-free, truly. They kept all of the details straight, kept a master plan, made sure I had recommendations for vendors if I asked, and made sure everything was in line. Because the planning process was so smooth, the actual day of our wedding, I was so relaxed, because I had full faith in in the Venue staff.

Honestly, our wedding was the best day of my life and I have the Venue, their staff (Marta, Paige and Amanda), as well as our other vendors to thank. I have told the Venue this, but I feel as if they are apart of our family! It was an absolute pleasure working with them and hosting the biggest party of our lives!

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at The Venue on May 20, 2017. From the moment we booked the space at The Venue, the staff was incredibly attentive, sweet, creative, and thoughtful. Amanda made sure everything went smoothly and ensured that all of our requests were fulfilled. Paige was beyond detail-oriented and helped us plan everything down to the tiny details. Tara and Maggie jumped in and helped with day-of details that we did not even think of before the day arrived – they were lifesavers! Honestly, it felt like we were all friends by the end of the weekend –everyone exceeded our expectations. When the wedding day arrived, The Venue was absolutely gorgeous, and the staff worked together to create our dream wedding. We were surrounded by all of our loved ones in a beautiful space, and the staff worked tirelessly to be sure all guests had a wonderful time. In addition to The Venue’s fabulous location, the food was delicious and the space was perfect for dancing. Thank you all for everything! Our daughter married at The Venue on 2/11/17 and we all live outside of N.C. Most of the details were handled by phone. Marta and her team took care of everything . The wedding was beautiful. The decor by Luck was amazing and the cake was delish. We will never for the magical night at The Venue.

Our experience at The Venue in Asheville was amazing! We held a Welcome to Asheville party there the night before our wedding. Our initial tour with Marta was unscheduled and last minute (on our end), and she was super accommodating and flexible with us. After that, all of our questions got answered right away by either Marta or Amanda. Then our last meeting with Amanda weeks before the event went so well. She was extremely thorough and helpful. They helped us throw the type of party we had envisioned and at no point did we feel pushed to spend extra money to do what we wanted. The staff at the event were all super friendly and treated our guests with respect. The food was some of the best food we've ever had in Asheville, and that says a lot about the chef because there is some great food in the city! The decorations they provided were beautiful, we barely had to add any extra. Overall, it was an outstanding experience and I would recommend The Venue in Asheville to anyone for your big event!

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at The Venue and the whole experience was a great one! From the beginning, the staff were courteous and knowledgeable. They were easy to contact and quick with answers/responses. The planning team had lots of great ideas and working with them was a pleasure. On the day of the wedding, everything was set up as I had planned and the setting was gorgeous! The coordinators are extremely professional and made the day go exactly as I had hoped it would. I had nothing to stress over. All details were taken care of. I am still hearing compliments from my guests as to how impressed they were with the Venue and staff. I cannot forget to mention the food. AMAZING! Again, I am still getting compliments and my friends have even been inspired to recreate the dishes. We held our Rehearsal Dinner and After Party there on October 16, 2015. It was a perfect place for family and friends to celebrate the bride and groom. When we walked into The Venue that evening, the setting was beautiful, warm and inviting. It was an evening to remember!

I worked with Jon to plan the rehearsal dinner and he was amazing! It was truly a pleasure to work with someone who genuinely cared about making our event perfect. We did most of the planning from long distance. Jon made sure every detail was taken care of and he addressed every question that I had. I can’t say enough about the positive experience that we had with each staff member at The Venue. The chef prepared wonderful appetizers, a delicious fall dinner and amazing desserts. The staff that worked our event was incredible. Marta, Jon, Amanda and all the staff made the evening absolutely perfect! It was just what we wanted.

1. The astoundingly talented Executive Chef, Steve Boeger, who blew us and our guests away with every delectably item that was handcrafted for our special day. He even took one of their menu items we had chosen and adapted it to my mother's filipino style cooking! Our pre-reception tasting was more like a meal that left us all in awe of what was to come for our wedding day! Our reception exceeded all of our expectations and left our guests still dreaming and talking about how amazing the food was that night!

2. Their General Manager, Jon Andrews, was more than a delight to work with! Not only is he an event planning master, he is cool, calm, efficient, and his event management skills are flawless! When we stepped out from the limo upon arriving we were immediately handed our favorite drinks and walked into a space that we could not believe was our wedding. The facility was sparkling and the ambiance was more than we could have ever hoped for. We barely brought in many decorations and our guests gave us numerous compliments about the decor (which belonged to the Venue). Jon was with us the entire time making sure we were properly taken cared of and even helped us to stay in our seats to enjoy our fabulous meal that had been prepared for us! He prepped us on everything before it happened and made us feel right at home!

3. Marta, the venue owner, is a charismatic compassionate and driven force! She felt like a part of our family! She runs a great team and truly recognizes talent!

4. Amanda Hartzell helped us coordinate offsite alcohol with The NC Arboretum for our first cocktail hour. She thought of every detail leaving us carefree!

The staff was professional, warm, and attentive to every single one of our needs. The timing of everything was impeccable, there is not one negative thing that we could say about the Venue.

The Venue is nothing less of incredible. I am convinced The Venue's team are wedding scientists with a cure for all wedding day disasters. From day one, Jon and Amanda were such a joy to work with, and made me feel very comfortable. The natural beauty and elegance of each room is an experience in itself. And I can't leave out the food...every dish is mouth watering! We are so thankful for The Venue and how perfectly they executed every detail of our day. Guests are still talking about it! I can't say enough about The Venue. Jon and Marta were there for me and my new husband every step of the way during the planning and the actual wedding. I cannot say enough about the Marta, Jon and Amanda and their staff at The Venue- Asheville. It was an amazing night and the reception was a culmination of months and months of planning and they did not disappoint! I had so many comments about how beautiful The Venue was and the professionalism of their staff. The cocktail area was separate from the eating and dancing area. It is gorgeously decorated with all the beautifully lit lanterns, candles and architectural exposed brick walls and beams. As soon as I arrived, the staff made sure we were given something to drink and our bags were put where we were to be seated. What parent of the bride and groom would not need that kind of service after a long, exhausting and emotional day? The eating area was unveiled once the bride and groom arrived.The planner, Amanda, took care of all the details and assisted the bride( my daughter) in bussling her gown immediately upon her arrival. Everything went like clockwork! We could not have asked for more. The bride and groom were seated and the tables were dismissed one at a time and served in the buffet line. The bride and groom actually got to eat! Imagine that? The food was out of this world! Jon worked with us to make sure the appetizers, food and beverages were exactly what the bride and groom wanted for their BIG day!
The attention to detail and the planning for the BIG day was made so easy and effortless by Marta and Jon and their well-trained staff. You guys are a CLASS ACT! Marta and her staff at The Venue made our wedding perfect. From the beginning there was timely and professional, yet comfortable correspondence between either the owner, Marta or the event manager, Jon. They were very flexible and accommodating with all our questions and requests. The day of the wedding, the facility was everything we hoped it would be and more. The interior was so beautiful with all the decor and the lighting was superb! It truly was wonderful. We received so many comments from our guests on how much they loved the interior. The event manager was very accommodating with regards to our cake lady, DJ and the delivery/staging of the centerpieces.

The transition from ceremony to reception was seamless. The food was fantastic! The buffet tables were set up nicely and functionally. Everyone was very impressed with the staff. My husband and I were married last month in NC (we live up in MD). Planning our wedding from a distance was expected to be a challenge, but it really wasn't thanks to the professionalism and attentiveness from Marta and Jon. Our ceremony took place outside of Asheville, but our reception was with The Venue. The reception was planned (by Marta & Jon) down to the minute and the finest detail. I consider myself a perfectionist when it comes to important events like this (I mean, duh...it's my wedding day!) but there were details and specifics that Marta and Jon thought of and already took care of without me even thinking about it. Just like most couples, we were working on a budget. They helped us to get creative on a number of things which made us feel in control (commonly not the case when planning a wedding - you normally feel out of control at times...but not with them!).

Our wedding was a fairy tale in no small part because of the wonderful services provided by The Venue. They were flexible at every step determined to make our wedding perfect for the us. They were a little close to the tip of our price range but they worked with us to stay in budget. The space is beautiful and we found we needed to add very little to make it match our color scheme and theme. When we arrived on the wedding day they were excited to see us and prepared for everything. A month later wedding guests are already taking about a 10 year anniversary party there because the space was so wonderful, and we live an hour and a half away. The staff was so amazing! I feel like I have two new friends in Marta and Jon. I recommend The Venue wholeheartedly. You will not be disappointed.

The space itself was transformed for our wedding for the exact rustic/earthy (yet beautiful!!) feel that we were going for (for both our ceremony and reception). The food was incredible!! I am writing a a guest at a wedding at the is venue. I had a baby 7 weeks before the wedding. It is very difficult for me to go out in public because I am breastfeeding and she is so young. The staff was amazing. They made sure I had a comfortable place to feed my baby. They also made sure that I had food and water while I fed her. This kind of service and care made a huge difference in my experience at the wedding and made it possible that I could enjoy my brother's wedding with a newborn.

We had our reception at The Venue and were the first to use their outdoor ceremony site, Bridgewater. Everything was perfect! Marta pours her heart into her events and it shows. The Venue and Bridgewater are absolutely gorgeous! Bridgewater is a bit of a drive from The Venue but it was totally worth it. We had the best of both worlds - outdoor, rustic ceremony with a reception in the middle of downtown - which is exactly what we wanted. The cost was pretty significant but competitive with the other venues in town, as far as I can tell.

I had my reception here and I searched all over Asheville for the perfect spot that was worth the money! I loved the Venue's look and unique look and location! It was the perfect spot! Marta is amazing!!!! Her food is excellent and she is so understanding and sweet! You will love her. I would recommend this location to my best friend!

We had the most amazing wedding thanks to The Venue and their staff. Planning a wedding is such a stressful process, but Marta, Jon, and Amanda (coordinator) took extra efforts to make sure we were taken care of throughout the entire year and up until we left at the end of our event. The space is breathtaking (more beautiful than in pictures), and it provided the exact vibe we were hoping for - rustic, but modern, refined, but not stuffy. As a business owner I have been at The Venue in numerous occasions for different types of events, and NOT ONCE have I been disappointed. The level of professionalism, quality of service, and value, were beyond my expectations. No matter how small or big the events are. Marta and her team are excelent at what they do and certainly they are the best!!!.

It was absolutely wonderful. In fact, I don't think words can adequately describe the atmosphere, the service and most of all the food! I've had food that was delicious but this food was fantastic. So many flavors in each item that made it a work of art and the taste was incredible. This summer two daughters were married. The Venue hosted a reception for the first, and the ceremony and reception for the second. They were unknown to us when we first began our search, but from the first interview to discuss services, pricing and dates, Marta’s passion for her work was obvious. Our experiences were nothing short of fabulous. We originally planned to interview multiple providers, but after meeting Marta my daughter said “I really don’t need to talk with anyone else – let’s do it here.” The second daughter approached her search from the perspective of “anywhere other than The Venue,” but after visiting a dozen alternatives she concluded The Venue offered the most unique experience. Both events “wowed” guests, and compliments ranged from “what a neat place” to “the food was fabulous”. Marta and Jon go out of their way to ensure a great experience. Minutes after arriving, they picked me out of a crowd of 200 guests and sent servers with hors de oeuvres to ensure I got something to eat. Marta asked what I would be drinking and brought me a cocktail. Three months later at the second event, she remembered what I drank and had a special bottle set aside without me even asking. They protect the married couple, making sure they have time to eat and moments alone. We used food stations and when Jon saw guests showing a preference for traditional seating instead of the stand-up conversation tables we planned, he quickly added additional seating without being asked. Throughout the process, everyone at The Venue was extremely professional and polite. They are dedicated to seeing that everyone has a good time and that they exceed expectations. In conclusion, I’d have no problem recommending The Venue or using them again. Truly a great experience.

We had our rehearsal dinner at The Venue at everything was absolutely perfect for us. It was a great location for our guests arriving into town and they could walk from the hotel. The food was excellent and the bar service was great. They were accomadating when we wanted to extend the hours of our event. We were also allowed to use much nicer linens at no extra charge! We were able to bring in our own cake and table arrangements. We received so many compliments that night from our guests and I would definately recommend this place to friends!

We feel so lucky to have had our wedding reception at The Venue! From the first time we visited, even though we had several other appointments lined up after, we knew The Venue was it. From the location (just a few blocks away from The Renaissance where our guests stayed) to the ambiance (rustic ambiance with exposed brick and high ceilings and beams with candlelight), to the staff and service, it was perfect. Marta and Jon are so good at what they do. In every correspondence, they did a few things which were very important and struck me – first, they made me feel like my wedding was the only event they had all year. Second, they were calming at every step. I was never hugely stressed out, since I knew we were in good hands, but if ever I had a question or felt I’d missed something, they were quick to say “Don’t worry, we have it handled!” It’s clear that Marta has tons of passion for what she does, even after all these years of experience. She never stopped at status quo, letting us do our thing and lead the way, but also making fun suggestions to make the event more special, like making our grilled cheese and tomato soup apps into a heart shape! We also found our ceremony location (the chapel at Asheville School) thanks to Marta. During the reception, they guided us and made sure everything happened as planned, but never made us feel rushed or pressured. We really liked how they incorporated local beers and eats into the menu to give everyone real taste of Asheville. Our guests had the best time – the only trouble was convincing everyone to leave when it was over! I’d highly recommend The Venue to anyone who wants a beautiful wedding put on by true professionals who are also a joy to work with.

If you are looking for a venue with natural beauty, this is your place. Decorations are not really needed sue to the rustic look of the place. The people are very nice and the management and coordinators were on top of my questions the whole way through. Great Job!

The Venue provided Above Average to Exceptional overall service. They are very easy to work with and responsive. The quality of Food was excellent and fit the price. We hire them regularly.

We had a beautiful wedding and reception here. However, I will say that we felt nickled and dimed throughout the process. $150 to taste SOME of the food for our reception? Fees to use basic things such as an iPod hookup.. I get that they need to make money, but there comes a certain point where it's just unnecessary.

That being said, our wedding day went off without a hitch. The months leading up to it just weren't as pleasant.

The Venue is a beautiful place to get married. As a local of Asheville it really was nice to be downtown.

Buyer beware. Review your contract carefully and get everything in writing. Execution of the reception was poor. Dinner service started 45 minutes late which impacted the rest of the evening. There wasn't enough time to do everything the bride/groom had planned. The wedding planner and management were not in control of the schedule. They were short staffed even though we paid for a specific number of staff. The wedding planner was busy serving meals instead of managing the event. Management and owner did not care to address our concerns.

Thankfully, my floral designers helped make this beautiful space come to life. The space itself was absolutely gorgeous and everything I hoped for - the trouble of working with this venue, the debating over every detail, the arguing - both with myself and my parents as well as with our guests, the general attitude of the staff which was only keeping the interests of the venue in mind, and never the interests of myself and my husband (the bride and groom) in mind, are entirely not worth it. My night was perfect with the exception of the way they handled just about everything with us from the start of the process to the end of it.....if your wedding is less than 100 people, I bet they would be great. Any bigger and you're going to be incredibly disappointed at your service and professionalism and especially your value....be ware, they'll nickel and dime every last cent out of you.
