Where do I even begin?
We had just a 28 person wedding including us, the bride and groom... Sounds simple, right? Well, we complicated it by marrying alllll the way out at Powell Gardens, and then doing to reception alllll the way back in town at Lidia's. Lots of driving! In addition to that, it was important to us (ok mostly me) to have a Zero Waste wedding- with stations set up all over the house/venues for waste to go to recycling, compost, Terracycle, burn-ables for our fire pit, etc. etc. It required a lot more work, and LaTasha helped to make it happen!
LaTasha was CONSTANTLY on her feet, thinking ahead, anticipating my needs, conducting our rehearsal (we didn't know what the hell we were doing!!), picking up breakfast for us on the big day, wrangling folks for photos, collaborating with the photographer, making our yummy but somewhat boring looking cake POP with flowers and handmade bird toppers, video-ing all the toasts... I mean seriously, what can't she do?! She even helped me sneak a nerf bullet into my bestie-of-honor's bouquet so that I could surprise the groom with a silly inside joke during our vows when I handed him a flower with the nerf bullet tied to the stem... GOT HIM!!!
Everyone in our families and close friend group admired LaTasha's hard work and cheerful can-do attitude. She fit right into the energy of our big day. She thinks of EVERYTHING. I absolutely loved working with her, and the amount of stress she saved me was just so impactful- my main goal for the weekend was to direct all our guests' well-meaning logistical questions to her, so that I didn't have to think or make decisions- I could just divorce my phone for the day and be present. It was one hell of a weekend. It would not have been as breezy and fun without LaTasha there to guide things. -

I was hesitant to spend the money on a Day of Coordinator, but I was so glad we hired LaTasha. She ensured our special day. LaTasha was highly organized, efficient, and caring. She walked us through all kinds of questions and scenarios to ensure our wedding went smoothly. Plus, she's an incredible resource for any questions you have before the wedding and not on just that day. If you're looking for an experienced and detail-oriented coordinator, you must talk to LaTasha if you want a person who will give you 110% percent on your wedding day. My wife, Alison, and I can't recommend LaTasha and The Veil KC highly enough. -

I almost don't even know where to start! LaTasha is probably the sole reason why our wedding day was successful. She set us up for success by making sure we had all of our ducks in a row at different intervals before the wedding (3 months out, 6 weeks out, etc). She was meticulous in making sure we were on track and happy with every decision we made. She was flexible in changing decisions when we wanted to change something which was very comforting. It made us feel heard and that she was really there to make our wedding what WE wanted it to be. Without her impeccable organizational skills and professionalism, my husband and I would not have been able to navigate all of the different moving pieces of a wedding. It really relieves you of unnecessary stress when you know that questions will be asked to your planner on the day of so you can focus on just enjoying the day. We knew we could 100% count on LaTasha to handle any mishap that could potentially happen because she had shown throughout the entire process of planning, that she was capable and had a strong will to get goals accomplished. She made us feel comfortable throughout and never made us feel silly for not knowing something. She was kind, understanding, and available when we got anxious and had to ask a million questions.
If you are in need of a wedding planner who is calm under pressure, extremely organized, reliable, and fun, please hire LaTasha. It was truly the number one best decision we could have made during this process. Thank you for guiding us and producing the most beautiful wedding we could have ever asked for. We'll be forever grateful. -

I recently got married on 9/23/2022. LaTasha was AMAZING! She executed every detail of my wedding day to perfection. I was stress free as she ensured everything happened as it should. The months leading up to my wedding I was able to communicate with her about all the details and any questions I had. She was quick to respond and even talked me through my mini freak outs as my wedding date got closer. My wedding day was perfect thanks to her. -

She made sure all my wedding decor dreams came together, made sure my vendor team had all the information, kept us on schedule and went way over beyond with end of night clean up. LaTasha was an absolute gamechanger in ensuring that our wedding went smoothly! I can’t count how many times I thought of some detail that I realized I had not done only to realize that LaTasha had already taken care of it. LaTasha was professional, supportive, direct, considerate, and extremely organized. I knew from the start that her priority was supporting our vision for our wedding rather than imposing some other set of ideas onto us. She also thought of a million details that would not have crossed our minds. As the run of show coordinator, she also helped us to stay organized in the months preceding the big day. This really helped us to not get too overwhelmed because she set us up with structures and organizational tools that helped us to gauge our progress and prevent us from accidentally letting something we didn’t think about slip through the cracks. We were able to really relax and bask in the love and special energy of our day because we KNEW LaTasha had our backs! Honestly, the number one comment I heard about our wedding (other than, “Congratulations,” “Beautiful dress,” etc) was, “Wow, your coordinator is really good!”
Hire this woman, you will not regret it! Some of my guests said they wished they had hired someone like LaTasha on their wedding day because they were not fully able to enjoy it due to how much they had on their plate. Don’t make that mistake - you only get this chance once. On your wedding day, trust me - you’ll thank yourself for hiring such an amazing and competent coordinator. -

Without question, the best decision I made in wedding planning was hiring LaTasha as my coordinator. My wedding would not have been the wonderful event it was without LaTasha’s guidance and help and know-how. Our detailed phone conversations made sure that we were on the same page and gave me the confidence to know that she was ON IT. She was just as happy and excited about my wedding as I was, which made talking to her a breeze. When I wasn’t sure what to do, or just needed some advice, I knew she would be honest. Especially in the home stretch, she always answered my texts about even the silliest of worries, and made me feel confident that it was going to be an amazing day. I was completely confident that as I was getting ready, taking pictures, and dealing with butterflies, I had a teammate in LaTasha who made sure everything went off without a hitch. She kept me on track, on task, and always knew what I wanted or needed before I had even thought of it. One of the nicest surprises? Seeing at the end of the night that my phone was full of pictures and videos she had taken. It was such a simple gesture that meant so much! -

I was the Mother of the Bride, from start to finish Latasha took care of my Daughter and the entire wedding party and she does it with detail, order and efficiency. LaTasha was my mom's wedding coordinator for her wedding - I was the matron of honor.
LaTasha was seriously AMAZING!! She was incredibly organized, advocated for my mom to make sure all her needs and preferences were met, coordinated things with vendors. She made sure my mom did not have to lift a FINGER on her wedding day! She was with us for the rehearsal on Saturday directing to make sure everyone knew what was happening and from early morning on the wedding day until the last light was out at the venue in the evening. LaTasha helped with and ran everything from set-up to tear down, she kept detailed lists of every single thing we had for decor and who it belonged to and where it needed to end up.
She is also one of the nicest people EVER while also being a hard-ass and making sure stuff gets DONE - coordinating with other vendors and also bridal party all while letting the bride enjoy her day (which is, seriously, exactly what you need in a wedding coordinator)
I do not know how we would have gotten through the rehearsal and wedding day without her, not to mention all the times she talked my mom down about stressors and issues leading up to her wedding!
LaTasha is an absolutely phenomenal wedding coordinator and absolutely everybody should hire her!! You don't even know it, but you need her running your special day! -

LaTasha was amazing. She got me through the pandemic wedding planning with 2 dates and a venue change. Everything was perfect, largely due to her attention to detail. Yes, you do need a wedding planner. LaTasha is the best! That is her fluffing my dress before I walk down, in the pic. -

The Best in the Biz
Incredible. LaTasha was exactly who I needed during wedding planning and getting myself, and everything else organized for our August wedding. She took the stress of contacting vendors and other duties off me so I could focus on my day. LaTasha ran the entire show and I don't think I could have had a successfully smooth wedding without her. I'm not kidding when I say, I don't think there's anything she can't do. The day of our wedding I went to the farmers market to purchase flowers for our wedding, while I was getting ready, LaTasha in the midst of setting everything up and organizing everyone, put together my bouquet and all my bridesmaids' bouquets. They were so beautiful! Throughout our day, she brought my husband and I water (and our photographer) to make sure we were hydrated. She made sure we had everything we needed ALWAYS, and she even took my phone and recorded my MOH/ BM speeches and snapped some photos that I will cherish forever. COVID stressed me out and LaTasha took all that stress away in everything she did. I cannot recommend her enough. Anytime I had a question or needed something, she never hesitated to figure it out and find a solution. On top of her being the bad*** she is, she is the sweetest, most caring person I had the pleasure of working with for our wedding. Thank you so much for everything you did for us LaTasha. You are THE best in the entire business. -

LaTasha set me at ease leading up to the wedding day by taking care of concerns that came up with vendors. She stepped in and took my vision and made it a reality with the venue. I was blown away when I arrived! Not to mention everything she did during the ceremony and reception so they would go off without a hitch. LaTasha was the best we could have asked for. It was a worry-free day for sure! She handed my husband and I drinks the whole night so we never left the dance floor. She scooped up my dinner for me so I wouldn't get anything on my dress. It was the little details she did throughout the day and evening that were just amazing and we literally couldn't have done this without her. She's an 11/10 and highly recommend her for every wedding! -

Latasha was great to work with! We were living about 3 hours away from KC for almost all of our wedding planning, so I knew that I was going to need some extra help! Latasha was the answer! It was like talking to a long lost friend on the phone. (We met the day of our rehearsal dinner.) She worked tireless to make our wedding great! She came up with inventive ideas about where stuff should go and took charge of our day! I really can't say enough good things about her! I have no idea if anything went wrong because she was constantly handling it! Simply Amazing and very affordable! -

In the beginning I never thought I would want or need a DOC and that I could do everything myself or get help from family. Then I realized how many details there are and I needed help with ideas on how to execute them. That's where LaTasha comes in. Then I realized, I really don't want my family/guests to "work" I want them to enjoy the day with me.
If you need advice, ideas, you're freaking out - she'll help more than you can imagine. She even has items for you to rent or borrow, she makes you feel like you are her only client.
Some details of my wedding, I'm like.. how did that happen or who took care of that? Things I would worry about before, I didn't even think about the day of! LaTasha is like a genie, and it felt like she was always there when I needed her. (Also, super organized and has her stuff together)
If you think it isn't in the budget to hire her, MAKE ROOM. I love LaTasha, she is completely worth it!!! -

I was very excited to hire a day of coordinator to take care of some of the stress on the wedding day, but LaTasha went above and beyond! She was especially helpful at our rehearsal. Our officiant had never performed a wedding before so she was there to help us out and show us how to do everything. She was a life-saver! Her attention to detail is fantastic. She was on top of everything for the entire day. She helped with decorations, clean up, timing and making sure everyone was where they were supposed to be. I would 100% recommend LaTasha! I don't know what we would have done without her! -

I hired Latasha because she was another African American and based on our phone conversations she was professional and super nice. I was a bit annoyed that when she came to my wedding venue and started to act like she was running the show. I had multiple people come to me complaining. Originally at my wedding, she was supposed to have a mic but things changed. She then proceeded to yell and cause a scene in front of my guests and yelling at my wedding coordinator. My father actually had to step in. For someone who is supposed to be professional, that was totally unacceptable and sometimes things change so we go with the flow. The ceremony also took a bit longer and it was hot.. I even remember at one point telling her to hurry up because there were unnecessary pauses and sentences being drawn out. I vibed with Latasha on the phone but in person, it was not good. I definitely would not re-hire again.
