The best!

Very professional and elegant. We lucked out because we literally had the whole place to ourselves! I also loved that I did not have to deal with the headache of having to seek out other vendors for catering, DJ, photography etc. because they included that in their package. We just had to select from their vendors. A quote from our guests, "One of the best weddings I've been to!" :)

Best Company for one stop shop

Had my Catering, Decor & all my vendors from The Sterling for my Chateau event. Everything was perfect, people loved the appetizers and my wedding stage. Thank you to the entire team.

Sweet Sixteen

We had our twins sweet sixteen here last night. We could not have been more pleased. From the day we signed up with them to the Maitr'd who ran the party everything was perfectly perfect.

As good asbthe food and room wasnthe people that work there are fabulous. Highly recommend for your next party

Phenomenal!!

Max and I really enjoyed working with everybody at The Sterling. Yama, Raj, and Poojaa were super flexible, always reliable, and genuinely interested in making sure we were happy every step along the way. Both my husband and I really valued their positive energy and spirit throughout the crazy wedding planning process. We truly could not have imagined a more perfect wedding weekend! Would 10/10 recommend them to any newly engaged couple looking for an all-inclusive wedding package. Poojaa made it so easy to coordinate our three events (which included both a full Indian wedding and full Jewish wedding), all our vendors, decor team, food, flowers, etc. In one word, they were phenomenal! Thank you to the entire team at the Sterling/Chateua La Mer for making our wedding more perfect than we could have imagined!!

Our wedding reception was great thanks to everyone at The Sterling!

We had our wedding reception here on Nov 18, 2018 and it was everything I would dream it would be. Sneha was so kind in helping us book the hall we wanted. Pooja was wonderful in helping us plan the actual event. She took time to sit down with us multiple times to help us plan the event and included all the small details I wanted. Even if I had changes she was always very accommodating to change it to what I liked. On the day of our actual event, we had the pleasure of working with Taylor, our Maitre'd. She was simply amazing in helping coordinate the reception. I was so worried that certain things wouldn’t go as planned and she was so positive and helpful in making sure everything went according to the itinerary and to the way we wanted everything to be. We were very lucky to have had her coordinate that day. Our guests loved the food, the staff, and overall ambience of the venue. All in all, I would definitely recommend this venue to anyone planning a party! Thank you for making my reception so wonderful and memorable!!

This past weekend, we had our daughter's Sweet Sixteen party at The Sterling. It was everything we had hoped it would be. Visually stunning, no detail was spared to create the perfect ambience. The candles matched the theme perfectly. The lighting was beautiful. Everything looked so elegant.

The cold displays (antipasto, vegetable crudité, fruit, melon carvings, salads, etc.) were gorgeous and enticing. Everything was fresh and delicious. The wait staff walked around offering assorted appetizers, all of which were tasty. Likewise, the entrées were all delectable and we received positive feedback from our guests. The portions served were rather small. However, one needed only to ask for more if so desired. My husband asked the waiter to "keep it coming" with one dish and he obliged without complaint.

Our maître d', Scott, was exceptional and ensured that everything went off without a hitch. He worked with us every step of the way and was professional, patient and helpful.

In arranging for the party, we met with Taylor, Bill and Diane and each were great in making suggestions and helping us to stay on track with the preparations. They were all top-notch and I commend their service.

I highly recommend this incredible place for all occasions and events. Our guests had an amazing time and complimented everything. You won't be disappointed having your next special event at The Sterling.

We couldn't have been happier with our choice of venue. Every detail was planned and our vision was executed to perfection. Since the time we started our conversations, Sneha and Pooja were very receptive and helpful for the entire planning period. They were very organized and asked for all our props, decorations, add-ons before time. Any last minute changes were also handled with complete ease. Michelle was our maitre d and she was a complete blessing! Improvisations to handle the event were taken care of immediately. For eg., our bouquets did not come with the stem cut last min, but that was handles. Our guest book was probably not very visible, so a sign was put up. All in all, they made sure we had nothing to worry about on our special day!!!

Hi! My husband and I had our wedding reception at The Sterling recently. The whole process was easy and seamless due to their efficient staff and most talented coordinator Poojaa. Poojaa was very helpful and was always available to answer my questions. On the day of my event my guests were all taken care of and i the bride was treated like a queen. To anyone who's looking for a hall to host their reception, look no further as The Sterling Caterers is the place to go. TRUST ME! We had our wedding reception @Sterling recently and this venue surpassed all expectations and executed flawlessly on the night of the event. The package offering helped us cut through having to work with various other vendors. As a result, the in-house catering was excellent, the decor was custom-designed to our delight and the event manager pulled together all resources on the day of the event to ensure all of our guests(~300) were well taken care of and our event went as smoothly as possible. Working with Pooja was an absolute delight as she paid attention to details throughout the planning phase and the main event. Moreover, Pooja was very patient, reassuring and transparent during the negotiation and planning process. More importantly, she knows the ins and outs of all event types, knows her audience and effectively knows how best to make suitable recommendations.
We are very happy customers of Sterling Caterers and would highly recommend this venue based on our entire experience from start to finish.

Jason and Julie were great! We were able to attend 2 tastings. We were thinking of going with crab cakes and Jason made them special just for us to try. Their prices were incredible for everything you get... food, drink, linens, china, staff, bartenders, wedding cake, etc. Their food was delicious and I highly recommend them. They were professional and responsive.

Julie and everyone at Sterling was awesome. They were flexible with us in creating our menu and vision for linen/décor. Also, they were WONDERFUL on the day of our wedding, so willing to help out, even with our toddler son who was cranky almost the whole day. They helped us feel so at ease, and everyone loved the food!

Sterling was awesome and I highly recommend them. They were upfront from the beginning and pricing and were always willing to work with my budget. On the day of my wedding, Sterling was there for us in more ways than one. They were pleasant, efficient and even helped out with our little one who was cranky during the reception. I really can't stress how great they were. Everyone loved the food, and we are just grateful to have had them their on our big day.

Diane was very professional with us and ultimately helped us with our planning. This is a great venue especially for weddings. Every single one of our guests had an awesome time. They staff worked with us and accommodated all our needs the best way they could.

I would highly recommend Sterling Caterers to caterer any event. They were very professional while treating us like old friends/family. They saw to our every need and request. The food was delicious. Everyone at the reception mentioned how much they liked the food. Sterling Caterers employees were very helpful and always had a smile on their face. It was a perfect event for me and my wife at Sterling. They made the best day of my life totally perfect. Everything from entrance to exit was simply amazing. Staff and caterers were simply outstanding. Food was just about the best I have ever had. Just a fabulous event for us throughout. Sterling catered our wedding reception for about 190 guests. Everyone RAVED about the food, and the staff went OUT of their way to ensure that every little detail was covered for us. We could not have asked for a better experience. Since they are inclusive, there are no hidden costs- what you see is what you get. Linens, china, cake, centerpieces, etc were ALL part of the per person cost which made budgeting SUPER easy! Julie was sure to be available for us to drop stuff off to her on MANY occasions, and she was very fast in responding to my questions or concerns. Sterling caters on and off premises- so no matter where you're having an event consider them!

Sterling Caterers did one fantastic job for my daughter, Amanda and her husband, Ian's "Maryland Wedding Welcome Home!" She catered to the theme of " Maryland our Maryland" and even made homemade Fresh Fruit Platter, Maryland Crab Dip, Grimmel Farm Corn Salsa/Chips, Maryland Crab Soup, Fresh Green Salad, Maryland Fried Chicken, Macaroni and Cheese Bar with Old Bayand Fixings, Harford County Beef and some Polish Pieroges and everyone so enjoyed the menu! Sterling Staff was positive, punctual and so professional. They did the set up and the food presentation was excellent to say the least! Julie, the owner, was even there at the venue to oversee her staff. Both the bartender and the servers served food and drink with smiles to every guest! Without a doubt, I would recommend Sterling Caterers for any shower, wedding, dance, or fundraising event as she does a beautiful job and works with you to make the food statement both delicious and personal to your day! Everyone told me how much they enjoyed the meal!! Loved the day and the caterer definitely made the meal!!! Outstanding!

Sterling was fantastic! The food was delicious and they take care of all the details for you! They are amazing value as they include in their packages food, drinks, table centerpieces, and a delicious wedding cake. They also took care of all the set up of table numbers/seating assignments/candles and other small details I had purchased. They made sure the whole day ran smoothly from start to finish and cleaned up afterwards, making sure I got all of my additions back safely packaged. I never had to worry about a thing. I would highly recommend them for any occasion.

Sterling Caterers is top-notch! I met with Julie twice before my big day to discuss all the details and she and her team made sure everything was perfect. The food and drink was great and budget-friendly.

Sterling provided much more than just food and drink. They set up my cake, centerpieces, favors, flowers and guestbook. They went above and beyond. They made sure my husband and I were happy (and had a drink in our hands!) throughout the entire night. The service was outstanding.

They were also incredibly helpful in taking everything down and packing it up after the wedding.

I can't say enough about Sterling. Truly a wonderful experience.

I had wedding on March 23 2014 at The Sterling, words cant even explain how amazing their service & staff is. The night of my party I did not have to worry about anything. Pooja, Yama and their staff was wonderful, anything I needed I got. The location and their prices are very affordable. The decor is to die for !!!! Their food is the best too !!!!

I can't say enough good things about Sterling caterers. Julie catered our wedding which was held at our church's fellowship hall. It was an older building, and once Julie and her assistant were finished it was transformed! Everyone, including our pastor, who had worked there for several years, couldn't believe how beautiful Julie made everything look. I really liked working with her because she was so calm and organized throughout the process. "Oh you don't have name cards, that's fine I'll make you some" "oh you need a high chair? I'll bring one over before we sit down." I never once felt flustered or rushed or worried before or during the reception. She helped me sneak out to my car and back into the house without seeing my husband!

The food was delicious, our cake was beautiful, and the prices were very reasonable (about $40/per person less than other companies had quoted me).

Julie and her team were simply amazing. The food was outstanding, and they set everything up for us so that was one less thing to have to worry about on the day of. Julie was super responsive whenever I had any questions, and was very patient when my mother-in-law kept wanting to make changes to the menu... lol. The pricing was right too and they saved us a ton on a wedding cake. Go with Sterling... you can't go wrong!

Sterling was fantastic! Our wedding was so beautiful and I really loved that so many things were included in our package. They organized the hall, the tables, the cake, the centerpieces, the DJ...everything! It was so nice having those things taken care of for us. We used the Jarrettsville Gardens hall and the room looked so wonderful. Everything was seamless and the day could not have gone any better! Julie from Sterling was incredibly helpful. She was very knowledgeable and had a lot of really good input. She was organized, flexible and helped to make our day very special. Thank you Sterling!!!

The staff at the Sterling were absolutely wonderful, accommodating, knowledgeable and totally accessible thru the entire process leading up to and during our wedding. EXCELLENT in all ways. Price, service, food. Julie was a delight to work with and very responsive to requests. She even went out of her way to drop off the linens early to help out the person who was doing the wedding planning. The food and service was beyond expectations. We had an outdoor wedding and they really helped to make the day special!!

We opted for one of the packages at sterling bethpage because of the great value & its "all inclusiveness". This was one of the best decisions we made, as we spent no more than 2 hours selecting all of the food, and decor for our events...after which Sterling took care of the rest. Because of this, the days leading to, and the day of, our wedding was extremely stress free and we were able to enjoy our event & guests to the max. Mr. Raj, Yama, Puja, and the entire staff did a great job of planning, and coordinating. Puja for one did an phenomenal job with our reception and was always 2 steps ahead of us to ensure everything went smoothly. Our guests were simply amazed at how beautiful the hall looked. Sterling was referred to us by a friend who used them for her daughter's wedding. She loved working with Julie and I couldn't agree more. Julie helped us figure out, not only the menu, but also the linens (which for some reason was a hard decision), centerpieces, and a million other little things that came up. The food was wonderful, and I would just like to thank Sterling Caterers for their incredible service. They helped make our wedding absolutely perfect.

I had my daughter's Sweet 16th birthday there on 3/30/13. From day one Yama and his staff was friendly, helpful and supportive to all of our needs and wants. The place is beautiful and inviting. I wish I had more daughters so that I can have there party here too.

Nice place! The staff is pretty good and the food and decor was great as well. However, they messed up on my wedding cake.I ordered a 3 tier with red flowers but I got pink flowers instead and the design was a little different. I didn't realize until after the wedding. Overall I would recommend them.

Diane from The Sterling Caterers as well as her staff went above and beyond to make our wedding day the most memorable for our families, guests and as well as for us. From the planning of menu to the decor, they really made us feel like family. We were able to have the entire place to ourselves without another party going on in the next room, which made it very personal for us as well as our guests. All the vendors that were in house were highly professional and catered to our every needs that we wanted for our special day. To this day, our guests and families are still raving about our wedding. They loved the pictures, music, food, flowers, the staff, etc. Overall, I highly, highly recommend The Sterling Caterers to help host and plan your event. You will not regret it.

I have nothing but positive things to say about Sterling. They were wonderful in every way. The food was excellent and the service was amazing. Jason went above and beyond to make sure my guests and I were nothing but happy. We had a couple of odd requests and they were completely accommodating. I could not have asked for a better catering team! It poured on our wedding and Jason and his team handled all the changes with ease. They kept me laughing and helped me to see the beauty in the day no matter what the weather happened to be. I strongly recommend using them. :-)

Sterling recently catered our wedding and provided us with a perfect experience, from start to finish! Their professional, yet amiable demeanor and personalized attention let us feel like we were their only clients. They listened to every detail that we wanted for our reception; including appetizer, menu, drink, and linen options, with total set-up and break-down, all from a very friendly staff. They worked seamlessly with our DJ and venue coordinator. Finally, as the bride, I was concerned about my very sensitive food allergies. The staff and chef listened to every detail and provided me with a delicious meal that I felt confident eating. Two weeks later, our guests are still raving about the food! Thank you Sterling!!!!

I wish I had met Julie sooner in my Wedding Planning--it would have made a lot of decisions a whole lot easier for me! She was a dream! Sterling Caterers made some of the best "wedding food" my family and friends have had in a long while (in fact, I still hear about the mashed potato bar and crab cakes today). Their patience with in dealing with my many (and I mean many) food allergies, and making special vegan dishes for my sister and her date went above and beyond the call of duty. Julie was amazing to work with on the Day of my Wedding, and kept her cool even though the air conditioner broke at my reception hall. She and her staff were amazing to my guests and kept everyone at ease and comfortable despite the over 90 degree day! I can not thank them enough for the wonderful job they did! I highly recommend them!

Sterling is a fantastic catering company! The food is great and the prices are reasonable. Sterling offers a good variety too. Packages are available to add bar service, hors d'oeuvres, cake, florist, dj, etc., and we opted for all of these services. It was nice to not have to "shop around" for these services.

Both Julie and Jason are wonderful to work with too! They are very responsive, knowledgeable, and friendly. The staff was very attentive at our reception and everyone enjoyed the food! I would recommend Sterling and will keep them in mind for future events as well.

Sterling Caterers was on the approved vendor list for our reception site. By far, Sterling had the best prices of anyone else on the list. When we went for one of their tasting events we were very impressed and happy with our decision to use them for our wedding date. Jason was always very responsive to all of my emails and questions and was great to work with. We also used the DJ service and baker through Sterling and got a great deal with the DJ. When we arrived at our reception I was beyond amazed! Jason set up everything how I requested and everything looked fantastic! The food was incredible! Everyone loved it and I'm still getting compliments! The wait staff were so friendly and helpful and I couldn't have asked for more! Also, the baker that Sterling uses is wonderful! The cake was gorgeous and was the best cake I've ever tasted! I highly recommend Sterling Caterers of Jarrettsville!

Jason and the Sterling Catering Staff did an excellent job catering our wedding! They were very professional (even in the heat - and it was hot!). The staff did an excellent job making sure that the head table had all they needed and wanted. The food was excellent too, of course!
Not only was the service and food excellent on our big day, but Jason and the rest of the staff at Sterling caterers where always available for questions and really made us feel important. They even did an excellent job working with my parents who are 5 hours away!

This was absolutely a fabulous most lenient place that I found. They offer fantastic all inclusive packages which make wedding planning a breeze and the prices are great. The manager at the time of my wedding was very flexible and threw in extras just for the hell of it. It is a one story place so that disabled people dont have to worry about getting around everything was on the first floor. The videography at my wedding is actually used for the promotional video for the venue and we had a blast!

Jason at Sterling Caterers was wonderful. Not only was he and his staff professional during the wedding and reception, the food was fantastic and they were more than willing to work with our little non-traditional requests. We decided to go with the buffet style dinner which gave us the most amount of food for our money, and the price was very reasonable as well. What blew me away is that Jason personally brought out refreshments to all of the wedding party during the formal photos session. When you have a 2 young children it was a definite life saver! Although we didn't go with their offered centerpieces they were more than happy to help arrange all the tables with our centerpieces as well as favors and other table decor. It made setting up a breeze! However, we did go with their included baker and hired the DJ service through them. It saved us big time!

I had the Sterling as the venue for my daughter's wedding on April 6th 2018. I was apprehensive at first, but thank my stars i stayed with my decision and had one amazing nite for my daughter. The food, deco, assistance before, during and after the event was exemplary. I was accommodated in every way. Everything was top notch. it would be unfair if i mentioned only a few names. Everyone contributed to make this a fantastic event. These are not only mine but also my guests' sentiments; this make it even better.

I recently had my engagement party at The Sterling and it absolutely surpassed my expectations! I first met with Sneha who was very accommodating and helpful with planning my party on such short notice. I worked with Pooja on all of the details and her expertise really took my party to the next level. She had amazing ideas that as bride I had overlooked. We had our wedding here last weekend, and we had an amazing evening. All my party guest thought the wedding was great, and the vendors that came with the package exceeded our expectations. Our Maitre D was very attentive to our needs, and made sure the bride's day went smoothly.

The property was gorgeous, and they allowed me to incorporate some small details that I wanted for the wedding. They also were attentive to our guest that had dietary restrictions on food they could and could not eat.

I wish I could only take half a star off, but the only small issue we had is that we couldn't meet the minimum number of guest that we signed our contract for and were hoping they would throw something in to make up for empty seats we paid for. They however stuck to the contract since it was a package, which I can't fault them on, however if they would have thrown a small extra in there I would have easily given them a full 5 stars for going above and beyond.

Overall we had a wonderful evening, all my guest say the same thing as well, and I would easily recommend them to my family and friends.

I loved the venue and it was gorgeous! They had a very nice selection of food and it was Halal, which was a must. I couldn't fit everything I wanted on the menu so they had the chef prepare separate dishes for just me. It was great.

I had my wedding here in July of 2011 and was super impressed. I chose this place because I liked the all-inclusiveness of the package along with the affordable price and that all the vendors and services were included. I have to say that everything went wonderfully. Diane made wedding planning a breeze. The chapel and grounds were decorated beautifully. The one floor style was perfect for our guest in a wheelchair and took our stress about that away. The cocktail hour was a great mix of different foods and we had plenty of room both indoors and outdoors. The main hall room was beautiful. The waterfall background looks great in our pictures and the food was really good. The matre de John was so attentive and wonderful as was our bridal attendant. Overall the day went flawlessly and I would highly recommend this place for your event.

Our experience at The Sterling was superb. From our first visit to inquire about our wedding , to all the arrangements in between . Everything was handled in the utmost professional manor. Yama , Pooja , Sneha , Taylor and the rest of the staff were extremely helpful and accommodating to all of our requests. Pooja deserves a very special thank you as she took care of providing our families and friends , with a beautiful evening on April 2nd 2016. We commend her professionalism and her attention to every detail of the party. All of our guests raved about every aspect of our wedding!

I loved the sterling our wedding was beautiful. The only thing was I wish we could have slowed down the time. I still have people coming up to us saying it was the best wedding. The food was delicious. My only issue was my cake was different then what we had ordered it was suppose to be a cascade of flowers and instead it was one town of roses like 6 that went straight down. Other then that it was great. Loved the bridal suite and the way we were treated.

My husband and I got married on December 16, 2012 and our reception was held at The Sterling. The Sterling is a wonderful place to have a wedding. We had an all inclusive package with them, which included the DJ, centerpieces, photographer and videographer. The packages The Sterling offered made it so much easier for us to afford to have the wedding we wanted and we didn't have to go crazy trying to find outside vendors. The Sterling is beautifully decorated on the inside and outside. The grounds are beautifully lit with lights at night which makes for wonderful picture taking. The food was wonderful and the service was impeccable.

We mostly dealt with Sneha and Pooja. I think pooja did an excellent job in overseeing our wedding event. Sneha is one of the owners of the company and she is very humble and polite in dealing with her clients. The food was really good and our guests were really happy with it.

First thing is first, every wedding is different, just like every couple is different. My wife and I went to about 4 different venues before we picked our reception location, The Sterling. We fell in love with the ambiance, the crystals and the antique style they had throughout the building. Ended up going to two food tastings, and both where great. Their chef, Roy, did an amazing job every time, and the way he wraps the potatoes in a crepe is genius. Now talking business, we had a budget and were paying off the wedding ourselves. Their packages were one of the best things that ever happened to us. It included, the venue, the limo, the DJ, the photographer and videographer, the cake, and the whole set up for the day of the wedding. It is really a no-brainer, all you need to do is keep on top of your to do list. My opinion is to deal with all of the staff at The Sterling, each and everyone of them have their own great qualities. Planning a wedding is not easy, be ready for a fight, and don’t give up. Conclusion being, our wedding at the sterling was amazing, we had so many compliments, our Matrade Damian also did a great job the night of the wedding. A big thanks to everyone at The Sterling!

I feel like I should write 2 reviews but the end result was delicious food at my wedding reception with lots of compliments from our guests. We chose the Stations options since we were not at all impressed with the food or staff that was presented at the food tasting. Julie and her staff were great the day of the event and Julie was very flexible leading up the event as far as menu options. She's also very up front as far as cost and it ended up being a great value. I would recommend Sterling Catering.

I had my daughters Sweet 16 here last year they were very friendly and professional the night of the party I was given a maitre'd he was on top of everything even made sure my drink was full at all times. It was a great day the photographer treated my daughter like it was her wedding day and took beautiful pics. The dj was awesome kids danced all night long food was as good as buffet food can be. Hall was set up great even though I had to pay extra for chair covers it was worth it to look the way I wanted. They allowed my brother to decorate their centerpieces to our liking and theme and all in all it was a great night. Perfect sweet 16 place it's not to my surprise everyone uses their hall but they should get more center pieces so every kids party doesn't seem the same

We worked with Jason with the planning and paperwork prior to the wedding. He was quick to respond and always clear in his responses.

Also, the food tastings are free, and you are able to go to more than one, as you wish.
The food was great, the services, great, and they were very flexible with changes we made as we went along.

We had a cold meal and did not include drinks, so the price was very reasonible for 190 guests.

I was married at The Sterling on February 20, 2015. From the moment I met with Diane the event coordinator she was completely professional. I felt speaking with her made the whole process easy. A financial plan was set up for payment that was easy to follow. In addition, because The Sterling offers an all-inclusive plan, my now husband and I were offered flowers, lighting and decor, DJ, photography/videography, catering, wedding cake and limo. For the price we paid and little to no headache finding multiple vendors The Sterling provided the best option for us. Our Maitre'D John was amazing and was essential to keeping things flowing. The Sterling was decorated beautifully and the food was delicious. We loved our name in lights on the dance floor.

As for the additional vendors, I cannot comment fully on the videography/photography as we have not yet had received our pictures. However, Duval photography, was completely professional. As for the DJ, After Hours Entertainment, we did not like the service provided as the various genre of songs we requested were not played and most of my guests (my husband and I as well) were disappointed with the DJ. The limo was adequate for our needs.

Our wedding and reception was amazing. The decor and how smoothly everything went was a blessing thanks to the staff at the Sterling. They truly made our day amazing!

The Sterling Caterers was excellent my main problem with this place is the Valet parking, I was there Saturday 7/28/18, I don't know how long they have been in business but by know you will guess retrieving your car from the Valet parking should be easy.
1) No organization at all ( no line, not first come first serve none of that just a total mess.
2) Some of the workers were taking "bribes" from the customers to bring their car first, while waiting to be taking care of I noticed a few people just went straight to the workers gave then extra tip to bring the car first without waiting on line or waiting their turn.
1) I gave my ticket and tip (only 2 dollars) at the same time to one of the workers, I waiting over 10 minutes for my car to arrive, I proceeded to question where was my car all I heard from the workers was I don't know.
Bottom line after waiting another 5 minutes, I decided to stand on the way and block all out going traffic to force the issue, still workers did not care. after about 5-8 minutes of blocking outgoing cars ONE of the workers asked for my plate number, went to search for my car and came back to get the keys from the panel. SO it looks like the person that took my ticket was not happy with my 2 dollars and decided not to get my car.The person that received my ticket was about 5'.8" (my height) straight hair dark or mestizo completion. The person that finally helped us is about 5'2" short curly hair I believe he spoke Spanish
I 100% believe the CHAOS helps all the workers because they are willing to take brides or large tips in order to get someone car first. They were allowing people to go into the panel and take their own keys, they have not control of anything and this opens up the chance for anyone to drive with someone's else car
I was there as a guest but needless to say I will never use this venue neither would I recommend this venue to anyone, after a great night this issue ruins your whole night.

Overall the experience at this catering hall was elegant and they have a beautiful room with waterfall accents and great lighting features. I would recommend to have your wedding here.

I was really in love with this place and instead of listening to the reviews I decided to contact them anyway to ask my own questions. They read my message then took two days to respond. The inflation percentage is true so beware. I requested more information and again they read my message and took two days to reply,they requested more information. I sent it immediately and haven't heard from them since, that was over a week ago. Communication is key for me and their lack of communication shows that they are not a respectable venue to deal with. I'm assuming they are reluctant to work with me because I called them out on how they kept people money during this pandemic. BEWARE!!!!!!

Very poor Experience

Very poor quality of service. Bathrooms have cold water, lobby very very cold, Cutlalery, glassware were very dirty, When point out to management they claimed they washed them but they were not and not enough staff to look during my daughter in law babyshower event.

Do not book with them at any cost!v

DO NOT BOOK! This is an unethical business. They are not offering refunds due to COVID19 and not being accommodating to any clients. My other venue such as CREST HOLLOW COUNTRY CLUB gave us FIVE years to rebook our event on ANY DATE WITHOUT AN INFLATION IN PRICING. THAT'S CALLED A GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!! THE STERLING is forcing people to keep there bookings along with an INFLATION PRICE for each year ahead. Take this and all other reviews seriously or you'll be losing your money in the long run. This is a WORLD pandemic and they are basically stealing consumers money by NOT working with couples and giving them a hard time to BOOK their once in a life time SMOOTH JOURNEY!!

Disrespectful and poor customer support during COVID

Very unprofessional in the setting of COVID. They refuse to give us refunds and are very unaccommodating when it comes to rescheduling. My poor niece was getting married here this summer and these people have been nothing but headaches to us all. Yama is particularly rude and inconsiderate- yells at his customers and clients on the phone and is just disgustingly unprofessional. On top of that, they are charging 5% price hike if you want to reschedule to 2021 and 10% to 2022. We asked if we can pick a later date in the fall and with a lower headcount in compliance with NYS regulations and they will still not give us the refund and are making us pay for the FULL guest list when we have cut if down by 50%. That is outrageous! Please do not book with them. There are so many other better more professional venues in the area that are willing to work with clients without charging them extra or taking their money from them like this. These people are stealing their poor clients money and are outright liars. Stay away.

Disorganized, Poor customer support during COVID

Do NOT book here especially with the COVID crisis. They are handling this situation poorly. They claim they need a 5% fee for postponing to the next calendar year (its not like my salary goes up 5% every calendar year...). Also they will keep telling you they will work with you based on the circumstances and the current situation but they are LIARS. please do not fall for their lies. My friends have booked at several venues around the area- Chateau briand, Hyatt Regency in Jersey City, Worlds Fair Marina, Leonards Palazzo - none of which is charging a fee to reschedule later. A lot of my friends are getting married soon so of course I told them to stay away from Sterling! Do not make the mistake I made.

Unprofessional, liars

DO NOT BOOK! This is an unethical business. They are not offering refunds due to COVID19 and forcing people to keep there bookings along with an inflation price for each year ahead. I made a HUGE mistake booking with them. The owner's daughter Sneha Raj Gogia is actually a lawyer herself and I am hiring a lawyer now to fight them. Both Sneha and her brother Yama are the ones who run this scam business and Yama is nothing but rude and does not put himself in the shoes of his clients. He was yelling at me on the phone threatening me to hire legal services against the Sterling. It even says in their own contract that the agreement can not be broken unless its "an act of God." Its not like COVID was started because of me. This is a global pandemic and if this isn't an act of God I don't know what is. They should be ashamed that in this global pandemic they are stealing consumers money with no regard for the consumers own financial status. These people are crooks. Its not like they are a fancy 5 star venue either. They have so much to lose by acting this way to their customers. I could go on and on about their corruptness. I was going to have over 500 people at my event and each of them will know about the corruptness of this venue and their inability to cooperate with their clients in these dire times. They will feel a loss for sure.

Proceed with caution on hiring this vendor for your event.

With just a few months to go until our wedding, my fiancé and I had to reach out with some questions that needed to be resolved before invitations were printed, and Julie (owner) became particularly hard to reach and was not at all helpful or interested in dealing with us. Just a month later in early May, she reached out via email to inform us that she "merged" with a local caterer, and that we would need to sign a new contract with them. As we began to do a little digging, we found out that Sterling had actually "merged" with this new company several months prior to us receiving this email, and other brides and events had been informed months before we were about these changes. The details of the "merger" are particularly sketchy, and we have been given no answers to our many questions. After several email exchanges with no info provided to us, we asked Julie for the return of our deposit so that we could move on from this and find a caterer of our own choosing (and on our approved vendor list from our venue), she stopped responding and we are still left with no response at all from her from her a few weeks later.

The way this situation was handled has been completely unprofessional and shady, and I do not wish this frustration or anxiety on any bride, or anyone planning a special event.

If you're looking to work with a catering company that will be organized, up-front, professional, and honest, Julie and Sterling Caterers are not your go-to. There are plenty of other Harford County catering options that are just as willing to work with your budget, serve great food, and will not sketch out on you a few months shy of your wedding.
