I live in Florida and actually came up to Atlanta because two of the dresses I wanted to try on were in the city, one at the Sentimentalist. I'm so glad I made the trip and that this was the place where I got my dress. I went to three Atlanta bridal boutiques and this was easily the most professional, beautiful, and friendly. You can definitely get a classic white wedding gown here, but this is definitely the place to go if you want something unique. They are also friendly to all body types! I had fallen in love with Carol Hannah's Oceane gown but wanted some changes made to make it my own, and they made it happen, and also were quick to respond when I had a tailoring crisis with my dress (long after I bought it!) Can't recommend them highly enough.

Wedding Dress Dreams
My wedding dress shopping experience was top tier. I had an amazing time trying on various dresses as The Sentimentalist Team is full of humans who love weddings and helping brides find their dream dress. There were many beautiful dresses and accessories that you cannot find at just any bridal shop. I LOVED my dress and it was perfect for my October 2023 wedding at Lanier Islands. 10/10, definitely recommend.

Low Maintenance Vibe, Amazing Listeners
Myself and my 3 guests had the most lovely time at The Sentimentalist. They are a very no pressure shop but are able to actually hear and listen to your wants and preferences to help you find the perfect dress. They have a wide variety of dresses with a very low maintenance vibe, so definitely give them a chance if you are in the Atlanta area and shopping for wedding dresses.

Amazing experience
Shopping at The Sentimentalist was one of the best decisions I made concerning my wedding dress! I am a queer, nonbinary person, and the shopping experience was a little intimidating. Reading reviews for The Sentimentalist and seeing the both timeless and off-the-beaten path attire they offered were what drove me to make an appointment, and I’m so glad I did! Everyone on the staff, and especially my stylist, were super kind, patient, respectful of all genders/races/bodies/budgets, and knowledgeable. The shop itself is beautiful and the selection of dresses has something for everyone. I would recommend them to absolutely everyone!!

The Sentimentalist was the perfect place to find my wedding dress! I felt empowered and listened to throughout the dress selection process, and I felt even more beautiful on my big day. Most Amazing Experience!!
I cannot say enough amazing things about my experience at the Sentimentalist in finding the most dreamy dress for my wedding back in January. Both Gigi and Hannah were angels for all their support and help to find the most amazing gown. I had the best time with the whole team there. I’ve gotten so many compliments, and my friends and family that came with me to the shop are always talking about how much they loved our visits. The sentimentalist is such a special spot!

Found my dream dress!
I wanted to try on wedding dresses from a specific designer, which is how I initially found The Sentimentalist. I am so glad I did! Hannah and her team were so helpful - including when I had to do a virtual measurement session before placing my final order, after I had emergency knee surgery! My dress arrived on time (actually a few days early)! Cannot recommend them enough!

Best Dress Shopping Experience!
I tried on 50 (no kidding) wedding dresses at various national brand and small owner bridal shops. Nothing made sense until I went to the Sentimentalist. Phae listened and worked with me to find the perfect, unique, and comfortable dress. I never felt pressured to buy something or make a rash decision. In fact, I came back a month later because I still couldn't get the dress out of my mind and there was nothing else like it out there. Best Wedding Dress Shop in ATL
The Sentimentalist, and specifically my stylist Hannah, made dress shopping fun, stress-free and one of the more memorable wedding planning experiences. My mom, mother in law and sister all came with me and The Sentimentalist made us feel so special and heard. The process for actually getting my dress was super easy and they recommended a great alterations place. Can't recommend them enough!

Perfect place to shop for a wedding dress in ATL!
I had such a lovely experience with The Sentimentalist from my initial appointment through my wedding! I came in, only knowing vaguely what I wanted and how I wanted to feel and they nailed it! Their collection is stunning and unique - it was different than the other bridal stores I had been too. Their staff made me feel so welcome and as we went through the appointment did such an incredible job of narrowing down the dress! I did not feel pressured to purchase, but after leaving empty handed, I went to lunch, canceled appointments at my other stores because I knew I had found the dress!! I just got married this May and truly felt like I had the perfect dress for me ! It was so fun showing my husband and family and friends and I treasure being able to get married in it! Would have never even known to look for it had it not been for the wonderful staff at the Sentimentalist directing me to it!!!!

Bottom line up front, The Sentimentalist is everything and more. I tried a few different shops in the ATL metro area but not a single one could compare, not even a little. The shop itself is an entire mood- great lighting, relaxed, huge individual try-on space for you and your guests, and very welcoming overall. The gowns are unique, highly customizable, handmade by smaller designers, but still priced competitively- so if you are looking to support smaller businesses, and stand out/avoid looking like every other bride on your wedding day, you've found the right shop. I visited with many different staff during my dress buying experience, which was always seamless and never felt piece-meal, and responses to phone and email were super speedy. The staff was hands-down the MOST knowledgeable about everything compared to other shops I visited, and made me feel so welcomed and comfortable each time I visited; this shop is not lying when they tell you they are all about inclusivity and body positivity. Can't thank The Sentimentalist enough for their SUPERIOR service. 15/10 would recommend

Everyone I interacted with at the shop was just lovely and so helpful! They are true experts in what they do and listen carefully to your preferences and ideas. Best experience I could have asked for
From start to finish, best experience. Stylist knew the inventory inside & out, and was able to pick up on my sense of style very quickly. The store has such high quality, unique yet classic gowns at very reasonable prices. After ordering my gown, there was a mishap with the designer & Sentimentalist did there best to mitigate the situation. Despite the issue, I ended up purchasing two gowns from them and my perception of the store only improved by how they handled the issue! I trust Sentimentalist whole heartedly after my experience.

The BEST experience!!
I went to find my dress in January with my mom and sister (MOH). I had several ideas about what I wanted to try on but was very open to suggestions from my stylist! She picked out several dresses that I wouldn’t have thought to try on and I loved every single one of them! The dress I ended up choosing was only the 7th dress I tried on!! I wanted to elevate the dress itself by adding a second layer so my stylist chose a cape/robe to wear over my dress and it was PERFECT!! I cried and my mom and sister cried and we knew it was the one! We added a belt and it completed the look! I have gotten the MOST compliments on my dress by every single vendor we worked with and on social media. I cannot recommend them enough! It was one of my favorite days of wedding planning and I’m so grateful! The shop is so welcoming and lets you explore unique styles and I couldn’t have been happier! Thank you thank you!!!

My Favorite Store!
I went to five bridal shops and The Sentamentalist was BY FAR my favorite. Cailan was the one that helped me for my visit and she didn’t make me feel pressed for time, listened well to what I wanted, explained all the options for each dress and really allowed me to have fun in a stress-free environment. The stores I went to afterwards felt very unprofessional after such a pleasant visit at The Sentamentalist. The gowns are all so unique and beautiful. Unique, Amazing
After finding The Sentimentalist online, I decided to make the journey from NC to Atlanta just to shop. I had such a good feeling about it going in and I wasn't wrong! Riannan helped my find "my designer" and after only a few dresses I felt like she really did get me. I left with an idea of the mishmash of dress they worked to make it possible! Literally a game changer!
I can't thank the universe enough for The Sentimentalist. I had my first wedding dress appointment at A DIFFERENT BRIDAL SHOP and without getting into detail it was terrible.
When I got a phone call from the Sentimentalist saying that a spot had opened that afternoon, I was relieved - and hopeful that things would turn around, and boy did they.
Hannah was a saint. She was so knowledgeable about the entire collection, the different types of fabrics, fits and what I might be interested in. She made me feel so comfortable trying on things outside of my comfort zone and walked me through whatever I needed to find the perfect dress.
I'm pretty sure she knew which one I would end up with from the moment we started talking, but she allowed me to try on as many as I needed to get to that conclusion myself. I swear, she's a wedding dress wizard.
Once I was back in THE dress, Hannah gave me a full up-do so that I could try on my vail and get a real picture. She was comforting, and genuine and truly made me feel so beautiful. She is amazing.
Also, the Sentimentalist is so beautiful. The moment you walk in there is this vintage, zen and stunning vibe that hits you in the face. It's incredible and everyone that works there is amazing.
If you're the type of bride that doesn't think she can see herself in the standard stark-white poofy dress, the Sentimentalist will have what you're looking for and more. So elegant, different, unique and beautiful!

Wedding Dress Goals
The Sentamentalist will be your last stop while dress shopping, so I recommend you start here and save yourself time. I came to ATL to purchase my dress for my big day. After many bridal shops I knew I wanted a dress that I could dance in but that would still have a beautiful train for the ceremony. It seemed like I wouldn't be able to achieve both of these goals and assumed I would end up with a ball gown. Rhiannon listened to my wish list when it came to my dream wedding dress and she was able to pull several dresses that met this list. She was able to help me filter through gowns and really hone in on the most important things. But when she pulled out the skirt overlay that I could put on top of my fit-and-flare dress I realized I didn't have to compromise. Thank you for turning a component of wedding planning that I absolutely dreaded into an amazing experience and for helping me find the perfect wedding dress!

Incredible Experience
I cannot compliment this store enough! I had such an amazing experience looking for my wedding dress here. All of the staff were so friendly, upbeat, and helpful. Rachel, my consultant, was amazing and made the process so easy and fun. I ended up choosing a dress I never would have tried on on my own and that she pulled for me. She was very mindful of my budget and only pulled one dress above my price range after asking me twice if it would be okay and only because it was exactly the type of dress I was describing. She wasn’t pushy at all and was super understanding and supportive. The store as a great selection of unique dresses ranging from subtle to very unique. The prices were very reasonable and had sample sizes that you could purchase to help keep the price down. I had an overall wonderful experience and think every bride should check them out!

I had such an incredible experience here! I came specifically to look at the Dear Heart gowns. The staff was so kind. The space itself is so fun and has a cool vibe. They have such unique dresses, veils, and accessories to choose from - you can truly make your wedding day look just like you imagined. The BEST experience and the best array of dresses. I searched high and low between Birmingham and Atlanta and loved every bit of my experience at The Sentamentalist. Hannah brought my vision to life and understood what I was looking for better than every other salon I went to. The designers they choose are absolutely top notch. My dress is a dream! Everything was handled so safely and my family was well taken care of! Incredible atmosphere. The perfect place to find a classy or unique dress, or in my case, a little bit of both. And after the end of a day of searching, I swung back by and tried on the dress again. The BEST overall experience!!!!!!! Absolutely go!

Dream dress for a dream wedding

The PERFECT Bridal Shop for Beautiful, Unique, and Timeless Gowns!
My experience with The Sentimentalist began in 2018 when they were located at their original shop (a super cozy and beautiful cottage-style home). My stylist, Rachael, was incredible and made me feel so at home and comfortable. I was looking for a simple, classic, yet unique/ different wedding dress. Every other shop I went to (and I'm guilty of going to many shops in Atlanta) had the same inventory and designers. I didn't want delicate lace or beading or sequins. Rachael introduced me to a Laudae dress in 2018 and I was immediately hooked on the designer - it was just a little expensive. My husband and I postponed our wedding to 2020 to save a bit more money (little did we know it wouldn't matter because of Covid!!). I went back to The Sentimentalist (and Rachael) in 2019 and bought my customized Laudae dress - it was the best experience. I highly recommend The Sentimentalist for unique, beautiful wedding gowns + for the best customer service! Thank you, Rachael, and all for such a great experience :)

Amazing Service!
As a woman who has worked in the wedding industry for many years, I have always imagined how I wanted my wedding to go. So, when it came time to find my wedding dress I was a little nervous, as I have seen many wedding dresses and they all seemed the same to me. All lace, mermaid, and ball gown dresses. I wanted something different, something different to my eyes. The Sentimentalist gave me exactly what I was looking for! So many different selections and AMAZING customer service! I love everything they are about and how they conduct their busy. When they say low pressure they mean it, so relaxing and they are truly on the bride’s side! An Amazing One of a Kind Custom Dress UNDER $2000!
I cannot recommend the Sentimentalist enough! The store and dress selection are creative and eclectic for a bride that wants the look of something unique not just anything off the rack. I was so lucky to have a wonderful stylist who helped me find a dress I never would have picked from a trunk sale. After thinking about it for a few days I went back and was lucky enough to be paired up with the owner Gabi and wow she made my dreams come true! She talked me through any issues, pulled lace samples and even spoke with the dress designer during my appointment to help me make a one of a kind and amazing dress! I couldn't be happier and the whole process was easy and felt pressure free!

I had the best experience here!! I went to five other places and this was the best by far. Rhiannon was so kind and helped me feel so special and comfortable the whole time, which is something I don't normally feel when shopping. She was incredibly kind and encouraging! Dress shopping was my least favorite part of my wedding planning process ... until I came here! I want to go back just to hang out. All of the staff were sweet, helpful, welcoming, and fun! They even let me come back without an appointment the same day to let me try on my dress again so I could be sure! I would recommend them to EVERYONE!

Both my best friend and I got our dresses here, one year apart. We each got dresses that were unique to our own personal style and both an incredible experience. Best bridal boutique in the continental United States
I wish there was an option to give more than 5 stars. The best way I can describe the experience I have had so far with The Sentamentalist is MAGICAL. I had made two appointments for the same day to pick out my wedding dress and I was absolutely shocked at how different the appointments were. From start to finish The Sentamentalist, and Hannah in particular, made me feel so comfortable, understood and special. Hannah listened to everything I said and helped me choose dresses to try on that fit with my vision for my wedding day. I ended up choosing a dress that I would have never picked out without her help. Everything was done so professionally and carefully and I never felt pressured or rushed. My appointment at the other bridal boutique was terrible compared how I was treated at The Sentamentalist. They will walk you through every step of the process and answer all your questions and reassure you of any concerns. I honestly can’t imagine going anywhere else to choose a dress for your special day.

Found my dream dress
I would live at the Sentimentalist if I could. Seriously, the tea, the mimosas, the beautiful vintage luxe décor – it’s a dream. If you make an appointment, you get an entire dressing area to your party (bridesmaids, moms, whoever you bring with you) and a private fitting room where one of the employees hands you a dress one at a time and then helps you zip it up. I really liked the amount of privacy here (in contrast to other boutiques where the employees get into the dressing room with you along with all the dresses you want to try on – crowded!). Rachel helped me and was so attentive, knowledgeable, and just all around nice. She helped me find my dream dress (and headpiece!). The price points are surprisingly affordable considering the level of service here. Definitely visit if you want a memorable dress shopping experience (and pretty pictures)!

Such a great experience!
I recommend The Sentimentalist all the time. They had a great selection, and the experience was lovely. But the main reason I recommend them is that, after my initial appointment, I decided to order my dress in custom colors. When I went back to pick out the colors (and buy the dress), three or four consultants helped me compare swatches in different lighting for a half hour! They didn't charge me for that time. They were just that committed to making sure I got the perfect dress. And I did! (I'm just sorry I won't have a reason to shop there again.)

A dream from start to finish
As soon as I walked into The Sentimentalist, I felt a sense of calm in the chaos of wedding planning. The space is so beautiful and the staff are so welcoming - the mimosa punch also doesn't hurt!
My stylist Gabi really took the time to listen to what I wanted and provided exceptional recommendations. She also allowed me to browse through the racks with no pressure, whereas in other salons I have felt rushed. It was the perfect mix of her own suggestions and the freedom to look at anything that interested me.
I loved that the store was so inclusive and had a range of gowns to suit all kinds of tastes and budgets. Their range of accessories was also amazing, as i wanted to find something a little different to the usual veils, etc..
After I found my dress, I just wanted to hang out in the store because it was such a genuinely lovely atmosphere. I'm already excited to go back to pick up my dress.
Since purchasing my dress, their follow up and communication has also been excellent, letting me know what to expect, who to contact if there is an issue and providing a timeline of production. I haven't had a single question because they have been so thorough in their explanations.
If you find wedding dress shopping stressful or overwhelming like I did, make an appointment - immediately! You will not regret it.

The Sentimentalist was everything I was looking for in a bridal shop. The staff is all so accommodating and not pushy at all. First appointment could not have gone better!
I was so nervous to try on wedding dresses and I had no idea what to expect; however, my experience at The Sentimentalist could not have been better! Rhiannon was a perfect match for me and was able to take my indecisiveness and nervousness completely out of the equation. She was so great at moving quickly while also taking my feedback after each dress to eventually find my perfect dress! She came prepared to the appointment with information I’d previously filled out in the questionnaire and continued to ask great insightful questions to determine which dresses were going to be the best fit. She was able to explain why dresses I liked online wouldn’t provide me with what I wanted in a dress and she pulled dresses I wouldn’t have picked out myself but which ended up looking great on! She was also great at listening to my mom’s feedback while also focusing on me and making sure my thoughts were heard. Thank you Rhiannon for being so amazing!
The shop itself is gorgeous. I could’ve stayed there all-day watching women try on beautiful wedding dresses. The décor is a perfect blend of vintage with some industrial touches. The area to try on dresses felt large and private and I was so comfortable.
I can’t thank the team at The Sentimentalist enough for providing me with such an incredible experience of trying on wedding dresses. My first appointment and I found the dress – I still can’t believe it and I can’t wait to return when my dress arrives!

Start with these peeps!
After shopping at several locations I made an appointment here primarily because they had vintage dresses. Rhiannon was AWESOME. It was the bridal experience that I had been imagining in my head. She helped me find the perfect vintage dress (I attached some pics to the review), the perfect veil to match and set me up with an amazing seamstress that specialized in vintage gowns. I wasn't treated like I was 2nd rate just because I was shopping for a gown that was less expensive like other stores I'd been to. If you want an excellent experience GO HERE. They won't disappoint. Also, their shop is super cute. :)

My only regret, is that I didn't just go there from the start. I live in Nashville, so I traveled to Atlanta to visit. It was such a good experience. Hannah, who helped me, was so warm and professional. She found the perfect dress for me and understood my style. The kind of experience I always dreamed of!
I could go on and on about my experience at The Sentimentalist! From the moment you walk in, you feel at ease and comfortable by the beautiful atmosphere and great staff. Shop at the Sentamentalist!
When starting my bridal jumpsuit search, I was worried that “the one” wasn’t out there. There were grand photos of celebrities in beautiful white jumpsuits, but no matter where I searched, nothing quite fit the bill. Until I arrived at the sentimentalist. There I was greeted by smiling faces whose first goal was to understand exactly what look I wanted. We then looked through the options together, and they were very helpful in choosing items that they felt would work. They always were very creative in combining different pieces in a way I would not have considered on my own. In the end, I had a beautiful, hand-crafted jumpsuit that perfectly fit my vision. Their dedication to following through with your bridal desires/wishes is to be admired, and I’d recommend them to anyone - those looking for more traditional options as well as those who have different bridal tastes.

The Best Shop in ATL
I can't recommend The Sentimentalist highly enough! They were my first stop on my wedding dress journey, and every other experience was dull in comparison.
The shop is gorgeous and unique with a modern, industrial, but feminine vibe. The staff are warm and never made me feel like I had to make a purchase there that day, or even at all - Rachael really wanted me to find MY dream dress within my budget.
I ended up returning a week or so later and buying my Laudae gown. I got to try on the sample one more time and have some mimosa punch before I was measured, checked out, and out the door. It was quick and painless, and I've since received my email confirmation of the designer's timeline exactly as promised.

A delightful and special dress shop
I had such an amazing experience with the girls at The Sentamentalist. From the moment I stepped in the shop, I knew it was a special place. Gabi has such a great eye for details and dresses that may not seem impressive on the rack, but come alive on your body. There accessories are stuff made of fairytales. Amazing stylists and selection!
I love this dress shop so much that I find myself wishing I had their help every time I shop! Super attentive stylists, great price range, fabulous designers. It feels so warm and inclusive where other shops tend to feel intimidating and cold. Doesnt hurt that the store is BEAUTIFUL. This is the ONLY shop I visited (out of three) that respected my budget, and truly STYLED me. They go way beyond "how do you feel"/"is this the one" - Rachel pulled veils, walked me through customization options, and helped me imagine the whole thing. She had real feedback, too, which I didn't get from other shops who just wanted me to spend. I left stuck between two dresses, then got the flu twice and moved. They checked on me after they hadnt heard back to see what I was thinking and to be sure I enjoyed the visit! Again, no other shop did that. I told Rachel what I loved about each dress, and what the deal breakers were. She asked me to come back because she had some ideas. I met with Caitlin, we decided to COMBINE the two! What! Caitlin also called me to let me know the designer whose veils I loved was having a sample sale. I really encourage every bride to try this shop. They will make you feel beautiful, but also truly help you find the dress that will fit your style, your budget, and your bod. I can't wait to go back for pick-up and accessories!

Obsessed with the sentimentalist
I cannot rave about The Sentimentalist enough! I worked with Hannah, who pulled a TON of options for me. She kept asking questions to best gauge what I was looking for and was even so intuitive that she put me in the dress I chose very first! It was the first dress I was excited about after an appointment elsewhere and even though we continued to try others to be thorough, it was so nice knowing I had my dream dress. Also, she fully pinned me into each dress so I could see exactly how it fits, versus the first place that just put a couple clips on. I wish I could go back and do it again!

Wedding Dress Shopping at the Sentimentalist
The women at the Sentimentalist are nothing short of phenomenal. The shop is beautiful, the selection of dresses is varied, and the atmosphere is just wonderful. I was really nervous to go wedding dress shopping, but the ladies at the Sentimentalist made me so loved and beautiful! They were so respectful of my budget and helped me find my absolute DREAM dress (and a beautiful headpiece to match!).
The designers they stock are all so different and unique – their selection was unlike anything I saw at any other store (and I went to 3 others). Rachael was amazing when it came to picking out options; she picked up on my style right away. I didn’t try on a single gown I didn’t absolutely LOVE, which made my decision that much harder.
Everyone was so kind and accommodating and supportive. They helped me find an alterations vendor as well. We loved the experience so much, we went back for my mother’s outfit, and they helped her pick out a gorgeous raw silk jumpsuit that she looked just outstanding in.
I seriously cannot say enough positive things about the women at the Sentimentalist and my experience there. I encourage ANY bride of ANY size or style to make an appointment at this shop. Even if you don’t find your dress there, I promise you’ll have an amazing experience.

This bridal shop is by far the best in Atlanta. I visited quite a few others in my weekend of wedding dress shopping and nothing else compared to the atmosphere, customer service and beautiful selection at The Sentimentalist. My mom and I had an AMAZING experience searching for my dress with the sweetest consultant, Hannah! She did not make me feel pressured about anything and listened to all my wishes and dislikes. Best experience ever!
The Sentimentalist has a great selection of gowns - from boho to classic. Rhiannon made the appointment so easy and fun! She showed me a variety of dresses to help narrow down my style and then she picked the perfect dresses for me to try on. She kept things light and fun the whole time and was willing to hear my thoughts and opinions on each dress. She made me feel really special, and by the end of the appointment, I had my dream dress.
I cannot recommend this place enough! My whole family had a blast and it was a really fun day to remember.

The Sentimentalist is just the best place...
I cannot recommend this shop enough. The store itself is beautiful and full of thoughtful details to make the experience fun, relaxing, and special. Rhiannon was my guide through the sea of white silk and lace, and she is incredible. Since it was my first time wedding dress shopping, I walked in thinking that I had no clue what I wanted, but after telling her about my wedding and my aesthetic, she pulled some amazing pieces, one of which I fell IN LOVE with. I had another appointment at a different shop after this one, and there was just no comparison. I came back to The Sentimentalist immediately after the second appointment and bought the dress I loved. It was also surprisingly easy to make the changes I wanted (different color lining and the back lowered 2"). Overall, the selection is great, the prices are reasonable, and the ordering process was a piece of cake. Buy your dress here. You'll be happy about it.

So much love for Sentimentalist!
I loved my experience with the Sentimentalist. I purchased my dress from their old location, and hear the new shop is even cuter. It was a laid-back, personal, non-intimidating shopping environment, which I really needed as a nervous bride. I wasn't sure I would fit the Sentimentalist "image" (if there even is one), since I figured their dresses would be more Bohemian than my style. I was also nervous since I'm a curvy bride - size 10 in regular and 14 in bridal even after losing 40 pounds. Making it even tougher, I came in pretty sure I was going to purchase a dress from a different boutique. I was able to be open with the stylist about my insecurities, and the "other dress." She was so very patient with my indecision, and didn't pressure me at all. I slowly and tearfully(happy tears!) realized the last dress I tried one --which she actually picked --- was perfect for me. And no, it isn't all bohemian in there! The dress I picked was very traditional. It was so fun playing dress up with their accessories once I knew which dress was mine. Sentimentalist also made sure I had all the details they DON'T handle in store sorted out -- they recommended a great seamstress, great dry-cleaner, and even the perfect underwear. I would recommend them to anyone/everyone.

My experience at The Sentimentalist was fantastic! We had a relatively short engagement by today's standards (about 7 months), so I had a kind of tight timeline to find the dress and make sure it was ordered and here on time for alterations. The ladies at The Sentimentalist were so wonderful, they made the process easy and such a joy! Rhiannon was my stylist, and I genuinely loved everything she pulled. She listened to what I said I wanted but also threw some things out there that were a little more unexpected. Not only do they have the most beautiful gowns, but they also have amazing accessories. I ended up getting both my veil and a belt for my dress here. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a truly unique and beautiful dress as well as personalized and fabulous service, thanks ladies!

The Warmest, Most Welcoming Bridal Shop in ATL!
The Sentimentalist was my happy place during the wedding planning process! It was the second bridal shop I visited and so different from others from the first email to the minute I walked in. The staff is so friendly and knowledgable and knew exactly my style. I loved every single dress I tried on! Rhiannon took so much time with me and I never felt rushed. She really focused on finding something that I loved and felt beautiful in. I found my dress that first day and absolutely loved it. The dress came in so quickly and they were so accommodating when I came in to pick it up and search for accessories. I was so sad to leave because I just loved going in each time! It was such a warm, welcoming, and fun experience. I got so many compliments on my dress at the wedding and it was exactly what I wanted my dress to be. Thank you thank you for the best experiences!

I loved The Sentimentalist! Everyone was so helpful and accommodating. It is a special experience there because they only allow a 1-2 brides in at a time, so you get the best quality service and attention you need. They have alternative styles for dresses and truly beautiful dresses. I would recommend this shop to anyone who doesn't want the big ballgown or mermaid style dress.

I wish I could meet every single bride in the South (hell, in the WORLD) just so I could take their hands in mine, kiss them on both cheeks, and send them directly to The Sentimentalist. Rhiannon made what could have been a stressful, anxious day into an absolute joy. She is a complete sorceress - transforming admittedly lovely dresses into absolutely magical gowns through her incredible styling. She made my family comfortable and involved them in the dressing process. She LISTENED to everything I and my family said, showing her adaptability and professionalism as well as her delightful personality. I had two appointments made at other dress boutiques for the next day and cancelled them before walking out The Sentimentalist's doors, because together we created a gorgeous outfit that I, my husband-to-be, and my guests will remember forever. Everyone else I spoke to at the Sentimentalist was just as professional, just as fun, just as joyful as Rhiannon, and I am, honestly, jealous that I don't work there. My time at The Sentimentalist was a celebration, one I can't wait to continue when I go back for my fittings.

WOW! Not sure why I am just now getting around to this! When envisioning my wedding dress, The Sentimentalist was the perfect shop for me! At first I didn't know such a shop existed in Atlanta but after searching on Instagram and following people with the similar taste, I found this wonderful shop and I was literally set on where I was going to find my dress. I was helped by Rachael and she was so cool to work with. Very easy, laid back and gave her honest opinion. She gave all her attention to my appointment plus spent extra time with with us :) and really helped me bring all my ideas together! I ended up picking the third dress. It was so crazy because we were trying to create this vision in my head and Rachael help me realize that I had already tried on the perfect one! The process was far from stressful and the dress was so me. My day was beyond perfect and the dress added so much personality to it. We had a rustic, vintage wedding so the dress was like a statement piece without being overly dramatic. It laid perfectly on me and I felt so beautiful in it. I was seriously obsessed with my sleeves and the open back!! Even if your not looking for vintage, I highly suggest for you to just go check them out because you will find dresses that you wouldn't even think about. They had so many styles and brands that will make you look and feel beautiful on your special day!

Trying on dresses at the Sentimentalist was a dream. I went to a LOT of places-- 9 or so-- and tried on many, many dresses. The Sentimentalist and one other place were my favorites. I knew what I liked and what I didn't, but I didn't have a clear vision on what I'd end up with. I just hoped I'd end up with something unique and not incredibly heavy and stiff. The Sentimentalist was full of different designers that had a delicate, vintage-y look, and it was so much fun to try on these dresses in their little house that is artsy and full of character. I found both my belt and dress at the Sentimentalist and wish they had regular clothing vs just wedding attire, so I'd have a reason to go back!

It was the most amazing place to dress shop and Caitlin helped me work through all my indecisiveness and pick a dress that was both perfect and not at all what I was expecting. The atmosphere was amazing, it is a small intimate space with a carefully cultivated selection of dresses that made me feel comfortable and not at all overwhelmed. I wish I could shop there again, too bad they only carry wedding dresses!

This shop is such a treasure for Atlanta brides. I made appointments at three different shops over one weekend to find "the dress". The Sentimentalist was my first shop and I (along with my Mom, grandmother, and now mother-in-law) were blown away by the customer service and selection. I thought I found "the dress", but I felt the duty to at least go to one more store. The next store I went to felt COMPLETELY different. No one helped us. No dresses seemed special. I knew immediately that I had to go back and get MY dress. From that day to picking up my dress, it was a seamless process. Love, love, love this shop!

I loved being a Sentamentalist bride! I made an appointment at this bridal shop last July after during a girls weekend in Atlanta with my mom and sister. I loved the look of the shop and how kind and attentive everyone was, you definitely felt special unlike some of the department store bridal shops. The consultant was very easy to work with and helped me try on a variety of different options. I ended up leaving the store and coming back the next day because I couldn’t stop thinking about a strapless gown I tried on. They were so nice when I returned and purchased the dress. I just wore it two weeks ago in my wedding, and felt gorgeous. I would recommend this shop for brides looking for a more personalized experience than BHDLN or Macys.

I came here to search for my wedding dress and had a blast! The staff was so sweet and helpful, and MOST IMPORTANTLY gave me HONEST opinions on how the gowns fit my body. There's nothing worse than being told you look perfect in every dress (that's just ridiculous) but they girls helped me figure out not only what dress I looked BEST in, but which dress I looked the most comfortable and happy in. It was a great experience! After I got the dress they have been so quick to respond, whether it be about best places to get alterations, or information for getting it dyed. Highly recommend!

Not only did I find my dream wedding dress there (which was an accomplishment in itself since The Sentimentalist is the only bridal shop in Atlanta that I know of that sells beautiful, modest dresses like they do- so glad I found out about them!!) but the entire experience was perfect. Everything from the style and decor of the shop to the expert and helpful ladies who worked with me during my appointment was exceptional.
I had gone dress shopping at one other place before them and the service at the other place was less helpful, and they made me feel like I wouldn't be able to have a dress in time for my wedding. The ladies at The Sentimentalists on the other hand helped me pick a wedding dress I'm in love with, and it ended up being under my budget which gave me enough to expedite the order to have it before my wedding date. I'm just so pleased with my experience with them, and I would 110% recommend them to other bride-to-be's!

This was a wonderful experience! Sentimentalist was recommended by a friend – I had reached out to her because I loved what she wore, it was so beautiful and unique. Everything I tried on was amazing. The samples were nice quality, the staff were helpful, true experts in handling the changing process, reading the emotions of the room and the crowd, and never giving the feeling of pressuring at any time. It was SO fun. Love love love!

The Sentimentalist provides a beautiful intimate wedding dress shopping experience. I highly recommend this boutique if you're looking for your not so traditional wedding dress. They are focused solely on you and don't feel like a million other people are watching you. They helped me order a custom sized and designed dress from one of their designers and truly helped me decide what I wanted in a dress. Love them!

I love The Sentimentalist ladies and Caitlin especially!! Caitlin was so easy to be around, talk to, and bounce ideas of off - she knows what she's doing! It's a laid back but fun place to try on dresses! They are not pushy, they listen to what you say and what you want, but they also make the best suggestions that you may never even have thought of! I went to three other places and The Sentimentalist was hands down the best place!!! You won't regret making an appointment with them!!!

I had one day with my mom in Atlanta to find a wedding dress, and The Sentimentalist gave us one of the most comfortable and stress-free experiences of the day. We had just come from a sub-par appointment and one store, and fell into open arms at this beautiful little shop. All the ladies were absolutely fabulous and went above and beyond to make sure that our dress shopping experience was a comfortable one. I tried on all different dresses, and then found what I thought was my dress, but wasn't sure with one remaining bridal appointment on the day, and wanted to explore all my options. We left, to ultimately return and get my Carol Hannah gown. After our last appointment of the day, we called up and explained that we wanted to come back to the shop and put a deposit on the gown. The girls at The Sentimentalist were more than accommodating, considering they had appointments all day. We were able to come back, sit down with them and even put the dress on one last time.
One thing I had found throughout my shopping day was that accessorizing a dress can make or break your appointment. All the girls here jumped in with veils, sashes, etc., to help collaborate and find the look I was looking for, without really knowing what that was completely. Thank you so much for helping me find my dream wedding gown!

The Sentimentalist was the perfect bridal experience. They were my second stop in dress searching and were a breath of fresh air after visiting somewhere that didn't understand my style or what I was looking for at all.
It was very easy to make an appointment, and right when I got there, I loved the vibe and environment of the vintage shop. Rhiannon who helped me with my dress selection was great. I loved the first thing (and then everything thereafter) that she pulled off the rack for me. She really understood what I was looking for and LISTENED, which was different than my experiences elsewhere. They had plenty of options within my budget, and it was a overall a positive, uplifting, less stressful experience than what I had experienced before.
I didn't buy that day because I wanted to try on other things. I actually ended up coming back two more times (so total try on of 3 times) before I was comfortable enough to actually say yes to the dress, but the Sentimentalist staff was reassuring and accommodating to my indecisiveness. They took a ton of pics for me, helped me visualize about shoes and overall wedding vibe. They also are just in the know of wedding happenings in Atlanta in general, and have worked with my venue before so I felt very comfortable with all of their opinions.
Overall, The Sentimentalist blew away their competitors in how my overall experience was, their gorgeous dress selection, and relaxed/lovely environment in the shop. I will definitely recommend this to anyone else I know who is looking for a wedding dress!

My experience at The Sentimentalist was a dream. Moments after meeting Rhiannon, she used her intuition to pick out beautiful dresses that she thought would suit me best. She was patient and warm, which I appreciated since this was my first (and last!) day trying on wedding gowns. Further, what I found most impressionable about this shop was that it made me feel special! We walked in with the store to ourselves, were treated like gold, and my consultant was incredibly attentive. I'm so happy that I chose to come to The Sentimentalist to find my dream dress! ♥

After trying on lots of dresses in both Charleston and other Atlanta vendors, the Sentamentalist had exactly what I was looking for. I wanted something unique and true to who I am.. and I found that in almost every dress I tried on at the Sentamentalist. They say, "you know when you know!" Well, I thought I KNEW with about 5 different dresses at the Sentamentalist. It was a hard decision, but with the help of their employees and the encouragement of my mom and sister- I found THE one. I am so glad I found this shop, and I'm glad I went here first. I knew I wanted a dress that was "different"- but I didn't totally know what that meant- my taste didn't really seem to have any common factors. I also had a LOT of nervousness going in- there's all this pressure to like fall in love with a dress and cry and feel like a beautiful stunning bride or something and that's just not me so I was worried.
My mom, my maid of honor, my bridesmaid and I were greeted, given delicious mimosas and led to our own private room with a mirror, and I basically word-vomited everything I just said to Caitlin, who was helping me. She listened patiently to all my talk that made no sense and just said "Ok, so you want a wedding dress that has a classic feel but also sort of rejects the sweet, romantic southern bride look?" UGH, YES CAITLIN. THANK YOU. YOU GET ME. We went back and picked out dresses, and every dress she picked for me- even if they didn't necessarily look good on me, really fit the aesthetic I was going for.
She was also great when it came to sort of feeling out my group's dynamic and how I felt about dresses. We are not really the "gushing" types and so all she really added to the conversation was how a dress might fit when it was actually in my size. It was nice to not feel any pressure from her end, and helped ease all my nervousness.
I ended up picking a dress that I absolutely adored and met all my criteria, but I didn't want to pull the trigger on buying just yet. Then, changed my mind and the next morning I showed up unannounced, and they were super accommodating and let me try on my dress again, get some good pictures and buy it.
Overall, I could not be happier with my experience. The shop, the experience, the selection and the staff are all out of this world. Whether you like traditional "sweet romantic southern bride" dresses, or super weird, cutting edge dresses, The Sentimentalist has you covered and will make your time there amazing.

If this were the typical dress buying experience, brides would not have any horror stories about buying a wedding dress. The ladies at the shop were wonderful, inviting, and most importantly they were real people. Not once did I feel that they were just trying to get be to buy a dress for the sale. They engaged with me about my wedding, my ideal dress, and my personal life. I felt that we had been friends for a long time! I just felt very comfortable there. I didn't buy my dress right away the same day as my appointment. But I may have, annoyingly, been corresponding via email and playing phone tag for about a month after that :) These gals are just the best, they went above and beyond to communicate with me and they gave me honest advice. I would highly reccomend this shop to every bride!

This little shop is stocked full to the brim of beautiful, unique gowns. After visiting a major chain and a smaller boutique in Chattanooga, I scheduled with The Sentimentalist and had a good feeling about the styles they had to offer. I ended up loving every dress I tried on, and purchased my wedding gown with them with no hesitation. The owners of the shop are both lovely and took a genuine interest in my shopping experience. I loved their attention to detail and willingness to let me hop in and out of dresses to help make my decision. The personal touch is amazing; You don't have to share a consultant with other customers and her attention is focused solely on you. I can't recommend this store enough.

I am so happy my photographers recommended The Sentimentalist to me! It is such a beautiful bridal shop, and the people that work here are amazing! They are so good at what they do, are patient and are not pushy at all! They take their time helping you find the perfect dress and accessories. All of their dresses are gorgeous so I had a difficult time making a decision on my first visit. I came back for a second appointment when they were having a Rebecca Schoneveld trunk show and ended up having a custom wedding dress made for me! Talk about an incredible experience and opportunity! I loved my wedding dress so much and could not be happier with my decision to get it from The Sentimentalist!

The Sentimentalist was the dreamiest wedding dress shopping destination. I had my mother, sister and two friends with me and we had the loveliest afternoon there. Caitlin and I discussed my vision for my dress and we went to pull from the most beautiful racks of dresses I've ever laid eyes on.
After trying on several dresses, I was so torn between different parts of Leanne Marshall dresses that I loved. Caitlin worked to pin the tops and bottoms of the ones I loved together so I could see what my custom dress would look like. She was so patient even though i was taking forever to make my decision.
My dress was perfect for me and it made me so happy all the moments I thought about it leading up to my wedding day! I couldn't have asked for a better experience wedding dress shopping and so happy it was great 'cause you only get to pick out your wedding dress once!

I knew that I wanted a more classic and vintage look for my wedding and the Sentimentalist delivered! So many of my guests told me that my Elizabeth Dye dress was simply the most beautiful wedding dress they had ever seen. I love the dress so much that I am considering dyeing it so I can wear it as an evening gown.

I was drawn to The Sentimentalist because of their unique dresses and handmade accessories. The small shop offered an intimate experience with exceptional staff expertise. My budget for the dress was $1200-$1500, so I was concerned when I read online that most dresses were $2000-$3000. I called the store and was told there were a few dresses available within my price range, so I made an appointment. I tried on 5 or 6 dresses at the store and fell in love with one by the designer Theia, which I purchased for $1500. I also purchased a few extraordinary handmade accessories (belt, veil, and earrings) to complete my look. I couldn’t have found them anywhere else. This store is perfect for the bride searching for a unique look and it far exceeds conventional dress stores that sell heavy material and outdated looks. Here you will look modern and sophisticated, while feeling youthful and romantic.

I can't say enough about The Sentamentalist and all of its lovely ladies. From start to finish, communication was quick and easy, and the whole experience was fun and stress free. Each of my questions was answered with a smile, and I never felt judged or pressured as I had in other shops. I had been searching for a bridal shop that offered simple, vintage inspired dresses, and The Sentamentalist is just exactly what I was looking for. Their collection is so unique and beautiful that I even day dream about the dresses I DIDN'T pick :) I feel insanely corny saying so many positive things, but my experience really was PERFECT! Your search won't be complete until you give them a visit!!!!
