The Ridges Resort on Lake Chatuge Reviews

I had a small wedding but planned and executed it in 4 days! It wasn't a shotgun wedding! I loved my experience with The Ridges Resort and everything came together perfectly! My ceremony was on the pier and made for the best wedding pictures! Christa Subia who works on property officiated and did a wonderful job! Everyone was amazing! The front desk agent even helped me surprise my now husband. My husband did not know his Dad was going to be able to make it. She sent him in the right direction without giving it away. Resulting in such a meaningful moment between father and son. They will absolutely go above and beyond for their clients and guests.

We had our wedding nearby and wanted for our guests to have multiple lodging options. We had a supplemental room block at The Ridges Resort and were so pleased with the service and flexibility. The location and views are fantastic and really gave our guests a sense of being away and on vacation, which is just what we were going for. There are firepits along the lake and the lobby has strong mountain lodge-vibes, which is just what we were hoping for. Thanks again!!

The ridges went above and beyond to make sure our big day was perfect. Rooms were great. Grounds are breathtaking. Staff was super friendly and hard working to make sure guests were happy. There’s something on the grounds for everyone to enjoy! Such a stress free and fun weekend!! Book now!

The venue was beautiful and the staff were exceptional! We are so glad we booked with the Ridges. Our guests travelled from all over to come and loved the experience. Highly recommend making a long weekend of your wedding if you book this venue.

A 2020 engagement was the best part of a hard year. Planning for a 2021 wedding felt a bit intimidating based on the uncertainty of our times. Thus, Andrea and Steven and their fabulous hospitality team were a much needed boost of reassurance as we planned the May rehearsal dinner. They all far exceeded our expectations for quality, design and service. We highly recommend The Ridges Resort at Lake Chatuge.

We looked around extensively for a wedding venue that fit our needs. The Ridges Resort is absolutely breathtaking! Our coordinator Andy, was very friendly and easy to work with. She (along with the entire Ridges Staff) was professional, responsive, organized, detailed and worked with us to make our day absolutely perfect. We can't wait to visit the resort again!

Selecting The Ridges was a last minute option for us. We had a destination wedding planned in the Caribbean but due to COVID it was changed 2 different times then eventually cancelled so with only just over two months before our date we found The Ridges online during a search of areas we loved. We knew moving it to the mountains was the best idea during the pandemic to avoid a possible third time changing our wedding. Andy was our first contact with The Ridges, she provided us with the details needed to make the decision to secure the location and start planning. We opted for an inclusive package they offered which made things really easy. Because we originally were doing a destination wedding though none of the additional "traditional" things you think about were needed until now such as flowers, dj, cake, etc. so we started to panic once we realized we were going to have to essentially plan a full out wedding in such a short time... Oh and by the way this was all done remotely and without seeing the venue at all so we had to place all of our trust in Andy to lead us through this process. She made herself available during all hours of the day on the phone or through facetime she walked us through various venues on location. We immediately felt a comfort level with Andy, she gave us her opinions, honest feedback, and told us what we needed to focus on to pull off this wedding for us and 50 guests, taking the burden of the planning from us. Fast forward to when we arrived the week of our wedding, by then we had already felt like Andy was family. She greeted us with a giant hug and we started to walk the facilities. Up until the last minute possible she allowed us to make final decisions and changes without question. Immediately we felt at ease that everything was together exactly as she had stated and how we wanted it, I cant tell you how stressed we were until that moment. We finally were able to start enjoying the week and knowing that Andy had everything under control. We also hired Andy as our Day Of coordinator, which was worth 100x the value. She handled every little detail with the vendors, the venue, our family, and anything else thrown at us which there was. A hurricane decided to form and find its way through the mountains the day of our wedding, in late October in the mountains, of course it was 2020 why not?! Andy had already been monitoring and anticipated secondary locations and fully set them up in preparation our beautiful lakeside ceremony would have to be moved indoors. Instead of calling it and moving on which would have been easy for them to do, she allowed for us to wait up until the very last minute possible to try and keep our wedding outdoors. We had to monitor the grass and rain but luckily it all subsided 1 hour before the ceremony began and the staff started setting everything up. Andy saw us through the ceremony, reception, and even stayed for a while ensuring everything went out without us having to worry about a thing. After all we went through to get to that day it was better than we ever could have imagined.
Now here is the down and dirty:
The Ridges located directly on Lake Chatuge with a gorgeous view of the lake and mountains. The resort is older but recently renovated. The rooms were spacious and nice. The grounds were well kept and we were able to enjoy the amenities and outdoor spaces throughout the week. They have their own restaurant which is the ONLY restaurant on the lake with the most amazing views. They were going through management changes of the restaurant so there were some closures throughout the week which is a bummer, they lost a lot of money with it not open during this time and we had to eat at alternative places throughout the week. Staff - This is a small mountain town so we didn't expect the Ritz but everyone was super friendly. Some of the front desk associates could use some additional training but again nothing that was of issue. They do promote nightly fires but each night we went outside there was no firewood to be found. Megan, the new GM at the restaurant was also serving for us at the wedding. She is another GEM and so grateful they gave her the role to help get the restaurant back on track. Andy as we stated before was beyond anything we could have imagined and I can tell we will be in touch through the years.. Location - convenient to many trails and waterfalls, and Helen this was the perfect location for us. All 50 of us took over many restaurants and venues throughout the week and everyone was outgoing and friendly to us.
All said I would highly recommend this venue and specifically ANDY if you have any desire for a beautiful mountain wedding.

The Ridges was the absolute perfect place to have my fairy tail wedding! The staff was wonderful that helped everything flow. I want to really emphasize how AMAZING Andy was with the whole process of keeping us in the loop, making sure that everything is going to flow today, and an unbelievable day of coordinator. Our wedding wouldn’t of been the perfect day it was without the Ridges, but most importantly, Andy! Thank you guys so much for our fairy tail wedding.

Getting engaged right before COVID-19, we were excited to have our wedding at the Ridges. When we saw venue nightmare stories, weddings cancelled, we started to panic. Andy from The Ridges put all our minds and hearts at ease with making our big day a realty.
This is the perfect venue if you want a more intimate weekend with friends and family while being in a beautiful place, with incredible food and activities.
Wedding day was a BREEZE, we got a ton of compliments on the food, and walking into our reception and seeing the magic the Ridges created brought me to tears.
I'm so glad we have a place we can go back and relive the best day of our life. Our memories at The Ridges are just starting thanks to wonderful and outstanding hospitality!!

The Ridges Resort was the perfect place to have my dream wedding! The ceremony backdrop was breathtaking and appeared just as we were shown in pictures. It was the perfect weekend get-a-way for friends and family. We also had such a positive experience working with Andy Allen at The Ridges Resort as our wedding coordinator. She was always available to talk with us during the planning process. On my wedding day, Andy helped everything fall into place and I would highly recommend her as your wedding coordinator.

We had our wedding here on 5/29/2020. Everything was fantastic to the venue, the food, and the service. Andrea was a pleasure to work with and eased our minds with many options and back up plans. Plus she was so kind and professional. We all made so many memories that weekend and it would not have been the same if not for the Ridges Resort and their phenomenal service. Highly recommend!

The Ridges Resort on Lake Chatuge was a lovely venue for our son's Rehearsal dinner. The Red Banks Room was chosen for the dinner, and was the perfect spot for our guests to relax and enjoy a meal together before the wedding the following day. The event coordinator was superb to work with before and during the dinner. Her attention to details and her desire to meet our requests for the event went above and beyond what we expected. The food was delicious, the room set up was perfect, and the serving staff were all gracious and helpful to meet our every need.

Andy at the ridges resort was so helpful in planning our wedding. We opted to have a weekend experience with the rehearsal on Friday, Saturday wedding, and Sunday breakfast. She made sure every event went smoothly and stress free for myself and my groom. Scenery was beautiful, food was great, and the bartenders were amazing. Still getting texts from family and friends about how beautiful everything was and how much fun they had. Can’t thank her enough!

I absolutely cannot say enough good things about the Ridges Resort. From the first time we viewed the space and meeting with Andrea Allen, we knew this is where we wanted to spend our special weekend. The grounds are beautiful, with so much for the guests to do, and the rooms/ venue spaces are newly updated and so nice.

Andrea (Andy) was a huge reason why we chose The Ridges. For a year and a half, she assisted us with everything, never letting a question go unanswered. When it was finally time for our special day, Andy made sure everything went absolutely perfect! She even hurt her foot before the ceremony, but pushed through until everything was good at our reception like an absolute boss. She was amazing and will make sure your day is perfect!

The rest of the Ridges Resort staff was also incredible. They made sure my now husband and I, as well as our families, were happy and having a great time all weekend. The staff that assisted with the rehearsal dinner and ceremony were also wonderful- they always made sure Kyle and I had drinks in our hand, ate enough, and even accommodated our special requests.

Again, I cannot say enough good things about The Ridges Resort on Lake Chatuge- this is definitely the place to have your destination wedding!

We couldn't be happier about having our wedding at The Ridges Resort! The staff went above and beyond for my wife and me and all of our guests. Pros: (1) There are multiple locations on site to get married. Our wedding was in December, so we had it all indoors. The ceremony was in a large conference room overlooking the lake, our cocktail hour was in the lobby, and our reception was in the ballroom. There are also multiple locations by the lake if you are having an outdoor wedding. The food is delicious. (2) Before booking our wedding with The Ridges, we went to its restaurant to test the food and the professionalism of the staff- both excellent! The price point is also amazing for drink and food packages. (3) Our photos had stunning backdrops of the lake, mountains, and property around the resort. (4) The staff. Andy was fantastic as our on-site coordinator. She was detail oriented and worked with our budget to make our wedding everything we had dreamed. The catering staff, wait staff, and hotel staff are friendly and will do everything possible to make sure you and your guests have an amazing time.

Our wedding at the Ridges Resort was amazing. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is so serene. Our wedding guest are still raving about the food, staff and the event as a whole. Our ceremony was held on the lake pier and the cocktail hour/reception took place in the Red Banks Ballroom. The weather was perfect and we could not have chosen a better venue to host our event.

After we toured the Ridges Resort, we knew there was no where else we could possibly get married. Andy, the venue coordinator, was a huge blessing and kept us informed all along the way. On the day of the wedding, the venue did everything they could to make sure everything was perfect. We are still hearing from guests about how beautiful our venue was and how they cannot wait to go back to visit in the future. All of the staff on site is so helpful, and the food was delicious. If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would. I would highly recommend The Ridges to anyone wanting to get married in the Blue Ridge Mountains!

Andy actually made our dreamed night happen, she kept us on schedule and made all the hassels disappear! I'll be forever grateful with Andy!

Andy was an amazing coordinator. She made sure every detail was accounted for and made she we were as prepared as we possibly could be.

The Ridges is a gorgeous venue and provided the perfect backdrop for our multi-day Indian wedding. The staff was courteous, professional, patient, and extremely generous with their time and attention to detail. The chef created exquisite desserts; bartenders were able to handle the high volume of guests with ease; the servers were kind and efficient; and the wedding coordinator for the Ridges, Andrea Allen, went above and beyond to make sure every detail of the wedding was as planned. Andrea was organized, flexible, and extremely accommodating for our many guests and vendors. Even though it was a rainy day, there were very few complaints from guests because the Ridges' staff made sure everyone had a wonderful experience.

Beyond expectations! Andrea took great care of our traditional Indian wedding to make sure everyone enjoyed the celebrations. Thank you!

We had our wedding at the Ridges back in May 2018. Andy and her staff always treated us with such kindness! Our wedding turned out beautiful and our friends and family say it was the best ever. We were grateful to have our dog be apart of the wedding and stay at the resort too. There is plenty of space so we were able to have the rehearsal,ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all in different areas in the resort.

We loved all the people who made our day special. Andy was such a blessing to us and make our vision a reality without us having to stress at all. The servers and bartender became like family to my husband and I by the end of our wedding. We loved our perfect wedding and are so thankful to have found the Ridges!

The weather was perfect and the location was out of this world beautiful! The food was delicious and the staff great. Andy at the Ridges helped with detailed planning at every step. Everything went just as we wanted, down to the seaplane entrance.

We were married in 7/13/18 and spent 3 glorious days at the Ridges. From the rehearsal dinner to the wedding & the reception our every wish need and want was provided by Andy and the very awesome staff. We couldn't have had a better venue. Our wedding was flawless and people are still talking about it. We stayed 3 days and hated to leave our lovely lake side room. We were completely spoiled by the Ridges and if we could get married a second time just to experience it all over again we would.

The Ridges was the perfect resort for hosting our family. We hosted 150 people for a destination wedding and the service and attention was second to none. Andy was outstanding and worked with me to accommodate family s'mores night and an awesome after party. If you are looking for a mountain setting with great service and accommodations, I highly recommend the team at The Ridges.

We did our destination wedding at The Ridges Resort and Marina. We absolutely love the venue and the wedding coordinators Kristin and Lori were wonderful to work with. Our guests complimented us numerous times about the venue and our wedding. We highly recommend The Ridges Resort and Marina for a wedding.

Small resort property with a rustic lodge hotel. Gorgeous views of mountains and lake. Absolutely BEAUTIFUL in the summertime. I'm so glad we picked this venue for our wedding and reception. The food at the reception was delicious, and everyone had a fantastic time. They raved about The Ridges Resort. The hotel rooms were clean and well-furnished. And there's a great little lake-side restaurant within a short walk (The Blue Otter).

The staff at the lodge were friendly and attentive. If you are looking for a beautiful mountain + lake view wedding within a workable budget, you should definitely check out The Ridges. They were timely, well-organized, and always professional.

look no further book here!! If you are looking for a drop dead gorgeous back drop and a FUN place with the most awesome people ever then this is the place for you! As beautiful as the pictures look, it still does not come close to doing this place justice. It was one of many places on our visit list, not even on the top and as soon as we saw it we knew it was the place. We were so in love we never looked anywhere else again and it was only our 3rd visit. The guests were absolutely blown away by how beautiful and FUN the place was. Since all of our guests were traveling from either Atlanta or Birmingham, AL, they all made a weekend of it and had a blast! Our guests rented boats and went swimming, and zip lining, and fishing, and just had a great summer weekend in the mountains which is exactly what we wanted. There is a tiki bar/sports bar restaurant on site called the Blue Otter so the guests can eat and drink there around wedding festivities. The views are absolutely breath taking and the staff was so incredibly awesome. Every single person there went above and beyond to make our weekend special. Chuck the bartender was the absolute coolest! Any way possible he could accommodate us, he did and constantly asked what else he could do to make our day special. Kristin, the coordinator was so responsive and helpful! She got all the vendors together and got all my decorations together and the place looking exactly how i wanted it without any worry. Vickie at the front desk is the absolute sweetest and so welcoming. Even the Events Manager was serving my Grandparents wine from the lodge bar so they wouldn't have to walk to go get a drink. They all were more than we could have hoped for. Just to reinforce how we felt about the place, the guests were absolutely stunned. The best man even mentioned how amazing the place was in his speech! He said "this place is ridiculous! how did you guys even find this place, how does a place like this even exist?!" :) :)

I searched high and low for a wedding venue - considered Atlanta, the beach, Mexico, and the North Georgia Mountains. What was important to me and my husband, was finding a place that truly reflected us as a couple, surrounded by natural beauty, at really great value...and that's what we found at Ridges Resort. Plus we found the added bonus of having our guests stay for the whole weekend, which I highly recommend!! It makes for such a wonderful and intimate experience with family and friends.

After going up to visit the property, we had completely fallen in love. Photos don't do it justice! You're surrounded by beautiful mountaintops, which reflect in the sparkling Lake Chatuge. Kristin went above and beyond working with me through planning the day, since I did not have a wedding planner helping me. Her attitude and willingness to help was incredible, and we are so thankful! The day of our wedding was amazing - again, Kristin came through in such unexpected ways I felt like she was part of our family. The rest of the staff was right with her and incredibly accommodating as well. They took such great care of us!! I can't imagine our day any different - Thank you Kristin and team!

Honestly, our experience with The Ridges was amazing from start to finish. We live in Atlanta, bhut knew we wanted an affordable venue out of town a bit. I've never even thought about planning my "perfect wedding", so I was completely lost when I started my search. I decided to be a brat when looking for the venue.... So on on the website I would put filters: 1. Lake 2. Pool 3. Boats 4. Mountains 5. CeremonANDreception 6. Outdoor Activities 7. Golf 8. AFFORDABLE 9. Booze/Food Catering Services Provided.

I couldn't believe it when The Ridges popped up! Seemed to good to be true, so I sent my parents over there to check it out. They were floored at how beautiful the resort was. The yard was perfectly trimmed and full of gorgeous flowers--talk about amazing landscaping! We looked on their website and were pleasantly surprised at their packages! Boats!!! Yes please! Full bar packages at a reasonable price- even better! After we decided we were immediately taken under wing by Kristen, and The Ridges staff. Again, I had no idea what I was doing-- it was so nice to have someone who thought of my questions before I even knew to ask them! I know this is getting long-winded, but I had such an amazing experience, I would highly recommend anyone to not only stay here for a vacation..... But to make your wedding day a vacation too! The food, the drinks, the rooms, the marina, the lawn....a must-see and must-do!

We chose to have our daughter's wedding at the Ridges Resort and Marina and it's one of the best decisions we made. The wedding was on April 25, 2015 and the weekend could not have been more perfect. The entire staff was so friendly and helpful and the property was absolutely beautiful from the lodge to the floating pier to the fire pits! Kristin was our wedding coordinator and did such a fantastic job. She was there the whole weekend helping with every detail to make sure everyone was where they needed to be and to ensure not only the ceremony went off without a hitch but the entire celebration. After you have been planning such a big event for almost a year you just want it to live up to your expectations and frankly it surpassed ours, and we have Kristin and everyone at the Ridges to thank for that.

My daughter's wedding ceremony and reception was at The Ridges on September 20, 2014. The experience was top notch from the planning to the actual day. Kristin and her staff went over and beyond to provide the vision my daughter had for her wedding. The ceremony was outside on the lawn overlooking the lake with the cocktail hour on the patio around the fire pit ( the crab cakes and fried spanakopita were an excellent choice). We were blessed with perfect weather and were able to have the reception and dance floor on the lawn. The staff set up everything as planned and were very accommodating. Many of our guests stayed at the lodge or in the onsite villas which added to the enjoyment of the weekend. We had many compliments about the venue and how friendly the staff was especially the awesome ladies at the front desk.
Kristin texted me the morning of the wedding to ask if there was anything I needed that she could pick up for me on her way to the venue. She was with us every step of the day and night. We could not have asked for a better on site coordinator than Kristin. I highly recommend this venue for a wedding or other group function.

I will give a 10 if I could! The people there were amazing, they did everything they can except make the weather not rain on my wedding day. But even so, they kept trying their hardest to keep the seat dry. The food was amazing, the resort was beautiful, and the most important is the service, you can't asking for better people! Everyone was so accommodating, the wedding would not have happen without them. Highly recommended!

The Ridges was a GREAT site for my reception! Renee Beebe did an awesome job helping us plan. Between my mother and myself... I think we sent her a 1000 emails! She was so great/quick to respond, and the Ridges was so flexible with what exactly we wanted and didn't want. They really took care of so many things, freeing us up to really put time into the details. The food was delicious as well. I highly recommend the Ridges! It was my DREAM WEDDING! :)

The Ridges is a beautiful venue!!! It was perfect and exactly what we needed. What really pushes this place over the top is Renee. She answered every question we had quickly and with ease. She was a pleasure to work with. All of the staff is very warm and excellent at what they do.

It was absolutely the best place to have a wedding. The outdoor ceremony by the lake was gorgeous and everything was set up exactly like I had dreamed. The reception at the outdoor pavilion was magical. Renee and the whole staff at the resort were more than accommodating to our every need. They have various location for a reception and since we were such a small wedding the location we chose was perfect. The staff helps you with everything. They go above and beyond what you expect. They make sure your relax and enjoy your day. I highly recommend this location for a wedding in the Georgia Mountains.

Rebee Bebee was extremely helpful in all areas of Missy and Matt's wedding at the Ridges Resort. The staff was friendly and the food was delicious. Renee made sure all our needs were met and the wedding was beautiful. You could not ask for a more gorgeous setting than having the ceremony right on the lake with the mountains in the background! Missy and Matt said they could not have asked for more.

The Ridges was an absolutely beautiful place to hold a wedding. All the staff at the Ridges were extremely helpful and very pleasant. The food was great and everything went as planned. Renee, the wedding coordinator, was wonderful to work with. My daughter and son-in-law said they loved every minute of their wedding day! I would say it was a huge success!

As I was walking around at my reception, a bridesmaid came up to me and asked, "How does it feel to be living in a storybook?" I replied, "I feel like a princess." The Ridges was the perfect backdrop for my storybook wedding. Renee, the wedding coordinator, was my own fairy godmother. She was a dream to work with. She and all the staff at the Ridges were sweet, flexible, and accomodating. I went to several venues in North Georgia, and looked at even more online. When I went to the Ridges, my fiance and I knew from the moment we arrived that we had found the perfect place. Upon walking inside, the staff knew our names when we walked in the door. The grounds were beautiful, and intimate. It was big enough to have things to do: boats, firepits, walking around the lake, eat at one of their lakeside restaurants. But all in the same location, so that we didn't have to get back into our car the entire time we were there. If they wanted to, guests could drive to Helen to do some mountain town shopping. I have heard from several guests that this was the most fun wedding they have attended. Because of the staff and the location, those who came could leave their cares behind, and rest and relax from Thursday - Sunday. I highly recommend the Ridges.

The search for our daughter’s perfect December 2011 wedding and reception location ended when we visited The Ridges Resort & Marina on Lake Chatuge, in the mountains of northeast Georgia. AJ and I met with Renee Beebe and her calm, confident and professional attitude, as we discussed the event, calmed us and we knew we had the place! The owner of the Ridges, Mitchell Jones, stopped by and assured us that all would be perfect and it was!

Renee worked on the dozens of details in the following weeks and I’m not sure what I would have done without her knowledge and capable assistance.

We’ve received numerous compliments on the locations we used for the ceremony, the cocktail hour and reception. The cozy, warm, lodge-like area off the lobby, with its beautiful fireplace and hearth was perfect for the ceremony. Already beautifully decorated for the holidays, it was elegant, intimate and a perfect size for nearly 100 guests.

The Red Banks Ridge Room was where the reception was held and their staff helped our cake vendor and band get ready and all raved about the staff attentiveness, the décor and food! We had a great menu to select from and the candles, fireplace, dance floor, area for cake, etc… were just right! The staff helped make the reception fun, kept us on schedule and the bride and groom had such a good time. It was the bride’s party and they were there to make her happy!

A variety of overnight accommodations for family and friends was available and made it easier to enjoy the event.

Our daughter says her wedding and reception was perfect and not one detail would she have changed! I will remember it that way, as well and my thanks to Renee Beebe, Tyler Hopf, Vickie Hohmann and many unnamed others who made it so.

I had my November 2022 wedding at the Ridges Resort, and I could not have been happier with my decision. We were married on the lakeside lawn and had our reception in Red Banks Ridge. Our rehearsal dinner was the evening before in the newly renovated Oaks Lakeside Kitchen - which was spectacular! We had a 25 room block with our whole family and bridal party staying on site, which was a #1 concern when booking our venue. The other thing we loved was that catering and bar packages were provided through the venue as well. The day of and for weeks after, I received so many compliments on how delicious our food was the entire weekend. Andy Allen, our event coordinator, even set aside a plate of the pass-around apps that my husband and I may have missed out on due to post-ceremony photos. My drink was never empty, and I felt well taken care of by Andy and her staff. I heard from many family members that it was one of the best weddings, if not the best, they had ever been to. The hotel rooms were modern and clean. The continental breakfast was delicious and there are also some fun restaurants nearby that we enjoyed during our wedding weekend in the mountains. We were able to meet with our coordinating team, lead by Andy, twice before the big day to plan out everything. There were a couple of occasions where it took several days to get back to me, but she was always helpful in her responses. She offered her expertise with rentals for the additional linens and chairs I had imagined with the color scheme I had planned for the day. I kept track of absolutely everything because any planning before the 90-day mark prior to the wedding was my responsibility, and for the large part I coordinated my own vendors, then the week of and day of the event Andy took over and handled all deliveries, setup and breakdown, and layout elements of our big day. Everything was very straightforward - I knew what would be included and what would cost extra and there were no surprises. We ate like royalty, we danced the night away - It was an incredible weekend I will never forget!

We had a weekend of wedding celebrations at the Ridges Resort and it was the best decision we could have made. From welcome drinks on Friday night to brunch on Sunday morning, our wedding guests were able to celebrate with us all weekend and the Ridges had everything set up for us to do so! Andy Allen is superb at helping plan and was so fast to respond to all of my questions and concerns, so that when the weekend came it was a breeze for everyone and we had so much fun! The venue itself is astounding!! It was an insanely cold day, but it didn't matter because the scenery and the fall colors were so beautiful that we didn't care. Getting married on the dock was such a cool experience, and our guests all commented on how unique and fun it was to be there! We hosted a bonfire party on the lawn, and a dance party in the ballroom. The whole weekend was a dream come true. Thank you Andy and The Ridges!!

The Ridges Resort was the perfect location for my dream wedding! Lake side, mountain views, accommodations on-site for all of my guests, so many beautiful rooms and outdoor locations to host all of my wedding weekend events! I have the most incredible pictures. Having Andy as my day of coordinator was just the icing on the wedding cake! She had so many great ideas and advice to offer throughout the whole planning process. Despite so many bumps in the road due to COVID, Andy truly kicked butt making my vision reality. Day of, everything went perfectly according to schedule and looked even better than I could have imagined! Guests are still raving about how much fun they had and how much they loved the resort. I can’t wait to return for anniversaries and family vacations.

COVID Disclaimer: Don’t have a wedding during a pandemic. It was BEYOND stressful and really ruined a lot of the wedding experience for me. While everything looked perfect, I was an emotional wreck from all the stress and covid-related emergencies leading up to the very day of the wedding. It took me almost 2 months to write this review because I still get stressed just thinking about my wedding. Postpone if you can. Wait to schedule/sign contracts. Do whatever you can to avoid a covid-wedding!!

It was a delight to work with Andy Allen at The Ridges. She worked very hard to give Kelly & Matt the perfect wedding they wanted in the mountains. The resort was very accommodating and so nice to have all guests close by. It was just as advertised and the setting just gorgeous. I would highly recommend The Ridges and Andy Allen as your wedding coordinator.

Our guests enjoyed being able to stay on the grounds; as the parents of the bride we enjoyed the ease of planning and working with the event planner there and the meal was catered by The Ridges. All of our guests were complimentary of their plated meals - they were given the option of beef, seafood, or chicken. Many meal plan options to choose from. We enjoyed the beautiful gathering space the large lobby and outdoor patio with fire pit provided our guests to mingle the evening prior to the wedding; the views of the Blue Ridge Mountains make a beautiful backdrop. There were some housekeeping issues with the hotel cleaning staff, and we believe these are being addressed for future events. We would use this venue again.

My daughter got married at The Ridges on August 1, 2015. I cannot give enough praise to Kristin, the wedding coordinator. She is young but very good at her job. She was organized, personable, attentive and just a delight to work with throughout the whole process. She followed up on every email or phone call in a timely manner and did her best to meet all of our special requests. The entire staff was extremely friendly and accomodating throughout our stay (we stayed on site for a few days before and after the wedding) and we are a pretty high maintenance group! The food was excellent! Our only disappointment was in level of upkeep of the property itself. The Ridges property is a gem, but could do a better job of maintenance and upkeep of the facilities and landscaping (painting and repairing the floating pier, weeding, pruning, and mulching natural areas, etc.). I believe the Ridges was going through some management transitions during our experience with them and I believe they are working on some of these issues. They have an amazing property with so much potential and I hope they will realize the wisdom of reinvesting in themselves. I will have to admit, however, that even with a few imperfections, the setting looks absolutely perfect in the wedding pictures! My advise would be to visit The Ridges during the season in which you plan to hold your event to see the condition of the property during that particular season to make sure it meets your expectations. Overall, our experience with The Ridges was great and we highly recommend Kristin and the entire staff.

We got married at The Ridges and we couldn’t be happier with our wedding day! Our wedding was in October and we had an outside ceremony overlooking Lake Chatuge and the reception was at the Red Banks Ballroom at The Ridges. First of all, it was beautiful! It was a clear, fall day and the leaves were beautiful and the lake is gorgeous and makes the venue unique. You can see the lake AND the mountains in some of our photos. We loved the Ballroom as well. It got cold that night so I am glad we chose to use the Ballroom but The Ridges has a beautiful pier and lawn area for outdoor receptions. Secondly, the staff at The Ridges is very helpful especially the wedding coordinator, Kristin. Kristin was approachable, knowledgeable and listened to me when I had concerns or questions. She also offered suggestions to help us stay within our budget, which I really appreciated. She approaches her job with a genuine interest in the couple. Thirdly, having our wedding at The Ridges was logistically simple and it made the whole weekend more relaxed and enjoyable for our wedding party/guests and us. Our villa at The Ridges was the perfect place to get ready with my bridesmaids. I did not drive anywhere on the day of the wedding—which is exactly what I wanted! We had our Rehearsal Dinner, Bridesmaid Luncheon, Wedding/Reception within a 5-mile radius. Also, The Ridges has a great location and our guests had so many choices for fun activities during the wedding weekend—my bridesmaids and I visited the nearby Equani Spa the day before the wedding, some guests hiked Brasstown Bald, others played golf, attended fall festivals or enjoyed the local wineries. At the end of the Reception we had a sparkler send-off and a getaway in a pontoon boat on Lake Chatuge. It was the perfect ending to our special day. We will cherish the fun memories of our wedding day in the mountains forever!

This resort is very nice and by the lake on the librarians was beautiful.

This i a really pretty place and we loved having our wedding here. Everything was pretty great with the exception of working with their wedding coordinator who was not very responsive and the fact that they installed a new reservations system the weekend of our wedding which made check ins a nightmare. Aside from that is was GREAT to work with them.

I worked with Kristin at The Ridges and my wedding was absolute perfection. Kristin knows all the vendors in the area and was very helpful about recommendations to make sure everyhing was how I wanted it. We came up with a custom package.

The planning was going so great until about 4 months before the wedding I got calls from guests saying they were told the hotel was full. It actually wasn't. This happened Multiple times and was pretty frustrating. When you have a room block you expect that they would help you try to fill it. Not only that, this is a destination resort so all employees should understand and know about the booking process. Kristin did her best to relieve the situation

The rehearsal dinner was amazing. They decorated the room and had everything ready. BE AWARE THOUGH! In contracts for open bar for a rehearsal it states that they charge per drink. Well, the entire night not one employee was keeping track of the drinks and my dad even asked the bar tender at the end of the night if he could pay the tab and the bar tender stated he didn't have a clue what we drank. My dad got a final bill later for some false number of drinks that they claim they accounted for. Pretty unprofessional.

The day of the wedding was great! I had my villa for the bridesmaids which I strongly recommend and hair and makeup came on site. All vendors were on time and helped set up and Kristin worked with my bridesmaids to make sure everything went smoothly. The ceremony on the pier and the tented outdoor reception were everything I wanted. It was great

Other than booking, rehearsal bill, and post wedding this wedding went off without a hitch. The grounds are stunning, the food was absolutely delicious, the villas were great and Kristin knows her stuff and is very helpful and super responsive throughout the entire planning process. Gorgeous location for a fall wedding!

My wedding at The Ridges Resort turned out so beautifully! However, my main complaint would just be with the staff and general communication. When we first toured the venue they really sold us our reception space when they mentioned it would have wood floors and no carpet by the time we got married but by our wedding it still had carpet (they made up for this by offering a larger/better reception space). They also initially gave us pricing and described packages for the bar inaccurately so we ended up spending a lot more on the bar package and the bartenders couldn't even make basic cocktails or didn't know what they were when asked to make them. I also had a micro wedding so I did not hire a coordinator (me and my sister coordinated) but the event manager acted like this was frowned upon, several times when we tried to ask questions she would say thats a coordinators job but they were basic questions about the resort/event spaces. Overall, the resort and event managers seemed to barely acknowledge that a wedding was even taking place until the actual night of when they checked in at our reception. We also had to rent reception chairs because the ones they use are steel and black which doesn't go great with wedding decor! Some more positives though are: the food was really delicious for our rehearsal and reception, the property was beautiful and well kept, and everyone could stay there. Again, our wedding was GORGEOUS and I loved that family and friends stayed at the resort with us but for the amount of money we spent I expected a little more from the staff!!
