    Absolutely Perfect!

    The best choice I made for my wedding was to have it at The Rewind! The staff was absolutely amazing…AMAZING! Casey and Kori went above and beyond to make our day perfect and there was nothing they didn’t do to give an above and beyond experience.

    Hotel Rewind in WDSM

    Wow! Only word to describe my wedding at Hotel Rewind. They are every bit of amazing. Thank you to literally everyone who works there. The hotel is so beautiful and clean. The staff seems so happy to be there. Literally anything I needed, they had. The food from Johnny's was perfect. Everyone in my wedding wanted me to make sure every single person in the kitchen staff was commended for how perfect the food was. (Secret time) the night of the rehearsal dinner I snuck in the kitchen to use their sink, the kitchen was clean enough to eat off the floor. Exemplifies how a kitchen should look. If you want absolute service and care for a place for your wedding, this is the place. Kori and Casey, special thank you to you two. Hard to imagine a better pair of people to be there for your most special day. Thank you to everyone at Hotel Rewind!!!!

    Excellent venue

    Casey and all staff were absolutely amazing to work with and they helped my wedding vision come to life perfectly. They spoiled us and many of our guests kept saying how wonderful all of the staff were. The entire day went so smoothly and I felt like I didn’t have to worry about a thing with Casey in charge! Excellent venue, amazing and supportive staff and accommodating in every way.

    Gina is a legend

    To give some background with our situation, we have been together now for over 12 years. We wanted to have our wedding date on the actual anniversary of our first date, amongst other reasons, so we decided to plan a short notice wedding within 6 weeks. We thought we had the venue decided and quickly realized that venue didn’t have the space we needed to make it work, so we were on the scramble. And then we met our savior, an angel by the name of Gina Whitehead. She was an absolute blessing! From the first conversation we had with her, she was calming, organized and very knowledgeable! We called on a Sunday morning spoke with Gina and was able to come view the room that same day, at that time we locked in the room and were well on our way. Gina not only ended up being a great venue coordinator for us, who knew everything in and out, from top to bottom with the process, she was so good that she basically felt like our own personal wedding planner. She was able to work with all our vendors and take the stress off our plate. Once we picked who we were working with, we gave them Gina’s information and we didn’t need to worry about anything. Gina was perfect! She allowed us to do a walk-through to get fully comfortable with the layout and was patient with multiple changes by us. She was available to answer any and all of our questions, which we had plenty of. She would also answer very promptly with clear concise answers that were easy to understand. She made sure all parties and all vendors were always on the same page. Everything she told us she was going to do, she did, in fact she went above and beyond in multiple ways. Such as, helping with last minute guest additions, adding chairs and table settings. Coordinating the timing of the meal dealing with multiple wild guests, and making sure our Champagne and special glasses were ready and on time. The night of the event she was in absolute control of everything with the venue, the timing and planning of everything! She was also a tremendous resource to both the bride and groom the entire time! Since our wedding we have received wonderful feedback about the service and the menu. The food was amazing, the timing was perfect, the venue was large enough with plenty of space, the service was outstanding. At the end of everything Gina felt more like a close friend than our event coordinator. We were so lucky to have found Gina and the amazing services of Holiday Inn & Johnny’s Italian Steakhouse.

    When we plan our next party or event for any reason, we will make sure to use Gina again and the wonderful facilities at the Holiday Inn & Johnny’s Italian Steakhouse.

    High End Venue & Staff without Breaking The Bank

    Choosing a place to have your reception is easily one of the most important parts of the wedding because you are going to spend the majority of your day there. That being said, if you are even considering going to the Holiday Inn at Jordan Creek just do yourself a favor and book it already. It's going to be tough to find a place with this great of service, food, location, and amenities at this price point. I could write a novel on everything I liked about our experience here but I will try to be to the point:

    PLANNING & SET-UP:
    - The planning process with this venue was absolutely fantastic and it was solely because of the Head Events Executive Gina. From our first tour to our final payment after the wedding, Gina was so wonderful to work with. She was very flexible with our wants and needs, was very honest and open with everything, and just went above and beyond what we needed. It felt like planning a Wedding with a someone who truly cared that your Wedding would be special, so needless to say Gina was great to work with!
    - Part of getting a Venue like this is so you have a staff to take care of things so you do not have to. Gina and her staff did all the set up for us and all the tear down for us. We helped making sure the decorations we brought looked the way we wanted but other than that, the day after the wedding they had everything set aside for us to just load up in the car and be done with everything.

    VENUE:
    - The Venue location is perfect. It is close to the Jordan Creek Mall, West Glen Bar/Restaurant scene, and only 20 mins from downtown.
    - We had 245 people show up to the wedding and it worked perfectly. The Venue provides pretty much everything you need including a raised stage for the head table and nice table wear. The only thing we provided/rented was a backdrop, centerpieces, floral, and then decorations for the desert table, guest book table, and escort card table.
    - Really fantastic set up: there is such good flow from the ballroom, to the foyer with cocktail tables where the bar was, to the outdoor patio with chairs/table and a fireplace. Everything was spaced out but yet close enough where all your guests were constantly interacting with each other.
    - As far as the hotel: there is free parking (which most downtown doesn't have), low guest rates, and the bride and groom get a free suite for the night - although I would highly recommend upgrading to the "Marilyn Suite" as it is exceptional.

    FOOD/ALCOHOL:
    - The Food was one of our most complimented things from the day. Since the hotel has a "Johnny's Steakhouse" in the hotel, the restaurant is the sole provider of all the food for the venue. So it was just fantastic food and really kept the guests happy!
    - We were able to do plated dinners because it's actually cheaper than buffet style. Also its worth noting you are getting high level steakhouse quality food at a much cheaper per plate costs than most places we saw downtown. So this was a great value!
    - The meal starts with an Italian style salad, every guest gets olive oil to put on a little plate to dip your bread in, and then they bring out food. Also for you Vegetarians out there - they had a lot of great choices. Overall Gina & Chefs were very open to menu changes and any plates we needed to make specialty for the few guests with extreme allergies. They also have kids plated options too.
    - For desert you can purchase from them or you can bring in whatever you want and they will help you cut/serve whatever you would like to do!
    - They also provide late night snacks which you order in house. Also very delicious and they went fast.
    - Finally, the Alcohol options were plentiful. You can order whatever kegs you would like, have house wine, and they have liquor you can provide. It's nice because you can choose to "host" as much or as little beer/wine/liquor as you want, but the bar will still serve the rest at a price. For example: we hosted beer/wine all night but they still had a full range of liquor available for those who wanted to buy that throughout the night.

    PRICE & BOTTOM LINE:
    - This Venue is going to give you so much you want for a fantastic price. I am saying this realizing that it will still cost you thousands of dollars to host a wedding here. But comparatively it's much cheaper than downtown, cheaper for guests, and offers everything you need in-house unlike venues that just allow you to rent the space.
    It may not have the views of downtown or the trendy rustic-ness of a barn wedding, but it will give you one incredibly important thing: a great time for you and your guests. The food is delicious, they have great bar options, and the hotel is accommodating for guests. This place is truly a win-win by being so reasonably priced for everything you get but providing the best guest experience possible. At the end of the day, your wedding will be remembered by the time you had with your spouse and the time your guests had. Your Wedding will certainly never be forgotten after having it at the Holiday Inn at Jordan Creek!

    Outstanding - Above and Beyond!!!

    We toured eleven possible venues to host our daughter's wedding, and it was easy to see that Event Coordinator Gina and the Johnny's Holiday Inn and Suite's stood out. Our actual experience at there this past weekend couldn't have been more true! From set up, to communication, to each staff member, to the incredible food, bartenders, servers, and excellence in hosting our MANY out of state guests we can't say enough wonderful things. Family and friends are still talking about how excellent the meal was, how personable the staff was, and how great it was to have the reception and overnight option in the same location. One additional thing we would like to share is that when the bride and bridesmaids came down the elevator to leave for the church it began to pour like you won't believe. Out of nowhere several staff members appeared, took our keys, moved our cars, held umbrellas and dresses, and got everyone loaded safely and dry! It was just outstanding and made any stress disappear! We can honestly say that choosing this venue made a beautiful day for our families even better! Check out Gina and her staff!

    Wedding venue

    What a perfect place for a wedding! Everything was perfect from the event planner Gina, our server Jonathan and the entire staff at Johnny's Italian steak house.. The food was exactly as I had imagined....perfect!!! My favorite restaurant and hotel made my daughters wedding a memory she will never forget!!!

    Corbin wedding reception; March 2019

    Gina was extremely easy to work with and very accommodating with everything. She didn't miss a beat and went over and above our expectations. I have, and will continue to, recommend HER and her expertise to anyone and everyone. She paid such close attention to detail and actually made what could have been a stressful event so very relaxed and enjoyable. The amount of compliments we received were astronomical....literally on every detail. She was present for our entire event and paid such close attention to our needs. Gina Whitehead is PHENOMENAL!!!     Need a wedding venue? Look no further!

    Going thru this experience, like all other engaged couples, it’s very stressing, time consuming, and difficult to plan for a reception area to meet all our accommodations.
    I cannot speak enough good praise about our experience with Gina Whitehead and her team at the Holiday Inn. The reception area with about 250-275 guests that we had was ample space and the place was exceptionally clean and plenty of room for dance floor and a photo booth we had!
    One big compliment that I can give was to Gina and her staff. Everyone called us by name, which made us feel so important, and usually doing the menu on that large of a scale is difficult because of the quantity and it being a plated dinner. Everyone was served almost immediately, it was hot and the quality was as excellent as if it was just Jenny and I going out for dinner. I had dozens of texts after the reception saying the food was the best they had ever had at a wedding! This was our worry and they nailed it out of the park! The staff was absolutely amazing-friendly and always had smiles on their face.
    We looked at numerous places around the West Des Moines/Des Moines area and by far for price, quality, and accommodations it was the right choice and I would recommend this to anyone that is looking for a reception here!
    In all— honestly, I would say this was the perfect place to have our wedding reception and will recommend this to anyone I know in the future!

    Excellent! Highly Recommend!!

    We highly recommend Gina Whitehead and the Holiday Inn and Suites- Jordan Creek for a reception or event venue! Gina was very fun to work with and always had prompt answers to any questions we had during our wedding planning. She was always willing to help every step of the way leading up and even on the day of our event. She was professional, fun and super out going and truly made our wedding reception planning process fun and enjoyable. Each time we met with her she had everything ready to go, whether it be for catering or hall planning meetings. The catering staff at Johnny's was amazing as well! We heard only great things about our menu and the meals that were served! Thank you Gina for all you have done!     My husband and I were down to two reception venues, and I am SO glad that we chose The Holiday Inn! Right as soon as we signed with them, nearly all the stress of the reception went away! Their wedding coordinator, Gina, was fabulous to work with! We could tell right away that she loved her job and knew what she was talking about; she definitely has experience in wedding receptions! Gina was so great about all of our questions along the way, responded quickly, accommodated our special requests, and really made the reception the least of our worries. And oh my goodness - the catering from Johnny's Italian Steakhouse is AMAZING! All of our guests are still raving about the delicious food that we chose for the reception. We didn't have to worry about set up, tear down, or clean up - the hotel takes care of all of that for you! Choosing this hotel was probably the best choice we made out of all of the wedding decisions we had to make!!

    There are so many things to account for and worry about with wedding planning. In our case it was the rehearsal dinner and, planning it in West Des Moines from the Chicago suburbs could have made it that much worse. Turns out, we didn’t have to worry about much at all! From the day we first visited the Holiday Inn facility to the actual event six months later, Gina Whitehead made us feel completely at ease about everything. She provided us all the details and then, without ever stopping with her positive and infectious personality, did it again when we lost them the first time. She went out of her way to accommodate our crazy ideas (we did an “At the Movies” theme) and found lots of ways to enhance our theme. Still, when you are five hours away, nervousness creeps in. When we arrived, she was ready for us and the plan was executed flawlessly. And while I’d like to give Gina all the credit, her staff was pretty darn impressive as well. The set-up, the service, and the tear down were a breeze thanks to her extended team. And, while our event consisted of just 40 people, I also witnessed Gina demonstrating the same quality service and attitude to a couple who was planning a much larger wedding reception in the ballroom. If you are looking for a great venue and an even better event planner to help take some of the stress away from your big event, I strongly recommend Gina Whitehead and her amazing team!

    Gina (special event coordinator) and her staff at Holiday Inn Jordan Creek were absolutely superb. From our very first interactions and meeting with her to tour the reception space, Gina was so friendly, approachable, accommodating, and offered such helpful advice with regard to other vendors we would need (i.e. we were unsure which companies to book for our flowers/decor and limo and she had some great local info). With all the details and last-minute changes that come with planning a wedding, Gina always handled our questions and changes with so much poise, professionalism, and reassurance. She and her staff were an incredible help with reception set-up and tear-down. Her staff even placed all of our flowers/decor items on a couple of tables at the entrance to the ballroom to make packing up the next morning a breeze - which gave us more quality time to spend with our families the day after. We opted to rent a private room for breakfast at Johnny's the next morning to say goodbye to family who were leaving that day, which depending on clean-up logistics isn't always feasible to do and we're so happy that it worked for us at Holiday Inn. To top things off, Gina and her staff left goodies in our bridal suite for us, including a bottle of champagne and a pair of Johnny's wine glasses. The food and drink at Johnny's was amazing, we can't tell you how many of our guests told us Johnny's was the best wedding meal they had ever had. From beginning to end, we truly loved our experience with Holiday Inn. We had absolutely no last-minute concerns approaching our wedding day, which allowed us to fully relax and take it all in :)

    What a great experience! Jason was fantastic--super personable, helpful, knowledgeable and was able to accommodate my vision for a small, simple wedding reception without me feeling pressured to do or have more than I was comfortable with. I was able to leave it in his very capable hands and just enjoy the party!     This venue was a perfect fit for our combined ceremony and reception. Upon meeting Jason for the first time, we had all of our questions answered and felt very comfortable allowing him to help coordinate our special day. Through the whole process, Jason responded quickly to all our questions and concerns. He worked hard to make everything that we hoped for possible. After every meeting we felt reassured by Jason's passion and drive to make our day perfect. He has a great balance of giving helpful advice and also listening to our ideas and desires. It was very apparent that Jason's goal was to exceed our expectations for our wedding day. The Hotel and restaurant also provided very accommodating staff and delicious food. All of our guests had wonderful comments about the meal. We would highly recommend this venue because of the food, service, and Jason!

    The Holiday Inn was phenomenal!!! My husband and I could not have been happier with our service at our wedding! The wedding coordinator through the hotel, Jason, was awesome!!! I highly recommend everyone book here. The food and service was amazing. Very reasonably priced as well compared to other vendors! We wanted to be at a hotel, so no one had to drive home at the end of the night. By the time you rent another venue and pay for food it is comparable to going with the Holiday Inn. I would use them again in a heartbeat! Jason (the holiday inn wedding coordinator) was top notch and could not have asked for anyone better!!! :)

    We had our wedding reception here in September 2017. We couldn’t have found a better place to have our reception! Gina was super easy to work with and very responsive to all of our questions (and there were a lot!) We got there the day before to set up and Gina was always around to help with anything we needed. The other staff at the hotel were awesome when we needed things at any time day or night. The reception and the food were wonderful! Gina had everything turned on and lit up before the party got there. She worked with us to get a timeline for the entire evening to make sure we didn’t have to worry about a thing! Tear down was made especially easy as the staff moved everything to one part of the ballroom so we could easily pack it and head home. We had so many wonderful comments from our guests about how awesome everything looked, the politeness of the staff and the wonderful food! We couldn’t have had a more perfect night!
