From my very first call with Chef Rossi, I knew we made the right choice with our wedding caterer. We got married at the Prospect Park Picnic House and Raging Skillet was one of their approved caterers. With so many glowing reviews, I felt good about the decision -- and even more confident with each passing conversation.
Chef Rossi puts so much heart into her cooking while also making sure the meal reflects the couple's dietary preferences, family history/culture, or even just their favorite things. She was incredibly accommodating of our mostly plant-based menu, as well as incorporating a last-minute swap in one of our hors d'oeuvres to honor my late grandmother (who passed a few weeks before the wedding).
Not only did she make sure the menu reflected our plant-based diet, but she was mindful of gluten-free guests and any allergies. Plus, it wasn't a boring menu by any means -- we had tofu chicken and waffles, buffalo mac and "cheese" bites, elevated celery with cream cheese (the nod to my grandma), as well as BLT crackers and fish tacos. Guests had nothing but positive reviews to all the tasty food! The mushroom portobello "steak" was a hit and our meat-eaters loved the chicken. We also had a yummy veggie pasta.
Another part of the experience that was excellent was our tasting! We got to join other couples. My fiance (now husband) was sick at the time, so she let me bring my mother-in-law instead, along with packing up plenty of leftovers for the groom-to-be.
Chef Rossi is easy to talk to, talented, and a bunch of fun to work with! Her counterpart, Charmaine, really held things down in the organization-front, in terms of setting up the reception space of our dreams and making sure things were all set to go and flowing smoothly throughout the evening. She's a powerhouse in the very best way.
I can't recommend the Raging Skillet team enough! And if you also choose to work with them, you won't be disappointed -- and your guests certainly won't go home hungry. -

We had the absolute best experience with our Chef Rossi! From our first tasting at Chef's LES kitchen (which was so much fun to meet other couples) to every visit throughout the year, she welcomed us into her kitchen. She worked within our budget and adjusted the menu multiple times to match our preferences. Chef also visited the venue to go over logistics in advance, which gave us so much peace of mind. On the wedding night, she and her team delivered! The food was plentiful, hot, and delicious and our guests are still raving about it! Huge shout-out also to her right-hand, Charmaine, who joined an on-site visit and met with us and my planner countless times to talk through my wishes and vision. Chef and Charmaine offered great guidance and had a lot of heart. Their entire staff was incredibly attentive, and the bartenders brought so much energy and fun to the evening. All in all, they helped make our wedding night truly amazing. Highly recommend! -

I really can't say enough wonderful things about Chef Rossi and her team. She was the first vendor we secured, without even tasting the food! Chef was so helpful from the beginning - chatting with us, and spending time and energy to help us find other vendors to work with, even before we officially signed any contract. We were able to work within our budget, and address all dietary needs of our guests. The food was DELICIOUS. I typically hate wedding food, but Chef knows how to make food taste fabulous and fresh even for a large event. Charmaine was also incredible, she had everything on lock and was so attentive throughout the day and night. Truly, truly could not recommend Raging Skillet more. I want to have another event solely for their catering. You will not regret partnering with them! -

We can’t begin to describe how awesome Chef Rossi and Charmaine are! The food was so delicious, we knew after leaving the tasting we HAD to go with Raging Skillet. Our guests raved about how good everything was (Rossi magic!), and Charmaine the director made everything happen smooth as silk without any issues, even in a challenging space. We would also like to say how wonderful the waitstaff was, how sweet and attentive they were to us and our families. Cannot recommend them enough, we wish we could get married again just so we could hire them again! -

It's one thing for Chef Rossi and her crew to make such wonderful food, but the thing that I truly love and appreciate about The Raging Skillet is how down to earth and kind everyone was. Leading up to our wedding, Chef Rossi and Charmaine were so helpful in easing our anxieties. And on the day of, such a feast! They truly made our old Brooklyn dreams come true with latkes, knishes, and more! When you hire The Raging Skillet, you are entering into a sacred pact of food and friendship. Such a blessing.

The amazing thing about The Raging Skillet is that while it has all of the flavor and skill that you'd get from a giant corporate catering company, it's actually a more local and personal experience. Chef Rossi knows her stuff. She's got great people skills—which means from just a few short (and cheery!) conversations, she could quickly garner what we actually wanted from our catering in terms of personality. Her love of food and attention detail came through with every bite—and the compliments were rolling in all night long. In a city that's famous for its great food, Chef Rossi and the Raging Skillet somehow went beyond expectations. -

Chef Rossi’s catered my ‘non-wedding’ wedding (aka informal wedding celebration) and the food was superb front to back! She took the time to map out a menu that met our eclectic taste and the result was stupendous! Highlights included the beef skewers, lord-have-mercy, the grilled shrimp 🤤! We’re extremely grateful to have had Chef Rossi on board! And I would be remiss if I didn’t shout out the desert board—holy smokes, the salty brownie was easily among the best I’ve ever tasted! Thank you, Chef Rossi! -

People kept raving about the food, and they were super accommodating about all of the possible dietary restrictions you could imagine that we needed to consider. As a plus, each interaction with Chef Rossi is such a delight. My only regret is not getting a picture with her at the wedding itself! -

I can't say enough about how thankful we are to Chef Rossi for creating the wedding menu of our dreams! We took a minute to warm to Rossi, thinking other vendors had a more "set" way of doing things that would be easier for us. How little did we know. Chef Rossi and her team are true pros who have been doing this for 20+ years and it shows. From the start, she was very clear and firm about what we'd need in terms of staff and support, while also being game for all of our wild menu ideas. In the end, she created a tiny Jewish deli for us in hors d'oeuvres form - pierogis, chicken liver, tofu reubens, white borscht, and more. Our mains were Caribbean-leaning - chutney, arroz con gandules, tropical salad among them. She even made a mumbo sauce chicken to honor my husband's DC roots. There is no other vendor who could handle a menu this eclectic and personal. At every point in the process she met us where we were at and found ways to turn our ideas into reality. The day of the wedding, Rossi and her catering manager Charmaine made everything run smooth as butter - and made truly the most beautiful catering setup we'd ever seen. The food exceeded all expectations - weeks later, we're still hearing raves. My Ukrainian mother said Rossi's chicken liver rivaled her own (words I've never heard from her in my life). My husband and I literally split the mumbo sauce chicken left over for us into smaller and smaller bites for the whole week after because we couldn't part with it. Chef Rossi even left a bottle of the sauce for us on our couples table. I can't say enough about how wonderful Rossi and Charmaine were to us. If you have a chance to have her cater for you, don't hesitate - jump in and you'll never look back. -

I cannot express enough how thankful I am for Chef Rossi, Charmaine, and the rest of The Raging Skillet team! From the beginning, Chef Rossi was warm and welcoming and immediately shared my excitement about the wedding. What I love most about TRS is that everything is customizable and Chef Rossi wants to make sure her food reflects the wedding vision. She paid attention to every little detail I asked for. Creating a menu and signing an agreement with her was such a breeze! Closer to the wedding, her administrative team was totally on top of every change and request I made. I felt at ease going through a walk through, setting up the timeline, and making sure all bases were covered. They have years of experience and that was certainly demonstrated from beginning to end. On top of all that, her food is some of the best food I have ever tasted in my life. It is not typical wedding food and we received hundreds of compliments throughout the reception. Every item on the menu reflected who my husband and I are as people. Chef Rossi is an extremely unique caterer and we absolutely loved every second working with her! Thank you thank you thank you! The TRS helped us create memories that will last a lifetime! -

We had very specific needs because of the groom’s allergies—soy and nuts are in literally everything! When we presented this challenge to Chef Rossi and her team her eyes lit up and she said “I love a challenge!” And boy did she! Chef Rossi created the perfect menu that was not only completely safe for the groom but also interesting, flavorful, and the perfect combination of foods we both love. Chef Rossi seemingly also only hires excellent folks to help her out on the big day! Every single member of her team was knowledgeable, quick, and so incredibly kind. We are so grateful to Chef and her team for helping us to create an amazing wedding that people are still raving about months later. If you’re looking for a delicious custom menu from a chef who deeply cares about her food and her clients, then stop searching and hire The Raging Skillet for your next event. I promise you won’t find someone who cares more! -

When it came to planning our wedding, what we were most excited about what sharing a great meal with our friends and family. The Raging Skillet team delivered on that and so much more!
Chef Rossi's menu was a joyful reflection of our taste and time together (from our family's favorites like shrimp cocktail and pigs in a blanket to the more creative tuna tartar on ridged potato chips!) Friends stopped us all night to tell us how good the food was and continue to email us asking for recipes (in particular, our nephews are demanding more buffalo chicken ice cream cones).
The team was also a joy to work with and made us feel calm and cared for all night. I want to give a special shout-out to Charmaine, who brings humor, joy, and care to everything she does – as one guest put it, "you should take that woman with you everywhere you go; she is amazing!"
I also need to talk about the "oreo crack," the desert of my husband's dreams! Rossi, we will take the recipe when you are ready! Just kidding, it would ruin us – but we will just need to find more occasions in life to celebrate with you and your amazing team!

Chef Rossi, Charmaine, and the rest of the Raging Skillet team were downright wonderful for our wedding this June - I can’t recommend them enough! Chef Rossi’s menu is easily the most interesting and flexible I’ve ever seen, she was super responsive and kind, and always gave thoughtful, detailed answers to any changes we had throughout the process. Oh yeah - and the food was delicious to boot! I think I ate 5 or 6 of the Mac and Cheese fritters all by myself, not to mention the half dozen other delectable apps we had on the menu. The steak was wonderful and I heard nothing but compliments from everyone all night. Their staff was professional and great, and everything went off without a hitch.
And - I must also mention - that a huge thanks for that is due to Charmaine, who helped us through the logistics planning process and coordinated everything decor and layout related with the venue’s rental company. Could not have asked for a better experience - thank y’all so much! -

The food was superb! All my guest raved about each Hors D'oeuvre and recounted how many they ate! I had a buffet of several outstanding main dishes. A filet mignon that you only need a fork to cut, outrageous barbecued salmon and a delicious vegan option. I would recommend Chef Rossi and her team for an unforgetable wedding experience!

We really didn't want a seated dinner, but we weren't sure how we were going to feed our guests enough food if we didn't do something traditional. Chef Rossi and Charmaine worked with us to create a fun menu filled with great food our family and friends would love. They did passed apps for 2 hours, then we provided pizzas that they passed around. It was amazing. They food was spectacular, and Chef Rossi was always honest with us about how much food we needed and what kind of food we needed (our first menu had almost no veg or gluten free options and she worked with us to make sure there was enough food for all dietary needs). Our guests said the food was some of the best they had ever had and that they were so excited we had gone with a less traditional dinner. -

My husband is from Maine and I’m of Caribbean descent and we had dishes that blended and represented our cultures perfectly. My guests were literally licking the plate! Thank you Chef Rossi for designing the perfect menu and thank you to her super coordinator Charmaine! You both and your entire crew made my night perfection! Let’s do it again soon

Together, we worked up a phenomenal fusion menu and they delivered beyond our expectations. Leave it to this crew to execute an Indian-German meal perfectly. Many of our wedding guests said it was the best wedding food they'd ever tasted -- and we agree!
From the get go Rossi and her team were very helpful and accommodative of our slightly left field request of a family style Indian meal and Indian/German hors d'oeuvres.
We would recommend them to anyone who loves delicious food and wants it to be a real showstopper on their wedding day! -

Chef Rossi transcends stereotypical wedding cuisine by focusing on creativity, personalization, and FUN. The Raging Skillet team are total pros when it comes to the nontraditional and making sure that you can customize your menu and experience to exactly how you envision it. We hosted a continuous cocktail style party, meaning a variety of small passed plates for both cocktail hour and dinner, and it was an absolute hit. We received so many compliments from our guests saying how the casual/fun style was totally refreshing and kept things exciting. Everyone loved each bite and we are so glad we had the opportunity to work with Chef Rossi & the RS team! -

We liked Chef Rossi's right from the start with her all caps emails and flexibility when it came to the menu. We wanted to have a cocktail reception with great food, and Chef Rossi and Charmaine, Raging Skillet's catering manager, were really helpful all along the way in figuring out how much food we'd actually need, ways to stay in budget, and how to structure our event so that we keep our party vibe. They were easy to reach and happy to answer any of the many questions that came up, particularly as the event got closer. Bonus, Chef Rossi and Charmaine are really genuine and caring people, and you could feel that show up at our wedding. Charmaine even fixed my dress before I went down the aisle, since everyone else had already gone out! The whole Raging Skillet team was great and our guests loved the food.
