Dream Wedding
My wife and I had the pleasure of hosting our wedding at The Promise Gardens this summer. This venue was a dream location for my wife long before we got engaged, and her dreams were fulfilled every step of the way to our wedding day! Our guests were in awe of the venue, from the obviously eye-catching florals, the backdrop of the Adirondacks, the beauty of the barns and all the small details in between. The new White Willow barn was the perfect dinner space for our guests and it didn’t even exist when we first booked the venue! Of course, Terri and Rachel were very pleasant to work with and made sure all our questions were answered in the months, weeks and days leading up to our special day. If you’re looking for your dream venue in the Lake George/Adirondack area, do yourself a favor and visit The Promise Gardens! -

Ryan and I are beyond fortunate to have found your venue, Terri! It was the first we visited, actually quite by accident, on our way back home from a camping trip in the Adirondacks (near Keene). We were immediately smitten, but tried our best to do our due research... but sure enough, the beauty of the mountains, the flowers, and the property drew us right back. We loved how there were multiple buildings/barns on site and people could flow in and out and around them. It's a venue that encourages wandering and appreciation of all the little beautiful things that surround us.
Even more incredible is that Terri was planning on building a beautiful white barn where the reception tent used to be, and I was lucky enough to see the architect renders when I went to visit a second time! But, I had another idea for the barn... and when I emailed her a rendering that I did, Terri actually took the time to consider it and ultimately implemented it in the final design for the barn!! I think that the finished barn is absolutely gorgeous, with views towards the mountains and a cozy fireplace on the opposite end, and I'm even more proud that it was a collaborative effort. Terri is a wonderful hostess: firm yet very accommodating, kind, and very smart!
There is no other location I could ever want my greatest memory to be remembered at. Thank you for all of your hard work, Terri and co.! Your venue is an inspiration to me as an aspiring architect. Sending you so much love! -

We had our wedding at The Promise Gardens in July 2024. We could not be more satisfied with how it turned out! The new white dinner barn is gorgeous and the breezeway really is the perfect spot for cocktail hour. Our guests raved about this place! Terri and her team show extreme pride in their property and it shows! It is an absolutely beautiful venue and we would recommend it to any couple! -

6/8/24 - the most perfect day of our lives thanks to Terri & her beautiful creation at the promise gardens! Our wedding was an absolute dream! It felt like a fairytale, everyone was in awe of how breathtaking this venue is! The views of the three sister mountains & all of the flowers planted there plus the rustic farm feel makes this venue an absolutely magical place!! We also got lucky that renovations were done for this season and the new white willow barn is STUNNING! It’s so light in there, super spacious, built with climate control (for the brides getting married in the hot summer weather) & beautiful greenery all throughout. I wouldn’t think another second about having your wedding here. It was seriously a dream come true & our guests are still raving over it ☺️☺️☺️
Also I couldn’t help but notice a review about location.. the location was perfect, coming from a bride who’s been visiting LG since I’m a baby.. It was only an 18 minute drive from the village where there’s hundreds of hotels for guests to stay! Couples who are still deciding, look no further - we are still on a high from our wedding day! ❤️ I can talk about this venue for days and days. It was so surreal all thanks to everything this venue has to over 😊 -

The Promise Gardens was the most beautiful venue we ever could have imagined for our wedding. The beauty of the property truly exceeded every expectation we ever could have had. Terri truly has a talent for gardening and clearly had a wonderful vision for her property that she has brought to life for all her guests to enjoy. Terri and her team made us feel like family and were always quick to respond with a text or call for any of our questions.
So many of our guests said it was the most beautiful wedding they had ever been to, not to mention the location in the Adirondacks makes for a very unique wedding experience for our guests. The property feels so private and yet you're only 10 minutes away from Lake George and 40 from Saratoga (where our guests stayed).
The Promise Gardens recommended vendors list was so helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed working with each vendor we chose.
I would recommend the Promise Gardens over and over again. 10/10 was the perfect wedding. Thank you Terri and the Team! :) -

An absolute dream come true!
Terri was incredible. Not only is she one of the kindest people I’ve ever met, she has an amazing property with so much charm. I never knew what my dream wedding venue would be until I saw The Promise Gardens. After I found this venue everything else for my wedding fell into place like it was a sign I found the perfect place. I will always cherish the day I married my best friend at the most amazing venue. -

Absolutely stunning location
Wow, what a STUNNING location. As soon as we walked into the barn we knew no place could compare to The Promise Gardens. Terri takes meticulous care of the gardens and the grounds and has done an incredible amount of work over the past two years to renovate and update. This place is a photographer’s and couple’s dream come true with beautiful little nooks and crannies all over the grounds, gorgeous views of the mountains in the background, and a wonderful canopied walkway complete with twinkling lights. One of our favorite things about The Promise Gardens was the slight separation between dining and dancing areas, allowing those who would prefer to socialize the ability to do so without straining to hear each other but also being close enough to the fun to feel included. We highly recommend The Promise Gardens! Thank you Terri and Danielle! -

Perfection!
The Promise Gardens of the Adirondacks (formerly Burlap & Beams) was the first and only venue that my then fiancé and I looked at. As soon as we stepped on to the grounds we knew that it was the only place we could see ourselves getting married. The main selling points for us were: the view (oh my, those mountains are gorgeous), the fact that there were multiple barns which gave people the opportunity to spread out, the fire pit, and of course the gorgeous gardens.
We were originally supposed to get married in 2020 but Covid had other plans. Terri (venue owner) was super responsive and quick to offer alternate dates for 2021 without requiring us to pay 2021 prices, which unfortunately several other vendors did require. Although we were not thrilled to have to postpone our wedding for a year, throughout that time Terri went to town making updates and making the property even more gorgeous. One of my favorite additions that she added was a porch with tables off of the dance floor/bar area. We ended up having our dream wedding in July of this year and it was PERFECT.
Guests are still raving about how gorgeous it was, and there were countless locations for perfect photos. I wish I could do it all over again there, the venue is so magical! -

June 2021 Wedding
I couldn't imagine a more perfect venue to get married at. When we saw the venue in June of 2020, it was beautiful, but the upgrades Terri made over the past year made it even better! One of my favorite things about the venue is it's so beautiful as is. Terri has done a great job decorating the barn with lights, drapery, and wall hangings, so we just had to provide table décor and accents to add our personal touches! There were so many picture opportunities, and lots of space for people to spread out and mingle. We especially loved having the porch attached to the barn, so guests who didn't want to dance, but still wanted to be close to the party, could hang out. One thing to keep in mind is the music must end at 10pm... this is mapped out in the contract, but just something to keep in mind! Thankfully we had a sunny day and were able to get married in front of the mountains. It was more beautiful than we could have imagined. Truly a day we will never forget! -

This location is absolutely beautiful! Breathtaking! They had done amazing updates from when we first visited the venue and we couldn’t be happier. Everyone was in absolute awe of the beauty of the venue. The ceremony space was perfect, with mountains in the background, and the barns are impeccable. Honestly, the fact that the venue was this incredible made up for all the other glitches from the vendors I chose for the event. Thank god i chose this venue, because on my big day, it’s beauty blinded me from all other issues. The owner has incredible flowers blooming everywhere, a fire pit which they light for you, and gorgeous accommodations for the bride and groom to get ready. It’s just absolutely lovely. You don’t have to bother spending money on decorations or flowers. I can not wait to get my photos! It’s a photographers dream! I can’t speak enough to this venue. I wish I could convince my friends to marry there so I have an excuse to go back! The owner Terry is very lucky to call that location home! -

Beautiful Adirondack Venue Catered to Fit Each Couple
My wife and I were searching for a rustic and charming Adirondack location for our wedding, so we were enamored with Burlap and Beams the second we stumbled upon its website. The pristine mountain backdrop perfect balance of understated elegance in the barns made us feel right at home! Terri was thoughtful and extremely helpful as we consulted with her, providing some valuable tips during planning. We booked the venue over a year in advance, and each time we visited we were thrilled to see Terri's exciting new updates - from the small touches such as tulle accents draped from the ceiling, to bolder statement pieces like the gorgeous live edge bar top.
The venue was easy to personalize, so we incorporated our own designs into the decor. Looking at photos from weddings both before and after ours at B&B, we felt that each was unique, appreciating that it was not a one-size-fits-all experience. Opting for simpler centerpieces and flowers, we chose to let the natural beauty of the venue speak for itself. It did not disappoint! Guests were raving about the place, enjoying games of corn hole, sitting and chatting around the fire pit, and soaking in truly remarkable views. We felt that Burlap and Beams reflected our style impeccably and would highly recommend it! -

When we first saw this venue via internet we fell in love with it instantly. So much that we booked it right away. Terris venue was everything we were looking for. My husband and I just recently got married at Burlap and Beams on 10/6/2018. This was the only venue we looked at it well over a year ago and I knew instantly it was perfect. The combination of an exquisite background of the lower Adirondacks, stunning renovated barns, and an owner who puts so much care and love into her property made booking Burlap and Beams a no-brainer.
All of my questions over the past year were promptly answered by Terri, not only with information but with a personalized genuineness that made me feel like I wasn’t just “another bride.” Over the course of the year, many upgrades were made to the already beautiful barns such as a brand new bar, upgraded chandeliers and lights, and more gorgeous plants and flowers than you can imagine (all planted and maintained by Terri.)
The day of our wedding was pure magic. The property was so gorgeous under the overcast, fall day. The fog over the mountains behind where we were married, combined with the foliage of the mountains, was epic and surreal. Terri switched out some beautiful hydrangea garlands over the cocktail hour space because she wanted fresh flowers for the day. (I’ll note that every time I have been to the barns she is out and about getting her hands dirty with planting and decorating.) The space is interactive multiple buildings. It is the perfect size, too. It didn’t feel too big for a smaller wedding of 80, such as ours. It is also large enough to hold many more people, without it feeling too cramped.
The main barn is literally done for you; you don’t have to do a THING. The lights, garlands over the brand new bar and on the walls, and new lighting create this amazing atmosphere. While she used to have a huge mason jar chandelier, she upgraded this past season to these gorgeous wrought iron chandeliers. With that said, even though this venue is a barn and it’s name may have the word “burlap” in in, it is by no means your run of the mill generic “rustic barn” style venue. Terri most definitely knows how to update the barn as the seasons change and different wedding decor goes in and out of style (as well as maintain the staples that remain season after season.) Burlap and Beams also has a barn that is filled with decorations. We used wood slabs for our centerpieces, chalkboard easels, and a number of other decorative pieces that were all there for us to use. In addition to the barns, the property extends to a flowing brook surrounded by trees. There are hanging lights scattered throughout the trees, as well. This made for an EPIC photo location, it was so gorgeous.
I am so happy we found Burlap and Beams. Terri is wonderful and an amazing owner of this gorgeous property. The value is excellent and if you are someone who visions a more DIY-style wedding where you can opt for something other than a pre-packaged plan, Burlap and Beams is for you. -

Jeanne Sent on 08/13/2018Burlap and Beams was the perfect venue for our wedding! From the beautiful rustic barns, to the mountainous backdrop, to the wonderful landscaping, everything was gorgeous!
Everything leading up to our wedding went very smoothly. We booked last minute, one of the last dates available for 2018. Terri was very accommodating, especially since we had such a short amount of time to book all of our vendors. She was very responsive whenever I had questions, both via email and text message. Don't let the initial 'rules and regulations' that she has in place scare you away. Everything that is asked of those attending or working the event are all in place to keep this wonderful venue the way it is....wonderful!
The barns and outdoor spaces all have beautiful decor, which allowed us not only to save money but time as well. There was no need to worry about decorations as everything she has already in place is amazing. There are so many special places to take pictures. The newly renovated bar area was top notch. The lighting and flower arrangement above the bar, the bar top and the canoe hanging on the wall were all nice touches. She does a wonderful job keeping the place beautiful.
We were one of the unlucky...or lucky....couples to have it rain during our outdoor ceremony. As a result of this we instantly needed a new plan to move the ceremony into the large barn. This was done without a hitch....other than being wet! Terri came to check on me to be sure I wasn't having a meltdown. This just goes to show you what a wonderful person she truly is. She puts so much heart and soul into this venue. It was a real pleasure to be able to work with her and get married at such a memorable place!

Malarie Sent on 08/11/2018My husband and I got married at Burlap and Beams in June 2018! I do not know where to even begin with how magical and perfect our wedding day was! Burlap and Beams is such a fairy tale wedding venue and if you want a unique not "cookie cutter" wedding, then have it here! Our guest are still talking about how beautiful the grounds were with breathtaking views! We cannot stop looking at our photos and just remembering how amazing our day was! When looking for where we wanted our wedding we stumbled on Burlap and Beams and instantly fell in love. From the view during the ceremony, to the dinner tent, to fire pit, barn, and so much more it was perfect! There was so many fun moments we had at our wedding and it is a big thanks to Burlap and Beams! The variety at this venue made it so every guest could have their perfect day! Our guests were able to dance in the barn, eat in the dinner tent, play corn hole, jenga, and bocce, make a smore at the fire pit, or sit in the groomsmen's suite to talk. It was literally a fairy tale wedding! Terri is the owner of the grounds and she is absolutely amazing! We booked our wedding day about a year before the big day and she was always helpful with any questions/concerns we had! She really helped make everything perfect and her suggested vendors list was perfect for us since we live in Philadelphia! She helped eased our mind with so much during the planning the process!! Burlap and Beams is such a breathtaking and beautiful place to get married and we would recommend this venue to anyone who is looking to have the most unique and beautiful wedding! Our wedding guest cannot stop talking about how beautiful the venue was and how our wedding was not like anyone else’s! We cannot thank Terri enough for having this property and making our wedding day magical!

Emma Sent on 08/06/2018Burlap and Beams was the perfect venue for our summer wedding! The scenery is unbelievable; from the beautiful mountains in the background as we said our vows under the greenery filled arch, to the spacious patio where we had our first dance, the charming, rustic barns where our guests enjoyed the celebration, and of course the incredible gardens and landscaping. All of the perfectly curated spaces make for incredible pictures, which was something that was very important to us when choosing a venue. We were able to have our first look by the secluded creek on property, and we took photos posing in and around the beautiful barns and gardens.
The owner, Terri, was so easy to work with and was very accomodating. You can tell how much she truly takes pride in making every couple’s day the best it can be. The attention to detail that she has put into the venue is amazing, and that really makes it a one of a kind place to have a wedding. All of our guests were amazed at how absolutely stunning the venue was (with minimal decor provided by us). We looked at many venues prior to finding Burlap and Beams, and one thing that really struck us was how impersonal and bare they all seemed to be, and how much work we would need to put into decorating them. When we first toured the barns, we could see ourselves getting married there just the way it was. Everything was so beautiful just as it was!
We also love the layout of the venue. It has such a great flow to it! We were able to use the second barn as a whiskey bar and have a bonfire (complete with s’mores) after dinner. Our party of 140 guests never felt cramped or crowded as people were able to spread out to the different areas during the reception. The bridal barn was a perfect space for me and my bridesmaids to get ready in, complete with a big couch and chairs that were great for taking photos on, while my husband and the groomsmen enjoyed hanging out in the second barn prior to the ceremony. -

Colleen Sent on 05/09/2018We were so lucky to have found Burlap and Beams as it really was the dream venue we envisioned. The property was immaculate and it was the perfect setting for a perfect Adirondack wedding. You can tell Terri takes such great pride in the space and is constantly making great upgrades. It was awesome to be able to have some of Terri's props to chose from for our day as they really added a nice touch to our ceremony. We were fortunate to have an experienced off premise caterer, and would suggest it, as there are some logistical pieces to work out, in order to pull of a multiple coursed plated dinner. Our guests could not stop raving about how great it was to be able to mull around the property and enjoy the fire pit when they needed a quick break from the dancing!! We couldn't image a better flow and ambiance for our wedding than what Burlap and Beams provided!

Mary Sent on 01/02/2018My husband and I got married at Burlap and Beams on October 21, 2017 and it was the wedding of my dreams. We could not be more thrilled with every aspect of our wedding. Terry went above and beyond to make sure everything was flawless and was so accommodating and friendly, we cannot thank her enough. We looked at hundreds of venues before selecting Burlap and Beams. Walking up the stairs into this beautiful barn you are taken away, the barn is breathtaking and everything we were looking for. We are already talking about hosting a 10 year anniversary party there.

Alyssa Sent on 11/05/2017My husband and I got married at Burlap and Beams on August 19, 2017. We had looked at other venues but the moment we visited Burlap we knew it was the perfect place. Every little detail was exactly like we had dreamed. Terri is a wonderful person, and works so hard for each and every one of her couples. She was there for every question or worry we had and worked with us through every little struggle of wedding planning. We planned our wedding from states away as we are a military family and it couldn't have gone any smoother thanks to Terri. She even surprised us. When we booked the venue there wasn't any permanent bathrooms yet, as we were going through the process she informed us that they had recently built some as a convenience to all of her couples/guests! Absolutely amazing! She continues to improve upon the already incredible venue and I highly recommend having your wedding here <3 Thank you again Terri for everything!

Jessica Sent on 10/10/2017Set among the Adirondack Mountains, Burlap & Beams is a truly magical place, and we will always remember the incredibly day we had here. I cannot speak highly enough of Terri's willingness to work with us as we planned for our big day. After our initial booking, we had an unexpected conflict that required us to change the date. Terri was so kind and encouraging. Without hesitating she helped us re-book. We were working with several vendors who traveled from Philadelphia with us, and as the planning process progressed there were plenty of questions that came up. Terri was always ready and willing to exchange emails or chat on the phone in order to help. The venue itself is such a special place. Terri and her husband have put so much love into every inch of the property-- we especially loved the glow of the patio between the main barn and reception tent as the sun went down. We were fortunate that the rain on our wedding day let up just as we arrived and gave way to beautiful low hanging clouds on the mountains and a stunning sun set later on. With that said, Burlap & Beams is set up so that even in the rain you have plenty of wonderful options for the day. I would encourage anyone looking for an Adirondack venue to consider Terri's place!

We signed the contract for our wedding 2 years before the date. We had a change in our financial situation and realized we could no longer afford the venue. We informed B&B 1.5 years in advance of the date that we had booked that we would need to cancel our booking. While I completely understand we signed a contract saying the 3,000 deposit is non-negotiable, I am shocked that she has refused to reimburse us a dime of this deposit. She has ignored all emails. I am pretty sure that our original date of October 17, 2020 has been rebooked for this venue, so I find it inexcusable and disrespectful she will not give us ANY of our $3,000 deposit back. I would not recommend doing business with this company for this reason- too risky in case something changes, with no understanding or sympathy.
