We had the most magical experience at The Poplars in May, 2022. We rented the houses and pavilion for a week and are so glad we did. Our family and guests were able to arrive early and enjoy beautiful Bearwallow Mountain- hiking on the nature conservancy trails and hanging out in the hot tubs. The houses were designed thoughtfully, with everything we needed for the week. The owner was responsive and helpful- making sure all of our needs were met throughout the week and for our rehearsal dinner. We had 75 person rehearsal dinner at the Poplars Pavilion and everyone loved the venue. The weather was beautiful- a spring fog settled between The Poplars and it was magic! The catering company, Celine and Company, had no problem accessing or setting up at the venue. My husband and I 10/10 recommend this venue. We are so thankful we had this quiet, gorgeous retreat during our wedding week! Thank you Poplars team! -

The best wedding weekend
This venue couldn’t have been any more perfect. The owner, Alan, was VERY responsive and accommodating. He continues to upkeep and add features to the venue. All of my guests couldn’t stop talking about how beautiful it was. We had about 90 guests and we fit comfortably with extra space if we needed it. We also loved that our wedding party and family was able to stay on site. It was the perfect weekend for us. -

We had our wedding at the Poplars at Bearwallow Mountain this past October and I don't believe there exists any other place more perfect than this, at least not for us. We had a destination wedding and wanted a place in which all of our family could stay for the weekend. It was a perfect Fall weekend.
Alan and Annie were very accommodating and helpful. We booked the place without even visiting. I was in the area a couple of weeks before the wedding and scheduled a walkthrough with Alan. He took the time to show me the property, gave us pointers and suggestions based on what others had done before and toured the houses. I provided the layout for our tables for the pavilion, our ceremony chairs as well as our timeline and it was all set up before we arrived. It was so nice to have the extra time to decorate and hang out with our friends and families.

Words can not even describe how wonderful and what an absolute godsend The Poplars at Bearwallow Mountain was as a wedding venue and accommodations for both my family and my in-laws. Planning a wedding during Covid was a nightmare and I found The Poplars after having one wedding venue cancelled on me (less than 2 months before the wedding). I couldn’t be more happy about the last minute changes. The events director, Kristen, was so helpful and quick to respond to any questions I had. I had been left hanging several times with the previous venue, so that was extremely appreciated. When we were there for the event both the owner, Alan, and Kristen were extremely helpful and bent over backwards to make it a wonderful experience for all of us. Both for the wedding day itself as well as the week that we stayed on the property. The two houses on the property are absolutely beautiful and the pavilion was exactly we wanted: an area big enough to have food and dancing as well as tables to sit and eat. I really couldn’t have picked a more perfect spot to celebrate our marriage with our family and friends. While I don’t recommend starting from scratch less than months before your wedding, I do highly recommend booking The Poplars :) It was worth all the last minute stress. Not only was it significantly cheaper than any other venue I looked at, it has beautiful views from the venue and both accommodations. -

This venue was perfect for our intimate ceremony. The adventurous drive up the mountain is rewarded by breathtaking views and a tranquil privacy that you wouldn’t be able to find at most venues. We enjoyed having the days before the ceremony to spend time with our families in the beautiful cottages and prepare for the big day. I’d also like to mention that the owner is very accommodating and the events director Kristen is so helpful and thorough! -

My husband and I just had our wedding at their amazing venue! It was perfect! Spectacularly beautiful! Alan and Anne worked with us every step of the way and were such great hosts! The house is spacious and clean. We had plenty of room for our whole bridal party. There’s great hiking right off the property, but the property itself has gorgeous views of the mountains! I 100% recommend their cabin for events, wedding, weekend get aways, and personal retreats! -
