We are incredibly grateful to Lucy for the amazing work she did to make our special day perfect for us, our family and friends. From the first day that we met her, she made every aspect of the planning for the event completely effortless and exciting. Lucy coordinated every detail with each vendor as well as the venue and made recommendations that ensured our expectations were fully met. The entire process of planning was stress free and the day of our Celebration of Marriage was perfect.
We will cherish the memories for many years.

The Perfect Planner for a Perfect Weekend
If you are looking to have the wedding weekend of your dreams, look no further! When we first selected our wedding venue, the venue gave us a list of recommended wedding planners to choose from. After speaking to each vendor, we were sort of at a loss as to which one to select, and so we went back to the venue and pressed them as to who they would MOST recommend. They said we should go with Lucy, and with our wedding now complete, it is not hard to see why.
From beginning to end, Lucy was a complete pro: methodical, organized, and detailed. She negotiated quotes and handled contracts from vendors across each area of the wedding: DJ, ceremony strings, photography and video, floral/décor, furniture, hair/makeup, and more. She even helped us plan our Friday night (night before) event. Throughout each step of the way, she was communicative and accommodative to our needs.
One highlight from our time working with Lucy was how responsive and adaptable she was to changes. We changed the design scheme/concept shortly before the event, and she was able to work with the vendors to help modify everything to fit the new vision. At the same time, she was also able to work with our ceremony strings vendor to upgrade from a duo to a quartet on short notice, and accommodate a host of other last-minute changes: last minute wedding party swap outs, music changes, and seating arrangement modifications. When I wasn’t sure how to draft a wedding party photo list that could fit within the designated time window, Lucy was able to take the initiative to draft it herself.
As people who are not exactly experts in things like florals, design, or décor, Lucy’s practical suggestions to help bring our broader conceptual vision to a practical reality were also very much appreciated, whether it was stationary items like invitations, save the dates, or signage, or other elements like furniture, florals, and silverware. Organizing a wedding can be completely overwhelming due simply to the volume of decisions required, and when the wedding venue emails you two weeks in advance asking you about your preferred napkin fold, Lucy is there to step in, offer her expertise, and save you your valuable time.
During wedding weekend, Lucy is professional, detailed, and organized, even when chaos reigns and there are a million things going on. During our ceremony rehearsal the day before the wedding, she had printed timelines ready to go for all family and wedding party members, and presented a detailed overview of wedding day events and each person’s responsibility. She specifically made sure that everyone involved in the wedding had her contact details and information, so that they could reach out directly to her with any logistical questions and leave the couple (us) to focus on enjoying our wedding.
But perhaps most importantly, Lucy makes sure to give you a VIP focus during your wedding. Small little details, like her coming over to the head table during the reception and asking us if she could get either of us anything, such as a drink, really meant a lot and were just an indicator of how she goes above and beyond what her contracted role was to elevate the event into a truly extraordinary experience.
Ultimately, the wedding planner is the fundamental building block for the entire rest of your wedding. If you want that event to be everything you have hoped and dreamed for, there is simply no better place to start than with Lucy. -

If I could give Lucy 100 stars I would. I did not give her much time, a mere 7 months, to plan a 100 person wedding. She quickly provided me with a detailed line item budget, suggested vendors, answered every late night email, and provided support far beyond what I could have ever expected. In what can be a chaotic time for every bride, Lucy was a shining beacon, guiding me every step of the way, from detailed timelines, to vendor choices, and in times where I hit decision fatigue and needed her to step in, to helping navigate complicated family dynamics. I cannot sing her praises enough. The smartest investment I made for my wedding was having Lucy guide me, and I could not have done it without her. -

Lucy Tan from The Perfect Knot is an amazing wedding planner. We got married in Aug, 2025 and selected partial wedding planning, and honestly got so much more than what we would consider partial! Lucy really goes above and beyond. We were thrilled with all aspects of her services - professionalism, organization, communication, attention to detail, and passion for her craft. You can tell how much she cares about bringing your dream wedding vision to life. We got married at a resort, but had so many outside vendors, a huge wedding party and guest list, and Lucy managed it perfectly. She kept everything organized, on time, and always came prepared to all meetings. We are so grateful. There were no problems and everything went so smoothly because of her. I would 100% recommend her to all brides and am hoping that all of my engaged friends will use Lucy for their weddings as well! -

Lucy is an absolute pleasure to work with, and I would give her my highest recommendation for anyone looking for a wedding planner!
There are two things that I wanted to highlight about her: 1. Organization and 2. Empathy.
In terms of organization, Lucy is proactive in emailing/texting to set up calls and meetings. She always calls on time and will show up early to in-person meetings. These may seem like little things, but it makes a big difference when you work together over the course of several months. During our meetings, she always took detailed notes and would send a nice summary afterwards for us to keep track of everything. She knows how to balance following up on things that need our input while also making sure not to spam/overwhelm our inboxes.
Another thing that we liked about Lucy was that she did a great job of trying to understand what we wanted our wedding to look/feel like, and she connected us with the right vendors to be able to make it a reality. There are a million different decisions you need to make while planning a wedding, and Lucy was great at breaking down each component in ways that were easy for us to make progress on. It really felt like she understood what we wanted, and everything turned out just as we imagined on our wedding day.
One last thing I wanted to mention was just how nice it was to work with Lucy. She never made us feel like any question or idea was too silly, and she often went above and beyond to make sure our wedding day turned out just the way we wanted it to. We couldn’t have asked for a better planner!

I don’t think my wedding would have even been possible without Lucy’s amazing support and experience. Our venue required a wedding planner and Lucy came highly recommended. She made the entire planning process so easy. I was honestly dreading the whole experience of planning my wedding but Lucy actually helped me to enjoy It. She has amazing relationships with all of the vendors she recommended and each one we worked with couldn’t say enough kind words about her. I truly had no worries leading up to my wedding because I knew Lucy had everything handled. The day of my wedding I couldn’t have been more calm knowing that everything would go smoothly with Lucy there. She handled everything and just told us where we needed to be. I don't even know where to begin. You NEED Lucy as your wedding planner/coordinator! At first I was worried I wouldn't be able to hire Lucy for my wedding since it was in Huntington Beach and not San Diego, but I am so happy she agreed! I was MOH for a different wedding planned and coordinated by Lucy and knew I had to have her for my own. Lucy will go above and beyond for you in ways you didn't even know you needed. I had "all the bigs things" taken care of, so I thought I had plenty of time and there wasn't much left that I needed to do. Man, was I wrong. My wedding date was quickly approaching and right when I was feeling the pressure, Lucy took over and saved me. After our consultation she understood our (my husband and my) wedding vision and what was important to us. She coordinated all of the vendors and communicated with the venue to ensure we were all on the same page. She created a wedding timeline with a breakdown of each event. She even developed a "to do" checklist for me with (soft) deadlines to keep me on track (I am a horrible procrastinator). These are only the things that were pertinent to my participation. There were things behind the scenes that she took care of too. Things such as proper paperwork, vendor proof of insurance, and answering vendor/venue questions. I'm sure there were more, but this is the extent of my knowledge. Lucy really wants to make sure that you have nothing to worry about once she takes over for you. You can be rest assured that she understands your vision and you can trust her completely to make it come true.
My (now) husband is the planner of our relationship and I am very Type B. I am also a nurse so I experience decision fatigue rather quickly. The day of my wedding, I didn't want to think anymore. The questions and decisions became overstimulating, I could no longer do it. At one point I turned to Lucy and asked her to "just tell me what to do", and she did just that. With grace and gentle guidance I might add. She kept us on track throughout the entire wedding and I LOVED that she was with me the entire time. I received so many compliments from my bridesmaids and groomsmen about Lucy being extremely organized and amazing at her job (We're older so we've been in and attended many weddings at this point). My matron of honor got married in San Diego and used the venue's provided day of coordinator. She told me she wished she knew about Lucy sooner and would have GLADLY paid for her services because it would have been money well spent. Don't make the same mistake and hire Lucy for your wedding! I promise you won't regret it. I can't thank you enough Lucy and your team for everything! -

I cannot even begin to explain how incredible Lucy is...SHE MADE OUR WEDDING DAY PERFECT!!!
At first, my husband and I did not really think/ know we needed a wedding planner, but we were quite incorrect and I could not imagine our day without Lucy. We started our planning with her 3 months before our wedding and she made everything so seamless for us. Between making our complete schedule, contacting the vendors, and being our "fairy godmother" the entire duration of our wedding day, Lucy made sure everything moved on time, we had everything we needed, and everything was in its place. Even down to small details like having fashion tape, bobby pins in her purse, Lucy thought of everything. Every time I would feel stressed that we were behind on timing, Lucy was always there to reassure us that everything was moving exactly as it should. She also took the time to bring our things up from the reception room, to our hotel room so we did not have to collect these items ourselves. She thought of all the small things, which turned into big things that made our day unreal
Our guests loved her, our wedding party adored her, and we had the most amazing day because of her. We love Lucy so so much! -

We were recommended Lucy by our wedding venue, La Valencia. Hiring Lucy was the best decision we made when we started planning our wedding! Well, she planned it! She took all the stress of the process from us and our family, letting us relax and enjoy the season. She told us time and time again she was there for us and asked us time and time again if we needed anything. And she was truly there for us. It got to the point we didn’t need anything else because she had taken care of everything, usually long before we even realized a need. We came to feel like she is an old friend, supportive of us and our big day, and genuinely excited to share in it with us. All our vendors were her recommendations, that ended up so wonderfully capturing our uniqueness, especially the ones she chose for us when we didn’t know what we wanted. Our wedding day was honestly perfect, so peaceful and easy. We all truly got to experience the day, taking it all in. We will be talking about that day, and the whole process leading up to it, for a very long time, all because of Lucy’s creativity, care, and excellence. From the first time we spoke I knew that I was in good hands. 6 weeks to wedding day, Lucy took over planning seamlessly and I felt a huge weight lifted off my shoulders. Even before then, she was gracious in answering questions when I needed an expert opinion. In the days leading up to my wedding and on wedding day specifically I didn't have to think about timelines, set up, vendor communications, or any other details - we could just enjoy ourselves. I typically have issues delegating or relinquishing control in other areas of life but I knew that I could trust Lucy to handle everything and she did not let me down! My favorite thing about her is that besides being an expert wedding coordinator with wonderful attention to detail, she has such a pleasant and warm persona that absolutely put me at ease during a very emotionally intense few days. I could not recommend her more and you should absolutely work with her - you won't regret it. -

Our perfect day with the help of The Perfect Knot
Lucy is amazing! My husband and I had the most beautiful and perfect wedding day, and we were able to relax and really enjoy being in the moment knowing Lucy had everything under control.
Lucy is the wedding coordinator we didn't know we needed. We started working with Lucy shortly after we booked our venue a few months before our wedding day. Lucy gently guided us through the planning process and kept us on track while we planned our wedding in about five months with busy work schedules. She recommended and provided introductions to our photographer, officiant, baker, hair and makeup artists and more, handled communication and coordination of all the logistics, created a timeline and made sure everything went smoothly on our wedding day. We worked with a great group of vendors and Lucy made sure all the details came together for our guests to enjoy and for us to have a day we will always cherish. And she was lovely to work with too.
I would highly recommend working with Lucy for an enjoyable planning experience and stress free wedding day! -

I cannot say enough great things about Lucy. Being the Type A planner that I am, it was extremely important to me to entrust someone who I knew would understand my vision and make our wedding day perfect, and Lucy did just that. She was always so responsive and had answers to all my questions, and she didn't miss a single detail! Lucy is kind, organized, thorough, and thoughtful. Even though I had a timeline in my head for the day, I never had to get to the point of writing it out because she was a step ahead and put together a perfect timeline that put into consideration not only the things that were important to me, but also things I hadn't thought of like what time we should go down by the beach for sunset photos. While our wedding venue did have preferred vendors, I asked Lucy for recommendations for hair and makeup and I ended up loving the woman I hired for that as well! Lucy reached out to all my vendors ahead of the wedding and made sure they had the timeline, knew when and where to arrive, and coordinated any insurance paperwork that was needed from them. On the day of our wedding, I never had to worry about whether things were being set up correctly, whether vendors had arrived on time, whether the guests knew where to go, whether we would get back our items, or anything else, because I knew she was on top of it. Of all the vendors I hired, Lucy was absolutely the one I was the happiest with and I am so thankful for her! -

Choose Lucy!
JUST BOOK LUCY AND YOU WILL BE FOREVER GRATEFUL. Please read below for just a snip bit of why.
The one vendor you do not want to forgo due to budget is your wedding planner. This is an investment that pays dividends, plus more, especially if you hire Lucy. You plan your wedding for months or even over a year in advance; thus, you want to ensure you can enjoy that day (trust me, it will fly by due to the busy schedule alone) thus you want to ensure you have everything in place to enjoy that moment you deserve.
Lucy is such a genuinely sweet individual who just has the purest intentions for you and your spouse. No words can describe her value, her work ethic and kind spirit. There was one moment where I was very nervous due to unhealthy family dynamics, and she picked up on it instantly and provided a moment of support that allowed me to remember I am safe. This is something she did not have to do, but just speaks volumes to her character.
Lucy is extremely organized and ensured that I had everything finalized well in advance before the wedding. I have never planned a wedding before so it was nice to have a resource to ensure I, indeed finished everything. She had contacted all of my vendors for me, obtained all of their documents required by the venue, established the timeline, arranged each vendor's arrival times and locations, set up reserve signs for me at the ceremony, created a timeline for the bridal party, and so much more. She was able to tame our rambunctious bridal party. It was great. She has a variety of plans to fit your need and budget, so please inquire with Lucy.
I think something important to note is that through all of the emails and channels of communication, she never missed one detail, and trust me, many things change the month and weeks before the wedding. But she did not miss one single thing.
My husband and I are forever grateful to Lucy and her team. We would not have had the wedding of our dreams if it was not for Lucy. I hope you choose Lucy to be a part of your wedding. It will be the one decision you will find the most value in (besides marrying your spouse!) Happy wedding planning!

I hired Lucy for the Month of Coordinator / Day of for our wedding at La Valencia on August 13, 2023. If you need a coordinator, do not hesitate to work with Lucy! She is amazing! Even if you are planning your wedding yourself like I did.. We had a short 6 month engagement so I did all the research for vendors and what type of set up I wanted.. There is so much more to planning and executing the perfect day than what I could do. You can buy all your decor, signs, organize vendors, but when it comes to the month of planning and the day of coordination, you will want to have Lucy by your side making sure everything goes well. She is exceptional at what she does. She does offer services for full blown wedding planning from start to finish which I didn't need but I know if you are interested in that, she would be amazing to have. Lucy is very organized, communicative and calming. My nerves were starting to get the best of me and she is so cool, calm, collected and that really helped me out on our wedding day. She was also amazing leading up to the wedding and communicated via email and text with me and answered all of my questions and gave me friendly reminders of things I needed to get to her. She communicated with all my vendors and took that stress off of me. It was amazing how she just seamlessly organizes everything to make your day perfect. She executed our day perfectly and didn't forget anything. My husband I loved working with her and on our wedding day my family met her and loved her as well. She really is the nicest and sweetest person. I highly recommend working with her for whatever type of wedding you are planning. :) -

QUEEN LUCY!! That is what all of my bridesmaids were calling her during our wedding weekend. From the start, Lucy has been so incredible. My husband and I had no clue where to start with planning a multi-day, multi-culture wedding and Lucy was soooo helpful. Hiring Lucy to coordinate our wedding is quite possibly the best choice we made throughout the entire planning process. She was incredibly communicative, supportive, patient and provided the guidance we needed while we sorted out the never ending details of our big day.
Prior to the big day, she managed our full day's timeline, communication between our many vendors, kept me on track time wise, and managed to calm me down when certain aspects of planning caused me frustration.
She was kind enough to make sure our ceremony rehearsal was straightforward and quick, leaving us to enjoy our rehearsal dinner and time with our friends and family the night before the wedding.
On the morning of our wedding, Lucy made sure that everyone was where they needed to be, every detail was in order, nothing was misplaced or forgotten. She made sure that I drank and ate throughout the morning, decorated the entire reception area with the help of her assistant and the florist (everything was stunning and well beyond my expectations), rounded up my large family so that I got all the group family pictures I wanted, and ran back to our hotel room to grab things I had forgotten in all the chaos.
If you are on the fence and think you may not need a wedding coordinator, save yourself the stress and hire Lucy. You will absolutely not regret it. You deserve a fun, beautiful, stress free day and she can help you achieve it! Our day was PERFECT and we owe so much of that to her. Thank you Lucy!!! -

Lucy is an amazing wedding coordinator. She is extremely organized and attentive to every detail. Her ability to plan, anticipate, and manage the show made the lead up to and day of our wedding seamless.

My husband and I are convinced that if we hadn't hired Lucy, our wedding would not have happened on the day and in the way we wanted. This is how essential her guidance, support and experience were to making our wedding possible in the midst of challenging and stressful family events. Even without these events, I highly recommend hiring a coordinator, especially for destination weddings.
We live in Seattle but got engaged and planned our wedding in San Diego. As non-locals, it was critical to have someone with experience and local contacts to help us narrow down the vendors and options, which is undoubtedly one of the most time-consuming and overwhelming parts of the wedding planning. Lucy is experienced, focused, and attentive--she will listen and understand the couple's preferences, style, unique circumstances, budget, and will keep all of those factors in consideration throughout the planning phase and on the day of the wedding.
We also very much appreciated that Lucy tried to come up with more cost-saving options and was incredibly helpful in guiding us regarding a million details and decisions given that we both came into the wedding planning pretty clueless. My then fiance and I had lots of questions in the beginning, later followed by many ideas --Lucy was key to helping us understand what was important and prioritize accordingly. She also beautifully and quickly incorporated all of our ideas into a wedding day timeline so that it flowed smoothly and perfectly. In addition to her great event planning skills, Lucy is a great person to work with: she's open, considerate, and kind and yet is ready to share her opinion and honest feedback when asked.
On the day of, Lucy ran the show: she got everything well-coordinated and covered--from vendors, small and big details, timing, bridal party, guests, and us. I have no idea how she managed to be everywhere and keep an eye out on everything yet never being in the center of attention. Lucy truly made the wedding seem to flow effortlessly and perfectly, managing it all from behind the scenes. It is an impressive ability that we did not take for granted! Also, despite it being a SD wedding, it started pouring rain on our wedding day. While we were disappointed regarding the timing of the weather, I didnt worry at all about the ceremony (the location of which had to change since the rehearsal), because I knew that Lucy had a back-up plan in mind. It is hard to overstate how much of a difference it made to have Lucy by our side and running the day so that we could just let go, not look at the time, not stress about back-up plans and details, and instead be in the moment and enjoy our special day.
We had a truly fantastic wedding despite the rain, resulting in a change of plans on the day of. Many of our guests noticed how well-planned our day was and we got tons of compliments about it being one of the most fun and enjoyable weddings they have ever attended. Lucy played a key role in making all that happen, and we are forever grateful. -

Where do I even begin? Lucy was an integral part of planning and executing our wedding. We hired her 7 months out from our wedding date and she helped us plan each step - from helping us with checklists, helping us find vendors, confirming all details, decorating - and most importantly being a source of emotional support through the stress of planning. Lucy is knowledgeable, organized, calm, and made our day feel effortless, even though I knew she was doing one million things behind the scenes. First off, if you are on the fence about hiring a wedding coordinator, just do it! It doesn't matter if your wedding will be big or small, casual or fancy, in a back yard or on a yacht, I promise it will be the best investment you could make for your wedding! Secondly, HIRE LUCY!!! If I could give 100 stars I would! Lucy was incredible. From big picture plans to day of details, Lucy made things seamless on a day that many brides refer to as stressful!
She made excellent recommendations, set up site visits and taste testing's, did all the follow up and gave insightful suggestions based on her experience that were game changers. Lucy had every "i" dotted and "t" crossed. She was so in tune with what we wanted for our day and she was able to bring it to life perfectly.
I can't even begin to express my gratitude for all she did for our wedding. She was such a delight to work with, and we could not have been happier with the service she provided. -
