    Amazing venue amazing level of service

    We had the absolute best time at our wedding, it was truly the best day ever, and exceeded our expectations in every way. The food was phenomenal, the drinks were perfect, and the table settings and everything came together so beautifully. It felt very us and we felt like we had a lot of input but that everything was taken care of and the stress off of us. The service was incredible and elevated the night in a way that no amount of drapery or flower arrangements could have. Lauren, Lindsey and her team (big shout out to Shannon) are so talented and I would 10/10 recommend trusting them with your special day.

    This is THE spot!!!

    If you want a wedding that feels effortless, joyful, and downright unforgettable, The Penny is where you do it. We got married here last month and it was the BEST day of our lives!! Choosing to have our day here was hands-down the smartest decision we made. From the second we stepped into the venue for our first tour, everything just clicked. We live in Arizona but knew we wanted to get married on the Central Coast. During our tour, Lauren truly listened to what mattered to us and showed us exactly how those details would come to life on our wedding day. That meant everything. We weren’t just potential clients touring a venue, we were fiancés getting ready to celebrate the rest of our lives together, and Lauren never lost sight of that.

    Once we signed on, our planner Lindsey walked us through every detail with so much confidence and warmth that planning from a state away actually felt easy. Something we didn’t really think about during this whole process is just how much time you end up spending with your planner - leaning on them to help you through the day, asking them for advice. By the end of it all, Lindsey felt like an old friend and we knew we could trust her with our vision for the day.

    The Penny has a preferred vendor list that is absolutely epic, and it was SUPER helpful for people like us who weren’t local. They were also completely open to working with any vendors we’d already chosen. We picked our bar and catering from their preferred list and came back out for tastings with each. Both experiences were incredible - I could write full reviews on each of them too!! We also chose to use a few other vendors from their list and we were so glad we did. Great venues attract great partners, and it showed every step of the way.

    The entire team at The Penny brings real passion to what they do, and you can feel it in every moment. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how seamless the day was and how stunning the space is. The Penny gave us the wedding we dreamed of and then some - we want to relive this day over and over and over. We cannot recommend The Penny enough!!

    The Perfect Wedding Venue in SLO

    We had such an amazing experience working with The Penny! The building is such an awesome space and we loved having the mix of indoor/outdoor to take advantage of the great weather. We opted for the all-inclusive package and it was an absolute game changer - having all the decor options, the lounge space (essential!!), catering, bar service, desert, and coordination included saved us so much hassle (and probably our sanity). Lindsey was on top of everything we needed in the lead-up with helping design the tablescapes and floor plans to coordinating with all our vendors, and Lauren ran everything flawlessly weekend-of. Everything was absolutely gorgeous - everyone (including us!) had such an amazing time and we are so grateful for the whole team that made our day perfect!

    Perfect Fit For Our 75 Person Wedding

    The Penny is absolutely amazing!!! From the moment we toured the venue, we were immediately impressed and knew it would be a great fit for our wedding. We also hired them for their wedding coordination services, and it was the best decision we made. The entire team was excellent (especially our coordinator Lindsey). They all went so far above and beyond what we ever expected. I couldn't have been happier with both the year long planning process and the actual wedding day itself. They actually made the entire planning stress-free, as we leaned heavily on them for vendor recommendations, rentals, decorations, and everything turned out absolutely perfect. The wedding day was seamless, easy, and truly beautiful. I genuinely can't recommend this venue and their incredible team enough!

    Best staff, best venue, 10/10!

    I can't recommend The Penny enough. It was the first and only venue I saw because when we walked in, I could just tell the people who make the magic happen and the place itself was special. With our package, they handled nearly everything and made the wedding planning process enjoyable (!!!!!). Leading up to the event was seamless and easy, and day-of was even better. They know how to run a smooth and successful event and I truly had no complaints or issues - none! I cannot thank the team (shoutout Lindsey and Lauren!) enough, they made my dream a reality and now I'm sad it's over and we don't get to work together anymore. 1000/10, if you're considering this place, DO IT!

    Amazing downtown SLO venue - highly recommend

    We got married at The Penny in November 2023 - we planned our wedding in 6 months and Lauren and her team were stellar. I really appreciated how much I could lean on them for the design / aesthetics of the day and didn't need to coordinate decor rentals since they have so many items in house. Lauren's team took care of every contract, timeline, set-up everything. Her team is detailed, kind, and on top of everything. In general, The Penny is a great location and really lovely venue. We had 70 people at our wedding, and the size of the space felt just right. I would highly recommend The Penny - not just for weddings, but any event!

    Our dream wedding!

    The Penny was the perfect venue for our wedding with about 100 guests. The team was incredible and enthusiastic to work with and did SO much to make the entire process easy for us. This is the perfect wedding venue if you want to have a walkable downtown area and plan a nearby after party! The team put so much into making all the decor and set up for the day flawless. I would highly recommend utilizing their month of coordinator option too.

    Amazing Venue.

    i love the penny, everything about it is amazing. the distance to everything and all the photo ops make it extremely convenient. the venue is insanely gorgeous and the girls that work there are sooo helpful. they truly listened to everything i had wanted and set it up exactly as i would’ve done.

    Loved everything about The Penny!

    We had the best experience with The Penny for our wedding. Lauren, Anelise and Tiana were all so wonderful to work with throughout the entire wedding planning process. I loved how easy The Penny made it for rentals so we did not have to go through outside companies. They also did an amazing job with "my vision" and the space looked so beautiful the day of the ceremony and I could not have been happier. I definitely recommend adding the 'day of coordinator' to your package, they will start contacting your vendors 6 weeks before the date and save you from a lot of headaches and stress :)

    Hands down amazing!

    My husband and I can not say enough amazing things about Lauren, Anelise and the rest of The Penny team. The venue was amazing, so beautiful and so versatile (so many different styles of weddings look amazing in this space). They have a tremendous and beautiful selection of items you can rent in-house (tables, chairs, photobooth, lounge sets, florals and SO MUCH more!!) that we found to be very affordable. The Penny also offers in-house coordination, which we were EXTREMELY impressed with. I would recommend the in-house coordination service to anyone. We do not have one compliant, all around amazing service and experience.

    Such an amazing space and experience!

    We had the BEST experience working with The Penny. It is such a beautiful and unique event space in the Central Coast. The staff was so kind and easy to work with. They were incredibly responsive and worked hard to make the event run seamlessly and make our vision come to life. They offer a variety of amazing vendors and coordinate with them to get everything set up smoothly. It was such a great experience working alongside everyone at The Penny and I would highly recommend using them for your next event!

    The Penny- a beautiful venue!

    The Penny is in the heart of downtown SLO and is beautiful. We found this place for our wedding just by walking by and we were beyond happy that we found this hidden gem. Lauren and Anelise were extremely helpful with the whole process from start to finish for our wedding. they truly know the venue space and what works well. They gave wonderful recommendations for vendors to use. During the wedding they were both great at checking in but also staying in the background to make sure that we and our guests enjoyed the day without any issues.
    We would highly recommend this venue to anyone to use whether its a wedding or just a special event. The staff was wonderful to work with and that made all the difference.
