Amazing Experience!
The Painted Table was the caterer for my wedding last October. They did an incredible job with both the menu and presentation. My husband is from Colombia and they put together a creative Colombian inspired menu. It was both delicious (I am still thinking of the tres leches cake) and fresh! The staff was very friendly and professional. They even made sure my husband and I got a chance to taste the appetizers while we were so busy with photos and greeting guests. I will definitely be thinking of the Painted Table for future events and highly recommend their services.The Painted Table was the caterer for my wedding last October. Terrific caterer
The Painted Table was the caterer for our daughter’s wedding reception at the end of October, and they did an absolutely amazing job. Our son-in-law is from Colombia, and the Painted Table team came up with a wonderful Colombian menu that everyone loved, including those from Colombia. We had so many compliments on the food – everything was delicious, and the presentation was great. Our catering manager Melissa gave us her phone number and email, and we had no problems reaching her when needed. We also had many compliments on the level of service and the staff at the reception. We really felt that the Painted Table team went above and beyond to provide us with the best food and service. Overall painted table was amazing to work with. Kati and Melissa went above and beyond to accommodate to our 1/2 vegetarian guests.

The Painted Table was not my original catering vendor because I felt it was beyond our budget, however when I got the call from our venue stating they had switch their preferred catering vendor to the Painted Table I was very pleased! The tasting was done in a group setting with other brides-to-be from my same venue which was actually quite nice! They do offer a private tasting if you prefer that! They were extremely welcoming and ready to jump right into getting my prefect menu set for my big day! I must say it was a little difficult to set our menu simply because ALL the food was amazing! I would highly recommend them for any event! -

My daughter's November 12 wedding at Panoche Creek River Ranch was catered by this company. I worked with Kati Hill over the year leading up to the event. She was very responsive to my many questions. Painted Table did the place settings (Kati asked for photos of our desired set-up and made sure they were executed). The food was DELICIOUS with an autumn seasonal emphasis. We had two appetizers and 3 choices on entrees, including a fantastic vegetarian lasagna. The coffee bar was wonderful, and I highly recommend it if you are doing a late fall or winter wedding. The service staff was very helpful. My daughter and her husband-to-be wanted to do an international/travel theme wedding and Jeromie came up with the idea for a four-sided buffet with Asian, Italian, Mexican and American foods. They were all delicious!
Our guests and the photographer and DJ all commented that they'd never had such an interesting menu at a wedding.
The presentation of the buffet table and the appetizer (fruits and cheeses) table were beautiful and very creative.
The staff were all very helpful before the event and everything went very smoothly.
The service staff and the chef were excellent and I can't say enough about how much that was appreciated.

The only problem was that the party had to end and we look forward to booking The Painted Table for each of our anniversaries! We highly recommend them. The Painted Table are not for everyone we admit. They are really for foodies and people who appreciate the hard work that they put into the level of catering services they provide. A perfect picnic in Yosemite
Thank you for putting together the cutest (and tastiest!) picnic for our elopement in Yosemite! We opted to have a socially distant picnic with the few guests that we had at our elopement ceremony and reached out to The Painted Table for catering. I was so excited to find out that they could provide not just the food, but also picnic baskets, and even blankets if we desired!
Vanessa was great in providing us with a menu with a variety of options to pick from that would travel well and split easily - and when it all showed up (on time - YES!), everything was packed with care, and with extra decorative touches that were so unexpected,...Thank you for putting together the cutest (and tastiest!) picnic for our elopement in Yosemite! Great venue. We used for our baby shower/surprise wedding ceremony. It is such a fun and funky venue, but still has a formal/fancy enough feeling. Best wedding food!!
The painted table’s wedding day execution was phenomenal and especially considering our large guest count of 235 guest.
All of the tray passed apps were amazing and fresh, the dinner was phenomenal, and their service staff was kind and professional. I have nothing but amazing things to say about the service and food they delivered. Amazing Vegan & Non-Vegan Options!!
I could not recommend the Painted Table enough!! I recently got married in October of this year in Groveland, CA. In August, I was connected with Augie, who was terrific to work with and made planning a wedding in such a short amount of time seamless. He, along with Vanessa, made the process flawless.
It was an intimate group but we needed vegan, vegetarian options, and the painted table did not disappoint. The vegan and nonvegan appetizers were a hit! We also went with a vegan cake option (chocolate and vanilla) and it was delicious! The servers, bartenders, Augie, and his wife, were lovely and made the entire process stress free. But great communication, and really flexible and willing to work with whatever we demanded! We also didn't get any champange at the toast, they forgot to serve us. My only complaint was that I had asked them to serve the meat for my buffet (knowing how my guests tend to pile their plates) and they didn't. After the wedding one of the servers told me the guests were getting a lot of the meat and there wasn't enough food for everyone. The servers didn't bring water to our table until halfway through our meal, and our wine glasses were empty for most of dinner even though we paid extra for tableside wine pouring. One of the bartenders had a poor attitude and we heard complaints about her...Overall, we would give 4.5 stars for the food, but 2 stars for service.

Apparently the sales person that originally worked on our order was no longer at the company, and many charges we had agreed to months ago were changed, which turned into a bit of a fire drill a few days before the wedding. -

We had an unpleasant experience with PT. The food was good, but the communication and customer service leading up to our wedding was severely lacking, and at times simply unprofessional and unkind. PT is the big name in town and wins awards, but it appears they may be resting on their laurels.
Our initial meeting went well and they were very supportive of our ideas, but reneged on certain aspects of our agreement. When we asked why, they said they never agreed to it in the first place and that we had a misunderstanding. We accepted it, even though our paperwork from them had it all in writing.
Leading up to the event, our quote had numerous...We had an unpleasant experience with PT. We were told the proposal was not wrong and essentially that we just didn't understand how catering works. A week before our wedding, we were so discouraged, we were considering canceling, which they said they were totally fine with... rather than simply reviewing the bill with us to see where the mistakes were and moving forward. We asked for a sit down meeting to try to identify the errors, and they (reluctantly) agreed.
At the meeting, we pointed out the errors. For example, they charged for the same staffing twice. There were also places where the numbers or the math were simply wrong. These issues totaled thousands of dollars. Throughout the meeting, PT was defensive and condescending. They acted as if our expectation to have a correct bill was unreasonable and made several comments about how much of an inconvenience it was. They ultimately sent the correct bill, we paid it, and they catered our wedding. To this day, there hasn't been any form of contriteness or an apology for telling us multiple times it was our mistake/misunderstanding.
As I mentioned, they made a lot of promises in our first meeting that were not kept, and we made a lot of concessions. However, after all the mistakes and their disregard for our concerns, we have realized this company just does not pay attention to the details and does not take ownership of their mistakes. Perhaps it was the individuals we worked with specifically, but the customer service interactions got very unprofessional and unkind in the end. It left a bad taste (no pun intended, because the food was good!) in our mouths.
We would never hire them again and urge whoever is reading this to look at all the other reviews because we took a closer look after our issues and found this to be a theme. I think being a big fish in a small pond leads to many industry accomplishments that overlook the true nature of PT – a large company that can perform well for your event in the end but can also be very, very difficult to work with along the way. -

The Painted Table was the carter for my daughter's wedding. The meal was not served until 9:30pm, two hours after it was to be served. Some of our guests had to leave without eating. They did not serve what we contracted for. Overall the food was either not cooked or over cooked and not hot. If all our guests had shown up, then there would have not been enough food. My husband I used them to cater our wedding last summer, unfortunately it was a nightmare getting to our wedding day. Once they received our deposit, getting an email or phone call answered or returned was like pulling teeth. (We were planning our wedding in only 3 months due to us expecting our first child and the fact that I had just been diagnosed with breast cancer at the same time). In those 3 months we had 3 different point of contacts, the last one being less than 2 weeks before the wedding. Each time, we would have to walk each new person through everything again, it was really the last thing I needed to be stressed about, especially...My husband I used them to cater our wedding last summer, unfortunately it was a nightmare getting to our wedding day. I could go on and on about the stress of trying to get anyone to answer my questions or call me back. But some of the most ridiculous things that happened; 2 days before my wedding they called and said they couldn't find apricots for our salads (we had requested figs 4 times), then I have an email stating they would leave any leftovers since we were spending over $150 per person with the intention that we would have a lot of leftovers (not only did they not do this, but they took or threw away our desserts we did not purchase through them), I specifically asked for decaf coffee (there was no decaf coffee), I asked wine to be set on the table (no wine was put on tables until I continually had to hunt someone down and our dinner was half way through)
Horrible, horrible experience no bride or any human should be subject to, they are the most disorganized business I've ever done business with. Sad part is their food is actually good, but they really need to get their s**t together! -
