    Brunch Wedding

Loren was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. The whole team was a pleasure on our day, and everyone complimented the food. The omelettes were cooked to perfection and they provided the freshest fruits and veggies. Thank you for making our day even more special!

    Delicious and Professional

We hired the Omelette Chefs for our laid back park pavilion reception. Everything was delicious, we had the omelette station and belgian waffles with a bunch of other add ons. We were super pleased with everything! The only thing that was below expectations was the "mimosa bar", which was really just a punch bowl with mimosa in it (tasted great though!). Other than that, everything was better than expected and so tasty!
Laurel, the booking coordinator was really helpful and great to work with. I had a lot of questions before the big day and she was quick to respond and always able to assuage any concerns I had. She even offered to have the chefs set up a little early (free of charge!) after I was worried about noise during the ceremony (everything was in the same location). We didn't hear a peep from them! The staff was courteous and professional. Service was quick, we paid for an extra half hour that we didn't end up needing. Line did back up a little bit, so some table by table organization was needed. Would definitely hire Omelette Chefs again, super happy with them!

    Mr. Omelette Caters

Initially things started out a little rocky. However the Omelette Carters Staff pulled it together, The food was excellent and the staff is great. They are helpful and knowledgeable and the best thing is that they clean up thoroughly after themselves. Staff is very friendly.

I was planning to serve breakfast at an employee appreciation function. I put calls out to 3 companies that advertise as omelet makers. One returned my call a week later and the other gave me a quote and a contract that made me feel as if I was buying a car, it’s just omelets... But, Laurel at the Omelet Chefs Catering in Bowie MD was the best she gave the full price upfront so I wouldn't have to guess or be surprised!! She followed up days prior to the event and broke down the cost again... Due to the fact that I had been here before, on the day of the event I had extra money, thinking that it had to be some hidden charge. But to my surprise,,, bill was just as quoted...

Because we are located on a government facility and as visitor, their vehicle may be subject to a security inspection upon entry, resulting in a possible delay at the gate. I requested that they arrive by 0515. The chefs where were at the facility by 0445. They were the most professional and amazing young individuals. I have seen in a long time…They set-up promptly and moved the line efficiently. Everyone raved about the food. All I can say is WOW!!!

I used the Omelette Chefs for my brunch wedding and couldn't be happier with the service we got. Our guests raved about the food! From my first inquiry to the end of our reception the staff were friendly, responsive, and easy to work with. They were the only vendor I talked to who gave me the full price upfront so I wouldn't have to guess or be surprised when it was time to settle - and the prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend them!

I was looking for a caterer in the Baltimore area that was affordable - my budget was $20 - $25 per person. It seemed like I wasn't going to be able to find anyone for that price. I did find several that were within that price range, but their reviews were so spotty that I was afraid to use them - you don't want to be a bride that got the caterer on a "bad day".

A friend of mine, who's also a chef, recommended them to me. She had been to a wedding last October that they catered and said the food was delicious. I trusted her opinion and looked into them. They had delicious food options and affordable prices! They were so much within my price range that after deciding to have a "crepe party" for the reception, I was also able to go back and add a fresh fruit display, a cheese and cracker display, a fresh veggie display and a mimosa bar for my guests during the appetizer hour. Since the cost per person includes dinner rolls and beverages (but beverages provided are only tea and coffee), I decided to add a bottle of chilled water for each guest, too. This was great when the dancing started!

Here's how it works: they are exhibition chefs and will cook the food your guests choose right in front of them. When you set up a contract with them you are getting the number of chefs that are needed based on the number of guests you will have. The chefs will cook and serve food for the amount of time you hire them for, but they cannot perform other serving duties and man their stations. If you need other servers, you can hire them from The Omelette Chefs for an additional cost. After I got all my RSVPs back, I realized I had more flexibility than I expected in my food budget and hired two extra servers to distribute cake slices and pour champagne for the toast. They also cleared tables throughout dinner.

I didn't get to eat much during the reception, but what I did eat was absolutely delicious. The servers and chefs were friendly and very professional in appearance and in manner. I only wish I had gotten to eat more. Leslie, their booking coordinator, is the person you'll spend the most time working with regarding the details of your contract - she is a gem. Very responsive and detail-oriented. They really do their best to accommodate you if there's anything you'd like to do differently.

You might also be wondering about table ware. The Omelette Chefs will provide heavy-duty plastic table ware for any food they serve - it is included in your contract and it isn't chintzy. If you prefer to provide your own (either in part or in full), they are willing to subtract that cost from your contract. I opted to provide my own plastic silver flatware, but they provided all the rest. I also had to purchase my own plastic toasting flutes (check out Dollar Tree Direct if you're looking for some sturdy, affordable ones!).

Other things you might want to know:
    - They don't have a facility for tastings, but are willing to provide numerous references from people in the area that have used them.
    - They prefer to cater in private homes or businesses, as many commercial venues have long lists of rules and regulations that they don't want to mess around with. You'll need to let them review your venue's guidelines before they'll agree to cater at that location. It just so happens that The Other Barn doesn't have crazy regulations accompanying their commercial kitchen, so they agreed to cater there.
    - They cook with gas burners. This may or may not matter to you, but it's good to know. They need the fast cooking time provided by gas burners for the crepes. Perhaps they can use electric burners for other types of food - not sure.

I would highly recommend The Omelette Chefs. They even stayed a little past the contracted time to help serve cake and champange when my timeline got off by about half an hour. Not all caterers will do that. These people are wonderful to work with.
