What dreams are made of!
Alexis and the Mission Theatre team are outstanding to work with. Alexis is VERY knowledgeable with event flow/layout and as an event planner myself, I was extremely appreciative of her attention to detail and responsiveness. The venue itself is like a palace for a princess. Every detail was clearly thought out and executed to perfection (SO many photo opportunities from the beautifully lights strung in the alleyway to the absolutely gorgeous wallpaper throughout - even in the bathrooms!!). You will have the BEST DAY EVER having a wedding here.-

Great wedding venue!!
10/10 recommend!
I am so glad we chose the theatre for our venue! We have gotten nothing but compliments about how unique and beautiful the venue was! The space fit our 135 guests perfectly and looked so good! The suites are so nice and set up so well for getting ready in! Literally every aspect of our experience with The Mission Theatre was great and hassle free! Sena made everything go so smoothly and I am so grateful for her and the rest of the staff!-

Class Banquet
Sena was simply amazing. She communicated throughout the process. It can be difficult to plan big events but she made it easy. Her response time via email was less than 24 hours, and she always answered every question and was very honest. Sena was also available via phone. Please book with her, you won't regret it. -

The PERFECT location for wedding day!
Mission Theatre was perfect for our big day!! Sena and her team were amazing! She was always there to answer any questions and was very professional and was prepared for it all. Everything was made crystal clear during our final walk through. The venue was the perfect size for us and the bridal suite was the best place to get ready day of as well. We had our ceremony and reception at Mission Theatre and a room flip was required but it was so smooth and hardly noticeable at all. All of our guests were enjoying their drinks and the room was flipped so quick. The bar service was great as well, everyone was truly just so kind and sweet. The marquee sign was one of my favorite touches too, which we were able to customize for our wedding day. We also did all of our pictures on sight as well, utilizing the marquee sign in our photos and the cute alleyway off to the side for our first look. I loved our ceremony on the stage and we placed our sweetheart table on the stage for dinner. Then we were able to celebrate the night away without a worry in the world. Honestly, I have zero complaints. Our wedding day went so smoothly and Mission Theatre and their amazing team was a huge reason why. It was almost scary how stress free our wedding day was. I couldn't recommend this location enough! -

Wonderful venue

Beyond Amazing
We couldn’t have asked for a better ceremony & reception, Sena is amazing to work with. She is very detailed oriented and goes above and beyond to accommodate your requests and needs. The venue is timeless, elegant, and beautiful. They also have a bridal & grooms suite, no other venue had both! We can’t say enough great things about Sena and the venue! Thank you so much for making our day magical. -

We wouldn't choose or recommend anywhere else!
With all the venues to choose from, this one is truly SO unique, special and affordable! The renovated movie theater is beautiful inside with an ambiance that is different than anywhere else. You truly become the stars of your event for all the world and your guests to see - with the red carpet entrance under the two sided movie marquee and three huge movie poster windows to display whatever special photos you choose to enlarge and put on display. Easy to find and great curb appeal with blocks of renewed streets, sidewalks and parking.
The layout and amenities inside are awesome and the venue is impressive before you even begin to decorate. The staff is friendly, professional and wonderful to work with - customizing every detail you request and ensuring it's all in place according to your wishes. We couldn't imagine having our wedding anywhere else, and we are so happy with our choice. For a classic and unique venue with a theme and execution like none other, The Mission Theatre is perfect.-

5 Stars! Beautiful venue and Easy to work with!
We have worked with Mission Theatre on multiple events! It is a beautiful venue, with many added amenities included with the rental of this space. The staff is super easy to work with which makes hosting an event at this venue a breeze! I would highly recommend Mission Theatre! -

Hidden Gem
This venue is tucked away in old downtown mission with such character! There is beautiful wallpaper everywhere that makes you feel like you walked into the 1920's. -

Felt Like a Star
My husband and I fell in love with The Mission Theatre when we first toured, and as movie lovers, an old theatre was the perfect place to host our wedding reception. The theatre has been beautifully renovated on the inside and out. We especially loved our photos in front of the personalizable marquee. Jaime was amazing to work with, checking in along the way and making sure everything was in place for our special day. All the event staff was amazing during our reception and I cannot thank them enough. I highly recommend choosing The Mission Theatre for your wedding day!-

Beautiful venue with great owners!
I had my wedding here and it is a beautiful venue with fantastic people working for them. We delayed our wedding due to Covid and The Mission Theatre worked with us to ensure we got a new date that we were happy with. The Mission Theatre team was super helpful by answering all of our questions in a timely manner and with being flexible to meet on our schedule. I cannot recommend this venue enough. Seriously go check it out! -

This was a 10 out of 10 venue. Would recommend to anybody who asked. The mission theater staff was very responsive, professional, & made our day!
The Mission Theatre staff was amazing! We enjoyed working with them since the beginning. I felt confident to email at anytime and my questions were always answered within 24 hours. The day of our wedding the staff went above and beyond. Was friendly to all our guests and made the day special!-

Amazing Venue!
We had an awesome experience at Mission Theatre. They were extremely helpful when it came to planning a “covid” wedding and were super helpful especially with me having to switch my venue to Mission Theatre a couple months before. I definitely recommend the space and the team they have is awesome too! -

Couldn’t have had a better experience
They were so flexible and understanding with changes due to covid. Communication was always prompt and clear. Everyone loved the venue!! It is so beautiful you don’t have to add much to it. Perfect for our ceremony and reception. The crew the hired for the night of was also outstanding, and we loved the DJ from the company they use (Doug - AMAZING!). I seriously couldn’t have asked for a better experience with a venue-

Dream come true
My husband and I chose Mission Theatre for our big day. We could not have made a better choice. It is a perfect location, the staff were amazing throughout the entire planning process and the day of. The "Gatsby" feel we got when we first toured sold us on the venue. It has such a unique personality that we couldn't get married anywhere else!
If we had to do it over again, we would definitely go with Mission Theatre again! Thanks for Main Street Events for making this venue available for us!

Beautiful Venue, Amazing Staff
The venue itself is beautiful; the main event space has plenty of room for guests to mingle & dance. The bar is dual sided so we could get drinks quick & easy! The bridal & groom suite were loaded with everything you could need for the day. Plenty of space for all 8 of my bridesmaids & I to get ready with our hair & makeup team. The grooms suite was equipped with poker chips, a tv, and other things to keep the guys entertained while they waited for us girls to get ready.
The team at the venue made the experience a breeze. They were great at communicating, whether that was answering my many questions or setting up meetings to see the venue with our planner & our final walkthrough. They were on top of it all. Alexis was super helpful & knowledgeable during our final walkthrough so the day would be perfect. On the day of, Taylorwas there the whole time to make sure everything was set up & ready for our ceremony & reception.
Honestly could not imagine hosting our wedding anywhere else; it was such an amazing night thanks to the help of everyone at The Mission Theatre.

The Mission Theatre has been an excellent venue over the past three years for our non-profit’s fundraiser. The staff is very helpful at working within our budget parameters while delivering an excellent product. We will continue to use this venue for years to come! -

amazing venue!
This venue has got it all. I have always been told it is in the details and believe our day was so special and perfect because of all the unique details it had to offer! From the marquee, to movie signs, to the stage, bridal sweet, lighting, stairs, and so much more, we loved it all! Alexa is seriously a rockstar! She is a great asset to the Mission Theatre team! She definitely saved the day at our wedding by going to multiple stores to find a sewing kit when my husband ripped his pants! :) We absolutely loved working with everyone at the Mission Theatre, including the fabulous owners. Alexa stayed in contact and kept us updated every step of the way. Her amazing communication skills made this the absolute easiest interaction with any of our vendors throughout the entire wedding planning process. I loved everything about it so much that I wish I could do it all over again! Our guests raved about the newly renovated space and how beautiful and clean it was. If I could give them 10 stars, I would! -

I practically felt like I was stealing from them, their package is so good!!! Derek is so easy to work with, extremely laid back. The DJ they supplied (Ben Warner) was wonderful to work with. Bar service, set up for event, rehearsal, everything taken care of. Definitely took the stress off my shoulders! -

Loved this place and all the staff! Derrick was great to work with. Always responded to my emails quickly. He did a great job marrying us to. Ben, the DJ couldnt have been more fun. He even taught me a dance move. The bartenders also amazing. I swear my glass was never empty. They also had a photo booth that everyone loved. It was nice to have so many things included in the very affordable cost. best night of my life! -

My (now) husband and I wanted to approach our wedding ceremony and reception as if we'd never seen a wedding before. The Mission Theater was the absolute perfect place for us - it was beautiful, perfect comfortable space for our friends and family - and the people at the theater were friendly and helpful. They made everything easy and gave us lots of time and space to make our wedding exactly how we wanted it to be. I am 100% happy with how things turned out and would recommend this theater to anyone. -

Words can’t describe how wonderful this venue was to me, my husband and our family. I was the kind of bride that had several questions and a vision of exactly what I wanted. Ryan was incredible about responding quickly and effectively to all my questions. There were a couple of details that I had to remind Ryan about, which is expected and everything was handled quickly. Ryan and his staff were beyond amazing the day of the wedding with details, setup and last minute changes. The staff had a helpful and fun attitude with the entire wedding party throughout the day. They are very flexible to make sure that the bride and groom are happy. The theatre provides such a romantic atmosphere for a ceremony and a fun environment for a reception. The flow of the reception was great as well as the DJ services. The staff had great communication with me thru out the entire event. We had several guests tell us how much fun they had. Guests also commented on what a cool and fun vibe the venue had. I would recommend this venue and great staff to anyone. If you want a romantic but fun wedding where you dance the night away this is the place to have your wedding. -

Our ceremony and reception were PERFECT! Ryan and Derrick were wonderful to work with. Everything went smoothly and our guests really enjoyed themselves. I'm so glad that the best party I've ever been to was my own wedding:) You get SOOOO much for you money having it there. This venue is for the couple who wants a relaxed party with great music and people dancing all night! -

The Mission Theatre was awesome for my wedding and reception. I could not of asked for more. Ryan and his staff were wonderful to work with, they were very polite and helpful in everyway. The night was a great success and everyone had a ball! They have a great set up and schedule. Everything went as planned, and we got to do everything that we wanted to do plus more ;-) It was the best night ever!

I couldn't have asked for a better reception site. Ryan and the staff were nothing but helpful. Everything went as planned. They even set up all our decorations so we wouldn't have to stress over them. We also used their Photography service and they did a great job in giving us all that we wanted. I would recommend the mission theatre to everyone. We loved it and so did all our guest. -

We couldn't be any happier that we selected The Mission Theatre as our venue for our wedding and reception. They were tireless in making sure that our wedding went smoothly, and they stepped up to handle all issues so that we would be able to relax and enjoy the festivities. They actually even let our event run over our scheduled time, which was a really special surprise. We would highly recommend this venue to anyone. We were concerned about the DJ being "included" and not someone we specifically chose, but they did a tremendous job and the dance floor was going until the early hours of the morning. -

We had my daughters wedding reception on 4/9/11 and I really enjoyed working with Ryan and Traci, they were very professional, quick to respond to questions and did a great job keeping the reception "moving" that night. The only thing I wish that the Icee machine would have been working, that was a big selling item for my daughter and her husband as they don't drink and for it not to be working was a disappointment. -

My husband and I had our reception at The Mission Theatre on Sept. 19, 2009 and absoutely enjoyed every minute of it. It was laid back, Ryan made the entire event smooth and funny. Great personality for a DJ! The staff was wonderful as well. I did a lot of research on reception sites due to our budget and this was by far the best bang for your buck! They even went above and beyond and used their bus to make a couple trips back and forth from the Ramada Inn. I would definitely sugest this place to any bride!

My wedding reception held here was fabulous. They were willing to accommodate some of my more unique requests for the event including the use of a dance floor decal, homemade photobooth, and college mascot appearance. They were very attentive the entire night even getting the bride and groom drinks when they were low! I got many compliments on the music played as well. They kept the party going the whole night with a nice variety of music that kept people on the dance floor the whole time. The vintage theater atmosphere really makes the place warm and intimate. With this venue you really get an outstanding bang for your buck. It far surpasses the other generic banquet halls, country clubs, and even ball rooms that cost much more. I also had my photography through this vender and they had photos that were taken earlier that day at the ceremony playing on the theater screen by the end of the night in a slide show for everyone to see. It was really above and beyond what we expected. We can't wait to see the completed photography package. -

Ryan has been great so far - a truly non stress person to work with. The reception rental INCLUDES linens, beer and wine and soda, DJ services, an original venue, plus our names on the marquee out front! Great experience! -

Mission Theatre made sure to get back to me whenever I had any questions. They also had a great deal where a ton of the essentials are included in the price! That made it easier for those who are on a budget. If you get married in the off season it's very reasonable! We were also able to get in early in the morning so our band could set up early and our centerpieces could be put together. It was a great experience for a perfect day. -

The Mission Theatre is a gem! The owner, Ryan, was super helpful and the place was absolutely beautiful. We had a ton of people tell us that they had never been to a more beautiful or fun wedding. The catering can be an issue, as there is not much of a kitchen, but we had a full dinner as our ceremony was at four, and it worked out just fine. For the price, you will not find a better value or more elegant setting. Ryan is also an excellent DJ and his services are included in the rental fee, although you can outsource if you prefer. I would recommend the Mission Theatre to any bride looking for a ceremony and/or reception venue. -

The staff and management at Mission Theatre was absolutely fantastic. Everything went smoothly and there were absolutely no concerns on my fiancee or my behalf that things were going well. The package at the theatre that we used included the officiant for the ceremony, DJ, bartenders and drinks, ceremony and reception, as well as the setup and tear down of the hall for a total group of 150 guests. We could not have asked for a better place for our wedding. Thank you to Ryan and his entire staff for the great day. -

We were very impressed with The Mission Theatre for our daughter's wedding. We have heard nothing but great remarks on how lovely the ceremony and the reception was. Ryan knew what he was doing and made sure the whole day ran smoothly and into the evening helped us make a very memorable wedding for Shelly and Blayne. I would highly recommend The Mission Theatre.

The Mission Theatre was absolutely amazing! Ryan was great to work with and I wouldn't change a thing. He recently had the carpet replaced with hardwood floors and also had the dance floor refinished. It looks fantastic in there! All of our guests raved about how great of a place it was. I cannot recommend this place enough!! It absolutely cannot be beat for what you get for your money! -

The Mission Theatre group really made my wedding day awesome. The staff made sure everything was done on time and correct. Derek was very helpful with a special song I did for the guests during the ceremony. Mike was a huge help in everything related to the rehersal and ceremony. The bartenders worked fast and kept my guests happy. The theatre was absolutely beautiful! I wouldn't have changed anything about that day, venue included! Thanks so much Mission Theatre! -

When I was looking for a venue to have my wedding reception I feel in love with the idea of having it at a movie theatre. My fiancé and I had our first date at the movies and we are both movie buffs. When I showed him the pictures of Mission Theatre he was determined to have our reception there. We read a lot of reviews on The Mission Theatre (some good, some bad) but we still decided to go forward and I am happy that we did. Ryan was laid back yet still professional. He took our concerns and criticism and made any necessary changes. We got married on the hottest day in July (107 degrees without the heat index) and the venue was kept at a good temperature. I honestly felt that I got my money's worth at the venue. His staff (though some are a little rough around the edges in appearance) was extremely helpful and fulfilled the needs we had on our wedding day. I am so happy that this venue was flexible with my needs as a bride prior to the wedding. Ryan honestly made my husband and I feel special on our day.
Now for areas I would improve. I wish there was a separate space for the men to hang out. The area that was indicated (the Surf Bar) was not cool enough for them to be in there, so they were upstairs in the bridal suite. I do realize that Ryan is doing a renovation, but I wish that area was available. I also feel as though they need new drapes in the room. In pictures that I've seen they are pretty dingy in the photos but not to the naked eye.

Overall we were very pleased with our reception at the Mission Theatre. Having worked in the event business before I was picky, but Ryan did a good job and helped to make our day a success. There isn't a full kitchen, but you would never know (if you choose the right caterer who is familiar with the space) our food was on time, amazing, and the service was great. Ryan was very attentive during the reception. He checked with us constantly to make sure we were happy and he did a great job keeping everything on track. It is a GREAT value in a very unique setting. If I had to mention something that wasn't 100% I would say that by the end of the evening the music got off track and cleared the dance floor and some songs we requested were missed. Also, there are alot of improvement projects going on in the rooms around the main theatre that you have to be willing to overlook. It was a great evening though and Ryan added a lot of little touches that made it beautiful. It was really low stress...which is something every bride needs. Ryan was also very flexible with our arrival, decorating, and clean up times. It was a great day and I would reccommend it to future brides. -

Everything at Mission Theatre went very smoothly. Ryan and his staff truly did go above and beyond the call of duty by assisting us in any way possible. Ryan was also excellent in the DJ/Personality catagory. He made sure everything was to our satisfaction.
Ryan managed to throw in details to our ceremony that we had just told him about moments before going on stage.
An excellent job on our ceremony, slideshows and every other detail throughout our wedding day!

Mission Theater is a one stop shop (almost). They provide ceremony, reception, deejay, alcohol/beverages. They are very laid back and let you do almost anything you want. It's nice to be able to bring in your own caterer, photobooth, etc. Our only complaint was the temperature of the theater, BUT we did get married in January when it was in the teens outside. Our whole entire wedding party and guests all said they had a GREAT time and loved the venue. -

There were a few issues getting return calls from the owner Ryan and a big debacle where no one showed to open the theatre for our rehearsal until an hour after our scheduled time. That being said, Ryan did everything to correct the mistake of being late for the rehearsal. The venue itself was perfect for hosting our wedding and reception - neither of us attends church and we really wanted to have the ceremony and reception at the same location. They offer DJ services and the music was also spectacular. My dance floor was full all night long. All in all, I would choose The Mission Theatre for any other large event I have in the future and I would recommend them for your wedding/reception. -

I would give this vendor 5 stars however it was a bit out dated when it came to the bathroom and dressing area. The quality of service, professionalism, value, and responsiveness were wonderful. You do get your moneys worth. It was an all inclusive venue. You wouldn't have to worry about a DJ, photographer, or alcohol. -

We recently held our wedding at Mission Theatre. It turned out amazing. Of course there were hiccups and things that could have gone smoother but that is expected in every wedding. Our end result was a beautiful wedding and everyone had a blast! I would definitely recommend the Theatre to friends for their wedding. -

Mission Theatre provided a very unique venue for my reception - we had a ton of compliments!!! You need to spell out EXACTLY what you want, and keep on it - but they are flexible and easy to work with. It was very reasonable for what we got - Ryan is fun to work with...... -

My husband and I were provided with the following services from The Mission Theatre:

Our experience with Ryan was always pleasant. We are pretty laid back and easy to please, however there were a couple problems that I would suggest looking into when planning your wedding with him.
-Completely unprepared with the dance music that was requested (one of my wedding guests ended up hooking up his own ipod and taking care of the music himself)
-Did not include a specifically requested line in the wedding vows
I will say that the music is partly my fault due to getting the information to Ryan last minute, however I believe there was still time enough for him to be better prepared.
Overall, aside from those issues, the open bar services were great and the staff was friendly. The theatre itself is a nice venue for the price, and it looks amazing with all the decorations and lighting. -

The venue was a beautiful place. & being I had my wedding on a Sunday, the price was AWESOME for all that it included. All of the staff was nice, but not everyone was very professional or communicates well. When I went to tour the venue for the first time, we walked in and noone gave us a tour or explained anything, just stood there. It took days at a time to get emails or calls back regarding things we needed to know (that should have been discussed at the first tour/meeting/etc). And everything kind of seemed last minute. When we went to look at it multiple times, it was a mess, the heat was never on so it was freezing, the bridal room and grooms room were a MESS and nothing seemed to be very orderly or clean. The day before the wedding we had rehearsal, & it was still a disaster so I was very concerned. The food prep room was full of filth and packed with other things.The heat was BROKEN and the toilet was leaking and not all lights were working. The next morning arriving for the wedding they had a guy there working on the heater; however, it took hours and was FREEZING all day getting ready. Communication was still a problem. The DJ, BEN and the Bartender (wish I could remember her name) were absolutely AMAZING. They assured me everything would be fine, they helped run the theatre and connected with ALL my guests! They made the wedding and reception PERFECT. After all the worry, they really helped lead and keep things going and on track. It turned out to be wonderful but I’m not sure that it would have happened without those two! I give them both 5 stars for sure! I just think it needs to be cleaned up majorly and it needs to be ran a little more professional. But in the end I suppose it all worked out just fine, just wish it was cleaner and more orderly. Still a wonderful place for the price! Not sure I’d pay more than what we paid for the Sunday wedding though! -

You're going to get what you pay for with this vendor. I would suggest hiring a wedding coordinator - which is exactly what I did to handle any issues because you are going to have them. You will also need to tip the wedding coordinator pretty highly, because she/he is going to be working very hard for you at your event. The theatre is a nice venue and the price is right it's just too bad that the property is not managed better. He is terrible about calling you back, responding to emails and such - which is where your coordinator can step in and help, but you have to decide if it's really worth it! -

I had some issues with the owner, Ryan. He is NOT personable (except at first) and is kind of a pain to deal with. They do not respond quickly and even wrote down the wrong date for my rehearsal so no one was there when my whole wedding party showed up! We ended up having to do the rehearsal at my grandma's house. Also, none of the rennovations were done that they said they were "trying" to do when I booked them 12 months in advance. If you aren't prepared to make several phone calls/emails and possibly have some extra stress, I would say stay away. It is a good deal for the money though. -

We loved the venue. The theatre has character, however we had a lot of problems with the venue itself. The venue needs a good bath. It is extremely dirty. The stage is in terrible shape and so is the flooring. Also, the men's bathroom has a "glory hole" in it. The stairs were falling apart and actually broke while we were there. My mom ducked taped it back together because neither the employees/owner seemed to care. The provided deejay service was horrible. We hired a band to play the wedding and during a set break the deejay started up and after one song the speakers over heated and shut off. Thankfully the band was able to start right away. The theatre had told us previously that we would be able to come get our decorations the next day but at 11pm we were told we had to be out by 11:30pm that night. This had never been previously discussed. We loved the venue but everything considered would not use again. The concept of the venue is great but needs a new owner/management. It is poorly ran and maintained. -
