Everyone from Maddie to Nicole to Tova were all incredible. The professionalism, the experience in this industry, the helpfulness and kindness... it was truly a pleasure to work with them all to plan my wedding and we couldn't have chosen a more lovely venue! It looked beautiful for our early February wedding and the fireplace was perfect and kept us all warm and cozy! I love how they have a separate cocktail hour space and a bridal suite for getting ready and storing my belongings throughout the day! 10/10 recommend! -

I truly don't think there is a perfect way to describe or to recommend this venue and their team because they are simply stellar and words cannot do them justice. From the moment we arrived at our first tour of the space to the day of our wedding on 12/13/25, we were welcomed and treated with so much respect and happiness. We knew immediately that they could make our wedding dreams come true, and they certainly did because they are not simply a venue but a space that celebrates alongside you and amplifies the joy of your day even more than you can imagine. We loved every single second of our wedding, and our planner Maddie was an angel who made every decision and every deadline seem so easy. I think without her we would've been so lost in planning and details that we could not have done it. We owe such an immense amount of gratitude to the Maxwell, the entire team, and Maddie for helping us plan and execute the greatest day of our lives. 10/10 in every way. Go for a tour and you will NOT think twice. -

The Maxwell was far more than just our wedding venue; it was a place where we felt genuinely cared for from the very beginning. The entire process, from planning to the final moments of our wedding day, was incredibly easy, seamless, and filled with so much reassurance. We always felt supported, heard, and completely at peace knowing we were in such good hands.
A truly heartfelt and special thank you to Maddie, our planner through The Maxwell, who is nothing short of an angel on earth. She helped execute our vision with such grace, patience, and attention to detail, but what she did for our family is something I will never forget. When my dad left his Father of the Bride speech at his table, and it was mistakenly thrown away, Maddie dug through the garbage, found it, and then sat down and retyped the entire speech so it could still be shared. In the middle of a busy wedding day, she chose compassion, care, and love, and that moment meant more to us than words can express.
That single act perfectly reflects the heart behind The Maxwell. It’s a venue run by people who truly care about your day, your family, and the moments that matter most. We felt wrapped in support, calm, and kindness the entire day. If you are looking for a venue that goes beyond beauty and logistics and shows up with genuine heart, The Maxwell is it. -

As soon as we visited The Maxwell we knew it was the venue for us - the space is beautiful and having the ceremony + reception all in one place was just what we wanted. The venue staff were incredibly responsive and helpful throughout the planning and process and on the day of. All of our friends and family had an amazing staff and (in particular) were huge fans of the bar staff. Would highly recommend. -

If you want the wedding of your dreams and the staff to meet those expectations, get married at the Maxwell. The venue is gorgeous and is extremely customizable to fit everyone’s taste. Beyond the venue itself, the staff who work there are the absolute best. We worked very closely with Maddie and she has become our all time favorite. She was extremely responsive, flexible and by the end of the night was more so one of our guests than a staffer. We can’t thank her enough for how much she truly cared about us as clients on our wedding night. You can tell her and her team treat this as more than a job. The Maxwell is clean, efficient and a perfect all-in-one venue. Even our plan C ceremony spot would've been a perfect plan A. And they recently made even more wonderufl upgrades, including adding an indoor couch and seating area and unbrellas on the patio. We can’t recommend the venue and the staff enough, we just wish we could do it all again! -

Working with The Maxwell was the best experience during our wedding planning process! From the first venue tour we knew it was the perfect place for our celebration. Everyone on the staff is attentive, genuinely nice, and makes you feel welcome. Many of our guests that interacted with the staff commented on how nice and helpful everyone was. Every time we attended a showcase before our wedding, they warmly greeted us and asked how the planning process was going. Then once we got closer to the big day, Maddie was so responsive to any questions we had, and she helped us finalize details so that we had confidence that everything was in order. The venue itself is gorgeous – the photos online don’t do it justice! There are so many spaces for all our guests to enjoy dancing, lounging, or taking in some air on the patio/lawn. The Maxwell’s space provided us with the flexibility to add in so many design elements to achieve the look and feel we wanted for our wedding. If you are in the process of deciding on a venue for your wedding/event, you will not be disappointed with The Maxwell. They were the best decision we made! -

The Best Venue
The Maxwell is the absolute best wedding venue! My husband and I looked at quite a few wedding venues before choosing The Maxwell. We loved the venue from the moment we saw it and couldn’t be more happy with our choice. We loved how the venue had everything we needed in one area. It has the perfect outdoor setting, a great room for cocktail hour, and the best reception room. The women who work at The Maxwell were also why we chose this venue. They are amazing and were always available to answer any questions! We wish we would relive our wedding day there every weekend! -

If you’re looking for the perfect wedding venue, look no further! Not only does The Maxwell have the perfect space, they also have the best staff! From the moment we toured, we felt like we were part of The Maxwell family.
Regarding the physical space- it was perfect for what we were looking for! We wanted an indoor ceremony, indoor/outdoor cocktail hour in a different location from the ceremony and then an indoor reception and The Maxwell provided just that. The space itself is modern, simple, and elegant and leaves so much room to customize to make it your own.
As for the staff, our whole goal for hiring vendors was to hire the “A” team. We wanted vendors that once we hired, we knew they would be top-tier and The Maxwell staff is the best in the business! From the enjoyable showcases where we got to have a fun date-night and envision possibilities with catering, florals, and more to just the everyday planning of our wedding, everyone was patient, efficient, and helpful. Chelsea, Tova, Maddie, and Alex all worked extremely hard to make our wedding day nothing short of perfect.
We opted for the in-house day-of/month-of coordination and were so glad that we did. We thought who better to help us with everything than someone who works there- that’s where Alex came in! She was a great leader for our day-of and helped get all of our little details organized months ahead of time.
Some other highlights include the great bar staff that made sure our 160+ guests were never waiting in line for a drink- we just don’t know how they do it!
We could go on and on about everything but in simple terms, our wedding day was perfect and it could not have been without The Maxwell!

We absolutely loved The Maxwell! Not only is this venue beautiful, the team here is so easy to work with. The forecast for our wedding day was touch and go but the team was able to have both our rain plan and outdoor plan ready to go (luckily we were able to have the wedding outside as planned). The bar staff provided by the venue was also amazing. One of the things I loved about the venue were the showcase events so we could meet vendors and see The Maxwell decorated. Cannot say enough good things about this venue!! -

The Best Day
We had the most amazing wedding day and experience with The Maxwell. The employees are all so friendly and accommodating. From our initial viewing of the venue I could tell they were super organized. On our wedding day there were scattered storms forecasted all day but I really wanted an outdoor ceremony. They worked with me to set up the ceremony both outdoors and indoors so that I didn’t have to make an abrupt decision early in the day regarding the rain plan. The weather ended up cooperating for the hour it needed to for us to have our ceremony outside. Dreams do come true and The Maxwell is here to see to it! Thank you to The Maxwell team you guys are amazing!!! -

We got married at The Maxwell last week and we could not recommend the venue more! From the beginning, the staff was wonderful to work with. I had multiple questions throughout the process and they always worked with us for a solution. Sometimes you fear always hearing "no" to ideas but that was not the case. The venue itself is beautiful and we were able to make it our own. We got so many compliments on the space and were glad to be able to do everything (ceremony + reception) in one spot. Overall, I highly recommend checking out the maxwell! -

The Maxwell was a dream to work with! They host and invite their couples to so many events throughout the year, it is almost impossible not to picture your big day here. It is conveniently located in Raleigh (Close to downtown but just far enough away not to feel like you are in the hustle and bustle). It comfortably fit all of my guests (about 130 people) with plenty of room if we would have wanted more. We also loved that the space was a blank canvas so we could make it our own. The modern white brick design and patio space are gorgeous to capture, even with just an iPhone. The staff was extremely supportive/responsive leading up to the big day and helped things run so smoothly throughout the night. I cannot recommend this venue anymore. You are going to LOVE IT! -

The Maxwell was incredible in every single way! As soon as we walked in we knew it’s where we wanted to get married. The place is so beautiful and modern and you can customize it so it truly reflects you. The Maxwell was absolutely perfect for our of 75. It is a beautifully simple, yet very sophisticated space that allows you to create any vision of a fairytale. Our guests were all from out of state and we needed a venue with easy access to downtown Raleigh. Our guests were very appreciative of the short shuttle ride and the fact that the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception all took place at the same location.
The staff at the Maxwell were top notch. Not only was everyone so helpful, they were accommodating and flexible to ensure our vision came to life. We did a few “out of the norm” things, and they were more than willing to
make all our wishes come true. -

We were so pleased with our experience at the Maxwell! Chelsea, Kathryn and their team are so efficient and our big day went off without a hitch. They were also very personable during the planning process and responsive to all my questions. They could not have been more accommodating with our preferences for room setup and cocktails! The space itself is also stunning and the perfect blank space to make your vision come to life. Parking is ample and bridal suite is perfect for getting ready with your girls—the Maxwell has every convenience! Everyone raved that it was so beautiful and one of the best weddings they had ever attended. -

We absolutely could not recommend The Maxwell enough!! Our wedding day was perfect, and went off without a hitch thanks to the beautiful atmosphere The Maxwell provided and the obvious hard working team they have put together.
They were so accommodating and responsive, no request was too small or too grand for them to ignore. Their attention to detail and willingness to help made our night worry free and one we’ll never forget.

I love the availability of different spaces for each part of the event. And the elegance it holds even without any setup and decor is breathtaking. We loved working with The Maxwell. The customer service was spectacular. They made sure we had everything we needed on our wedding day. I do advise you read the fine print and realize you must use their approved catererers, DJs, florist, and wedding planners. They recommended Diane Wolk at Bustled Events and she was wonderful. -

The Maxwell was absolutely perfect. The venue itself is beautiful. The staff is great to work with and do their very best to make your day exactly what you're looking for. The white finish is elegant. The bridal suite is perfect to get ready in. It was a seamless one stop shop. Their vendor recommendations are easy to work with and honestly made planning super easy. I absolutely love The Maxwell: the venue itself and their whole team. The venue is stunning; light, bright, and room to make it your own! I also love all of the details; the wooden accent on the lounge wall, the fireplace, the unique chandeliers, the string lights outside. The venue is so beautiful and I couldn’t have imagined my wedding at a different place. The Maxwell team was SO incredible with communication. Wedding day of my dreams
The Maxwell was a dream come true. From the start of our relationship, Chelsea and her growing team were so helpful and very quick to respond to our many questions during the wedding planning process. The venue speaks for itself in it's beauty from the whitewashed brick, grand fireplace, and amazing lawn and greenery. Everything about our wedding day went perfectly and as the bride, I felt at ease and excited the entire day. I trusted the staff 100% to treat our guests with kindness and working with our amazing vendor team (that they recommended) they put on the best day possible. If I had to do it all over, I would choose them, no questions! -

We fell in love with this venue while it was still in the building process. We loved the flexibility of being able to have a wedding experience be inside and outside. The Maxwell is truly the perfect place to get married to the love of your life. The space is gorgeous on its own but was designed in a way that you can transform it into any wedding fantasy you’ve ever had. There’s indoor and space so a ton of flexibility around how to set it all up.
Chelsea, one of the owners, and her team are unmatched! They have thought of everything and made it so easy to sit back and enjoy your wedding and guests! The venue rental includes a stocked bar and bartenders, pouring of your champagne/cider for toasts, high top/bistro tables, guest 60in rounds, 8ft tables AND the gorgeous chairs. You only have to rent the linens and you already have everything you need!
The staff is so friendly so sweet and extremely accommodating! Victoria the manager is organized and thorough and handles the day of logistics. When she was reviewing our final rental order she noticed that we were renting items she was able to provide and saved us some money! Small example but it went a long way with my husband and I that she carded enough to check through that.
Cannot thank the Maxwell enough for everything they did to ensure we had the most beautiful and perfect day. -

Chelsea and Victoria are amazing! They were very responsive to any questions we’ve had and kept us up to date with any wedding updates, especially during this pandemic. When I first visited the venue, it was still under construction but I knew it would be the perfect venue for us and Chelsea did well with creating the vision. I loved the outdoor and indoor space as it was the perfect layout for pictures, guest to mingle, and space for guests to be distanced when needed. The outside landscaping is so beautiful that I did not need much decor and loved how elegant the inside is.
The day of my wedding went so smoothly! I truly enjoyed The Maxwell help & hard work to make it such a beautiful day for us! I cannot forget about how beautiful the bridal suite is- it is dream! It’s decorated so nicely and has great space to utilize for pictures and getting ready!
The Maxwell gave me a wedding experience I would never forget and I would recommend this venue to anyone! You will not be disappointed! -

This Venue was everything and more! I couldn’t of asked for a better venue for my wedding. The staff is so professional and helped everything run smoothly on my wedding day. Chelsea and her team were awesome to work with. From the initial inquiry to the actual wedding day, they have been on top of their game, basically walking alongside me during wedding planning. They were just overall an incredible team to work with and the venue was absolutely beautiful. I love the high ceilings, white walls, and modern-looking brick on the outside! Having an outdoor option for cocktail hour was also huge especially with COVID! It allowed us to spread everything out! I would definitely recommend checking it out and meeting the team! I can’t say enough good things about The Maxwell. We had my son’s rehearsal dinner here. The venue was gorgeous! Chelsea and Victoria were so helpful! The entire process from beginning to the night of the event was simple. The response time was wonderful also. If I had a question, I received an answer usually on the same day, often within 2 hours of emailing The Maxwell. The bar staff they hired was excellent. We had a bee theme and the specialty drink, the Bee Sting, was available with or without habanero so everyone that wanted to could enjoy it. I wouldn’t hesitate to book The Maxwell again.

We came across The Maxwell as it was being built. We were nervous at first but after hearing from other vendors how wonderful Chelsea was, we decided to take a tour. After meeting with Chelsea and hearing her vision, we booked within 10 minutes of leaving. From the initial meeting through our wedding day, Chelsea and her team were wonderful. We were having our ceremony elsewhere and were utilizing The Maxwell for our reception. They were in contact with us and helped us every step of the way through planning - from recommending vendors to accommodating a VIP drink list for our parents. The venue itself is everything we could have imagined and more - a timeless elegance. The outdoor area is private and gorgeous - perfect for an indoor/outdoor feel!
We wish we could have all of our events at The Maxwell! -

The Maxwell Ralleigh is a gorgeous wedding venue near downtown Raleigh. I love their timeless setting combining modern elegance and classic luxury.
There are so much you can do in this beautiful space. The fireplace is a showstopper!! I am beyond excited to see what couples will create to make their wedding unique and unforgettable, and of course I cannot wait to photograph it all.
Chelsea one of the owners is very professional, kind and a pleasure to work with. Couples will have the best team to assist them in such a special time of their lives. -

This venue is the perfect wedding venue for my fiance and I, we absolutely fell in love with it from the second we saw it! The light color pallet mixed with a southern but modern vibe was so unlike any other venue we have looked at in the area. We booked it immediately!
The indoor/outdoor floor plan is the exact flow we imagine for our guests with ceremony, cocktail hour and reception all in different locations creating the perfect night and experience.
We're so excited for the day this beautiful space is complete as we know it will surpass our expectations for our dream wedding! -

We had our wedding at The Maxwell and it was great overall. It is one of the more expensive venues in the area. Unfortunately, due to the chance of rain, we opted to have our ceremony indoors. This was hard for us to accept internally considering how much we paid. We still had a great ceremony and reception and the planning staff was very flexible leading up to our big day with our alcohol choices. The only disappointing thing during the reception was one of staff members being rude to multiple guests about them removing their shirts (during Nelly's song "Hot in Here"). Thankfully it did not ruin their overall experience at our wedding.
