    Timeless Venue + Excellent Team = One Incredible Wedding Day

    Our reception at The Mansion at Oyster Bay in January of 2026 was everything we hoped it would be and more. My husband and I have attended over 25 weddings together all over the country, so we knew what mattered to us the most when planning our wedding. We wanted a timeless and elegant space that would comfortably accommodate 200+ guests while leaving enough room for a ten-piece band and a buzzing dance floor. We also wanted to work with vendors who would make the day easy for us and our families so that we could enjoy every special moment. The team at MOB delivered on this and more. Jennifer was supportive and helpful in the touring, booking, and planning process, but Mike blew us away on the day of the wedding. He was everywhere all at once, accommodating our last minute timeline adjustments, tending to the bridal party, and even shoveling a path for us in the snow (in his tux!) so we could get some photos outside at dusk. He made sure every personal item was placed exactly where we requested, and transformed our cocktail hour space into an after-party disco just as we envisioned. Our guests could not stop raving about the food and beverage service and the character of each space we were able to use; the speakeasy bar, in particular, was a huge hit for photo ops and overall moody cocktail hour vibes. The venue looked truly spectacular with the warm glow from the fireplaces and candles in every room. We absolutely loved the Mansion for our winter wedding and wish we could relive the night over and over again!

    Perfect Day!

    My wedding was this past January and it was the most perfect day. The staff at the mansion were so great and professional. The service was phenomenal!! The venue is very fairly priced and Jennifer is very helpful with the options and what works best. Mike is the best addition you can have to your wedding day, the day moves so effortlessly thanks to him. We left something at the venue that night and he personally drove the item to our hotel!! I couldn't of picked a better team and venue

    The Mansion at Oyster Bay

    We had our reception at The Mansion at Oyster Bay on January 17, 2026, and it truly felt like something out of a fairytale. It was snowing that day, and the entire property — the trees, the grounds, every view from every window — was covered in a blanket of white. It created the most magical backdrop for our day.
    The venue itself is breathtaking. The architecture, the charm, the timeless elegance — every corner feels like a perfect backdrop. And the speakeasy bar was by far my favorite room. Its unique vibe made for unforgettable moments and some of our favorite photos.
    The staff deserves endless praise. Jennifer, the sales manager, was phenomenal from start to finish. She guided us through every step of the planning process — from choosing food and setting up our tasting to selecting table linens and understanding all the options available to us. We visited the Mansion multiple times with different family members, and no matter how many trips we made, Jennifer was always there to greet us with a smile and walk us through the space again. Her patience, warmth, and genuine care made the entire experience feel effortless. The Mansion also provides so many helpful extras, like a card box and candles, which made planning even easier.
    Mike, the Maître D’, was exceptional. He went above and beyond in every possible way — he even drove out to the beer distributor to get Surf Sides for the bridal party. Throughout the entire day, he made sure we always had a drink in hand and never needed to ask for anything. He also kept the entire reception running smoothly by letting us know exactly where we needed to be and what was happening next. His organization and attentiveness made the day feel seamless.
    My bridal attendant, Amber, was truly amazing. She was so easy to work with, incredibly attentive, and by my side every step of the way. She anticipated everything I needed before I even asked and made the entire day feel calm and stress‑free. Guests couldn’t stop raving about the food — from cocktail hour to dinner, everything was delicious and beautifully presented. The service was flawless, and the entire day flowed without a single hiccup.
    The Mansion at Oyster Bay gave us a wedding day beyond anything we could have imagined. Between the stunning snowy scenery, the incredible staff, and the unforgettable atmosphere, it was pure perfection. I would recommend this venue wholeheartedly to anyone looking for a place that delivers beauty, warmth, and exceptional service

    Best day of our lives.

    The Mansion at Oyster Bay was the perfect venue for my wife and I. Our guests can’t stop raving about how beautiful the venue was and how delicious all the food was (and I am a fairly harsh food critic myself, and agree it was exceptional). They accommodated a lot of our idiosyncratic requests for decor and process, and the ambiance was through the roof. The staff ensured there were no issues arising on our wedding day, everything went smoothly and flawlessly and my wife and I were able to just party and celebrate the most incredible day of our lives. We felt supported and guided through all of the planning and execution. The value is unmatched amongst peer venues we considered. We cannot give effusive praise high enough. 10/10 my wife and I recommend this venue to all prospective couples, and indeed one of my groomsmen’s brother in law is now planning to get married here next year.

    Having the wedding here was the BEST decision!

    My daughter got married at the Mansion on 7/27/25. She and I are out of state (Virginia and Texas) so we planned the wedding long distance and did not have a wedding planner. I can't say enough good things about this venue! They were flawless from the moment we signed the contract until the end of the festivities. Jennifer was very professional and answered all of our questions timely. We never felt rushed and she knew what to ask even if we didn't. Communication was A+. They coordinated with our vendors (Batter Up - cake; The Hudson Project- band; Barittini - strings for ceremony, piano for cocktail hour, and DJ for afterparty; Flowers by Burton; JoVon Photography and Videography; Platinum Events (mirrored seating chart); and Long Island Flower Wall for arch and Reverend Dan) and everything ran so smoothly. Huge shout out to Carl (Carmelo) the Maître D and Shannon the bridal attendant. We dropped off all decor a few days before and they set up perfectly. When there was a problem with our flowers, Carl called and had the florist come back to fix it. He maintained the tempo of the ceremony, cocktail hour, reception (speeches, dances, props, cake cutting) and afterparty; everything was seamless. We interspersed dancing with dinner and all flowed so well. Shannon stayed by Kate's side, bustled her dress, helped her change into a second dress, attended to her every need all night and gathered items from the bridal suite. They were true professionals and packed everything neatly for the day after pick up. I could enjoy the evening without worrying about anything (timeline, bridal party, Kate's needs). It rained the day of the wedding and Carl allowed us time to make the call whether to move inside and handled the transition beautifully. All guests were impressed with the food and service. We had filet, chicken marsala and macadamia crusted cod for dinner and the grazing table, passed apps, Mulberry Street and Mediterranean stations for cocktail hour and bar foods for afterparty. I was amazed at how delicious the food was....its hard to feed so many people but everything they served was hot and cooked to guest's specifications. The bar was perfect, top shelf liquor and never a line! It had a lot to do with the level of service. Valet was great and when guests arrived they were given a pre-ceremony drink and directed to the guest book and ceremony site. When they left the ceremony for cocktail hour servers were ready with trays of signature drinks so there was not a line at the bar. Apps were passed on trays, lots of seating and beautiful stations. At dinner servers were excellent, they took orders, brought food, got drinks from the bar, poured red and white wine, cleared places, folded napkins if you got up and served cake. So many guests raved that this was the best wedding they ever attended. The venue itself is gorgeous but the service and food were exceptional. The after party on the roof (DJ, cigars) was scheduled to end at midnight but went much later. The overall experience far exceeded the price we paid. Kate and Michael said it was the best day of their lives. I am so thankful to all our friends at the Mansion and cannot recommend them enough. 10000000/10 stars!

    The wedding was beautiful and Jennifer and Mike were fantastic!!

    Family and friends loved the wedding. The place was stunning the staff was very professional and we had a very memorable day. We are so happy we chose the mansion of oyster Bay. Jennifer and Mike were fantastic.

    3.7.25 best day of our lives!

    My husband and I met in a wedding band so we have been to more than 400 weddings, almost all of which were extremely high end, so we knew exactly what we wanted and had very high expectations (on much less of a budget than the weddings we play, We had a March wedding which helped)! We are so thrilled to have chosen this venue for our wedding because they knocked it out of the park! My family is not from the NY area and they were blown away by the building, the amount and quality of food, the service, etc. My husband’s family IS from the NY area so they expected great things, and the MOB delivered. Emily was so amazing through the entire process, answering my incessant emails and questions quickly and kindly. Mike we got into contact with the week of the wedding and everything ran smoothly. They were patient while we figured out how to make my husband’s vision of a large king’s table for us and our large bridal party happen, and facilitated all of the coordinating. I still had my own month of coordinator, but they take care of so much there, she was able to focus on more minute details because they had everything handled. We did not use any of their recommended vendors. We had a friday wedding to ensure we were the only ones getting married there that day. Bridal and groom’s suite were excellent. Timeline followed to a tee. Could not be happier! And a little hint to future couples: don’t listen to people who say Lessings is bad because they do so many weddings; they are so good at weddings because they do them all the time. Take it from someone who has seen it all, you DO NOT want to go to a place that doesn’t really do weddings. And lastly, so many of the most expensive places we have played are very similar to the mid-tier places we play. Don’t worry if your wedding isn’t at the Pierre, it is upsettingly similar to have it elsewhere.

    The Mansion at Oyster Bay made our wedding amazing!

    The Mansion at Oyster Bay was the perfect venue for our wedding. Right after we contacted the venue, Jennifer Sammarco responded and set up a tour for us immediately. From the moment we pulled up to the beautiful grounds and mansion, we fell in love with the venue. Jennifer did a great job of helping us envision our wedding day, and thoroughly explained all of their package deals to help us stay within our budget. Throughout the entire process, Jennifer was so helpful and answered every single question that we had (and we had a lot!). She was always available, right up to the day of the wedding. We were able to meet some vendors during the seasonal showcases that the venue has, and we were able to taste the food and drink at a tasting closer to the date of the wedding.

    Leading up to the wedding, Mike Langis, the maître-d' reached out and coordinated a drop off meeting with us to drop off all of our decorations and day of items for the wedding. Mike was so incredibly kind and accommodating and made us feel at ease that he would be on the ball the day of. He absolutely was, as well as the rest of the staff at the venue. Mike helped put out all of our decorations in the morning, helped rearrange items from the ceremony to the reception, and was even able to quickly and quietly remedy a situation where we forgot a few boxes of favors, without interrupting any of the festivities of the day. He ran the entire rehearsal with the wedding party for the ceremony that we opted to have on site, and connected our playlists to the venue speakers for cocktail hour and after party. Any requests that we had for coordination of the entire day was fantastically handled by Mike!

    We also paid to have use of the bridal suite for the entire morning, and Natalie was our bridal attendant. She was excellent, steaming my entire wedding gown, bringing drinks and food to us in the bridal suite, and helped carry my dress, drinks and food during photos. We were told that we had the A-Team between Mike and Natalie, and that couldn't have been more true!

    So many of our guests told us how exceptional the staff was for food and bar service as well. Everyone was so impressed by the beauty of the venue, the quality of the food and drinks, and the professionalism of the staff. We were so fortunate to have found the Mansion at Oyster Bay, because it honestly had everything that we were looking for on our wedding day. If you are looking for a beautiful venue with exceptional staff, has flexible options and packages to help you stay within budget, and is experienced in hosting weddings, this is definitely the place for you!

    Best night ever!!!

    The Mansion at Oyster Bay made our wedding the most magical day ever! They were very accommodating - they even allowed us to get a phone call together between our band and the staff so we could align on a flow for the night. Food was absolutely amazing and took care of our guests. Highly recommend!

    Incredible!

    My daughter wanted the feel of a Gold Coast mansion for her wedding and chose the Mansion at Oyster Bay and we are so glad she did. It was a spectacular day! Every detail from start to finish was perfect and the staff (Mike, Natalie, Jennifer and all those terrific bartenders & waitstaff) catered to our every need. Honestly, there was not one item that was overlooked by this terrific staff. Everything ran so smoothly, not a hiccup to be had. The venue is absolutely gorgeous and set on the rolling hills of a golf course. The grounds are just beautiful and our guests were so impressed pulling up to the front door through the gates and around the fountain. And the food! It was the best food at a wedding I have ever experienced. We had two very well-known chefs (one from the Hamptons and one a world traveled chef) who both raved about the food. Quite honestly, I was worried about the quality of the food but I should not have been. Really terrific. And our guests mentioned over and over about how delicious everything was. Jennifer made is so easy for us from start to finish. We booked the M@OB on our first visit to the venue. She was so responsive to our every question, every need. Truly a first rate experience. I can't recommend M@OB enough. Spectacular!!

    Best Wedding Ever

    We are so grateful to the incredible staff that made our dream wedding possible. The professionalism, overall communication, and every little detail that we envisioned was able to come to life. The food was great quality, the landscape was so beautiful, and we were treated like royalty the whole night.

    Our dream wedding!

    On February 24th, my wife and I did our vow renewal/Wedding party we never had. From the start of the evaluation process, it felt daunting. That is until we came to meet with Jennifer and just knew we had to have our party here. Jennifer was fantastic to work with, and really went above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect!

    Every one raved about how amazing the food was, starting with the cocktail hour and throughout the night.

    Our Maitre D, Mike, was also great and made sure the night was perfect and everything we could’ve dreamed of.

    You’re literally the only show in town, and the attention was on my wife and I the entire night.

    Highly recommend this amazing venue, and wish we could go back to February 23rd so we can experience it all over again.

    A wedding to remember at a venue you could never forget

    I will be the first to admit that when choosing a wedding venue, I was not anticipating falling in love with the Mansion at Oyster Bay - but the second we entered the estate, I knew this was the ONLY place we should get married. The whole venue is beautiful and grand - could easily fit a 300 person wedding, and yet a 100 person wedding didn’t feel too empty at all. We also loved that we could have “full run” of the estate, which meant that the children attending our wedding had quiet time rooms their parents could take them for when the music got too loud or they got too tired. Lastly, the gorgeous drawing room with those deep rich wood walls, fireplace, and classic bar sealed the deal - a perfect space for a cocktail hour and lovely background to wedding photos.
    The beauty of the venue was one thing, the folks who ran the show were somehow even better. Starting with Jennifer, the sales manager, who was so warm and welcoming and made sure we had all the information needed to plan our wedding - she was excellent, kept detailed notes of what we wanted, and ensured that on the day of the wedding - we could just relax. Mike, the maître d', went over all the notes that Jennifer and we provided and instantly knew what we wanted and how he could help our wedding day go smoothly. The bridal attendant and the rest of the Mansion’s staff were so perceptive and in tune with what we wanted - literally not a thing went wrong - everything was executed perfectly. We fully got to enjoy our day with zero stress. We could not have asked for more.
    The day after, when we stopped by to pick up some of the items that were left behind/needed to be cleaned up - everything was packed up nice and neatly for us and the space was immaculate. This is a team that knows their business and does a flawless wedding (or any celebration). They are so easy to work with - you would be crazy not to have your event here.

    New Years Eve Wedding

    My daughter and son in law chose The Mansion at Oyster Bay the minute they walked in. The beautiful dark wood, fireplaces, black and white floor and open staircase, had all the elements needed for a New Year’s Eve wedding. The Mansion did not disappoint! The entire staff, especially Mike our maitre’d made the nights events go smoothly! Our guests raved about how beautiful the venue was and how great the food was! Prior to our event we had made some special requests and Jennifer S, made sure it all happened. Thank you for making our daughters dream wedding a reality!

    Beyond perfect!

    This was my dream venue. If you’re looking for a charming old mansion with a lot of character, this is your place. Pictures truly don’t do it justice. Staff is super responsive and accommodating. Everything ran smoothly without me needing to lift a finger.

    Also, if you have someone in your bridal party with a physical disability, this place is super accessible. My mother doesn’t walk very well so I loved that the aisle wasn’t very long and didn’t have grass, and that everything we needed including the bridal suite was all on one floor. if you do choose to use the second floor they have an elevator to help you get up there.

    They also only do one wedding/ event at a time which was a big plus for me! The mansion was ours from the time we arrived at 7:30 in the morning to when we left at 9:30 at night. I couldn’t recommend this venue more.

    The most beautiful wedding day

    Lessings is a wonderful company to work with when planning your wedding, & we looked at a few of their venues before we fell in love with & decided on the Mansion at Oyster Bay. The ambiance, the food, the professionalism & attentiveness exceeded our expectations & made our wedding absolutely perfect. We will forever cherish the experience we had with them! Thank you Estee & Mike!! They were wonderful :)

    Highly Recommend!

    My wedding was an absolute dream, and it would not have been possible without the staff at The Mansion at Oyster Bay. Steve, Skylar, Mike and Natalie were absolutely amazing to work with and helped to make our day perfect and run so smoothly. The venue itself was beautiful--it has so much charm and character, making it such a unique place to get married. Our guests have now mentioned to us several times that this was some of the best food they have ever had at a wedding. I can honestly say that there is nothing that I would change or do differently. Highly recommend!

    Wedding of our dreams!!

    We fell in love with the mansion instantly and it was the first and last venue we toured for our May 2022 wedding! We worked with Gary and then Doug, and both were amazing and super responsive! They guided us through the process and made everything easy for us. Mike our Maitre D was incredible, he was professional, organized, and upbeat. I never ended up hiring a day of coordinator, Mike helped me plan the timeline of the day and was there for us with whatever we needed the day of. Este my bridal attendant never left my side, she was a dream from the morning until the after party! The rest of the staff worked so hard to bring everything together and truly made the day magical. It unexpectedly rained and Mike and the team shifted everything inside quickly and made it look beautiful!! All of our guests loved everything from the cocktail hour, food, bar, and service and said it was the most romantic and stunning venue they’ve ever been to. I don’t even have the words to thank you all enough! You made it a day we will cherish forever.

    100% would recommend! A dream to work with!

    Having our wedding at The Mansion at Oyster Bay was the best decision we could ever make. First off they were extremely accommodating during the COVID 19 pandemic and worked with us through multiple postponements. They hosted a small dinner for our immediate family and bridal party in August 2020 when we had our ceremony, and it was perfect. We had to move our reception to June 2021 due to restrictions and we are so thankful that we were able to have the reception of our dreams this past summer. The grounds are spectualur and the food is amazing! Our guests were so impressed by the quantity and quality of the food.

    Emily was amazing to work with and was extremely patient and responsive throughout the entire process, she made everything seamless and easy!

    We received so many compliments from our guests on how beautiful our wedding was thanks to the beautiful grounds, amazing food, white glove service and flawless execution!

    Incredible Wedding at the Mansion!

    My wife and I got married at the Mansion at Oyster Bay in November 2021. We originally booked for March 2021 but had to postpone due to COVID. Gary and his team were SO incredible in making the day "ours". We HIGHLY recommend the Mansion given a) the beauty of the space, b) the value, c) the staff and d) how flawlessly they executed.

    Stunning venue, amazing experience!

    My husband and I just returned home from our honeymoon and we are still in complete awe with how amazing our wedding day was! When we first visited The Mansion at Oyster Bay back in July of 2019, we were blown away by the class and pure elegance of the Mansion. We stood back scanning each room and admired the wood work, the chandeliers, and the overall décor. Leading our tour of the Mansion was the kindest, most sincere man, who we would come to appreciate and respect over the next two years to a level that cannot possibly be expressed, Gary Schneider. Gary went over everything with us about how our day would go in a way that allowed us to live the day two years before it even happened. It was more than a sales pitch, it was a story, a story from someone that we could tell was genuinely excited for us and absolutely had our best interest in mind and at heart. After the initial tour we were convinced that this was the venue for us, if not for the sheer beauty of it, then because we were certain Gary would take care of us like no other person we had met so far at any other venue. Whatever the date they had available, my (future) husband and I knew that this was going to be our venue!

    Originally, our wedding date was October 17, 2020 however, sadly, COVID and the world it created had other ideas about that. We tried sticking it out as long as we could to keep that original date, but it came to a point that due to the state restrictions, we had no choice but to postpone. Gary was in constant communication with us throughout this difficult time and kept us calm and assured us that a new date was in the books if we wanted it. We pushed the decision to the end of August, 2020 and with a heavy heart made the official call to postpone. We were nervous, anxious, and upset all at once as we had heard stories from other future brides and grooms about how their venues and/or vendors had changed their prices or imposed other difficulties on them for postponing. However, we could not have had a more different experience to the ones we were hearing about. Gary took care of the change immediately and we were not penalized or forced to make any changes whatsoever. It was the easiest phone call we made in one of the most difficult and upsetting times in our relationship. Gary and his amazing staff at the Mansion made it seamless.

    Our wedding took place on September 25, 2021 and the day was perfection. The weeks leading up to our day were seamless as well as we worked with Gary and his staff. From having a delicious food tasting with our parents a month before, to meeting with Gary a few weeks before to go over details for our big day, and finally to meeting Gary and our matre de’ Michael the week of the wedding to review final details. I am a type A person, so to have to trust others to plan, situate, and support me is challenging, but with Gary and Michael I felt a calm and level of trust that allowed me to enjoy my day to the fullest.

    While we owe a HUGE thank you to Gary for EVERYTHING he did for us in the lead up to the big day, we owe another one to Michael, our maître d', for his amazing work executing our vision on the day of. When we first met Michael four days before our wedding, I was very nervous and skeptical about how this person, who I had never met before, could possibly understand my vision, let alone execute it on the day of with such a short amount of time to prepare. But, my worries were completely unnecessary because Michael delivered above and beyond! After actually meeting him there was an instant connection as we went through our plans, décor, and vision for the ceremony and reception. He had an amazing understanding of what we had in mind and some great ideas and suggestions about how we could improve the flow of the evening that turned out to be amazing. On the day of the wedding he was there from the beginning of the afternoon to the end of the night and we didn’t have to think once because we had complete confidence in him and he didn’t disappoint. Michael is beyond accommodating and an all-around amazing person and if he could maître d’ my day to day life, I would be a lot less stressed out!

    When you think of your wedding day, you go through your checklists and confirm that you have everything you need, but one thing I didn’t know I needed, but now know I could have never lived without, was Natalie. EVERY bride needs a Natalie! Natalie was my bridal attendant, and was amazing, to say the least. She is chipper, kind hearted, and is amazing at what she does. She was there for me from the minute I arrived at the Mansion to the minute my husband and I and our families left that evening. She kept me calm and assisted my maid of honor and I in every way possible. Without Natalie my maid of honor probably would have left pulling her hair out and cursing me pretty early in the day because of all the things she would have had to put up with (like the bustling of my dress, which was so insane), but Natalie handled it all with a smile and level of care that made me feel like she was someone I had known forever. I cannot thank Natalie enough for everything that she did for me that day!

    Bottom line, everyone needs a Gary, Michael, and Natalie in their lives and to have them you MUST book The Mansion at Oyster Bay.

    Now, as great as everyone was in the planning and execution of our big day, everyone knows that the one thing that can make or break a wedding is the food. And let me tell you the food at the Mansion does not disappoint! The Chef did an AMAZING job cooking some of the best food any of our guests had ever had, period. The cocktail hour stations were amazing and the staff even allowed us to create our own Polish based station for cocktail hour, which was a big hit! The kitchen staff cooked so many diverse foods and all of it was delicious. Still, our guests cannot stop talking about how amazing the food was on our big day!

    Choosing The Mansion at Oyster as our venue was the best decision my husband and I made throughout the entire wedding planning process. We cannot thank Lessings and the Mansion staff enough and we hope to be back in the future for other events and parties!

    Disgusting dirty venue

    PLACE IS DISGUSTING. MET THIS GUY GARY, WHO IS EXTREMELY RUDE AND THINKS HE IS ALL THAT!!!!! WOW!!!! FILTHY DIRTY EVERYWHERE. MENS ROOM HAD PISS ON FLOOR AND LADIES ROOM TOILET PAPER EVERYWHERE. FOOD WAS HORRIBLE!!!! TOUGH MEET, AND CHEAP VEGETABLES. APPETIZERS WOULD BE BETTER IS FROZEN FOOD FROM FRIDAYS. MAYBE THEY WERE. BEWARE!!!! GO ELSEWHERE!!!!

    A beautiful wedding venue

    The Mansion at Oyster Bay is by far the most beautiful reception facility. A gorgeous old world Mansion with beautiful rooms and gorgeous grounds. Impeccable service, delicious food of every variety. At first we were suppose to have a magical winter wedding then with Covid we had a small intimate dinner party with family and re-scheduled the big party for august 2021. Management was so attentive to helping us navigate thru the COVID pandemic. Specifically Gary Who stood by our side and enabled us to host two parties. Michael our maitre’d who attended to our every need. A stress free experience and two magical nights. The Mansion at Oyster Bay is a “ must see” for anyone looking to have a beautiful wedding venue!

    Spectacular venue that you will ever dream of

    I do not know where to begin. We LOVED The Mansion and all the employees before the pandemic, and honestly, we were blown away at how helpful and absolutely accommodating the team was. We had no problem rescheduling and 10months later, we are glad that we did. The primary person who we worked with was Gary Schinder, he truly made us, and my family feel like our wedding was his number one priority. He was always available with any question we had, and was always willing to assist with all of the curveballs we had to face with the pandemic. When it came time to rescheduling our day, Gary was so incredible that he even had us to keep our original date, just in case. Later on we got to meet Michael, the maître d’, and was hands down INCREDIBLE!!! Gary, Michael, and all of the staff at the Mansion were unbelievable to work and I honestly cannot say how fortunate we were to work with such an amazing team. On the day of our wedding, the staff were so attentive, caring, kind, and provided quick service whenever it was needed. My bridal attendant was so beyond helpful, attentive and overall exceed expectations! Michael was very attentive to my husband and always made sure he had a drink and had enough to eat, while also being able to keep the entire event on schedule so we had plenty of time for dancing. My bridal attendant was Essie and words cannot describe how much I LOVED HER!!! Essie was truly so attentive, helpful, kind, caring, and well more than one-step ahead. From the moment that we got there to the end of the night she was always there for whatever I needed, whether it was a drink, food, and fixing the bustle. The food at cocktail hour, dinner and dessert was amazing!!! The presentation and consistency of the food was certainly noticed by our guests and something we continued to receive compliments on from our guests even weeks later. The next day, when we went back to grab the various personal items we brought for our reception, Michael and Gary were there to greet us and were so welcoming with a huge smile on their faces. All of our stuff that we had to pick up was cleaned and packed away so neatly, I was very impressed. Michael and Gary asked us how my parents and we felt about the night and really wanted to make sure we had the time of our lives, which showed that they really cared about us. I cannot recommend the Mansion at Oyster Bay enough, this is your venue I guarantee!

    A most amazing day and night at the Mansion of Oyster Bay that exceeded every expectation

    Our daughter, Julianne, and son in law's, Gary, wedding reception at The Mansion of Oyster Bay was more beautiful than we could ever imagine and we are forever grateful for Gary and Michael's professionalism and ability to make us feel we are the most important people planning a wedding from the first day we went to the Mansion to the day after when we returned.
    The wedding was planned before Covid, but during the height of Covid, Gary always made us feel at ease and suggested we pick another date "just in case" to assure they always had the safe yet perfect wedding that they wanted. We are so grateful for Gary's suggestion as we moved the date to July 2021!
    From the initial interaction, to Covid discussions, to the actual planning and finally to the wedding day, Gary and Michael never wavered on making us feel we were the most important family they had ever worked with.
    The Mansion on the day of the wedding reception was more beautiful than we could ever have imagined. Covid never impacted the Mansion and was as beautiful as the first day we saw the Mansion in 2019. The food presentation was picture perfect and our guests continue to tell us how incredibly delicious it all was. The staff were always there for whatever we and our guests needed from the moment we entered the mansion to the moment we left.
    Gary and Michael were an incredible team that you felt all through the process believed in what they did and truly wanted to make sure the wedding is everything you had hoped for and more.
    When we returned the following day, Gary and Michael were there to greet us and were as happy for us as we were. They loved hearing about our day and sharing in our joy.
    We will ALWAYS be forever grateful and thankful for this incredible day our daughter, Julianne, and son in law, Gary, had on their wedding day at The Mansion of Oyster Bay.

    Top Notch Team

    I do not even know where to begin when it comes to working with Gary Schneider at the Mansion at Oyster Bay. We booked the venue the first time we walked in and it was not even set up for viewings as we saw it during the height of COVID in June 2020. That speaks to how special this place truly is. Gary loves what he does and takes such pride in the venue- it was no question for us! I did not have an ounce of stress the entire process because I knew the team at the mansion would deliver. We met Michael later on in the process and he was a true gem- professional, accommodating, passionate…ugh, I could go on forever. Natalie was my bridal attendant and, as expected, she was just as wonderful! I would not change a single thing about my entire day. I also wish I could see Gary, Michael, and Natalie on a regular basis because they are each a ray of positivity you want in your life, especially on your special day. Do not think twice, this is your venue.

    The Mansion made my wedding the best day ever

    The mansion at oyster bay was absolutely amazing. We picked our date right before Covid hit and the entire time they kept us updated with policies and allowed us to pick a back up date if Covid restrictions were still in place on our big day. The actual venue is beautiful but the staff is also amazing. They say yes to whatever you want to make your wedding day dreams come true and pull through and make it happen. Absolutely incredible experience from the food to the service to the space. Would definitely recommend.

    Best Venue on Long Island!

    We got engaged in January 2019 and toured several LI venues, but after our tour with Gary, we knew the Mansion at Oyster Bay was the venue for us! Gary didn’t skip a beat during our tour and truly cared as he listened to what my parents, fiancé and I were looking for in a wedding venue. When covid hit we were left with no choice but to postpone our July 2020 wedding to July 2021. Gary and Lessings were nothing short but wonderful with changing our day. They were understanding and supportive knowing the biggest day of our lives was just turned upside-down and beyond accommodating of whatever we needed to make the new day just as incredible. Fast forward to 2021 and Gary brings Mike the maitre d into the mix to assist with the final details of the planning process, Mike and Gary are the dynamic dream duo you need on your wedding day! Every single detail, down to hourly weather updates, was seamlessly coordinated by them. The chef is equally fantastic - people are still raving about the food from our wedding! Gary and Mike have an amazing staff who truly care about making your wedding day exactly what you are looking for, by the end my parents, husband and I all said they felt like family. Run to tour this venue and snatch a date for your wedding - you will not be disappointed! After 2.5 years of planning together choosing the Mansion at Oyster Bay was one of the best decisions we made and we will miss working with Gary, Mike and the incredible staff!

    An Unforgettable Wedding

    I don't even know where to begin. The Mansion at Oyster Bay was the only venue we saw and we were in love with it from the moment we walked in the door. It is so beautiful and welcoming and the staff is even more welcoming. We first met with Gary, who gave us our initial tour. Gary is a true professional in every sense of the word. He worked with us every step of the way and clearly cares about making sure you will have an incredible wedding. I also worked with Emily, when I had questions, who was always so helpful and quick to respond to anything.
    Now to the wedding day, I imagined it was going to go perfect but it truly exceeded all of our expectations. Our Maitre D was Michael and Natalie was our bridal attendant. Michael was so incredible to work with, always very calm and really made the night go so smoothly. He truly made sure every aspect went according to plan and that we were always taken care of. Natalie was an absolute angel. She held my train basically all day, got me anything I needed, took care of our 18 person bridal party and made it look so easy!! She even took such beautiful pictures of us which she sent to me afterwards. I will never forget her or any of the staff. Every guest said the food was absolutely amazing and it WAS!! I will also never forget those mini cheeseburgers. Do yourself a favor and book The Manson at Oyster Bay for your wedding or any event. They truly are worth it. I will definitely have them, or any Lessing's venue, in mind for our future events.

    Amazing venue - you need to have your wedding here!!

    Gary, Luis, and the entire staff at the Mansion helped to make our June wedding the most amazing day of our lives. From our first meeting all the way to our after party, everyone was very professional, knowledgeable, warm, and inviting! Everyone wanted to make sure we were happy with every choice made, and it was such a wonderful and memorable experience. Everyone raved about the food - so many options, everything was delicious and fresh! We have two big Italian families who are very picky about food and the team was more than accommodating and exceeded our expectations x 1000! I also have a severe food allergy and they went above and beyond to make sure I could eat safely at my wedding without worry. It really meant a lot to me! We cannot recommend the Mansion enough - it is an absolute must for your wedding and you will be so happy you had it here!

    Absolutely amazing!

    The Mansion at Oyster Bay exceeded our expectations in all aspects! We had guests complimenting everything from the beautiful scenery on the driveway leading up, to the gorgeous woodwork in the mansion. Our outdoor ceremony was beautiful! The food was so great that I cannot put it into words. We had guests who are chefs at other vendors make it a point to tell us that our wedding was the most delicious food they've ever had. We were able to visit the location multiple times before our wedding day to get the best visualization of where everything would be (photobooth, tables, DJ, etc). Emily (our coordinator) was prompt and knowledgeable from the first day we met. She answered emails almost immediately. When she was not completely sure about something she consulted her colleagues and got us all of the information we needed. Natalie was my attendant the day of our wedding. She was personable and sweet and had anything I needed every time I turned around. Our maitr'd was changed midway through planning, which made us nervous at first. However, Mike was unbelievable. He was eager to please us, our families and our guests. He coordinated all of our different vendors - floral setup, two photographers, two videographers, one drone, string quartet, DJ, ice sculpture setup, photobooth, cigar roller, scotch bar - I don't think that all of our ideas would have ran so smoothly without Mike's skills. I cannot say enough how much I loved our day and how amazing it was to work with The Mansion at Oyster Bay.

    Incredible experience!

    We were married on December 14th and are still reliving the magic of The Mansion at Oyster Bay--working with them was the BEST decision we made in our wedding planning! From start to finish, Emily and the team at Oyster Bay were incredibly organized, kind and thoughtful. They were also incredibly transparent in their pricing and communication of all costs involved, which was much appreciated in our financial planning!! Emily and team were always available to answer questions and make helpful suggestions to make our day smooth and stress free. On the day of we didn't need to worry about any logistics, which allowed us to truly be present and enjoy the day--Emily, Mike (our Maître D), and Stephanie (our bridal attendant) thought of everything down to making us a plate of our (delicious!) cocktail hour food to enjoy together before rejoining our guests. And while we're on food--the cocktail hour and dinner food offerings at Oyster Bay are spectacular! There is so much variety and it is easy to offer something delicious for everyone--our guests were raving about everything for days afterward! Oyster Bay also works with and provides a delicious cake from local bakery Dortoni's, which was absolutely divine. Oyster Bay worked seamlessly with every one of our vendors and ensured that everything looked, tasted, and sounded incredible. We are so happy and would recommend that anyone in need of a wedding venue contact The Mansion at Oyster Bay!

    A perfect wedding

    The Mansion at Ouster Bay is where you NEED to get married. Our Dec 1st wedding was flawless and we've been hearing non stop that the food, decor, and most importantly, service, was superb. The venue truly speaks for itself in regards to charm and beauty. Gary and Emily worked with us to get the day planned, providing us all of the details we needed to feel comfortable. We were planning from out of state and their response time to emails and calls was fast.

    But the day of team was really what shined. After our walk through the day before with Michael, our maître d', we knew we were in the best possible plans. He even stayed late after a wedding the night before to make sure all of our decorations were set up by 9am the next morning when we arrived. Natalie was our bridal attendant and she was attentive, fun, friendly -- I felt like she could have thrown on a bridesmaids dress and jumped in! She is also an expert at bustling gowns.

    Our food was a standout. All of our guests commented on the crab cakes and the chicken in puff pastry with risotto for dinner. Dortonis made our cake which was spectacular as well.

    Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better day. The staff was professional, fun, and felt like family. Love to Mike and Natalie - we'll see you when we come for an anniversary dinner next December.

    Beautiful and personalized experience

    My husband and I got married at the Mansion at Oyster Bay in August 2019 and we are nothing but thrilled with the entire process. We signed our contract with Gary, who told us the mansion was ours for the day and we can do whatever we want to make our day special and personalized. I thought planning a wedding from Pennsylvania was going to be tough, but Gary made it seamless. He was nothing but accommodating and had us so confident in our venue choice. Every time we spoke, he made us feel like we were the only wedding being planned. We were taken care of and did not have to worry about anything.

    Even three weeks after our wedding, we still have guests calling us and saying it was the best wedding they had ever been to. They are also still raving about the delicious food that was served during the cocktail hour and dinner. Every portion of the evening ran so smoothly which made Andy and I enjoy the day to its fullest. The Mansion is beautiful.. we were able to use a different space for the ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, and afterparty, which kept the day interesting and fun for our guests. Mike, our Maitre d’, was experienced, skilled, and fantastic. He organized our 22 person wedding party for the ceremony, set up the Mansion to our request and above our expectations, and was in constant communication with us, the waiting staff, our vendors, etc. Our bridal attendant, Rebecca, was also the sweetest and most helpful attendant I could’ve asked for. She helped me with everything from putting my veil on, bustling my dress, refilling my “hers” cocktail, and running to grab and help me change into my dancing shoes while I was eating!! We were ushered into the bridal suite immediately after the ceremony by Rebecca and Mike, and there were several plates of the food from the cocktail hour. We were able to have some alone time and sample the cocktail hour food before we met all of our guests! Mike and Rebecca were there for us at any given moment, and always made sure we had what we needed, and that we were happy!

    I can’t express enough how smooth the day was thanks to the staff. They are all very experienced and do their job so well that we were able to just relax and take in every moment.

    Amazing!

    From start to finish, the staff at the Mansion were exceptional. My mom and I are big planners, and they supported every idea and implemented it to perfection. I cannot say enough good things about Emily and Luis. They were patient, kind, and did everything possible to facilitate the perfect day. My bridal attendant was an angel and was there whenever I needed her, always behind the scenes. The food is amazing, the venue is beautiful and my family/friends cannot stop talking about how much fun they had. Thank you so much for everything! If you are thinking about booking your wedding at the Mansion at Oyster Bay, do it!!

    You should definitely book your wedding here!

    My husband and I had an exceptional experience at Mansion at Oyster Bay. Gary was our banquet manager, and he was an absolute pleasure to work with. On a side note, we switched our wedding reception venue 4 weeks before we were suppose to get married (our previous vendor told us that we would be their last wedding and could not guarantee that it would be fully staffed). Despite only having 4 weeks to have all the details in order, Gary went above and beyond to make our special day flawless. He was really organized and was meticulous in regards to the details involving the wedding. Luis was our maitre’ d who was also great. Luis promptly provided us with drinks throughout the evening, brought us food from the cocktail hour in the bridal suite before we greeted our guests (yes we actually ate at our wedding), and helped add a plate to a table at the last minute (because my dad’s cousin’s wife decided to come last minute lol). Natalie was my bridal attendant and was amazing. She helped me bustle my dress with safety pins once my prefabricated bustle did not hold, and she was very attentive anytime I needed food or drinks throughout the night. The food was fantastic and the wooden floors of the main hall allowed for a limitless dance floor. The venue has many great areas to take awesome wedding photos such as an elegant staircase and charming fireplaces. I have nothing bad to say about this wedding reception venue. You should definitely book your wedding here!

    Brilliant, Perfect, Divine

    Every wedding is beautiful but our wedding at The Mansion at Oyster Bay on June 23 was remarkable. Gary is a wonderful human being, and extremely good at what he does. His assistant Emily is lovely to work with and was helpful throughout the entirety of the wedding planning process. And the day of --- what a special day it was with the support of Luis, our brilliant Maître d'who orchestrated every detail with a calm demeanor, rendering great success. He is as personable as he is knowledgable, and helped cultivate an evening of great joy. Rebecca, the beautiful bridal attendant was by my side the entire day ( a fellow teacher -- which explains her huge heart) -- ensuring I had every tangible thing I needed (advil, a proper bustle for my dress, water, tequila), and all the emotional support I so appreciated. The Venue is divine -- as my husband and I were given such glaring reviews about the cozy yet elegant nature of The Mansion by our guests. Words can not yield justice to all of the amazing staff who contributed their exceedingly knowledgable and gregarious efforts to creating the most flawless wedding day possible. The beauty of the grounds, the warmth of the Mansion, the kindness of each and every staff member, bartender, server, and higher up makes you feel as if you are not only supported, but you are being celebrated. Our hearts are grateful that we found the Mansion at Oyster Bay and will continue to sing its praises. The Venue embraced our Persian Cultural requests and was open and successfully accommodated our Deaf guests in attendance, ensuring that they had full accessibility. At one point, Luis mediated a last minute issue with our DJ promoting calm and demonstrating that his personality is perfect for the job that he does. The staff was also smiling the whole evening -- making us feel like they were part of our special day. A million thanks to Gary, Emily, Luis, Rebecca and the entire staff at The Mansion at Oyster Bay. You are forever etched as part of hearts and we are gleaming with gratitude.

    Our wedding was incredible!

    I can't adequately put into words how happy we are with our decision to host our wedding reception at The Mansion at Oyster Bay. Obviously the building and grounds are beautiful and have so many fantastic backdrops for pictures. Seeing how Lessing's has invested in the mansion since taking over management is really fantastic (pull up pictures of The Woodlands to see for yourself)!

    We'd been to events at other Lessing's venues before and were confident that we'd be in good hands at The Mansion at Oyster Bay. What we didn't know when we first walked in was just how wonderful it would be to work with Gary, Emily, Luis, and Natalie throughout the entire process, from the moment we walked in the door for our initial tour to days after the wedding (when we returned yet again to pick up an envelope that was left behind). We were always confident that we were in good hands, always felt like we were being put on a pedestal for our special day, and ultimately had a fantastic wedding! I've run corporate events before, so I have an idea of what goes on behind the scenes for a large event like this, and Luis and Natalie were on their game all night. They were right there when we needed them, sometimes before we even knew we needed them, and helped when some unexpected hiccups popped up during the night.

    The entire staff and The Mansion at Oyster Bay helped make our wedding perfect. We're only a week post-wedding and we've received so many compliments on the venue, the food, the staff, etc. Our only wish is that we can come back as a guest for someone else's wedding!

    Amazing Venue, Amazing Staff, Amazing Day

    My husband and I were so impressed with how our daughter's wedding day went from beginning to end. Gary was amazing; every time we met with him he was kind, knowledgeable and professional but what impressed me and my husband was the caring way he handled every detail as if our daughter was one of his family members. Louise made the day flow so smoothly and the best part was he handled everything with such ease and made sure all we had to do was enjoy the day worry free. Natalie was an angel; my daughter said she was always there for her and her husband and made them feel like royalty. Jonathan was incredible; I don't know how he did it but he seem to always appear at the very moment you needed something as if he could read your mind. Your chef and his team made the most incredible, delicious, mouth watering dishes and the way they were presented were elegantly done. The waiters, waitresses, bartenders and bathroom attendants were terrific and their five star service completed the most elegant wedding we could have ever dreamed of giving our daughter. I had so many calls and texts the next day from family and friends telling us how great our daughter's wedding was and complementing the venue and the staff. They talked about the delicious food, the amazing waiters, waitresses and bartenders, the beauty of The Mansion at Oyster Bay and for me the best was they all ended the call or text with our daughter's wedding was the best wedding they have ever attended. My cousin was so impressed she told me that when her daughter gets older and its time to book her wedding she will be booking The Mansion at Oyster Bay. Our daughter's wedding day was even better than we had ever dreamed.

    My wife and I got married at the Mansion at Oyster Bay on 9/29/18. We could not be more elated with how everything went. Our guests are still raving about the amazing food, the ambiance and the professional and helpful staff. Many guests commented that the food was the best they had ever had at a wedding, and one said it was the best food he had ever had in his whole life. Not only was the wedding itself everything we had hoped for, but our entire experience with the Mansion was great.

    When we first saw the place, we were struck by its elegance and knew it was where we wanted to get married. It was by far the best place we had seen and we also felt the price was reasonable - it was less expensive than other places we had looked at and much nicer. Our only slight reservation was that it's on a golf course, and we were concerned that golfers would be in close proximity to our wedding ceremony, which was outdoors. However, everything else about the place was so perfect that we decided not to let that deter us. We definitely made the right decision. If you're worried about the golfers, don't be - you won't even notice them.

    We love this place so much we plan on coming back for our anniversary and any other events we may have in the future. If you're looking for a classy, elegant wedding experience, this is your place.

    From the moment my fiance and I met with Gary, we knew immediately The Mansion at OB was perfect. Gary was more than accommodating & we felt like we knew him for years. He was truly caring and patient and made the entire experience an absolute breeze. We got married on Sept 7th, 2018 & it was a night that we will never forget!! Our Maitre D Louise was INCREDIBLE. Our guests are still talking about how professional he was!! He ran the entire show & nothing skipped a beat!! He was there when you needed him & invisible when you didn't. My bridal attendant Natalie was amazing. She was by my side but also out of sight (in a good way!) the entire time and she was fixing my dress or getting me a drink before I even thought about it. Not only did she help me all day/night but my bridesmaids felt like she was there to help them as well. She even sprinted & jumped over a bush to grab my flower girls headpiece seconds before we were to be introduced! Our guests are still raving over the food and especially the service. They could not believe how attentive & efficient the entire staff was!!! Everyone was amazed with the amount of cocktail hour food and how smooth the entire night went. I could not have asked for a better experience! The most memorable night of our lives & the entire staff at The Mansion at OB made it happen flawlessly!!

    Our son just got married last Friday night and the wedding was a masterpiece. It was an evening filled with magic. This venue was the best we have experience. The staff were passionate, professional and extremely attentive to every detail, they must love what they are doing and it shows. The invaluable advice from Gary and Emily from the beginning made everything seem so easy. Gary seemed to understand exactly what we wanted and he made it happen. Luis, the banquet manager, insured that the entire night flowed flawlessly. Rebecca, the bridal attendant, was incredibly intuitive and lovely. They worked so hard and were so focused. Everyone was so lovely and nice, they couldn't do enough for you. All my friends and family loved it. All the food was absolutely delicious too. We would highly recommend The Mansion.

    I generally do not do ratings however because reading other customers reviews were so helpful to us in finding the right venue and vendors I feel obligated to give this important review. The Mansion at Oyster Bay receives our highest rating and I wish there was actually a higher review we could give!!! We had our ceremony and reception there this past July. The entire staff, especially Gary, Luis our Maître D and Erica our Bridal Attendant were extraordinary and truly made our wedding perfect! With so many venues out there, the decision to select one can be very difficult. Is the food going to be good? Are the staff well trained and capable of executing one of the most important days ever? Well we can say without question, they nailed it and I would like to elaborate some more. The Mansion has been recently renovated. You can see that they have invested a great deal into improving it without destroying the historic, old charm of the place. From our first contact, through the entire process Gary was the consummate professional and host. I believe he has been in this type of business for 40+ years and it clearly shows. We planned a non-traditional style reception and honestly it could have never went well if it was for Gary's flexibility, attentiveness and expertise. You can tell he loves what he does and truly cares about giving you the best for your event. We had many outside vendors and Gary worked well with all of them, another really important factor. On wedding day, you will quickly realize that the next group of people equally important to your day are the staff led by Louis (Maître D) and Erika (Bridal Attendant). They both deserve a special thanks and appreciation for the fantastic job they did and again how they were so committed to ensuring the best day for us!!! With so many details, nuances and things you don't realize need attention they handled with perfection. They were the all-stars! You won't be disappointed with the Mansion! 5++++!

    -My husband and I just had our wedding on February 24th at the Mansion at Oyster Bay and we both feel so excited and happy that it was so outstanding. Leading up to the wedding we had seamless help and guidance from the director there, Gary. Not only was he a pleasure to work with, but he had such a great idea of what would work and how we could implement our vision that we felt completely at ease during the whole planning process. Gary is the best and you are in great hands with him. Every possible thing you could think that might have needed to be done, was done well in advance so I had no worries the day of.
    -The wedding itself went seamlessly and we had the best time. Our Bridal attendant Erica and Maître D’ Dmitri were both fantastic and anticipated our every need. Erica had the perfect touch and knew just what I needed before I even knew I needed it. She is also so sweet and was a pleasure to share my important day with. Erica and Dmitri organized the ceremony and reception perfectly. Dmitri was awesome and kept my husband well taken care of all day.
    -The Mansion at Oyster Bay is beautiful and I am so happy we chose it for our wedding. The food was amazing and it was the perfect space for dancing. There is also an outside area that we were lucky enough to make use of even though it was February. Any newly engaged couples should head there if you want a stress free wedding!

    My husband and I had our wedding on March 3rd, 2018 and it was perfect, as promised. Since the first day we visited this venue and met with our main contact, Gary, we knew this would be the place we would have our wedding. Early on our research we discovered negative reviews that were based on previous ownership, but all those reviews did not become a factor in our decision once we met Gary and saw The Mansion.

    Gary was our point of contact throughout the entire process, he was very attentive to our needs, responded promptly to any questions via text, always available, and always assured us that everything would be perfect. As my husband and I did not get married before we went with his suggestions for all our vendors, who turned out to be great; we highly recommend the in-house vendors. Long story short, Gary played a huge part in our decision, but The Mansion is a special and beautiful place!!! It has a Gatsby feel to it that makes it even more glamorous.

    On the day of our wedding everything went better than expected. The venue was setup better than we anticipated, the entire staff was attentive; and believe us we had a lot of details we wanted throughout The Mansion. Our Maitre'D Luis, Bridal Attendant Erica, and staff went beyond what we expected. They made sure we didn't need anything and that we stuck to our timeline; they even made sure our parents were okay at all times.

    In conclusion, this was a very special day for us and we are glad we went with this venue but what makes it more amazing is the staff that runs it.

    Having my wedding at the Mansion at Oyster Bay on 11/11/17 was one of the best decisions I had made. The planning ran so smoothly thanks to Matthew and the wedding day was amazing and went on without any issues thanks again to Matthew (he was my Maître D as well!) and Erica (my bridal attendant). From the beginning Matthew made this experience one of the best I could have asked for. He was very easy going and knowledgeable about everything! Any questions I ever had for him were quickly responded to and answered. There were renovations going on throughout the planning of my wedding and he was great at keeping us informed and also allowing us to stop by a few times to see what was going on. When it came to the food tasting I was so ecstatic. We had a nice table set up outside on the patio and all the food was amazing, making me look forward to my big day even more. The chef even made us an extra dish to try out which we quickly added to our cocktail hour as a station, so delicious!

    When my wedding day came, everything was set up everything exactly as we indicated, and the personal touches throughout the mansion were a beautiful surprise. Matthew and Erica were always there when I needed them. There was no searching for where they were, they almost knew right away when a drink was needed or a question was being asked! Erica set up an amazing display of our cocktail hour food in the bridal suite so that my husband and I were able to try everything and enjoy it before joining our cocktail hour. During the evening she was also a savior when my bustle broke and she pinned it all back for me on a few occasions!

    The Mansion at Oyster Bay was truly amazing. My guests are still raving about the food, atmosphere, and service 2 months later. I would suggest any bride looking for a mansion wedding to choose The Mansion at Oyster Bay. It was the wedding of my dreams thanks to these amazing people!

    Our daughter was married on June 26, 2016 at the Woodlands and we could not be happier about having selected this venue. Everyone raved about the food be it the cocktail hour , the dinner, or the Viennese table. The service was great! If you asked for something, you got it. Probably the best aspect of having the affair there was our guests were able to enjoy the beautiful spaces inside and out of the building - they weren't stuck in one room.

    My husband and I had our wedding at the Woodlands on 11/21/2015 and we were extremely pleased with the services!

    All of our guests complimented us on the food served at the wedding (especially the cocktail hour and dinner). Some even told us it was the best cocktail hour they ever had! The venue itself was beautifully put together, warm and inviting. I had a lot of personal touches I planned myself, and gave the staff at the Woodlands all the items with instructions on how to put them together. They executed my requests perfectly and without complaint.

    Our Maitre'D Louis and Bridal Attendant Erika made sure everything went smoothly, and were always available to make sure we had everything we needed.

    All in all, the Woodlands was a beautiful and unique venue, with lovely food. Our wedding was exactly how we imagined!

    I had my wedding at The Woodlands this past Saturday 12/12. I was by far the most amazing day I could have ever imagined. From the moment my husband and I saw the Woodlands, we knew this was the only place for our wedding. With all of the fireplaces and the intimate setting, since you are the only event happening at the time, it was the perfect spot for a winter wedding. Since our day wound up being 60 degrees, the day of, we were asked if we wanted to move half of our cocktail hour outside on the patio with the fire heaters. It was the best decision and all of our guests loved it! We had the grand doors on the dance floor open all night leading out to the other patio where there were more fire pits. Everyone at the Woodlands was more than accommodating. My bridal attendant Erika was AMAZING. From brushing the hair off my face to putting a drink in my hand, she made our day that much more special and perfect. She was always around and worked her butt off. She decorated the mansion exactly how I had asked and went above and beyond for me. The maitre d, Luis, was just as amazing. From our first meeting to picking out the menu and finalizing everything, he bent over backwards for us and helped the show run so smoothly, and I am not always the easiest to please. Our guests raved about the food, the grounds, the location, and the staff. I cannot say enough wonderful things about The Woodlands!

    Words cannot describe how amazing The Woodlands is! From the gorgeous view pulling up to the mansion, the elegance of each room, to the wonderful people that work there…I could not have been happier! The staff was absolutely amazing and made us feel as if we were at home. We worked with Steve to plan the details of our menu and he went above and beyond to customize our menu to reflect my husband’s culture. He truly exceeded our expectations! Our guests talked for months about how wonderful the food was and I couldn’t agree more! I was able to enjoy all of the food at our wedding and it was AMAZING!! Raymond was awesome as well, he made sure everything ran smoothly the day of the wedding and was so accommodating! My bridal attendant Iris was fabulous! She was so sweet and truly made me feel special. My husband’s attendant Gerard was amazing as well! He was so much fun to be around and was always there when you needed something. I also loved the fact that we were able to personalize each room at the Woodlands with our pictures and other decorations that were important to us. I can truly say that I had my dream wedding at The Woodlands and I am forever grateful!!!

    I have to say the Woodlands staff were outstanding and extremely accommodating. From the moment we signed the contract they were attentive to all my concerns and made sure we were 100% happy with everything. We met with the chef Mirvin, and he designed a menu to fit our preferences. We had 2 tastings because of my concerns and then a 3rd to finalize everything. My guests raved about the food and service. Thanks Debi, Abhi, Mirvin, Steve, and Erica for making our day so special. You did an awesoe job!

    Don't even think twice about it... The Woodlands is an extraordinarily beautiful and romantic venue that offers warmth and beauty like no other venue on the Island.

    In addition to the grounds and the mansion itself, the team at the Woodlands is beyond amazing. From our initial meeting with Debbie, to the food tasting and planning with Maria and Dave, to the day of with Iris, Ramone, Marvine and the rest of the staff, our experience was full of happiness, ease and sheer joy. Our friends and family raved about the outside patio space where heated lamps kept them warm and the phenomenal food that perfectly reflected our two cultures and tastes. The attention to detail at our wedding was impecable and the reception was flawless.

    The Woodlands at Woodbury is Long Island's Best Kept Secret for the Perfect Wedding! Our wedding was easily, by far, the best day of our lives, thanks in no small part to the Woodlands at Woodbury. From the moment my now-husband and I walked onto the grounds, we knew the Woodlands was special. The Woodlands was intimate, beautiful and rich in history, with staff that went above and beyond, to not only welcome us, but make us feel at home.

    The estate and gorgeous greenery of the Woodlands' grounds far surpassed any wedding fantasy I had; growing up on Long Island, I dreamed of a waterfront wedding but the Woodlands was romantic, elegant, and spoke more to me than anything else I could have dared imagine. Debi, Dave, Raymond, Erica and Gerard were charming and attentive, and Marvin, the executive chef, is a culinary talent beyond measure.

    Our guests have raved about the food, which we have repeatedly been told was "the best" ever served at a wedding (and not "typical wedding food,") as well as the flowers and the music, all provided by the Woodlands' house vendors (Black Dahlia and Then Til Now).

    One of the best aspects of the Woodlands was that they have only one event at a time - the entirety of the estate and the grounds belonged to my husband and I on our wedding day and we were even encouraged to make it our home. The Woodlands invited us to bring in family pictures which they carefully placed on the mantle and in the various rooms, making it home. The Woodlands will always have a special place in our hearts for the romance it provided on our special day.

    I encourage any couple looking to celebrate their love to visit the Woodlands. You won't want to leave.

    I can't even put into words how thankful we are that we chose the Woodlands for our wedding. Everyone that we worked with that day was absolutely amazing and they made us feel so special. We could not have asked for a more perfect place to have our wedding. The mansion was beautiful and the staff set-up all of our decorations exactly how I imagined.     We knew The Woodlands at Woodbury was going to be our wedding venue from the minute we came to the top of the driveway. It is an absolutely stunning venue with very well kept original features and modern updates which ticked all the boxes we wanted for our wedding reception venue. Being able to have the entire venue on the day of the wedding was key as you can really make it your own, with any personalization and details absolutely welcomed by The Woodlands team. I cannot say enough about the team at The Woodlands. We had a tricky situation where we were planning our wedding from London and what could have been incredibly complicated and stressful ended up being very straightforward. Steven and his team were so accommodating to us and our situation, and easily accessible via email and when we were in town for a few visits before the wedding. I could not have asked for more.

    We had an amazing wedding day, there were no problems, issues, or surprises. Five months after our wedding people are still commenting on the beautiful venue and amazing food. Not only is The Woodlands a fantastic venue but they have a fantastic, hard working team. A big thank you in particular to Stephen, Ray, Iris (the best bridal attendant who I cannot rave enough about)!

    Our wedding was more beautiful than we could've ever imagined! My now husband and I fell in love with The Woodlands the second we walked in the door. The grounds and the mansion are incredibly romantic and offer so many ways to make your wedding personal and unique. Our guests are still talking about how amazing the food tasted, how beautiful and unique the venue is and what a great time they had. The Woodlands truly made our dream wedding come true! Erica must be the world's greatest bridal attendant and Steve was so easy going and made sure every detail was exactly as we had arranged.     Our wedding day was ABSOLUTELY everything we could have dreamed of! Once we entered the grounds to see the Woodlands for the first time, we fell in love with it and could not imagine our wedding being anywhere else. The sales manager at the time was so personable and warm, her presence was a major factor in our booking the Woodlands so quickly. With her departure, it made coordinating a few things closer to the wedding a little more challenging, but Steve walked us through our last steps leading up to the wedding. He made sure that everything was perfect for us for the wedding day, even our AMAZING pumpkin wedding cake! The wedding day was seamless and was everything we could have hoped for. Everything went as planned and it was the happiest day of our lives together thus far. Now two months after the wedding, we are STILL getting compliments about how it was the best wedding that our friends/families had been to - everyone was especially amazed by the amount and the quality of the food. They also could not stop talking about our pumpkin wedding cake! It was a great party and many family members have asked to do it all over again! We highly recommend The Woodlands to anyone who is planning a wedding or any other party!

    Our wedding at The Woodlands was the most incredible experience I could have imagined. My husband & I are still hearing from our guests about how much they loved our wedding & how amazing the service, food, & mansion was. Before choosing our venue we had been to The Woodlands many times for different occasions but on our wedding day it was like we had never been there before. Seeing the mansion done up for our wedding was unreal!

    From the moment we arrived that day every single detail was handled for us. We had a very large bridal party (30 people total) & all of their needs were handled as well. Steve, our manager, set up the entire upstairs of the mansion with drinks & food & let the bridal party have the run of the place. It was so much fun for everyone! My bridal party still talks about how much fun they had hanging out before our ceremony.

    Erica was my bridal attendant & I couldn't be more grateful for how easy she made the day for me. I didn't have to think about a single thing because she thought of everything for me. I always had a drink in my hand & every time I turned around she was reapplying my lip gloss or making me laugh. She was such a life saver.

    The weeks leading up to our wedding were handled with such professionalism & such detail by Steve & the rest of the staff. They laid out every detail of what we had to do & with a 300 person guest list we had a LOT to take care of. Steve was always available for every phone call or email & made sure we stayed calm.

    If anything went wrong that day, we never found out. There are so many people on staff at The Woodlands that you wouldn't know if anything went wrong. Someone is always taking care of everything & making sure the only thing you're worried about is having the best day of your life. From the stunning look of the mansion as you arrive, to the incredible viennese hour to end your wedding, The Woodlands is the most elegant & incredible venue out there. We could not have been happier!

    When we discovered The Mansion at The Woodlands at Woodbury, we instantly knew this was the perfect place for our wedding reception. An elegant and intimate estate with gorgeous grounds, the setting is so beautiful! As we planned our wedding, the entire staff at the Woodlands was such a pleasure to work with. From Debbie in sales, to Steve the manager, to Ray our maitre’d, and to Iris my bridal attendant, we were always given warm and personal attention. Our highest compliments also go to the chefs-- as the food at The Woodlands is absolutely outstanding! Our guests are still raving about how delicious everything was (from a creative and grand cocktail hour to the excellent entrees to the terrific wedding cake which is all made in-house).     My wedding was the best wedding I have ever been to. Not because it was my wedding, but because of the Woodlands at Woodbury. The service was phenomenal. The food was fantastic. And the mansion and the grounds were absolutely stunning. Every staff member treated us like family. Our whole family keeps telling us (months later) about what a wonderful time they had. They loved the food... they go on and on and on about the delicious food! And, they loved the old world feel of mansion, the patio, the way the main dining room has glass doors to the back patio (a great place to smoke cigars fyi) and the bar (a great place to watch your favorite sports team). From Margaret, to Steve to Patty - the most amazing people to work with who made our very special day run smoothly. I LOVED MY WEDDING AT THE WOODLANDS!     I had my wedding reception at the The Woodlands and it was amazing! I honestly had no compliants. The staff was very friendly and very very helpful. A big thumbs up to the Maitri'D and my bridal attendant Iris. Now the food.. OMG! I booked this place before i had the tasting so i was just going to hearsay about the food but OMG the food in this venue is the best I've ever had at a wedding and all my guests concur. I wish i would've taken some home LOL. Planing the wedding i worked with Debi and then Steve both great. At the end working with Steve i felt confident that our requests were taken seriously, and he's a cool guy! Thanks to the Woodlands team for an awesome, unforgetable wedding.

    We had the most wonderful wedding at the Woodlands. From the time my fiance and I went to look at it, till we drove away on the night of our wedding, we have only wonderful things to say about The Woodlands!!! Margaret (in sales) is a warm, welcoming person who made sure we were always taken care of. Steve and Iris were outstanding the day of our wedding. We were able to decorate as if it was our home. Our friends and family are still talking about the delicious food and service they received. We took all our pictures outdoors as the grounds are beautifully kept. If you want a spectacular wedding, this is the place to be!!!

    I cannot say enough wonderful things about The Woodlands and their staff. To start, it is an amazing place to have a wedding. It is not the typical catering hall that is around. Instead I really felt like my husband and I had our own mansion for the day. Every single thing was taken care of the way I wanted - from the family pictures to the candles to our lounge area. Everything was perfection. The staff was amazing at taking care of my every need and want but yet they were not intrusive. And the food was AMAZING. I still have people telling me it was the best food they have had at a wedding hands down and that it was like being at a restaurant. Thank you so much to the whole team at The Woodlands. You made our day amazing!

    Wow, what can I say. The most beautiful and elegant mansion on the island. When my husband and I got engaged we wanted a place that had a feeling of a home for us. Not just another catering hall. This was our second wedding but the feel we wanted to create was that of a place where our children, family and friends would feel "cozy, at home, relaxed...yet there must be a touch of royalty there too". We came upon The Woodlands and at that very moment we knew.. this had to be the place. After booking our wedding, every moment moving forward we were in fact treated like Royalty. The entire staff was so accommodating, right down to recreating The Drawing room into a place for our ceremony... because that's what I wanted. It was exquisite. I had the opportunity to meet the owner, Mr. Singh..what a wonderful, caring and generous man. Margaret who is the Manager of craziness made sure our every need was met and made me feel that there was not a thing to worry about. And she succeeded. I even met personally with the head chef.. an amazing experience.

    I cannot boast or brag enough about a group of people that I now consider my "extended family". My daughter's Sweet 16 is in December 2012 and guess where we are having it????

    From the incredible food, to the beautiful atmosphere, to the long and winding road to the front door, to the unbelievable staff, I cannot say enough.

    Begin your lives at The Woodlands...it will be the beginning of the most unbelievable fairy tail.

    Review of The Woodlands, Woodbury, New York

    It’s hard to believe that our wedding at The Woodlands in Woodbury, Long Island was five months ago. As a busy new bride, I finally have a moment to write a review and share our wonderful experience with all future brides and grooms considering this venue. After our engagement on New Year’s eve 2009 (officially the first few minutes of January 1, 2010), we soon began a six month search for the perfect venue. A great deal of time was spent searching possibilities online, reading bridal magazines and visiting the places that looked interesting. We were looking for a venue that didn’t feel like a catering hall, had only one event at a time, was unique and elegant, a place that could create an intimate setting and above all have some historical background…. a place with a story on which we could begin our own story. Finally in early September 2010, we found The Woodlands and it won our hearts. When we toured The Woodlands we encountered a beautiful Gold Coast Estate on magnificent grounds with an Italian villa style. The house was designed by the famous architects, Delano and Aldrich, who were known for many of Long Island’s Gold Coast mansions from country estates to large ones such as Oheka Castle. The house was commissioned in 1918 by a prominent lawyer of the time named, Victor Morawetz, who gave it the beautiful name “The Three Ponds” (named after the three actual ponds that surrounded three sides of the house in the gardens). Later on, in 1928, the house was sold to the famous industrialist, Andrew Mellon, who bought it as a wedding present for his daughter, Alyssa. The house itself, beautifully preserved as it was from the early 1900’s and the background history had us hooked. My Mom, our official wedding planner and consultant, did a lot of research on the beautiful home and made an album of pictures of its history (if you select the Woodlands be sure to see a copy of this research we gave to Ms. Brower). The estate is now owned by the town of Oyster Bay and is currently a wedding venue run by the Singh Hospitality Group. All the charm and the elegance of the original house remain intact and one might feel transported back in time upon entering the property. The house fascade, surrounding garden walls, entry and staircase halls are all as they were in the 1920’s. In later years, Alyssa Mellon Bruce, changed the name of the estate to The Woodlands and made some interior enhancements such as the beautiful and intimate wood paneled drawing room. My fiancé and I had hoped to have a relatively small wedding of around 100 guests and longed for an intimate setting that would be charming and unique. We fell in love with this room as the place where we hoped to have our ceremony. We felt this was the historical heart of the house and would be perfect for our fall later afternoon ceremony. There are of course, many other lovely options for ceremonies inside the reception room for larger weddings or even outside in the gardens overlooking the beautiful woodland gardens and rolling green lawns. The house itself was extended in recent years with an elegant reception ballroom toward the back of the house. The décor and design is a perfect compliment to the rest of the house. In addition there is a fabulous bridal suite and the groom and his groomsmen can enjoy the gentlemen’s bar which also has beautiful wood paneling. Since your event is the only one at the time, the bride and groom and their family get to be the hosts of this enchanting estate for several magical hours with the assistance of your venue team who help you bring your vision to a reality. While our wedding had only 105 guests, the cocktail hour room and reception room were arranged in such a manner as to maintain the intimacy but still give us all the space the home had to offer.
    The setting of the wedding as we’ve described so far was extremely important and The Woodlands was perfect in every way in that regard. Of course, while the venue setting is critical, all of it would be worthless without the proper staff and other basic elements that make a wedding successful as a perfect event. We carefully evaluated these elements as well upon selecting The Woodlands and we were convinced from the beginning that we had made the right choice. The staff we worked with were extremely helpful and willing to go to any length to help us make our wedding vision and all its details a reality. The key person in working with us from the moment we arrived, was our banquet manager, Margaret Brower. She worked with us from the beginning of the journey until the end in every area of our Woodlands wedding. Ms. Brower assisted us in fine tuning the ceremony details, menu, vision, as well as seeing that everything ran smoothly on the day of the wedding. We also were introduced to the general manager, Steve Dumeng, as the wedding date got closer. He supervised the orchestration of the entire event to make sure that every detail was taken care of and that the staff would be fully advised and in place. Shortly before the wedding we also met our Maitre’d, Raymond, who was wonderful and managed the affair to perfection so that we were “worry free” (actually “no worries” was the phrase Raymond would always tell us and it was true). As an added and invaluable person for the bride, the Woodlands provided me with a bridal assistant, Iris, who was with me the entire event, seeing to my every need and keeping me calm so that I could enjoy our day (which I did completely). All the waiters, waitresses and additional staff were also superb. In addition, I would highly recommend any of the house vendors of the Woodlands we used. For our band (9 piece) we decided on After Hours with owner, Phil Vollaro. They were incredible and had our guests dancing and smiling non- stop (they also do DJs etc.). For our photography we used Michael at Gray Studios. He really captured the wedding beautifully and we are continuing to work with him and his staff on crafting our albums and DVD. For flowers, Pedestals was wonderful and went above and beyond to create incredible flowers under the guidance of Virgil Alessi on staff there. With all the house vendors (and there are others listed), it is always best to take the time to interview them (house or not) and see which are a good match for you.
    The next big element that was important in venue selection is the food. Here the Woodlands did not disappoint. In truth, we did decide to go to a tasting before booking the venue, but it was worth it to get a clear idea of the caliber of the food. The staff takes the time to assist you in selecting your menu and you have the option to upgrade or add items if you wish. We stayed with the basic menu items offered (all fantastic) as well as the cocktail hour stations and passed hor’doevres. We did add a Caviar station with a magnificent ice sculpture which our guests loved but in truth really didn’t need it since there was plenty to select from. Since we had our ceremony at the Woodlands, our guests were greeted with champagne and some crudités a half hour before as they gathered in the beautiful entry halls. We had a pianist playing some classic love songs which made the pre ceremony really romantic. As an added plus, the bridal suite also has a mini buffet of foods and champagne for the bride and bridesmaids as well as family. We also had additional appetizers set up for the groomsmen in the gentlemen’s bar.
    The main dinner selection items we picked were all superb. Our first course was the roasted pear salad followed by a choice of Chilean Sea Bass, Filet Mignon and Duck. One was better than the next. The trio of desserts were also a big hit (you can pick what you like). We had cheesecake, chocolate cake and mini pumpkin pie tarts. Our wedding cake was a vision to behold (provided by the Woodlands) – four tiers (as we requested) with a beautiful design that we had provided a picture of. Our florist added the final touch with a cascade of our signature roses (leonitis) as well as on the top of the cake. Our interior layers were yellow cake and chocolate pudding alternating with layers of chocolate cake and cannoli filling. This is the only item regarding the food that could have been better, the interior of the cake. Somehow the cannoli filling ended up as a buttercream filling with no chips. In the end, the truth is most guests never eat the wedding cake after the trio of desserts but for those brides and grooms that are fanatical about the interior of the cake, you might want to consider an upgrade here. All the other Woodlands desserts we sampled at food tastings were incredible but the wedding cake was hard to evaluate since at the tastings you get very small squares of the various cakes and an array or fillings that you have to mix and match to come up with a decision. Without actually eating a slice of cake with the icing on top, it isn’t easy to know how it will be. Perhaps schedule an appointment with the Woodlands baker or as mentioned, upgrade on your own. For us, although the cake interior was a bit disappointing, the look of the cake was perfect and that was very important to us.
    In the end, for anyone considering the Woodlands as a venue for a wedding or other special event, we give it an enthusiastic thumbs up. Our wedding could never have achieved the vision we had and given our guests the experience we dreamed of in any other place. The setting of the estate with the surrounding beautiful property (especially spectacular in fall), the elegant and historical interior, first class service and food, attentive and caring staff all contribute to a one of a kind event. Add to this recipe your own creativity and vision (such as staging the entry halls and mantles with all your own touches in seasonal florals, personal items, photos etc.), truly knowing what you want and communicating that to the staff ….. you will surely achieve an incredible wedding. Our wedding was more magnificent than we could have imagined. Even now, five months later, our guests still have not stopped talking about it. We wish we could live it all over again. With a great venue and staff like the Woodlands (and lucky for us a tireless and talented creative wedding planner like my Mom), we had a day that was unique and unforgettable. To any of you who are planning an upcoming event there, you have selected a great place– best of luck and much happiness. We hope this review has helped you in your wedding journey.

    My reception at the Woodlands was everything I dreamed it could be. With the invaluable help of Margaret, Steve, Ray and the entire Woodlands staff, my husband and I truly had one of the most amazing nights of our lives, surrounded by family and friends. For a November wedding, my husband and I wanted an elegant venue that still looked warm and welcoming, especially with the chilly air. The Woodlands was perfect - beautifully decorated, working fireplaces, warm tones throughout - it was exactly what we pictured. Margaret, our banquet manager, was simply a joy to work with - one of the warmest people I've ever met and offered great advice every step of the way in planning the reception. Steve did an incredible job of organizing the event, making sure all the pieces were in place and making me, my husband and my mother feel like everything would go perfectly (and it did). Ray was the perfect host that evening - I had so many comments from our guests about how friendly he was, even going so far as to check in on my guests with food allergies to make sure everything was alright with their meals. My bridal attendant did nothing short of a fantastic job - kept me on time and where I needed to be, always there when I needed something. Bottom line, for a classy, elegant event at a beautiful venue with easy, wonderful people to work with - look no further. The Woodlands is the perfect place!

    You will not find a more accommodating and professional staff, or a more beautiful setting for your wedding or reception. The team of Steven and Margaret are reason enough to stop your search immediately. It is rare that one of the things your guests mention to you is the quality of the food in your reception, but all of our guests raved about everything from the cocktail hour to the passed desserts. We have to mention that Steven and Margaret went out of their way to work with two people in the military. They were incredibly flexible and worked with us to ensure that our reception was perfect. You WILL NOT find a more professional or flexible location dedicated to exceeding your expectations and making your event unforgettable for you and your guests.

    My husband and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the Woodlands.
    There was not one point during the planning process up to the day of the wedding that we needed to worry. We knew we were in good hands wih Melanie during the planning and the staff the day of could not have been better. The food, service and entire evening was perfect and we could not have asked for more.

    We had our wedding this past fall of 2013 at the Woodlands. The wedding could not have gone any better. The staff at the Woodlands from start to finish guide you through every step very professionally and it really helps during the wedding planning process. The food and drink were amazing. It was a cool and beautiful Fall day and they allowed us to have a small bonfire in a fire pit in the back courtyard which our guests LOVED. The reception hall is a 1920s style mansion that is renovated and is a very classy and different style then your usual catering hall. You basically rent out a mansion for the day and your party is the only party! The surroundings and rooms inside make for great photos. The support staff the day of the event is amazing and makes everything work smoothly! We were so happy to have had our wedding at the Woodlands and our day could not have went any better.

    From beginning to end, we were delighted with our experience at the Woodlands. Everything was handled in a very classy way. We were handled with the utmost of professionalism and responsiveness. Whatever we requested was responded to. They went out of their way to quarentee that we would be happy with our selections on our menu, even adding things that they thought you might be happy with. The food was excellent. The staff in general couldn't have been nicer.To this day, almost a year later, people still talk about what a lovely wedding.

    We got married at The Woodlands at Woodbury on 10-13-13 and it was PERFECT!!!

    Everyone was just wonderful. The general manager made every request come true with not even a blink of an eye. He even suggested things to make the day easier or smoother that we wouldn't have known we could do. Every request was answered with an "of course." The attendants were amazing too - I had to actually tell them it was "OK" not to follow me around everywhere after a certain point. They were just so helpful and nice the ENTIRE day/night. My bridal attendant, Iris, set up the mansion with all the family photos and candles I brought JUST as I would have, and I didn't even have to tell her how.

    Bottom line - the day was seamless. We were able to fully relax and enjoy because they made us feel like we could trust them, and we could. Our guests raved about the food, the service and the atmosphere. I would recommend the Woodlands to everyone - they are pros who know how to make you feel so special and relaxed. My husband and I had a wonderful wedding because of this venue and their amazing staff. I couldn't imagine being happier anywhere else.

    I loved them! Great food, great staff. My guests were incredibly happy. Steve and Erica were absolutely awesome! Absolutely recommend. The grounds were beautiful as well.

    I had my wedding at the woodlands yesterday and it was a great success!  The staff organized and timed everything wonderfully and everything ran so smoothly. The grounds are also beautiful and they only host one wedding at a time so the entire mansion is yours!  The food was absolutely delicious and elegantly displayed. Importantly, baking and cooking happens on the premises. Our guests were so impressed by the setting and elegance and so will yours!!

    My husband and I were both looking for a unique reception site. When we saw The Woodlands we were immediately sold. From the beginning Maureen and her staff worked tirelessly with us to create the most spectacular day. We were nervous when booking them seeing as it is one of the less well known places (at teh time) and relatively new in terms of wedding locations, but we had absolutely nothing to fear. The people there were friendly, easy to work with and very understanding. When we came up a little short of people, Maureen gave us some wonderful additions to our menus that really added to the day. Our biggest sigh of relief was that my Mother in Law was really worried about the 45 minutes of “down time” that people would have in between the ceremony and the reception. Maureen worked with us to provide a fruit and cheese platter, cold drinks and champagne to be placed out for early guests. It really put my husband’s mom at ease and I am incredibly grateful for this wonderful idea. Additionally, all of our favors, guest books, menus, etc. were handled with extreme care. My bridal attendant Nicole was so amazing. She took care of us so well making sure that we ate and took time for ourselves. She was so pleasant and sweet that by the end of the night I felt like she was more of a friend. The food was delicious and as one of our guests put it, “the steak melted in your mouth.” Wow. Finally, we wanted a sparkler send off and the Woodlands put together a table outside with one of the matrie-d’s lighting them and handing them out. I did not even think of this but it was a perfect touch to end a perfect day. My good friend exclaimed, “ I wish I could live here.” I couldn’t agree more!! I would recommend them to everyone

    The Woodlands was beautiful!! My husband and I and our parents fell in love with it as soon as we saw it (and we saw A LOT of venues)! Working with different people throughout the process was a little annoying, we booked through one person, planned the day with the manager, then had a different guy running the reception but overall everything was wonderful! We had hoped for an outdoor ceremony but unfortunately it started to rain a little while we were doing pictures beforehand, the staff allowed me to make the decision to move the ceremony inside at the last minute and everything looked perfect! My only little complaint is not serious - when I met with the manager before the wedding to plan the details of the day I changed the schedule of how they usually do things (when the mother/groom and father/daughter dances took place, when the horah would be and what time dessert would be served) and instead of going with my requested schedule (as we agreed to do) they basically tossed it out and stuck to their usual schedule of events. It was not a big deal and nobody knew that things did not go as I had planned them so I really don't think it was a big deal, but I just wanted to let other brides know in case they cared. Also, my bridal attendant kept calling me by the wrong name but I just laughed it off. Overall, the Woodlands was amazing and everything was great!!

    Our wedding was in December 2016 - you can ignore the other reviews on this site because the new management of the Woodlands is phenomenal. More than one month later, guests are still talking about the amazing food, terrific staff, and beautiful atmosphere of The Woodlands. While we did work with multiple staff members during the management transition, the final team that handled our wedding was professional, attentive to detail, and coordinated the logistics of our evening reception beautifully. Everything was set up everything exactly as I indicated, and the personal touches throughout the mansion were so striking. They let us bring in so much of our own stuff, including homemade cookies and pastries for dessert, and were very flexible in adapting the menu and alcohol selection to fit our preferences.

    The venue has incredible original details and we loved having free range over the mansion to enjoy the fireplaces, outdoor patio (heat lamps included during the winter!), and different rooms. People are still calling me to talk about the food, which was absolutely delicious (the duck was a huge hit). Don’t be alarmed by negative reviews from prior years –our wedding at The Woodlands was perfect.

    My husband and I had our reception at the Woodlands on November 13, 2015. It was absolutely gorgeous. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that we received everything we asked for. Luis was especially attentive, as was my bridal attendant Alexandra. They were amazing from the very beginning of the night through to the very end. They provided us with food and drinks the entire night and made sure everything ran smoothly (as it did). The guests were in awe of how beautiful everything looked, especially the lobby, entrance, and fireplaces. Throughout the entire night my guests were asking me how I found such a beautiful venue. However, it was a bit of a nerve racking process due to all of the changes in staff recently. We met with several different general managers up to the week before our wedding, so we had to make sure that we kept detailed records ourselves of our contract, payments, and what we wanted. In spite of the nerves and anxiety caused by that, we were extremely happy in how beautiful our wedding was. I would have given it a 5/5 had it not been for the constant changes in management.

    Its like a castle in a golf setting
    great place perfect for vintage and Connie is so pleasant always.

    Very beautiful venue. Well kept and clean. Food was delicious and well presented. Professionalism of the staff was lacking in some. Wedding attendants are not well trained. Margaret's departure was a HUGE loss.....her poise and presence added tremendous confidence and class to the atmosphere.

    This was the wedding venue of my dreams. The staff of The Woodlands were phenomenal...from my bridal assistant to the waiters to the chef. Everything was perfect. I can not think of one bad thing to say about this venue.

    Woodlands at Woodbury is beautiful. I couldn't have been happier with the day. The bridal attendant was amazing. Very attentive and she packed up everything at the end of the night into boxes so we didnt have to rush and find everything we wanted to take home. I would def suggest getting married here but there are a few things to be cautious of. We had a few tiny hiccups the day of the wedding. We had matches we personalized to be put on the bars. They seemed to have disappeared and never made it out. We also brought it some special wine, which we know wasn't all used and we never got back the extra bottles. We called the next day to get these items back and never got a call back. We were also told that there would be someone handing out the favors at the end of the night but they were placed on a table and not handed out so some people missed them or took more than they should have. BUT these are minor things. Everything else was perfect.

    Another thing to be watchful of and this is an important one. Make sure you keep track of all the money you give them. When we went for our final payment they tried to charge us an extra $5,000. They had not recorded one of the checks we had sent in. Luckily I was able to bring up my back account on my phone and I could prove that we did in fact make the payment.

    A couple of times i tried to call to get some information from Woodlands and they did not call back which was frustrating but in the end they did a wonderful job.

    So I would say if you are an organized person and you keep track of everything and you are looking for a beautiful place to get married this would be it. You get a lot of food for the price and there is no property fee which most mansion do charge.

    We were very pleased with The Woodlands. However, I would recommend checking and double checking everything with your catering manager. There were a number of things we had asked for that we didn't receive and the room wasn't originally set the way we had asked for. Our bridal attendants were fantastic and fixed any of the problems as quickly as they could. The rest of the staff was great except for two of the waitresses who were young and cared more about flirting with a few of our guests instead of paying attention to their tables. The AC broke in the beginning of the party and was out for a while but luckily was fixed but the room was still very warm in certain areas. Also three gifts went missing which was really upsetting but all were checks so they were cancelled immediately.

    All in all we had an amazing day and luckily none of these problems ruined the day. The food was great as we expected.

    The Woodlands was the perfect setting for our September 2013 wedding. The grounds are beautiful, the mansion is perfect for a classic vintage setting. The day of service was outstanding, we loved our bridal & groom attendants Iris & Gerard- they were truly a class act. They went above and beyond to make us feel incredibly special on such an important day. The food is pretty good, as far as "wedding food" goes.. the décor was exactly what we wanted, warm, inviting & personal. We loved that it felt like our mansion for the evening getting to personalize it however we wanted. Overall it was the best day of our lives.

    I had my beautiful wedding at the Woodlands on 9/9/12 and it was beautiful. the Venue itself is goreous, very well maintained and unique. the staff was really friendly and pleasant to work with. Steve and Margaret were always there to assist and help me throughout the whole preparation process. my only complaint was the fact that the sign was taken off on the day of my wedding and a lot of my guests got lost and were late for my ceremony which was pretty upsetting. otherwise i will always go back and have more affairs at the Woodlands. also, my guests couldnt stop talking about how great the food was!

    On Friday of your wedding weekend, the Town of Oyster Bay took down our sign and theirs to freshly paint the concrete where our sign sits. They did not put it back until Monday, the day after your wedding. We have put in a request to only do such work mid-week, as our business depends on guests finding us.

    I just had my wedding at The Woodlands on September 1, 2013. Though I enjoyed my wedding very much, I felt that the management at The Woodlands handled certain important aspects very poorly and failed to follow through on many of their promises. First of all, the staff started my ceremony WITHOUT EVEN TELLING ME OR CHECKNG WHETHER OR NOT I WAS READY. This was a disaster. I was putting myself back together after having used the bathroom (which all of you know, is no easy feat while wearing a wedding dress) when the bridal assistant frantically ran into the bridal suite and started rushing me (but didn't tell me that my bridal party was already down the aisle). I hurried to finish getting ready but was confused as to the urgency in her voice. It turns out that the bridal party and guests had been waiting for about 7 minutes (several people confirmed this time estimation) for me to come down the aisle while the string trio played Pachelbel's Canon in D repeatedly. It seems obvious to me that the staff should at least tell the bride that the ceremony is going to begin before sending the bridal party down the aisle!!! It was completely embarrassing and many guests said they were worried that I was a runaway bride!!!
    There were other aspects of my wedding that the staff messed up, such as not providing two chairs for the horah, providing a completely different entrée for one of the choices than was agreed upon and listed in our confirmed menu from the management, and forgetting to put part of our cake topper on the cake (among other things). Steve was very agreeable in person, but not very responsive to our calls and e-mails, and often only answered one or two of several questions I sent him in various e-mails. While I appreciated the staff's willingness to serve a vegan menu (my husband and I are vegan), simple things were made unnecessarily complicated and items that were promised on the written, agreed-upon menu beforehand were not served.

    I had my wedding here last year and I was very disappointed by the staff. They had very bad attitudes the day of the wedding and multiple things went wrong - things a bride should never have to worry about from an "experienced" staff.
