We recently got married September 2024 at the lodge on echo lake and had such a great experience. We were looking for a venue in the Adirondacks that included everything and had lodging right on site, so this totally met our needs. Their cabins on site are so cute and cozy for guests to stay in!
The owner Emily and the coordinator Kathy were such a pleasure to work with and very responsive. I worked with Kathy through every little detail and she went above and beyond making sure everything was answered and everything I wanted was perfect.
They even allowed our dog to be involved in the wedding ceremony and he was able to stay in the cabin with us!
Overall it was such a pleasant experience and I would highly recommend this venue!

The Lodge on Echo Lake was the perfect setting for our rustic casual ceremony and reception. We had our ceremony on the lawn in front of the picturesque lake and our reception inside the lodge. Kathy V. is the manager and event coordinator, she was EXTREMELY helpful through out the entire planning process and was always willing to make changes to accommodate anything. One of the many things I appreciated about Kathy was her quick response time, I would email her with a question or concern and I would get a reply almost immediately. We rented a house on the lake the week of the wedding and I can't tell you how amazing it was to be right there and be able to walk, run or swim over to Echo Lake property. A few of our guests rented the modern cabins and we also had some guests stay in the bunk cabins. Kathy was especially terrific during our ceremony rehearsal, we had an overly excessive large bridal party and she was able to take charge tell everyone where to go and what to do to be prepared for the next day. The day of the event I was confident and certain that if any problem were to arise she and her staff would seamlessly take care of it. The Lodge on Echo Lake is a very popular wedding location, even though there were multiple wedding daily and no matter how busy she was Kathy always made me feel appreciated and that our day mattered. Which I'm sure is very important to any bride!! I could go on and on about how perfect our day was. The Lodge on Echo Lake will always hold a special place in my heart and I must mention that pictures just don't do it justice, it's much more spectacular in person. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful rustic casual setting.

We had our wedding here about a month ago and we couldn’t of been happier. This venue has everything included, which was exactly what we were looking for. The food was great, the scenery was lovely and Kathy was extremely helpful. I asked her a million questions at random times of the day and she usually responded within 5 minutes to 12 hours. Given the shear amount of couples she has on her plate I was always impressed. The entire staff there was also very helpful and nice and my wedding was amazing. I couldn't of asked for anything better. I highly recommend this venue!

Our experience with The Lodge on Echo Lake was beyond our expectations. I would recommend the Lodge to any bride and groom looking for a unique wedding location with many choices to make your day exactly what you dreamed of. The staff set up our reception with care, and catered to our special requests without hesitation. Our entire day from start to finish ran completely flawlessly! Kathy from the lodge is wonderful to work with! From the start of our wedding planning, she was helpful and there for us at all times! We could e-mail a question or call her with a concern, not only did she respond to us quickly, she did most of the time within an hour! The venue is amazingly beautiful and the food is delicious! We are still having people ask how we discovered this "gem" in the adirondacks! The day of our wedding everything went smoothly and it was all thanks to Kathy and her wonderful team.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this venue, Kathy (wedding coordinator) and the entire crew!!! After seeing them advertised in so many magazines I never thought I could afford them, but after going through lots of different options for the bar got it right in my budget, and without any of the guests even noticing a difference. Every question I asked for options was not only answered but actually plugged into a sample invoice so I could see the full picture. Often my emails were even answered within an hour. One of the great things about the lodge that makes them more affordable than others that advertise lower per plate cost is that they didn't up-charge for every little thing. Others charged $40 per hour per staff for setup and cleanup (rounded up of course), full length table cloths, colored linens, per chair for ceremony, ceremony arbor, etc, etc, etc. there is so much they include that I saved a lot of money on the things I didn't have to buy, rent or outsource like cake stands, arbor, envelope box, and there were even options. the chef can even accommodate individual guests with dietary restrictions: vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, food allergies, you name it. And the food was absolutely delicious!
What really made them stand out more than even just as a venue, or price, bar or food was the people. They were a great team and treated us like family. Their kindness, compassion, calmness and honesty is rarely seen, especially in this field. My wedding was at an unexpectedly and extremely difficult time for my family after my brother passed away 5 days before the wedding. Kathy and the entire crew were wonderful, supportive, and made everything seamless and stress free, which was everything we needed.
I cannot recommend them enough, or thank them enough for everything!!!
PS..... Tips: rent the cabins and early as they book up.

The Coordinator/Senior Sales Agent Kathy Votraw was accommodating, professional, courteous, promptly replied to any inquiries, requests or questions. The Venue is beautiful, spacious, clean and secured so as not to allow any "wedding crashers". All the staff were helpful, responsive and friendly. COVID-19 protocols were followed to guarantee the safety of us and our guests. The food was delicious!!

If you want an amazing Adirondack wedding this is the place. The venue and staff were fantastic. From the rehearsal dinner, meet and greet, ceremony and reception were all fantastic. Guests loved boating on the lake and s'mores at the afterparty bonfire. Every moment was fantastic! I highly recommend Echo Lake!

The venue was absolutely perfect. I wanted a wall of windows to experience the outside while nice and warm inside as it was a winter wedding. I originally worked with Kathy but Ashley came in to relieve Kathy after she retired and Ashley was AMAZING from working with me to meet our expectations to allowing accommodations for me as a breastfeeding bride, she went above and beyond. She helped cue the wedding party to walk down the aisle and helped us prep for the wedding the day before. I have nothing but good things to say. I’ll leave off with the food. Holy cow!!! The portions were INSANELY AMAZING and the food itself was DELECTABLE. I feel it is also important to add that Ashley and I worked on this miles apart as I live in buffalo but had my wedding in Warrensburg. She’s a rockstar and everything was so perfect at this venue.

We could not have asked for a more perfect wedding at the Lodge on Echo Lake. The location and facilities are beautiful and well maintained – it is the perfect place to have a full wedding weekend. The Lodge looks directly out over a stunning Adirondack Lake. We were able to use the Echo Lake campus for activities and our friends and family had a wonderful time participating in tennis, softball and basketball games, as well as a hike. Kathy and Emily were so helpful throughout the entire wedding planning process and allowed us to customize the weekend into exactly what we envisioned. We were very impressed by their flexibility and professionalism. The food was well executed and we were even able to incorporate a special vegetarian recipe created by a friend. Our ceremony was held on the camp's private beach. The wedding day felt completely flawless and the sun was shining, but it was a relief to know there was a backup plan in case it rained! We cannot recommend the Lodge enough to anyone who wants a beautiful, rustic wedding in the Adirondacks!

The Lodge was great. The food was very good and the staff attentive. This was our 3rd wedding to plan and our best experience yet! Kathy was great to work with and answered emails quickly. Our only suggestion would be to upgrade the cabins, including the houses available. For the price, they really need some significant refurbishing. Also, the bonfire was difficult for our mobility challenged guests to get to. But otherwise, we were highly pleased.

Winter Winter Wonderland Wedding
What an amazing venue for our winter wedding. We were looking for a location that let us create our own unique vision for our wedding and The Lodge on Echo Lake was the perfect place! The service was amazing and the food was so delish. We even had the option to have some of our guests stay on property. We could not have been more please with our daughter's wedding at the Lodge. Everyone who attended raved about the Lodge, the food and the service. The pot roast was amazing. Incredible Lakefront Wedding
Our June wedding was incredible. We had a lakefront ceremony and then had a short walk to the venue also overlooking a beautiful quiet and private lake. The deck was a great spot for cocktails and hors d'oeuvres and then we went into the hall. The food was great and everything went really smoothly. If we get married again we'll be back!

Wonderful Venue!

Perfect venue
The Lodge on Echo Lake was the perfect place for our wedding and we couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. Kathy is super responsive and easy to get ahold of for any questions/concerns. The staff was very efficient and ran everything so smoothly, and Kathy had everything organized and made our wedding day completely stress free. They also made setup and cleanup a breeze for us. The venue is so beautiful with the perfect mix of rustic and romantic, and the outdoor scenery is perfect for photos. Our guests raved about the food, and there were so many delicious options to choose from. The bonfire after the wedding was an amazing add-on and definitely worth it. We also stayed in the cabins on-site and they were super clean, comfortable, and spacious. Pricing for everything was extremely reasonable. Overall great location, venue, staff, and service. We wish we could do it all over again and we would 100% recommend working with Kathy and having your event at the Lodge!!

We can't say enough about the Lodge, Kathy was exceptional to work with everything went as smoothly as we had hoped. The bonfire at the end was the icing on the cake. The venue was fantastic and the staff was helpful, yet invisible. They were there when needed but were never in the way. I would highly recommend this venue, all our guests were very impressed and continually asked "How did you find such a great place", "we have been by but never knew this lodge existed" Check this place out if you are looking for a great venue with flexibility. Kathy met all our requests and even had suggestions to help us fit the perfect day into our budget.

Kathy and the staff at echo lake were great!! They were available quickly for questions and had back up plans ready if we needed them ( thankfully we didn't to my knowledge-the bride). Very flexible with plans and setting up . Everyone raved about the food and couldn't get enough of it. Our day fit us very well and a large part of that was the ambiance of the lodge and the staff making it as easy as possible. The fireworks were amazing and a surprise for the bride which the lodge and staff were in on with the groom. An amazing end to a spectacular night can't thank them enough!!!!!

Echo Lake was incredibly flexible in helping us create our dream wedding. We did many unconventional things that they had never done before, and they gave us the space, freedom, and help to push boundaries and create a completely unique and meaningful experience. Beautiful Adirondack Venue
We used the Lodge on Echo Lake for our wedding venue. Kathy and her team were very organized and flexible, which made them very easy to work with! Since the Lodge has several ceremony sites, as well as chairs, tables, linens, food and some basic decorations, it’s very easy to have a wedding here because you don’t have to find a lot of other vendors. We had guests stay in the cabins and it was easy for them to have everything on site. We also had a bonfire at the end of the reception, which was a great way to get additional time to socialize with our guests. When we were at the tasting, we felt like the food tasted a little plain and safe, so we asked them to spice it up for the wedding. Kathy easily made the adjustment and the food was great the day of the wedding! At the wedding, all of the staff at the Lodge were very helpful and polite and our guests had nothing but nice things to say! All in all, we’re so glad we chose the Lodge for our wedding and highly recommend giving them a look if you’re looking for an Adirondack venue!

Perfect Wedding Venue
I could not have asked for a better wedding venue! Kathy is so attentive and responsive during the entire planning process, and the staff was excellent the entire day. The houses and cabins on the property are lovely and make it really easy to not only be on site all day, but also to make an entire weekend out of our wedding. We loved every second of our wedding here - highly recommend!

Even in Rain- A GORGEOUS Day!
Our wedding on 10-16-21 was such an amazing time, in great thanks to the MVP- Most Valuable Planner- Kathy!! We can't imagine the process without her clear communication and guidance!
From our first tour of the venue alone, then with our parents, to our tasting and big day- everything was so positive and exciting! We didn't end up having our guests stay in cabins but had one for the wedding day for the bride to "hide" in for a bit, and they are beautiful!!
The venue itself- is exactly what we wanted for our wedding, a place with an impressive dance floor, great food and views both indoor and outdoor. We are extra grateful for choosing somewhere that has a beautiful indoor option, since it rained. The team was swift and professional in moving our ceremony and setting it up, drying it off for our guests- they even help haul a home-made arbor, that was a gift to us. THANK YOU!
Our guests raved about the cocktail hour, and dinner- especially the Chicken Kiev! The service was wonderful and Kathy was so helpful in figuring out our transportation shuttles.
We cannot thank The Lodge at Echo Lake enough for being the backdrop and setting for the start of our future together!

I loved working with Kathy at the Lodge on Echo Lake. She was so easy to work with, flexible and any time me or my husband wrote to her with questions or details about the day, she got back to us within a day at the most. She communicated with us a lot by e-mail which was so nice since we were out of town. Both times we asked to come look at the lodge and bring our families to see it when we were in town, she was very accommodating. I don't think there was any request we made for the day that she said no to.
As for the location, it is stunning - a beautiful lodge overlooking a like. There are a couple different locations to actually have your ceremony (beach, field, deck of the lodge, indoors at the lodge) and the dinner/dancefloor and bar are inside. Everybody loved that there was a deck to hang out on during the reception. The food was delicious too and there were so many options! The clincher for my husband though was that the Lodge offered a bonfire as an add-on to the package and he really wanted something that we could invite our guests to stay after for and wind down. It was the perfect day and a lot of that was due to the perfect location for the wedding.

As a bride who planned a NY wedding from Colorado as I finished my Masters degree and was packing for a move to Seattle, let me tell you, working with the Lodge was a lifesaver. Their wedding planner Kathy Votraw was more than happy to take my phone calls and happily updated our plans whenever I had a new idea or changed my mind. I got punctual emails, never later than 2 days (and faster as the big day approached), responding to any of my concerns or requests for photos/maps/whatever of the venue.
The Lodge is gorgeous - the location, the interior, all of the tiny touches that make a wedding feel simple and rustic, yet elegant and sweet. The day-of decor blew me away - do not be scared away by the appearance if you visit during their summer camp! They completely re-vamp the place (including a lot of the surrounding property) for weddings. The high-top tables and chairs, the bar area, the lights on the deck... everything was perfect and added to the fairytale foresty wedding we were looking for. The deck is an incredible bonus, more so than we anticipated. It offers a quieter place away from the music for guests who want to soak in the atmosphere. The food was fantastic - I actually got to eat dinner, yay - and they had a huge selection. Plenty for each guest (we did a buffet with three entree options). There was plenty of room for parking for the guests, as far as I could tell, and I loved how the evening flowed from ceremony to reception to post-wedding bonfire - everything was just steps away from each other. I had a great experience with the staff, as well, with everyone from the "drivers" for the hotel shuttle to the bartenders and servers being extra accommodating and considerate.
My husband and I, along with tons of our guests, stayed in the property's cabins, which were sweet and clean. Not a lot of frills, though, if you are hoping for a glamorous "get ready" location or wedding night.
I am STILL hearing from people that our wedding was incredible. :)

Planning a wedding is stressful, even if you do what we did and try to keep it simple. There's always details that pop up you would never have thought of. Kathy was AMAZING at helping us with those and more. She has suggestions and recommendations. It was so appreciated! The venue was beautiful, the food was raved about, and everyone enjoyed the bonfire with huge smiles on their faces. The entire staff was top notch.

Amazing spot for a laid back Adirondack Wedding
We had a wonderful experience at the lodge for our wedding. If you let everyone do their jobs and enjoy yourself, it goes smoothly. Great bang for your buck too! Kathy and the staff were doing some serious hustling to keep things moving and at the same time we never really noticed them. Our entire day from start to finish ran completely flawlessly! All of our guests had wonderful things to say about the venue, the staff, the food, and the wonderful views. Would do it all again in a heart beat! The NEW road house cabin was absolutely wonderful. It was a great spot for the groomsmen to get ready and hang out! Absolutely would recommend this venue to anyone looking for a "low key" Adirondack style wedding

My husband and I got married at the Lodge on Echo Lake on October 22nd. We had a GREAT experience with Kathy and the Lodge staff. Kathy the venue coordinator is extremely helpful and organized. She was willing to answer any and all of our questions and was always reachable via cell.
The Lodge provides almost anything you might need. Card box, linens and chair covers, and cake stand? Check. We hardly had to bring anything in ourselves which was a HUGE relief since we couldn't do much in the way of DIY. You also can't beat the interior decor and view from the Lodge porch / building. Set up was a breeze, and I didn't have to worry about absolutely anything on my wedding day.
The food was awesome! The cost per plate was extremely reasonable, and we were able to work out a deal with Kathy to have a carving station which people raved about. The menu selection is varied and everything sounded delicious. We were able to find something for everyone, including our vegetarian guests. The bartenders were quick and responsive, and we were able to pick two delicious kegs of our favorite beers to have on tap.
On the actual day everything went very smoothly. Kathy took great care of my husband and I, and we were happy with everything. The one downside was that it was pouring rain on our wedding day so we didn't get to have a bonfire, but Kathy let us keep the lodge for an extra hour at no cost because of this. They also provided shuttles throughout the evening so our guests could leave as they pleased.
I think the only thing that "went wrong" which really wasn't wrong was that the champagne fountain ran out of champagne. I chalk this up to our family and friends filling their toasting glasses to the brim when most people might just put a sip in their glass. Kathy was quick to put out extra bottles for people so everyone could have some, so problem solved!

My husband and I had the most wonderful experience with the Lodge on Echo Lake. I did not know a ton going into venue hunting and the Lodge and their staff were so helpful and educational. AND substantially cheaper than most surrounding venues!!! We got the most bang for our buck for sure! They do the catering themselves and the food was to die for! Seven months later and our guests are still talking about how yummy it was. Rain or shine, this venue is still stunning. Perfect Adirondack flare without being over the top and great spots for photos. I literally have nothing but praise for the Lodge and their staff. Top notch for sure!!

Dream wedding location!
My husband and I fell in love with the lodge, and booked it almost immediately after visiting. Kathy was an absolute pleasure to work with. We ended up needing to postpone from 2020 due to Covid, and Kathy made that transition seamless! If I had a question, she had an answer. She made the whole process so easy, I can’t say enough good things about her! If you’re thinking about this venue, go look at it. Pictures simply do not do it justice. The on-site cabins are adorable and the house we stayed in the night prior and got ready in was so stinkin cute! Everything about the lodge is an Adirondack dream.

I was at Tanya and Josh's wedding yesterday and it was a great time, the food was excellent and the staff was very professional, Must be getting old the music was to loud and was a little warm in there but all and all was a great time had by all. We are so happy we decided to have our wedding at the Lodge on Echo Lake! Living in Maine, I was a little concerned to plan a wedding long distance but Kathy was always helpful and quick to respond to my emails. We had our ceremony on the lower deck and were even able to include our dog in the ceremony. Our guests raved about the food and how beautiful the venue was. Kathy worked with us to customize a package that met our budget, style and dietary needs of a few guests. The staff communicated very well with our band members and photographers to ensure everything went seamlessly. We decided to have a bonfire (so much fun) and rent out one of the 4 BR houses all the cabins for our wedding party. The cabins were great for the groomsmen to get ready and my bridesmaids and I got ready at the house. The weather was absolutely beautiful in early October. My husband and I cannot stop talking about how it was the post perfect day ever.

Kathy and the team at the lodge were over the top! Kathy was so easy to communicate with! She answered any and every question I had in a quickly manner! I was very pleased with everything! Thank you for everything you and your team up at the lodge did for us! You made it enjoying and so easy to work with! I could have not picked a better venue for us to be at! Many of our guests were so impressed with the true Adirondack feel given while being at the lodge! We greatly appreciate everything you all do! Amazing experience
Our experience from the day we viewed the lodge, to the end of the wedding day was nothing but extraordinary. Kathy was on top of every detail, and made our daughters wedding a day that everyone will remember for years to come. The food was amazing, the staff catered to every detail, and the bonfire at the end was the topping to a very happy day!! Thank you to Kathy and the entire staff at The Lodge On Echo Lake.

the most perfect wedding venue ever
Kathy Votraw and the entire staff at the Lodge on Echo Lake are absolutely wonderful. Kathy was very very prompt at replying to my many, many emails, which I really appreciated; and on the wedding day, she was extremely clear about what would happen and when, and got everybody to where they needed to be so I didn’t have to worry about a thing. The venue is absolutely beautiful. We could not have chosen a more gorgeous place to get married. There are several different ceremony locations that you can choose from — we got married on the lower deck, right overlooking the lake, which was so so perfect. The main building that housed the reception was gorgeous, Kathy had everything set up perfectly, and she gave us time before the rehearsal to come in and set up all the decorations that we had brought from home. Everything looked absolutely lovely. The wait staff ran the buffet like a well-oiled machine. It was seamless and moved very quickly. The whole day did. The cabins on the property are adorable and much nicer than I expected. They all had ceiling fans and AC units in the windows and were very comfortable for my husband and I and our wedding party. Kathy gave us a list of recommended vendors, hotels, restaurants, and anything else you can imagine. It was from this list that we got our photographer, DJ, and officiant, who were also perfect. I can’t recommend Kathy and the Lodge on Echo Lake highly enough! It was a perfect day.

Best Day Ever!
We had the most beautiful and smoothly run wedding celebration at The Lodge Echo Lake. I can't say enough amazing things about the venue and the service were received was impeccable. Kathy were there for us at each step of the way- from the very beginning of the planning stage, to the day of our wedding. Kathy and her whole team helped make our night a day we will always remember. If you are looking for a cool, fun Adirondack vibe with amazing food and a spectacular team- The Lodge on Echo Lake is definitely the one. We can't wait to share our photos with you soon!

Kathy was very professional and personable. My daughter had many funny little requests, Kathy said yes to all of them. Kathy was there at all events from Friday afternoon until after Sunday breakfast. Everything was wonderful.

I got married at the Lodge this fall and couldn't be happier with having picked it as my wedding ceremony and reception venue. Kathy is outstanding. She is incredibly helpful, very quick to respond to emails, and willing to help customize the wedding the way you want it. We changed up some of the menu and drink packages including bringing our own hard cider instead of champaign for the champaign fountain (which is awesome). She was more than willing to work with us to change up the packages and prices to fit what we wanted. On the day of, she and her staff did an amazing job of setting up the decorations exactly like the pictures I provided to her. Walking into the Lodge was how I hoped it would be. They got everything right and helped make for a very smooth day. The grounds and Lodge are absolutely beautiful if you're looking for an Adirondack wedding. HIGHLY recommend!

The Lodge on Echo Lake made my wedding an absolute dream weekend. We took over the camp on Friday 9/1 and had activities going on (boating! rock wall! games!) all day long. Saturday evening 9/2 was the wedding at the lodge and it was absolutely fun and beautiful and one of the best weddings I have ever gone too (and I have heard the same from most of my guests!). Kathy is a dream to work with, so loving and supportive and GROUNDED. Made me, as the bride, feel totally at ease. I am recommending the lodge and camp to EVERYONE who is looking to have a fun, beautiful, rustic wedding :) THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Lodge's wedding coordinator, Kathy Votraw, was wonderful to work with, answered calls and all of our questions promptly. She is certainly an asset to your venue and made the day extra special. We had rain to deal with but it did not dampen the ceremony thanks to Kathy. The Lodge itself and the cabins are unique. We elected to have a bonfire and that was the perfect closing to the day! I am so glad we chose The Lodge on Echo Lake for my daughter's wedding.

Overall - we had a terrific experience for our daughter's wedding at the Lodge on Echo Lake. Their planner, Kathy was great to work with the whole time - she was able to fit in a pre-visit from the out-of-state bride and groom during their short visit to NY on a Thanksgiving weekend - they had not actually seen the venue in person before booking; but were very excited about it once they had been there. Kathy and I (MOB) worked together with the Bride and her guidance and suggestions helped us work out many of the details related to accommodating our out of town guests. On the day of the wedding, everything went off without a hitch - as least as far as I know. Kathy kept us on track and on-time for the ceremony and the wait staff kept everyone happy during the reception. We received many compliments on the food and with serving dinner family style. This was a suggestion from Kathy that we are so glad we opted for - it worked out so well. The whole evening was fun. Our guests raved about the event and the venue and I never once had to address any type of issue - we all simply enjoyed ourselves. The bon fire afterwards was a great way to wind down the evening - highly recommend it.
Our family stayed at the recently acquired house on Hudson Street that was a terrific spot for the bride and her attendants to get ready. We also held breakfast there the following morning, which went over well, was well attended and the house accommodated it very nicely.
The down-side, which was minimal, was that the house needs work and updating, and some of the cabins randomly lacked basic accommodations (chairs, fans, etc.).

Dreamy Adirondack Wedding at The Lodge
The Lodge on Echo Lake was exactly what my husband and I were looking for in our wedding venue: beautiful inside and out, had onsite lodging for us and some of our guests, helpful team, and it embraced everything we love about the Adirondack area. Our wedding went very smoothly from the planning to the execution, thanks to Kathy and the rest of the team. The venue, perfect weather, the band (Those Guys entertainment - super talented!), and the bonfire at the end of the night really made it a special and unforgettable weekend - everyone (including us!) had a blast.

This is an absolutely beautiful location! We fell in love with it online and then traveled to see it and realized that its just as beautiful in person as portrayed in the photos online. Kathy was great to work with. She was always responsive and extremely helpful. We are from out of town so she was a great help in suggesting vendors and helping with other details. We got married at the beach location and then had the reception in the Lodge. Everything was beautiful and our guests still rave about it. We loved the big bar, big dance floor, and the deck. We had a few minor mishaps like our unity sand was never taken out of the bags for the ceremony but luckily one of our guests caught that and with so many details you can't expect everything to be perfect. Also, we paid for a bonfire and it was rained out which is unfortunate but we were just thrilled the weather held off for the ceremony and reception. We had a Friday night wedding and we did kegs and carafes of wine instead of open bar. We should have done more beer apparently since we ran out of one kind relatively early. Overall, it was the perfect location for our wedding. Outdoorsy yet very classy. I would definitely recommend it to others.

Dream Venue!
This was the first venue we saw and it was exactly what we wanted. We loved the Adirondack feel and that our guests could stay on site. The Road House was especially nice-updated, can sleep 8 couples, and has a beautiful common area for several guests to hang out. The food was delicious and the portions were HUGE. We wish we were able to take leftovers home because there was so much. Kathy was easy to work with and responded to any questions and concerns in a timely manner. She remained flexible throughout the entire planning process. The venue was clean and we never had to worry during the reception because Kathy and her staff took care of everything. The only thing we wished is that the bonfire started a little later-we missed the beginning of it because it started earlier than we requested and that was one of our favorite parts of the night. If you want an Adirondack wedding that feels like you are back at summer camp with your family and friends, this is the place for you!

The Lodge on Echo Lake is a beautiful rustic retreat in the Adirondack mountains. Very scenic and pretty, the inside is exactly like the pictures on their website but a bit smaller than I originally thought it would be. There are cabins on site for guests to stay in and a free shuttle service if they want to stay nearby in town. The wedding coordinator, Kathy, is outstanding to say the least. Very professional and fast to respond and knowledgeable! She has been doing this for many years and her experience will make your planning a breeze. The food was on point. Very tasty and plenty of it (we did a buffet). The honeymoon cabin that was provided with our package was very nice. Even though the weather was rainy, we still got very nice pictures because the inside of the lodge looked so picturesque. The summer season prices are higher and dates are harder to get so I would recommend a May or Sept wedding for someone on a budget like us. Great place - highly recommended!!

The venue was absolutely gorgeous! We got married on the town beach next door. The food was amazing. We got the second highest tier package which was still very affordable, for the higher quality food. We couldn’t test any of the food from our package at the tasting so we were a little worried but the food turned out to be amazing! The venue and wait staff were amazing. The venue was amazing and I’d highly recommend it.

Unique Adirondack-style wedding
We had a beautiful beach ceremony that we were hoping for followed by a beautiful Adirondack style cocktail hour and reception and ended it all with a fun bonfire! Great options for ceremony location, photo ops, menu options, great recommendations for preferred vendors, staff was helpful and pleasant to work with! We are happy newlyweds reminiscing about our beautiful wedding day.

Perfect Adirondack Wedding Venue
We had a wonderful time celebrating our wedding at the Lodge on Echo lake. Working with Kathy was very easy. She was very responsive to our emails, had great ideas and was very supportive of ours. She even went to check out good boat launching spots so we could fulfill our wild idea to hop in our canoe prior to the ceremony.
The location itself is very beautiful. The venue itself as well as the guest cabins are well maintained and very clean. My parents (who were skeptical of the idea) were very impressed.
The ability to have our guests stay in cabins on the property were a real selling point for us. As we imagined, it was so fun to hang out with everyone on Friday night. The forecast had called for cool weather, so Kathy set up propane heaters under the pavilion and our guests were very comfortable for the welcome reception. Even after the bonfire ended on Saturday night our friends and family could still spend time together, something you just don't get at most wedding venues.
Lodging: Our parents were very comfortable in the Echo Lake house and the Hudson Street house. The Road house was also an ideal spot for the bride and bridesmaids to get ready (most of the bridal party stayed there). We stayed in the Lakeside cabin for the weekend which was very relaxing and had everything we needed. The Lakeside cabin also served as a great getting ready spot for the groomsmen. I have some very picky aunts and all of them were very impressed by the accommodations in the cabins.
Everyone raved about the food! What else is there to say about that? The chef was happy to make small adjustments to the menu. All of the staff were friendly, enthusiastic and anticipated what would be needed before we asked for it. For example, we had some left over pies from the wedding desserts, and when we showed to the send off brunch they had put them out again. Who doesn't want pie for breakfast?! Plus it used up the extra 5 pies so they didn't go to waste.
The Lodge on Echo lake is the perfect Adirondack Wedding venue: modern and comfortable for all guests, while maintaining the relaxed and rustic vibes of a weekend away with your closest friends and family.

Service was wonderful! Kathy was very helpful and accommodating to out reasonable requests! They did make a minor mistake and give us some kind of cheese phyllo rolls when we paid for the chicken, but in the bigger picture, this was minor.
She was also very quick to respond during our planning process and the trips we took up to see the site.
Professionalism was also very good - especially Kathy. She had things ready for us when we arrived and helped coordinate the ceremony! Kathy was really terrific!
We were told that if we had guests who didn't show up, their meals would be packed for us to take back (since we paid for them!). Normally, we wouldn't care, but we had a destination wedding with a bonfire after party, so the leftovers would've been put to good use! It seems we did see the packed meals ready for us to take back, but somehow they disappeared! Found that to be odd.
Value for cost was GREAT! We decided to break away from traditional wedding food and go with something for fall themed - Turkey, gravy, stuffing, and filling foods like the Tortellini Alfredo primavera and shrimp scampi over rice pilaf! THE FOOD WAS AMAZING and well worth the value for cost!
Kathy was always flexible in helping us through the process....but we were also very flexible in using their methods in most cases. If they have done something many times, they must be good at it! We didn't want to chance having them do something they have never done before and be the wedding where they try it first. =)
The views from the lodge, the deck and the inside of the lodge were beautiful!! It was a fine balance of Modern updated and rustic!
Overall, we would recommend the Lodge on Echo Lake for your event!

The Lodge was an amazing place to hold our ceremony. The Lodge itself and the grounds are an absolutely beautiful, picture-perfect Adirondack setting. Kathy was extremely responsive to all of my emails throughout the entire process.
The only thing I would not recommend is staying on the grounds at the cabins - some of these cabins are below "rustic" and although have heat, it is only space heaters. Also, most of them do not lock. It was convenient staying on site, but the accommodations of some of the cabins did not meet my expectations. When I first visited the Lodge to do a tasting, etc., the cabins were all locked up and you could not view the inside. The pictures given to me did not exactly mirror what some of them look like inside. The only ones I would recommend staying in are the ones listed as 'Modern', as those were updated and nice.
With that aside, my guests are still raving about what a wonderful wedding it was. Staying on site would be the only thing I would change.

We appreciate your comments about our accommodations - unfortunately, the weather in the Adirondacks is a bit unpredictable once we get into the Fall season and we do always make sure our bridal couples and their guests are aware that our cabins do not have heat (which is why we provide extra blankets and space heaters). Sometimes the evenings are much cooler than one might anticipate and therefore we are always available to provide extra blankets and sometimes an extra space heater if it is needed. Additionally, we are currently undergoing some renovations that will allow all of our cabins to lock properly as well, as upgrading the interiors for those cabins that are a bit more "rustic" than "modern." We hope you continue to recommend The Lodge on Echo Lake to any of your friends and/or family who become engaged this wedding season and in the future!

Absolutely perfect venue
This venue is absolutely gorgeous and the property is huge so there are so many options to easily personalize your wedding/event. The layout of the entire place is so convenient which makes the whole day flow so nicely. There is no site fee so it was nice to not feel like we had to give every last dime to the venue and the entire day far surpassed my expectations.
Ashley was incredibly helpful calming my nerves on the big day, was SO friendly, and even ran to the store to get the best man black socks that he forgot. She also gave my mom hair product to use that she forgot, and helped us out our decorations on the arch. Throughout the reception she periodically checked in on us to make sure everything was going well and got us anything we needed.
The food was delicious and the portions were huge, so were able to take some home! Honestly better food than I’ve had in a lot of restaurants. And the views on this property are absolutely beautiful. I really can’t say enough about this place and how accommodating they were

Great wedding, but..
My big day was a huge success, but there are some things that need to be addressed.
The pros: First, I will say that Kathy is a great coordinator. She worked with me every step of the way to ensure that I had an amazing wedding. Second, the venue itself is absolutely gorgeous and well equipped to handle all of your needs, including spacious decks, ceremony locations and dining.
The cons: Unfortunately, the staff needs some work. Their overall attitude was mediocre at best, and their ability to follow simple requests and directions was awful. Also, while I had the Lodge booked from 3pm Friday through 10am Sunday, we had to stop our set up in order to accommodate somebody else’s wedding rehearsal which was unprofessional and rude. Additionally, the new cabin that housed the parents of the wedding complained that maintenance men woke them up the morning of my wedding to do work on the cabin (which honestly should not have happened).
Overall, I would recommend this venue as a perfect place for your dream wedding. Just be assertive and clear with your directions regarding the staff!

Overall our wedding was amazing and Lodge at Echo Lake was a beautiful location both inside and out. Wedding coordinator was helpful but not super friendly, at some point she sent us a bill that charged us for a bunch of stuff we were promised to be complementary, she did fix the bill when we pointed out the mistakes. The staff were also a bit rude, and no one offered us a platter of appetizers while we were taking pictures after the ceremony. Some of the cabins that our guests stayed in did not have any heat or hot water and a few did not even lock or had a key. I do wish the accommodations were better or for my guests to be reimbursed for their stay due to the issues with the cabins. The bonfire after the wedding was a great idea, but once again when the time was up, the staff did not give us a minute to let the guests know that the party is over and say a few last words, nor did they go about it in a polite manner, they just yelled at the guests and put out the fire. At the end of the day, everyone still had an amazing time, and we received multiple complements about the party being the best ever. If I would have to do it all over again, I would not think twice of doing it at Echo lodge.

The day was beautiful, everything went mostly smoothly.
The contact person was not available for the rehearsal, could not help with layout of cake table, coffee table, etc., and was not present to take payment for guests of my wedding party so she tracked them down during the reception dinner for payment (not very tactful!) We also had requested that drinks and appetizers be made available to the wedding party during pictures after the ceremony, they were not and it was a hot day. Other than that, everything was great! Great venue for our guests to feel welcome and have a great time!

The Lodge on Echo Lake is a beautiful venue to hold your wedding, both ceremony and reception! My husband and I instantly fell in love with the look and feel of the reception hall. My only honest complaint, was that we chose to utilize the cabins for both our wedding party and guests the evening of the wedding- we were shown the cabin that we would be staying in, and it was beautiful! Not what I expected for a cabin. However, the cabins that my guests stayed in were not as described. Some had no door or if there was a door there was no lock, also some were described as having "heat" that meant a small electric space heater.. I just wish that they had been a little more open with the quality of the cabins, that way I could have prepared my guests. . However, the rest of my experience was very pleasant and my guests had a great time! They loved the food, the view- and the entire day!

We truly appreciate your comments about our accommodations - unfortunately, the weather in the Adirondacks is a bit unpredictable once we get into the Fall season and we do always try to make sure our bridal couples and their guests are aware that our cabins do not have heat (which is why we provide extra blankets and space heaters). Sometimes the evenings are much cooler than one might anticipate and therefore we are always available to provide extra blankets and sometimes an extra space heater if it is needed. Additionally, we are currently undergoing some renovations that will allow all of our cabins to lock properly as well, as upgrading the interiors for those cabins that are a bit more "rustic" than "modern." We hope you continue to recommend The Lodge on Echo Lake to any of your friends and/or family who become engaged this wedding season and in the future! A Beautiful Day
We had a wonderful wedding on September 27th and had been planning that day for a year and a half. The weather was beatiful, the food was very good, and the head of the waitstaff the night of the wedding was absolutely wonderful. The venue itself is a beautiful spot with many options to choose from. The only thing that we would say was a little tough, was planning the event details from start to finish. I am a very organized person and know what I like, but this is the only wedding I have planned so it would have been nice to have someone give me all the information first, instead of me asking for things periodically throughout the process. Make sure you book any cabins you want as soon as possible because they are a first come first serve basis and just ask all the questions you can because you won't be given them without asking. We had an amazing wedding at the Lodge and would not have changed a thing on our day.

Planning the wedding was a breeze with Kathy. And overall a good experience until the day of the wedding. Staff was rude and also ate our desserts before and after our wedding. When confronted about it, management did not acknowledge any wrongdoing.

This place is beautiful, we couldn't have ask for a more lovely spot to get married. The food was good and the servers/bartender were very professional. I would recommend not booking your wedding as the last event of the season though. My husband and I were less than impressed with the event coordinator throughout our wedding process. When we emailed the Lodge we were told we would have access to the onsite cabins and camp grounds for our guests, once we booked our wedding we were told the facilities were no longer available. We were given accomodations for the wedding night on the premises, but ended up staying somewhere else due to the lack of heat in the cabin supplied to us. We were told the accomodations we were given were not the usual accomodations given to the bride and groom. We also felt bullied at times to move our ceremony site to a more "convenient" location when we had been offered and chosen our ceremony site months prior. Overall though, I would chose The Lodge on Echo Lake again. It was beautiful.

Overall I thought the echo lodge was a beautiful place for our wedding. The reception area and ceremony space on the lower deck was amazing. My only complaint is the accommodations need to be updated. Many of my guests that stayed in the cabins were my bridal party that came from far away. The cabins were cold and did not provide the accommodations I would expect for a wedding venue. One of my guests even refused to stay as their cabin had bugs running around.
My parents stayed in the Hudson house and had several problems with the oil Heater and had mouse dropping on the counters over night.
As the bride my wedding morning was interrupted with workers trying to fix the oil tank.
Although the reception ceremony and food was delicious, I would advice people to stay overnight elsewhere. The accommodations were very over priced for what was offered.

Beautiful place, but need to stay on top of the coordinator
The Lodge on Echo Lake was a beautiful place to have our big day. The ability to have our dog be able to stay on-site and be apart of our big day was a huge reason to why we chose to have our wedding there. In addition, almost all of our guests being able stay on site was really awesome too. However, we had a lot of unnecessary bumps that should’ve never happened.
If you choose to go with this place, you need to stay on top of the coordinator. She had a tendency to create a new email thread every time she emailed us, and by doing so, many things had to get sent multiple times. My meal was not what I ordered or said we wanted (other guests noticed and were disappointed as well). The food we were given wasn’t even an option when we received the original meal choices. Which is unfortunate, but the biggest stressor was she kept adding almonds to our green bean side after I told her multiple times we cannot have that due to severe allergies. So by doing that, I overlooked my own food choice and didn’t check that the tortellini option had changed. Also, we added on the bonfire with s’mores and mini pizzas for the after party. Luckily the mini pizzas were there, but the S’mores were not. Another big issue for us was the explanation of the top open bar package. It was not told to us until the day of the wedding that bottles were not included. Luckily we were able to straighten it out for our guests but that shouldn’t have been an issue on the day of.
The current coordinator pretty much blamed everything that we were misled by on the previous coordinator. Which if she was bad at explaining things, that’s clearly why she wasn’t there anymore. However, if I was a coordinator and I knew that this was an ongoing issue, I would’ve gone out of my way to re-explain each package and everything to every couple she had started working with. Not just simply say “she told you wrong.”
The items stated above are just a few of our issues and guests from our wedding told us issues they experienced as well. It’s been very difficult to write this and has taken us a long time to get to the point to be able to write it because it truly was a special day. Unfortunately our experience has left us with mixed emotions, but we went with the brutally honest approach because we want other couples to know what to expect.

The venue was beautiful as were the table linens and décor. However the food was not of good quality and I was very disappointed with that. Also the honeymoon cottage did not have running water and the couple were to stay on the main house instead. When they arrived, there as no water there either and they had to leave the area and go find a hotel room in which to stay at 11:30 p.m. at night. These items were very disappointing.

The wedding we attended we attened was beautiful, the staff AT THE WEDDING did an amazing job and the food was awesome....
That being said if you are having a wedding here DO NOT STAY ON SIGHT.... half the facilities they advertise for your guys to stay do not have heat... this would be fine for summer months but when your staying at the end of september and its 30 degrees at night i promise you, you are not going to be happy... the place we stayed they didnt even tell us it had no heat and no front door to lock (literally swining salon doors with mesh screening) WE FREEZED and when we asked them what they were going to do about it they gave us extra blankets and told us that we could us space heaters because the place ran on one breaker and couldnt support it.
THIS PART OF OUR TRIP WAS A NIGHTMARE... take of your guest and dont let them freeze to death.

The owners don't care about weddings. Our date was forced to be changed. Then the wedding maitre'd Kathy was very impersonal with communications. She wasn't sensitive toward the fact that we were already stressed as he'll planning our own wedding. The wedding after ours wanted our cabins and took a lot of attention from ours. Essentially, Kathy was making more money off of them so we weren't a priority.
We were also lied to about a lot of information. Kathy says she "misspoke", but when we planned our wedding based on this information then learn during the LAST WEEK that the information was incorrect...that's just unacceptable.
Our ceremony site was covered in garbage up until the morning of when my father in law took care of it. We also found out that the archway flowers my wife chose specifically in memory of her great grandmother was the hen used for another wedding!!! We spent a lot of money for those flowers and here they are handing them over to another couple.
