    Wonderful Experience

    Joelle was a very responsive and detail oriented coordinator. The staff at this venue have been there for many years and know how to throw an event! The space is gorgeous and allows for lighter decor. There are so many picturesque spots on the grounds for photos. The food was amazing and all of the guests raved about the passed hour devours and plated dinner. The in-house DJ kept the day running smoothly and there was no awkward downtime. Our wedding day went perfectly at The Lodge and we can’t recommend this venue enough!

    Amazing Venue and Team

    We absolutely LOVED the Lodge. The Venue is beautiful and unique and the staff is professional and experienced. Joelle (coordinator) and her team were amazing, they were on top of every single detail and helped make the day perfect. So many of our guests commented on the venue, how good the food was, etc., and that is not all that common in the wedding business. Would 100% recommend to any and everyone

    Fantastic and easy to work with!

    We were planning our wedding from Houston and the team and the Lodge made the process seamless. Our coordinator Joelle was on top of every detail and easy to work with. The food was SO good and our guests said it all came out hot. This is the optimal wedding venue. If we could do it all over again, we would choose the lodge again!

    My dream wedding

    The lodge and Joelle are amazing. They truly make everything so easy for you. Joelle is super organized and responsive. She gave me exactly what I was looking for! 100% recommend to anyone!

    So glad we chose the Lodge!

    Having our wedding at the Lodge was the one of the greatest decisions we made throughout the entire wedding planning process. My now-husband and I met working at Welch Allyn, and I grew up with a camp in Skaneateles that we moved out to every summer - so I knew I really wanted to get married in Skaneateles. After looking at a few venues there, the Lodge immediately stood out to us as the best place to do it. The ceremony was at St. Mary's church in town and the reception was at the Lodge.

    We met with Joelle our first time there, and from the very beginning she was incredibly down to earth, honest, knowledgable and flexible. I can't say it enough -- Joelle made our entire wedding planning process and day seamless. We had several meetings with her in the months leading up to the wedding, and I looked forward to going each time just to see and chat with Joelle. Whatever unease I was feeling in the planning process, Joelle talked it through with us and made us feel confident. She let me discuss my ideas with her, and either made them happen or made suggestions on how to do things better -- which I took because she is truly an expert.

    On our wedding day, my husband and I couldn't wait to get to the Lodge after our ceremony. We got off our limo excitedly saying "where's Joelle!!" because we were really looking forward to seeing her after all of our planning and conversations. I had a specific vision for how the Lodge would look on our wedding day, and Joelle had arranged everything even better than I had imagined. It was absolutely beautiful. Because our wedding was in December but it was a rainy day instead of snow, my dress got dirty on the bottom. It was a very plain dress so it was easy to see. Joelle pulled me into the side room and scrubbed my dress until it was absolutely clean -- something I'm sure isn't in her job description. It was just another way Joelle went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Our guests couldn't comment enough on the signature cocktails, the hors d'oeuvres and the dinner. Everything was outstanding. The staff was so accommodating, and I don't think myself, my husband or any of our parents ever went looking for anything we needed -- they always brought us drinks and food, making sure we could focus on each other and our guests. I've never felt so special. We both brought our parents to the "tasting" the Lodge does - where they throw a "mock" wedding so you can see how everything works and taste the food. They had fireworks at the end, which was an option, and my Dad worked with Joelle to have that as a surprise at our wedding. Joelle kept the secret - and we were so surprised when they started. It was all so special.

    When I had to say goodbye to Joelle later in the night, I was sad -- which may sound dramatic, but it's true. Planning our wedding with Joelle's help and expertise was an absolute joy. I would recommend her and the entire staff at the Lodge if you'd like to have the most amazing and seamless planning experience and wedding. Thank you Joelle and the Lodge staff for everything!

    Easy Book!

    The lodge is a breathtaking venue. From the moment we walked through the doors we could tell it would be the place for us. Packages are affordable and customizable which will really allow us to plan the wedding of our dreams.

    The Lodge was perfect!

    Everything about the Lodge was absolutely breathtaking! We worked Joelle and she was so helpful and so kind. The food was incredible and all of our guests left in awe of the place and the service.

    Say YES to The Lodge.. :)

    I can't recommend the Lodge enough! If you are looking for a beautiful place to be married with excellent food and staff this is the place to go. Joelle went above and beyond for us and is such a genuine sweet person who makes you feel at ease during the entire process. She is extremely responsive and had everything spot on. Together we planned the wedding of my dreams in just 8 months and I couldn't be happier and more blessed to have her. My guests raved about the beautiful venue, the food, DJ and how nice the staff was and overall the fun atmosphere. In addition to Joelle, Megan was amazing as well as all the catering staff the night of. Very polite and professional group of people who make people feel welcome! They contract through Visa Versa entertainment for DJ service- CJ did an amazing job and the whole process was just seamless and stress free. So I recommend them a thousand times! My wedding day was perfect!

    We had an amazing experience working with the Lodge both during the planning process and the wedding day itself. Joelle, the coordinator for the Lodge, was in constant communication throughout planning, quickly responding to any inquiries. The food was absolutely delicious and we still have guests raving about it. The service staff was also top of the line. We had zero worries the day of the wedding because they ran it all so smoothly.

    This was a dream wedding venue for my daughter's winter wedding. We also enlisted Cottonwood Studios for pictures-what an amazing job! Joelle Eddy of The Lodge could not be more helpful-the entire staff worked very hard to ensure my daughter's dream came true and the price was very reasonable and within our budget. Thank you!!!! I would recommend this venue and Cottonwood Studios to any bride!

    We couldn't be happier with the ease of working with Joelle and everyone at the Lodge. The entire staff is so friendly and helpful, making the most stressful parts of planning feel like a breeze. The food was incredible and completely above our expectations. My only regret is not making it to cocktail hour in time to have more snacks! The staff was even so kind as to save us some of the passed hors d'oeuvres to try once our pictures were finished. The setting, quality, and organization is so worth it!

    We had the most amazing wedding at The Lodge. Joelle and Megan were wonderful to work with. Joelle was our wedding coordinator and she was just so knowledgeable and relaxing. It made the planning process so much easier. We also went with most of their recommended vendors, which made things run like a well oiled machine because everyone has worked together before. We did stations and the food was AMAZING, we received so many compliments from our guests. I loved how they have the tastings twice a year and it is set up just like a wedding. We actually changed what we were going to do for our centerpieces based on what we saw at this event. We did get the "basic" package for the fireworks and they were way better than I thought they were going to be. These were a surprise for our guests and everyone loved them. We also had our ceremony in front of the big window. Everything was perfect!

    I couldn't imagine having our wedding at any other venue. From the second we walked in the front door we knew that was where we were going to get married. The building is so pretty, the food is absolutely delicious, and the staff is amazing. Joelle helped us plan our wedding and she was extremely responsive and accommodating. We met with her several times to go over everything from start to finish and the day of our wedding went so smoothly because of her. They also had one of the waitresses, Emily, take care of everything for us and our families which was unexpected and awesome because it gave us more time to relax and talk to people. She brought us plates of food from the buffet and none of us had to go to the bar for drinks because she had fresh drinks ready for us when ours got low, even when she had to search for us on the dance floor. Another cool thing about the Lodge is that Visa Versa Entertainment has all of their lights already hooked up in the rafters of the building, so lighting is way cheaper through them than it would be elsewhere where the lights need to be hung up. The Lodge made our wedding day so incredibly fabulous and I definitely recommend them!!

    We could not be happier that we chose The Lodge for our ceremony and reception! Meghan was amazing to work with from day one. If there was something we didn't think of, she thought of it. Nothing was overlooked. The venue was gorgeous, the food was delicious, and the service was top notch! We even had our own server (Emily, who was amazing!) assigned to my husband and me to make sure we never went without food or drink while we were busy running around with photos and the other things that keep pulling a bride and groom away.     Honestly, I know everyone says it, but The Lodge is absolutely amazing. Not only do they have the most beautiful venue, but the most amazing staff. I worked with Joelle and she took my vision and turned it into a reality. They are so accommodating and if you can imagine it they will figure out a way to make it happen. I could not have imagine a more perfect evening. Everything was perfectly in place and the staff was so professional and on top of everything. Emily was assigned to me that evening and made sure that I, the wedding party, including my dad was fully taken care of. She brought us drinks, food, and checked in regularly to see if I needed anything at all. They managed the evening perfectly and it felt so natural going from cocktail hour, to introductions, dinner, cake cutting and everything in between. After the wedding was over my dad wanted to wait to collect everything that night. They efficiently and quickly, might I add, washed silverware, cups, and packed everything up so neatly so he could take it that night. I cannot express how thankful I am that Joelle and her team were in charge of our special day. I would trust them with any event, they have it down.

    I cannot say enough AMAZING things about the Lodge, their staff, and our amazing coordinator Meghan! Our wedding was the best night of our lives, mostly in part to the wonderful time our family and friends had during our reception. From the moment we booked the venue, Meghan was there every step of the way to help with planning. She made planning a wedding out of state a breeze, and is extremely prompt in responding to e-mails/calls. I never stressed about planning my reception all thanks to Meghan. The venue is gorgeous and is open to just your wedding the entire night. Our family and friends can't stop raving about the food and drinks! The staff is extremely professional and check in with you as needed throughout the night. They even go as far to bring you food and drinks to ensure you are enjoying your night! We hope to be guests someday at another Lodge wedding. Thank you again to Meg and the Lodge staff for executing the most perfect wedding we ever could have dreamed of!

    This was the perfect venue for our fall wedding! Rustic and elegant, with the lights it looked like a fairy-tale come true. Joelle was amazing, and responsive throughout the entire planning process. On the day of the wedding, she was there every step of the way to make sure it all went smoothly. I would highly recommend this venue for any wedding, with the outdoor patio, indoor fireplace, and overall look and feel. We were able to take photos outside and inside, and when the lights came on at night, it was simply magical. We couldn't have asked for more!!

    Great to work with and incredibly accommodating pre, during and post wedding. The food is amazing, as a bride, I did not have to worry about anything while at the reception. They keep you on time, taken care of and incredibly happy.

    The Lodge and Meghan in particular was amazing to deal with for our event. We had a rather large wedding with lots of custom never done before design and food requests. The Lodge was flexible with all of them and met with us and our vendors several times to figure out all of our logistics. The property is truly beautiful and our guests were blown away. We would highly recommend considering the Lodge for any wedding or event.

    Meghan and her staff were perfect! From the first day of visiting the venue to the big day to returning back after the wedding to collect our decor, the entire staff was professional, extremely friendly, and very respectful. Everyone of our guests had a wonderful time. My husband and I hope some day we will go to another wedding at this venue as guests. It was absolutely divine. Food was amazing, very tasty, variety of food, our guests could not stop talking about how delicious everything was! The best part was the late night snack option! Perfect ending to our perfect day! The lodge is worth every penny!!!

    Meghan Coe and the rest of the staff were amazing. They were very professional and accommodating in most of our requests. Our day was perfect and all of guests had a wonderful time. I hope someday I can be a guest at someone's wedding at the Lodge. The food was excellent, best wedding food we have had in a long time. The atmosphere and property had a cozy rustic elegant feel. Our friends and family are still talking about how much they enjoyed themselves.

    The lodge at Welch Allyn was amazing for my wedding! They did all of the set up and clean up. Worked out a VERY customized package and included EVERYTHING I visioned, and I spend too much time on pinterest! There is nothing more they could have done to make my wedding Perfect.

    After meeting with Meg I was confident that we had chosen the perfect venue....and were we right! Meg and her staff didn't miss a beat. Everything that we were promised was done! The entire staff was professional, the chef was amazing, the bar service was great...our guest are still telling us how wonderful everything was. Meg and her staff made planning our wedding a lot of fun!!!

    The Lodge was absolutely stunning! It was a beautiful place for our wedding. One thing was we weren't allowed to take any extra food home with us. I was disappointed since there was quite a bit left and it stayed at the Lodge. Meghan the coordinator was great however. She set up all our centerpieces and they were quite intricate and it was perfect. Fireworks were well worth it. They lasted probably 15-20 minutes and were beautiful.

    The most amazing place to have a wedding. Everything from the food to the linens were perfect. Meghan is amazing at what she does and will help you have a stress free wedding day. Highly recommend The Lodge!

    Perfect in every way! We had our reception at The Lodge on July 11, 2014. Meghan, Bill, and everyone else at The Lodge helped to make our day truly incredible. Helpful, talented, and full of ideas! We never had to worry about anything knowing that every detail would be handled by Meghan. We told her our visions and wants, dropped of what we had for decor, and the rest is history! Our guests raved about the staff, the food, and the beauty of the venue! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We recommend this venue a thousand times over! <3

    I cannot say enough about the Lodge!

    Beginning with my first phone call to book a reception date I was treated with respect and professionalism and this continued throughout the whole 16 month wedding planning process!

    Meg, the wedding coordinator, is amazing. I never felt like I was just one of the many brides who get married there. She always remembered what I was talking about any time that I emailed or called her (which was alot!).

    Everything at the Lodge is done with incredible professionalism and customer service. The day of the wedding alone we were greeted with apps and drinks in the bridal suite, amenity baskets in the bathrooms for our guests, and a bottle of champagne at our sweetheart table.

    They are also extremely flexible - no passed apps with your dinner? Done and bill reduced! Want a customized menu item? Done! Cigars out back? Done! Want to use their card box and lanterns for decorations? Done!

    The value is also amazing. They are pricey, but not nearly as much as some other places in the Finger Lakes wine area. They also don't nickel and dime you for cake cutting or champagne toasts - it's just all included!

    Extras we paid for included lights around the railings, hotel welcome bags (that they deliver for you - so awesome!), hot cider, and a bit extra for colored linens instead of the standard white/ivory.

    The food was absolutely incredible. The best wedding food or banquet food in general I've ever had. We did stations, which our guests loved and which were set up in such a way that there were no lines and the flow was quick.

    We were able to bring our own desserts, which they laid out beautifully for us. I had a signature drink that required apples, and they ordered apples.

    And this is all not mentioning how freaking gorgeous the place is!

    To end, here's a comment I heard repeated over and over at the wedding: "Now I know why you booked this place so far in advance!"

    This was the BEST venue in NYS!! Everything there was amazing and beautiful. I love the tall A-frame contemporary building, wood structure, and man-made pond. The staff was extremely friendly and very professional. They all did an amazing and fantastic job. They even shipped in a special liquor that I requested for my signature drink. Highly recommend The Lodge!!!

    The Lodge was awesome. A beautiful spot for a reception! Loved the deck and the uplighting we did. Meghan was great to work with she was very responsive and not pushy! Loved it all!!

    The Lodge is a beautiful and unique venue - as soon as we walked in, we knew this was the place. In addition to the beauty of the Lodge itself, the team that runs the events at the Lodge are wonderful. Meg made sure that everything was set up exactly as we discussed, she provided us with ideas throughout the planning process, was flexible and open to any of our suggestions, and was always quick to respond to any questions or concerns we had via e-mail. In addition to the service, the food at the Lodge is Amazing.
    I would highly recommend this venue to any soon-to-be brides or grooms looking to get married in Central NY - the professionalism of the staff and beauty of the Lodge can't be beat!

    We held our wedding reception at the Lodge in February of this year and it was simpy amazing. The venue is absolutely gorgeous and its the perfect location for a winter wedding. Meg and her staff were great to work with, and I truly could not have planned such a special day without her help. We got tons of compliments on the food as well. I highly recommend the Lodge to anyone looking for a unique location with a profressional staff!

    The Lodge was PERFECT! Everyone bent over backwards to accommodate our every whim! The room was gorgeous! The food was delicious! The staff was friendly and efficient and professional and fun! We didn't want the night to end!!

    We had our wedding at The Lodge on 7/16/11. There are not enough good things to say about Paula and her crew. I planned long distance and every email I ever sent was met with a quick and thoughtful response. Even a minor hair salon crisis months before the wedding was fixed by Paula! The place is beautiful, the food is fantastic, everything goes smoothly so you can enjoy your wedding -- book it!

    The Lodge at Welch Allyn was the perfect venue for my husband and I. The venue and its surrounding scenery are beautiful, and there is a lot of open space for a great party.

    The wedding coordinator, Paula, is beyond amazing. She takes care of everything for you. Everyone kept asking me why I was so calm - it was because I knew our reception was in great hands. I enjoyed the entire night without worrying about a single detail.

    The food is wonderful. So many guests told us it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding.

    I highly recommend booking the Lodge for your wedding. Thank you Paula!!!

    The Lodge at Welch Allyn is an exceptional venue! I could not have asked for more. Paula was an absolute pleasure to work with and was happy to help answer all my questions from napkin colors (she even sent me samples) to what was in the bathroom baskets, to how I could go about serving ice cream cake. The entire staff was professional and attentive. A year later our guests still talk about the amazing time they had - especially the amazing food and FIREWORKS we had!!

    The staff went above and beyond any expectations I had during the entire planning experience and especially on the wedding day. The event coordinator, Paula, is truly wonderful and a pleasure to work with. She helps with anything you can imagine during your planning. I would recommend this venue a thousand times over.

    I am STILL being told, 6 months after our wedding, that it was the best wedding food they'd ever had.

    The quality of service was excellent! We have received such positive feedback on our food and venue! Paula Knight was our onsite event coordinator. She did an excellent job, and although we booked our venue a year and a half before the wedding date Paula always answered my questions immediately and treated me as if I was the only bride getting married there that year. I loved every bit of our venue! And I am so happy that we chose The Lodge.

    The staff was extremely professional, and everything was just as I had imagined it would be. Paula was very helpful when I needed recommendations for vendors! And she was always accommodating when I needed to come to the location for a visit and even when we needed to do our food taste testing on a day when they typically wouldn't have scheduled it.

    The one and only thing I can say that I was not thrilled about was the giant crane parked outside at Welch Allyn due to construction going on until 2010. It wasn't brought to my attention so it was a little bit of a shock to me when I showed up for my wedding weekend and it was there. Thankfully it was not an issue for photos!

    It is impossible to speak highly enough about the Lodge and its superb level of service. Led by Paula Knight, who serves as the point of contact and also wedding coordiantor for the reception, the team is immensely capable of providing a meticulously planned, smoothly run event. Our reception was perfect.

    We met with Paula about a year and a half prior to our desired wedding date. We booked the space shortly thereafter and despite being pretty early on in the process, our questions and concerns were always addressed immediately. The Lodge was extremely flexible with the things we wanted, many of which were different than had been done for all previous weddings. For example, we wanted our guests seated at long rectangular tables instead of rounds. Done! We wanted our food served family style. Done! We wanted the DJ and dancing area in a different location than is usual for wedding receptions. Done! Each of our wants was met with "of course we can do that."

    The service was perfect from start to finish, and the space itself is stunning. A huge wall of windows overlooking a pond...wood finishings and a large fireplace in the cocktail area provided a rustic feel yet everything was polished and beautiful. The reception started in the fading daylight and at nighttime, with candles everywhere, the Lodge is breathtaking. The perfect balance for our October wedding.

    If you want unparalleled service and an absolutely beautiful setting for your wedding avoiding the "hotel ballroom feel", this is the perfect place for you.

    My husband and I were looking for that unique, rustic yet elegant venue for our wedding that also had wonderful service and most importantly excellent food. We could not have been more pleased with how our day turned out. It was smooth sailing and truly enjoyable. The team at The Lodge is one to be valued and treasured. They are fantastic!

    The Welch Allyn Lodge is such a is such a beautiful space. My favorite part is that you don't have to do much to decorate for your special day. The food and staff are amazing and make go above and beyond to make your special day amazing!

    Dreams Come True

    Joelle, Meg, and the rest of the team at the Lodge made our November wedding an amazing, beautiful experience that we will be able to reflect upon for the rest of our lives. The planning experience went without a hitch, both Joelle and Meg were very responsive and helpful any time myself, my fiancé, or either of our moms had any questions. The venue itself is gorgeous even without any decorations, and the lighting and sound system they have installed really elevates everything. The food and drinks were also amazing, and helped all our guests have a great time. Thank you, Lodge staff!

    Loved the Lodge!

    This was the perfect venue for us! A beautiful indoor space, with a big bar, and gorgeous outdoor space. The windows were a great backdrop for the ceremony, and everything went seamlessly. Our coordinator was so helpful in every way leading up to, and on day of. Definitely recommend, couldn't have picked a better place to start our life together.

    Meghan at The Lodge was fabulous throughout the entire planning process and our wedding day. We had both the ceremony and reception at The Lodge and it was turned out perfectly. All of our guests raved about how phenomenal the food and fireworks show were! They truly took care of everything, even packed up our decorations at the end of the night and had them ready for us to pick up in the morning. You pay for the service that you get, and The Lodge was above and beyond. We would highly recommend them!

    The Lodge was such a gorgeous wedding venue. It far surpassed any other venue we looked at. Meghan, the wedding coordinator, is very professional and helped ensure that everything went smoothly. The food was delicious and our guests were impressed. I would definitely recommend it to others looking for a reception venue.

    The Lodge takes care of everything for you. I had a very hectic schedule and very little time to make arrangements and everything came together flawlessly from arrangements, to set-up, take-down and the decor was beautiful. Everything about the venue was stunning and the coordinator's attention to detail was evident!

    Pros: pretty venue and good food cons: everything else! Do not book here

    Do not recommend. We spent about $30,000 and it wasn't worth it at all.
    Pros: The venue is gorgeous and the food is amazing
    Cons: Everything else.

    The price is insane for what you get and they nickle and dime you for everything. They wanted $100 for the use of an old beaten up door for a seating chart (really? no thanks). They tell you you are paying for one thing and that's not what you get then they blame you for "misunderstanding". $3,000 for exclusive use of the facility for your ceremony should be exclusive use all day since its 3k! Nope. Only from when your guest start arriving. That means while you're getting ready there will be meetings, tours, etc. going on while you're trying to do your thing. When you set up to have a cash bar during dinner (as in no free alcohol over dinner) that should mean that people have to pay for their alcohol. BE WARNED to them a cash bar is everything! They wanted guest to pay for soda, coffee, tea, etc! After the kind of money you spend here that should be included and made very clear because everyone I ask agrees that cash bar=pay for alcohol that's it.

    Children set up and decorated my dinner tables? I wasn't aware I was paying for child labor.

    Joelle Eddy ended up being a nightmare to work with. Not sure how she has so many good reviews. Megan and Bristol were amazing and I wish I could have worked with just them for the whole time. Joelle was rude and always acted like I was an inconvenience over everything. She literally fought with me during my reception at my head table over the cash bar incident. My mother informed me the bar was making people pay for the soda, coffee, tea, during dinner and I requested to speak with Joelle who immediately got angry and started being very rude to me, the bride, at my reception, telling me I misunderstood what a cash bar was and a bunch of other issues. Eventually the problem was resolved but not before a scene was made in front of all of my guests. Even if she disagreed with me she should have just taken care of it and we could have dealt with it later instead of arguing with the bride in front of all her guest.

    She also interrupted our pictures rudely and angrily because we ran over cocktail hour a bit. Again, not your wedding. Go with the flow and make it work do not be rude to the bride on her wedding day. It literally made me cry because I was overwhelmed and upset by her actions.

    When bringing my decor over she kept commenting on how much stuff we had and that is was ridiculous, which was ridiculously rude and it wasn't a lot at all. After the fact when picking my stuff up they had just thrown it all together without a care, and my parents had to actually do a lot of it. Joelle was rude to them and then disappeared.

    The venue and grounds are pretty the food was amazing but do not waste your money and risk ruining your special day too. There are other gorgeous places with better and nicer people that will actual care about making your day perfect! If you already booked it or are insistent on it DO NOT WORK WITH JOELLE she should not be allowed to work weddings. Request Meghan or Bristol.

    Very dissatisfied with the level of customer service and professionalism. We attended the tasting and the catering manager spoke down to us. Rolled his eyes and said "you are the Bride". We asked for a second small bar to be set up near the dance floor and we got "absolutely not. I do 60 weddings a year and I have been doing this for 10 years, I know what works". On top of that, the space was designed for conferences, every detail to make it glamorous for your wedding is an upcharge. If you like simple and to be treated with respect, this place is NOT for you.
