My husband and I just had our wedding at the Langham Chicago on April 6th. It is a total understatement to say that the Langham did their job. Their hospitality is unmatched. Everything about the Langham is efficient, convenient, but also so elegant. Meeting Shaun and working with Shaun was literally like hitting the biggest jackpot/lottery of a lifetime. I met Shaun when my now husband and I went to go tour the Langham hotel as a potential venue. We knew we had to book the Langham not only because it was a beautiful venue but because we know a valuable person when we see one, and that valuable person was Shaun Rajah. The other staff members we got to work with at the Langham were Jordan Silverman and Sonam Khatau. They were the best team any bride to be could've asked for. For the amount you invest into the Langham you come out with so much more: gifts, hospitality, a perfect and smooth wedding/event, a nice bridal suite, and so much more. The Langham has an exclusive relationship with many vendors and they know what they're doing, which put my anxieties to rest. And I cannot skip out on the food. The food and dinner that was served during our wedding was hands down the best. That is because the food was made from the restaurant in the Langham. I can confidently say that my statement isn't just a biased opinion but all our guests had to agree that they've never experienced better wedding food than the food they had at the Langham.
I wanted to also go back to talking about a huge contributing factor as to why my wedding at the Langham was perfect. That big factor is Shaun, the event coordinator and event manager at the Langham.
It was Shaun who helped me make a lot of wedding decisions, and Shaun was the very reason why my wedding went smoothly and flawlessly as it did. He is detailed oriented, well experienced, and his hospitality is unmatched. With his long long years of experience in the wedding planning industry, he has unlimited resources to almost every vendor in Chicago. Shaun is the Langham's most valuable asset. He held my hand through this crazy wedding planning process. He watched me and comforted me even when I was emotionally in shambles and went all bridezilla. In order for me to fully describe my appreciation and respect for Shaun will require me to write out a novel. But I will make sure I conclude with this simple note. Shaun is perfect, and if anyone wants their wedding to be flawless and perfect and stress-free, Shaun is your guy. He will never ever disappoint you. -

We had a truly exceptional experience at the Langham Hotel for our micro wedding on 12/31/2025!
As soon as we walked into the Melbourne room we knew it was the right place for a cozy, intimate, and above all elevated celebration. So, from the moment we booked this venue until the very end, Emily and her team ensured that every detail was executed absolutely seamlessly and to our liking. They were also extremely thoughtful and kind during all interactions, while our questions were met with understanding and flexibility. We were not only impressed by staff members, but also by the amenities the hotel provides including an unforgettable spa you’re welcome to explore in addition to fabulous locations for pictures.
Overall, the Langham hotel, Emily and the team created an unmatched 5-star luxurious stay for our families on one of the most important days of our lives. So, if you’re looking for quiet elegance with impeccable service, look no further because this is the place✨

Our wedding at the langham was UNREAL!!!!! Vasso was amazing from start to finish. I couldn’t imagine having our wedding anywhere else. She was so efficient with everything and made sure the whole process and day ran smooth. We did not have to worry about a thing!!!! The service was exceptional. Food was best wedding food ever had. We have so many compliments about the service, elegance, and food. Truly the most exceptional wedding venue and team. Best day ever!!! -

5 Star Perfection
I cannot say enough positive things about our wedding at the Langham. We had our ceremony and reception at the Langham. We worked with Emily and her team. The entire process was personalized and made me feel stress free. Emily was responsive to all my requests and made my day feel perfect. The food was outstanding. All of our guests said the food and venue set the bar high for all future weddings they attend. Emily and the Langham staff created a 5 start luxury environment for our wedding. every detail was thought of and our guests noticed! -

Having our daughter's wedding and reception at The Langham Chicago was the best decision! Vasso Power, Director of Catering, and her team were a pleasure to work with. They went above and beyond to make sure our daughter and her husband had the wedding of their dreams. Vasso even asked for a photo of the bride and groom to share with the staff so they would recognize them throughout the wedding weekend in the hotel. The cocktail hour was held in an area outside of the ballroom which created a great transition once it was time for dinner. It is very intimate having the whole third floor dedicated to the wedding space. The chef created a menu that our guests are still talking about! The food portions were very generous and served to perfection. The wine and spirit selections kept our guests happy and dancing all night long. We had the morning after brunch at the hotel and it was the perfect way to wrap up an amazing weekend. The special touches (treats delivered to rooms and special gifts for the bride and groom) and top notch hospitality made the wedding something that we will never forget. -

I could go on for pages about the exemplary professionalism, attention to detail, kindness, flexibility, and flawlessness with which Shaun and Emily brought our dream wedding to life. We had everything that we needed during every second of the process. Our guests felt so comfortable. Our vendors commented frequently on how well they were treated by the Langham staff. The food was spectacular. The timeline flowed perfectly. Our suite was beautiful. We felt like their only client from start to finish. My innumerable emails were answered thoroughly and promptly every single time. You cannot beat this venue or these people. They are truly masters of their craft. I would trust them completely with any vision. Our perfect day was stress-free. Thank you for everything, Shaun and Emily! -

You work hard to plan a wedding but it’s hard to really know how the day will end up coming together given all of the moving parts. I honestly was so incredibly blown away by the perfection of our wedding day, all made possible by the professionalism the The Langham and their coordinator (Shaun) provided. The day came together so wonderfully. The cocktail hour was beautiful, the schedule was flawless, the food was outstanding, and the party was fun. I will cherish the memories of my wedding day forever and truley feel that The Langham made it all possible. They exceeded all expectations and took any stress out of the day. -

Magical Wedding Experience
We had our wedding on 7/7 at the Langham Chicago hotel. When first looking at different venues in the city, we wanted a place that had a beautiful view of downtown that would be able to accommodate our small party. We looked at three separate hotels. We chose The Langham not only for its beauty and location, but also for its wonderful customer service. Our wedding was small, my husband and I and our six children. Not one time were we ever treated like we were a small wedding. Every detail was given the fullest attention. The accommodations were spectacular. The customer service, friendliness, helpfulness of the staff from the catering, front desk and spa were bar none. It truly made our wedding weekend magical. I can’t thank the Langham Chicago enough for all of they did.it’s no wonder they are a 5 star hotel!! We have many fond memories for years to come. -

We recently got married at the Langham and I can't recommend Shaun Rajah, Jordan Silverman and the rest of their fabulous team at the Langham more. We considered the other big spots - The Drake, Four Seasons, Peninsula, but we were so impressed with Shaun and the offering at the Langham and are so happy we went with them.
My husband and I live in NYC and so planned most of the wedding from afar. Shaun made everything so easy and smooth. He sent a vendor list (I used all his recommendations and they were amazing) and wedding planning timeline, which proved invaluable. Shaun and Jordan were so professional and went above and beyond to make the process and big day extra special for us.
Our guests also lovvvvved staying at the Langham. So many wonderful touches and the location in the city is the best. Lots of out of towners who have never been to Chicago and the views of the river are unbeatable. Amenities in the hotel were fab. I treated my bridesmaids to the spa beforehand - highly recommend. Shaun/Jordan also coordinated custom Tiffany's gifts for me and my husband, along with a beautiful mini cake to enjoy alone after the events. Me, my bridesmaids and my parents + the in-laws were blown away by every little detail.
It really was a perfect experience and I would choose the Langham again in a heartbeat. BIG thanks to Shaun, Jordan and the Langham team. -

My husband and I toured every single luxury hotel venue in Chicago and there was no doubt in our mind that we were going with The Langham once we met with Shaun Rajah (Director of Social Catering). Shaun and his team went above and beyond in ways that you only dream of as a bride. From the level of service, to the quality of the food, to the environment and attention to detail, we could not have asked for better. The Langham team never told us something wasn't possible even when we wanted to throw a 2am Vegas themed after party for our wedding guests - instead, they asked how they can help make it the best after party anyone's ever been to (and they did just that!).
Shaun is pleasure to work with and we wish we could throw a wedding or event at The Langham with him every single year because we enjoyed the experience and process so much. We are forever grateful for everything The Langham team has done for us and know the best decision we made for our wedding was hosting it there with Shaun. -

If I had to plan my wedding all over again, I would choose to work with the Langham every time. The service is impeccable. They make you feel like royalty, and your guests will rave about your wedding for a long time afterwards. Two special mentions are required: first, Shaun Rajah - the director of social catering - he is responsible for the highly personalized feel that you get at Langham. He remembers every small detail (for example, he met my grandma once and found out she likes Moscato so he had a bottle delivered to her room for wedding day). He will also help you plan and execute the event of your dreams. Second, Damion the chef and the entire culinary experience. This is NOT your average wedding food. It's high quality, and almost every guest raved about their dinner. Not to mention, Damion is just a wonderful, very kind human being - it was fun to meet him at the tasting and see him again on wedding day.
To summarize, this was the best decision we made for our wedding- only slightly behind picking the right spouse ;) Thank you, Langham and Shaun! -

I had a small wedding with 29 guests at the Langham. Everything went as planned. All the staff we came across were so welcoming and helpful. I booked the suite at the Langham before I even decided the wedding should be there because of its location and prominence! I planned the wedding in less than 3 months with the help of Shaun Rajah. Shaun was a pleasure to work with, always on top of everything, answered all my questions and concerns quickly and made sure all the details were correct. He even upgraded our suite and gave us personalized bathrobes to keep! The turn down service was so detailed, I've never had staff put a towel under my makeup before. We stayed another 2 nights in a King room. Room service was prompt and delicious. The beds were super comfy. The pool/hot tub were relaxing. Travelle bar staff were great and the drinks were delicious! We had such a wonderful and memorable experience, we will definitely be back and will check out other Langham locations in the future!! -

My wife and I selected the Langham as the venue for our wedding. The venue was stunning and provided beautiful views of the river and downtown Chicago.
Shaun and Claire made sure that our day was perfect and attended to every detail. Their professionalism, care and diligence led to a day that we and our guests will not forget. We didn't need a wedding coordinator (although recommended) primarily because Shaun was on top of communicating with our vendors, carrying out the timeline on the day of the wedding and making sure he had the pulse of the room. The event did not commence on time due to the late arrival of some our wedding party but Shaun was able to keep our guests entertained through beverages and conversations until we got started.
We have to highlight the food which our guests raved about and exclaimed was the best wedding food they had tasted. From presentation to taste, the chef exceeded all expectations in his preparation of the dishes we selected.
If we had to do it all over again, we wouldn't have changed a thing and highly recommend the Langham for a memorable wedding celebration! -

We recently got married at The Langham and could not have had a better experience. The planning process, from the first visit to the final walkthrough, was incredibly easy, all thanks to the knowledgable staff who went above and beyond to ensure our needs were met. Emily was a great planning partner and was very responsive to our inquiries. The convenience of having every event in the same venue was a real treat and made it easy for our guests to enjoy themselves. We are looking forward to spending anniversaries and special occasions at The Langham for years to come! -

Dream Wedding Venue
One of the best decisions I made when planning my November 2021 wedding was selecting the Langham as our venue! Shaun, Michelle and the rest of the staff are beyond professional and kind. They are attentive without being over bearing and so helpful. After we signed our contract, there were some staffing shifts in catering which made me nervous but Shaun and Michelle reassured my decision and were always available when I had a question or concern.
The food options were endless and so delicious and creative. We went with a pasta course instead of a traditional salad and had a made to order donut station for dessert which was so fun. We had a room flip from our ceremony to reception which was handled wonderfully by the staff especially since were a lot of rentals that were brought in like linen, flatware, etc.
Guests are still talking about what an experience the wedding and supporting events were! They loved their rooms and the location of the hotel. We also hosted a welcome party in Travelle the night before the wedding and a brunch the next day in the Pavilion which was beyond convenient. I highly recommend the Langham for your wedding or next event. They will go above and beyond to make it a memorable day! -

Shaun, Michelle, Chef Damion Henry, and the rest of the Langham staff were absolutely incredible during our wedding and in the planning process. You wont find a group of people with more attention to detail and higher quality service. Shaun and Michelle were extremely helpful in answering my questions and working together with us and our wedding planner to put together a beautifully crafted, creative wedding. Shaun was friendly, attentive, and expedient whenever we had ideas to discuss, and was great at figuring out how The Langham could make our dream wedding come true.
Chef Damion Henry guided us through our tasting with a level of expertise and finesse that went beyond our expectations, and the food was divine. Our guests loved their meals and the food went above and beyond what you may typically think of when it comes to hotel banquet food.
Our guests were so impressed with the overall experience of the Langham, whether they stayed the night as part of our wedding block, or were just attending for our wedding. The staff is so kind, especially the doorman Stojan, who seems to remember everyone who comes and goes, and is easily able to pick up a conversation exactly where he left off the last time he saw you.
Everyone was so kind not just to us, but to our family and guests as well, and its really magical to get married at the Langham! -

Getting married at the Langham was a fantastic experience! Emily and the team were extremely responsive and helpful with the entire planning process. The food was absolutely incredible for cocktail hour and dinner, and the service team was very friendly and professional. Our only challenge in working with the Langham was that they only have very limited in-house decor and only one option for in-house tables and chairs. We ended up renting chairs, drapery, floor coverings, stage coverings, and stairs from other vendors, which increased our total cost. Overall, the Langham was a wonderful place to get married! We had lots of fun and really enjoyed the location being right downtown so that we had a view of the river and the city all night! -
