It was an absolute pleasure to work with the staff at the Inn on the Lake! We had our rehearsal dinner under the large tent out back the night before our wedding, and the Inn on the Lake was incredibly organized, kind, flexible and attentive. I would recommend them to anyone, I wish I could have worked with them for the actual wedding too!

We had a wonderful experience at the Inn on the Lake. The only thing I wish we would've known is that because there is a bar right next to the outdoor tent, we had TONS of wedding crashers! People we did not know where out on the dance floor with us, posing for our photographer, and stealing cake! I wish we had been warned that this might happen. That way, we could have asked some of our guests to watch the entrance ways of the tent or we could have requested more staff from the Inn to monitor the issue.

The Inn on the Lake was the first venue we went to in our search. We looked at other venues, but our initial meeting with Elyse was a major factor in our decision since Canandaigua is a 5-hour drive from where we live, it was very important to have someone to help coordinate. From the start, I felt like I had known Elyse for years and knew we would work well together.

We wanted all of our guests being able to stay our wedding venue. The Inn has a great location near restaurants & breweries and was reasonably priced for the summer. The Inn had lots of spaces and conferences rooms for finishing craft projects and hosting the bridal party for hair & make-up. The Sand Bar was the perfect after-party spot!

While I wrote up some notes for Elyse to set-up the decor, I was completely blown away by all the careful consideration she took to make our day look beautiful. She found a way to incorporate so many of the details that I hadn’t fully contemplated.

While our tasting was good, the food on our wedding day was amazing! Our guests commented on the quality and taste of the hors-d'oeuvres, dinner, and cake, made by one of the recommended vendors, Cake Baby! The Inn was so flexible when it came to selecting our beers and signature drinks. My husband’s family is VERY Irish and we wanted Guinness on-tap (yes, in August)! The Inn secured a special tap for the tent to make it happen. Their attention to detail and flexibility were much appreciated!

Best venue in the Finger Lakes!

Our wedding at Inn on the Lake was absolutely perfect - everything we could have hoped for, and so much more! The staff was exceptionally professional, attentive, responsive to all requests, and came up with creative solutions to make our day special. We can't speak highly enough of Lori and her entire team's attention to detail and willingness to go above and beyond to give us the wedding of our dreams!

The Inn on the Lake itself is a beautiful venue. However, what makes the Inn on the Lake a notch above the rest is Lori. Lori is in charge of the wedding planning at the Inn on the Lake and comes included when you book at Inn on the Lake. From, the moment, we met her through the entire process Lori did not miss a beat. She was helpful, encouraging, and thoughtful. Many people told us planning a wedding is stressful, but I can honestly say with Lori guiding us along the way we never stressed for a minute and actually enjoyed the process. We never had a worry in the world because any time we weren't sure how we would achieve something we wanted for our big day we would look at each other and say "Lori's got this we will just call her. I cannot recommend the Inn on the Lake enough and moreover the experience and chance to work with Lori. We cannot thank her enough for making a flawless perfect wedding day come to fruition.

It was an amazing day, the location was beautiful and everything was taken care of by the staff, I didn't have to worry about a thing that day! The ballroom was gorgeous, not plain looking at all like a lot of weddings I have been to. The only negative is my 13 year old sons rented tuxedo jacket was taken from the head table and we had to pay for a new one.

Elyse was wonderful! She was flexible with things that I wanted a particular way, and creative with things that I wasn't sure how I wanted. She helped me find a package that fit my budget and the number of guests I invited. I could tell that Elyse really wanted my wedding to be perfect for me, not just for the sake of her job or the Inn's reputation. I would absolutely recommend this venue!

Elyse is phenomenal. She is extremely knowledgeable and willing to go above and beyond to make our day go smoothly. Elyse executed the ceremony and reception the exact way I had imagined it. She set everything thing up according to the plan. The food was exceptional. Our guests are still talking about it.

Brandi was absolutely amazing, she was always there for us, she was patient, she was the reason our wedding was amazing. I received so many complements from our guests about the inn, the service, the food, the ambiance and Brandi specifically. They were amazed at her level of service, kindness, and efficiency. Our wedding at the Inn on the Lake was amazing. We used the arbor on the lawn for the ceremony and the ballroom for the reception. Food was delicious and the entire day ran smoothly thanks to Brandi and Autumn. My guests still talk about our wedding because of the location and service. Brandi was extremely responsive to my emails and millions of questions. Worth every penny!!

We had absolutely nothing but the best experience at Inn On The Lake. Even though we had a small wedding (50 guests) we were treated as though we had 500! Lori Proper was the absolute best to work with. Even when due to inclement weather, I decided 15 minutes before the ceremony to move it inside, everything was taken care of and no one knew the difference. All of our guests were overly impressed with our venue. If you want a beautiful setting, outstanding service, delicious food, and everything to be perfect, make an appointment to visit Inn On The Lake and seriously consider having your wedding there.

Brandi and her team at the Inn on the Lake were extremely accommodating! We were the last wedding of the outdoor season, and we were faced with some inclement weather. Brandi and her team worked together to make sure the weather did not ruin our special day, and that we could still have the ceremony and reception outside under the tents. The Inn was extremely accommodating to various requests such as dietary restrictions, last minute table shifts, decoration requests, flower requests- you name it! On the day of wedding, we did not have to worry about a thing as everything was taken care of. I would highly recommend the Inn on the Lake to any couple who is looking for a wedding venue.

We loved everything about our wedding this summer. Elyse was always professional and accommodating with our requests. We wouldn't have changed a thing from the first stages of planning to the after hours on the night of the wedding. True 5 star experience and service!!

I thought that the Inn couldn't get better than the location and the view, and then I met Elyse! From our first meeting, I knew the Inn was the venue where we would have our dream wedding and that we could count on Elyse to help make it happen! Throughout the planning process, Elyse and the other members of the staff were accommodating in every way and incredibly responsive to any questions we had. Elyse gave us recommendations for vendors in the area, and every single one we worked with exceeded our expectations! We worked with the chef at the Inn to create our ideal menu and everything was absolutely delicious! Our wedding day was absolutely wonderful with every detail executed perfectly. I cannot say enough good things about this venue or about the experience of working with Elyse! I would without a doubt recommend the Inn on the Lake for anyone who wants to have an unforgettable wedding!

Brandi and Lori were the most amazing people to work with at The Inn on the Lake. They went above and beyond to make sure that our wedding day went off without a hitch. They were both very easy to get a hold of and were very flexible to work with us to make our wedding day perfect. They took care of all of the set-up and take-down which made our day stress-free and even packed everything up so organized that it was easy to pack up our cars the next day. Both Brandi and Lori are extremely professional and even helped me pick out other vendors in the area with their honest opinions (since we leave out of town and didn't know anyone). We cannot wait to come back and visit! This venue is a MUST for your dream wedding and worth every penny!

Brandi and the staff at the Inn were AMAZING. Our wedding went off without a hitch, was beautiful, and people are still talking about it. The staff were professional and fun. Brandi always got back to us in a timely manner and went above and beyond for us, our family and guests. We have the pleasure of working with Brandi who is absolutely amazing!! She was always quick to answer any email, call, and question! Our wedding was on Labor Day weekend and everything was absolutely perfect! Brandi did an amazing job bringing all of our ideas to reality. Set up an appointment to meet with Brandi and get a tour of the hotel. She was absolutely amazing and one of the reasons we chose to have our wedding here. She was very quick to respond to all our questions, gives you lots of options and ideas of how to do everything. She will keep you organized and on top of everything to make sure everything runs smoothly the day of the wedding. They have space if you need child care during your wedding. The outdoor ceremony area was so nice. The hotel takes care of everything for you, set up and take down, so you don't have to worry about anything during your big day. We used the indoor reception area which was set up perfectly, we had about 115 guest and had more than enough space for eating and dancing. If you need a place for Rehearsal dinner, ask to have it on the patio at the Inn, the food is amazing, and you get a lovely view overlooking the lake. We can honestly say we had an absolutely perfect day at the Inn on the Lake for our wedding.

Lori and Brandi were extremely helpful!! I know we had a bunch of special requests and they exceeded every single one! They are very responsive, very happy to accommodate every little thing we needed, especially me! We were able to have our ceremony right on the gorgeous views of Canandaigua Lake and take pictures later. Just a phenomenal job by both ladies. I cannot thank you both enough! Baker Motsay Wedding

Brandi Palermo was the most accommodating, understanding and hard working wedding coordinators i have ever worked with! The entire venue was set up exactly how i described it and honestly my day was perfect from waking up to going to bed that night! Brandi and the Inn staff busted their tails making sure I had a stress free perfect day! I loved everything about my day and would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone wanted to plan their wedding there!

The Inn on the Lake was an amazing place for my daughters wedding. We had an outdoor ceremony with a reception under the tent. Being in a public area on the lake, they provided security services to prevent wedding crashers. Brandi was awesome...like your own personal wedding planner - she helped coordinate a wide range of activities for the event. She provided lists of top quality vendors in the area, and was very insightful with details you may or may not have thought about. She was very organized, friendly, communicated very well/timely, and was able to accommodate all our special requests. We had a lot of guests coming from out of town, and on a holiday weekend in wine country, it was challenging to coordinate rooms for all our guests, but between Brandi and the hotel staff, they stayed in constant communication with us to help accommodate all our guests. We all know the day of the wedding flies by, but you can kick back and enjoy the day with your family and friends, knowing that all your plans will be executed perfectly with Brandi and her staff. We had nothing but amazing feedback from our guests.

Even though our wedding was a very small event, we were never made to feel that way. The time and attention our coordinator gave us was excellent!

We can not say enough positive things about our experience with Lori (and her team) for our wedding. In July 2015, we found ourselves in the unfortunate situation of learning that a family member was terminally ill. At that time, we were also trying to plan our wedding and we had always had our hearts set on The Inn on the Lake for its sentimental appeal unique to us and for its amazing atmosphere. With the "family situation" we were dealing with, we were feeling a need to move the wedding up from Spring 2016. Keep in mind it was already July 2015 and with Fall/Winter on the horizon, dates for an outdoor location were almost non-existent. An initial, brief view of The Inn on the Lake showed minimal availability and pricing that was going to be too high for our budget, given the additional medical expenses we were incurring. On a whim, I decided to have a heart-to-heart discussion with Lori, informing her of our situation and looking for any ways that we might be able to pull this off. The decision to place that call to Lori was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Lori was genuinely sympathetic to our situation. She immediately suggested a date and flexible options to consider to help fit our budget while maintaining the "specialness" that we were seeking. And in a surprisingly short time, we were able to come up with a scenario that perfectly fit our desires. Had I not placed a call to Lori that day, we never would've uncovered what truly was possible. Even though we were frantic with whirlwind timing we were trying to pull off, Lori just kept working with us, helping us not feel any added stress. We will be forever thankful to Lori and her assistant Emily for everything they did in helping us plan and implement our special day, inclusive of "being there" the entire evening. Reflecting back, it couldn't have worked out any better...

I would highly recommend Brandi Palermo as a fantastic wedding coordinator at the Inn On The Lake in Canandaigua. She was absolutely incredible! We had our hearts set on the Inn on the Lake as our wedding reception venue from day one and working with Brandi made the entire experience truly wonderful for us. She was extremely professional and patient throughout the entire planning process. Any question, request, or need I had was happily met in a timely and efficient fashion. How incredible she was throughout the planning process was nothing in comparison to how amazing she was for us on our wedding day. All events throughout the day and night went smoothly and exactly the way we had hoped for. She was always there for my husband and I, checking in and could almost anticipate any need we would have. We were extremely impressed with how she led her team and worked collaboratively with all staff at the Inn. All and all she did a wonderful job and we are extremely appreciative of all the work she did she make our wedding day perfect.

My experience with Inn on the Lake was remarkable. For planning an out of state wedding, Brandi and her team were extremely accommodating and flexible. I had full confidence in all of the recommendations that she made regarding vendors; and I always felt that I was in good hands. She is extremely organized, patient, and genuinely pleasant to work with. She wasn't feeling well the day before and day of my wedding, and she still made miracles happen to make our day run smoothly and perfectly. Having confidence in the staff you are working with eliminates so much unnecessary stress! I would recommend this venue and staff to anyone.

We worked with Brandi at Inn on the Lake. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. She was helpful with the planning process and so willing to work with my vision and offer suggestions. She was prompt when answering questions and always had a calm and patient demeanor throughout the whole process. Brandi followed up will all my vendors helping to make the reception run smoothly. All staff was attentive throughout the evening. They checked in frequently to get drinks and see if we were satisfied. The decor was all that I hoped for and the timeline of the night was exactly what we agreed upon. We had many compliments about the food and the icing on the cake was when we found some of the late night snacks we never found time to eat tucked in our hotel room fridge after the wedding! We were thoroughly please with Inn on the Lake from the initial planning up to the morning after the reception and would highly recommend this venue as well as Brandi! She made the process effortless!

Amazing experience. My wife and I had our wedding at the Inn on the Lake in July 2015 and it was amazing. Everything we could have pictured. We had a great experience from the first time we looked it up online to the first time we visited all the way through to today! The venue was absolutely beautiful - my wife and I had a wedding with approximately 250 guests and the Inn the Lake was more than accommodating. Every single detail we wanted was taken care of. We are a same sex couple and we couldn't have asked for a more professional place to have our wedding. Brandi took care of us from our first e-mail and we are even friends now today. She is great at her job and truly cares about her clients. She made sure every single detail and aspect we pictured was taken care of. Even though it was raining on our wedding day we were able to squeeze our ceremony into a "20-minute misty period" and it still turned out wonderful. Our guests had nothing but GREAT things to say about our special day. I would recommend the Inn on the Lake and Brandi to anyone who is exploring this venue. The Inn on the Lake was the perfect venue for our wedding. Working with Brandi as our wedding consultant was refreshing. Brandi was very sweet, flexible, creative, hard-working, efficient and quick to respond to my many emails. She worked hard to understand and execute our wedding vision. The inn on the lake is the perfect Finger Lakes venue to get married and have a wedding reception. They took care of every detail and made wedding planning as stress free as possible. My husband and I were planning our wedding from out of state and the Inn made it remarkably smooth. Every request we made was answered quickly and to out liking. The food was amazing, the staff was friendly and made sure all our guests were taken care of. I never imagined wedding planning could be so easy but the Inn made it possible! I would recommend this place to anyone that wants to have a perfect unforgettable wedding for themselves and their guests!

The Inn on the Lake is above and beyond our expectations for our wedding. It fit all our needs for out of town guest, to the budget. The wedding was flawless and included our dog. It was the best party ever!

She went above and beyond in helping us plan our wedding from out of state and worked with us to schedule appointments when we were in town. We worked with Brandi Palermo at the Inn on the Lake. She was extremely responsive via email and phone to answer all of our questions. Additionally, the final meeting before the wedding was spend putting my mind at ease. The staff set up the ceremony and reception: seating, table settings, linens; arranged and placed all of our decorations accordingly. The food was amazing and the rooms were comfortable and relaxing. I am very happy with our choice to use the Inn as our wedding ceremony and reception venue.

My husband and I recently got married here and it was AMAZING! From our first meeting with Brandi (our coordinator) I knew this would be our venue. She was so easy to work with and always responded so quickly to me with all my questions throughout the entire process.
The actual wedding day itself was nothing short of amazing. From the minute we got there, Brandi and her team were there accommodating everything we needed! From bringing drinks, to sewing buttons on one of the groomsmen's coat, she was there! Our officiant was running late and she kept us informed of everything going on. The ceremony was stunning, the view of the lake was so breathtaking. When we started taking pictures right after, Brandi was there already getting drink orders for the bridal party and helping my maid of honor bustle up my dress.
I had a vision of what I wanted the reception to look like, and let me tell you, they totally BLEW me away! It was better than anything I could have imagined. Our guests throughout the whole night complimented how it was set up and how gorgeous everything was. Our guests also raved about the awesome staff that tended to us all night. Everyone who works there was great and did everything with a smile on their face.
I couldn't have asked for anything more. The Inn on the Lake did such an amazing job with everything. I couldn't thank Brandi enough to let her know how special she made this day for us that we will remember forever!

My husband and I recently got married at Inn on the Lake and let me tell you, it was AMAZING. We truly cannot say enough good things about our entire experience!!!! I would highly, highly recommend getting married here. For starters, from our very first meeting in June 2013 to our wedding in October 2014, Lori was WONDERFUL. She was always prompt with answering my questions (there were many) and she completely got my vision for our wedding from Day One. Lori was a true pleasure to work with, and by the date of the wedding it felt like I was working with a close friend. :) In addition, the rest of the staff at Inn on the Lake were nothing short of lovely. From check in, to hospitality, to the rest of the event staff, everyone was so nice, so accommodating, and just great people. We LOVED the venue. Everything was gorgeous. Working with Lori Proper and her assistant was a dream. They were so helpful and always around when we needed them. The venue is so beautiful and you cannot go wrong. We did a buffet dinner and i was skeptical about the food but it was excellent! They were on top of everything throughout the night and I never had to worry about a thing.
The only hard part of the day was standing on the grass during the ceremony, definitely get some heel protectors for yourself and bridesmaid if you do the ceremony outside! :)

I had my reception here at The Inn on the Lake. My main coordinator was Sarah but Lori and Tim also helped me throughout the process. The process itself was great, I met several times over the course of a year and Sarah was great with all my "attention to details" a.k.a. picky bride. We made some customized changes to the "Dream Come True" package and we held a voucher breakfast from the regular buffet the next morning, which everyone was super impressed with. The extra touches that made the "big bill" worth it- the view is great on the lake, (be mindful of the Sandbar and boats that park behind the tent though) the next morning Sarah was there for our breakfast and had put our floral decorations out in the lounge for our breakfast so we could enjoy them again, our wedding room was paid extra attention and Sarah helped my MOH decorate it before we got back to the room after the reception. Sarah helped me with everything from tent layout to the table setting, to the signature drinks to appetizers. We asked for local wines, tedious signature drinks, specialty liquors etc. and all our wishes were granted! Our guests were so happy with everything and so were my husband and I, we can't recommend The Inn on the Lake enough! We had our ceremony at another location which I do recommend due to the foot traffic and boats that are permitted right behind the ceremony sight at The Inn...

We originally were going to have our wedding in the ball room when they had a cancellation in the tent they called and offered it to us since they knew the tent was our first choice. Tim was our planner and he was so helpful. The food was delicious and the tent was gorgeous. Both Tim and his assistant Emily were awesome. They took everything for us up to our room and even brought our flip flops down to us. The sand bar was nice after the reception they even stayed open a little longer for us

We had our wedding and reception at the Inn on the Lake. It is a beautiful spot on the water and having your reception in the tent is amazing. Everyone was great to work with and went above and beyond to make our day exactly what we wanted. Lori was absolutely wonderful to work with and she made all my ideas work perfectly (smore's bar, sparklers, tent setup etc). I can't say enough about the Inn on the Lake's service and would highly recommend them.

We had our rehearsal dinner at the Inn on the Lake. It was great! We had our own private room. When we arrived everything was all ready to go, and I noticed that there were 2 other weddings going on at the same time...yet, we weren't delayed at all. They were well prepared, well organized and very accommodating. We needed the check separated into 2 and that wasn't a big deal for them. We also needed some vegetarian meals, and that was no problem for them. I was very pleased with the service of the meals, and the setup of the room & tables. It was a great start to the weekend!

The Inn on the Lake is a beautiful place to have your wedding. We recently had both our wedding and reception there and were very impressed with the outcome. From day one of our planning to the day we got married, Judy our planner at Inn on the Lake took very good care of us. Judy was alway on top of it all, and prompt when we had questions. To say that Lori and her team were amazing doesn't give them enough credit. From the moment we met Lori she was sweet, warm, welcoming, and professional. She helped keep me calm throughout the planning process and gave me a sense of direction with what I might be missing, which actually was mostly her reassuring me I wasn't missing anything. On the day of the wedding several surprise things came up that Lori took care of without me even knowing, such as unexpected guests and signs that we were supposed to bring but forgot.

We also had our rehearsal dinner there and they took care of anything we needed. We didn't feel rushed at all afterwards. The whole experience was amazing.

I would absolutely recommend anyone get married here. Thank you Inn on the Lake for an amazing wedding reception!

We got married at the Inn on the Lake in October and despite less than ideal weather, had a great experience. We worked with Lori who was very helpful and made sure everything went well the weekend of our wedding. Our guests had a great time and enjoyed the food as well. Our only regret is that we didn't get a chance to enjoy the lake!

We had our wedding at the Inn on the Lake on September 23, 2017. The venue and catering were great, especially how gorgeous that tent is. But honestly, the entire experience was PERFECT because of Brandi Palermo. She made every single step of the process painless. She was prompt to answer every single question and email, no matter how silly. What really made the difference was Brandi handling every single detail over our wedding weekend. She is simply the BEST. You will not regret having your wedding at the Inn with Brandi as your coordinator!

When searching for a wedding venue, my fiancé and I knew we wanted to be on the water. We loved the location of the tent at the Inn on the Lake, but it was truly Brandi who sealed the deal for us! She was incredible to work with! Brandi was beyond accommodating throughout the entire planning process and ensured our day was exactly what we wanted it to be. Lori Proper was the absolute BEST person to work with. Planning a wedding is a very stressful process & she was always there to help out with a smile on her face. Never saying no to any of our crazy wedding ideas! We couldn't have been happier with the process & the day itself.
During the reception, not only did Lori stay & make certain that everything went well, she had other co-workers there to assist. It was an unusually cold October day & our event was outside in the tent. We were concerned about people staying warm & food coming out hot. I didn't hear anyone complain about the temperature inside the tent & the food came out piping hot! Even the filets were cooked to perfection. The venue is so beautiful & the people at the Inn (front desk, etc) were so accommodating & friendly to us & all our guests. The bulk of our guests were from out of town (we occupied about 70 rooms) It was so nice having everything all contained. We even went across the street to McGregors after the reception for an after party. All within walking distance. No worries about drinking & driving.
Overall we were extremely happy with everything. No complaints. I would highly recommend The Inn for any event.

The Inn on the Lake is a beautiful venue right on Canandaigua Lake. The ceremony was set up on the lawn and the reception was in their gorgeous tent. The Enchanted Evening package included appetizers, 3 hours of open bar, wine with dinner, champagne toast, a 3 course meal, wedding cake, coffee/tea bar and a room for the night. I know I'm probably forgetting something. Tim and his assistant Abby were excellent throughout the whole process. The wedding was perfect!!

This was TERRIFIC venue for our wedding and Brandi was amazing! She knew every detail and was always right there when I needed her. It rained on our Wedding day and it was still BEAUTIFUL. The Inn on the Lake is a gorgeous setting! We had our wedding in the lake front tent and it was perfect for our crowd of 150 people. We are approaching our 1 year anniversary and our guests are still talking about what a great time they had staying at the Inn for the weekend. We worked with Elyse as our coordinator and had an amazing experience. She was accommodating and professional and took care of all the little details. And the whole staff made everything run so smoothly on the day of. They set everything up exactly how I envisioned it, and coordinated with all of our vendors. I never had to check in to make sure everything was happening when it was supposed to, which made for a very enjoyable day.

We only had our Reception at the Inn on the Lake, not our Ceremony. The venue was very convenient for our guests as most of them were from out of town and were able to stay at the hotel on premise. Lori was good to work with and was very flexible with decorations and allowed us to pick our menue a-la-carte and make minor changes last minute (which helped us save some money!). At times, Lori was a little slow to respond to our questions, but not as slow as many other vendors. All of our vendors were very familiar with the Inn on the Lake and worked really well with Lori and her staff. The Inn on the Lakes staff set up our decorations and handed out our welcome bags with very little direction. I also received several compliments on our food. During our reception, the interns made sure my groom and I always had a drink in our hand and food to eat. They also did a really good job making sure non-wedding guests did not try to enter the tent. Overall it was a positive experience.
