The Band That Made Our Wedding!

We truly could not have asked for a better band for our wedding. From the very first song to the last, they brought incredible energy, talent, and professionalism. The dance floor was packed all night, and guests of all ages were raving about the music long after the night ended.

They did an amazing job reading the room, blending our must-play songs with crowd favorites, and keeping the celebration flowing perfectly. Beyond their musical talent, they were a joy to work with—organized, responsive, and genuinely invested in making our day unforgettable.

The Jon Bates Band - for a Wedding

From our first conversation with Jon after reaching out to him about playing for our wedding, we knew the band would be excellent! There's something very special about having excellent live music instead of a DJ for a wedding. Within the wide range of titles they play to pick from, we were easily able to narrow in a selection that fit what we were looking for -- jazz that can get people out of their seats! The band worked perfectly with the venue, and they were able to pick up several requests from us to play tracks that weren't on the original list without any issues. Every one of the members was excellent and incredibly kind. Please don't hesitate at all if you're considering reaching out to Jon to play for your event; the band will be a cornerstone that people will remember as a perfect, memorable, and key part of the experience!

The best band ever!!!

Jon Bates and the band were incredible!!!! Many guests said they were the best band that they had ever heard at a wedding. Jon was very responsive and supportive in all our communication leading up to the wedding. The entire band was very kind, punctual, flexible, affordable, and a whole lot of fun! They even agreed to learn and play two songs that we requested. My wife and I couldn't recommend them higher, and we both hope to somehow cross paths with Jon and the band again someday!

AMAZING BAND! You need JBB for your wedding

The Jon Bates Band was fantastic for our wedding.
Throughout the introduction, the booking experience, and the planning, Jon was super professional and had a clear and quick communication with us the band needed and what they could deliver etc.
The band also had the kindness and flexibility to reschedule when our wedding had to be postponed a whole year due to Covid, without additional fees.
Finally, we had a specific vision for our wedding which involved the band playing specific tracks during the ceremony, which they executed beautifully.
Overall, best band around, they will make the music process so easy for you and will light up the dancefloor all night with their tunes, this is your sign to hire them!!

Incredible Band!

The Jon Bates Band made our wedding! Many of our friends and family told us it was "the best wedding band" they had ever heard. The dance floor was packed all night, they can play a HUGE variety of songs and they were just so much fun. Jon was such an easy vendor to work with - stayed in touch, had a plan, and was totally open to whatever we asked. I would hire them again in a heartbeat and can't recommend them enough!!

Best ever!

We saw the Jon Bates Band perform at our friends' wedding in Vermont a number of years ago. My now-husband and I knew (before we were even engaged!) that we wanted these guys to play our wedding, should we get to that point together. Fortunately, they travel all over and were happy to come to Delaware for our 10/5/2019 wedding.

Communication was smooth throughout the entire process, and they were completely open to working with us on our song list and catering to what we really love most. Their rendition of our first dance song was spot-on to what we hoped it would be.

They played a consistently strong set all night and had everyone - and I mean everyone! - up and dancing. I can honestly say that it could not have gone better, nor could we have enjoyed it more.

I highly recommend this group of talented musicians.

Incredible band, everyone loved them

Incredibly talented, wonderful band! Everyone agreed they were the best wedding band they'd ever seen. We only had 46 guests and they were fantastic, getting every single person dancing and singing along, sure they would be just as amazing with hundreds of guests - we felt so lucky to have them as a huge part of our big day. Amazing band for all ages!

Hiring the Jon Bates Band for our wedding was the best decision that we could have made. My husband and I love dancing and wanted our wedding to feel like one continuous dance party. Jon Bates Band worked closely with us to make sure that happened by helping us schedule the flow of the night, integrating songs that we wanted into their playlist, selecting songs that all generations enjoyed, and sticking to ones that would keep people from wanting to sit down! Our dance floor was packed for the ENTIRE night with people from 16 to 90 years old. We heard comments from our guests and workers at our venue that they had never seen so many guests up and dancing for the whole night. The band is incredibly talented - their sound is wonderful, they have many pieces available, and they can play a wide range of music types. They made our night SO much fun and memorable! They are a must-have!

Danced all night!

After a long search for a lively and affordable band, we came across the Jon Bates band for our wedding last summer. I was a little nervous about hiring people I had never met before or seen permor, however from our first phone call with Jon, I knew that they were a serious band that liked to have people party and get on the dance floor. And that was exactly what they did. People danced all night long and we kept getting comments about how wonderful the music was. They were very flexible with what we wanted to hear and definitely read the room for song choices. Thank you so much!

The jon bates band is absolutely amazing!

Simply put, The Jon Bates band is the most talented group of artists imaginable. One of the most memorable parts of my wedding was dancing the night away with all my friends and family. Their energy is AMAZING and they had even the most reserved guests on the dance floor. They kept the party going all night! We picked various types of music to satisfy our eclectic guest list and they nailed every single song. I was overwhelmed by their talent and professionalism. Book them ASAP if you want to have the BEST WEDDING BAND!!

The Jon Bates Band was hands down one of our FAVORITE parts of our wedding day. From the very beginning of the process, they were so easy to work with, so friendly and we were excited to have them as a part of our day.

They were able to play such a wide variety of music which made the night even more fun (oldies to modern music).

They came with so much energy and passion and you can truly tell how much they love their jobs.

Lastly, they were so accommodating and made some last minute adjustments and played a special dance song for my grandmother and me.

A couple of months have passed since the wedding, but my wife and I still have such great memories of the Jon Bates Band and would highly recommend them to anyone considering them. We are big fans! Thanks again for helping make our day so special!

Better then I could have hoped for

Hiring the Jon Bates band was one of the best decisions I made for our wedding day. Jon and the rest of the band put SO much love and heart into each and every song. They kept our guests dancing all night long. Jon met with us before the big day to make sure that they would give us everything we wanted. They did that and More. We even asked for them to learn a few special songs and again. They were quick to make sure that they knew every song we wanted played. The best thing was that we asked Jon and the band to learn a special edited version of a song for my Father / Daughter dance. They did an INCREDIBLE job. The way they made the song their own made that moment even more special for us. If you are looking for a wedding band that will do more then just, Play the music. Then you have found them.

I want to take a moment to thank Jon Bates and the Band for an incredible performance! As musicians, it was important for me and my husband to have a live band for our wedding, and The Jon Bates Band met every expectation, and more! I had first heard them perform at my sisters wedding a few years ago, so after booking my wedding date I reached out to Jon immediately. From our first conversation he was friendly, professional, and accommodating of all of our requests. The wedding was a hit, and the dance floor was packed all night long. We received so many compliments on the bands performance and were even told that their versions of every song were “as good as the originals, if not better!” I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a classy band at a fair price. Jon and the group are terrific! The planning and execution process was so easy and so flexible, rather than other music vendors we spoke with who very much wanted to execute "their way".

I can't say enough good things about the Jon Bates Band. One of the top priorities at our wedding was music and I couldn't have been happier with this band! They were incredibly responsive and easy to work with - everything was laid out clearly from what services they provided (how many pieces of the band we were looking for as well as which portions of the event we wanted live music) and their song list is EXTENSIVE. But the very best thing was that our guests were up and dancing from the minute the band took the stage. I am pretty sure that almost every guest at our wedding told us how fantastic they were. My wife and I first heard The Jon Bates Band a year before we got engaged when they played my sister's wedding. When we were planning our own wedding, we thought we had a slim-to-none chance of finding a band as good - and we were right. After researching what felt like a hundred bands, we decided to reach out to The Jon Bates Band on the off chance that they would be able to travel to a different state for our wedding. When we found out they were available, there was no question that they were the band for us.

What stands out about The Jon Bates Band? Musically speaking, they are hands down the highest energy wedding band I've ever seen perform. These musicians are working hard every minute they're on stage, and the guests at our wedding (and my sister's) responded by hitting the dance floor in force. The band members are not only very talented individually, but they are tight as a group - a rare thing in a wedding band (as anyone who's sat through a dozen YouTube audition videos can tell you).

The Jon Bates was by far our favorite vendor to deal with during the entire wedding planning process. Jon was not only professional, but also extremely positive during the whole process. He handled last minute scheduling and logistical changes with grace and optimism - "whatever happens, we're gonna keep the party going" is something I remember him saying, and he was right.

We were honored to have The Jon Bates band at our wedding and it was one of the highlights. Firstly, they all are really nice people and then they started to play music and people could not contain themselves. Every one of them is at the top of their game and they blew us all away with their talent. I had friends going up to them during set breaks to get their email and phone number so they could hear them play again. The Jon Bates Band made our wedding. The entire group could not have been more professional, responsive to our requests, or helpful as we planned our perfect day. The musicians learned special songs for our ceremony, made our first dance perfect and memorable, and kept us dancing for 4 hours straight. Frankly, the music was the best I've ever heard at a wedding (and my family is full of musicians, so we are tough to please). Our guests did not sit down for even a minute, and they kept calling for encores because they didn't want the music to end. The Jon Bates Band is the perfect wedding band regardless of venue, time, day, or anything else. Jonny is responsive and flexible and can literally play anything you could possibly imagine. The professional musicians in his band have years of experience and can adapt to any and all requests. Our first dance was reggae, my wife's dance with her father was pop, and my dance with my mother was southern rock. All were played to the note, and all were outside the 200 song available playlist. I can not recommend this band enough.

Words will do no justice in describing how truly pleased my husband and I were with the Jon Bates Band. From begging to end, working on every detail with Jon was flawless. The Jon Bates Band rocked my wedding!! The variety of music they played and enthusiasm had all of our guests dancing the entire evening. Not only were they amazing during the reception, but the guitarist was spot on for our ceremony music - a ceremony that took place outside, at the top of a mountain. He even rode the chairlift up and back just as our guests did.

Our wedding took place in rural New Hampshire and the band booked themselves an AirBNB so they could stay the night. When their first BNB had to cancel, Jon contacted us and told us that no matter what they'd be there. Luckily they were able to find a different place to stay and all went smoothly.

I've now seen the Jon Bates Band perform at two weddings (they performed on Martha's Vineyard for my best friend's wedding several years ago) and I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a group that will keep your crowd dancing!

We were thrilled with the Jon Bates Band! They made our daughter's wedding the most memorable event ever and we cannot thank them enough for their talent, willingness to be flexible ( a very close friend of ours performed two numbers with the band) and their warm congeniality. We would enthusiastically recommend The Jon Bates Band for any occasion! We hired them for our wedding reception and from the first email to the event date, they were so responsive and accommodating to our requests. The dance floor was jam packed throughout their entire set. Everyone I spoke to said they were the best band they had seen at any wedding and I have to agree. I wanted to take a minute to thank the band for doing an absolutely incredible job at our wedding. I have had so many people come up to me or comment on photos about how amazing the band was. I knew they were going to be great, but they far exceeded my expectations. They were so professional and quick to respond to emails and phone calls. They accommodated all of our requests and took care of organizing the setup with the venue on their own. We had 3 musicians do an instrumental cocktail hour and then the entire band for the reception and they were all fantastic! I cannot thank them enough for doing such an incredible job and recommend them to anyone who is looking for a band for any type of event.

A band really makes or breaks a wedding.
The Jon Bates Band was fabulous in every way at my wedding in August 2013.
They offer a huge selection of music from pop to funk to classic Sinatra. Nothing is comparable to having a live band at your wedding. Its a must!!!
Personally they genuinely kind and nice to work with. Not to mention very patient as timelines changed during the planning process.
My good friends who are getting married in the coming year asked me for the Bands information before leaving the wedding; they enjoyed the music that much.
All I wanted was for everyone to be dancing all night and The Jon Bates Band accomplished that and much more. The energy in the room was fantastic.
There is so much to worry about when planning a wedding, choose the Jon Bates Band and confidently cross that task off your list.

In the time leading up to our wedding, I was impressed with the level of detail of preparation that they showed. We had chosen some harder songs that the standard wedding band might not be able to play, and I must say, the musicians in the Jon Bates Band are extremely talented and nailed all of our requests with style. The true test for a great wedding band is the reaction of your wedding guests. All of our guests could not stop talking about the band and how good they were. We had a blast with the Jon Bates Band and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a talented wedding band.

We hired the Jon bates band for our wedding and they were absolutely amazing. Even our on site wedding coordinator who said that most bands are fussy said that JBB was the classiest and most professional band she had ever worked with. We had a couple of special requests but mostly just told them to play whatever got people dancing and people were dancing all night! My husband loves Dave Matthews so they played a Dave song and they sounded great! Jon was so nice, friendly and easy to work with, I highly recommend them!

I am typically skeptical of 5 star reviews, but this rating accurately captures my experience with this band. My husband and I are serious music lovers and my husband sings in a band so we had very high expectations for our wedding band. We did not want it to be cookie cutter and we got exactly what we were looking for. Jon Bates Band is a great balance of providing you with the wedding essentials while also being true musicians/performers. You can tell they are fully enjoying themselves. They greatly exceed all expectations we had. Our guests continuously rave about how great they were. They were delightful to work with-so responsive to us. You can trust that they will play what they play best. And they are also very responsive to learning songs and taking requests. The music sounded awesome and people were dancing from the beginning of the reception until an hour after it was supposed to end. They were happy to extend their contract an extra hour. We had an Adele song as our first dance and the female vocalist did an amazing job which is incredibly hard to do. We have friends whose wedding bands were more than twice and even three times the price and not as good as Jon Bates Band. They were one of the best choices we made in our wedding planning process. You can rest easy if you book this band.

We hired the Jon Bates band for our wedding and they were amazing. There was a big debate between a DJ and a band; we couldn't have made a better choice. Everyone was up dancing and having a great time. Our relatives and friends were still commenting on how great the band was weeks after the wedding.

Jon was great getting us set up for the big day and was responsive to all our special requests. He was one of the easiest vendors to work with during our entire wedding planning process. We highly suggest hiring this band for your special day.

Jon Bates and his musicians were absolutely fabulous. My fiancé and I are both musicians (along with many of our friends and colleagues who attended the wedding), so live music was a very important part of our reception. Jon was excellent with communicating before the event. Any questions or concerns that I had were promptly addressed. There were several songs that I had requested that were not listed on the group's song list, and they were able to perform all of our extra requests.
The Jon Bate's Band kept people on the dance floor all night long. Even at the very end of the night, the dance floor was so full that we decided to extend the reception. And the group was very flexible, when we came up to them 10 minutes before the planned end of the night and asked them to stay longer so that people could continue dancing. We received SO many compliments on the music (which coming from other musicians who we know to be judgmental, we were very pleased), and heard over and over again what a great time everyone had, even weeks after the event. I would highly recommend The Jon Bates Band.

We booked The Jon Bates Band without ever hearing them live before our wedding, and we were pleasantly surprised. Jon was easy to work with and was open to our ideas and requests. He was also very helpful in making decisions about ceremony music etc. The band has a way of interpreting songs so that they still sound like the original, but not like a cheesy cover band. Many of our guests commented on how great they were. I definitely recommend using them for your wedding!

The most amazing wedding band with the most incredible ability to stay flexible, fun and most importantly kind. Jon will respond to ALL of your e-mails in record time and he will answer each of your questions with thorough and thoughtful explanations. He and his band are, simply, THE BEST. They learned four new songs for our reception, arrived early to set up and made sure our ceremony had sound. They also looked great and they made music that inspired EVERYONE to be on the dance floor (seriously, no one took pictures since they were all dancing!). If you are considering a band for your wedding, I'll save you some time...just book the Jon Bates Band. Now you can go on to worrying about the 10,000 other things related to your wedding. With the Jon Bates Band you won't have to worry about 1st Class Entertainment because they are it, in spades. The Jon Bates Band is not "A Wedding Band" they are a band. Which means great musicians and vocalists that have a wonderful chemistry and ability to entertain. My wife and I could not have been happier having chosen The Jon Bates Band for our wedding. They entertained us and our guests, young and old. The band was so flexible in their ability to perform 2 lesser known songs, 1 for our first dance and 1 for the father/bride dance. They did a great job and we thoroughly enjoyed their renditions. Our review is a perfect 5.0/5.0 and they are in fact that, a perfect band for an important occasion. I didn't expect people to approach me during the wedding commenting so highly on the band, some comments like "this is the best band I've ever heard at a wedding", "they are great entertainers" & "where did you find them?". The accolades go on and on, the price is a great value for what they deliver, can't wait for an excuse to book them again.

I am a tough critic when it comes to music and when it came to picking a live band for our wedding day, I knew it would not be easy. We looked around A LOT. However, it only took one visit to see the Jon Bates Band perform, to calm all of my worries. I said "can you bring it?" ( yes, I really did say that ) and they said " oh, we can bring it!". Well, they did. They rocked the house. It was an unforgettable evening due largely in part to the great performances put on that night by this band. We feel so lucky to have found them in a sea of wedding bands or any bands for that matter. Their energy, versatility and willingness to learn and then perfectly perform new material was just awesome. I cannot say enough about them, but I will say that our dance floor was packed from our first to our last song and that really says it all.

Want everyone on Long Island to know that this band is wonderful. I believe that adding live music to the wedding celebration was a great decision. The band was tight and everyone had a fantastic time on the dance floor.

Jon and I spoke a few times before the event and he was able to get a feel for the type of music we wanted and that was all we needed to do. Really can\'t say enough about how talented these guys are and how much they added to a fun memorable night.

One last thing - they were able to perform a cover a Wilco song as our first dance and it was done perfectly.

The Jon Bates band was exactly what we were looking for on Martha's Vineyard for our wedding reception and wedding music. The Jon Bates Band blew us away on our wedding day. All of the musicians are incredibly talented, you almost forget it's live because they sound like the recorded version of a song (or better)! I cannot say enough wonderful things about the Jon Bates Band!! My guests are still talking about how wonderful the music was. We were literally up dancing the entire time. Jon was very accommodating. There were a few songs that I wanted to originals to be played, and he had no problem with that. Steve's (lead singer) voice blew me away, and their rendition of most songs were better than the originals. Like I said- I can't say enough good things!!

The Jon Bates Band far exceeded our expectations! Jon was very easy to work with, and the band even learned a new song for our father daughter dance. The Jon Bates Band was incredible! We had such a hard time with other bands we tried to contract and were strung along for months at the height of everything I was told with 8 months left until my wedding that the band we thought we had was unavailable (all this while my Grandmother was sick in the hospital) I called the Jon Bates Band and told them the situation and they couldn't have been more professional. They told me they had the date available and not to worry about a thing until after my Grandmother's Funeral Services. They were so easy to work with and made all of our requests a possibility. Our wedding song was by Van Morrison and the song sounded just like the recording if not BETTER! I love the Jon Bates Band! And if you have any inclination to hire them for your wedding or event I would strongly encourage you to do so!

Let me start by saying that the band was the most important part of our wedding planning for us. Fortunately we made an great choice and the Jon Bates Band was far and away the best vendor we had hired. The dance floor was packed, the sound was great and they nailed every song- and believe me, we had them all over the place with jazz, funk, pop, hip hop... they did it all and were even willing to learn songs they didn't already know.
Aside from actually performing well, Jon was a pleasure to work with, he was just so kind. He was always VERY quick to respond to any questions I had, no matter how many or how trivial. I felt comfortable and confidant going into the wedding and when the festivities began... there was nothing left to do but dance.
Believe me, I'm not a big review writer, in fact this is my first vendor review at all, but if you are looking for an amzing band look no further, our guests are still talking about them.

Jon was an absolute pleasure to deal with throughout the entire wedding process, and the music at our reception was great. Short version: The Jon Bates Band is awesome and we could not imagine our wedding without them.

Long version: The Jon Bates Band were not only one of the best elements of our wedding, but they were incredibly cool people too. We crashed an event to check them out a couple months before our wedding and just knew they were perfect. (Adding to their coolness: They kinda helped us crash that event. (Btw, it’s prolly important to point out that that event was NOT a wedding. ;-)) They were friendly and generous and relaxed when we met them, and they answered all of my father-in-law’s music questions perfectly. (He’s the music snob, and he was paying, so what he thought was realllly important.)
They played everything we asked them to play, but we didn’t overdo this, b/c we knew from hearing them -- and from speaking with them -- that their instincts were perfectly aligned with our own. From the very first two songs -- my wife and i started with a slower song and then, by request, had them transition directly into a high-energy uptempo song -- the band owned the room. The moment we switched to the uptempo song the dance floor overflowed and never emptied again. Everyone -- everyone!!! -- danced.
I get giddy just thinking about it.

I cannot recommend the Jon Bates Band strongly enough. I have performed with many wedding bands over the years and have both performed with and witnessed many bands that simply do not deliver what they show customers during auditions and taped presentations. JON BATES DELIVERS!!!!! The band's repertoire is diverse and eclectic; however, they do not suffer from a common affliction among most wedding/corporate acts. In other words, they do not perform many different styles of music, but only perform certain styles well. The entire evening of music and every style of music from Jon Bates is first class. Their stage presentation is highly entertaining and professional. Also, the quality of their sound equipment is exemplary (you should not overlook this aspect when considering your band). As a working musician I had high expectations and certain requirements that would be challenging for most bands. Once again, Jon Bates Delivers! Do yourself a favor and book them. My guests are still talking about their performance and so will yours.

This group is awesome. The quality of the music is fantastic, they are excellent performers, and they know how to work a wedding. We changed our mind for our first song pretty late in the game and they had no complaints. We had no clue what songs to use for the ceremony and they had excellent suggestions. This band made everything easy for us and got the entire guest list dancing!!

They have so much variety, from Motown to classics to rock to jazz to current pop etc.!You know the wedding band is great when everyone mentions after the wedding "man, that band was awesome!"

They are not inexpensive, but their price without doubt reflects their quality and experience. You won't go wrong with this band for your wedding (or other event!)

We had enjoyed the Jon Bates Band at my brother's wedding back in 2008, so they were a no-brainer when we started planning our wedding. From start to finish, Jon and his crew were consummate professionals, providing friendly and timely correspondence in the months and weeks leading up to the big day, and playing their hearts out at the reception. The band will work with you on any special requests you might have (songs, announcements, band arrangement/number of performers) but are also fine taking the reins if you don't want to worry about setlists or anything like that. They keep their setlist updated with current hits but have a strong catalog from the past 60 years or so. Our dance floor was crowded for pretty much the whole night, and for weeks after the wedding, our guests raved about the energy and talent of the band. Cannot recommend them enough.

Jon Bates was able to meet my every request - from singing "custom lyrics" to a standard song, so playing a specific religious song that my dad wanted, to "cueing" us when to begin our finale to our first dance. He asked what music we listen to and what we personally like, and then actually played it during the night! People were dancing all night long and many remarked how great the band was. We were happy when we saw them play months prior to the wedding, but we were thrilled when they played on our wedding night!

The Jon Bates Band truly made our wedding reception. We had guests ranging from toddlers to their grandparents out on the dance floor, tearing it up to a great and energetic mix. I cannot recommend Jon and his band highly enough! Throughout our wedding we had a saxaphone soloist, a three piece jazz band, then finally the full band, and they were brilliant. They knew exactly what we wanted with minimal guidance from us. The musicians were very talented, the singers had great voices, and they were really nice people too! Everyone at our wedding had a fantastic time, and kept asking us where we found such a great band. Rest assured, with Jon and his band you'll be able to relax, let them do their job, and enjoy yourselves - and that's the whole point isn't it!!

The Jon Bates Band did a wonderful job at our wedding. They were very responsive to not only our musical requests, but also to the general feel of the crowd. They had all of our guests up and dancing all night! Jon was extremely helpful and accomodating, even when we took a while to make up our minds about our first dance song, etc. The band was professional, courteous, and they were a huge part of what made our wedding so much fun!

We actually heard them play at our friends wedding & when we started looking I remembered how much i danced that night. The Jon Bates Band was one of the BEST parts of our wedding. They were amazing!!! They were extrememly professional and knew how to read the crowd. Every song they played was great. I got soooo many compliments on the band. At one point during the night my husband and i were on the dance floor and looked around. No one was sitting down. Everyone was on the dance floor. At one moment i thought i was at a concert, because everyone was facing the band and cheering. Music makes all the difference at an affair. I actually got to sing two songs. One to my grandparents and one to my husband. As a singer, i was unable to practice with the band, but Jon and i spoke a bunch of times and he really put my mind at ease. The songs turned out great! I cannot express enough how wonderful they were. It was money well spent!!!

It can be very hard planning a wedding, especially when there are a lot of vendors involved. For a bride, there is nothing better than working with great vendors who make the process stress free, pleasant and pain-less. The Jon Bates Band was fantastic and such a memorable part of our wedding. Jon worked with me in every way with my song selections and he was always right there when I had a question. What bride could ask for more than that!? They were wonderful.

I can't recommend the Jon Bates band highly enough. They played at my sister's wedding and my wife and I got engaged, we agreed that we had to book them when for our wedding. They play a whole range of music with an energy that got everyone out on the dance floor. Jon is the consummate professional and was a pleasure to deal with throughout the whole process.

They were amazing. Everyone was dancing the entire night. All of the music we requested was played, and they learned a new song for our father daughter dance. They were great.

We loved working with the Jon Bates Band for my daughters wedding. They helped us with the play list, had a few musicians help us with the wedding ceremony, and then played beautifully getting everyone dancing right up through curfew. The band even backed me up when I sang a version of "Cecelia" to my daughter. We had a great experience with the band.

The Jon Bates Band was phenomenal!!! They were a pleasure to work with and the quality of music was outstanding for the cost. The only complaint we heard from our guests was that they wish the band had played longer. I highly recommend them.

The band was great and everyone loved them. They did however completly screw up our opening first dance song. They started the song to soon and they played the complete song instead of stoping where i had told them. Dispite this blunder i would still highly recomend this band. For your opening song if you have a routine planned out for your first dance have them play a cd.
