My husband Zach and I had a great experience from planning to day of for our wedding. Samantha and Ashley followed through with ever request. The food was amazing. The staff was amazing . The venue was beautiful. We can not say how thankful we are for how easy and perfect this process was for our day.

We absolutely loved hosing our wedding reception at the Jayhawk club. The food was amazing, the space was perfect and Samantha was a dream to work with.

The Jayhawk Club is hands down one of the best venues we have worked with from a vendor perspective!

First and most importantly, the staff is ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL! Our experience first started out with Samantha. Samantha is the Sales and Event Manager at the Jayhawk Club, of which her title should be “The Jack Of All Trades, Event Mastermind”. Samantha is the most kind, knowledgable, helpful, and organized person you will every meet! She had all of the information when I needed it and had very quick replies to any emails or questions that arose through the planning process. Samantha knew the entire venue inside and out and was incredibly helpful not only during the planning process, but during the wedding as well! On the day of the wedding we were introduced to Jamie. Jamie did everything food and beverage management wise. She like all of the other staff went above and beyond her duties to assist us in any way possible that we needed. Need an extension cord? She’s running it to you. Have an issue with a DJ not bringing a speaker for ceremony? The girls were problem solving and on it! The day would not have been a success without both Samatha and Jamie!

The venue and property itself is absolutely stunning! Very clean, beautiful facilities that were very well maintained. This venue is one that needs very minimal decor because it is stunning all on it’s own. Can you decorate and have extravagant decor? Absolutely! But for the minimal bride, it is truly stunning and we had several comments all night from the guests on how beautiful it was!

The Jayhawk Club is a beautiful venue with great staff. We've used it several times previously for other Kansas Athletics events and always enjoy our experience. We ended up utilizing all three of their upstairs event spaces for our banquet and silent auction that evening. We had a VIP cocktail hour in the 1968 Room, a standard cocktail hour as well as the silent auction tables in the Lookout Room, and then our main banquet in the Sunflower Room. All three of the rooms are connected with closeable doors which was perfect for our purposes.

The Events Manager, Samantha, was a huge help in our planning process. She is extremely responsive and knowledgeable about the club. We were able to do a site visit to analyze how much space we had to work with, and determine where we wanted to do our inaugural silent auction. The additional tables, linens, and setup were not a problem for Sam and her team. All of our needs were met with ease! Samantha helped us hit it out of the park on all aspects!

The food we chose for the event was very affordable and went over well with all guests. The kids meal of chicken strips and mac and cheese in particular, were WELL received - haha! The fudge chocolate torte was the star of the show for the adult diners! They had decent menu selections for us to choose from, and the multiple bar package choices were perfect for our two bar needs.

We will definitely be back to the Jayhawk Club for our next Lawrence event. The team is awesome, venue is spacious, it's in a good central location, and does a great job representing the Jayhawk brand!
