  Beautiful Venue & Fantastic Staff

  Hotel Roanoke is the most elegant and stunning venue! Our ceremony was in the Garden Courtyard and our reception was in the crystal ballroom. The overall setting of Hotel Roanoke is relaxing and inviting. Our venue was quick to contact us and ensure that we were on the right track with planning. The whole staff was dedicated to excellence and attended to our every need. The dinner was absolutely perfect as well. Our guests loved the venue and the food!

  Beyond Our Expectations

  The Cstering staff and hotel went above ankh beyond our expectations for our wedding. It was set up beautifully! The overall experience was professional, the added personal touches was amazing. Our guest can't strop talking about how the food was! The strolling experience was a hit! Thanks Janet and Hotel Roanoke!

  The Perfect Wedding Venue

  Our winter wedding at the Hotel Roanoke was wonderful! Linwood was excellent throughout the entire process. He took care of all our details and requests, and made sure everything was executed in the way we wanted. The Hotel was a beautiful venue (especially at Christmastime) for all our guests and having our wedding here made is so convenient for our out of town guests. We definitely recommend the Hotel Roanoke for your wedding!

  Linwood was incredible to work with, he is SO responsive, and accommodating. I was at ease through the entire process because I knew he would make sure everything was perfect, and he did. The Hotel Roanoke had absolutely everything under control and everything turned out flawless. The food and service were impeccable, my guests were blown away. Every single room, from the hotel rooms, to the getting ready suites, to the reception space was perfectly decorated, clean, and exceeded our expectations. I could go on and on about how glad I am that we chose the Hotel Roanoke for our event, but the bottom line is, you won't find this level of class and service anywhere else in the Roanoke Valley.

  We absolutely loved having our wedding reception at the Hotel Roanoke. Lauren Walker, was not only professional, but so nice and down to earth to deal with. She responded to all of our requests and helped make our reception perfect. The food was great. We did a stations reception and the options were endless. Any type of food request we had was met. The bartenders were awesome and professional, as well as, the servers. Everyone was a pleasure to deal with. I would recommend anyone having a lot of our-of-town guests book the Hotel Roanoke. Plus, the Crystal Ballroom was beautiful and our pictures are amazing! It was convenient and the service was great!

  We had a fabulous wedding day at the Hotel Roanoke. Lauren, the coordinator, is phenomenal- very responsive and makes sure your day is everything you dreamed. The staff was great, the food was amazing. We don't have anything negative to say about any part of experience!

  Lauren was extremely helpful with anything we needed throughout the planning process. She worked with us to provide gluten free meals, kids meals, and all other aspects of organizing our reception and cocktail hour. I cannot say enough good things about her! The hotel was beautiful and worked well to accommodate our guests. My only disappointment was the bar closing early. My guests were all set to "after party" there but, at the discrepancy of the bartender, they closed early. Other than that, everything went smoothly and we look forward to visiting for our anniversary.

  I choose the Hotel Roanoke because my father was a part of the renovation. When we were kids we use to run around the hotel, scream and shout, and tell ghost stories. I was going to have the wedding in the court yard, but to my luck it rained on my wedding. I instead had it in Azalea room and has the reception in the crystal ballroom. Very beautiful and elegant room. Thanks to Peggy and there wonderful staff I was able to have my a dream wedding. Thank you so much for all your hard work!

  We hosted our ceremony and reception at Hotel Roanoke. The site was perfect. I can tell that they do lots of events because when it was actually time to put everything together, they had it down to a science. I would have appreciated some additional communications in the planning process, but I think that was just because I was a nervous bride, not because they weren't communicating. The food was fantastic. All in all, I think it was the perfect place with great food and everyone had commented how much they enjoyed it (many out of town guests that have never been to Roanoke).

  The Fact that the Cooridnator knew our wedding planner and also worked with our florist made this event smooth sailing every which way. I felt that as if I did not have to stress over anything as much. The food was catered by the Hotel and the basic packages are just a dream, clean, organized and choices are available. We did get a free honeymoon stay in the suite and everything was just stellar. The fact that we got to upgrade(nominal price) to one conference room to the Crystal Ballroom was the biggest suprise ever(was previous booked but was cancelled by other wedding parties). I am so fortunate for this Hotel, and its staff and convienient location for all our guests that traveled to our reception. The space layout was ample, the decor from the Hotel Coordinator was not expected but was a delightful surprize to us. We had so much fun! Oh the Regency Room is a wonderful experience, as well as the rooms I got access to to use for dressing, prepping. I just cant believe how wonderful the Hotel Roanoke was for our Reception.

  The hotel is absolutely beautiful and full of history and the food is wonderful. But I have nothing else nice to say. The double booked my wedding and the lady in charge didnt even have the nerve to tell me. She (Peggy W.) sent multiple contracts and emails to me with the incorrect date, I kept telling her it was wrong and she kept pushing me to sign them with the wrong date and telling me it was fine. I refused and called to complain for weeks and kept getting voicemail til she finally called back and left a voicemail during my work hours which she had and then promptly left for vacation and made her assistant break the news. I agreed to pick a new date and stay with them only because I had already told friends, family, and other vendors that was going to be the location but the battle for responses raged on. Never once did I get a returned phone call or email in the same week that I contacted them and nearly every guest that tried to book a room with our room block was told no such block existed and when we called to complain our guests were being turned away they told us that it had never happened! Then 2 weeks before the wedding they lost $1500 that we had paid them 6 months earlier and charged us for $1800 worth of things that were free with our package! Plus, they charged us $.05 more for everything bc she rounded our estimates...which seems petty but times 250 for food and also drinks plus times the 32% tax and service charge, yes thats right 32% - that adds up. They even charged a gratuity charge at 32% for a wireless mic for the preacher that was $140 and was laid on a table for us to figure out ourselves - was the gratuity for laying it on a table and walking away?
  
  Long story short, I would highly recommend staying the night or weekend and even going out for nice dinner on a special occasion at this hotel, but I wouldn't recommend my worst enemy to throw an event here. I had some absolutely wonderful vendors but Hotel Roanoke was not one of them.
