We truly had an amazing experience and are so grateful for all of the support and care we received. From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations and helped make our wedding day so memorable. The team was professional, attentive, and made sure everything ran smoothly.
A special thank you to the coordinator who assisted us on the day of the wedding. She was absolutely wonderful and made us feel so taken care of. Her hospitality and attention to detail were exceptional.
Even two months later, we’re still talking about how beautiful everything was and how special everyone made us feel. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would absolutely recommend them to any couple.
Thank you again for helping create such unforgettable memories for our special day. -

THATUMD (as we took to calling it) was so helpful, and our wedding was incredible as a result.
I'd particularly like to call out how nice the staff at the event were. I had one of the bartenders all but order me to wait around so that I could take a cocktail to my wife! And we had so many compliments from our friends and family about how courteous and helpful everyone was.
The only downside was that we had to move the event indoors, but even the hotel can't control the weather! But when we did, they made sure that our alternative event space was still beautiful, and everything about the transition was as straightforward as possible.
We appreciate everything they did to make it happen! -

The Hotel at the University of Maryland was the perfect wedding venue for our big day. Everything was absolutely beautiful, from the ceremony space to the reception layout, and our guests are still talking about how stunning it all was.
But the true highlight was working with Kelsey Lepore, the Catering Sales Manager. I don’t have anything but kind words to say about her. Kelsey was incredibly sweet, attentive, and genuinely invested in making our day flawless. She made things happen, handled every detail with so much care, and was beyond accommodating throughout the entire process. Her professionalism and kindness made planning feel effortless.
If you’re looking for an amazing all inclusive venue paired with exceptional support, I cannot recommend The Hotel at UMD enough. -

Kelsey and the team at The Hotel at UMD were a dream to work with from the very beginning to after the wedding was over and we checked out the hotel.
Kelsey was always responsive, transparent, friendly. I could not have wanted more from a venue coordinator. She worked flawlessly with myself and my planner. She provided her own insight when asked and was sure to make sure I got everything to fit my vision. Kelsey truly went above and beyond to my sure the day went off with out a hitch. She had a solution for everything.
The hotel itself is beautiful and I love the way the wedding packages are assembled. The food was delicious and what you taste at the your initial tasting IS what your guests are served. My guests are still telling me how much they enjoyed the food.
This is the only venue I toured and once I saw everything I didn't need to see anywhere else. My day was perfect and I would recommend The Hotel at UMD to anyone getting married in this area. -

I began planning my wedding August 2024. I was referred to the hotel by my cousin. When I reached out, Kelsey responded right away by email. She sent me some information about the venue and offered that I come in for a tour.
From the moment I met Kelsey I knew that I was going to have my wedding at this hotel. She was one of the kindest people I’ve had the pleasure of working with. Our goal was to have a rooftop wedding on 52525 At 5. She was very detailed and even explained to us the process for a back up plan for weather. At this point we had toured 6 venues so we had to make a list of pros and cons.
We made a decision right away to sign the contract and go with the hotel based on Kelsey.
Throughout the months ahead, whenever I reached out to her she responded right away. She worked with my wedding coordinator to ensure that my day was stress free.
My wedding was nothing short of amazing! The food, the staff, the servers, the check-in process,… You name it everything was outstanding! We had family come in from all over and the hotel staff was truly accommodating to us. The rooftop view for my sunset wedding was impeccable. I could not have asked for a better experience.
The restaurants in the hotel have really good food. There are several options which was perfect for our picky eaters. The hotel is metro accessible and directly across the street from the University.
The 7 on 7 space is a gorgeous space to have any event but especially a wedding.
Thank you to the entire support staff who participated in any way throughout this process. The experience was Top Tier and we truly appreciate it. -

The event/wedding coordinator Kelsey Lepore was awesome. She was so effortlessly detailed. Communicated clearly, and her follow-ups were exactly what we expected.
Needless to say the day of our wedding, everything was flawless!! the ballroom was beautiful! the table setting was so pretty! the food was magnificent! I hope we will have another event with the same event manger in the future1 -

I recently had the pleasure of photographing a fantastic wedding at The Hotel at The University of Maryland. The planning process for my couple was a breeze thanks to manager Kelsey Lapore. She has tons of experience, is super friendly, professional and detail oriented. The Hotel is a sleek, modern and sophisticated place for a wedding. The luxurious getting ready suite had plenty of room for the large bridal party. The rooftop ballroom and outdoor terrace were just perfect for beautiful pictures. When I think back to my sister’s wedding day a few months ago at the Hotel at the University of Maryland, the three Es immediately come to mind. EXCELLENT! EXCEPTIONAL! EXEMPLARY!
The venue was beautiful, but the event itself was beyond fabulous and exceeded my expectations in large part due to the dedication of senior catering sales manager Kelsey Lepore.
With just sixth months to plan and execute my sister’s dream wedding, the Hotel at UMD offered the ambience we wanted and literally checked all the boxes. The staff were simply first-class, from the caterer to the service staff to the front desk. Each guest was enveloped in an elegance that had them reminiscing with family and friends’ weeks after the wedding.
There are truly just not enough superlatives to describe the phenomenal experience we had at the Hotel at the University of Maryland but kudos to Kelsey for helping to make it a resounding success. If a detail mattered to me, it mattered to Kelsey and that was one of her genuine attributes that impressed me the most. She is awesome and one of the DMVs premier catering managers who is without question worth her weight in gold.

The Perfect Day!
Getting married at The Hotel was the best decision we could’ve made. From the second we met Kelsey during our tour, we knew we (and our wedding day as a whole) were in good hands. Everyone at The Hotel was professional, kind, and shared in our excitement every step of the way. I could tell immediately they had done plenty of weddings before and everyone knew what they were doing. Everything went off without a hitch. The rooftop where we held our reception was beautiful. It was spacious and nicely laid out where it never felt too packed even with our 130+ guests. Best Decision EVER
My husband and I had our wedding on 9/28/2024 at The Hotel at University of Maryland. From the very first meeting with Kelsey, we knew we made the right choice for our wedding venue! There are not enough words to describe how phenomenal she was through the entire process! Her compassionate and caring nature, attention to detail, and organizational skills made what many brides feel to be a stressful process, quite smooth and seamless! From the beginning, meeting and chatting with Kelsey about all of the logistics felt like a natural conversation I was having with my sisters! She responded to emails and text messages in the evenings, weekends, and even while she was out sick! Her kind spirit and nature kept me grounded the week and day of the wedding as she continuously assured me that everything was going to be perfect. Sure enough, it rained every day leading up to the wedding and every day after, but the day of the wedding, it was ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL and sunny! From the moment we checked in on Friday until we checked out on Sunday, all of the team members from front desk to banquets were wonderfully helpful and pleasant! -

I got married here on August 24, 2024 and it was a literal dream come true. I can’t rave enough about Kelsey’s ability to execute my dream wedding. 10/10 professionalism, attention to detail, communication and day execution. I cannot thank Kelsey Lepore enough for the awesome experience that she provided me and my family and my now husband! Its beyonds words…I had the BEST Wedding Event Coordinator for my reception.She met every expectation and was very flexible and professional at all times. The HOTEL was a nice option however, once I met her and she gave me a tour SHE sealed the deal for me! You dont often find people like her. She just was the perfect person to help organize my reception. Kelsey’s hard work and dedication to her job stood out in so many ways. I could not have asked for a better experience! Kelsey Lapore was our event catering point of contact and was the epitome of professionalism and an absolute joy to work with! She had wonderful suggestions and very responsive to all my questions/concerns/changes. She ensured every detail of our event was taken care of! The day of the event, we needed to make some slight adjustments and I was accommodated without hesitation! Our banquet Captain Rayon, Derrick (helped move our tables/seating), the onsite audio/visual team, and Tera who assisted in Kelsey’s absence the day of the event were absolutely wonderful and made the adjustments to ensure we were satisfied! The venue is gorgeous!! Our event was held on the penthouse level (Top of the 7’s) which has a spectacular view with naturally beautiful aesthetics!! If you are planning an event and need an elegant setting for any occasion, with impeccable customer service, I highly recommend The Hotel @ UMD!! We selected this venue 10 months prior to the wedding. Kelsey was extremely responsive and helpful with making our wedding seamless. She attended to our needs throughout the process in order to make our wedding flawless. She took our feedback and provided other options for any component of the wedding day. She also took copious notes for our tasting as well. Every guest was impressed with the venue, the food and exceptional customer service. I did hire a day of planner but my main interaction was with Kelsey for 8 months. HIGHLY RECOMMEND "THE HOTEL" !!! THANK YOU KELSEY FOR EVERYTHING!!!! -

My husband and I had 30 days to plan the wedding of our dreams. I was adamant that I wanted a rooftop venue for a Black-Tie affair. He suggested we check out this venue and from the moment we walked in the office, Kelsey was phenomenal! She welcomed us with open arms and instantly made us feel like we had come to the RIGHT place! We booked immediately as a result of her warm professional demeanor.
The day of was incredible! The catering team was very accommodating to us and the guests; the food was DELICIOUS! People were saying "this was the best food I've ever tasted at a wedding." We also got feedback about the organization of the event and how everything flowed beautifully. Kelsey was by our side from start to finish! The venue was beautiful - very nice and clean. Our guests said that this was the best wedding they'd ever been to! Our suite was nice and spacious - yet very cozy. Needless to say, we are very pleased and looking forward to patronizing again! We could not have done this without Kelsey and her team! -

Picture Perfect
Kelsey was the main reason my wife and I had an stress-free wedding. From day 1 Kelsey took the time to understand our vision and hear our wishes. She went above and beyond to ensure we had the exact decor, set up, and food we wanted. We had a little mishap with our initial tasting and Kelsey ensured that our 2nd tasting was absolutely perfect. Anytime an issue arose, she was quick to resolve it which made our experience in a high stress time much easier. We felt confident that Kelsey would be able to resolve anything the day of and ensure the night went perfect. Sure enough, from the morning of, Kelsey was attentive, responsive, and right there. She even grabbed us during our reception while our guests were pulling us to make sure we ate our dinner which we were so grateful for! The night couldn’t have been more perfect! -

I am writing to thank and commend Kelsey Lepore at Hotel UMD in College Park, Maryland. My wife and I were married at Hotel UMD on October 20, 2023 and it was a dream come true. Everything from the venue to the food and most importantly, the customer service was excellent and top tier. During our wedding and immediately after, I asked my wife about the day. She expressed pure joy and specifically mentioned Kelsey’s leadership and customer service. As an example, as my wife was about to enter the room for her grand entrance, she realized that she was missing her bridal bouquet. Kelsey immediately ran up stairs, found the bouquet and gave it to my wife in time for her entrance. This really speaks to Kelsey’s work ethic and stellar customer service over the entire planning process. She was very responsive, went above and beyond, and made our day a moment of a lifetime. We are so grateful for an excellent experience and would highly recommend Kelsey and Hotel UMD!!! -

My husband and I started our planning a year ago. We met with Kelsey, The Hotels Senior Catering Sales Manager and immediately knew this venue was where we were destined to celebrate our big day. The Hotel is not only beautiful, the staff is accommodating. Kelsey was patient, kind and explained options thoroughly with all the questions we had. She is such a pleasant and fun person. It's refreshing to meet people who understand how the couple may be feeling, and be able to soothe any worries or anxiety. She consistently saw to any issues that arose, which were few, that they were handled. On the day of our reception our families were in awe of the beauty of The Hotel, but they raved mostly about the customer service provided by Jaime, our bartender, and Maurice the banquet captain, along with his staff. The food was delicious, and the drinks were crafted perfectly, namely our signature drinks. One knows a good time has been had when your family is still talking about the wonderful experience.
Words cannot express enough how our big day was not only elegant and fun but worry free. We are so very grateful -

We had our wedding reception in January 2023 in The Hotel's penthouse suite. From the beginning, The Hotel at UMD was amazing! They were flexible with my crazy work schedule when it came to scheduling tours or tastings. Every detail that I imagined was brought to life. We worked very closely with Kelsey Lepore who was incredible! She is extremely organized, professional, and took time to make sure that our day was more then perfect- I could go on and on about how wonderful she is! I would HIGHLY recommend this venue to anyone. Our wedding couldn't have been as perfect as it was with out them! -

The wedding of our dreams
Booking The Hotel at the University of Maryland for our wedding was one of the best decisions we could have ever made. We were truly impressed by the beautiful hotel lobby, well-appointed lobby bar, and luxury hotel accommodations. Our wedding was held on November 11, 2022. We hosted our rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception at the Hotel. The Hotel is beautiful. However, it was the warm and friendly greeting we received during our initial site tour from Kelsey Lepore, the catering sales manager that sealed the deal for us. At the end of our tour, she even presented us with a handwritten personalized thank you card. Every time we spoke or met in person, she was so attentive to all of our needs and made our wedding planning process so smooth. Kelsey made us feel like family, always responded to our emails/calls within a timely manner, and made sure our wedding day went off without a hitch. Initially, we wanted to have our wedding on the penthouse level terrace. However, there was an 80% chance of rain for our big day. As predicted, it rained all day on the day of our wedding. Kelsey had a rain plan in place and helped us envision a beautiful wedding ceremony indoors and gorgeous reception on the Penthouse level. Kelsey's attention to detail is unmatched. She made sure everything was perfect for our reception even down to the table linen. Kelsey also assisted us with booking the presidential suite for my husband and I. Which has outstanding views of the University of MD campus. It was a great suite to get ready in with my bridesmaids, entertain guests, and end our night as newlyweds. At the end of the night, we came back to the presidential suite where Kelsey left us a bottle of champagne, chocolate covered strawberries, and handwritten card with well wishes. She is truly an asset to the Hotel at the University of Maryland. If you are looking for a beautiful wedding venue with delicious food, outstanding staff and an amazing catering manager look no further. Our guests could not stop talking about our wedding. They said that it was one of the best weddings they had attended in a long time and that the food, signature cocktails and service at the reception were amazing. Special thanks out to Marcus, Ezi and Micheal at the front desk. They were so friendly, very helpful and made sure all of our guests received the welcome bags we created. Thank you Kelsey and The Hotel at the University of Maryland for the wedding of our dreams! My husband and I look forward to visiting again in the year to come, especially to enjoy the amazing spa. -

The perfect venue for our reception!
We got married at Memorial Chapel and had our cocktail hour and reception in the penthouse of The Hotel and it was perfect! Kelsey was amazing from the beginning and made our vision come to light. It's obvious she's passionate about what she does and truly cares about not only the venue but the experience for the bride, groom and all of our guests! Her attention to detail was on point and the day ran so smoothly. I didn't have a single question she couldn't answer and she really put my mind at ease. She even put me in contact with other brides that were married at The Hotel so I could ask them questions as well! The Hotel is a beautiful venue and it made it really easy on our guests that wanted to stay the night. The groom was able to get ready with all of his groomsmen in our honeymoon suite and I got ready at The Spa with my bridesmaids. I highly recommend The Spa for the morning of, we had plenty of space to spread out and the hair and makeup artists had stations to get everyone ready. Not to mention it's a beautiful backdrop for getting ready photos.
Overall, we highly recommend The Hotel and we can't thank Kelsey enough for all of the work she put in to make the wedding planning process so much easier and our day perfect! -

I got married at the Hotel UMD in July 2022, and was fortunate enough to work with Kelsey Lepore, the Catering Sales Manager. She was INCREDIBLE! I was a very anxious bride, and she eased all of my worries from the very beginning- planning a year out- to the day of. She stayed in close contact throughout the entire process (over a year of back and forth). Whether by email or phone- I could always reach her. She would answer all of my questions one by one (and there were a lot!), and she would remain so patient, kind and helpful. She worked with my busy work schedule, and always made time for me during the wedding plan process. She literally created the dream wedding for my husband and I. Kelsey remained patient with me being an anxious bride, and even answered emails from my mother, who was also so involved in the planning process. Kelsey made sure everything was perfect, and I mean everything. She made sure that the food was exactly what we wanted at our food tasting. She made sure the lighting was perfect for the reception ballroom. She made sure the napkins were folded exactly the way we wanted them. She made sure all the vendors were contacted and knew details for the day of. She worked closely with our planner to make sure everything was perfect. The day before the wedding, she even met up with us at the Hotel to collect any day of items so that we wouldn't have to worry about it on our wedding day. She responded to my worried emails and calls even after hours on some days. She truly goes above and beyond and is excellent at what she does. She would always assure me that everything was fine and was going to be perfect, and it was!!
A couple of days before the wedding, College Park got hit with a major storm that left many power outages around the area. I had a family member who worried me the day before the wedding saying she didn't think The Hotel would be equipped to handle a large reception (for 200 guests) given the surrounding power outages in the area. She asked me the day before the wedding, "Do you have a plan B if they can't accommodate your reception due to the storm?" Firstly, Now why would she say this to an already nervous bride?! Secondly, boy was she wrong! The Hotel was more than prepared and equipped and they were functioning as if no storm had ever hit the area. No glitches, no issues. After hearing my cousin's concerns, I immediately called Kelsey full of fear that we would have issues. Kelsey assured me that everything would be just fine, and she was 100% right. Kelsey remained so involved, and was even there with us literally from start to finish to make sure things were perfect for the reception! She even went as far as to help me slip off my heels to put on my dancing shoes for the reception and made SURE the bride and groom were able to actually eat our dinner. Don't even get me started on the food! It is delicious! Our guests couldn't stop raving about our venue and the food at the Hotel UMD. The wedding was perfect, and I am so happy that we picked this venue. It is gorgeous and modern and the staff are incredible. We ended up having a large wedding block and had many guests stay the night, and all of our guests were raving about the rooms and the excellent service. We are three months out from our wedding day, and all of our guests to this day keep telling us how amazing the wedding was, and we attribute that to the venue and the amazing staff, especially Kelsey. If you are considering having your wedding at the Hotel UMD, DO IT! It'll be one of the best decisions you'll ever make. Thank you Kelsey Lepore and thank you Hotel UMD for creating our dream wedding. We are forever grateful and appreciative of your care, attention to detail and excellent service!

We were absolutely blown away by The Hotel. We worked with Kelsey, the Catering Sales Manager throughout the planning process and everything was exceptional. Kelsey worked with us to find a package that not only exceeded our expectations, but also one that worked with our budget. She helped us set up our room block, put our menu together, choose signature cocktails and come up with the perfect room configuration in the Top of the 7s ballroom to meet our needs, based on our projected guest count. Kelsey was there to chat through updates, changes and last minute details leading up to the big day. I kid you not, I was WORRY FREE when our wedding weekend began and got to enjoy every last minute of it, which was so important to me. Our families and friends are still raving about how delicious the food was, how perfect the event space was and how fantastic the entire weekend ended up being. I thought people were just being nice when they told me our wedding was the best they’ve ever been to, but they are still talking about it a month later. We hosted the entire weekend there and guests were so pleased with the convenience of it all! Planning the wedding with Kelsey made things easy and fun. I cannot recommend it enough - you will not regret having your big day at this elegant, classy and very conveniently located hotel! -

Best wedding ever
I can’t say enough incredible things about the Hotel at the University of Maryland. From the beginning of time, it was no secret that I struggled with planning a wedding, especially in an area I did not know much about (I have no ties to University of Maryland or College Park). Décor, flowers, fancy invitations, food, etc… it’s just not my thing. But I still can be picky with others making decisions. Kelsey, the event coordinator, made everything so incredibly easy. She was able to paint a picture of a beautiful weekend, with amazing food, fun, and love. And it was just that…
I got married June 11 and had our guests spend the weekend (Friday – Sunday). We did the entire wedding at the hotel. Upon arrival we were greeted so pleasantly. They even allowed us to check in early and store everything for the weekend in a conference room. We did welcome bags and the hotel made sure every single guest received one even though we told them it wasn’t a big deal. They went completely above and beyond from start to finish of the weekend.
Friday night was a rehearsal dinner of about 35 people followed by Welcome Drinks for everyone invited to the wedding at the hotel bar (ended up being about 120 people). We did a charcuterie board and a 3 hour open bar for all. It was incredibly reasonably priced, and there was not one issue! We didn’t plan much décor, but the hotel made the bar area look GORGEOUS. What a way to kick off a weekend of fun!
Saturday was a dream. We woke up and my 8 bridesmaids and I headed to the spa to get ready. We hired an outside group to come in for hair and makeup (although if it was an option, we would have preferred the hotel spa staff). The spa staff made everything so fun. Shanna, Kendra, and their team are incredible!!! Not to mention the pictures in the BEAUTIFUL spa turned out perfectly.
There was only one thing that was hanging over our heads the day of the wedding… the rain! We were scheduled for 70% rain the day of the wedding. It rained and rained and rained all morning. Checking the radar, it looked like the rain would stop in the afternoon. The hotel staff was incredibly flexible and kind. They knew how badly we wanted to make outside work (although the inside setup they had was beautiful as well). For the first time ever, the weather forecast was right! It stopped raining and we were able to do the wedding outside. And O-M-G was it beautiful. I will never forget turning the corner and walking down the aisle with 165 of our closest friends watching. Everything from the chair set up to the views were perfect. There was so much incredible energy on that rooftop, and we owe most of that to the hotel staff & planners. The staff was so gracious, attentive, and genuinely happy to be there. They didn’t make it feel like they were there for a shift (like you may feel at some restaurants). They truly wanted everything to go right for complete strangers. It was incredible. From the amazing cocktail hour with live music to the dinner and dancing, the night was perfect. The staff did not have to, but they always had eyes on my husband and I to ensure we were happy. And we were SO happy!! We ended the evening down at the hotel bar. I would’ve thought only a few people would come to the after party, but almost the whole wedding showed up. The bartenders were such troopers. It was a rowdy crowd and a late night for them… they had nothing but the best attitude. When the night ended, my husband and I went up to our suite… there we found some appetizers from the wedding for a late-night snack. It was so thoughtful, and we were starving!
We ended the weekend with bagels and coffee. We asked to have a bartender there for anyone who was staying for a little while… we had way more people stay than expected! Every guest that left the hotel left with such a great experience. Many comments we heard from our guests were “food was incredible,” “bar & drinks were the best they had ever had at a wedding,” and “they loved staying for the weekend without ever having to drive.” We also heard how wonderful the rooms, staff, and location were.
A huge thank you to the Hotel at the University of Maryland for the best weekend of our lives! We can never repay the staff for their selflessness and graciousness. Do yourself a favor… get married here ASAP!

It’s been roughly a month since we tied the knot and our family and friends are still raving about how much of a great experience they had being guests at our wedding. We wanted to host our ceremony and reception in a hotel to mitigate a lot of traveling, especially with us having an open bar. Our venue manager, Kelsey, was amazing and responsive through the entire process. Not only did she answer many of our questions, but she went above and beyond to make our wedding day stress-free. We couldn’t recommend this venue enough. -

Amazing Experience!
We cannot say enough great things about The Hotel at The University of Maryland and their wonderful staff! We were looking for a venue that allowed for guests to remain in the same location for our wedding weekend. From room accommodations to taste testing to the multiple site visits, everyone at the hotel was so amazing! Special shout-out to Sesyle and Kelsey for being so responsive. Kelsey has continued to remain so responsive as my husband and I prepare to celebrate our anniversary with a special stay at this amazing hotel.
P.S. The hotel has amazing suites that are prefect for a bridal ready room floral display! -

I couldn't imagine another venue achieving this level of success!
The Hotel served as our location for a full wedding weekend. We hosted everything at the property from the rehearsal on Friday to brunch on Sunday. Following the rehearsal dinner, a great way to set the tone was the welcome reception for our visiting guests. With about 60 rooms occupied by our group at the Hotel, this was a great way to get the party started. On Saturday, the gorgeous spa was the perfect location for the bridal party to do their hair and make-up and there were so many great settings for pictures. The ceremony and reception were on the penthouse with amazing panoramic views. Following the reception, we congregated for the after-party and bid everyone a farewell with brunch Sunday morning. The hotel is amazing with limitless opportunities for changing venues without leaving the confines of the property. Having everything hosted at the hotel allowed our guests to truly spend quality time together and not have to worry about traveling anywhere. Because the event spaces are so well appointed, we didn't have to spend a lot of extra money trying to dress it up with flowers and decorations.
But the physical attributes only tell part of the story.
The employees at this hotel really made the difference. I had very high expectations and I was confident that they would do a good job, but I had no idea they could or would far exceed my expectations. Every single employee executed their role with a genuine and caring attitude. It was very clear and truly humbling that this event seemed to be as important to them as it was to me. We had approximately 170 people for the wedding and every last one of them commented on what a great experience they had. Many had individual encounters where the staff went far beyond the call of duty to ensure they were comfortable and enjoying their experience.
As father of the bride, I couldn't be happier. That's a tall order when hosting your daughter's wedding. I am forever grateful to this team as they contributed significantly to making this one of the happiest days of our lives! -

Amazing venue!
My husband and I decided on a small wedding so after looking over the venue options in the hotel we decided to use the presidential suite for our ceremony and cocktail hour. The suite is amazing! 1800 Square feet plus an 800 square-foot balcony. Two-story living room, dining room, billiards room, amazing bedroom and bathrooms and full kitchen was perfect for us. Linda the general manager for the hotel was great. After the ceremony and cocktail hour we we had everyone for dinner at Old Maryland Grill in the Belvedere room. The food was amazing and was the perfect intimate setting for our smaller wedding. At Old Maryland Grill everyone was great, from Dru the private party manager, and mangers Brian and Venus to the General manager Steve, and our server Amanda! We can not thank them enough! It was a perfect evening and also was a great place for the breakfast the day after for our guests and family also staying in the Hotel at University of Maryland! -

There were certainly other venues that I could have chosen, but I chose The Hotel because of Kelsey Lepore. She was knowledgeable and offered suggestions throughout the entire process. While my wedding was a small event, Kelsey and her team gave it the same attention and professionalism as if it were a large event. The Hotel was flexible and able to accommodate my requests. I truly appreciate all of the care and attention that my wedding was given and definitely recommend Kelsey and The Hotel to others for events as well as for overnight stays. I loved the room. It was very clean, and the bed was comfortable. Thank you all.

Amazing Wedding Venue
I’m so glad that I picked The Hotel @ UMD as our wedding venue. Kelsey was amazing as soon as she reached out from this app to coordinate the tour. Kelsey made the whole experience easy and she was very professional yet personable. When there was a mixup on someone else’s part, Kelsey was on it and Selsey was very flexible and accommodating to our needs since the fault was not ours (which was pleasing to hear). The venue is so spacious and modern with all the decor. I had my wedding in a ballroom and reception on the top floor (Top of the 7s). Another thing I would add that was amazing…was the food! All of our guests and wedding party raved about the hors d'oeuvre and entrees and how delicious it was. Overall, I would highly recommend this venue for a wedding or party. -

Loved this place for my wedding!
I got married in May 2022 and my wife and I fell in love with The Hotel from the first day we were given a tour. Kelsey was our rep and she was amazing from day 1, all the way to post wedding. She was extremely helpful and flexible. She assisted in bringing our vision to life and we were truly felt like a priority. This venue is amazing for wedding and/or reception. I recommend this venue if you want an elegant and beautiful experience. -

We got married at Memorial Chapel on UMD's campus (both UMD alumni) and wanted a reception venue that was conveniently located from the ceremony. The Hotel stood out compared to other College Park, MD options. Overall, the space is beautiful - our guests were so impressed with the venue spaces (cocktail hour, reception, after party) and the hotel rooms. Throughout our planning process, we struggled with inconsistent information and a lack of responsiveness from the sales reps. However, the day of the wedding went extremely smoothly (other than the parking validations. Barely any of the stickers worked and our guests were asked to pay $24 each to get out of the parking garage) and we had a wonderful time. Our recommendation is to stay on top of your Hotel reps throughout the process and keep a record of every detail, and you will end up very happy with your wedding day!
