Wonderful Experience Planning Our Wedding
So far, our experience with the Hilton Garden Inn in Troy, NY has been fantastic. The staff has been incredibly friendly, professional, and attentive, and the venue is clean and always welcoming.
The food tasting was beautifully presented and well executed, and everything we tried was delicious. Throughout the planning process, the team has been very accommodating and quick to respond to emails, making everything feel easy and stress-free.

Best Venue in the Capital Region
We had our wedding at the Hilton Garden Inn in Troy in April 2026 and genuinely could not have been happier with our experience. We chose it originally because we wanted a hotel venue where our out-of-town guests could stay on-site and it ended up being one of the best decisions we made during wedding planning. The convenience of having everyone together in one place made the whole weekend feel longer and more relaxed — one of our favorite memories is hanging out at the hotel bar after both the rehearsal and reception ended and getting extra time with our friends and family instead of immediately saying goodbye.
The staff went above and beyond from start to finish. Chris and Lisa were fantastic to work with — responsive, professional, accommodating, and calming throughout the planning process. They handled last-minute reception timeline changes seamlessly and made the day feel effortless for us. The food was also incredible (multiple guests commented on it afterward!) — we served the prime rib and pecan-crusted chicken, and both were excellent with surprisingly generous portions for wedding food. The open bar service was attentive all night, and dietary accommodations for our guests with nut allergies were handled very carefully and professionally.
To be realistic, the ballroom is a hotel ballroom, so if you want a less corporate feel you’ll probably want to bring in decor and lighting — but we found that very easy to do, and the space transformed beautifully. The room comfortably fit our 125 guests with plenty of space left over, parking was easy, accessibility was great for our disabled family members, and the venue even let us set up the night before and helped with teardown afterward. If you’re looking for a full-service wedding venue, especially with lots of out-of-town guests, we would absolutely recommend these guys without hesitation.

Morrissey Wedding, 06/06/26
The Hilton Garden in Troy, NY proved to be outstanding in every way!!! But, first I need to tell you how we landed there on June 6th! Being "Troy people" we initially visited another popular Troy venue 2 weeks after we were engaged in November. After our 1st (rushed) meeting we planned our date but left with the mutual understanding that the date could not be "sold" to us until February and I was told to check back then. As an anxious bride-to-be I reached out to the venue in early January and was given a "song & dance" as to why that date was no longer available and why we were bounced out (I figured it out, LOL). Initially, I was very upset and I felt that the venue could have done a better job with their communication and customer service, but as the saying goes "The universe protects you in ways that look like bad luck at first. Trust the detour". Thank goodness for that detour because it brought us up the hill to the Troy Hilton Garden, which ended up being the best 1st decision we made when planning our wedding! From the moment I stopped in, yes, just stopped in without an appointment, Chris D. the events manager who was there that day could not have been any more hospitable and gracious! Chris took me on a tour of the venue options. As soon as we went downstairs and I saw the beautiful garden, library, and all things "Troy" I knew this was our venue! Although our wedding was going to be small (>60) we would still have a few out of town guests so the hotel upstairs was a plus. Guests were given a discounted room block rate AND our wedding suite was complimentary the night of the wedding!!! The view from the 7th floor is incredible, there were even fireworks the night before the wedding that we could see from across the river. We were invited to a complimentary food tasting prior to choosing our meals which only validated our decision, the food was amazing, every single appetizer & entree! Our meetings with Chris D. were always encouraging and accommodating in every way, especially with food restrictions and venue set-up. Emails were returned quickly, flexibility with the table set-up (that I altered 10x) was met with excitement and positivity every time! Honestly, by the time our wedding day came and went in a flash it will always be the actually wedding planning that was the absolute best experience! When your guests rave about the food, the music, and the beauty of your ceremony than you've had a successful wedding day! A shout out to Country True Value in East Greenbush, NY for biting the bullet and ordering the beautiful rustic farm benches, they were reasonably priced, delivered & picked-up, thank you! If it's your 1st wedding, or 2nd wedding in our case, we can hands down give the Troy Hilton Garden a 5 star review; from location, the beauty of the venue, the excellent customer service from the front desk to the servers, the amazing quality of the food, and the overall value of what the Hilton has to offer we suggest that you check it out, especially if you are re "Troy people". We cannot thank the Troy Hilton enough for making our wedding a spectacular memory! Another bonus...tons of Hilton Honors points! Hilton Garden Inn Troy New York Wedding Reception
We cannot recommend this Hotel enough! The Hilton Garden Inn in Troy hosted our Wedding Reception last weekend. Start to finish everything was perfect! They hosted our Shower, Rehearsal Dinner, and Wedding Reception at this hotel. Starting a year ago the communication with Emily was incredibly professional, kind, and timely. All of the correspondence was easy to understand and everything was planned out so it was easy to understand and had an organized timeframe leading up to the big event! Every time we had a question, Emily answered it quickly and patiently. It was so evident that she wanted everything to be perfect for all of us. Each event was incredible (our guests are still talking about it!!). Not only was the decor and atmosphere totally created so the party rooms looked magical (and clean) but the staff - WOW I cannot say enough about the staff! So friendly, kind, and professional. Emily Chelle Nicole Rose Joe Leta Jeanne etc. etc. etc. and every single person associated with our events (there were people everywhere helping us at every turn) made us feel like we were part of their own family. They all went above and beyond to help make sure everything was perfect and that we were happy. Lastly, the lodging was wonderful - all the rooms were bright and clean and the Bridal Suite was amazing. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Multiple people told us this was the best wedding they have every been to. The Sorese Wedding was one people will remember forever. Thank you Hilton Garden Inn, Troy NY. -

Hilton Garden Inn of Troy is Great!
It has been a great experience working with the staff at the Troy Hilton Garden Inn for planning our wedding. Lisa and Chris are great. They are very helpful, accommodating and responsive. This venue is stunning. My fiancé and I attended the wedding tasting event on 3/28/26 which exceeded our expectations. The food was delicious and the area for this event was beautiful. I’m looking forward to our wedding reception at the Hilton Garden Inn.

Amazing venue and staff to work with!
We had our wedding reception here last November and it was absolutely amazing. We had opportunity to work with both Lisa and Chris and both were amazing and very easy to work with. They made it very easy for us to plan and coordinate our wedding reception, we actually didn’t need wedding planner mainly because of them. Our reception itself went very smoothly, we weren’t stressed at all, everything was taken care very nicely by the staffs working there. Price of the venue itself is also very affordable compared to other places in capital region. Definitely highly recommend them for your big day!-

Best wedding team
We can’t say enough good things about this wedding venue and the incredible team behind it. After being completely let down by another venue at the last minute, we were stressed, discouraged, and unsure how we’d pull everything together in time. That’s when we found this amazing place and from the moment we connected, everything changed for the better.
A huge special thanks to Emily, our wonderful wedding coordinator, and Chelly, the amazing banquet manager. These two women stepped up without hesitation and turned what felt like a disaster into the most beautiful, unforgettable day of our lives. Emily was a calming force, helping us re-plan everything with care and precision, while Chelly worked tirelessly to make sure every detail of the reception was perfect as well as the food!
They truly went above and beyond especially considering the short notice and made us feel supported, valued, and genuinely excited again. Their professionalism, kindness, and hustle saved our wedding, and we are forever grateful.

RPI ROTC Joint Service Military Ball 2025
Ms. Lisa Carroll and the entire staff at the Hilton Garden Inn were just wonderful! Our event was elegant, classy, festive, and a perfect place to host all three of our ROTC branches to have our annual evening of celebrating all the hard work our students put into their ROTC program each year. -

Amazing. Affordable. Above and Beyond
Our wedding was 6/29/19. Not sure how prices are now but I'm sure you will still get a big bang for your buck. Take advantage of the tasting and try everything. You might be surprised by what you like!!
Our cocktail hour was full of food. Plenty of food. Then an appetizer, salad, dinner
dessert and cake!! We had an open bar for 2 of 5 hours I believe. The staff moved like a pit crew transitioning the space from ceremony to reception. Everyone thinks we spent at least double for everything. The outdoor space is beautiful for photos. There are lots of areas for guests to mingle and get away from the music if they want to. Plenty of bathrooms that are conveniently located near the ballroom. Friendly and helpful staff. Everyone was so nice! They wrapped our leftover cake and gave us fresh meals the next day. It was delicious and I was glad to have it because who feels like cooking the next day?! Also the cake was made by a local vendor and it was perfection!! Lemon and vanilla!! Al.ost forgot the wedding suite. The night of your wedding you get this giant suite. Have an after party. My biggest regret was not having a get together after and using that giant room!! It's nice and spacious.
Take a tour, go to the tasting. You won't regret it! -

Perfect venue and affordable

The perfect day!
Kailee did a fantastic job from start to finish! She knew what my vision was and she was extremely accommodating. She did her best to make sure my wedding exactly as I had pictured it. She also was able to help me with some last minute issues I was having as well, and she really put my mind at ease.
The staff did an excellent job setting up and cleaning up, and they were very friendly and attentive to us and our guests. Our server promised my husband and I that our glasses would never be empty. I never got to finish my dinner so they made a new one and packed it up for me for later. They went above and beyond.
The food was delicious as well, from the hor d’oeuvres during cocktail hour to the entree, to the chocolate fountain and dessert station. The cake was amazing as well, which was included in our package but created by a separate offsite vendor, Cakes by Grace and Girls. (They were great too!)
We had a huge suite included in our package for the weekend which my girls and I used for getting ready, and it had large windows for a breathtaking view.
All in all, my husband and I are very pleased and impressed with the Hilton’s work, and our guests had a complete blast-

Excellent space for our outdoor wedding ceremony!
My husband and I had our wedding ceremony in the Courtyard at the Hilton and it was truly spectacular. We worked directly with Kailee Marafito and she was wonderful. She was with us every step of the way and answered all our questions prior to our big day. This was the perfect location for the outdoor ceremony we were looking for! We also used both of the larger suites to get ready in and they were perfect! -

One Amazing Night!
Our daughter and now son-in-law had their wedding here last weekend! Everything was perfect! Kailee was so calm, informative, organized and easy to work with throughout the whole process. We had just about 300 guests and we were not crowed at all. The food was outstanding and we are still hearing from guests how good it was and how quickly they were able to serve themselves from the stations that were spread out in the main room and attached entry way/room. People did not wait in line for more than a minute and chatted with others while getting their meal. And the desserts, which were included in the package were delicious! The staff were all friendly and efficient. We looked many places, the Garden Hilton being our final appointment before making any decisions and as soon as we met Kailee and saw the rooms we were hooked and we couldn't be happier with the choice we made. Our guests booked over 40 rooms at a special price and not one complaint. The suite for the happy couple was just remodeled and it is beautiful and very spacious. Additionally, we did not have to shuttle guests to and from the church or venue which made it so convenient for everyone. If you are looking for a venue in or around the Capital District area be sure to meet with Kailee. You won't be disappointed! -

Amazing service
I searched *everywhere* for months to find a venue that fit what I was looking for. The Hilton Garden Inn was perfect as a "one-stop-shop" for everything I needed. Their packages can be customized however you need.
Catering? Taken care of.
Bar Options? You got it.
Wedding Cake? Totally included.
Want to swap out salads in your package for a better open bar? No problem.
If you want to have your ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, and hotel rooms for guests to stay all in the same building so you don't spend half your time and budget transporting people around, this is the place. Even your after-party can stay on site with their Recovery Room Sports Bar connected to the hotel.
Their staff is amazing, the food was wonderful, the coordinator Kailee Marafito is insanely patient and very responsive, even when she's not in the office. I've sat with dozens of other venue coordinators looking for the right place, and Kailee was the ONLY person to actually get excited about my Batman themed wedding idea, the rest looked at me like I was crazy. I can't say enough good things about this venue and the people there. Whether your ideal wedding is indoors, outdoors, big or small, they have multiple spaces to match what you're looking for. And the best part ... they have NO PEAK SEASON. You will not pay more for a wedding in June than you would in December! -

The perfect garden for an intimate reception
The event planner, Kailee, walked us through every option and space available at the Hilton. We chose to have our reception in the library and garden spaces - absolutely perfect. Kailee was wonderful to work with, kept us up to date, and made sure we kept her up to date. The staff for our event was outstanding - John, the bar manager, and Kara, our event supervisor, were the BEST. Beginning with our tour of the spaces, to an individual dinner tasting to help us select our menu, to the delicious and beautiful reception and our amazing cake, to the wedding night suite which was part of the package, everything was perfectly suite for us and our guests. And, the breakfast was worth getting up for.-

Everything about the Hilton was out of this world. They made our wedding magical and absolutely perfect. WE got thank-you notes from our guests because they felt our wedding was that awesome and they felt so thrilled to have been there, and the Hilton staff made it that way. The food and desserts were amazing, the attention to detail was superb and the hospitality we felt and were given from everyone (from the kitchen to the front door, to the front desk) were wonderful. On top of everything else, the ballroom was BEAUTIFUL and the rooms were beautiful and spacious, too. It's been three weeks and we are still raving and on cloud nine because of this outstanding hotel. I would give it 10 stars if I could!! April and all the staff at the Hilton made our wedding day a wonderful experience where we could enjoy ourselves and celebrate with friends and family. I could not imagine a better location to have our wedding or any place that was so accommodating to special requests to incorporate different cultural pieces.

April and the Hilton Garden Inn helped make our wedding day and entire weekend so successful! April was the best to work with as her communication was fabulous and she was always available to help out! Not being from the area, we knew we were going to need quite a few hotel rooms, and April made sure that we had enough rooms for all our guests!
When I saw the outdoor garden space, I knew that was where I wanted to have our ceremony! The day before our wedding, when checking the weather, it seemed that it was going to rain on Saturday. April contacted us immediately and asked if us if we wanted her to see if she could find a tent. Even though we had never discussed it, April went above and beyond, and secured us our tent so I was able to get married outside like I always wanted!
The staff at the hotel was also amazing! The lady at the welcome desk was so helpful checking everyone in and made sure every guest got a welcome bag! We had a farewell breakfast on Sunday for our guests and the ladies down there were also fantastic. They made sure our guests had fresh food and were always making sure my husband and I were taken care of as well. Along with a great staff, the rooms were also immaculate! We stayed in the presidential suite which had a great amount of space for my bridesmaids and I to get ready! The other rooms were also spacious and we loved that everyone had a microwave and refrigerator to make it feel like a home away from home!
I could not have asked for a better hotel to host our wedding weekend! April and all the staff made our time there stress free I would stay there again in a heartbeat! Thank you so much! -

The staff made us feel like Kings! The rooms we used for our ceremony, reception & dinner were absolutely the best! The food was wonderful and the staff were always right there for us even before we knew we needed something. Talk about meeting your needs! I would highly recommend this venue to anyone. First class venue and event from start to finish!
Kim Ryan was an absolute joy to work with and helped execute every detail of our vision, from start to finish.
We had 180 people and the ballroom had room for a large dance floor, the magnet man, and plenty of room for formal seating and mingling. The food was amazing and everyone is still raving! The staff was friendly eager to please, and able to anticipate our needs before we ourselves knew what they would be! The Rensselaer Hilton Garden Inn in Troy proved to be the perfect venue for our Wedding Weekend. The convenient location made it easy for all of our out-of-town guests to find. We held our Welcome Party/Rehearsal Dinner, our Reception and our Farewell Brunch in 3 different spaces all within the hotel over the course of 3 days. Each event had it's own style and flavor and we loved not feeling like we were "in a hotel." We were able to customize our menus and decorations to truly reflect our tastes, and still stayed on budget! Our guests were treated both professionally and in a friendly manner -- something we expect from smaller inns and were pleased to find in this larger hotel. Kimberly Ryan made the entire planning process incredibly easy and all of the staff for the 3 events were a pleasure. We are writing this correspondence to compliment the outstanding service we received during our recent stay at the Hilton Garden Inn in Troy, NY. Our son was married on June 29, and all of our family and guests stayed at the Hilton. In September of last year, I met with Kimberly Ryan, the Catering Sales Manager at the hotel. From that day forward, Kim proved to be invaluable to us in planning a Rehearsal dinner, a brunch for our guests on Sunday morning, as well as assisting me with securing the rooms for our guests. Kim’s expertise and experience in this field were reflected in every detail of the planning. The Rehearsal dinner she arranged for us was exactly what I had envisioned, but was enhanced by Kim’s special touches. We had almost 40 people, and several of our guests were from Australia. The room looked elegant and beautiful, the food was wonderful, the bartender great, and a grand time was had by all. Kim created a beautiful cocktail that totally suited the bride and groom’s sensibilities as well as marking the occasion of their honeymoon in France. I know what a challenge it was for Kim to secure all of the rooms as there were several weddings in the area that weekend, yet every room I needed was made available. All the guests were accommodated including my 97 year old mother who requires oxygen at night, and did need a family member close by. Kim took care of that for me as well. We had an extended stay, and throughout that week every staff member I came in contact with was professional and accommodating. As family and friends arrived, we all remained at the hotel, and enjoyed great lunches, dinners and after parties at the Recovery Room. We finished with our Sunday brunch which again was delicious, and set up beautifully.

My husband and I had our 10 year vow renewal held here and it was absolutely wonderful! The space was perfect for our event, the food was delicious, the staff was attentive and professional and working with Kimberly Ryan (the hotel coordinator) was wonderful! She really knows her stuff, she's very helpful and soooo easy to work with. We had an overall blessed experience and would definitely use this venue again for future events!! -

I could go on and on about this venue. Kim and the rest of the crew at the Hilton are phenomenal and anything you can dream of, they can make come true. My husband and I got to enjoy every second of our wedding day because everything had been taken care of and there was nothing for us to worry about. We had a beautiful wedding ceremony in their courtyard followed by an amazing cocktail hour and reception where we didn't want for anything the entire night. The staff always checked on us and made sure we were all set and they gave the same attention to our guests. I was thrilled with every last detail and I haven't heard anything but from our guests. The Hilton Garden Inn of Troy was AMAZING!!!! From the start Kim Ryan and her awesome team were just perfect to us. Kim helped us for 13 months leading up to the big day with all the planning and organizing. She was always professional and punctual, knew what needed to be done and guided me along the way.
When it came down to the actual day, I stayed in the bridal suite...AMAZING. So big and luxurious, all the girls got ready there with hair and makeup! The guys met in the swanky library downstairs....perfect for some pictures with the photographer! Both groups got photos taken in the beautiful courtyard too!
Our reception was PERFECT. As a nervous bride, I worried about everything. Looking back, this wasn't necessary as Kim and her team had everything under control. From the food to the cake and even the organized dancing by the waitresses, it was all a fairy tale! To top it all off, I am still in shock with our final bill! Thanks to the Hilton, we were able to have every single person we could ever want there! It was just perfect. 100% recommend this venue and its team to any future bride and groom! Beautiful, memorable, professional, romantic, high quality, and the list goes on!

Kimberly Ryan and the staff at the Hilton Garden Inn were absolutely incredible. After several failed attempts to contact area vendors, Kimberly was the first one to respond positive with our same sex reception inquiry. Her exact words were, "love it!" Our initial meeting with Kimberly was relaxed and informative. After that, we just knew that we picked the perfect venue for our celebration. She responded to my emails quickly and replaced my worry with assurance. I am sure at one point she was even afraid to check her email because I was emailing her so much! The day of our reception, Kimberly and her staff were so attentive to us and our guests. Kimberly personally came to our room to help with a wedding dress malfunction and saved the night because if it wasn't for her, our first dance would have been a catastrophe. All the little "extras" Kimberly did to make our night special is something we will never forget. The food was incredible and the set up was beautiful. We would also like to thank Henry, he was very attentive with our guests and with us as well. When My Husband and I first started looking we wanted an outside wedding and I was very stubborn about it!, until we met with Kim Ryan at the Hilton Garden Inn in Troy, NY. She turned our dream wedding into reality, With her out of the box ideas of making our outside wedding become a never been seen wedding at the HGI in troy. It was by far the wedding of OUR dreams. I can say that it's never been seen at the Hilton because I myself work there as a banquet server and have worked 90% of the weddings that we have held at the HGI, And I can be sure to tell you that I have NEVER seen one single wedding the same before. Each of them have their own special twist and not only because of the different tastes and ideas of other brides and grooms but with help of the AWESOME wait staff! Not only do they get creative to make sure that your reception table and desert display meet your expectations but they go well over the top to make it unique for every event!, and did I mention the salad parade? Yes ladies and gentleman they performed THE BEST salad parade that I have ever seen. line dancing with salad trays is far from easy but they pulled it off without a single mistake! Everyone who attended my wedding raved about how awesome it was to see a staff that big pull together something that awesome! I'm not even sure where to begin when it comes to explaining how helpful Kim is with planning she sure knows how to keep a bride in line and make Your dreams come true. Not only does she have great advice but she has great vendor list to choose from, like Gourmet confection for your cake or cupcakes, Conway Entertainment for your spectacular DJ service and night of dancing! and lastly Ambiance floral company who made our center pieces and all of my girls flowers absolutely beautiful! I can honestly say that our wedding never would of been our dream wedding if it wasn't for kim and her awesome team! If I had to choose one word to describe my wedding experience at the Hilton it would be "perfect" there is not one thing we would have done differently.
Kim, our wedding coordinator was unbelievable. Right from the start she was willing to help with anything, answer the millions of questions i asked, and took care of any obstacles we came across.
She made herself available to talk even when you ran into randomly outside of work. Everything that led up to the bug day left me very stress free and i was telling people how great it was even before the wedding reception.
The day of the event as i said in the beginning was perfect. I know the Hilton cant control the weather but we couldn't have asked for better weather. I think the Hilton staff said a prayer or something for the weather we were blessed with. We had our cocktail hour outside in the garden area which was absolutely gorgeous. The food was amazing and the drinks were flowing and everyone was enjoying themselves. And the Hilton was all set with a backup plan to have it inside if the weather didn't cooperate which again put us at ease so it wasn't something to worry about the day of the wedding.
The dinner and reception was what can i say perfect too The tables, decorations, candy buffet were perfect. The Hilton staff did a surprise entrance just before dinner was served. It was amazing. all our guests were commenting on how awesome that was. The next part the food, was out of this world. Hats off to Carlos and his team. People are still raving about the beef and everything else.

The Troy Hilton totally exceeded our expectations.
Kim and her staff did a wonderful job. We can't thank them enough for helping to make our wedding day the best day of our lives and a day that will never be forgotten.

I am so happy we choose the Hilton Garden Inn in Troy, NY for our wedding. It couldn't have been more perfect. Kim Ryan was such a pleasure to work with. She never got annoyed by my many questions or made me feel ignored. In fact she made me feel like I was there only bride. Her kindness and professionalism made the wedding planning process fun and not stressful at all. I can't thank Kim and the staff at the Hilton enough for making our wedding weekend so special.
We held 3 events at the Hilton; the rehearsal dinner, a reception for just under 200 people and a breakfast the next morning. All 3 events were spectacular. The rooms were decorated beautifully, the food was delicious and the staff was so accommodating, attentive and friendly. The wedding reception hall was breathtaking, so beautiful and perfect. The ceiling swags and bow colors and overlays and uplighting.... Kim and the Hilton staff's attention to detail made this all came together so beautifully. Ohhh and the food!! We have gotten so many compliments from our guests on how delicious the food was.

Our wedding reception couldn't have been any more perfect! The food was amazing and so were the drinks. The catering coordinator Kim was so good to us and always got right back to us with anything we needed, and the staff was so friendly the night of our wedding. We stayed in a beautiful suite that night and we didn't want to leave! I would recommend this venue to anyone having a big wedding since there is a lot of space, and for what you get in the wedding package, the price is very reasonable too!! Open cocktail hour, free room, passed appetizers, BBQ menu... Guests are still commenting on how great a reception it was! This place is a must have for any future brides! Kim at the HGI was beyond helpful for all of our wedding planning needs. Not only did Kim help us with the reception planning but she also used her years of wedding planning experience to assist with other details surrounding our special day. My calls and emails were answered immediately and she was more than on top of every detail of my wedding. I cannot express how much this helped making my planning completely stress free. Also for the icing on the cake she planned some really nice "surprises" on our special day. Everyone in attendance cannot stop raving about our day and I am still hearing that it was the most elegant wedding people have seen.

As a same-sex couple The Hilton Garden Inn did everything to make the planning & wedding day as easy and flawless as possible. They went above and beyond to make sure that all of our guests were comfortable and WELL feed! The food and service was incredible. I still have guest commenting about how wonderful everything was, how beautiful the hotel & library space is. The staff was very accommodating when it came to special request for room set up during our service and were willing to make sure we had everything we needed on site to make the wedding perfect. I would recommend the Hilton Garden Inn to anyone who wants the wedding of their dreams to come true! -

We were engaged to be married on 9/16/10, a short two weeks later, we knew we needed to get moving in order to secure a fabulous venue for our 11/11/11 wedding date. We met with Angela from HGI Troy in the first weeks of October 2010. I knew IMMEDIATELY that this was where we wanted to hold our wedding reception. Things moved fairly quickly during our engagement (as you would expect!) From the MOMENT I met with Angela and Kim (who by the way..are ROCKSTARS) I fell in love with them. Not just their professionalism but their attitudes, personality, etc. They are great people. These are the types of people that you want in your corner, helping you every step of the way. If I had time, I would have loved to count the number of e-mails exchanged between them and I from 10/10 to 11/11. Every single question, concern, idea was met with enthusiasm. They NEVER got annoyed. They never ignored me. I truly felt like I was their only bride in the last 14 months. Okay, let's get to the BIG DAY... it was NOTHING short of fabulous. In fact, it was perfect. We celebrated with 198 people that evening. I've heard so many brides tell stories about how this or that went wrong on their wedding day. I can sit here and type this and say that if you are at the HGI and you have Kim, Angela and their team, nothing will go "wrong." The room was decorated beautifully, the staff was more than accommodating, friendly, outgoing and attentive (shout out to my girl, Kara for never letting me walk around with an empty glass of champagne!) I would recommend HGI Troy, Kim, Angela and their team to anyone getting married. I get it, Troy sometimes gets a bad rap, but when you are inside, you feel like you are in a palace and these people know how to treat you like royalty. My son and daughter-in-law had their wedding vows and reception at the Hilton Garden and I can't say enough about how thrilled I was with everything. My daughter-in-law and I dealt with Kimberly Ryan who was a pleasure to work with. She and the rest of the employees at the Hilton exceeded my expectations.
The wedding was originally suppose to take place in their beautiful garden area but the weather predictions changed our minds about that and we made the right choice because that was the day of the freak October snow storm!! The room where the vows were exchanged was still beautiful and Kim was right there to see everything go smoothly. Our reception was small and was held in the "library room". The room itself is nice but when I saw it all decorated with the linens, candles and flowers it was breathtaking!! The food was excellent and the d.j. was great. When my daughter-in-law writes her review I hope she mentions his name as well as the florist, photographer and makeup and hair vendors. All were on top of their game! I am still hearing praises from family and friends on how beautiful everything was and how much fun everybody had. I can highly recommend the Hilton, Kim and the whole staff for a wedding you will be very pleased with. Also, the bridal suite is amazing! Very large and beautiful. Lots of space for the bridal party to prepare for the big event!

Our daughters' wedding on Sept 3, 2011 was spectacular!!! She wrote a great review that covered everything. We only want to add that the personal service we all received was above and beyond!
We recently attended a wedding out of state at a great venue and we expected the same level of service, but we were very disappointed.
The staff at the Hilton Garden Inn from Kim Ryan, Jen Page, Kara, John, Henry and the entire event staff gave great attention to all our needs.
We took an informal survey of friends and family and we were amazed and pleased that all had such high praise for not only the food but especially the personal service. Everything ran smoothly, on time and was perfect!!

Our wedding was amaaazing, and it was all thanks to the awesome staff at The Hilton Garden Inn! From the very beginning of the planning stages, I knew that Jen, Kim and the entire staff were going to exceed our expectations. Every little detail was covered, and I never left a meeting or conversation with any worries or doubts in my mind. Every email was responded to in a timely, thorough manner. Every point of contact we had with the hotel was a positive, pleasant experience. Even guests calling in to reserve rooms told us how friendly the front desk staff was to work with. Which by the way, the hotel rooms here are beautiful. The Presidential Suite for the Bride and Groom is just awesome! Huge and plenty of room to have the girls get ready the day of, or have the guys hang out and party. The day of the wedding I wasn't stressed at all, I knew Kim had my back and had everything covered! The ballroom is spacious, beautiful, and classy. The cocktail hour in the foyer was perfect, and the bridal party had a private one in the library area downstairs - which is great because it opens up to the lawn area which was perfect for pictures! We got to take pictures and enjoy cocktail hour - the best of both worlds! The reception was truly a memorable occasion and everything was perfect. The things people remember the most and have the best time at weddings is when there is good food, good music, and open bar. The Hilton delivers on the delicious food and drink options, so make sure you get a good DJ who will get your guests on the dance floor. Also, we had our Rehearsal Dinner at the Recovery Sports Grill located in the Hotel - it was an awesome pre-party to the wedding. If you are looking for a more casual option where a lot of people can gather and mingle and hang out - this is the place! Oh and they even offered to stay open later on the night of the wedding - it was a great after party spot! Such an awesome experience for your guests to be able to stay over and have everything in one place. Sunday morning everyone trickled in for a delicious breakfast downstairs at the Great American Grill off the lobby. I can’t say enough positive things about the Hilton and my wedding weekend. It really was perfect and I am so happy to have had the pleasure of working with Kim and the entire team. We are so happy that we chose the Hilton. Angela and Kim were awesome. Everytime I had a question they would get back to me within the next day. We had our ceremony outside in the garden and our reception in the ballroom. It was beautiful and everyone had such a great time! Would definitely recommend! -

The Hilton Garden Inn was perfect in every way. We worked with Kim to plan our wedding. She was not only flexible, but very honest. She cared about our wedding being what WE wanted and did all she could to make it perfect.
The hotel has base packages in place, and then they can tailor them to meet you needs and wants. You can get a great price and not sacrifice on quality or service.
The hotel itself is beautiful. It is a new building with up to date everything. They are able to block off rooms for your guests at a discounted rate. The suite for the bride and groom the night of the wedding is fabulous. It is also an ideal place for the bridal party to get ready. The hotel will also keep the Recovery Room open late so your celebration doesn't have to end when the reception does.
Just about any place can be beautiful and give you a good price, but think about service. The woman with me on my wedding day made the day even more special. She fixed my veil before I walked down the aisle. She held my hand while I changed from heels to flats. When my husband decided to get into the spirit of things and smash the cake in my face, she was right behind me cleaning me up while I was still processing what happened AND preventing any pictures that could haunt me for the rest of my life. The bartender informed me when I went up for a drink "The bar comes to you, you don't come to the bar." This is your wedding day and you want to be treated like royalty. Not every place can live up to the service this hotel staff provides.
The overall expereince was well organized. Everyone had a great time and everything was perfect. I would recommend the HGI Troy to any couple planning their wedding.The Hilton Garden Inn, Troy's reply:

THANK YOU soooo much to the team at the Hilton Garden Inn in Troy for making Brooke and Seth's wedding such a memorable wedding! Being the Mom of the Bride, when Brooke and I went to check out venues, we knew immediately this is where we wanted to have the wedding. We still looked around at other places but we came back to the HGI as it had everything that we were looking for! From the moment we got to the hotel the day before the wedding, we were made to feel so special by the staff. Working with Kim, Jen, the head table waitress, the bartendars, the front desk girls, the banquet staff and EVERYBODY on staff was truly a delight. They put together all of Brooke's requests, along with other details to make for such a memorable wedding. Thanks to the team for making us all feel so comfortable. The food was awesome, the dessert table was amazing, and the banquet room looked gorgeous, along with the beautiful hotel rooms. I loved the suite I stayed in and the Presidential suite where the newly wed couple stayed in was just amazing! The bridal party stayed there the night before and had their hair and makeup done which worked out perfect! Breakfast the next day was also great! Thank you to the staff for all your hard work in helping Brooke's wedding become all that she dreamed for. I would highly recommend the Hilton Garden Inn in Troy!!! This was the second wedding my family has put on. The first was at the Hall of Springs in Saratoga. We wanted the same high end event. The staff listen to every detail we requested. They made some fabulous suggestions and insisted that we do a tasting with the Chief. The chief was wonderful to work with and made some great dishes. The day of the wedding we arrived at the Hilton. They blew us away with the quality, presentation and service of the food. They went beyond our expectations. I would recommend the Hilton Garden Inn, Troy to anyone for an event. -

I had a very good experience with this Hotel. The service and food was amazing. Being a budget bride I found the quality and quantity very high for the price I paid. I worked with Jennifer Page and found her very responsive and she answered all my questions. We originally had a gorgeous outdoor ceremony planned but it rained heavy that day. The hotel staff took care of everything to make the inside room just as beautiful. The suite we stayed in the night of was also beautiful. We had our wedding ceremony and post wedding brunch at the Hilton Gardern Inn, as well as had all out of town wedding guest stay there. Kim was great to work with. She gave us advise and pointed us in the right direction while planning our wedding. I really wanted a outdoor ceremony, but was getting married in Novemeber, so Kim came-up with a plan A and B for us. We ended up going with Plan B and had the ceremony inside. It was beautiful candle light ceremony. She set-up cider and donuts which everyone loved and I thought it was a perfect little touch. Kim was wonderful and quickly fixed all the little bumps in the road. I can’t thank her enough and would recommend the Hilton Garden Inn. -

My husband and I had our wedding reception at the Troy Hilton Garden Inn fourth of July weekend. We started our planning process with Jenn and then when she was promoted to a different position we continued on with Kim. The Hilton was extremely flexible with customizing the base packages they had in place. We removed a few things (centerpieces, table-side wine service, etc.) from one of the packages to make it fit with our budget while still keeping the things we wanted like open bar and certain meal options. They were also extremely understanding of many food allergies we have in the family/bridal party and were flexible with side dishes and garnishes to keep all nuts out of the entire reception.
The reception itself was epic, everyone had a fantastic time and the food/drinks were excellent. We had guests asking us if we could get married every weekend, that's how great a time it was. They even kept the Recovery Room open late for us which was an incredible after-party and we also had brunch available for all of our guests staying at the Hilton the next morning. It was a complete package and we got a reasonable block rate and basically had our run of the entire hotel.
My only word of advice would be to consider using a day-of-coordinator, or ask a friend/family member who is not in the bridal party to handle coordinating the hotel staff and making sure everything is properly attended to. We had a bit of confusion about candy buffets, table runners/chair ties and the cake topper's stand was lost in the shuffle which was rather unfortunate. Granted I had a LOT of DIY elements but I recommend being EXTREMELY organized and detailed with instructions if you decide not to spring for the DOC. I'm far from a Bridezilla and I'm extremely easy-going with many things, I knew it would all work itself out and it did. Except for the cake topper, since there was no stand they shoved the figurines into the top of the cake and it was a little unsightly, but really, that's my only complaint.
Overall, the Hilton did a wonderful job with our wedding and we are extremely happy with the outcome.
I also recommend Anthology for florals/design, Coccadotts Cakes, Fernando from Pianoman Productions, and HBT Photography. Each one of our vendors exceeded expectations. -
