My husband and I got married on 11/11/22 at The Henderson and it was truly the most memorable day of our lives, thanks to our team and the incredible venue. We did lots of research knowing we wanted a destination wedding in the panhandle, and The Henderson stood out immediately- we are forever grateful we chose it as our venue and it was worth the investment. Many factors played a role, but the biggest one was their unique offering. Not only is it the most beautiful resort in the area (I tried to include as many pictures as possible so you could see the attention to detail at this resort!) and has 5 star service, accommodations and food, but it offers the Bride and Groom many location options to fulfill any wedding vision. We were able to get married in a beachside ceremony (at The Henderson Park Inn's Beachside East Green), with our cocktail hour also at The Henderson Park Inn's West Patio (ocean front, string lights, bar). We then hosted our reception on their Grand Lawn with a clear top tent. Both locations included fire pits, which was such a great addition for that time of year, lots of bathroom stalls so zero wait time, and plenty of space for our guests to roam, yet nicely fill the space (~120 guests). They have other locations as well, such as a beachfront ceremony, ballrooms, and pending guest count, a rooftop bar and sunset terrace. You truly cannot go wrong. The grounds are immaculate, offering fire pits (can you tell how much I loved them?), and multiple bars, pools and restaurants for your guests to feel that they are truly on vacation. Their spa is amazing, and both myself, my husband, and our guests utilized it. All of our guests thoroughly enjoyed their rooms and accomodations, and we were lucky enough to have a suite overlooking the ocean for me and my bridesmaids to get ready in. The food is next level - we received so many compliments on the food night of, but also throughout our guests stay. Our wedding tasting was one of our favorite days, and I mean this when I say you can't go wrong with food options. We selected for Hors D'oeruvres: coconut crushed shrimp (a must!), ahi tuna tacos, and wild mushroom beggar's purse. For our reception: caesar salad, Filet, Grouper (HUGE hit). The Henderson also offers some of the best sushi in the area. Their bar selection was also top of the line, and they allow you to make a few substitutions which we were grateful for, as my husband is a huge bourbon fan. Overall, it was so wonderful to not have any worries during your special weekend, and be able to trust a venue to take care of all the details. The Henderson went above and beyond. And last, but certainly not least, I need to give specific credit to the incredible customer service we received throughout our planning year, and weekend of. Hannah P. is exceptional- a true expert in her field, and so kind and a true joy to work with. All of the staff throughout the resort and those that worked our wedding were kind, attentive and detail oriented. We cannot wait to visit The Henderson for years to come. -

We had our wedding day at The Henderson on 10/28/22 and it was a five-star experience! The resort is so beautiful and elegant- all of the guests enjoyed their stay there. Hannah the manager was amazing to work with and was organized, prompt communication, and so friendly! We had a girls spa day before the rehearsal dinner and it was a luxury experience! On the wedding day, we had cocktail hour at the sunset terrace and the reception on the grand lawn with a clear top tent. It was so dreamy and magical! The staff at The Henderson truly made my family and I feel like royalty. I hired an outside babysitting company to watch my nieces and nephews during the reception and the company canceled last minute. The Henderson came through and were able to find staff with kids club experience to help babysit. They saved the day! I don't know of any wedding venue with this level of customer service. I am so thankful we got married at The Henderson. We can't wait to go back for our anniversaries and staycations. Five star experience!!! -

The Henderson literally does it all- it was such a relief to not have to worry about the small things! The Henderson took care of every request we had from start the finish. Hannah (wedding coordinator) was phenomenal and flawless. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone! -

Our wedding at the Henderson was beautiful. The rooms were spectacular and we actually had filet mignon dinners waiting for us at the end of our wedding night. Nice touch, right? We worked with a few different wedding coordinators here so we dealt with a bit of turnover but Hannah did a phenomenal job making everything happen in the end. I actually called her on her personal phone a lot and she was always responsive and helpful. Any issues that came up, The Henderson was very accommodating. I always feel like royalty staying at this hotel and our guests felt the same way!! Thank you to the Wedding team!
I came here specifically looking for food reviews before the wedding and didn't get much info SO:
1) the short ribs were by far the best and everyone said the food was top notch. The grouper also received a lot of great feedback.
2) Appetizers were also excellent although unfortunately we couldn't fully enjoy them since we were taking photos at cocktail hour. They left a few for us on the table at the reception! You would be making a major mistake if you didn't do the brie en croute for an appetizer! It was everyone's favorite! -

Above and Beyond
I could not be happier with the Henderson when it came to my wedding. They delivered 500% on everything, including things I didn't even expect. every member of the staff treated my whole family with kindness, friendliness, and respect. They knew us by name and made sure any problems or requests were met on every front. The wedding was beautiful, the food delicious, and the entire venue was a total dream. While they are on the pricier side (a holdup for me in the beginning), I would 100% recommend the Henderson for any bride - it is definitely worth it!! -

MY ABSOLUTE DREAM WEDDING came true because of The Henderson Resort. Everything they did was spectacular. I was so worried about planning a wedding from out of state but Megan Clements and The Henderson Resort team went above and beyond to take care of everything we needed. This venue is not only GORGEOUS, but the people who work there really value their customers and make you feel at home. If you want a beautiful, quality wedding- BOOK WITH THE HENDERSON! We had our wedding on May 30, 2020, with our ceremony on the Grand Lawn and reception on the Sunset Vista rooftop.
Being a destination bride, I had tons of questions and Jillian was exceptional in promptly and professionally helping us every step of the way! She really worked with us to ensure we could stay within our budget, yet still be able to have the wedding we dreamed of. When COVID started a little over two months before our big day, we were introduced to Casey, who seamlessly took over for Jillian due to a promotion within the company. Casey stayed in touch with us and made sure we were in the know of reopening plans. When the resort reopened in mid-May, the staff put in place health and safety measures without hesitation. They really made us and our guests feel at ease during such an uncertain and stressful time!
As far as our wedding weekend, the resort was absolutely picture perfect and every staff member we came in contact with was very accommodating. The Henderson is anything and everything you would need in a wedding venue. We are so thankful to Jillian, Casey, and every staff member at The Henderson that made our big day everything we dreamed of and more! -

We had our wedding at The Henderson in February of 2020. Jillian was exceptional! From our first visit, to sending all the information I ever asked for, communicating with my coordinator and other vendors, to our weekend experience, it was flawless! They accommodated anything we needed help with and truly went above and beyond. I couldn't have imagined our wedding anywhere else! -

Amazing wedding weekend!
The Henderson was the perfect venue for our wedding festivities! With the help of our wedding planner, florist, and the excellent staff at The Henderson, everything went off without a hitch. We enjoyed our rehearsal dinner in Primrose, wedding ceremony on the Grand Lawn, cocktail hour on the Rooftop Terrace, and reception in the Crystal Ballroom. And of course gathering for drinks and snacks at Horizons or taking a dip in the pool and hot tub in between or after all the festivities. It was such a gorgeous venue to celebrate our special weekend, and it had all the accommodations without any need to leave the premises! I would definitely recommend The Henderson for anyone planning a wedding, reunion, party, or just a weekend getaway! And did I mention the Salamander Spa!?! -

We were in town for the weekend to plan our weekend and made an appointment with Jillian. She toured us around the entire property and showed us everything we could use for our wedding, wedding party and families. She was very professional, informative and helpful. We did decide to go another route with our wedding although we would highly recommend this property for a wedding, vacation or spa day. Jillian will be wonderful to help you plan your future wedding! Thank you for the wonderful customer service and accommodating us arriving early to the property! -

Before I get into how amazing my big day was, let me start this off by giving a well deserved thank you to Megan Clements. From special ordering a beer that my husband loves, to helping me figure out how to bustle my dress (don't get me started on her battle with the bottle no one could open!), Megan went above and beyond for my big day throughout the entire planning process and on the day of. So, THANK YOU Megan. I truly could not have asked for a better person to have put everything together.
Now! Onto the venue. We opted for the intimate wedding package, and it was an absolute dream! We had about 30 or so attendees, with our ceremony on the Sunset Vista (the photos are breathtaking!), and the reception in the ballrooms. Our wedding was December 07 with an elegant Christmas theme. The decorations throughout The Henderson were gorgeous! So many beautiful pictures. During our reception, there was a gingerbread house reveal, and a staff member was so kind to come grab me and my husband to take some photos with Santa before he left. What a fun experience!
As for the food, the menu tasting was a great experience, and the food was spectacular! Even the house wine exceeded my expectations. In addition to the wine, they allowed us to have a "signature cocktail" at the bar and they crushed it! We received so many compliments on our Christmas themed cocktail, as well as the food! Even the on site restaurants were amazing. My mother and I went downstairs to have breakfast at Horizons on my wedding day, and the salmon bagel was so delicious that I ordered it again the next day!
I could go on about how fantastic my wedding was at The Henderson, but I'll do my best to summarize: the people, the food, and venue exceeded my expectations in every way, and it was absolutely the best day of my life. ❤️ -

I had been looking for a venue high and low and kept striking out, until I visiting the Henderson. Planning a destination wedding here could not have gone smoother. Jillian was AMAZING! Seriously. She answered all of my super obnoxious emails even up until the very morning of the wedding; when all I wanted was a Bloody Mary and man did she deliver. I had so much fun working with her throughout the whole experience. And the Henderson itself - sooo so beautiful. Breathtaking. Wedding on the beachside green and reception on the rooftop was perfect!!! -

We were married on the private beach at the Henderson. Megan Clements, the Wedding Sales Manager, was amazing. She took care of every detail and even helped me organize a surprise for my husband's birthday which was the day after. I will also note we were out of state, over 9 hours away, and she made planning very easy. She even helped me change the day of our wedding at the last minute due to storms and rain. Thanks Megan and the Henderson Beach Resort for a day we will never forget! -

I was married on the beach at the Henderson Park Inn on June 20, 2019 and every aspect of the wedding was amazing. The staff at HPI worked directly with my wedding planner to ensure every detail of the ceremony and reception was perfect. The food was amazing, and I have a couple of picky kids in the family and even they loved it! The beach was nicely groomed and the lawn area for the reception was well maintained. And the bridal suite where my bridesmaids and I got ready was beautiful and accommodating. Overall, our experience at HPI was wonderful and our wedding was simply magical. -

Picture Perfect
Our wedding at The Henderson was just as we imagined! The event coordinator was fabulous and helped us select our vendors and pull together all the details. The resort itself is beautiful, and the staff is extremely attentive. Our wedding was in the lawn and couldn’t have been more picturesque with the green grass, blue skies, and white columns. The dinner was also in the lawn and so delicious, and the kids enjoyed making s’mores in the fire pit. I’d definitely recommend this venue to anyone! -

Henderson Park Inn exceeded all of our expectations in every way. The venue is absolutely gorgeous!!! Our coordinator and Wedding Sales Manager, Jillian was so responsive and went above and beyond to make our day absolutely amazing. We were planning our wedding from Ohio, and she made it so incredibly easy. The weather took a turn for the worse when we were due to start the ceremony and they were more than accommodating in moving times, making suggestions and alternate plans, and getting our guests where they needed to be when the weather finally broke so we could have our dream wedding on Henderson’s beach. Thank you to everyone at Henderson Park Inn for making our wedding such a memorable day!!! -

The Henderson and their staff are AMAZING!!!!!! I was always told great things before we decided to have our wedding there and they went above and beyond for our every want, need and expectation! Our entire wedding couldn’t have been any better! It’s a day we will never forget and we can’t wait to visit The Henderson again for our 1 year anniversary! The entire resort is amazing. I couldn’t ask for a better venue to have had my wedding at! The Henderson went above and beyond to make sure I was happy on my big day. They were so accomodating and reassuring the week leading up to Saturday (as Michael was making its way to Florida). The team there kept my nerves calm and couldn’t have been more professional! beautiful venue
The Henderson was a beautiful venue that I enjoyed working with. They underwent some staffing changes during my planning but Jillian was great to work with. It was a smooth process even with COVID-19 raising many concerns along the way. They worked with me for attendance/attrition, room blocks, etc. which relieved some of the pandemic stress. My guests LOVED staying at the hotel and it was a great vacation destination for guests. -

Jillian and the Henderson staff were very professional. They took care of every detail and made our big day super easy. Our wedding went off without a hitch, and we couldn't be happier. The venue is incredibly popular (for good reason), book your event spaces early! -

The overall process of planning was pretty easy (especially for a destination wedding), they were easy to get ahold of and very flexible in making changes as the day approached. Multiple guests have told us it was “the best wedding food they have ever had!” And the service was top notch. If we did it all over again we would do it the same- at The Henderson. And we plan to celebrate our anniversaries there!
