The Hawthrons was the perfect venue to hold our wedding. Stephanie was great to work with and everything about the venue was perfect. Compared to event venues, the Hawthorns had extremely competitive pricing and didn’t try to nickel and dime us for the experience. The food was also great!

We held our small wedding at The Hawthorns. Stephanie was such an amazing resource. They did an excellent job with the setup and execution of our event. The food was amazing (highly recommend their signature salad). They worked with us to have tasty apps between the ceremony and reception. The bar service was great. They were so personable and friendly. When looking for a venue in the Fishers area this is one that you must put on your list. The perfect mix of elegance and exquisite service!

We were recently married here and it was everything we wanted and more. Stephanie was great to work with and went the extra mile to get our favorite beer for our big day. The venue was so beautiful, the food was great and the staff was so responsive and helpful! Big shout out to our bar tender for making sure we wobbled correctly! I couldn’t recommend it more. Being able to have everything through the hawthorns was amazing. Everything ran so smoothly thanks to Stephanie! Thank you!!! Our families kept telling us how beautiful the venue was!

We were fortunate enough to have an amazing wedding at the Hawthorns in early Fall. Stephanie was an absolute joy to work with and my wife can't say enough wonderful things. The actual day turned out perfect--great food, everything setup beautifully, and guests having a great time. The icing on the proverbial cake was Stephanie's assistance during the event itself. She brought up refreshments, golf-carted us to some good picture destinations, and pulled us aside whenever there was anything we needed to be looped in on. Thanks to the entire Hawthorns staff for helping to make our wedding so fantastic!

I got married at the Hawthorns October 15, 2016 and it was absolutely beautiful! They really made everything go smoothly the day of. We worked with Abby, who seemed a little spacey, but very friendly; she made sure we had everything we could want/need throughout the day. They do food and drinks onsite, so no need for a caterer! Everything was delicious! We had the ceremony on the patio outside and the reception inside. Everything was stunning, we have received so many compliments, even weeks later on how perfect everything was!

My daughter's wedding at Hawthorn's Golf & Country Club was beautiful and just what she had dreamed of. Shay Hoffman was very easy to work with and accommodating with last minute changes. The staff during the wedding ceremony setup and reception was attentive to all our needs. All of our guests raved about the food. I would HIGHLY recommend Hawthorn's to family and friends.

The Hawthorns Golf and Country Club was an easy selection for my reception. The place is absolutely beautiful for one, but the staff is so welcoming, especially Caroline. I am extremely grateful that Caroline managed my reception. Not only is Caroline experienced and able to help keep track of all the details of the wedding, but she also made it fun. She was extremely easy to talk to and was more than willing to answer all questions; she made me feel like our reception was a priority not only to the venue, but her as well. Also, I was extremely grateful for the flexibility of the club. Working in events myself, I was pleased to find out that the Hawthorns allows you to bring in decor of your own. They did not force you to use their rental options, which just showed me how they appreciated our business and were not out to gain more. I truly have no complaint about the club or staff. I would do my wedding all over again at the Hawthorns Golf and Country Club. I thank them for all their services.

The Hawthorns Golf and Country Club was a beautiful venue for a wedding reception. I was extremely pleased with how the night turned out. The banquet room was perfect for the 200 people, giving plenty of room inbetween tables. The country club made you feel as if you were a member yourself. I felt like our wedding reception was a priority to all. The club was extremely flexible and allowed us to visit as many times as we needed before the big day. They never once made me feel like I could not trust them - they took care of everything on time and how I wished. I would highly recommend the club to any future bride.

My husband and I used The Hawthorns for our ceremony and reception. Caroline Myers, one of the event planners, helped make the day run flawlessly. She was accommodating to our updates in regards to total numbers, specific meal choices, and bar changes. She was expedient in her responses and sent us updated totals whenever we had changes in our invoice, which helped plan accordingly so we could see where our money was going specifically. Closer to the big day, she coordinated with some of our other vendors to give them details about setup, seating, timing, etc. Three days before our wedding, we had to decide whether or not to have our ceremony moved from outside to inside (due to cold weather and possible rain). Caroline helped us with ordering a drape and runner, as well as ensuring that the indoor ceremony space was set up beautifully. On the day of the event, the entire staff made sure that the wedding party, families and guests were all taken care of. Everything ran smoothly and the servers got salads and dinner out to all guests efficiently. The staff coordinated with our other vendors (flowers, DJ, officiant, photographers) to ensure everyone was on the same page so that there were no issues throughout the day and night. It was wonderful as a bride to sit back, enjoy the day and not have to worry setting up decorations, favors, tables, ceremony space, etc., because the staff took care of all of this for us- and did it well! My husband and I would recommend The Hawthorns to future couples looking for a classic venue without having to spend an arm and a leg.

I can't express enough how absolutely perfect this venue was in hosting our wedding. To the staff at the Hawthorns, especially Dayna and Caroline, thank you so much! We had a stunning, and stress free, reception because of all your hard work, and can't thank you enough!

We had a wonderful experience with the Hawthorns. Our budget was average, but the prices at the Hawthorns allowed us to provide some great amenities for our guests. The room is beautiful and all of our outside vendors were very familiar with the space, which meant that I didn't have to worry about a thing regarding set up. Our guests raved about the food, the staff and loved the lay out with two balconies for outdoor seating. Some guests even noted that they would consider using the venue for their own events. The only issue we had was that guests in the back of the room had a hard time hearing speeches given in the front of the room. Everyone was wonderful and I was able to relax b/c the staff had everything under control. I even lost my diamond necklace and earrings as we were packing up but the staff found them and saved them for me to pick up the next day. Don't hesitate to make this your #1 choice in venues for your event!

We were thrilled with the way the room looked for the wedding. We took a lot of good advice from Dayna about table positions and it worked beautifully.
The bartenders were friendly and went out of their way to make drinks to taste. The food for 210 people came out hot and very tasty. Many of our guests commented on
the quality of the meal. I strongly recommend going to the appetizer and dinner tastings. It was an added bonus to have the table cloth, napkin and sash selections there
at the appetizer tasting in addition to some other vendors for ideas.

The Hawthorns was fabulous during the whole planning process and for my reception. The service, food, facility, staff, etc were impeccable and made the whole day stress free. Kelly Letzler was extremely responsive and accommodating even when I sent her a ton of emails with question after question. I would highly recommend The Hawthorns for your wedding. You won't be disappointed!!

Our wedding at the Hawthorns Golf and Country Club was amazing! Kelly Letzler made everything so easy, right from the beginning of the planning process! Not only was staff helpful and patient with all of the pre-wedding planning and worrying, but the actual day of the event they had everything control and we did not have to worry about a thing! We had our ceremony and reception at the Hawthorns. Kelly, the coordinator at the Hawthorns, was absolutely great to work with. She answered all of my questions and emails quickly and was very flexible and able to meet on my schedule. My wedding day went perfectly smoothly and she even walked us through our rehearsal when our officiant couldn't be there. The venue was beautiful and there are lots of different backdrops for pictures.

The Hawthorns was by far our favorite venue and we toured 5-6. The staff was very caring, responsive, accommodating, and made our day that much more special. The facility is absolutely beautiful and we hosted our rehearsal dinner, wedding ceremony, and reception there. Not to mention the food was fabulous! Kelly was professional from start to finish...from the information gathering phase to the estimated cost and finally to the execution of the event! She coordinated all aspects/details of our daughter's wedding reception calmly and exactly as we requested. We knew the evening would go well when we saw her outside waiting for us to arrive and to greet our guests. The facility was beautiful and the food was fantastic! So many of our guests commented on the quality of the food. I really can't say enough good things about Kelly and the Hawthorns. She and the Hawthorns exceeded our expectations! We absolutely chose the right venue when we picked the Hawthorns Country Club. Our wedding day turned out EVEN BETTER than we could have hoped. Dayna & Kelly went above and beyond on our wedding day and in the months prior. We made many changes and they always handled everything with a smile! Like any bride, I random questions popping up & they were great about responding to our emails & easing our minds throughout the planning process.

After our wedding we received TONS of compliments about how wonderful the staff was at our wedding. In addition, we have TONS of compliments about our food!! JUST AMAZING! Plus, the venue is gorgeous.. we were able to take pictures on the golf course. We chose to have our wedding inside & the staff flipped the room in a matter of 15 minutes. VERY FAST!

The day of our wedding my bridal party arrived at the venue at 10am. We found a room with drinks, ice, menus & a staff member waiting to ask us if we would like to order mimosas. Throughout the morning we relaxed, had our hair & make-up done, had snacks, got ready, listened to music,and even got to watch the progression as everything got set-up. The staff was so kind as we walked around the venue & ooh-ed & ahh-ed as they set things up throughout the day.

As the wedding began we found that Dayna & Kelly were on top of EVERYTHING. When the groom & I exited the ceremony we were met with smiles from Dayna & Kelly in our little hiding corner before pictures began. They brought us each a drink & some snacks while we waited for the ceremony room to clear. Dayna & Kelly along with the rest of the staff made sure that we had anything we needed. After we had our reception entrance the staff even made sure that our drinks made it to the head table for us.

I am a VERY anxious person & I have never been more relaxed in my life than I was on my wedding day. It was the best day ever & we have the wonderful staff at the Hawthorns Country club to thank for that!

We came to the Hawthorns after our previously chosen ceremony/reception venue fell through due to horrible customer service. Not only is the venue beautiful, timeless & classy, but the staff at the Hawthorns was EXTREMELY flexible and willing to work with us on a short(er) notice. They were so accommodating throughout the entire planning experience. They were also very professional and always responded to e-mails and phone calls within 1 or 2 days. The wedding day/night went perfectly smooth thanks to the Hawthorns staff. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend the Hawthorns as a ceremony/reception location to any bride & groom.

Stephanie Rice was a joy to work with, and I couldn't have imagined having my wedding anywhere else. The day of the wedding was flawless, and I heard nothing but wonderful compliments from my guests about how courteous the staff was and how delicious the food was. As other reviewers have noted, the value for what you receive at The Hawthorns is wonderful, and the setting is absolutely beautiful. Stephanie Rice, the Catering Sales Manager, was absolutely amazing to work with. She had so many wonderful ideas and was eager to help us make our wedding day special and memorable. She was involved from beginning to end and we wouldn't have changed a thing about our reception at the Hawthorns. We had an absolutely wonderful time, as did all of our guests. I would recommend this venue to everyone!

The Hawthorns did a fabulous job with my daughter's wedding. The reception was so much fun because I had no worries the whole night. All of the staff at the Hawthorns Country Club was so nice and they made sure that the reception ran flawlessly. I was surprised when I brought all of my favors, table decorations, etc over the day before the wedding expecting to set everything up myself and Stephanie told me to simply leave it on a table and they would take care of everything for me. They truly went above and beyond! The venue is also absolutely gorgeous and everyone told me the food was delicious. I would recommend the Hawthorns to any bride!

The Hawthorns Golf and Country Club was the best venue. After being to many weddings over the past 5 years, it turned out to be the best venue we've ever been to or experienced! In our opinion, it was the most beautiful (both in and out) and yet it was very affordable when compared to others. The staff was SUPERB! The food's taste and presentation was amazing. Everything we asked for was provided with a smile. The staff was always in the right place, at the right time, and willing to help out without smothering any of us. A special thanks to Joseph for being our server. However, I would have to say without a doubt the best part of the Hawthorns was our event coordinator, Stephanie Rice. She was always helpful! She gave great suggestions yet she always kept our wishes in mind. She made the day stress free by knowing exactly what we wanted. Not only was it a business partnership coordinating the wedding but it became a friendship. I would highly recommend this venue to any bride and groom!

The Hawthorns staff was exceptional. Steven and Stephanie really took an interest in our reception and helped with many decisions along the way. They worked closely with us to keep our reception in budget.

Ok, we met Shay, another event coordinator when we visited the venue. We picked Hawthorns as our venue and then Shay left- Nicole took over and we had our old package while Shay was in charge. Nicole honored our requests and etc which made us feel worthwhile. Hawthorns is flexible with planning your wedding and it is a luxurious place. Our guests LOVED the place, food, wine brands, and the environment. The photo locations at the Hawthorns are AMAZING! There is a hidden pavement leading to a bridge with all the trees.. perfect spot for pictures! We also had our ceremony there and unfortunately it rained on and off and we still wanted it to be outside and the staff honored our request. Plus, we had our rehearsal lunch at the Hawthorns and it was also amazing. Our guests loved the lunch there as well. I don't think there is any negativity towards the Hawthorns. Thank you, Hawthorns, for making our wedding special. Our guests had a fabulous time!

If you’re looking for an amazing venue + coordinator, look no further than Stephanie Rice at The Hawthorns. She is quite amazing and is just as attentive to detail as I am, which is quite impressive! Planning a wedding during a pandemic is not easy, but having a coordinator who puts out the fires right away was truly such a blessing. The entire Hawthorns staff did amazing and were very thankful Stephanie, and her team were part of our special day!

The Hawthorns is flawless! All nice, large locations on Indy's northside are outrageously expensive, but The Hawthorns has one of the best values and is as top notch as you can get! Both indoor and outdoor locations are incredibly beautiful and need hardly any decoration at all. Staff and food were both fantastic, too!

Everything was beautiful! They are a bit pricy due to being a private country club but they really work with you. I cannot believe we were able to afford a place like that but we did! We didn't have to do a thing but decorate, they took care of it all.

Shay Hoffman at the Hawthorns was great to work with! She hasn't been with the company long, but you'd never know it. She was so knowledgeable, professional, responsive, and an overall joy to work with. We planned our wedding in about 5 1/2 weeks, and the Hawthorns made it as easy as possible! Their all inclusive packages were definitely the best way to go for us! On the day of the wedding, they handled absolutely everything. I didn't have to do a thing! Everything went smoothly, the food was great, and the staff were amazing. Shout out to Greg and Shae for an amazing job taking care of us all day! I would definitely recommend The Hawthorns to anyone looking for a classy, elegant, modern, venue with top notch staff!

Everything was top-notch.

Overall we had a great experience. From having the flexibility of bringing over items to the venue well in advance instead of just day the prior was very helpful. Having the bridal and groom suites stocked with drinks of our choice and needing anything during the day was nice as well. We still get compliments of how the day went and how things overall went. They are easy to work with and try their hardest to meet your individual needs.

The venue was gorgeous, food was amazing. The only negative we had was we had a pile up in the bar area with lots of people waiting for a drink. They started to get a little irritated. The staff was great to work with...very flexible. Stephanie steered us to some fantastic vendors (DJ and cake person) that we ended up using.

Gorgeous venue!!! It was wonderful to have both the wedding & reception at the same place! The staff was very helpful & we were pretty free to do as we wanted.

My overall rating isn't very high for this venue because the whole planning process ended up being a nightmare, but Nicole Kaikas saved the day! At the end of the day, I would give the experience we had the week of our wedding 5 stars, just getting there wasn't the best. We booked our venue over a year ahead of time and started out with a GREAT wedding coordinator, she was a large reason of why we chose this venue. Things changed and she ended up leaving and there was a new woman in charge. She was nice but didn't really seem to care much about helping to get details coordinated, help us, or really even respond. We had met with her several times but didn't seem to get anything completed. It ended up being 2 weeks before our wedding and nothing was finalized, this was not really something I wanted to be stressing out weeks before my wedding. This person ended up leaving and another new coordinator came in named Nicole. We kind of bombarded her because we only had a week to our wedding and our linen colors and small details were no where near finalized. She jumped right in and made us feel 110% better that everything would be taken care of. She was very responsive and flexible. Our wedding reception ended up being just as perfect as we pictured, everything was great! Nicole and Matt really did everything they could to make our wedding reception perfect and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for that! I would recommend this venue, Nicole will be sure it is perfect. :)

The Hawthorn is a beautiful place to have a wedding!!! We have received so many compliments on the food and venue. Unfortunately, we have also received complaints about the service. The bride and groom's family were the last people to be served their dinners and they never received wedding cake. The coordination of the ceremony had some problems and while the food was delicious the wedding cake was incorrect. I was told the staff would also organize a receiving line which didn't happen and my guest were crowded in to a small area during the cocktail area because a portion of the space was roped off for unknown reasons.
Although there were some issues, I was still extremely impressed how they were able to take my vision and make it come alive. The reception was absolutely breathtaking and I appreciate all the time they put in to making sure everything was set up to my liking!

The day of was almost PERFECT! The Hawthorns was a beautiful location and the reception and ceremony were run very smoothly. We did have a slight problem with the bartenders opening up a half hour early which bumped everything up without anyone asking us. Other than that the day was un-real. Amazing food too! Leading up to the wedding was a little rough trying to coordinate things with the staff, but otherwise it was great!

I had a beautiful ceremony, and some really beautiful photos from the Hawthorns (our photos of the space, decor, and scenery really showcase the Hawthorns), but the behind the scenes of the reception was simply underwhelming. Right before the ceremony when I was taking bridal photos, the staff pushed guests out of the side door and directly into my photos. About half of the guests got to see me before the ceremony which was disappointing because I wasn't even seeing the Groom until the ceremony. We had added items to the candy table at the reception, and at the end they were discarded, we had to hunt down the grooms cake they were prepared to throw away, we also had about 25 pieces of cake left from the wedding cake that was tossed, and the staff lined up to take photos with on of our groomsmen near the end of the reception. Our then day of coordinator (I believe the person has changed since then) left at the beginning of our ceremony without letting us know, we had no idea who to go to for what at the end of our reception. I really do commend the Hawthorns on the food (its great), the space (it's beautiful), and things going smoothly out in public view (for the most part) I just feel that from the beginning working with one coordinator, and then it changing half way through, that we would have had the same experience we did in the beginning of our planning with the Hawthorns. My parents received a card saying that in the future the Hawthorns will work to make sure these instances don't happen, which I found in poor taste because we aren't hosting another wedding in the future. There wasn't an apology, it was just a summary of their polices and how they planned on sticking to them in the future.

Do not have your venue during the summer months. Their air conditioning system can’t keep up. When asked , management said there was nothing they could do because there were too many people in one room. It was more comfortable outside with a breeze even though it was 87 outside.

Beautiful place with a great atmosphere and good food.

BUT - both the head of staff and main event planner weren't attentive and didn't listen to (or read) most of my requests at all. I filled out a detailed form about my wedding THREE separate times, and still had to fix 75% of the things the day of while I was trying to get ready. Seating chart, menu, schedule... a LOT of things were wrong and needed to be fixed. (Thanks to my bridesmaids and myself).

Definitely would recommend the Hawthorns if they've changed event planners.

I debated at first about writing a review as I'm not typically the person to do. However, I feel as if I must warn other brides as other brides (and a few of my vendors) attempted to warn me. I didn't listen and I wish that I would have.

Pros:
-The venue is in a great location.
-It has been taken over by Concert Golf, thus it has been slightly renovated. Fresh coat of paint, etc.
-Indoor and outdoor options. The fact that it is airy and open completely sold me.
-It's been nearly 4 weeks and I'm still getting compliments about the food.

Cons:
-I worked with 5 people in a duration of 6 or 7 months. (Looking into the review history, everyone has worked with separate people. I started working with Abby. My main point of contact and my assigned "Day of Coordinator" quit 2 days before my wedding. *No*one* thought they should contact me about this and I was not advised of such until nearly 2 1/2 weeks after my wedding date.
-There was a severe lack of attention and detail because I did not have an assigned DOC (Someone "stepped" in and you could tell it was a "wing it" situation). Lots of confusion by the bridal party and vendors throughout the day.
-My aisle runner was left folded in half, so my bridal party tripped on it. All 10 of us.
-My baker's cake stand was "lost".
-They stated that my bridal party threw away my wedding decor, although that is up for discussion. I went back to the venue to look for the cake stand and a few of my decorations were mysteriously in an upstairs office.
-My rehearsal was double booked, so it was very rushed and stressful.

I would ONLY entertain the idea of having your wedding/reception at this venue IF you have hired a wedding planner separately. IF you have not, please, seek other options. I wish that I would have.

The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous and makes for a great setting for a wedding and reception with very little effort needed to make it perfect. The majority of the staff the day of the wedding was very pleasant and were kind to the guests. The waiters and bartenders were fantastic. Leading up to the day of, and the day of the event, the coordinator Shay was a bit tough to work with. She seemed unorganized and didn't double check things with me so we ended up paying more than we needed to based on the number of guests we had. I understand that this typically happens, but listening to my communication could have prevented this. Instead of trying to make up for the mistake and allow us to reallocate funds, she just said too bad. The night prior to the wedding, we were not able to effectively schedule a rehearsal because she allowed another event that was booked much later than the wedding was booked to have the run of the ENTIRE country club. I had to move the time of my rehearsal due to the other event getting booked, and then was told I could decorate the reception the night prior to the wedding and was not informed until arriving that the room was also being used by the other event and we could NOT decorate. All of this should have been communicated and handled by Shay, and was not handled appropriately. The day of the event it was impossible to find her anywhere except for the 5 minutes before the ceremony started. After the ceremony, she watched as children in dripping wet swim suits ran back and forth behind us while wedding photographs were being taken without saying a word to the children. My father is also a member at the club, and I was shocked at the way she treated everyone BUT my father. I loved the location, but I would be sure to make sure you will not be working with Shay before booking your event here.
