Joe and Katherine Wedding

Wow—what an incredible venue and a beautiful wedding reception. The Gran Centurions truly treated us so well from start to finish.

Joanne, our maitre d’, was absolutely amazing. Quick to respond, respectful, and very kind. We had a unique situation with our dates, and she was incredibly flexible and accommodating. I sat down with her, explained our budget, and she made everything happen—honestly, she exceeded our expectations. She over delivered!

The food was spectacular. The cocktail hour alone was unbelievable—so many delicious options that I wish I had room to try more. Everything was top-notch.

The rooms were newly renovated and looked fantastic, which added even more to the experience.

My wife and I couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. Choosing The Gran Centurions was truly the best decision we made. If you’re looking for a beautiful venue with outstanding food and exceptional service, you won’t be disappointed.

Venue had Flexible, Understanding Staff Committed to My Satisfaction

We had our party at the Gran Centurions recently, and we were very pleased with the quality of the service we received, in particularly the attentiveness of Joanne, who worked with us on all the details. The venue is beautiful, the food was good and, most importantly, Joanne and the other staff went above and beyond to make sure our particular needs were taken care of, and our event was a success.

Great experience

I would highly recommend this venue! I appreciate Joanne so much for being attentive through the entire process. She made herself available for every call and text! The entire staff was kind helpful and attentive. The space is beautiful and the food was great.

Great venue and customer service

We had our daughter’s sweet 16th, Joanne was our event manager, she worked with us from day one, I was able to reach her whenever I had a question or needed assistance, she was excellent, she was there the evening of the event to ensure all went well and if we needed anything her team was really great, they even packed the rest of the food for us to take home. I would definitely recommend the venue, the food was superb and so was the service.

Wedding 9.30.22

We got married at The Gran Centurions on 9/30/22. We cannot recommend it enough. Fantastic location, tasty food, beautiful on the inside and an amazing outdoor garden area with lots of parking. Joanna was amazing from the first day we met and was helpful all the way through. When she gave us ideas, she was always patient and kind. We didn't have a wedding planner, but Joanna led and offered exceptional service on our wedding day. It was our dream wedding and I’m in love with how beautiful Joanna and the staff worked together to make it such a picture-perfect day. They also worked with many great vendors they had recommended. I recommend that you book with The Gran Centurions, you are not going to be disappointed.

A Great Experience

I had my wedding on Sept 23, 2022 and a great time was had by all. Joanne worked with me every step of the way and made sure my wedding day was special. She answered every question and kept an open communication at all times. All of the staff were so welcoming and helpful, the food was amazing and the drinks were great as well. I highly recommend using the Gran Centurions for any event.

B'nai Mitzvah/Fantastic Event

The Gran Centurions hosted our children's B'nai Mitzvah and everything about it was fantastic. Joanne guided us through the entire party planning process & I can't recommend her enough. She continually went above & beyond to make the planning easy & the party a big hit! She made the event run smoothly and was there handling everything at the party to make sure my family could have a great time. Our guests loved the food & the location is very pretty. The service was fantastic. I highly recommend the Gran Centurions.

Awesome venue, amazing staff!

The Gran Centurions was wonderful, it was the perfect venue for us to get married at. Gary helped us out in every way possible to make sure we had a beautiful wedding even during COVID. The ballroom was beautiful and the food was fantastic. The staff all wore masks and gloves the entire time. Joanne was our maitre d, she was communicative, quick to respond and just a delight to work with. I'm an organized and slightly OCD bride and she handled me very well. She made sure that every little detail was perfect throughout the night and with setting up the ballroom.

Surprise 40th!

I can’t say enough great things about our party at the Gran Centurion. Garry, Fran and the rest of the staff went above and beyond for my boyfriends 40th! The food was amazing, the service was top notch. They exceeded all my expectations. Everyone had a great time and our guests loved everything! Thank you for everything and can’t wait for our next event there!!

Best day ever

Small venue with big heart. From my maître d' to the wait staff, I have no complaints. Fran was assigned to take on my wedding in a short span of time and she did not fail to impress. The first time I spoke with her she told me not to worry about a thing, she would take care of it all; she absolutely delivered. The wedding went perfectly and I could not have been more pleased. The price was reasonable and the food was amazing. I will definitely be returning for future events.

Baby Shower in the Terrace Room

Everyone was so easy to work with - both in advance and on the day of the event. Everyone was very pleased with multiple comments on the quality of the food. A splendid time was had by all! If the need arises - we may be back! God bless you all!

Great wedding, great staff, great venue

My husband and I just had our wedding at The Gran Centurions and with all of the stress leading up to our big day I honestly can not thank Fran and the rest of the Gran Centurions staff enough for putting us at easy for the whole ceremony. We didn't even have time to be worried or anxious as the staff was insanely attentive and detail oriented from the second we arrived as "nervously betrothed" to the last few moments as we collected our things and left happy newlyweds. With fantastic food, an atmosphere that manages to feel grand and gorgeous without being obnoxious or over the top, to a genuine enthusiasm from an attentive staff who seemed just happy to be part of our special day. Our guests would not stop staying how great the place was and how fantastic everything was. Can not recommend enough.

Wonderful experience

We had our wedding back in July 2018 I can’t begin to explain how amazing and easy the process was. Joann who was the wedding coordinator was just amazing along with Gary she worked with everything we asked and the food was amazing. I recommend this place for the service and for the kindness.

Great wedding

I had a wonderful wedding at the Gran centurion! They were very friendly, helpful and flexible. I was originally suppose to get married in October but had to change the wedding sooner to July because I became pregnant and they were very flexible with helping to change the date so I can fit into my dress. Joanne was wonderful! She was so helpful from the time I was planning the wedding and especially during! I’d recommend this place to anyone!!

Excellent venue, great food and affordable

We're so glad we picked The Gran Centurions for our wedding. The price was affordable, the location great, the halls were just recently refurbished and looked fabulous for our themed wedding. The food was fantastic and raved by all our guests. Most importantly Joanne, the Gen. Mgr., made sure everything went smoothly and was a great help from the early planning stages right up to the big day.

Amazing venue!

Joanne the maitre’d is incredible! She’s lovely to work with and so talented. She executed my vision and went above and beyond to make sure it was all perfect. She’s easy to talk to and work with. The food was outstanding as well as attentiveness of staff. Our wedding was incredible!

Give it a chance it might be the place where your dream comes true

Hello!

So we got married 10-20-18 @ the Gran Centurios/ceremony in the gazebo and reception in the terrace room.

First of all Joanne is such a sweetheart to work with, We were so pleased to work with her.

I was having issues finding a place since we had a very intimate wedding 35ppl, but Joanne worked with our numbers. Very good prices!

I completely fell in love with The terrace room, its renovated- white shiny floors and walls and a beautiful chandelier in the center.

It’s just such a classy, modern room. Perfect princessy room :D

The Gazebo was decorated very pretty with lights and flowers and the set up was beautiful.

Food- was delicious the Penne vodka is the best- “we had buffet style and the cake was included the packet.”
Service-was great they are very friendly.
I would definitely recommend this place to anyone planning any kind of party.

Beautiful event with a special personal touch

Working with Fran to plan my daughter's bat mitzvah was an absolute pleasure. She advised us every step of the way and we came to rely on the expertise of Fran for all the details for our important day. She guided us in food and decorating choices, and made sure the challah and cake were just perfect for us. Her staff also arranged our candy table just beautifully. It helped to take so mch of the work off of us so we could enjoy our day. Fran is one of those people you will love doing business with--she took care of our event as if we were family. It's rare to see such special care these days. The food was delicious and the shortly temple fountain was a hit with the kids. I have already recommend Gran Centurions to friends, family and co-workers and would do the same to anyone who wants a special day you will remember forever, handled professionally and with care.

Excellent venue, professional staff and just the best overall experience

I am one skeptic about reviews and rarely write but I make an exception as a way for thanking Gran Centurion in Clark for the wonderful service and attention to detail for my friend's wedding on September 2 2018. They were cued into everything, helped with the smooth flow of events on the day and you would have thought our event coordinator was part of the family. I was the MC for the day and I have experience organizing alot of events and the level of service received here was above and beyond, not a single complaint, even when it was time to leave, the way they handled the guests was the most professional you could imagine. The wedding guests loved the place, the ambiance, the food, the overall picture worthy opportunities. They allowed the guests to enjoy everything making them feel like it was a wedding in a private venue and not a commercial one. Thank you all and keep up the good work, am truly going to recommend more people to come here.

Recently we had my fathers repass at the Gran Centurion. I felt the need to write a review because the service we received was exceptional. Given the situation we didn’t have a lot of time to plan and we had a limited budget. The owner, Gary worked with our budget and the menu so that we could have a very nice repass that was affordable since we had over 100 guests. The food was great, the staff was pleasant and on top of everything. The venue was clean and the room was very nice. Gary went out of his way to work with us and make things as easy as possible for us given the situation. I can’t say enough good things about my experience with this venue. Additionally, for what you get the pricing was extremely reasonable in comparison to other places I called, the food was very good and everything was displayed nicely. I will absolutely be using the Gran Centurion in the future and greatly appreciate all they did for us to accommodate all of our requests. Definitely would recommend this venue, I can only imagine a wedding there would be beautiful, Gary and his staff were absolutely wonderful to work with!!

I have been looking for a venue to celebrate my sister's 30th birthday. I stumbled upon The Gran Centurions on Yelp and boy am I glad I did! The positive reviews led me to call in and set up a date to discuss what I was looking for in hosting this event. I met with Joanne and she was professional, caring, and empathetic towards our needs. She handled booking the venue with such grace. Her experience in the business is shown through her excellent communication and overall vision of what it takes to run a catering business. I look forward to hosting more events at The Gran Centurions in the future.

The venue is an absolute gem! The location is perfect, and easy to find. The property is visually appealing with plenty of parking. We made a visit last year to determine a venue for the wedding and reception. The coordinator was friendly and accomodating. It was perfect, but we decided to wait. A year went by and we began looking again and we came backto Gran. Joanne is such a great person, very easy to talk too.She made our special day perfect! Our guest had a good time and raved about the food and cake! I will recommend Gran Centurions for all future occasions.

Gran Centurion was the venue of my choice for my Sweet 16. I completely fell in love with the Colonnade Room from the appearance, the changing color pillars, the drop down screen and the late size of the room. Joanne was so nice when we sat with her to discuss the menu and ensuring that they will make my event one that I will never forget. They are accommodating my needs and my requests for my event. You will not be disappointed choosing the Gran Centurion for your next event. I couldn't be happier!

We were extremely pleased with the cleanliness of the facility the minute we stepped through the doors. The Colonnade Room is breathtaking and captured our eye. Joanne was our contact person and she was a pleasure throughout the process especially with all of our questions. She accommodated and worked with us to meet our needs for our event. I highly recommend that you consider The Gran Centurion and Joanne when you are looking to plan an event.

My mother's wedding was in July so I'm super late! JOANNE is the best! Before I rant about her excellence id like to say that the entire staff was amazing! The staff at the buffet( shout out to the cooks the food was beyond amazing) , the bartenders ( super fun and fast) and even the people who were bussing tables were super pleasant. I was amazed at how fast they worked. I didn't spill a plate on my dress( my usual behavior). Do you know why? It's not because I'm an adult and I'm super careful ( I am an adult but I'm clumsy,.babies keep their clothes cleaner than I do.) It's because as soon as I ate the last crumb, the plate disappeared. Before I can blink everything was clean and stayed clean all night. Joanne is the definition of a powerhouse. One minute she was serving food, the next she was bussing a table. I danced for a couple minutes and boom, shes serving cake. I think what makes her so great is that she smiled the whole time. She genuinely loves her Job and you can tell. Shes able to organize and keep everyone in check but she also put herself in the line of fire (she actually worked with the crew). I have a lot of respect for her and the staff. They made my mom's special day perfect. There was a lot of us and the staff didn't break a sweat ! I had a great time and honestly it's all because of the great staff at the Gran Centurion.

My husband and I are so incredibly pleased with our experience at Gran Centurions. We had both our rehearsal dinner and wedding there. Fran was an absolute pleasure to work with and was so accommodating to everything we wanted. Our day went perfectly. Everything was set up on time and all the little details we asked for were executed perfectly. My gosh was the food excellent. We received compliments all night about the delicious food and beautiful atmosphere. I would highly recommend The Gran Centurians for any event! We were so pleased!

My husband and I couldn’t be more happy and blessed to have had our wedding at this venue. We got married September 16, 2017 and had the best experience and the most amazing service. Joanne Mast was our maitre d’ and she is the best!!! She was flexible, helpful, friendly, welcoming and just plan awesome. The food was phenomenal so much so that we will be using the company to cater for our son’s first birthday. The bathrooms and entire venue were extremely clean. The overall experience was wonderful and we would recommend this venue to anyone.

Gran Centurions is a lovely venue to have your fairly tale event. I've had the pleasure of being a guest, then a groom there and the food was AMAZING each time. EVERY SINGLE GUEST we spoke to raved about the food, and assumed we paid way more than we actually did for our wedding based. The key to the overall success of our happily every after event was JOANNE, she's a true rock star. She worked with us on everything from pricing to planning. She was extremely patient, knowledgeable, and super resourceful which really came in handy. In the days leading up to the wedding, we experienced many complications from the weather, losing crucial contributors and family support alike However, through it all, there was our guardian angel Joanne. She held everything together, satisfied rude guests, and seemed prepared for every plot twist the day would throw at us. Words cannot express Joanne's true awesomeness, having her a part of your special day will prove invaluable. We were so floored by everything. Joanne was our specialist in charge and she really made the event happen beautifully. From the day we booked to our exit after, I can't say enough to praise her. The food was outstanding and the service efficient.

Fran and team were absolutely wonderful to work with! We were in the garden room which was nice since we got to use the patio and the inside area. I hosted my sister's bridal shower here and they were so accommodating especially with everyone's dietary needs. The place is gorgeous and the staff was attentive and impeccable. I highly recommend this place to anyone and it's close to the major highways which is convinient to all our guest!!

My family and I had a party this past weekend @ The Gran Centurions and Joanne, Gary and the rest of the banquet staff really took away the stress that comes along with party planning. My husband and I had an amazing experience here. We got married on April 14, 2017. The place is immaculate. Since that day to now, our guests are still talking about how wonderful the place and wedding turnt out. The person I'd worked with was Joanne, she is an amazing women. She just makes you feel like your apart of her family. She was very attentive to our needs. She returned phone calls in a timely manner. She was just awesome, the whole staff including the owner Gary, he is the most funniest person I've ever came across ??. Just wonderful ,wonderful ,wonderful. I will also like to thank Fran as well for stepping in you also did a funamenal job. Last Saturday evening our organization held a major fund raiser at the Gran Centurions. The staff is very professional and flexible in dealing with last minute requests. Garry, the owner worked with us on pricing as we are a non profit medical relief organization. Joanne Mast picked up on the initial planning of the event making suggestions on meal selection, hot hors d'oeuvres for the reception in the Terrace Room, and then the Collonade Room for the banquet. She did a fantastic job and was a pleasure to work with the whole evening. During pre-event visits, we also worked with Fran who is also very professional and helpful in making suggestions. Our meal selection was delicious, and the servers were professional and friendly. At the end of the evening our guests gave "kudos" to the Gran Centurions. They will see us again in the future.

My Husband and I recently got married here, and it was amazing! Joanne Mast made sure our wedding was perfect, it was everything we could ask for. Room was great and set up to everything I had hoped for, food was delicious, and all the staff were so friendly and helpful. If you decide to have any event here, especially a wedding/engagement party, please go see Joanne she literally gave us the best day of our life. The Gran Centurions is the place to be.

Our original consult with Garry was what sold us. Knowing with a set budget that our wedding day could be possibly.

Fast forward to our Tasting with Joanne - right from the beginning she was very accommodating and went above our expectations. The tasting was decent - my husband and I were fine with the food but thoroughly impressed with the service.

The week of our wedding I had been in contact with the Gran Centurion and the day before our big day I went and met with Joanne on a Friday - dealing with all the stress of planning the wedding and the recent loss of my father I was overwhelmed. Things weren't as going as smooth as I planned and Joanne put my stress at ease - she was very reassuring and promised things will be perfect by tomorrow Saturday.

The big day finally came and when I arrived at the venue - Joanne greeted me and showed me everything she did and the room looked amazing even had a display with some of my own decor that I wasn't expecting and it made the room. Everything that I was previously concerned with and worried about Joanne made sure it was truly perfect. Joanne was truly a phenomenal person to work with. She made sure my husband and I were taken care of, happy, enjoying our time, she kept us on schedule effortlessly! Paying attention to every detail - when she saw we hadn't eaten she made sure plates were made for us. And the food that we previously were content with Turned out to be Exceptional Exquiste. Everyone raved about the food! And it was amazing - being foodies we were thoroughly impressed!

If I had to ever recommend an event space that truly
Caters to the individuals - it is Joanne and the staff at the Gran Centurion - in the future I will be using the Gran Centurion and I highly recommend them to anyone with any budget!

My husband and I will always remember Joanne for making our day truly one to remember and special.

Joanne Mast has helped my fiancé and I easily decide on celebrating our wedding at the Gran Centurions. She was extremely helpful, sweet, very patient, and a great listener. Joanne took her time in showing us all there is to offer, and even showed us the table cloths in the colors we have picked out for our wedding. We just got married at Gran Centurions on March 11th and everything was perfect. We had a number of out of town guests, so the proximity to the hotel off Exit 135 of the Parkway made it the convenient for everyone. Fran, our wedding coordinator, was amazing. She worked with us each step of the way -- no matter how many questions we had, she was always there to answer. Our guests commented on the food (great job Gary), If anyone went home hungry, it was their own fault. The servers and bar tenders were very friendly and accommodating. We had our ceremony and reception in The Colonnade room -- the transformation from ceremony room to reception in less than an hour went smoothly. We had the cocktail hour in the Terrace - had the weather been Spring like the days before our wedding, the doors would have been opened guests could have gone outside. The wedding party had our cocktail hour in the "bridal suite" downstairs - nothing fancy but it was a nice place to relax a bit before the reception. There aren't enough words to say how truly memorable the Gran Centurions made our wedding day!!!

So while looking for a venue I decided to check out this spot. Since the moment I walk in I was blown away with how beautiful and spacious the venue was. I met with Joanne who is so sweet and professional and very informative. The place is like heaven. We also had a complimentary food tasting and it was very delicious. Can't wait to say "I Do" here.

My Parents booked This venue as an engagement Party for me & my Fiance, I very impressed with the Professionalism and attention to detail I received from Gary & FRAN! Although tastings are not given for engagement parties, we were given one and the food was AMAZING! Fran made you feel as if you were a part of the family & she was there to take all your worries away. If you like to feel special and have all your needs met on your special day, the Gran Centurions is the place you would want to book. My friend and I had ur 50th birthday party on 11/19/16. We visited a lot of places trying to find the right place to host ur party. I just got married at Gran Centurions this past weekend and everything was perfect. We were able to have our ceremony outside at the gazebo and it was really beautiful. This place has a very large parking lot and a driveway, so it is pushed back off the road. We chose the buffet and they had so much food and it was all so delicious, everybody was commenting on how much they enjoyed it. Garry, the owner, worked with us directly when we were planning our wedding and answered all the questions we had very quickly. He was flexible and allowed us to switch a few things on the menu. The servers and bar tenders were very friendly and accommodating. The Colonnade room holds the most people and is the nicest. We had the cocktail hour in the other room upstairs, the Terrace which was also nice. They have a "bridal suite" downstairs which is just a room with a table and chairs, and I believe there was a TV - nothing fancy. I wouldn't recommend it to get dressed in, but it's fine for waiting before the ceremony or for cocktail hour just for the wedding party. The price was lower than most of the other places we checked out for the wedding and seemed to have better value than most of the other places.

All I have to say the place is not only beautiful but the service and food will leave your guest speechless!! They are reasonably proced and worth the money! Would definitely recommend them to anyone!

What can I say except EVERYTHING was just GREAT! The staff was awesome and accomodating. Always responsive to questions that popped up and they popped up a lot lol. Patient and caring. They took care of everything during the party and told me to sit down and relax. JOANNE was just awesome and Jeannie the bartender she was great. Awesome personality and made my guests feel welcomed. The rest of the staff was helpful and friendly while we set up. ANA, Maria, Gabriela, Angela, Paula, Fatima & Raquel All were great. If i forgot someone I apologize. FOOD was delicious and the room I had was the Colonade room..just soectacular ... I am still getting compliments on the venue and the party....Than you Gran Centurion!

Everything was wonderful. The place was beautiful . The people were very friendly. We only had a few complaints that one of the servers were rude when serving the soup and salad. The soda was flat if its a dry wedding I suggest you bring your own drinks. Otherwise I would strongly suggest this place.

First of all, primarily use Joanne if you can. If my ratings were just her, I'd say 5 all across. She was amazing to work with and rolled with a lot of the unique things we wanted. She was super professional and did everything she could to make our day amazing. Unfortunately the rest of the office staff do not match her amazingness and left a lot to be desired of. Up until the day before my wedding we were going to be able to go in and decorate ourselves the morning of and we could drop everything in the smaller hall the day before (our centerpieces were all handmade and needed to be assembled before they could go out). When we went to drop everything off, they had to scramble to find a place to store it and then told us we couldn't get in until 330. Mind you, my ceremony was at 4. Last minute they booked other events and no one bothered to follow up and let us know of the change in plans. The gentleman we dealt with was very blaise about the whole thing and could have cared less that we now had to scramble to sort everything out. Joanne thankfully got everything sorted and we were able to show her the centerpieces and the staff set up everything perfectly. The other office staff often failed to pass along messages to Joanne. Overall, it was a great night and the food was amazing. And yes, perhaps a Bridezilla freakout moment over not being able to decorate but to be honest, when you throw a bride curveballs the day before her wedding, I think you should handle it much more professionally. Overall they were very accommodating about specific requests and various changes. Everything was great up to that point and after it was sorted but that one moment left a sour taste in my mouth.

Very Bad Experience

Please read, do not skip this review as I share my honest experience. Do not have your wedding here! Especially a traditional wedding. I repeat! Look else where to get your money’s worth. Joanne was very nice to work with but on the day of my wedding they highly disappointed me and messed up my whole wedding.

They double booked and rushed my marriage ceremony, which means every money spent on the ceremony from decor to my vendors for that hour was all wasted. A lot of money wasted and the sad thing is, they refuse to acknowledge their mistake. I received pictures and videos with the CEO Gary front and center angrily yelling at my guest to leave the hall for his next double booked event to happen. Where they do that at? Where’s the respect and professionalism. My guest kept saying “ I heard they do this all the time by double booking events”

They then proceeded to charge extra $2k+ for overflow without providing food or drinks for this extra charge. The most disgusting part of all this is that, the kitchen workers threw away extra food that I had catered in the trash (not gran centurion food) & upon reporting this nothing was done about it. Gran centurion turned the most important day of my life into a nightmare, I didn’t get a ceremony because we were rushed out of the hall, I didn’t get to eat ANY food because there was none provided for me and my husband & my personal catered food was thrown away by STAFF. Horrible service

I got married here in September of 2018. To keep it short, I will just say that ALOT OF THINGS did not go as planned. They literally had another event end at the time my ceremony started and they threw my decor together so fast that everything was a MESS. My maitre d was nowhere to be found most of the night. Her name was Joanne , she seems great at first but when it is the day of your wedding she is horrible. My photographer was more of a maitre d to me than Joanne was. I can go on and on .. DO NOT GET MARRIED HERE.

I booked this venue for an event, and 4 days before the event the owner demanded more money than originally agreed and ended up refunding my deposit to book another party. He was completely unprofessional, rude, and condescending. I wouldn't recommend anyone work with him.
